Second Chances

Tori ran for her front door, only to be blocked by a wall of fire. She quickly turned and ran for her back door, but the roof collapsed in front of her. She panicked. With no way out, she was bound to burn. That's when a window caught her eye. It wasn't blocked, but it was always stuck. There would be no way to open it, but she had a different idea. She backed up, and ran at it as fast as she could. The thin glass shattered and she rolled out onto her front lawn. She rolled down the slope, taking quite a beating from the rough ground. She was almost knocked unconscious, but managed to stand up.

She began coughing up ash and soot that got in her lungs while she was trapped. Tori turned to see her new house burning to the ground. She burst into tears. She had worked so hard to get that, even though it was a small piece of shit. She was paid barely enough to survive at her job, but she still managed to buy a house and some small possessions to call her own. But now, everything she had ever worked for burned in a fiery blaze. It was official. She was now homeless.

Tori was a twenty-four year old sleek tigress, with a soft coat and bright green eyes. She was a kind, hardworking person, and that managed to get her a job, which she gratefully took, no matter how crappy it was. In a society that cared only about itself, furs needed to fend for themselves, and take what they could. At least, furs at her position. So, she took whatever she could scrounge up. And now it was gone. All of it. If she could have called her friend, Zak, she would have. He was a good wolf, with his heart in the right place. He would have helped her. If only she could have contacted him in time!

Unfortunately for her, she didn't know his number or his address, even though they were good friends. She was on her own, alone, homeless. The fire department hadn't even shown up yet, so she had no hope of saving any of her valuables. Even her car was gone; the garage had collapsed on it at the beginning of the fire. So, hopeless, Tori turned and walked away.

She had no idea where she would go, or where she was going now, but she had to go somewhere. She looked around for a pool of water first, though; she had to clean the soot out of her system. It didn't take much to find one due to all the recent rain. She rinsed off, and took a few small sips. The water felt so good to her after being in that fire. But this was no place for a bath. She needed to get going, to the city, she decided, to try and find help. So she stood up and headed for the city, which was only about half a mile away. The walk there was cold, the nighttime breeze hitting her through her tattered clothes. She soon started to shake from the cold. She considered running to get her blood flowing, but then decided against it; she would need all the energy she had if she wanted to survive the walk to the city. She was running on reserves as it was.

She eventually arrived at the city at around midnight, according to her watch, but it was shaken up so much that she didn't know if that was correct or not. She was just grateful that she managed to make it to the city. She was even more grateful when she found a small church. "I hope I can stay here," she said to herself as she approached the small structure. She put her hand on the door, and tried to open it, but her attempts were futile, it was locked. She did not have the energy to try to find another sanctuary, so she just fell asleep on the front steps.

In her dreams, she was having horrible flashbacks, mostly about her abusive childhood. She could almost see her father beating her and her mother. The way he would use the golf club, sometimes even the bat, to beat her. It was horrible, and so was he. He was a drunk, nothing more. Just a drunk abuser. She could see him with that bat, almost feel it...

She was awoken by an orange tabby cat in a police uniform. "Ma'am, I'm gonna have to ask you to leave." "What? But officer, I lost my home in a fire, and I have nowhere to go," she pleaded. "Yeah, yeah, the same old 'poor me' story. The city needs to do something about you people. Now leave," said the cat, spitting at her and barely missing. Tori stood up and continued walking into the city, tears slowly falling down her face.

On the way, she passed many other furs, most of which either looked the other way, or ignored her altogether. She was shown no courtesy, no kindness. She was an outcast. She began crying harder. Where would she go? What would she do? Did anyone care? These questions plagued her mind, and she had an answer for none of them. All she knew was that she was hungry. And that she was broke. She had no choice; she had to become a beggar. Just the thought of it created fresh tears. And yet, she had to, or she would starve. Then she thought about it, and she remembered! Her mother had set up an emergency bank account that had three hundred dollars in it! A smile grew on her face as she rushed to the nearest bank.

She finally arrived at a large, well-kept marble building that was the Federal Bank. She rushed up the marble stairs to the entrance, only to be stopped by two large security guards. "And just where do you think you're going," one of them asked in a deep tone. "I was going inside thank you very much! Now, if you'll please move, I will be on my way," Tori stated. "Oh, you're not going in there. In fact, I think that you were just leaving," the other guard said. "You don't understand! I have to get in so that I can take out a deposit! Otherwise I'll starve," Tori said in a more serious tone. The two guards just looked at each other and laughed. "You're going to take out a deposit? HA! And I built a spaceship to planet marshmallow, eh," one laughed, nudging the other with his elbow. He joined him in the laugh. When they finally calmed down, one said, "Look little missy, you're going to turn and leave, or we'll have to use force." "I'm not going anywhere until I get my money," Tori said defiantly. They laughed again. "Alright then, we warned ya," the one with the deep voice said as they both grabbed Tori by the arms and tossed her down the stairs, giving her plenty of bruises and cuts, on top of the ones she already had. They started laughing again as they went back to their posts.

