Chapter Sixteen
"Lies and Plots"
By
Furry Sith Lord
The doberman sat at his desk checking his email for any official communications from the company. A grey hedgehog approached carrying a thick binder held close to his chest. He wore a black suit and a red tie but he approached carefully as if to avoid making the dog mad.
"Sir, we have received a communique from our Contact Tracing department," The doberman stopped and looked at him angrily but said nothing as he continued. "Suspect 14C has broken radio silence and made contact with the deer. He divulged the plot of abduction for the two cubs in question." The doberman leaned back in his chair and it squeaked loudly.
"This complicates matters." the doberman replied as the hedgehog set the binder of the call's transcript on his desk.
"They plan on getting a certain bodyguard for hire to join them in infiltrating detainment cells AR and retrieving the White Fox." he said opening the binder to a certain page to allow the doberman to read the entry himself.
"Do they mention how they plan to find the detention area?" the doberman asked. Taking the binder and skimming the pages as he reads the conversation.
"According to the call on page 10, 14C is going to set up a meeting and ask to talk to the White Fox. It will be under the guise of getting the fox to introduce the cubs to the White Citadel. 14C will tell you it's a plan to trick the fox to tell him the location so he can feed it to you. But in reality he merely wants the detention area's location to pass on to the deer. He will have a hidden transmitter so the deer can follow his whereabouts."
"The deer said this all over the phone? I'm not buying it! He's a shrewd businessman so he must be used to competitors bugging his phones. He's probably trying to set us up and while we play into their hands thinking it's going one way then the trap springs from another." The doberman replied as the hedgehog stood by silently.
"How would you like to proceed?"
"Let me think about it. If I can come up with a way to turn this to our advantage then I can use it to help convince the White Fox to join us." The doberman hit a button and summoned the Fake Fox to his office.
"So what happens now?" Jon asked Lou as they sat in Lou's office. He had been determined to keep Jon as far away from the cubs as possible.
"As far as you're concerned we wait for them to respond. I'm playing this one close to my chest because I can't take any chances. Right now consider everything as being monitored so anything I divulge is a cover to hide what I'm really doing. I doubt they'll trust anything we reveal but they also can't take that chance.
"So you're gonna keep us in the dark?"
"For now, just in case I don't want them to know what I'm really planning." Lou responded.
"Later on this afternoon I'll call the doberman and arrange a meeting to go over everything we said on the phone."
"Good! Now I expect that he already knows what we discussed so expect him to try and throw a few curve balls your way considering how the plan is supposed to unfold. Now this is important make sure that no matter what you keep pushing him to allow you to speak to Leggo. Don't hesitate for a minute or he'll know we're on to him."
"I'll do my best." Jon replied. "My big question is that since Will is a decoy, why do we need him anyway? He's not really part of the team."
"Because we can trust he'll sell us out to the highest bidder! Leggo and him hated each other in school so the doberman will try to use that in his favor. The moment he comes sniffing around for more info then we'll know he's switched sides." Lou responded.
"What do I tell the imposture when they have me meet with him?"
"To stick close to you because Will will cut the power and help him escape. Will will fail but that's what I expect." Lou said and narrowed his eyes as he gazed at the labrador as if he could look inside him.
"I'll never see my nephews again, will I?" Jon asked, his ears drooping as he looked at his paws.
"Considering you planned to sell them to get a better job, I don't know how you can call them your nephews." Lou replied coolly but his eyes held the only signs of contempt as he stared at him.
"I know you don't believe me but it's not like that. Sure, they promised me the job but I did it more out of fear than anything."
"I'm sure." Lou replied but he never broke his gaze.
"Can I at least send them gifts over the holidays?"
"Let me guess, teddy bears filled with sleeping gas? Exploding basketballs? Robotic action figures that will tie up and cubnap them? Do you honestly think I'd trust anything you'd send?" Lou asked, his voice still holding his typical coolness. Jon unconsciously rubbed his paws together.
"I know we've never been friends and I know you really don't like me,"
"Not exactly true, I was your biggest supporter when we were trying to get the boys a tutor. If you will recall." Lou interrupted.
"But if I really didn't care, I never would have told you about all this! I really do care about them even if you don't believe me. It'll hurt not being able to see them again but I can trust that you and Leggo will keep them safe."
