Chapter Five
After being claimed by his new mate, Nathan and Alev get ready to spend the rest of their lives together
When I wake up, Alev’s arms are still wrapped snugly around me. While he sleeps I can finally get a good look at him, the different shades of pale yellow, orange, and black that make up his face.
He certainly isn’t what I expected, and I’m glad he’s not. When he took me, he was so caring, so gentle. But why? Humans were barely seen as people, the biggest right a human has is the ability to own property. But then again, when someone pretty much owns you do you really own anything? I want to get up, to work the stiffness from my limbs. But I’m no match for Alev’s hold. That means that if I want to get up, I’ll have to wake him up.
Looking up at my new “Husband” I reach my arm up and gently shake his shoulder. His face shifts a little as he wakes up. He opens his eyes, and his gaze immediately falls on me. He smiles that warm smile, as if he's realized that the dream he had, wasn’t a dream at all.
“Did you sleep well, Love?” he asks.
I can feel my cheeks heat up at the question. Why does he have to act so… charming.
“What time is it?” I ask, ignoring his question.
“About 11:45.”
“I want to take a shower.” I say.
“That’s a great idea,” he says.
He gets up, and takes me by the hand and leads me into the hallway. I guess having a mate meant I couldn’t do anything by myself. The bathroom at the end of the hallway was nothing special. There was a bathtub shower with glass panels instead of a curtain, a toilet, a sink, and a rack of fresh towels. He turns the water on, and uses his hand to find the right temperature. Steam starts to fill the air, catching the sickening smell of cum. Alev’s superior nose probably also gets overwhelmed, because he opens a small frosted glass window that overlooks the backyard. Fresh air cuts through the steam, giving me room to breathe.
He once again takes me by the hand and leads me into the shower. The water is hot; but not to the point that it burns. It relaxes the tension I’d been carrying all day -probably even longer- and I could feel myself finally relax… That was until I felt Alev’s massive paws against my shoulders. My muscles immediately constrict.
“You're okay, love. I’m not gonna try anything. Just relax.” he cooed.
He must have put something on his paws, because as he starts to massage my back and shoulders I can smell a faint hint of eucalyptus. His soft fingers worked all of the tension out of my body, cleaning me at the same time.
“I know this life is the last thing you wanted. But I just want you to know that I’ll be here for you in every way I can.” He says as he continues to clean my body.
“Most people just say I should be happy.” I grumble.
“I don’t see the point in that. We both know you’d rather not be here, but trust me when I say I love you, and will make your new life as comfortable as possible. I promise.”
‘I don’t get it. Why does he care about what I think? He’s the one that owns me, the one whose scent sticks to my skin. By all means of the word, I’m nothing but his property.’ I thought.
“I was thinking when we get dried off we could go into town to get some lunch.” said Alev, who’d now started soaping himself up.
“Sure... you’re the boss…” I say.
I’d barely muttered the last part, but his highly trained ears had no trouble picking it up. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me against his body in a hug. With his fur wetted down, I could feel almost every muscular line on his body, I could also feel his sheath pressing against my lower back.
“I’m not your boss. I’m your mate, and I love you. I’ll proudly say it until you believe me.”
After that, he gave me a kiss on the neck, and turned off the water. The fresh air from the window has now turned into an icy feeling chill. I don’t have to wait long before a large, fluffy, towel is draped over my shoulders. Alev ties his around his waist, like he does when he showers at school.
After drying his fur, he used a large brush to flatten his body fur, and a sort of comb to re-style his mane. It takes a while, and I’m left feeling glad that I have short hair. Not that I had a choice, but at least it’s easy to maintain.
Back in his room, I’d just gone to pick up my clothes when he stopped me with a gentle paw on my shoulder.
“Don’t. Now that you’re going to live with me, you don’t have to dress like a stray.” Alev said with a warm smile.
It was only when he was walking over to his closet that I realized that he’d ditched his towel. His well defined, orange furred, ass out for all the world to see. Despite my better judgement, I couldn’t help but let my eyes linger on his firm looking cheeks.
“It wasn’t hard to guess who you’d be going home with. So I went and bought you some new clothes. I didn’t know what styles you liked, so they’re a little plain. Plus I threw a couple things in there I wanted for you when you’re ready.”
That last part Alev said in a sultry tone. I could feel the blood rushing to my face as I tried to imagine what that meant. I didn’t have to think that hard, because I was soon by his side looking into the small drawer in his closet. There were solid colored shirts, jeans, sweaters, and (much to my displeasure) crop tops, and short shorts.
“I know they’re a bit revealing, but I think you’d look sexy in them.” Alev grinned.
“I’d rather not.” I said.
“That’s fine, Babe. Take all the time you need.”
Before turning away, he gave me a long, dog-like, kiss on my neck. I began to wonder if my face would ever be its natural shade ever again, or if it would be red for the rest of my life. Looking into the closet, I choose a dark green V-neck shirt, blue jeans, a red pair of boxer briefs, and a pair of white crew socks.
Stepping away from the closet, I turned to see Alev pulling a tight fighting white shirt over his head. The fabric hugged his frame, outlining every line of muscle on his body. He’d also changed into jeans and what I’d assume is another jockstrap judging from the lack of any other cuts of underwear in his closet.
“You look great,” he said.
