In the previous chapter, SnipeS had managed to infiltrate the base to find Kain and got captured, only to be allured with the offer of the villain called Nocturne to switch sides after the reveal of Kain's betrayal. Left with the revelation that Kain wants a new form of government that would suit a new and more ideal world for the both of them, he decided that working with Nocturne alongside his new lover would be the best course of action.

Nocturne was now currently at their home, with a blueprint of their new objective: the police station that Lt. Gabu and Chief Unnerve's main base of operations. If they were gonna strike the city of it's defenses, it would only be right to do so with the ones who defend it at the heart of the city, the police.

The police were commonly the first to respond to any threats, any other enforcement like soldiers, FBI, or even mercenaries would arrive at the scene much later if they were called upon, which was why police officers were just as important. They may not be the most powerful but they were everywhere and were the best that the city had to offer as the first line of defense of the city.

"Did you get all of that SnipeS?" Kain asked SnipeS.

SnipeS shook his head, daydreaming a bit, before looking at Kain again.

"Could you repeat that?" SnipeS requested, not exactly paying attention as he looked at the blueprints again.

"Like I said, we have the whole outside of the police station covered, it's full of vents that connect to other rooms that you could exploit in the future, the sewers lead to a manhole in the station's bathroom as a sneakier entrance. The front door would be a bad idea if you're gonna go for a stealthy approach, but in the future maybe we can make all officers in the station be forced to all leave if some chance several crimes occur at the same time in different areas of the city. Your objective will be to bug the office, mainly Lt. Gabu and Chief Unnerve's desks" Kain explained to SnipeS again on that day.

"Alright, that sounds easier than I think" Said SnipeS, looking at the plans once again.

"Hold up SnipeS, Kain told you everything about how to get in but not what to watch out for" Nocturne warned him.

"I was getting to that. While I can look out for any security cameras outside the exterior walls of the station with the city's cameras, I don't have any way to access or find any security measures the station has. You're good to go since Unnerve trusts you, but if we were to go there, we need to find out what defenses they have. Security cameras, laser detection, thumbprint scanners, we'll need to know everything we can to bypass any security devices that will hinder our goals. Not only do you need to bug the office, but you also need to take note of any security device that you come across in the rooms. So before you bug the office, make sure to check for any security cameras and other forms of security inside. Just don't let anyone catch you or make you look suspicious" Kain said, handing over two microchips that would be used to bug the station, and a new gadget to SnipeS.

"What's this thing?" SnipeS asked Kain, observing the gadget in his hand, it looked a bit like a gun.

"It's not a weapon, I can tell you that. It's a scanner, or should I say replicator. Just in case they ever use keycards to access restricted areas, I imagine it would be useful. If you manage to scan the keycard over with this, I can make you your own keycard the next time you visit, that way you don't have to force your way inside whatever doors you need to get in" Kain said, thinking this was a bad idea, but somehow he still trusted SnipeS with this.

"Alright, I can do that, and can I get a new earpiece? I left it when I flew from the airport" SnipeS said, feeling a bit guilty about losing such an important thing.

Kain smiled and gave him an earpiece, along with a new mask.

"Uh... I meant only an earpiece Kain, not a new mask" SnipeS said, confused by why he gave him a mask instead.

"Don't worry, this is an even better one. This new mask has all the functions your current mask has, but this one is even better. It acts not only as a communication device but lets me see what you see as well, so if you don't see a camera in your line of sight, I can be an extra set of eyes to look out for it" Kain explained to him.

He looked at the mask, this one had a sleeker and shinier design. It was almost like a domino mask, except it held a hidden truth. From the inside he can see circuitry and wafers of tech if he squinted hard enough.

The eye holes had a transparent glass covering it, protecting anything from entering his eyes, and in between them was a micro camera for Kain to see through what he would be in his line of sight.

"Wow... So you can see everything I can see from now on huh?" SnipeS asked him.

"Absolutely, I can see and hear everything you do, so you don't need to talk and give away your position while you're at it" Kain said, and started typing on his laptop and turned it around to face both SnipeS and Nocturne, showing SnipeS' face from below as he held it.

"Good work Kain, we need to put as least amount of suspicion on SnipeS as much as possible" Nocturne complimented Kain.

"You better get going now SnipeS, or the chief might just get here instead and ruin this opportunity, you need an excuse to be at the police station after all" Kain told SnipeS as he gave SnipeS a kiss on the cheek.

Realizing that Unnerve might truly be getting impatient, SnipeS blushed as he put the mask on and took the gadgets with him and left the room, leaving Kain and Nocturne to look at the screen and keep tabs on him while he goes away.

They saw that SnipeS had pulled over a taxi and started to head towards the station.

"Good, he's on his way" Kain said as he stared at the screen.

"Which means we have some time to enjoy ourselves~" Said Nocturne as he started touching Kain suggestively.

"C-Can't that wait?" Kain said as he started blushing, slowly growing hard from the sensual touches of Nocturne.

"It'll be a while before he gets there, we can at least entertain ourselves while we wait~" Nocturne smirked at him.