Tori began to cry again. She was going to be forced to beg, and as much as she didn't want to, she had no other choice. She would rather not starve. So, she found a slightly shaded area on the sidewalk, sat on her knees and began asking passing furs for change. "Sir, do you have any change?" she would ask. However, most passed her by, but every once and a while, someone would drop any spare dimes or quarters they had into her paws. She would thank them, but they would just walk away. One fur was very kind, though. He was a large black panther who was eating a sandwich, but when he saw her, he took a chunk of his sandwich off and gave it to her. She thanked him with all her heart, but he just nodded and left. She examined it for a second, before shoving it into her mouth. It was the best damn piece of a sandwich she had ever eaten, and she savored the flavor, texture, before swallowing it. But once it was gone, she was snapped back to the harsh reality of her situation.

She checked to see how much she had gotten. She counted six dollars and thirty five cents. She put the coins back in her pocket and started to walk again. She strolled through the city and eventually reached the Midcity Park. The place was a nice green field, with trees and benches for picnics, and trashcans for cleanup. She decided to walk through the area and see if there was any shred of hope lingering here. She followed the main path through it. It was quite a scenic route, it passed many small lakes and streams, not to mention a rather larger tree in the center of the park. Though it looked nice, the park showed no signs of hope. Defeated, Tori sat down underneath a tree and cried.

She cried for hours, just wanting for the day to end, yet not wanting a new one to begin. She wished she could have just died; she saw no point in living anymore. She was officially at the bottom now. She had no life, no home, and no food. She was lucky enough to find a water fountain, so at least she wasn't thirsty. She would be soon, though, if she didn't stop wasting water on tears.

She did her best to stop crying and go to sleep; according to her watch and the sky itself, it was nighttime. Tori curled into a ball and tried to stay as warm as she could as she drifted off into a light sleep.

She woke up the next day in the early morning. Her stomach rumbled. She stood up, and began looking for food. There were no furs in the area that early, so she would need to find another way. In a trashcan, she saw a half-eaten burger. It looked so tempting, she just wanted to dig in and eat it. "No, I won't stoop that low," she said, holding herself back. With a sigh, Tori kept moving. She occasionally stopped at some water fountains, but other than that, she didn't stop. But she still didn't know where to go.

The day was especially hot for a summer day, and she was sweating pretty badly, her fur beginning to smell bad and look rather vile. She took shade where she could, drank when she could, and begged anyone she could, though most turned away. As the day went on, more furs began to pass her. There were some nice ones who gave her change, and there were some rude ones who shoved her out of their way, or tripped her. One person even took some of the money that she had gotten. Her world was a cruel, cold one, with only a few rays of light beaming through her dark clouds.

The week went on, and nothing changed. She had found a cardboard box, which she cut up into a rectangle. She also found a marker, and wrote HOMELESS in big letters on the box's front. If anything, it might get her some more money. So she begged.

The next year was the same for her. She would beg, get some change from the nicer furs, try to find something to eat, drink, and a place to sleep. Days were hot, and nights were cold, especially since her face was wet with tears every night. She would put up with abuse from many, and try not to hurt herself to much, since going to the hospital was not an option for her. A group of college kids found it to be a great pass time hobby messing with her. They would scare away people that would give her change, steal any food she had, and sometimes they just flat out beat her. Of course, no one stopped to help her, after all, why would they need to help someone like her? She did try the bank a few more times, but she was always met with the same two pandas that would kick her back down the stairs.

But she endured it all, what else could she do? She had no choice. Her life pretty much sucked, up until one day in late November. She was sitting under a tree in the park, quietly sobbing, when a silver wolf with a leash attached to a collar he was wearing, led by that same black panther, just so happened to walk by her. The wolf whispered something into the panther's ear, and the panther nodded. Tori was completely unaware of this; her face as buried in her arms as she cried.

The wolf tapped her on her shoulder, and she quickly looked up. The wolf had his arm extended, and in it was a twenty-dollar bill. Tori stood up and looked him in the eyes with a soft, thankful gaze. "Thank you sirs, you are extremely kind," she said producing a weak smile. "That voice...I know that voice," the wolf mumbled. The tigress had already sat back down, and was now wondering why they were still here. Normally people just walked away. But, then again, this wolf looked vaguely familiar. There was an odd silence, both the wolf and tigress stared at each other, trying to remember where they knew each other from. Oddly enough, though, the panther was the first to speak up. "Hey, I think I remember you. Yeah, I gave you some of my sandwich a while ago?" "Yes, I remember sir. A thousand thanks," she said louder than expected.

