#22 of A Voluptuous Lizard's Adventures in Skyrim

Keema is thrown in jail, but can she prevent the forsworn from committing more bloodshed when she escapes with them?

Keema was dragged into the mines, and was made to wear prison garbs which barely fit her proportions, and as a result of all her confiscated equipment, the ring of Hircine was taken from her.

"Funny looking ring there..." A Markarth guard said as he held it up in the air and examining it.

"Maybe we can fetch it at a high price" Another guard said as they put Keema's belongings in an evidence chest.

Meanwhile, Keema was staring at a burly orc woman who seemed to be the warden, instructing her about the rules of the mine.

"Alright new blood, you're going to mine here, and you'll keep mining until you cough up silver bars until you earn your freedom. Got it?" The orc told her.

It wasn't really that clear, while simple, it was still not clear how much ore she should be mining in the first place.

"How do I know when I'll be free?" Keema asked her.

"You'll be free when you've dug up enough ores, now stop asking questions and get in" The orc said before yelling at the guards behind her "Now open up, and let this prisoner in!" The orc ordered the guards who opened the metal door..

"W-Wait! I'm innocent! I didn't kill Eltrys!" Keema said before she was pushed inside the mine.

"That's what they all say, new blood, now work!" The orc said before closing the door on her.

Turning around, she saw a mine full of people, and nervously walked further in.

The people were all men, and looked hungrily at her as she walked over near them, nervously grabbing a pickaxe as she bent over, before one of them clutched her ass hard.

"Well well well, what do we have here? What are you in for eh? Prostitution? Being a slut in public? Maybe even adultery~" The nord who had grabbed her ass said to her.

Keema wasn't going to let him have his way with her though, or the other men here, so she kicked him away.

The nord doubled down in pain, and the other prisoners closed in on her.

Keema put up her fists, and prepared to fight them off.

"We got a feisty one here boys!" The men said as they ganged up on her.

Keema managed to fight off a fair number of them, smacking their jaws hard enough for them to think twice about attacking again. However, their numbers were overwhelming, and soon Keema found herself getting tired. She never trained to fight off this many people with only her fists, and she was ill equipped at the very moment.

"Had enough? I think it's high time we fuck your brains out until you can't think about fighting back anymore" The others smirked as they approached the exhausted Keema.

Suddenly though, an orc who was bigger and buffer than any she had seen, ruthlessly grabbed one of them in the leg and started to swing him around like a living morning star, causing the nords to immediately back away and cower in fear of the fearsome orc.

"Shit! It's him! The forsworn's dog!" The nords yelled and ran for their lives, including the battered and beaten nord who weakly got up and limped away with his friends.

Keema looked at the orc, and breathed a sigh of relief as most of the prisoners who attempted to take advantage of her left.

"Thanks... I thought that I was gonna get beaten up there" Keema said, her hands on her knees.

The response from the orc wasn't what she thought it would be.

"Bah! You think I did this to save you? I was only doing it so people can get back in line. The forsworn own this mine, not these petty nords" The orc said as he went over to a metal door that lead to a tunnel, and leaned against the wall.

"That was... Unexpected..." Keema said before she chose to sit on a campfire next to a nord.

She recalled this nord sitting by the bonfire the whole time she was being attacked, and deemed him harmless enough to sit nearby as she warmed her hands to the fire.

"What are you in for new blood?" The nord said.

"Nothing, I'm innocent" Keema replied, although she didn't know what good it would do considering nobody would even trust a prisoner, not even another prisoner.

"And here I thought you were like Borkul the Beast, and you wouldn't want to talk to Borkul the Beast" The nord said.

"Borkul?" Keema asked, and looked at the orc.

"Yes, him. Big, even for an orc like him, I suggest you get out of his way, or get on his good graces, either way, it's none of my business. The others say he's the only one allowed to give entry to Madanach's chambers" The nord informed her.

Madanach? He really was here? Well that could be a solution for her, because of him she had become imprisoned and had her items confiscated. But he could also be her ticket out of here if that was the case.

"What about you? What were you in for?" Keema asked him.

