"Lou-Who-Who-Sers"

"Hey, so when am I gonna see my nephews?" Mel asked as Leggo was monitoring the security cameras of the parking lot they worked security for.

"Anytime you want. You know you're welcome to come over. Why?" Leggo asked without looking at him. Leggo was surprised at how well he liked having Mel work with him. He had become like an unofficial little brother. He was slightly shorter than Leggo and they were both grey wolves but only Leggo knew who Mel really was.

Mel was originally Merrik a leader of C.I.Z.A.'s White Fur Division. When his husband Lou had captured all the C.I.Z.A. agents and sold them as slaves, he wanted to keep Merrik under his hoof and erased his memories and gave him a new identity. Leggo and the rest of the family wasn't too happy about it but at least as Mel, he was now happier with his new life than his old one.

"I dunno about that," Mel whined.

"Why do you say that?" Leggo asked as he finally turned away from the screens.

"Don't get me wrong I love Lyon, especially when we play pass together... but Tyger... he scares me." Mel said and lowered his voice as he spoke about Tyger as if he was afraid the cub could hear him.

"You have no reason to fear Tyger, he takes after my husband so he's a little stiff at times but he too loves you. Just get to know him and he'll open right up." Leggo said.

"I keep having nightmares of him shoving chocolate down my throat." Mel said as he looked down at his feet nervously.

"What?!" Leggo nervously chuckled. Truth was that Tyger did shove chocolate down his throat when he was Merrik and he was holding Tyger hostage. Much like his husband Lou, he was not a fur to mess with. "You know what I think? I think you've been watching too many horror movies." Leggo said, trying to dismiss his friend's fear. "I mean has he ever given you any chocolate at all to eat?"

"Well... No... I don't think so."

"You're a wolf dammit! Act like it and stop being a puppy!" Leggo ordered him.

"Yes sir,"

"So are you ready to end our little game now that you're going back to school?" Father asked me as he called me into his office. We would be returning to Bearly Academy in 2 weeks so we were starting to get everything ready.

I was starting to feel lonely because Ben's family asked him to return home for the remainder of the summer. Even though it was only a couple of weeks it felt like an eternity since we last saw each other.

"By my count I believe I'm leading 2 to 1." He continued and I glared at him as he mocked me, smiling like Merrik used to.

"You always were poor at arithmetic. Even if you can't count and you somehow think you are in the lead, only the judges can say for sure whom the winner is."

"Hold on, Lyon!!!" Father yelled and Lyon ran into the office as if his mane was on fire... well the little mane he had growing.

"Yes sir!"

"Lyon, who do you think has been the most outgoing species in our family?" Father asked him as he kept his voice soft so as not to upset him.

"That's easy Ben has." Lyon replied.

"No, not him, someone else." Father said.

"Oh, then definitely dad." Lyon said and father covered his eyes and sighed.

"Pick between father and me, little brother." I said.

"Oh... I plead the 8th."

"What?!" Father replied as he uncovered his eyes to stare at Lyon in confusion.

"I think he means the 5th." I responded.

"What makes you say that?" Father asked as he made a visible effort to remain calm. He knew Lyon was petrified of making him mad which was why father liked arguing with me because I would meet him on his level... and get grounded after doing it.

"I can't pick because you two are identical. Well, except you both look different."

"And who do you love more, me or father?" I asked slyly and I leaned close to him.

"I plead the 5th! I plead the 5th!!!" Lyon frantically shouted at us as he backed away in fear. I stepped over and took his head in my paws and kissed it tenderly.

"It's OK bro, I love you!" I said gently and I saw the look of anger on my father's face.

"Oh no you don't! I love him more." Father replied and he grabbed Lyon as he started shivering in fear as father tenderly kissed his head.

Dad entered and pulled Lyon away from us as he gave us a quick glare then bent down to check on Lyon.

"Why are you both tormenting my son?" He said trying to keep the edge out of his voice as father and I blushed and looked in different directions.

"Ask him." I said to father because technically dad was an official judge while Lyon was not.

"We want your opinion. Between Tyger and myself only whom do you think has shown greater growth in understanding and compassion and grown better as a fur?" Father asked.