Kain gave in and then they wrapped their arms around each other and started to make out, their tongues meeting and french kissing with each other as their bulges rubbed up against one another.

Meanwhile, SnipeS later made it to the station and stepped out, looking up at the building knowing there would definitely be some restricted areas inside.

He then placed a finger on his earpiece to inform them of his arrival.

"Kain, Nocturne, I'm here" SnipeS told them, blushing as he realized they were having a bit of a busy time with each other as he could hear slurping and kissing sounds in the background noise of the earpiece.

Stopping their makeout session and hearing SnipeS clear his throat in the laptop, they stopped what they were doing and went back to the task at hand.

"Sorry love, we decided to get a bit frisky while you were away" Kain apologized.

"Well apologize later when I get back and join you two, maybe I'll forgive you then" SnipeS said while chuckling.

Nocturne chuckled as well, while Kain laughed nervously from the response.

"Barring any more interruptions, go start in the reception area" Nocturne ordered him.

SnipeS did as he was told and entered the police station.

The first thing he saw was a pokemorph giving some complaints to the officer they were talking to.

"But it's my damn car! Do something about it!" Yelled a citizen, angrily at the officer.

This civilian was a Feraligatr, angirly pounding at the desk as he lost his temper.

The officer they were yelling at was a flygon, Sergeant Fry.

"Calm down, when was your car stolen?"

"An hour ago"

"Do you remember your license plate number?"

"It is GATR727"

"What type of car is it?"

"A muscle car"

"What color is it?"

"Blue"

"Where was it stolen?"

"In front of the golden rod mall, in the parking lot at blue section row 18" Feraligatr said, with Fry surprised he even knew the exact parking space he was in.

"We'll send some police officers to find your car around the city" Sergeant informed the angry pokemorph.

"You better! That car is important to me!" The Feraligatr yelled one last time before leaving the reception area, going past SnipeS and ignoring him.

SnipeS shrugged off what happened and approached Sergeant Fry.

Sergeant Fry noticed him and stood up to greet him.

"It's been a long time SnipeS, and you don't need to tell me, I already know why you're in here" Sergeant Fry told him.

"Ah then I guess you already know where I'm heading then" SnipeS said as he started walking away.

"No, we still need to go through the normal protocols"

"Ugh, I was hoping you weren't going to say that. Alright, just make it quick"

"Alright, let me just take that belt and start patting you down..." Sergeant Fry said, as he unbuckled SnipeS' belt and set it on the table.

Sergeant Fry started patting him down, and as he did, he gave small gropes and pinches on his bulge, his chest, and ass as he did so, as they have been known to have had something in the past, winking briefly at him before he finished. SnipeS didn't pay any mind to it as had done this with him several times before, it was pretty normal to be patted down each time he came here.

Kain, though, saw all of this happening through SnipeS' mask, gritting his teeth as he glared at the flygon molesting his boyfriend on the screen.

Nocturne put a hand on his shoulder to calm him down.

"Soon, maybe you'll get your revenge on him when the time comes" Nocturne whispered to his ear, which Kain acknowledged and calmed down a bit.

"Can I personally punish him for this?" Kain asked Nocturne.

"It's your choice, if you wish" Nocturne smirked and patted his head.

Meanwhile, Sergeant Fry finished up on patting him around the body and let him go.

"Alright, you're going to have to leave that belt of yours with me, you always have something up your sleeve with that thing around you, and don't deny it, we know you can go invisible with that thing. We can't have you walking around the place unnoticed, we had enough of other officers taking snacks from the evidence area when they're supposed to be evidence in the first place. Now, shall I escort you to the chief's office?" Sergeant Fry said as he looked at him up and down.

"Don't worry, it's not like I'm hungry or anything, although my wanderlust is urging me to explore the rooms in this station, you don't mind me going alone by myself do you?" SnipeS asked him.

"No... But why are you still wearing your suit and mask? Aren't you supposed to always keep a low profile? Isn't that what you're all about?"

Thinking quickly, he tried to come up with an appropriate response.

"Well, I've been on a recent mission so it's best to stay in character. After all, going to the police station isn't anymore suspicious as going to the mall now is it? Besides, I have to keep up appearances, and I don't want to be vulnerable to any enemy I may come across" said SnipeS as he straightened his tie.

"... I suppose that's fine, it's not like I can arrest you for that. Just make sure you check in with the big boss before he gets mad at how long you're taking to come over to his office, he's been expecting you" said Fry as he walked back to his desk and started reading a book, but not before calling a dispatch for the missing vehicle earlier.

As SnipeS began exploring, he breathed a sigh of relief as he thankfully managed to hide the replicator device in his holdout pocket.

The first room he explored was the bathroom which was just behind Fry's desk.

SnipeS looked at the tiled room, there were about ten toilets, which was not surprising considering the number of police officers since this was the police station. There was indeed a security camera and questioned himself whether this was ethical or breaching the privacy of anybody who would use this facility before going back to the task at hand and looked around some more.

"Good work SnipeS, look for a drain hatch, try to see if it can be opened" Kain said through his earpiece.

"On it" said SnipeS as he looked around the floor and started to search every nook and cranny of the bathroom.