"Uraccen's the name, in a way I'm just as 'innocent' as you. I was framed for murder, but the others, oh that was all me alright, can't let them take me without a fight" Uraccen said rather calmly, which disturbed Keema a bit.

"I see... Um... Will Borkul allow me to see Madanach?" Keema asked him, wondering if she could even get to him at this point, since she was severely outnumbered here, she doubted she could get away with doing any harm to him without anything here in the first place.

"That's up to him, though I doubt he'll let you just enter without a good reason, or a good bribe. My advice? Go get a shiv from Grisvar, down in the tunnel to the further right. Don't worry, all of the others there are forsworn, the nords tend to keep away from us, they know who not to mess with" Uraccen said as he continued to warm himself by the fire.

Taking his advice, Keema looked for the man and spoke to him.

"Are you Grisvar?" Keema asked him.

"Ah hello there, I haven't seen a woman for a long time. Were you imprisoned here as well? Well, I'm certainly not complaining, unless you want a good time that is" The perverted prisoner said.

Keema felt repulsed but ultimately thought to suppress her emotions.

"Uraccen said you can give me a shiv" Keema requested him.

The man stopped mining and looked at her.

"Hmmm... Yes, while I'd happily want your services, I'd something far more valuable. Go get me some skooma from Duach, and I'll happily fashion one for you. He's just a few steps away from me, he doesn't want to give it to me so you go ahead and use your charms or whatever to get it" Grisvar ordered her.

"... This is getting ridiculous" Keema said as she was sent yet again only to be ordered to get some skooma from some person behind her.

"Excuse me, but can I get some skooma?" Keema asked him.

"Getting the shakes huh? Here, old gods keep you" Duach said as he gave her a bottle of it.

Keema went over to Grisvar, who excitedly took it from her.

"There, I already have it, now keep your end of the bargain" Keema said as she put her hands on her hips.

"Yes, I suppose this'll do. Here's your shiv, you promise you won't use it on me, would you?" Grisvar asked her, before giving her a shiv.

"I can't promise that" Keema grabbed the shiv before going back to the main chamber, tucking it in the shorts she received to conceal her weapon.

Approaching Borkul the beast, she decided to talk to him.

"Borkul the beast right? May I go in and see Madanach?" Keema asked him.

"And why should I do that?" Borkul asked her, raising an eyebrow as his rugged, painted face glared at her.

"He's expecting me" Keema said.

"... Hmmm... I might consider it, if you get me a shiv" Borkul replied.

Damn it, she needed that shiv to defend herself, at least it was the best thing she could use. She didn't even know if she could trust Madanach considering how bloodthirsty the forsworn were.

"Why would you need one?" Keema asked him, not sure if she should be giving her only weapon to an orc who was part of the forsworn.

"It's not like I need one, but I might need it for some 'shaving' hahahaha" The orc laughed.

Keema felt a bit more calm with that joke at least, and gave the shiv to him.

"All right, head on in. But don't try anything in there. Madanach is smarter than you think" Borkul said as he unlocked the metal door.

Heading in, she was thinking about becoming a werewolf and slaughtering them, but thought that there might be more to this story, and decided she'd talk to Madanach first. If he tried to do anything that remotely seemed hostile, she'd rip him to shreds in her werewolf form if she needed to.

While she thought about it, she was surprised to see the ring of Hircine on her finger.

"What the..." Keema looked at the ring, swearing that the guards had it a few moments ago.

"Must be Hircine's work somehow..." Keema concluded, thinking it was a blessing in disguise.

The tunnel led to a room, and another pathway with a locked metal door. Entering the room, she was now in a bedroom, or the closest thing to a bedroom, with a table where a man was writing a letter... Letters to Nepos the Nose most probably, who was already dead.

"Are you Madanach?" Keema asked him.

"Well, well. Look at you. The Nords have turned you into an animal. A wild beast caged up and left to go mad. So, my fellow beast, what do you want? Answers about the Forsworn? Revenge for trying to have you killed?" Madanach asked her.

"I want my freedom, and I want to know why you're doing this!" Keema asked him, feeling rage boil inside her from the way he responded.

