Kei has asked for his friend Haru to meet with him. But how will that go when he's hardly recognizable? With anxiety in his heart, he tries to move forward and meet his long time friend.

Chapter 2: Hitting the town

Kei had been faced with a problem as old as time, although in his case picking the right outfit wasn't to impress, but rather figure out what would actually fit. He had all the leisure during that shower of his to take inventory of those new shapes of his, and there was no way any of his shirts or T-shirts would fit properly. In the end, he had managed to put on a few things. A pair of pants in a soft fabric, the satin-like sensation never really worked out for him, but its light stretchiness made for the much rounder ass he now had a rather perfect fit, filling it up snugly to an almost dangerous degree… Although the length of it was all too long, it was nothing an improvised cuff hem wouldn't solve. His upper body was covered in a thick wool cream sweater, cable knit shapes on the chest part of it hardly hiding the fuller shapes beneath but… It at least managed to fit his smaller shoulders into it without having a ridiculously low neck. And to top it off, he added a little blazer he had kept from high-school, closing beneath his chest but not much further, to avoid having the sweater oddly dangling.

This would have to do.

Saying he was self conscious would be far from the truth. Barely stepping outside, Kei was wondering if people were looking at him wrong, as if he had done something he shouldn't have. Although the way his newly, flowing dark hair slapping him right in the face at the very mention of the word “wind" itself was enough to pull him out of one dark line of thought he didn't need to go down, and instead wonder how people with long hair managed to look stylish when they walked outside.

“Are they… Only walking upwind or something…?" He wondered, as a light smile drew itself on those soft full lips. Walking in the streets was nerve wracking, but so was the sight of his own reflection in various storefronts, showing him that despite his clothes being very much his own, they took a whole different, feminine aspect with this new body… Enough to have blood rush to his face, looking away from whatever this girl was… It wasn't him. Or at least, it wouldn't be for long. That much he was certain of.

When Kei reached the station, there was no sight of Haru. Then again he was around 10 minutes early, so he waited there with his thoughts… How was he going to tell Haru any of this. Once more those chains of worry took hold of him, latching around his heart, pushing thoughts into his head, visions of being left alone with the last person that could help him pushing him away, or being called lunatic for whatever story he'd tell. His heart was racing as anxiety was slowly nudging him towards a fully fledged panic attack… Until he noticed that blonde head of hair in the distance. The mere sight was enough to ease his mind for a few seconds. Even in High-School, Haru had to prove that hair color was natural so as to not be forced to have his hair dyed black. Kei wondered if their whole ancestry had to be dug up for what was something stupid in his eyes but… It did make Haru quite easy to notice, and quite popular among other reasons… These reasons being that, truly, he was the opposite of Kei. Better built, sociable, reaching a door-frame head-bumping height of 181cm and overall way too good at being the popular kid in school… Albeit, it didn't stop after High-School. In a way, Kei quite enjoyed it… After all, if all the attention was pulled to Haru, he could just stay in his shadow and not have to worry about socializing himself.

He raised his hand slowly as the taller -now much taller- boy walked up to him. His lips parted away, and before the sweet feminine tone of his voice even started to ring, Haru walked right past him… And with him, another gust of wind sent his long hair flowing the other way.

Of course, that made sense, why would he recognize him? Kei's hand moved back to his own chest, as if trying to cling onto his own heart, that terror making its way into it again… But he spun on his heels, calling out “Haru!"

Roughly an hour before, Haru had received Kei's text. Although nowhere near the station, he promised he could be there in an hour. All he had to do was to ditch the studying session he was about to go to, apologize to a few of his college friends and make his way through a few different metro lines and finish the rest of the way on foot. He knew the path, he had taken it before. It was soon after the message that he set out, picking up his black coat to cover a buttoned shirt closed almost to the top, showing some collarbone and a wide neck. A simple pair of jeans and black shoes finished the outfit. Walking to the first stations and taking train after train was soon showing to be all too slow, and after ruffling the rather messy head of blonde hair with his own large hand, darker strands beneath making his hair look like they were struck by the sun to turn this color, he eventually decided to do the whole rest of the trip on foot.

Although most people could have likened him to a train rushing through the streets, he wasn't pushing away people in his path. Dodging, swerving, walking at a brisk pace was what made most of his speed. For his body was well built, toned, but not overly so. He'd be there for his friend, and he wouldn't need to hurt anyone for that to happen.

Eventually, he reached the train station, one out of the way, near a terminus and thus less bustling with activity but… Kei was nowhere to be seen. His pace slowed down as he tried to breathe more deeply, walking the last few steps. There weren't that many people around, an old lady feeding the birds, some teens chatting on the stairs, and one cute girl on the sidewalk probably waiting for her date. He walked right past her, before turning his head towards the mention of his name… And with quite the bewildered look on his face, figured out it came from the girl's lips.

“I… Sorry do I know you?" He simply asked, his dark brown eyes staring down at the girl he turned to face. There was no animosity in his voice, only pure confusion from hearing his name spoken by someone he had never met before. A friend of a friend maybe? Or someone he had met before and forgotten…? That was bound to be quite the embarrassing story one day…

Does he know him? Of course he does! But it wasn't really Kei waiting for Haru. Despite him being right here, that boy was trapped in a dark-haired woman's body. The tight embrace of his fear was still firmly clinging on Kei's heart, slowly creeping up his throat, as it continued spewing out those sweet sounds of his new voice.

“I'm Kei-..." His voice collapsed in a strangled gasp, whatever terrified him making quick work of his words… and pushing some more out. “Keiko… I'm Kei's cousin." The man inside took a step back, the pressure all too much, eager to run, hide, and doing so in the easiest way possible… He lied, hiding within the costume fate brought to him.

