Short lemon story featuring the characters Char and Eva from ScytheRider's acclaimed "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Silver Resistance" fan-fiction novel.

Author's notes:

Ah, it's been a while, hasn't it? This here is a short Char x Eva story I wrote on a whim in an afternoon, after I was done reading ScytheRider's excellent "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Silver Resistance" fan-fiction novel. So, yes, it's a fanfic of a fanfic, heh! For reference, it probably fits best in between chapters 70 and 71 of the original story. Anyway, without further ado, I present to you:

Chapter 70.5: Treasured Memories

I am yours, my master.

A room.

One Ember.

Two tails.

The lavender-colored feline vixen rested contentedly against the smooth orange hide of the scaleless lizard. In silence. Indeed, there was no sound other than that of their breathing. A clawed hand stroked a furred back. Slowly. Methodically.

Command me, and I shall obey.

How did this come to be? When did it begin? What chain of causality made the threads of fate deliver such a temptingly submissive creature to his side? And... did it really matter? Perhaps... that was simply meant to be. Perhaps it was all part of the master plan that one human once conceived; a certain human who could no longer remember anything about it, for he was a human no more, but a small lizard with a tongue of fire on his tail.

Eva...

Yes, master?

We... we can't do this.

We can't do what?

The lizard sighed. He knew what kind of game Eva was playing. He just wasn't sure if... succumbing to that temptation would be the right thing to do. After all, although his body was that of a Pokémon, his soul was still very much human. And yet there was something about Eva. Something so... alluring. Captivating. Inviting.

Eva, I can sense it in your thoughts. I know what you're thinking about.

And what is that?

Char, the lizard, felt his Ember pooling strangely around his cheeks. Or was he just blushing? Eva simply smiled, seemingly enjoying this reaction of his. Perhaps she even found it adorable.

"Ah, Eva, what am I going to do with you?" Char muttered under his breath to himself.

"Whatever it is that you desire, my master," Eva whispered back to him as she gently rubbed her forehead on his side. "I would love nothing more than to please you in any way I can."

The cadence of her mindwaves was unmistakable. She knew what she wanted, and Char knew he was powerless to stop her. After all, deep, deep down, a part of him was... open to such forbidden thoughts. He knew all his barriers were doomed to fail. Any resistance he might think to put up would be ultimately futile. All because he wanted it too. He wanted the same thing Eva wanted.

Ah, nature could be so cruel sometimes!

I'm a human, Eva.

Perhaps your core is, but what surrounds it is one hundred percent Pokémon, Char. You should learn to enjoy that part of you to its fullest, and I'm here to help you through it.

Slowly, the lavender Psychic-type began to stroke the neck of her orange lizard partner with her soft, velvety tongue. He didn't stop her. He could have, but he didn't. His tiny clawed hands simply continued to caress the fur of her back, reveling in its soothing softness.

Does this please you, my master?

Char didn't answer. Instead, he simply sat back, his eyes closed, wondering if the Espeon was right... If surrendering himself to the base desires of his own Pokémon side truly was the correct thing to do. Eva simply continued licking the lizard's hide with long, careful strokes. She was very thorough in her work. It was her Char after all, and her Char would only have the best. Nothing else was acceptable.

Soon, Char found himself lying on his back, with an Espeon atop his form, lovingly licking his chest.

"Goodness, Eva... I guess there's no stopping you," he said in a whisper.

"Command me to stop and I shall," she cooed, looking at him through half-lidded eyes.

But Char did not stop her.

Soon enough, the sultry Espeon's slow downward path led her skilled tongue toward its inevitable destination. Char gasped quietly as he felt her lips closing around him. The final barrier had fallen, and he couldn't care less about it. Dialga, the Watchers, Giratina, the plan... None of that mattered anymore. As far as Char was concerned, the entire world had been reduced to just two Pokémon, a Charmander and an Espeon, allowing their inner wilds, as it were, to enjoy a moment of primal togetherness.

And so it was that Eva found herself panting on the ground, her cheeks flushed pink. Right above her form, a Charmander panted along with her. To and fro bobbed his fiery tail, casting dancing shadows on the walls of the room as the twosome lost themselves to the rhythmic cadence of their own intimate dance. Fused together they were, inevitably joined by the primordial laws of the flesh. Fur and hide, fire and mind, the warmth of two hearts beating together in holy communion.

And then, the explosion. It was Char's Ember. It must have been. Somehow, Eva could feel it in the liquid warmth flooding the innermost confines of her body. Like a glorious, blazing star filling her very being, it took her to heights never before explored or even dreamed of.

Quietness.

Silent, contented quietness.

For a few lingering moments, no words were exchanged. There simply existed none that could have expressed such completeness. But their smiles sufficed. And thus they stayed there, quietly, lying side by side on the ground, staring at the ceiling through half-lidded eyes in silence. Smiling.

Eventually, their eyes met.

You are smiling, my master.

So are you, my good Eva.

A tiny chuckle.

I'm just happy to be of service.

So her mind spoke, but Char knew she didn't do it just "to be of service." No, she did it because she wanted to. With all her being. She had wanted it so badly, he simply had no choice but to surrender himself to her. So, in the end... who was the "master" really? Ah, what does it matter? They both had just gotten their much needed relief, and that was all that truly mattered.

But once the bliss had faded, Char understood he could not take things further with Eva, or anyone else for that matter. Especially not when he would still not find the courage to reveal the heavy secret of the Call to her. It wouldn't be fair, he told himself.

"Erase it, Eva. This whole night, erase it all from my mind, please," he said.

Eva nodded, as if she had already known he was going to request that of her.

"As you wish," she simply said, her quiet voice betraying no emotion.

As the Espeon drew closer to Char, something about her demeanor stood out to him. He hadn't expected her to just comply without protest. Did she not care about it? Was she fine with making it as though their union never happened? Or maybe...

And that's when it struck him.

"We..." Char began, his eyes widening with realization. "We have done this before, haven't we?"

"That we have," she said, smiling.

"H-how many times did we--"

"Fourteen times, by my count," she replied, and then she added: "That's fourteen first times for you, my Char."

The Charmander was speechless. Eva chuckled again.

"I never tire of seeing you react this way," she said. "But yes. We've done this fourteen times already, and you always ask me to erase it from your memories every time. I don't mind, because it simply means you'll get to experience your 'first time' again in the future."

"Ah-- ah-I'm sorry, Eva," Char stammered. "I hate that I have to ask this of you, but--"

"No need to apologize, Char. I know you aren't ready yet. I can wait. I know a time will come when you're ready. Until then, I will treasure these memories for the both of us. It's my privilege, and my pleasure. So, don't be sorry."

"Are you sure?"

"I am sure. Now, then, close your eyes and relax. This will be just a moment..."

And so he did. Char closed his eyes just as he saw the gem in Eva's forehead beginning to glow. In only a few moments he would fall asleep, his memories of the night gone like a soap bubble in the desert. For the fourteenth time, in fact, if Eva was to be believed. Regardless, through it all, one truth remained constant, and would eternally remain so:

"The fire will never die, until the last ember fades."