"Tori?"

She looked shocked for a second. She hadn't heard that name in a while. People normally just referred to her as 'that filthy hobo'. But if he knew her name, then that must have meant...

"Zak?"

"Oh my god, it is you," the wolf said, giving Tori a huge hug, which Tori promptly returned. "You know this girl," The panther asked. "Yes, master, she is the girl that I told you about. The one that supposedly died in the fire," Zak said excitedly. "Ah, so you're the one my pet has been longing to see. My name is Daniel. I'm Zak's master," said the panther, extending his hand. Tori shook his hand, and looked happy for a moment, before suddenly becoming quite scared. "What's wrong? We're not gonna bite," Daniel said with a chuckle. Tori pointed behind him. He turned around and saw a group of five college kids standing there, staring at Tori. "Can I help you," Daniel asked in a sort of mocking tone. "Yeah," one of them said, "you can move out of our way." Zak bared his teeth and let out a low growl at him. Daniel unclipped Zak's leash and set it on the ground by Tori, who proceeded to pick it up and examine it. It was medium length, and an appeasing shade of blue.

Daniel and Zak stood staring straight at the punks that were opposite them. "Bring it," one of them yelled. The two sided ran toward each other, the college kids clearly being stronger, but Zak and Daniel had better fighting skills. The brawl lasted for no longer than fifteen minutes, with the kids fleeing from the two. "Ha! That'll teach them," Zack said. But one kid obviously hadn't had enough. He picked up a large flank of wood and hurled it at Tori, knocking her unconscious. Zak almost chased after them, but his master stopped him. "We need to worry about her first." "Yes sir," Zak said, bending down to pick up the limp tigress. "Whew, she smells bad. First thing you're doing when we get home is giving her a bath, whether she's awake or not," Daniel ordered. Zak nodded. "Good. C'mon, let's get back to the car," he said waving his hand, signaling for Zak to start moving.

Tori woke up to the smell of actual food cooking. She looked around at her surroundings. She was in someone's room, probably Zak's. She also noticed that she was in an actual bed and was clean. It felt so good to lay on something soft and to not have so much filth on her. She could have lain there all day if it weren't for the aroma that was seeping its way into the large room. She stood up to find the source of the smell, when she noticed she was naked. But food was much more important.

She followed her nose, which led her strait into a large kitchen, where she saw Zak wearing a pink apron and cooking something. "Oh, hey there," he said with a smile, "master's in the other room. He wanted to see you when you woke up. You best not keep him waiting." He gestured towards a room that was connected to the kitchen. Tori entered the room and was amazed at what she saw. It was an enormous room, with a huge entertainment area, complete with a 75" Flatscreen T.V. and all the game consoles anyone could ever want. The room had a pool table and a large red couch, where Daniel was reclining and drinking whiskey. "Hey, you like what you see? Heh, yeah, it's pretty nice. Now come here," He said, patting an area of the couch next to him, "We need to talk about you staying here." "Y-You want me to stay," She said as she shyly made her way over to him. "Of course I do. And so does Zak. He's quite excited that you've been found." He paused to take a sip of his whiskey. "You and he will be sharing a bed, ok." Tori just nodded. "Also, I could always use another helping hand around the house. So, you'll need to do some chores once you feel better. Also, I need you to wear this." He tossed her a red collar with a small golden plate on it that read 'Property of Danielle'. "D-Does this m-make me you're slave," Tori stuttered. "Only if you put it on," he said with a wink. She thought for a second. "Well, if Zak trusts you..." She brought it up to her neck, but hesitated. Did she really want to be a slave? That thought was soon eradicated, though. Instead, she saw of it as a ticket to a new life, a life better that her original, a way off those wretched streets. At that, she clipped the collar on. "Good. Now, slave, go see if Zak needs any help. Later, we'll talk about chores and duties," Daniel said, taking another sip of his whiskey. "Yes...sir," she said as she turned to leave.

Zak was busy digging through some cabinets as Tori entered the room. "I'm supposed to help you," she said. "Oh," Zak said, popping his head up. "Well, then. I need some help with dinner. You see that cabinet right there," he pointed at a cabinet next to Tori. "I need some more salt for the fish, and also some tarragon." She did some digging and found a small container that read 'Tarragon' on its label. She took it, and the salt, over to Zak, who took them and proceeded to cook the fish. "Zak, I just wanted to thank you. You're a great friend," Tori said, giving Zak a tight hug. He stopped what he was doing to return the hug, when he saw his master walk in. "Hello sir," he said with a small bow. "Hey. So, when's dinner gonna be ready," Danielle asked. "Soon, I was just topping the salmon. Where will you be eating sir," Zak said, almost burning himself on a hot pan. "I think we should all eat in the den." Daniel smelled the salmon and gave a smile of approval.

