Chapter 6 Memories Of The
I hate it when i upload my story and the foramt gets fucked up
Past "Oh, shit!" Damon said slamming on the breaks drifting off the road, remembering something.
"What is it?" Valiena asked confused and worried me at the same time.
"We have to go back to the safe house I need to take the guns off the car.
" "Why?" she asked, he cursed realizing he just messed up the surprise.
"Well, the reason is, I got two plane tickets to Jamaica. I was going to surprise you, me and my big mouth." He said; also glad to have the secret off his shoulders.
"How did you get tickets to Jamaica?" She sputtered, knowing that it cost a lot for plane ticket now a days, let alone two.
"I have been saving for a trip there for a long time." He said, turning off the road, driving toward the old house at Beatty. They could not go back to the house that he used to be at; it would be wired to tell the vigilantes when he returned. By the time he reached the old house it was one am, he had taken the long way and back roads he did not want to be spotted by any scout patrols, traffic was starting to get heavy at this time.
Getting out he grabbed a few wrenches, unbolting the weapons he put them in the car on the bed, covering them once they were all off. Valiena was looking around and stop when she saw a tarp in the back of the garage covering something; she walked over to it pulling the tarp off to reveal a motorcycle.
"Careful, that was my dad's bike. This was my first safe house; it had been abandoned for over a half year, this house that is. I was rarely here." Damon smiled as he gripped the cycles handle bars. The battery was long dead, it was gonna need a new one, but now wasn't the time, he walked off inside the house which puzzled her
. She looked over to her left and noticed the chainsaw, the one he had used in the fight; it had blood still caked on the blade from the last time it was used. She looked at it and thought this thing must have seen a lot of combat, some of the teeth on the chain were missing, pondering how many lives it must have took. But she shrugged it off walking into the house to find her mate, spotting him in a bed room looking at picture. "Who is that?" she asked as she looked at the picture of a bald man and Damon working on a truck, they were both smiling into the camera, he looked to be late fifties early sixties.
"Its Mark he was a very good friend of mine, he was..." he trailed off, she could see the sadness in his eyes, "He was the one I told you about that passed away." He finished saying. She felt sorry for him this was the first time she had ever seen him sad or upset; he must have really cared for that man. Damon picked up the picture frame, just as he picked it up an envelope fell to the ground. He bent down and picked it up; on the front it had something written it read 'to Damon'. Puzzled he opened the envelope and found a note in it and gasped shocked at whom it was from. It was from Mark, he said it aloud so Valiena would know.
From Mark Hello, old friend it has been a while since we last met. I want you to know I am not dead I had to fake my death; the vigilantes are up to something. I had to do this so they wouldn't go after me if they think I'm dead. I wish we could meet in person again, I am sorry that I upset you, but it was necessary to fool them. I have been watching you for a while and I must say you have a power and air of leadership that which no other person has. I see the way you carry your self, you carry a heavy burden which we all carry but your's is heaviest of all. You have seen things no one should have to ever see, and experienced things of unimaginable pain.
We will meet again, very soon but there is one thing you must do. You must remember, remember what happened before you became who you are now today. When the last word left his mouth every thing went quite for a few seconds before Valiena broke it.
"Remember, Remember what?" she asked clearly confused at what Mark meant He was also wondering what he meant, something deep with in his mind unlocked, he gasped and put his hand to his head as the memories can surging back. Memories he though the military had erased, he was strapped to an examination table in area 51 they were experimenting on him. He saw another person on the table next to him on a different table, shocked at who it was. It was Valiena! When the memories faded from his vision he was on his knees, Valiena next to him worried.
He stood up saying in a rattled tone "I remember now, they thought they could erase it," his hands were shaking from shock.
"Remember what, what are you talking about?" Valiena asked utterly confused, at what Damon was saying.
"Area 51, they captured me using me as an experiment, you were there too. I don't understand how, but I remember every thing they tried to erase from brain."
"Captured? Erased? Wha....," She trailed off remembering that day, she had tried to forget about it sealing deep within her mind, but she couldn't hold them back any longer. "I don't believe it, I didn't think it was real I though they were just bad dreams."
Damon clenched his fist in anger "I remember that slimly fuck, general McAlister he will pay what he did one day," Punching the wall, it gave way from the force of the punch. "I can only remember a small amount it will take some time for it to fully return."
"Why would they want us?"
"Secret weapon, brainwash us, have a chip implanted to control us and have us kill everyone in the war." Damon said dryly.
"And after the war what would they do with us?" Valiena asked, she had a feeling she wouldn't like the answer.
"Many things, they could use for breeding super soldiers, their own personal army of two have us in cryogenic stasis, o-" He was cut off as an Air Raid siren sounded from the town if Beatty. A loud explosion erupted from the town, followed by gunfire; that was not a good sign. Valiena's first thought was looks like the trip is canceled, she was really looking forward to it but it have to be another time.