Eventually he found a drain right under the sinks and observed the metal hatch.

"Hmm... Looks heavy, better not tinker with it too much or else whoever is monitoring the place might be suspicious if I get caught" SnipeS said before looking closer.

The hatch was shaped like a sphere, like the ones you'd find in the middle of the street. SnipeS looked at what was keeping them shut tight.

"Alright, we got something here, some screws are keeping this tightly sealed, impossible to open from the underside" SnipeS informed Kain.

"We can find alternate routes, for now, leave before someone sees you crouching under the sink" Kain said as he sipped some coffee.

Taking Kain's advice, he left the bathroom and decided to take a look at the prison cells.

Entering a door through the left side of Fry's desk, he descended downstairs that led towards a long hall of prison cells.

"Long time no see SnipeS" said a police officer standing behind a counter, with a bulletproof glass window protecting him between whoever may escape, and a thick steel door that led to the room he was in. This officer was a swampert who was in charge of keeping an eye on the keys to different cells, along with letting anybody visit any inmates, he was currently eating a sandwich in his boredom and hunger.

"Hey Corporal Swamp, have any interesting events happening here lately?" SnipeS asked him.

"Nope, besides having corporal ghost spying on me through the cameras all day, its just been me, nothing new has been happening... Wait, there actually was one thing that happened, tragic too" said Corporal Swamp as he put his sandwich down, pointing at the camera in the very end of the hall of cells.

"Tragic? Like a sob story from an inmate or something?" SnipeS asked him, wondering what was up about anything being tragic in this place.

"Well, have you ever heard about the recent escape attempt?"

"No, but I am interested to hear about it"

"Well you see cell number 23? There's been an attempted escape attempt, bastard managed to make a do-it-yourself dynamite in his room and attempted to blast his way out of the prison to break the wall down and escape. Must be pretty desperate with how far he took things just to escape. Pretty stupid too since he thought using his pillow would protect him, the inmate is dead now but man he did a number on the whole cell. The metal sliding door is now broken and won't lock down, it'll take days to fix it. Can't say the same about the wall though. Good news? It's still intact. Bad news? Another dynamite can destroy that section of the wall with one more blast and give anybody who has any explosive a one way ticket to freedom if they get imprisoned there. I keep telling Chief Unnerve to get some guys to fix and reinforce the wall but he seems pretty adamant about not wasting resources on the wall and wait for the metal sliding door to be fixed. It would be pointless to fix the door if some schmuck so happens to know about this and decides to blow the wall open and leave it for anybody to get inside. This is ridiculous" said Corporal Swampy as he finished the sandwich.

"Interesting, I'll keep that in mind" SnipeS said as he put a hand on his chin.

"Huh? What do you mean? You're not gonna tell Unnerve about my complaints are you?"

"No uh... I was just wondering if I could use this information for a future mission"

"Well alright, you won't have to worry though, I'm sure the problem would be resolved when the wall gets fixed, if it gets fixed in the first place" Said Swampy before he pulled out his phone and started to play games on it.

"We will see about that, maybe he'll be smart in the future" SnipeS replied as he made his way to the hall and looked at the cells.

The cells were packed with prisoners who he ignored, and there in cell number 23, was the metal sliding door.

He held the door which slid with little to no friction thanks to the presumed blast of the dynamite, no sign of the prisoner that had been here previously, and a black stain where the dynamite should have blown the wall open was on the wall.

"Got all that Kain?" SnipeS asked through his earpiece.

"Yes, I marked the building on the map where we could blow a hole, maybe even cause a riot among the prisoners as a distraction, keep going, SnipeS" Kain ordered him.

Going back up to the main lobby, SnipeS walked past Fry once more to look at the next room.

This room was the evidence room, he saw many lockers that were locked and had four digit lock codes for each of them.

In the corner of the ceiling, was a security camera of course, but it seemed to have been broken, as some sparks came out of it.

"Hmm... Kain, what do you make of that security cam?" SnipeS asked Kain.

"If I'm gonna assume based on Fry's words earlier, that camera is not working. Which is why maybe the other cops were taking food related evidence from here. It's not working and you'd probably be safe here. But i wouldn't risk guessing the code in the lockers, they might contain useful stuff for us later but I'm gonna assume that this has some sort of failsafe. If you were to get a code wrong, an alarm might get triggered if you try to guess the code" Kain warned him.

"Broken camera good, guessing codes are bad, got it" said SnipeS as he quickly left, there was nothing he could do there anyway.

Passing by Fry and the elevator, he started ascending upstairs and began to explore higher on the building, and ended up in a long hallway that led to two opposite doors and a set of stairs that led further up. SnipeS decided to enter the closest room, which was the barracks and district offices.

Entering inside, SnipeS took a good look at the place. He was inside a room that had two doors, one for the barracks and one for the district office, he chose to enter the former.

The barracks were what you would expect of a gym's locker room or the military quarters, a bunch of burly pokemorphs asleep, dressing up, or even getting ready to take a shower. If he was lucky, he could spot a glance of some of the officers in more revealing clothing like tank tops, or those nearly nude enough to enter the showers.