"That is one thing we can both agree on. I just wish Leggo could be more of an adult with them instead of being one of the boys. It feels like I'm looking after three sons sometimes."
"You know in school he was very shy and I must have been his only friend but when he met you everything changed. You seemed to flip his world upside down and the wolf that lived in the closet of society finally came out tail wagging." Jon said and Lou smiled to himself.
"I never knew soul mates could exist until I fell in love with him. He turned my world upside down in ways I never imagined. He saved me from being the monster I thought I was." Lou replied and this surprised Jon because the little he knew of Lou he always seemed in control. Jon wondered if he'd ever find a mate that changed his world the way Leggo and Lou had changed each other.
"So when are you gonna deliver the cubs to us?" The doberman asked Jon.
"Well we have a little bit of a problem with that," Jon started and tried to remain calm as he delivered the lines Lou had given him.
"Oh?" the doberman interrupted.
"My best friend has gone missing and his husband Lou won't let me take the cubs until he's sure that he's safe." Jon finished.
"If that's all you had to tell me then we could have said this over the phone. We didn't need to set up a private meeting." The doberman replied gravely.
"I know but I had a plan I wanted to talk to you about. It's been all over the news that you captured a white fox. It was said it had connections to a tower or something. I thought I could use the cubs to get that fox to tell us where his base is. Since I'm not an agent he'd never suspect I was working with you guys." Jon said hoping his acting was on par to get the doberman to follow his lead.
"It's a nice idea but haven't you heard? The White Fox has escaped. Some of his friends from the White Citadel put a tracking device on him and once we took him to a detainment center they knew where to strike in order to rescue him." The doberman replied, watching him very carefully.
"Wow you guys were outsmarted by the White Fox and his crew?!" Jon replied and made sure to drive the point in to get him so worked up he would get sloppy. The White Fox escaping was not what Lou and him had been expecting.
"Why would I send you in when you don't even have the cubs?" The doberman asked skeptically.
"Guess, it doesn't matter." Jon said glumly. He was not sure how to proceed now because this turn of events ruined the scenario Lou had created. "I was just wanting to stay busy while I wait for Leggo to return home."
"Let the professionals handle the interrogation of prisoners, I can't have an amature like you messing things up."
"Ouch, well if you're so professional then you don't need me anymore." Jon retorted.
"Pretty much. And if you can't deliver the cubs then the deal is off." The doberman replied.
"Then don't call us, we'll call you," Jon replied and started to walk away and he glared backward briefly to see the doberman watch him then turned his focus ahead of him as he thought about how he was going to explain this to Lou.
"Good luck trying to find work after I get through with settling matters." The doberman yelled at him. Jon stopped dead in his tracks and turned and stormed over to the dog shouting at him as he got close. Even though the doberman was taller than him he was not afraid to press himself up against the bigger dog and look up at him to show he was not either afraid of the bigger dog or that he was foolish to challenge him.
"Then I got nuthin' to lose so I'll tell everyone about how C.I.Z.A. is cubnapping cubs indiscriminately. Let you worry about the PR problem." Jon threatened but knew nothing would come of it. He was going to have to leave things up to Lou to figure out. The doberman stared at him.
"Coming from a cubophile teacher with thousands of pictures of cub porn on his computer," The doberman tried but Jon immediately started laughing.
"Good luck none of my computers are hooked up to the internet, I don't even have an internet connection so good luck trying to make that story stick." Jon wiped his eyes then continued walking away.
Jon suddenly jumped as he heard a loud bang and turned and saw the doberman holding a pistol with smoke coming out of the tip. He fell to the ground and tried backing up by walking like a crab
"I don't remember giving you permission to leave." The doberman shouted. With his free paw he reached into his ;pocket and removed a pair of cuffs and threw them at Jon.
"Make yourself useful and put those on because you're going for a ride." The doberman demanded and Jon looked at the cuffs and his paws were shaking as he reached for them.
"Do I take the shot?" Will said into a radio as his sniper rifle was fixed on the doberman.
"Negative! He's the only lead we have to The White Fox, if you take him out now we'll never be able to retrieve him." Lou warned.
"Copy." Will replied but he kept the sight on the doberman and stood ready to shoot if the dog pointed that gun in his paw at Jon. He wasn't gonna let his friend be killed by some jerk no matter who it was. Jon was always cool with him and he had a few friends like that.