"So, I, um, well..." Tori's voice trailed off. Daniel gave a puzzled look. Tori was obviously confused, about what he did not know. "What's wrong?" Daniel asked. "Well, I still don't know stuff like, um, what to do, or where to eat, or rules overall," she said shyly. "Well, you can follow me into the den; it looks like Zak is done with the salmon. And for now, we'll all eat at the table. I'll tell you the rules tomorrow," he said, putting his arm around Tori, leading her to the den. It was a large room, with nice red walls. It had a large T.V. at one end, and some nice furniture in the middle of it, facing the T.V. Behind that was a table surrounded by four chairs. The table itself had a nice mahogany finish, and the chairs were looked like they were chestnut, or maybe maple. There was a large marble fireplace next to the T.V. and it already had a nice fire roaring in it. The room was quite cozy.

"Here we go," Daniel said, pulling out a chair for the tigress. Tori gladly took a seat; it was nice to finally sit on something comfortable. The ground that she normally sat on had taken a toll. As she sat, Zak walked in, a nice smile spread across his muzzle. "Here it is, glazed salmon, topped with tarragon and lemon zest, sided with baked potatoes and rice." He placed three plates, each full of food, in front of each of their chairs. He then went and retrieved three crystal wine glasses and a bottle of Auslese, and even though it was a desert wine, his master had requested it. The wolf then poured it into the three glasses and set them beside everyone's plates. He dispersed silverware and napkins to each of them, bowed to his master, and took a seat.

"Wow, wolfie, this looks great," Daniel said, taking a bite of the fish. Tori, however, was stunned. She had never seen a meal like this, even before the fire. It was normally a frozen box of pizza and a glass of milk. Her mouth watered as she slowly lifted the fork up to her mouth. When she took that first bite, her eyes widened and she almost dropped the utensil. It was the most amazing thing she had ever tasted!

Zak started giggling when he saw her reaction. It was obvious that she had it hard, but this was still kind of funny. He got a strange look from his master, but when he too saw Tori, he began giggling. Tori was oblivious to them both; she had closed her eyes and was savoring the taste of the fish. "This...Is the best thing I've ever tasted," she eventually said, reluctantly swallowing the food. "Thanks," Zak said, blushing a bit. "My little wufie is quite the cook," Daniel said, giving a sly wink to the wolf. Zak blushed harder.

Tori took a sip of the wine. She purred as the liquid hit her tongue. It was exquisite, a true marvel to her. It had been so long since she had wine, and it was cheap wine at that. But this made her feel fancy, almost like a queen. She was in heaven; that was, until her wine ran out. She was embarrassed at gulping it down like that, especially because both of them were looking at her. "I'm sorry," she said shyly. "It's just, it's been so long since I've had wine. And it was nowhere near as good as this." Daniel let out a hearty laugh and said, "It's okay. Zak, pour her another glass, would you?" "Yes sir," he said as he picked up the glass and began to fill it. "Here, drink it slowly this time. Savor the flavor," he said as he gave the glass to Tori. She nodded and took the glass out of Zak's paw.

She managed to take it slow, with both the wine and the food. It was by far the best meal of her life, her face clearly showing satisfaction as she swallowed the last bite. Zak and Daniel soon finished after her, and Zak picked up all the plates and entered the kitchen just as a ding was heard. "Oh, that must be desert," Zak said as he walked into the kitchen. Daniel turned to the relaxing tigress and said, "Have you ever had a molten lava cake?" Tori shook her head. "Just wait. They're amazing. It's a chocolate cake, shaped like a volcano, with hot melted chocolate inside and topped with vanilla ice cream," he said. Tori's mouth began to water again. She had never had such a delicious sounding thing. She hadn't had much chocolate, actually. When she still had a job, she made barely enough money to feed herself; chocolate was a luxury.

But when she saw the cakes on the plates Zak was carrying, she almost cried. She could smell the aroma from them, and that coupled with the sight created a sensation completely new to her. The plate was put in front of her, and she wasted no time. She began eating, slowly, making sure to relish the taste. It was so good! Good enough, in fact, to resurrect a long-lost feeling: happiness. For the first time in a year, she felt truly happy, and smiled for a reason other to thank those who gave her change when she begged. This alone brought a tear to her eye. It rolled down and landed on the side of her plate as a smile grew on Tori's face. She finished the cake, still smiling, and said, "Thank you, both of you. You took me in, gave me a great meal, and a bed to sleep in. I, I just don't know what to say." "Hey, it was no problem," Daniel said. "Yeah, we're more than happy to have you hear," added Zak, as he began to take the plates into the kitchen.