Whistling to himself, he casually entered as he noticed the reason for the lax nature of the officers, they seemed... Exhausted. He looked at them further as they didn't mind, their thoughts were focused on other things it seemed, and based on their behavior, and the warm temperature in the air, he knew why.

He looked at one of them who was a poliwrath, one of the many police officers in the force, not high in rank, but mostly get deployed to handle cases that aren't too serious like threats and drug related crimes.

"Hey Chuck, is it always hot in here?" Said SnipeS as he pretended to look at the place randomly, spotting a camera just around the corner, veering itself as it looked around.

The poliwrath didn't respond too well despite being a water type.

"Yeah, air conditioning is busted, who knew that a certain someone would ruin it by attempting to open it using a thunderbolt" Chuck said as he glared at a Pikachu.

"Hey! That was an accident! How could I have known?" The Pikachu said, before leaving angrily to shower with the rest of the guys.

"So you shower to cool yourselves off?" SnipeS asked him.

"Yeah, though it's inconvenient when we're needed while half of us are in the middle of showering. Next thing you know, Chief Unnerve is yelling at us like we're back in the military academy all over again. You should join us in the showers sometime, it's fun when the guys are around, never hurts to shower with some of us if you know what I mean" Chuck winked at him.

"That's a shame, it must be a nightmare if you sleep while its hot out. Though I thank you for the offer but maybe I'll consider the offer next time" SnipeS said as he looked around, concluding that he didn't find anything useful.

"Nah it's fine, it's not bad at night actually. In fact, the night air is cold, so we don't have a problem at night. So what we do instead is that since we have a lot of trouble with the heat in the morning, at night we try to dress as loose as possible and keep the window open. That way it actually feels shivering cold, and it's the best kind of sleep you get when you endure a heated morning by spending the night relaxing with the cool breeze!" Chuck said as he gave a thumbs up to him.

"You leave it open at night huh? Interesting... I'll leave you to your endeavors then, maybe your air conditioning unit will be fixed by then" Said SnipeS, leaving the muscled Poliwrath in the room.

"So the window will be open until the air conditioner is fixed, I have to keep that in mind" Said Kain as he updated the 3d map on his laptop.

Entering the office this time, he looked to see officers on a table, with criminals and witnesses sitting in front of some of them, while some of them were lined up on a wall and answering 911 calls.

He spotted another camera in the ceiling, two of them which had no defects whatsoever. He looked at the windows as well but found they are locked.

Before concluding that there was nothing useful to find out here, he decided to talk to one of them, a loudred.

"Excuse me, can you tell me anything about your duties here?" SnipeS asked him.

"Hm? You a new recruit? Get in line, I'm still exhausted on my night shift" said the loudred angrily.

"Why is that?"

"Well that Chief Unnerve, I don't know why the hell he is so stingy, why can't he just accept the rookies here already, its just 911 phone calls! He thinks he's so smart, the morning 911 distress operators get swapped out from taking 911 phone calls to actually dealing with them at night! Same goes for the night shift guys, and we only get about 8 hours of sleep, not to mention the time it takes to get here, I'm not being paid enough for this!" The loudred who SnipeS didn't even know screamed.

"Uh... Yeah sure, I guess that's bad"

"Be sure to tell Unnerve that I quit! I haven't had a good wink of sleep since I got here, and unless I get a raise, I'm quitting!" Said the loudred as he slammed another phone call angrily, not having kept track of the conversation, but based on the faint sounds, it was a prank pizza call from some kids.

SnipeS backed away from the place and went back to the hall.

"Nothing interesting to find out there" SnipeS said as he began heading towards the other door at the end of the hall.

"Actually, you DID find out something useful" said Kain as SnipeS walked.

"What's that?"

"Well, if 911 operators are swapped out to take the place of 911 dispatchers, wouldn't that mean that they'd be tired?"

"Huh... And since some of them are losing sleep, you'd think that they would be less alert and sleepier than we would think"

"Looks like Nocturne's handiwork has Chief Unnerve too agitated to think about using his funds on the police station, he seems to be more focused on catching Nocturne more than ever. Little does he know, this will be his downfall" Kain said as he added more notes about the officers.

"That is strange, maybe he has a personal vendetta, and I'm not exaggerating this time" SnipeS said as he entered yet another door that led to an interview room.

Looking at the one way window glass, he spotted a vent that he could use.

"Alright, we can take a look and have a detour for a while" said SnipeS as he entered the other side of the interview room.

The interview room had a large table and two chairs, as expected of such a room, and of course a camera was inside that would spy on criminals being interrogated, but unless they had an alert security guard in the security room, they'd probably miss SnipeS anyway, and have no reason to suspect him until the attack on the station commences.

"Be careful SnipeS, I don't want you to get caught before anything even begins yet" Nocturne chimed in.

"Don't worry, they won't find out a thing, besides, we'll attack this place soon, plus Unnerve is devoting everything to find you rather than keep this place safe" SnipeS said before opening the vent's lid and climbing up the vent.

"I wonder which part of the third floor this would lead to..." SnipeS then got to the point of reaching the next room, opening the lid once more as he got out.