"Is that the competition you two have been having and why you've both been driving everyone nuts?!" Dad said and now both father and I crossed our arms across our chests as we stared at him angrily. I can safely say we were both annoyed at everyone's reluctance to answer such a simple question.

"We can answer that because we honestly can't tell the difference. You two are like mirror images of each other." Dad explained and father and I both groaned.

"Ow," I said.

"No, no, please don't pull any punches. If you're going to kick us in the nuts you might as well go all out." Father replied. He leaned over a bit and saw Lyon hiding behind dad and then Lyon swallowed hard.

"Lyon, I'm proud to say, takes after me and I'm very proud of that and consider it the highest honor. Of course only you two would see it as a weakness. You two are both amazing and like they say: iron sharpens iron so you both make each other better. Together you both destroyed C.I.Z.A. and The White Citadel! How about before they go back to school you actually spend some quality time together instead of fighting?" Dad said and he grabbed Lyon's paw and dragged him out of the room as we stood there dumbfounded.

"This isn't over!" I stated.

"You bet it isn't! We'll just put it on... pause, until the semester is over." He said and I left his office.

"Leave me alone," Lyon hissed as he spoke to me in feline.

"I just have a question." I replied as we started talking in feline to each other. Since most species intermix the common language is usually the one everyone speaks. It's rare that our natural languages come out except for certain times when we are among our own species.

Lyon and I usually only speak feline when we are getting into an argument. That way we can keep our disagreements to ourselves.

"I'm not siding with anyone!"

"I'm not asking you to. But I do wanna know why you didn't pick me." I replied.

"Because of this, please don't make me pick between you two because I can't, I just can't." Lyon whined.

"Look, all we want to know is who has grown more as a fur. Not physically grown but emotionally grown. You guys keep saying how selfish we are and... we're trying to change that. We were just hoping you could rate us so we can see how we're doing. It has nothing to do with choosing one over the other." I lied... sort of. I mean it was true the whole thing was about a bet but the bet did center around who had emotionally grown more, or at least appeared to.

"Well... if you wanna whine about who kicked who in the balls, let me say that mine are pretty sore right now."

"What?!"

"If you had actually kicked me in the balls it would have hurt less than you lying to me. You must think I'm really stupid if you think for a second I'd believe that. Everyone knows you and father are in some kinda contest to see who's the winner. You're not tricking anyone!" Lyon said. I swallowed hard as I could barely look him in the eye.

"You're right, I lied and I feel terrible. Here," I replied and I spread my legs apart as I stood there. "Go ahead kick me, it's what I deserve!"

"Bro, I'm not gonna..."

"No, do it! I can't face you knowing what I've done. Please punish me so that I learn my lesson"

"You do deserve it but I could never..." Lyon started to say but just gave up as he walked away. Not before he bumped his shoulder against mine to give me a clear message of how he felt.

"So you won't forgive me?" I asked but Lyon continued walking away without responding. Now I feel even worse!

Uncle Jon arrived and brought us supply lists for what we need this semester. Most of it was basic and father also insisted on us getting some new school uniforms because we were beginning to outgrow the ones from last year. He also told us tales of the new teachers we would be having and how to avoid getting on their bad side.

Mel also joined us for some reason and after dinner dad managed to scoot him and Uncle Jon away to play cards. Father had plenty of time to complain as he helped us organize our stuff as we pared to pack for the semester.

"I hope it's not like last semester," Lyon grumbled to himself as he checked his list. He was still avoiding talking to me so I gave him some space so he could cool down then I'd try and apologize again. I really couldn't blame him but this had been the longest fight I could remember us having. I saw the way father was watching us and I knew that he knew Lyon was upset with me. He didn't press the issue but he merely watched us as if he was waiting to see how it would all play out.

"Have you heard anything from Ben?" Father asked as he tried breaking the uncomfortable silence.

"He called last night and told me he's miserable. He wishes he was still with us and hopes he can watch the games with Lyon when we get back to our room." I replied and tried leaving a little window open to see if Lyon might join the conversation.

"Well, I think I've had enough of this nonsense. If you can't settle matters on your own then I guess I must intervene. So, why are you two not speaking?" Father asked. He crossed his legs as he leaned slightly forward to watch us.

"It's my fault, I lied to him." I replied as I looked down at my feet.

"Why did you lie to him?" Father asked.