After dinner was cleaned up, Zak took Tori on a tour around the house. He showed her the many game rooms, the office, bathrooms, and lastly the bedrooms. "This is Master's room," Zak said as they entered a large room. It was a nice blue color, and it had a large king-sized bed on the farther wall. It had a large T.V. hanging on the wall, and green drapes over the windows. The dressers looked like they were mahogany also, but Zak had said earlier that none of the wood in the house was actual mahogany; it was just finished to look like it. "How can he afford all of this," Tori said, admiring the room. "He's the head of a large company. It's pretty nice. Means I don't have to work," He said with a grin. They left the room to go into another, slightly smaller room. "This is my room. Well, it's our room now. Master wants you to sleep in here until he can get your room ready," said the wolf. "It's a pretty nice room; it's even got a personal bathroom." Zak pointed to a door on the left. Tori explored the room. It had a large bed in a corner, and another large T.V. on the wall. There were some wooden dressers on the wall, and some pictures, mostly about space, hanging above them. The room itself was an appeasing green color, and the bed was blue, so it was nice and easy on the eyes. She walked over to the bed and sat down. Right as her butt hit the bed, Daniel walked in. "Alright, I'm going to bed. Goodnight," he said, kissing Zak on the muzzle, and giving Tori a hug. He walked out, quietly closing the door behind him. "We should probably get to sleep too," Zak said.

The two brushed their teeth and slipped into pajamas, Tori borrowing some of Zak's. It felt good to be in some cloths that weren't tattered. They slipped into the bed, and Zak turned off the light. He rolled over and faced Tori. "So, how do you like it here," he asked. "I like it a lot. Thanks," she replied, hugging Zak. He hugged her back and said, "That's good to hear. I'm so glad we found you. I missed you." Tori pressed her head against his fur, and began to cry. "Shhh, it's okay now. You're safe," Zak said in a kind, loving tone. He hugged her tighter, and they both fell asleep in under five minutes.

Tori had suffered constant nightmares while she was on the streets, but that night, she had a sweet dream, about Zak and his master. The dream didn't really have a plot, but instead just showed happiness. And chocolate lava cake.

She woke up late in the morning and found that she wasn't still being held by the wolf. She yawned and curled her tongue before sitting up. She ran her paws over the sheets, just to make sure she still wasn't dreaming. It was real. With a sigh of relief, she got up and went to find Zak.

She found him in the kitchen, fixing scrambled eggs. "Morning," he said. "Good morning," she said. Indeed it was a good morning; it was her first one off the street in a year. "Master already left for work, so it's just you and me," he said as he fixed two plates of eggs. He took the plates over to a table at the end of the kitchen. Tori followed him, and sat down next to him. "Ya know, I never knew you were gay," she said, taking a bite of the eggs, still finding this food amazing. "Oh, I'm not gay. I'm bi. So is Master," he said as he put some salt on his eggs. "That means that you could be in for some fun." He giggled. Tori rolled her eyes and took another bite of the delicious eggs. She couldn't hold back anymore. Going slow allowed her to savor the taste, but she couldn't do it any longer. She started scarfing down the eggs as if they were about to be stolen from her. Zak watched in bewilderment. He had seen fast eaters, but this was just weird. It was like they were sucked down a black hole.

Tori noticed Zak staring at her and blushed. "I'm sorry. I couldn't help it." Zak just giggled again and kept eating his eggs. "So, if you don't mind me asking, what, um, prompted you to take me in," Tori asked as she went to put her plate in the sink. He swallowed a bite of eggs and responded, "You're my friend. I wasn't about to leave you out there, all alone. I care about you." He took another bite. Tori walked back over to him, holding her tail with her left paw. "Thanks," she said, sitting down. "So, what are we doing today?"

"Well, we need to get you some clothes, then I need to run down to the store to get some chocolate chips, and we need to stop at the bank." "Why the bank," Tori asked. Zak took one final bite of eggs before saying, "Master wants you to get signed into our emergency fund account. Just in case. After all, your part of the family now." He gestured towards Tori's collar. Tori smiled and started fiddling with the collar as Zak put his plate up. After rinsing off the dishes and putting them in the dish washer, Zak said, "Follow me. You can borrow some of my clothes for now."

Tori followed Zak up to his room, where he gave her a pair of jeans and a plain blue shirt. He slid in some jeans also, and put on a red shirt. "Oh, one more thing," he said, rummaging through a small chest on his dresser. "After the fire, I went to see if maybe something could have told me where you were. I could only find this locket." He handed a small gold locket over to Tori. When she saw it, she almost cried. It was a family heirloom, and inside it there was a picture of her mother. She slid the golden chain around her neck, a tear slipping down her face. That locket was now the only thing she owned, and she cherished it, even before the fire. She wore it every day, and only took it off to sleep. It brought warmth to her heart to just have it back on.