It turned out to be the armory, as he could see all kinds of weapons here. Police batons, armors, rifles, smoke grenades, shotguns, tasers, first aid kits, communication devices, EMPs, bombs, wiretaps, radars, night vision goggles, this seemed more like a weapons department if he thought about it.

"So this vent leads to an armory huh? Neat" SnipeS then went to the door that led to the hallway, but was stopped as the door had no handle.

"Weird, this door doesn't have a handle, no keypads too" SnipeS leaned in to look closer.

The door had none of what SnipeS had mentioned, but there was definitely power on it from what the glowing red light and slot emitted.

"You'll need the keycard, that's what you need to enter the security room and armory I bet. Scan chief Unnerve's keycard and we can have access to this room and it's equipment" said Kain.

"Can't we just get through the vent though, I can easily toss the weapons one by one down to the interview room" SnipeS suggested.

"We can't exactly do that, we may end up breaking them, or worse, triggering the weapons. Like, what if you seriously injure someone cause you tossed a pistol down the vent and it fired from the impact? Plus I'm sure the rifles, shotguns or batons wouldn't be able to fit through here" Kain told him.

"Right, I guess this vent is useless to us" SnipeS said as he started climbing down the vent once again.

"That could still be useful. If we approach a scenario where the armory is being protected, we can get the drop on them if we head through the vent, so if they decide to protect the armory, we'll have the element of surprise" Kain suggested once more.

"Ah, so if we distract them by entering through the doors, me or anybody else who are able to climb through can dispatch them more efficiently" SnipeS dropped back down to the interview room.

"Precisely, we have about two more rooms to go, you're doing great SnipeS" Kain encouraged him as he went upstairs.

On the third floor, he was in another hallway, and saw the armory door where he was on the other side earlier.

In the middle of the hallway was another door that said security room, and he peeked inside to see a security officer sleeping on the job.

"See Kain? Told ya they were sleeping" SnipeS teased.

"You have a point, but its not bad to not underestimate them, they could be awake for all we know, just make sure that we have the keycard, or else this guy would alert the smaller but numerous other stations nearby for reinforcements if we can't get there" Kain told him as he stopped.

Kain had almost everything mapped out, now he just needs to see the office and download the keycard's schematic through the scanner that SnipeS had, everything was now counting on SnipeS for this part.

"All that's left is the office, and the security room, I'll be staying silent from this point, we only have one chance to do this" Kain advised as SnipeS ignored the sleeping pokemorph in the locked room and approached the door to Unnerve's office.

The door opened to reveal Unnerve, his face was etched with a face of unmistakable impatience as he looked at SnipeS with a bit of annoyance.

"Took you long enough. Did you enjoy your own personal tour of my station? I guess the Illusionist's whereabouts and information can take a backburner to your tourism of my place. And I thought you were playing mind games when Corporal Fry told me you were here" said Unnerve as he entered the office once again, followed closely by SnipeS.

"Sorry, but I never took the time to get to know this place, I might as well have done so when I arrived here so I did just that" SnipeS said, eyeing the telephones on Lieutenant Gabu and Chief Unnerve's desks, which sat on opposite sides of each other.

Of course, Lieutenant Gabu was there, ever the loyal partner of Unnerve who was silent whenever he could be.

"I should have you arrested for breaching unauthorized access at this point... But that's not what you're here for. Now, take a seat" Unnerve pointed at the chairs and glass table in the middle of the room for SnipeS to sit in.

Sitting in one of them, he waited for Unnerve to sit down, now it was only a matter of how to distract them both.

He looked around some more and noticed there were more monitors near Unnerve's desk, realizing that Unnerve was more like a watchful Fearow over everyone and everything that happens in the station, meaning he had been keeping an eye on him ever since he entered. He probably saw him entering the vents too, which was why he was anticipating him just before he entered.

As soon as he sat, Gabu and Unnerve also sat down on the other chairs as Gabu took a laptop out to probably take notes on what they could learn.

"Well? What's the info you dug up on the Illusionist? I hope you didn't come here with disappointing information" said Unnerve as he looked at him with a serious expression.

"Ah but we don't have any coffee yet, you know that we can't have a proper conversation without it. I am your guest after all" SnipeS said as he started to think pouring coffee would be a good distraction considering that they were pretty nearby Unnerve's desk.

"Then let me get some" Unnerve began to stand up.

"No, I insist" SnipeS walked toward the coffee maker, much to Unnerve's annoyance and impatience.

SnipeS started to brew and pour some coffee cups, and as he did so, he planted the microchip on the side of the telephone, successfully bugging Unnerve's phone.

But there was still the matter of bugging Gabu's phone... Or more specifically, Gabu's handheld radio, just standing there on Gabu's desk. Good thing though that the coasters were placed near there, for what reason the coffee maker was placed away from the coasters, he could never know, but it was a godsend as he made his way over there to get them. Maybe because there was not enough space on the shelves on this side?

"If it wasn't you or Gabu, I'd tackle you right now and cuff you on me or Gabu's desk... But since you know where the coasters are, I'll trust you, but next time I might not be so forgiving" said Unnerve, his voice was seething a bit with rage for the Illusionist. No wonder this station is falling apart, he's too focused on the Illusionist.