"Your freedom? Yes. But even if you were to escape Cidhna Mine, your name would still be stained with all that blood. Do you really think you can make it out of here alive and through all the city guards after killing me?" Madanach asked her.

He had a good point, and killing him would do her no good right now.

"But you have a lot to answer for" Keema retorted.

"Do I? And what about you? What right did you have to meddle in my affairs? Kill my people? Was it worth it? Your truth? You're one of us now, you see? A slave. The boot of the Nord stepping on your throat. Maybe if you understood that, I could help you get out of here" Madanach offered her.

Well... It's not like she had a choice here, so she accepted the offer... For now.

"Fine... But how would I even understand your cause? You're killing people!" Keema asked Madanach.

"There's a man named Braig inside these mines. Besides me, he's been here the longest. Tell him I sent you. Ask him why he's here. I want you to know how widespread the injustice of Markarth is. After you speak to him, you'll see just why we commit these murders, and you'll see us in a different light" Madanach ordered her.

So Keema went over to the man, directed by the other forsworn in the mines to him.

"Are you Braig? Madanach sent me to ask you why you're here" Keema asked him.

Braig looked at her and sighed.

"My story, huh? Everyone in Cidhna Mine has a tale. Let's hear yours first. When was the first time you felt chains around your wrists" Braig asked her.

Her story? She recounted what she could from her homeland.

"I was at blackmarsh, I was... Prophesied to be a destroyer of families and marriages, that I will ruin the reputation of my tribe one day. So the tribe decided to cage me, while my family protested to free me. And then my father, an orc, thinking that I'd be much better off in the hands of another tribe, and married off to it's argonian warlord. My father thought it would be a good idea, if I were his trophy wife I'd be protected and sought to my needs. But he didn't think about what I felt about it. So I yelled at him, told him that I'd rather die. He insisted on it, and was going to have the other tribes send me there. So... So I broke free to be an adventurer, and bring any sort of glory to my family. Maybe then if I show enough glory, they'll forget about the stupid prophecy that they made about me and accept me back... At least, that's what I hope would happen..." Keema confessed to him.

"I see, so you know what it's like for someone else to hold your life. Why should they get to decide? Isn't judgment for the gods? I had a daughter once. She'd be 23 this year. Married to some hot-headed silver worker or maybe on her own learning the herb trade. The Nords didn't care who was and who wasn't involved in the Forsworn Uprising. I had spoken to Madanach once, that was enough. But my little Aethra didn't want to see her papa leave her. She pleaded to the Jarl to take her instead. And after they made me watch as her head rolled off the block, they threw me in here anyway, to dig up their silver" Braig gave his backstory to her.

This shocked Keema, she didn't know that they experienced something with this much cruelty. Now she understood why the forsworn did what they did, but partially. The innocent people outside weren't supposed to be killed. But if she can blame it on anyone so far, it was Thonar right now.

"I'm sorry about what happened to you" Keema apologized to him.

"My daughter is the one who needs your pity. I'm just a poor Forsworn whose only regret is not killing more Nords before I was locked up" Braig said as he sobbed.

Leaving Braig to mourn, Keema went back to Madanach.

"I now understand why you're all doing this. I still don't abide by what you did, but I know if there's any punishment you need, it's not this one, not right now anyway. I don't abide by the means you do for revenge, but I will say that freeing someone, even one good person who didn't deserve it, is worth it just to free all of you" Keema concluded.

"Imagine hearing a story like that, over and over. Each time a different family. Each time a different injustice. Your meddling above ground reminded me of how removed I've been from the struggle. My men and I should be in the hills, fighting" Madanach said.

"So you'll help me and everyone else escape here?" Keema asked Madanach.

"Yes, but I need a show of loyalty from you. I don't need a shiv in the back while we break out. Have you met Grisvar the Unlucky? He's rightly named, and he's also a thief and a snitch. He's outlived his minor usefulness. Take care of him, and then we can leave Cidhna Mine for good" Madanach said.

"But... I can't do that, I can't kill someone without a good enough reason" Keema said.

"Motivation eh? Then why don't you ask the other forsworn what he really did to get locked up" Madanach said while giving her a shiv.