"I... I asked him why he didn't pick me when we asked him to choose which of us is better. I told him we were trying to see who was acting better because we were trying to better ourselves. He saw right through it and called me a liar and was mad that I'd lied to him." I blurted out.

"I see," Father replied. "Lyon, why are you mad at your brother?" Father asked him.

"Because he thinks I'm stupid! He thinks he can tell a lie as stupid as the one he did and that I'd fall for it." Lyon replied.

"Wait, are you mad that he lied or are you mad that you think he called you stupid?"

"Both, but more that he thinks I'm stupid."

"That's not true! I know how smart you are and I'd never call you stupid. I just didn't want you feeling like we were putting you in the middle of something and each of us was playing tug of war. I mean you could have picked father and I'd be OK with that. And you could have picked me and I'd... rub it in my father's face." I said as I tried to smile even though I felt miserable.

"Really?" Father looked at me and raised an eyebrow and I wrenched a smile at him. "It's OK you are my son after all and in fairness I would have rubbed it in your face also. The truth is that I am very jealous of you Lyon.

You take after your dad and he has a big heart, the biggest in the world! He thinks of others before himself while I tend to be more... selfish. I often push your brother because I don't want him to be like me. A selfish old deer that no one loves." Father said and I saw his gaze turn toward me. I wanted to bite my tongue as I realized the son of a bitch was turning this into an opportunity to score points.

"Truth be known father, I love you more than anything and it's your acceptance I seek. I feel I'll never live up to your example." I replied and raised my eyebrows quickly so he got the meaning that I was on to him and was going to turn this around on him. He stared at me trying to keep his composure.

"I love you too, father!" Lyon replied and he jumped forward and hugged him. I slowly stepped over to join the group hug as my father and I locked eyes while Lyon was unaware as he buried his face against his chest. He used his hoof to rub Lyon's back then kissed his head.

"Thank you, that means the world to me."

"Awww what a touching scene!" Mel jeered at us as he turned and saw him standing in the doorway. He quicked separated and Lyon and I blushed. Even though he was no longer Merrik he still freaked us out.

"Can I help you Mel?"

"Yeah, I'm looking for that old bird, we wanna know where the snacks are."

"Old bird?!" Father said indignantly.

"Yeah the maid that thinks me and Leggo are identical."

"Naw, dad isn't as big a jerk as you are." I replied and father patted my head.

"I love you too kitty cat." Mel replied and I wished father had put in rules that he wasn't supposed to act like an asshole. He was too much like his old self for my taste.

"Bae, why the long face? You know besides the fact that you are a deer and your face is naturally long." Leggo said as Lou walked into their bedroom and began to undress. Lou sighed as he pulled off his tie.

"Am I a monster?" Lou asked.

"No you're a deer."

"Stop it, I'm serious!" Lou said and Leggo lowered his head as he shook it and it was his turn to sigh deeply.

"I hate it when you act like this, you're not a monster and both Lyon and Tyger love you! Your only problem is that you're so fixated on being like your father that you keep pushing them away. Stop being like your father and you'd see how much they love you." Leggo said then he pulled his t-shirt off over his head. Lou used this as an opportunity to walk over and rest his head against the wolf's furry chest. He smelled like a dog but at least he was soft.

Leggo awkwardly undid his jeans and let them fall before kicking them off as his husband remained attached to him. Lou nestled himself and made grunting noises which sounded the same to Leggo that Lou made when he was thrusting his member inside of Leggo.

Leggo slid his head in between the regrown antlers and lightly rested his head. It was a simple act of dominance yet Leggo felt it as comforting in the same way Lou rested his head against his chest. It felt like an eternity before they separated so Leggo could undress his partner and they could make love.

Lou reached for the box they kept under the bed but Leggo gently grabbed his hoof.

"Not tonight," Leggo said. He subtly used the position he takes as dom during their lovemaking but he wanted tonight to be special. No games, no role playing, just pure ecstasy as they made love.

I sat on my bed and pulled on an old sweatshirt that had the Power Fur Rangers on it. I groaned at how constricked it felt and I pulled it off to get more comfortable. I liked that sweatshirt but it seemed I outgrew it. At least the grey sweatpants I had on still fit.