"So getting back to the important details, what did you find out?" Unnerve said and took a sip of coffee.

"I'll skip on the unimportant details. I basically found one of the many hideouts of the Illusionist, and managed to rescue the pokemorph you saw a few days ago by avoiding some traps, lasers, and went through thick metal doors" SnipeS explained.

"So what did he know? He saw the illusionist in person right?" Unnerve asked him as Gabu continued writing, while SnipeS nodded, confirming their question was correct.

"This pokemorph saw the illusionist, but didn't know if what he saw was real when he was intoxicated. He saw him alright, but he's not sure if what he saw was a hallucination. However, he was positive that his mind couldn't make up such an image of someone he never saw before. This officer was also investigating for any signs of the Illusionist, he was successful, but was captured in the process.I luckily saved him while he was being interrogated on the very same night, and this is why he was afraid of him, he knew his face and identity, so he was forced into hiding. Which is why it's understandable that he doesn't want the protection of the police, because it would be one of the most obvious places to hide in, and hiding with me was basically the best way to stay hidden from the Illusionist" SnipeS finished his explanation, although all of the thing he said were lies.

"And how reliable is this information? For all we know, this pokemorph could be some fake that the Illusionist told to give false information, this might be a setup to get rid of all of us" Unnerve asked him.

"Well, do you have any other leads? This is the best information we've gotten in a while, and none of your searches have born fruit from what I could tell. No amount of random searching in the city will get you anywhere so I am safe to assume that this info is the best shot we got. I was informed by the police chief in that region that one of their best officers was dispatched into that area, and I was the perfect candidate for the job to blend in and unsuspectingly infiltrate the place and rescue them. So I'd say the information is indeed reliable at the very least" SnipeS said, telling another lie to Unnerve.

Unnerve seemed to have calmed down from that information.

"I see... I apologize then, please continue" Unnerve said, as if he just didn't doubt him earlier.

"The cinderace I rescued told me that the Illusionist, at least the one he assumed to be based on his changing form, revealed himself to actually be a zoroark. He managed to agitate him enough to reveal his true form, and came out unharmed when I rescued him" SnipeS explained even further, conjuring up more shocking lies.

Out of nowhere, Unnerve slammed his fists on the table, making the glass table crack a bit from where he slammed his fists on.

Gabu and SnipeS were shocked at this reaction, wondering why he was so mad about the species he just mentioned.

"I knew it! I knew it was a zoroark! The other chiefs didn't believe me... They're masters of illusions, they're not like dittos who can use abilities but can't be mistaken for the pokemorph they are copying when you see their face... Except..." Unnerve stopped, and then stayed silent as he was fuming with anger unlike SnipeS and Gabu had ever seen, like he harbored a personal vendetta with him, wondering what the Illusionist did to piss him off that hard.

Suddenly, Unnerve lost his temper and sucker punched SnipeS in the shoulder, making him bend over and kneel down on one knee on the floor to recover from the blow, shocking Gabu in the process of what Unnerve just did.

Nocturne and Kain, who were watching what unfolded, were just as surprised by what happened, although Nocturne then realized why he did it after a few seconds, but Kain reacted differently...

"Why that... Who the hell does he think he is!? He... How dare he hurt SnipeS! I oughtta... Let's attack him and threaten him next time he does this again!" Kain suggested furiously, clenching his fist and slamming his hands on the table angrily.

Nocturne put a hand on Kain's shoulder to calm him down, he needed Unnerve for a whole different reason he couldn't reveal yet, a personal reason at least.

"I know how you must feel with how he just attacked SnipeS, but there's a reason he did that" Nocturne tried to make Kain listen to reason.

"And what the hell kind of reason would that be? What kind of police officer randomly attacks someone out of anger? This is why nobody trusts the police!" Kain retorted, getting angrier and angrier.

"You know that I can change my form right? I look exactly like the one I'm copying, but there's a big flaw to that advantage" Nocturne informed him.

"Which is?" Kain asked, not knowing what this was leading to.

"Do not underestimate Unnerve because he knows the ability of my species. If I take any sort of damage, lethal or non-lethal in any way, I lose my form and return back to my original self, which is why my ability is better suited for stealth and deception. If I had been the one standing there instead of SnipeS, I would have changed back and trapped myself there. I think Unnerve was beginning to suspect that SnipeS might have been an imposter, or better yet, me" Nocturne explained to Kain.

"Is... Is that true? Is that why you sent SnipeS instead of going there yourself then? Or even one of your subordinates?" Kain asked him, wanting to confirm what he was thinking.

"I'll explain it when SnipeS comes back, we need to concentrate and observe what happens to him before I can clear things up" Nocturne said and turned back to the monitor.

Back with SnipeS, he began coughing and wheezing from the strong sucker punch, Unnerve was a dragon after all, and dragons were known for their incredible strength.