Keema didn't like this, but she decided to hear the reason for wanting to kill him so she decided to ask the others first before carrying out the task.

First was Borkul.

"Him? Yeah, heard he did 3 counts of rape, escaped a few times, he would have gotten a fourth if he hadn't gotten caught" Borkul told her.

Next was Uraccen.

"That wretched nord? I'm going to be honest to you, the only reason we kept him alive was because he made shivs. I wouldn't miss a wink of sleep if he died a horrible horrible death if you catch my meaning" Uraccen implied to her.

Lastly was Duach.

"There's a reason I don't give the skooma to him immediately, I want to see him suffer. Had there been a woman before you, he would have made moves on her by now, thankfully though we're here to keep him in check, although that's getting tiresome knowing he's had at least 3 counts of rape by now" Duach stated.

Knowing this info and how consistent the others were about him, she decided to do as Madanach asked and went over to Grisvar.

"Oh you've come back. What is it? Did you lose your shiv? Well too bad! I'm going to need a different form of payment, if you know what I mean" Grisvar said suggestively.

Without another word, Keema grabbed him by the hem of his tunic, and plunged the shiv in his gut.

Grisvar made a horrified face as he tried to speak.

"You... You promised m-me...!" He clutched his hand on one of her tits, before she kicked him away.

"That's what you get... Perverted rapist..." Keema spat on his corpse as the forsworn didn't pay any mind to Grisvar's death.

Keema reported back to Madanach and told her about Grisvar's death.

"You've finally become one of us. Come with me. I think it's time I announced my plans to you and your new brothers" Madanach said, before gathering the other forsworn in the bonfire.

Every last forsworn member was standing before Madanach, with the exception of Grisvar.

"What's going on Madanach? You wouldn't have killed Grisvar unless you were planning something" Uraccen said, wondering what all the commotion was.

"My brothers, we have been here long enough. It's time to leave Cidhna Mine and continue our fight against the Nords. Through this gate, just beside my quarters, is a tunnel. A tunnel that leads right through the old Dwarven ruins of Markarth, into the city. Well, what do you say, my brothers?" Madanach asked them.

All of the forsworn shouted and yelled the same thing at the same time.

"The Reach belongs to the Forsworn!" They cried out triumphantly.

"I say you've earned an early pardon. Let's go. Down in the tunnels is a gate that will lead us outside, but be careful, there could be things that can hinder us" Madanach said as he gave Keema the key.

"Well we'd best be careful then. Let's go" Keema said as she followed Madanach to the tunnel and unlocking the gate, followed by the other forsworn.

Keema and the forsworn fought through giant frostbite spiders and a few dwemer machines, with Keema transforming into a werewolf and taking them out occasionally, before finally making it to the end of the exit, where a forsworn agent was waiting for them.

"Madanach, I brought the things you asked for" The forsworn agent said as she carried a chest.

"Good work. Get ready while I have a word with our favorite outsider" Madanach said, taking the chest and placing it in front of Keema.

"I had Kaie recover all the things the Nords stole from you. You better get ready before we break out into the city. Time to turn the skies red" Madanach said as he opened the chest to reveal everything she owned.

"Wait... So what happens now?" Keema asked him.

"Now? I announce to all of Markarth that I have returned. Don't worry about your name. They'll know who to blame and fear after today. It'll take years, but I'll organize the Forsworn again. We'll reclaim our land, and then, when power is ours, we'll have peace. A kingdom. Until then, let me offer you a warning. Beware the Forsworn. No place in the Reach is safe from us now" Madanach said triumphantly, she could see the bloodthirst in his eyes.

"Wait wait! For once try to stand to reason and don't kill anyone unnecessarily! That's what Thonar wants the reachmen to do!" Keema tried to make the best of the worst possible outcome.

"And that's what we'll exactly give em. Only this time he'll be on the receiving end of the blade!" Madanach said.

"Look, I know you want revenge, but running out of here without bloodshed is the best thing you can do for now. Think about it, you're really gonna let the others die as soon as they escape?" Keema warned him.

"... At the cost of our freedom? Our beliefs?" Madanach asked her.