Zak smiled as he saw her reaction. He knew she would be happy to have it back. "Alright, let's get going. I'd rather not be out long," he said to the tigress, who was still staring at the picture inside the locket. Tori snapped out of her daze, and followed Zak outside, where she saw a nice red Lamborghini Diablo sitting in the driveway. Her muzzle fell agape. Zak noticed and said, "Yeah, it's a pretty nice car. Alright, hop in." He sat down in the driver's seat, and Tori sat in the passengers, and they flew off. Before they left, though, she caught a good look at the house. It was very nice, with marble steps and a fountain in the front. Two pillars appeared to hold up a stone overhang that stood above the front doors. The doors, like most of the wood in the house, had a nice mahogany finish, and in their centers, two stained glass windows allowed light through. The house looked like it was made out of some kind of white stone, though she had no idea what.

As the car rolled through the neighborhood, Tori noticed that all of the houses appeared to be owned by rather wealthy furs. Although, it was clear that Daniel was the richest. The car sped up once it was out of the neighborhood, making her jump. "Calm down," Zak said as the car got on the highway. "So, where are we going," Tori asked as she took in the sights. "Well, a new shop just opened down here, so I figured we'd get you clothes there. It's called Mesh. It's a pretty simple name, but it looks nice." Tori nodded and stared out her window. The car ride was short, but eventful, at least for Tori. The things she saw, she felt like she hadn't seen most of the sights in forever.

She was shocked when they finally got to Mesh. The place was huge, and had huge white star on the front of it. "Here we are, Mesh. I've never actually been inside, but I've heard it's nice," Zak said, shutting the car door. "Well, come on," he said as he took Tori's hand. He led her into the store. "Alright, go pick out some outfits. Don't overdo it though. I'm going to go and get some, uh, stuff. Meet me back here in about twenty minutes, okay?" "Okay," Tori shouted over her shoulder; she had already run off, much too eager to shop.

She ran through the store, picking out anything that caught her eye, from pink skirts to black panties, she wanted it all. She tried most of them on, but noticed that she needed to meet up with Zak; she had taken thirty more minutes than she was supposed to. She looked around one last time, then picked up a huge heap of clothes that she wanted. "Whoa! I said don't overdo it," Zak said when he saw what she was carrying. "I thought I did fine," Tori snickered. "Yeah, well... I'm never letting you shop alone again," He said. Tori set the clothes up onto the counter, where the cashier rang them up. "That'll be three hundred dollars," she said. Zak grumbled and handed her a small blue card. "Thank you." The cashier handed the card back. Zak slid it back into his leather wallet and picked up some of the clothes. Tori got the rest, and they both had a hard time seeing as they went back out to the car. "Put them behind the seats," Zak said as he put the pile behind his seat. Tori did the same before sitting down. Once Zak was settled in, they left.

"Where are we going now," Tori asked, slipping on a pair of her newly bought panties. "We've got to stop at the store." Zak saw her slip the panties on, and giggled, but mainly kept his eyes on the road. The trip to the store was short. Zak new just where to find the chips, and was in and out pretty fast. Tori remained in the car.

"Well, with that done, all that's left is to go to the bank," Zak said, sitting down. "Um, which bank," Tori asked nervously; she remembered the last time she tried to enter one. "The Federal Bank. Why?" Tori's eyes widened as she heard the name. "What's the matter," Zak asked as he noticed Tori's reaction to the name. "Just, bad experiences," she said shyly. She sighed and stared out her window. Zak didn't push the question, but decided to face the problem at the right time. He just had to keep his eyes on the road for now.

It was a short ways to the bank, and Tori remained nervous the whole way. Those guards could still be there, waiting to throw her back down and get a good laugh. When they finally arrived, she looked around for the guards. She found them standing at the top of the stairs, arms crossed, a stern look on their faces. Zak started up the stairs, but Tori was hesitant to follow. Zak noticed that she was staring at the two pandas. "Hey, c'mon, they'll let you in. You're with me, remember," he said, extending his paw. Tori was nervous, but she knew the wolf was right. "Okay," she said quietly. She took his paw and they began up the steps. She took it slow, and watched the pandas. They noticed her coming apparently; they began walking towards her. "Back again, little missy," one said. He grabbed her arm and prepared to toss her down. "Is there a problem, gentlemen," Zak said, stopping him from throwing Tori. "We're just taking care of a nuisance sir. The entrance is right up there." "That 'nuisance' is with me. We were just heading to the entrance, and its obvious location," Zak said. They looked at each other and laughed. "Well, that just means we have two problems to take care of," the other one said. They turned towards Zak and attempted to grab his arms. But Zak would not have that. Before they could touch him, he took their heads and smashed them against each other, knocking them unconscious. Tori watched the two pandas roll down the steps and said, "You really ought to take anger management classes." He shrugged and said, "They had it coming."