He noticed that Jon picked up the paw cuffs and put one on his wrist then the doberman barked an order and the second cuff was put on with his paws behind his back. Will let out a sigh of relief as the dog put away the gun and hosted Jon to his feet. He took his prisoner to his car and placed him in the back seat. He used his scope to look under the car where an agent of his had crawled, unnoticed, under and placed a tracking device on it. The car drove off but the agent remained still and he passed over as the car drove off. Once the vehicle cleared where he was he turned and ran off to find cover hoping to not be seen.
"Will, do you have a visual?" Lou asked.
"Negative, the targets have left the area. Device is planted, repeat the device is planted."
"Copy that, keep me informed on their direction of travel." Lou replied and smugly sat in his office with a screen on his computer showing a car traveling on a map. He was glad that Will suggested one of his companions put the tracker on the car in case the doberman decided to search Jon.
The whole conversation between Jon and the doberman went unheard but he could only hope that Jon did his best to keep the ruse so that the doberman would think the plan was still on. What worried him was that the doberman arrested Jon because that was not part of the plan and while he expected some curve balls, like this, to be thrown his way, he hoped his plans hadn't been ruined.
"Where are you taking me?" Jon asked as he tried to stay upright in the backseat. The doberman was driving very fast and every turn was almost toppling him over.
"So who's asking? You or the guy on the other end of the wire you're wearing?" The doberman asked sternly. Jon tried to keep his face calm as Lou had told him but this proved that they had intercepted the conversation he and Lou had.
"I don't know what you are talking about." Jon said just how he and Lou had practiced it. The doberman had been sloppy the way Lou had suspected he would be not wanting to reveal they had eavesdropped on the conversation. Things may have gone differently if he was searched before being put into the car but that would be a dead giveaway. The doberman would try and keep his cover for as long as possible but inside the car he was able to reveal his plans.
"Don't you?" he responded skeptically. "We traced your phone call to the deer and how you told him everything. I was hoping that when I bugged your phone that I could trust you but now to learn you betrayed that trust. I'm very disappointed. Sadly no one will ever see or hear from you again."
"If you think I'm working with someone, then you know they'll be wondering why I'm missing."
"Not really, after all you're the one who tried to cubnap their sons. I doubt they'll even go looking for you. You'll be another fur that vanished off the face of the earth." The doberman retorted.
"What are you gonna do to me?" Jon asked, his voice held a hint of fear in it.
"I'm gonna get you a change of clothes then sell you as a slave. You can yell or even beg all you want but no one's gonna care who a slave is or was. Your only job now will be to please your new master. Sorry kid but you should have just done as you were told." The doberman said calmly and Jon laid on the seat helplessly hoping that Lou would come and save him. What the doberman said to him seemed to ring true that if they did sell him, would his friends help him or was he truly lost?
The car pulled into a large parking garage that looked to be several levels high. A guard at the entrance looked at the doberman and nodded, then pressed a button and gave an orange ticket to the doberman. He drove in and casually made his way to the top level.
Once he parked the doberman got out and left the frightened Labrador sitting helplessly in the back. Jon frantically tried to open the car doors but they were all locked on the inside. His car was escape proof it seemed! He went back to the back seat and sat there waiting until the doberman finally opened the back door and pulled him to sit upright.
Jon watched as the doberman put a red collar on his neck and closed it making a deafening click. The doberman then pressed his thumb against the clasp on the front.
"You will obey me and all of my subordinates." he said and the thumb was briefly removed then it was pressed to the clasp a second time.
The function of the collars is that when it is attached then the first person who presses their thumb to the clasp becomes the slave's owner. Each time the owner presses their thumb to the clasp they can give an order that the slave must obey no matter what and even if the slave tries to disobey, the collar will prevent them from doing so.
"Will will not speak under any circumstances." Jon felt his maw close and he knew he would nop longer be able to tell anyone anything. In essence the doberman had just rendered him mute.
He was taken out of the car and the doberman gripped his shoulder as he was led in the direction of an elevator. Inside the doberman used his badge on a scanner and he felt the elevator descend to a private area only agents have access to. When the elevator finally stopped the doors opened and Jon saw a White Fox standing there.
"Hello sir, is he the one?" The Fake Fox asked.