“Uh… You too?” I said.
“Why thank you. I take pride in my appearance.” he grinned.
He makes a point to flex his muscles when he says that. I ignore it.
“So, I was thinking we could go out and get some food. It could be our first date as mates.” said Alev.
“Sure.” I say.
“Great, I was thinking we could go to this great little bistro not too far from here.”
“I don’t have a preference.” I say.
“Alright, let’s get going.” said Alev.
After putting my shoes on, I followed Alev back downstairs through the house. I notice there are several pictures of Alev with two older Arcanines.
“Do you still live with your parents?” I ask
“Yes. They’re at work, they’ll be home around 5 O’clock. They’re really excited to meet you.” he says.
Great. Just when I thought this day couldn’t get any worse, I have to meet my in-laws. I don’t know what in-laws were like, but television led me to think they would criticize everything I did because they wouldn’t think I’m good enough for their son. As if my sense of self worth needed that.
“Don’t worry, they’ll adore you,” he says.
It’s almost scary how accurately he sensed my thoughts. Maybe it was just a lucky guess. Anyone in my situation would think the same thing.
Once again I was loaded into his orange sports car. I bucked myself in before he could do it for me. It may have been petty, but that feeling of doing something myself made me feel more than just his toy. He didn’t say anything, just shut the door and climbed into the driver’s seat.
The drive to the bistro was quiet. Alev had tried to make small talk but stopped after I only gave him half-assed answers. So until we got to the restaurant we just sat in silence. I won’t lie, had I been in literally any other situation I would have felt bad because of the face he made. That was if he didn’t have sex with me against my will and take away what life I had to look forward to.
The restaurant was situated on a street corner that overlooked a park. Not the park I went to when I skipped school, this one had a creek running around it and a playground with little pokemorphs playing on a playground. Humans didn’t get a playground at the human shelter, we had to make do with a courtyard and whatever we could think of to keep ourselves fit. Calisthenics were a popular choice, as was running laps.
“Come on babe, let’s get a good table.” he said.
Once again, I got out before he could get around to open the door for me. He did take me by the hand and led me into the quaint little lunch spot. Stools lined the counter, tables were peppered around the dining room, and plush chairs were placed by the windows.
“Hello, welcome to Garden Bistro.” said a Ninetails waitress. “Would you like to sit at the counter, tables, or windows?”
“Me and my new mate would like a seat near the windows.” said Alev.
“Omg! Congratulations, you two look so cute together!” she gushed. “Not a bad choice for a mate, you two are so lucky to have each other.”
Not having the heart to take the wind out of her sails, I lean against Alev’s chest with a real looking smile on my face. Maybe it was overkill but I also motioned for Alev to lean down, then I planted a kiss on the side of his muzzle.
“So cute!” says the Ninetails.
Alev wraps one of his muscular arms around my shoulder as we’re led to a pair of plush seats in front of a picture window that has a view of the park across the street. A small vase of purple flowers in water sat in the middle of the table. Alev pulled the chair out for me, and I accepted seeing as the waitress was still here.
“While you two lovebirds find what you’d like I’ll go ahead and get you two some bread.” she says before turning and walking back to the kitchen.
“I love this new attitude you have?” says Alev.
My smile drops like a mask revealing my cold indifference. His smile disappears too, like he realized what just happened.
“Don’t get used to it. I only did all that because I didn’t want to be rude in front of everyone.” I say coldly.
“Oh, of course. I almost thought that kiss was real” he says.
He hides his face behind the menu but I can tell that hurt him deep down. As I start to think more, I realize that what I did was kind of a dick move. There was this feeling of guilt that planted itself in my chest. What did I have to be guilty about? I was the victim here, not him. I was the one forced into this life, had my life stripped away and given to someone else like a piece of property. But that damn feeling made me feel bad. As did seeing the once proud Arcanine hiding his face from me. Damn it, I had to do something.
*Sigh* “I’m sorry. Acting like that just now wasn’t cool, I know that now.” I say.
Alev looks over the menu with a faint curiosity.
‘Keep going.’ says a voice in my head.
“I don’t like this situation I was forced into. I don’t just blindly fall in love with whoever I’m stuck with, I’m not like that. However, I can tell that you feel differently. So I’ll stop acting like a dick and at least try to make the best of this situation with you.”
“You mean it?!” He says.
I can see the energy coming back to him. Damn it, what was I getting myself into? Oh well, in for a penny in for a pound.
“Yes. I’ll hold off on my judgement. Until then, I’ll try to make the best of this. We can do whatever you want to do and I’ll try to forget about last night.” I say
“Thank you! You won’t regret this, I promise.” he beams.
Before I know what's happening, Alev pulls me into a kiss. Strangely enough, I didn't pull back at first. I just gently tilted my head to the side. This went on for a few seconds before we separated.
“I’ve wanted to do that for so long.” he says.
“I guess it wasn’t that bad.” I said sheepishly.
He just smiled as his large tail wagged behind him in what I can only assume was happiness. I have to admit, it made me feel better to see him like this. However, it was also a double edged sword. The Arcanine species was a very strong and proud breed of pokemorph, and to see how easily I could turn him into a pitiful mess was kind of frightening. I truly had a noose around his heart, and if I wasn’t careful I would shatter his heart of steel as if it were made of glass.