The inside of the bank was amazing. Its ceiling was painted, displaying an aerial view of the city. On either side were marble pillars, lined up all the way through the building. There were multiple cubicles, and a center desk, with three furs standing behind it. "Hello, can I help you today," one woman asked as they approached the desk. "Um, yes, I need to get her signed into an account," Zak said, pointing at Tori. "Ah. That is done right over there." She pointed at a row of doors. "Thanks." They walked over to a door as a fur walked out. "Hi," said a husky sitting behind a desk in the room. "How can I help you?" "We need to get her signed into an account," Zak said, pointing to Tori again. "Okay, please take a seat."

Tori let them do the business as she read a magazine. She stopped to sign a couple of things and read some paperwork, but she mainly kept to herself. At around three, they finished and left the building. Tori noticed that the two guards still had not regained consciousness, and were lying on the sidewalk getting weird looks from passing furs. She giggled and followed Zak out to the car. Sitting down she said, "So what now?" "Well, there's really nothing more to do, and Master won't be back for a few hours, so why don't we go take a walk through the park," he said, buckling his seatbelt. "That sounds nice," she said, doing the same with her seatbelt. Zak smiled and started the car. The ride to the park took about ten minutes due to traffic, but they still got there before Tori thought they would. They found a nice, shady place to park, and Zak killed the engine.

Tori stood up and took a look at the park. She could remember taking shelter under a tree when it rained, or begging here to anyone passing her. She could remember cold, sleepless nights, the harsh ground taking its toll on her body. She could remember her pain, her suffering. She began to cry. "Hey, shhh, it's okay," Zak said, giving her a big hug. It was obvious that he knew why she was crying. "Things are better. Enjoy the park for a change, and forget those memories you have of it." He knew that she couldn't ever forget, but if she tried, she might suppress them. Although, that couldn't be good either...

"O-Okay," she sniffled. He was right; things were better now. She started to walk into the park, tears occasionally rolling down her face. Zak held her paw as they slowly walked through the park. Tori eventually stopped crying, but she still felt the same. "Maybe we should come back some other time," Zak said, seeing Tori not getting better. She nodded, but stayed quiet.

They left and went home, only stopping to buy Tori some chocolate, which she gratefully took. She nibbled on it the way home, and threw away the wrapper inside. The rest of the day was pretty normal; Daniel came home around four, and they had some simple spaghetti for dinner. In fact, the whole week went the same. Tori would wake up at five due to Zak's alarm clock, do some chores, relax when she could, ate when the time came, and had fun with the houses many game systems. Zak would take her to the park every day, trying to get her comfortable with it, and he seemed to be doing a fine job. Life for her was amazing. She was having such a great time that she would forget the past for a while, until Zak took her to the park. Other than that though, that week was heaven.

Then Saturday came around. Tori had just finished playing a song on Guitar Hero, a new favorite of hers, and went looking for Zak. He had gone upstairs, so she decided that would be the most likely place he would be. She started looking in the various rooms, and found him in none. She eventually wandered to Daniel's bedroom, where she could hear voices from behind the closed door. She wasn't allowed to eavesdrop on anything, but she couldn't help it. "You should do it," she heard Daniel say. "Just make sure she's cool with it." "Yes sir. But, why don't you want to do it? I mean, I just figured that you would want to be the first one to," she could hear Zak talking now. "Because," Daniel spoke again, "You and her are close. I'm pretty sure that it would be much more special for both of you if you were first. Now go, talk to her." "Yes sir," Zak sounded happy. Tori could hear someone coming, so she rushed back downstairs.

"Hey, what's with you," Zak said as he entered the room. Tori was panting from her run down the stairs. "I, uh, played a really hard song," she said. "But you're on easy..." She rolled her eyes. "So? I'm a beginner. I have an excuse." "Whatever. Look, can we talk in my room?" "Sure," Tori said, putting down the controller. "So, what's up," she said, entering his room. "Tori, before the fire," Tori shuddered at that, "I liked you. Oh, I liked you so much. I was afraid to ask you on a date, even though Master encouraged me to." "He encouraged you," she said, a bit confused. "Yes, he's always wanted a female slave. But anyways, I liked you. So I have a question; do you, did you, like me?" Tori pondered the question for a second, or at least appeared to. She had liked him, a lot, but she was enjoying toying with him. Of course, after a while, it got boring for her, so she said, "Yes. I did. I do." Zak smiled a bit, barely blushing. Tori took the initiative and locked him in a deep kiss. Zak had no problem returning it.

They sat on the edge of the bed, kissing. Tori let Zak's tongue explore her mouth, and she explored his. They swirled around each other in endless bliss. Her tongue felt around his, and his did the same.