"Yes, I want him stripped and searched and do a full cavity search just in case. Once he's cleared get him in a loin cloth and deliver him to the slave guild in the center of town. Tell them this convicted cubophile has been sentenced to life as a slave. Oh and have them put him in a purple color. He's mute right now, so don't bother interrogating him. Just get him outta my sight quickly." The doberman walked away and Jon silently began to cry.
"Boy did you fuck up big time." The Fake Fox whispered to him and was led to the processing area.
Will stood at attention in front of Lou as he sat at his desk. He vaguely remembered seeing this tiger before when they were classmates. He was always trying to be a bully and his friends always thought joining the service was just what he needed to straighten him out. As he stood in front of Lou it made him wonder why Will had never joined.
"So he drove to this parking garage?" Lou asked calmly
"Affirmative, sir." Will replied.
"Are you military?" Lou asked.
"No sir, my company likes to keep it professional."
"I see. I printed you up a script. I added a phone number on top that I want you to call and read the scripted lines exactly. No ad libbing, no deviating from what I've written. This is important and I need you to sound as if you are not following a script so you are gonna run through ikt with m e before you make the actual call. Do you understand?" Lou said, handing him a page of dialog and Will read it over quickly.
"Affirmative. Then we mount a rescue of the civilian Jon Canis-L?" Will asked.
"Negative," Will suddenly gave him a stern look. "Listen soldier, we are dealing with the C.I.Z.A. and they are no pushovers. To rush in would be a suicide mission! Once you make that call they will see how important Jon is and keep him under observance to find out our plans. Plus I'm hoping they contact you to flip sides and betray me. Once you agree you will be our inside man and you'll find where they are keeping Jon and the real White Fox. Once you know that we can mount a proper rescue and save them." Lou stated.
"Understood. Just realize if anything happens to Jon," He stared at Lou with his eyes burning their golden yellowish color and his voice became a soft growl. "I'll hold you personally responsible." He then returned to his original position as Lou unconsciously tugged at his tie.
"Follow my instructions and I can assure you everything should work out."
"Yes sir!!" Will shouted.
Jon was taken out of a car and he felt nothing but shame as he wore nothing but a loin cloth. Everything inside him wanted to shout for help but his collar made it impossible thanks to the doberman. The only relief he had was that the cuffs were gone from his paws but that did nothing in helping him escape because the collar forced him to obey.
He was led to a large lizard that was smoking a cigarette by the Fake Fox. The lizard wore a white sleeveless shirt and a pair of jean shorts. The lizard eyed him up and down.
"What do we have here?" he asked.
"This cubophile was arrested and sentenced to life as a slave." The Fake Fox replied and Jon wished he could defend himself but no matter how much he wanted to, his maw remained sealed.
"Oh we have a special place for the likes of you!" the lizard replied, getting so close to Jon that he could feel the lizard's breath on his fur.
"Put him in a purple collar." The Fake Fox replied.
"We have a special one for the likes of him. Your stay with us will be far from pleasant my friend." The lizard spat at Jon and he felt the spit drip from his now closed eye down his cheek. The lizard called over another slave who brought a purple collar and handed it to his master.
The lizard opened Jon's red collar and Jon tried begging and pleading that he was being set up and the Fake Fox was lying but the lizard struck him across his face to silence him. The new collar was placed and the lizard pressed his thumb against the clasp.
"You will obey me." Was the first command. "Every five minutes you will receive an electric jolt to your knob to teach you about diddling little cubs, pervert." was the second command.
"How quickly do species like him sell?" The Fake Fox asked.
"Usually not long once the other slaves learn why he was sold. Even among slaves there are some things you just don't do and going after cubs is one of them. But that also depends on the current batch of slaves." The lizard grabbed Jon's loin cloth and pulled it so he could get a view of his penis and the lizard chuckled to himself. Suddenly Jon cried out in pain as he felt as if a cattle prod had zapped his penis. Nothing had touched him but the collar made him feel the pain.
"Don't have much to work with here so I doubt he'll be wanted. Did you like that? The whole time you're here you're gonna feel it. It's what you deserve." The lizard told the Fake Fox the first part then concluded by telling Jon his fate.
The Fake Fox laughed and walked back to his car. Jon was led away to be caged with the others. Systematically crying in pain as the collar continued to electrocute his private area. He was again crying as he hoped that someone was coming to save him...