I grabbed the shirt and made my way to Lyon's room. His door was open and he had a white sleeveless t-shirt and navy blue sweat pants on. He didn't look at me as I stood in the doorway but I was sure he knew I was there. He sat in a chair typing on the computer on his desk. Knowing him he was either messaging Dash or looking up something to do with sports.

"Hey," I said softly but he seemed to be ignoring me. "Can we talk?" I asked and he turned to look at me but said nothing. I was feeling worse that he was still mad at me. I looked down at my feet waiting but he just turned away saying nothing.

"Lyon," I started.

"Don't! I don't want to hear it." he interrupted.

"You don't need to say anything and you definitely don't have to forgive me. But I do need to say it because I want you to know the truth." I said and he spun around from his desk and faced me.

"Go ahead," he said but his cold eyes pierced me deeply as he stared at me.

"You're right! Father and I have a bet where we each picked a judge to determine who outdid the other. Father said we had to keep it secret in order to not influence the judging. Father picked dad and I picked Ben,"

"Ben?!" Lyon asked surprised but not really like it was a bit of a shock but it didn't seem that much out of the ordinary.

"To be honest, the reason why I didn't pick you is that I thought it might be unfair to both father and me. You are so much like dad I feared you might just pick the same fur that he picks. "

"I... guess you're right." he grumbled.

"Really, it wasn't anything personal. So when father called you into his office it was because we wanted your opinion on how the two of us stood in the ranking. We're not done with the bet,"

"The bet?!" Lyon interrupted.

"Well... there is a bet involved. It was father's idea in order to... um sweeten the pot and give us both a reason to try and win." Lyon nodded so I knew he understood. "So I lied because I wanted to keep it secret per the rules and we were being honest when we said we didn't want you to get dragged into a tug of war but we wanted to see independently how the two of us stood.

Anyway you are right and the both of us have been assholes and it's clear that we've been so focussed on topping each other that we haven't proven anything other than we're both assholes. I realize that now and want to do better.

But I don't want things to keep going the way they are between us. I'll do anything to earn your forgiveness and I'm ready to work hard to do it. Contest aside you're the most important fur in my life and if I didn't have you then I would have died a long time ago because you've been everything to me to keep me going. So please... forgive me or tell me how I can make things better between us." I said.

"I forgive you," Lyon said softly

"And I love you, Lyon." I said He rushed over and hugged me.

"That's all I wanted to hear," he replied. I handed him my old shirt and he looked at it blankly.

"See if it fits you because I can't wear it anymore." I said and Lyon held up the shirt to his chest to check the size. He tried pulling it over his head then he stopped and removed it.

"Naw, I can already tell I'm gonna stretch it into oblivion. I may be smaller than you but I got more muscle mass." Lyon said disappointed.

"Really?!" I said then I grabbed his ear and as he cried I made him stand up and brought him close to me. "You may have more muscles but I'll always be your brother and you can't beat me." I joked and I hugged him and he took a second before returning it.

"Maybe Dash will like it." he mused and I chuckled.

"It's big enough that he can use them as PJs." I joked.

"Stop, he is not that small," Lyon said defending his best friend.

"I know, I know."

"Oh did you check your email?" Lyon asked.

"Huh? Not lately, why?" I asked.

"Phil sent us an email saying that because this is his senior year he's asking Ben to switch rooms with him. That way Ben would get an 'In' into our room and things won't change much when Phil graduates this year."

"But we don't get to be with him during his last year?" I whined as I thought about all the time we spent together.

"It was going to happen eventually at least this way we get to share a room with Ben.... if you two can keep your paws off each other. I mean I love you but the last thing I want is to be watching TV in the living room and I hear my brother and his BF screwing in their room." Lyon shook uncontrollably. "Nasty."

"Really?! You ever hear father and dad screw? I think we can be quiet but while we're on the topic, how about you? No partner of your own!" I said.

"I just haven't found anyone I like. If I'm gonnna fuck I want someone special like what father and dad have and what you and Ben have." Lyon stated.

"Or are you honestly staying single because the girls think Dash is an asshole?" I replied and Lyon blushed confirming what I thought.

"If I were to be dating he'd get in the way. I need to find him a girl so he stays outta my way."

"OK but don't let him ruin your happiness. A relationship like what I have with Ben, you don't know what you're missing." I replied and let the words linger before I returned to my room.