“Keiko…? So, he said he needed help but, is it you that does? He didn't explain much." One of Haru's hands went onto his own hip, the other lightly scratching his head as he soon became the representation of confusion itself.

“I… I had to come over here because of family trouble and, well he went back to his parent's home to… Help out?" Keiko didn't seem all too sure of what she was saying, those brown and golden eyes staring up at Haru, before shifting away showed to the man two things… Kei and Keiko definitely looked alike enough to be family, and she even had the same way to dodge people's gaze.

“So… He sent me a message, took off on a plane I assume and now he left you there alone?" Haru knew Kei wasn't the type to let his family down, even if he was the type to very much complain about them but… That one was slightly far-fetched.

“Yeah… He said I could stay at his place, because the… Uh…" Keiko tilted her head to the side, looking away once more before figuring out her story and continuing “The airport lost my luggage! So… He left me his phone too… And… I had to come using his… Clothes…" The more she spoke, the less sure of herself she seemed, the sweet voice slowly dying down as her small but curvaceous body slowly started to crumble under its own weight, as if her arms tried to hide her own outfit and body.

“I… I get it, so he had to go and doesn't want to leave you alone even if he lends you his place… This is crazy." Haru was far from buying all of this, but it was rather obvious that this girl was in distress, and that Kei was not around. She even showed the phone to him as proof of it… While Kei wasn't the strongest guy, the possibility of her stealing all of this was unlikely. So the cousin angle seemed to work, with the light likeness and all backing it up… So for now, that would be enough for him.

The girl simply nodded in answer, her gaze now staring straight down to the ground until a large hand softly collected her chin, tilting her head back. In that moment, her eyes opened wide as she stared into the taller boy's eyes, leaning towards her a bit as he said. “So, Keiko… I can call you that right? Since you call me Haru." He added with a smile shining brighter than the sun, blinding the blushing and confused girl for a moment, her heart skipping a beat. She stepped back, and nodded once more once her chin was free.

“Then… I'll try my best and make your stay here nice." he added firmly, putting his hand back onto his hip with that wide smile of his still on his lips. “Touring the city comes first, and once you're used to the place you won't be so scared of it anymore… Right?" At least that was his assumption, and Kei… Well, Keiko simply went along with it. Right now, what she needed was to not be alone with her own thoughts. She took a long breath, shook her head a bit before slapping her own cheeks -to the surprise of Haru- and smiled up at him.

“Thanks! Let's go then!" She was obviously taking it upon herself to calm down, something Haru didn't miss, but he simply chuckled at her reaction and nodded, before leading the way to walk down into the streets of the city, showing her around the neighborhood of her “new" home.

Keiko didn't have to rush, as Haru walked to her pace, leading her to the convenience store she knew all too much, the few stores around this little part of the city she knew about, eventually even showing her the arcade Haru and Kei went to quite a few times before.

“This is where Kei usually kicks my ass at fighting games." He said as he pointed towards the arcade, getting a laugh out of Keiko in the process. To her, this was slowly but surely turning into one of their casual hangouts. Haru was just being Haru, and she could just… enjoy a little bit of that warmth, take advantage of that kindness despite not having much to offer back. She was thankful for it, that even with that flimsy story, he was fine with spending some time with her. And of course, since it all felt so natural, she mentioned that she too was quite good at fighting games and… Proceeded to kick Haru's ass at Truite Fighter.

“Yeah, exactly like that." Haru mentioned with a chuckle as they stepped back out.

“Sorry, sorry. I'm used to play against Kei online so… I guess I'm trained in Haru beating." She teased him, her calm completely restored by just having her- or rather Kei's best friend with her. Time and time again, Keiko had to remind herself that technically, he didn't know her.

“Heh, weird that I never heard of you from him then." He casually mentioned as they resumed walking.

“E-Eh…? Uh… It's just… Our family is a bit odd so… Maybe he didn't want to bother you." She explained away the issue, before stacking something else on top of it “So, do you want to go back to Kei's place? We can like… Chill and stuff. Since Kei isn't there." To her of course this was a simple offer Kei had done over and over, going back to that apartment, play video games, watch some dumb movies and order Pizza… To Haru, being invited by a girl on the premise that someone else wasn't there, to go back to her place to “chill" had a whole other meaning.

“Uh, you sure? I don't want to impose or anything…" He was wary of taking advantage of the situation. After all he was there to help her cheer up and not be alone it seemed but… She was able to choose what she wanted to do too. And, of course, those shapes of hers despite the covering clothes she wore were having quite an effect on Haru… Her face however was probably her most attractive feature but…

“Eh? Of course I'm sure. It'll be fun! And think of it as me thanking you." She answered quickly with a light bounce on her heels, leading her chest to jiggle quite a bit in the process, ending the existence of whatever wall Haru tried to put between them. She happily took the lead this time, walking in front as the inadvertent movement of her ass in its tight clothing, despite the rather manly walk, further numbed Haru's mind… While all she had on her mind was how happy she was she could spend a normal day after all. Maybe this wasn't so bad. Maybe she could make it work just like this, even at school or at work… The hope was slowly building up inside of her.

Thank you for reading! This second chapter is a bit less on the lewd side to set things up for what is to come. The idea to play around with a love triangle type story is definitely in my mind but it is hard to imagine people won't take it as NTR so, I'll see where it goes from here. Feel free to comment, leave suggestions if you have any, and hopefully you'll enjoy reading the next chapter very soon too!