"I'm not going to apologize for what I did, but I needed to make sure you're not the Illusionist himself coming to infiltrate the very base of operations while masquerading as one of my trusted allies. The weakness of that fucking slutty zoroark is if they take even the slightest hint of damage, they get reduced back to their pathetic form" Unnerve finished as he raised an eyebrow at him sternly, his red eyes looking down on SnipeS.

"Tch... What kind of idiot would be bold enough to come waltzing down here and risk getting captured where the enemy would be then?" SnipeS asked him as he stood up and rubbed his shoulder.

"Because that's the least thing we would ever expect from the Illusionist, and I prefer to be one step ahead of him before he gets to me at all cost. I've been watching you explore the floor, and I know that you've never been one to explore whenever we interacted with each other... But I'll let that slide for now and assume you had a sense of wanderlust, but next time, next time I won't be as forgiving, especially when you broke into the armory. So I had to be suspicious of you when you acted this way" Unnerve explained, not a hint of being sorry was present on his face.

SnipeS gritted his teeth a bit before looking at him in an annoyed way.

"You're not in the wrong for thinking that, but that punch still hurt you know, you could have given me a weak punch if what you told me about their ability is true!" SnipeS said, feeling a twinge of pain erupt from his shoulder whenever he touched it.

"Deal with it. If I did and you turned out to be him, he could easily escape again, and I am not risking it" Unnerve sternly said, crossing his arms.

Gabu, hearing this exchange, didn't know about this information before, and wondered why Unnerve never told him about the species of the Illusionist all this time, but kept silent to concentrate on taking notes, including the information that Unnerve just blurted out.

Calming down, SnipeS stood up and proceeded to take his seat again.

"Ngh... Forgetting that you just sucker punched me out of a hunch, there are two more things that you need to know" SnipeS continued the conversation.

"And what, pray tell, are these things that we need to know?" Unnerve asked, raising an eyebrow once again, wondering what these things are that is so important to be told about.

"The cinderace officer... Let's call him Ace to keep his identity a secret. He thinks that the Illusionist is here in the city, and not coincidentally, he came here to silence him permanently" SnipeS revealed to them.

"... W-What?" Gabu said as he got shocked while Unnerve was growing worried, their only link and closest to an informant to them was in danger.

"How are you even sure about this information you're telling us?" Gabu asked SnipeS, recovering from the state that he was in.

"Ace is not entirely sure, but ever since he got here with me, he felt like he's being watched, I couldn't take my chances and have him hide somewhere obvious, they could disguise as any of the cops and there'd be too many to take track of to keep this station completely safe" SnipeS told them.

"Then what about your home? Surely that place could easily be compromised by anybody, the mailman, the landlord, or even Kain" Unnerve argued.

"Nonsense, if anything, Kain would know, right now he's working on ways to find out how to identify or dispel his illusions with his gadgets. If we're lucky, he'll be done in a few weeks, and if anybody starts watching us, we would be the first to know, so you don't need to worry about a thing" SnipeS said with conviction.

"... I doubt he's not wrong, but we also think he's just being paranoid, such claims without any proof are easily dismissable. I don't know why we even panicked" Unnerve said, while Gabu nodded in agreement.

"I'm just surprised none of you assumed that, last time he specifically told you guys that he's in hiding, shouldn't you have worried about that? I'm surprised you haven't heard anything similar like this" SnipeS asked them.

"That's not important, this is the first one with decent information and I doubt the Illusionist, with how cocky he is in leaving his signature card for us, he'd be too cocky to worry about one person providing any info on him" Unnerve said, although he looked a bit stressed out.

"I'm going to go off topic for a bit but please bear with me. Do you remember when we busted those 4 crime lords and all their lackeys?" Snipes asked the two officers.

"Yes, it was a big accomplishment, it took several prison transports to take them all. It was the biggest crime bust that the city has ever recorded. I'm glad we even had enough cells for all of them at the time, while the 4 crime lords had a special high security prison somewhere else just for each one of them" Unnerve recalled the last time that they had all 4 of the crime lords being sent somewhere else, a cell that was impossible to escape from.

Think about it, who else would benefit from it while at the same time the Illusionist began to make his name across the city. It would be no coincidence that the vehicles transporting the four high profile prisoners would suddenly get intercepted with the officers knocked out and all the prisoners missing" SnipeS said, remembering how four of the crime lords had escaped in the newspaper he read that day.

As SnipeS finished what he was telling them, Gabu accidentally fumbled with his laptop, nearly dropping it on the floor as he grabbed it frantically, nearly breaking it.

"Are you alright Gabu?" Unnerve asked him as he looked at the distressed garchomp.

"I... I'm fine, there's nothing to worry about" Gabu said before going back up to his seat and laying the laptop on his lap again, keeping his eyes on the monitor to keep himself distracted.

Ignoring how Gabu lost his composure a few seconds ago, SnipeS and Unnerve got back to the topic at hand.

"Why did you not boost security when you were transporting them?" SnipeS asked him.

"We became too cocky, we never expected someone to break them out on the way. I really do not want to talk about that, right Gabu?" Unnerve said simply, and then looked at his partner in a gesture of agreement mixed with suspicion.

Gabu began to type something on his laptop and started to search on any whereabouts of the 4 crime lords, but so far, the only lead they have is a news article detailing their escape and the continued search for them. With no other info to go on, he showed the article to them.