Zak pulled back, leaving a strand of saliva connecting their mouths. He brushed his paw down Tori's hair, staring into her eyes. "By god, you're beautiful," he said softly. Tori blushed and put a paw on the wolf's shoulder.

Zak laid Tori down on her back, holding her head in his paw. Zak slid off his underwear, and took Tori's off too. They were tossed onto the floor casually as Zak's fully exposed member rubbed up against Tori's already wet sex, eliciting a moan from both of them. "Are you okay with this," Zak asked, remembering his specific orders to do such. "Of course I am," Tori responded. She smiled up at him and pulled in for another kiss.

As they kissed, Zak pressed harder with his member, slowly sliding it into Tori. She moaned, but kept the kiss going. Zak allowed Tori to get used to his cock; at a good seven inches, it could take some getting used to. She seemed to handle it fine though. She was getting wetter by the second, so Zak started to move. He went slow, thrusting at a nice rhythm.

Tori moaned as Zak slid in. Her pussy was so warm and sensitive; she could feel all seven inches stuffing her hole. Zak pressed his hands on her breasts, getting yet another long, soft moan from the hot tigress. He pressed her nipple between his two fingers, barely squeezing. His was speeding up now, his whole seven inches coming almost completely out, and then sliding back in, not too hard. Every time he got to the hilt, Tori let out another moan.

Zak continued to grope her breasts, suckling on the nipple. Tori was clinging onto Zak's back, trying to refrain from pulling out her claws. This was the most amazing thing she had ever felt!

Zak was really speeding up now. He slid in with the same force as out, getting a moan from Tori, who seemed to be moaning constantly now.

Zak himself was having a great time. But for him, more was needed to finish the job. It was probably the same for Tori. So, he took his paw and slid it under her butt. "W-What are you doing," Tori drawled. Zak just kissed her again, and pressed a finger up against her tail hole. Tori squirmed for a second, but realized what he was doing. While she hadn't tried it before, she was open to it.

Zak slid one finger in, causing Tori to squirm more. He held her tighter in an attempt to calm her, and it almost worked. However, Tori couldn't hold her claws back any longer. They popped out and scratched Zak's back. Zak, who was still suckling on her nipple, bit down when he felt the claws scrape against his back. Tori tightened her muscles when Zak nipped her.

When Tori clamped down on Zak's cock, he couldn't hold back. He shot thick ropes of seed into Tori, as well as knotting her. Feeling this, Tori came herself.

They stayed like that for a while. "Well, we'll be here for a while," Zak said. "That's fine by me," Tori said with a grin. Zak stared into the tigresses green eyes, lost in them. "You're eyes are amazing," Zak said, yawning. "I love you," Tori said, also yawning. They hugged each other, and dozed off, Zak still knotted inside Tori.

Tori woke up to find Zak holding her. "Well, good morning," he said. "Good morning." She kissed him on the cheek. "Master wants you and him to go to the park today; I'm staying home to clean the place up." "Why are you talking about moving? I just woke up," Tori giggled. "It's eleven o'clock silly. We slept in," he said, running a paw down her hair. "Now you ought to get up and get dressed." She nodded and went over to the closet, where she chose a pair of plain jeans and a red shirt. She slipped them on, then headed downstairs, where she saw Daniel waiting on a chair to the right. "There you are," he said, hugging the still tired tigress. "I suppose you're hungry. I packed a picnic, thought we could eat at the park. Sound good to you?" She nodded and yawned. Daniel smiled and led her out to a silver Prius sitting in front of the house. Tori climbed in the passenger side, and as soon as her master was settled, they were off.

"So, did you two have fun last night," Daniel asked. "Yes sir. So much fun," Tori's voice trailed off. "That's good." When they got to the park, Daniel took the container that he had the food in and tucked it under his arm. "C'mon, I know a great spot," he said. Tori followed him, eager to get some food. She was able to walk in the park now, without feeling like she did when she was without a home. The walked over to a shady spot next to a pond.

They sat down, and Daniel pulled out a sandwich for her, and another for himself. "Here you go," he said, handing Tori the sandwich, which she gladly took. She took her time eating, enjoying the flavor of the meat. She didn't care about much other than the meat, actually.

When she was done, she walked out in the sun and laid down. Her life had really changed for the better. She smiled to herself. Just to think, only a year ago... Daniel walked up to her and said, "Let's go take a walk." He motioned towards a path that ran through the place. "That sounds great," she said, standing up.

They were walking for a short time, before they saw an otter sitting underneath a tree, crying. Next to him sat a sign. It read HOMELESS in big letters. Tori whispered something into the panther's ear. He only nodded. The otter was completely oblivious to any of this; he had his head tucked into his arm. Tori tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention. He looked up and saw the tigress with her paw extended. In it was a twenty dollar bill.