4 Crime Lords Arrested And Freed On The Same Day

Walking over to the furious police chief, he placed a hand on his shoulder to calm him down.

"Don't worry, if we caught them once, we'll catch them again . It won't be too hard to find them again and we'll be prepared next time" SnipeS reassured him, but as he did, his other hand snuck down toward his pocket, successfully finding what resembled a keycard and pocketed it..

Unnerve slowly calmed down from his outrage, and then looked at SnipeS.

"Yes... We'll catch them again and make sure they won't escape, even if it costs my own life" Unnerve said as he sat back down, before SnipeS shortly joined the two of them again.

"This is all I got, and I have no other leads I can tell you other than the Illusionist is in the city and with the crime lords, if we find one or the other, we'll be led to the rest of them" SnipeS informed the two, hoping they'd be satisfied by this.

"Thank you for this info, this'll be a great help. We're still at square one but its good to know that we now have better chances of finding them" Gabu thanked SnipeS.

"You can leave now by taking the elevator. But don't get into any more mischief and shenanigans, I don't feel comfortable with you sneaking into the rooms like an intruder or thief" Unnerve told him with a bit of annoyance.

Chuckling, SnipeS gave a formal bow and left the room, but as soon as he did, he quickly walked back to the first floor and into the evidence room with the broken security camera.

"And your own poor choice of not maintaining your own facilities will be your downfall you fool~" SnipeS snickered as he scanned the keycard slowly.

Meanwhile with Gabu and Unnerve...

Unnerve went over to his table and slammed his fists into it, making all the objects on top of the desk jump up before landing back to the way they were before.

"To be outsmarted like this by those punks... It's a disgrace!" Unnerve yelled, gripping the edge of the desk and Gabu could swear he could faintly hear the wood starting to break.

"Calm down, like SnipeS said, they're hiding. That means they're not as confident in attacking or stealing anything anytime soon" Gabu tried to reassure him.

"Ugh... Whatever! Just read me their profiles again, there must be some lead we can get out of it!" Unnerve said without looking back at him.

Sighing, but glad that he had at least calmed down, Gabu opened the files they had on the profiles of the four crime lords.

Offenses: Theft, Coercion, Bribery, Money Laundering, Burglary, Fraud, Extortion, and Forgery

One of the four crime lords and newest member of the group. From what we were able to gather, he was promised riches beyond his wildest of dreams by the other four. Barely having any money growing up with his family and living in the desert, it was not hard to imagine that they were poor. After his family perished for unknown reasons, he had to defend himself. How he met the other crime lords is still unknown, but he seems to be the weakest of them all.

One of the four crime lords and the angriest of the group. In terms of physical strength, he seems to be the strongest and toughest looking of the four. He mainly joined the crime lords for his muscles and intimidation.

One of the four crime lords and most cunning of the group. Not the strongest but the trickiest of them, he had tricked many citizens for cash and tricked police into letting him go under a false identity. He has an explosive personality and is able to lie his way through almost everything, if he could, he might even convince a bullet to turn it's way back around into a gun. His family has a criminal history for being swindlers, while the rest of the relatives are currently unknown. He joined the crime lords as the strategist to show off.

As the fourth and last report was about to be read, Gabu stopped, hesitating to read the last one.

"What's wrong Gabu? Didn't I tell you to read ALL of them?" Unnerve said, looking at Gabu with skepticism in his eyes.

"N-Nothing... I just... Need to catch my breath..." Gabu said as he took a moment and looked at the profile once more.

Getting an idea of what was going through his head, he realized what he was thinking about.

"It's him isn't it? That traitor? The guy you shared a room with when you two were still training at the academy?" Unnerve asked him.

Gabu didn't look at Unnerve, or respond to the question, and instead read the file to him.

Offenses: Assault, Accessory, Kidnapping, Solicitation, Stalking, and Theft

One of the four crime lords and the leader of the group. He knows how to control the situation in the midst of chaos, and knows how to act efficiently under pressure. Comes from a regular family and had aspirations to be a police officer. Not much is known about what had happened, but things turned for the worst and those qualities have been turned against the police as he decided that a life of crime was better. Several police officers were coerced to be in the criminal gang, and gained similar beliefs with him as well. Of the four of them, they see him as the leader of the whole gang.

"Do you know what happened when you two were at the academy?" Unnerve asked him as soon as he finished reading the report.

"... We just had different views of society... I think... He had this idea of justice to criminals, but the society we live in wouldn't appeal to his sense of justice" Gabu said as he and Unnerve shared an awkward silence.

"Do you know more about it?" Unnerve asked further, probing his partner about the former officer, who shook his head.

"I put all my feelings at the academy behind me, and I don't care anymore about Vern or my time with him at the academy. That... That guy is just another villain among other villains in my eyes" Gabu said, trying to make Unnerve lose all suspicion about what he really feels.

"Good, we don't need those lowlifes here, only the good will prevail. Every crime will be solved, every secret will be revealed, and every criminal will eventually be captured" Unnerve said, and then went back to his desk.