"I'm saying that you can one day reclaim the reach, just maybe not soaking the city in blood. You'll all have your chance one day, but not today" Keema argued with him.

"... I suppose you're correct for now. But if Thonar Silver-Blood doesn't let up, he's going to be the first to fall" Madanach proceeded to leave, along with the other forsworn.

Gearing up and taking the ragged clothes off, Keema was back and fully armored and armed to the teeth again, and walked out and into the city streets, only for Thonar to be there to greet them.

"You and your forsworn dogs aren't going anywhere Madanach. This is MY city, MY mine, none of you are getting out of here alive unless you go back to the mines" Thonar threatened them, with the entire city guard behind him.

"Stay your hand Thonar, I promised this friend of yours I wouldn't lay a hand on anyone, unless you want me to break that promise" Madanach said to him.

"Very well then, guards, put them to the sword and-" Thonar was about to arrest them when a familiar voice was heard.

"Hold it Thonar" Margret, who was now clad in imperial light armor, was behind the guards and Thonar, showed up with a detachment of imperial soldiers.

"You... What do you want, Imperial Agent?" Thonar asked her, although he was about ready to have the guards cut her down too.

"You just admitted to harboring forsworn in your mine, it would be a shame to report this to General Tullius and have your mine investigated for harboring forsworn natives, it would be a huge blow to your family coffers I assume" Margret said.

"You... Why you..." Thonar said as he wanted to kill her, but knew the repercussions of doing so in broad daylight.

"And if you ever touch these forsworn, then I'll have to personally take you to solitude and taken in for questioning. The forsworn are under imperial rule whether you like it or not, and are imperial citizens whether or not they are aware of it. Can you take responsibility for that?" Margret asked Thonar.

Thonar gritted his teeth before screaming.

"Damn you imperials! Fine! You better watch your back from now on, the Silver-Blood family's reach extends far beyond the reach! Remember that" Thonar said frustratingly before leaving, along with the guards.

Keema ran over to Margret to thank her for her help.

"Thank you for your help Margret, but how did you find out that Thonar was going to be here?" Keema asked her.

"It wasn't really all that difficult. When all the guards left their posts and gathered here, I immediately knew that something was coming up. After I failed to secure the deed to the mine, I contacted my friends at the imperial camp nearby, so you can imagine how that sounded fishy to them as well so here they are" Margret explained.

The forsworn however, weren't sticking around and ran past them.

"So... Does this mean that the forsworn are pardoned?" Keema asked her.

"No not exactly. They'll face their punishment one day, just not today. The forsworn are still trying to be peacefully integrated in the empire, provided they get rid of their daedric practices at least. General Tullius wants no bloodshed, but granted us permission to fight back if necessary" Margret explained.

I see... I think I've seen enough of this city for now. I don't want to be seen like a criminal even though I'm technically innocent in all this" Keema said.

"I see, well then dragonborn, tell us if you need anything, we'll be here for a bit before going back to report to General Tullius" Margret said.

"...! Wait... What... How did you know?" Keema asked her.

"Well word spreads fast, and there's not many argonians like you. A description of "Big Proprotioned Argonian Woman" isn't too hard to look for at least. You're actually the talk of the empire, and want you to join them. You're sort of a celebrity among the populace in a way. You should be proud of it, but do watch out for the thalmor, I heard they're looking for you, along some kind of khajiit assassin as well with a similar description like yours" Margret warned and praised her.

Keema couldn't believe what she was hearing, but she was glad that the khajiit had somehow gotten something bad happen to her in the process of her assassination.

"Well, I'll be seeing you Margret, I'm going to go to the inn for now, but I think I'll skip on the drinks. Long story, maybe another time when I'm in a safer area" Keema said before heading to the inn.

Alright so next chapter will be basically Shade going in and taking control of the blackblood marauders as her own crew, probably gonna be a really short chapter.

After that, I don't know if I should make Keema do a quest for the orc stronghold, maybe the Malacath quest where she gets fucked by the orc chieftain when he betrays her, before the false dragonborn joins in, seemingly the brother of the chieftain. Or maybe she could do the dibella quest, maybe a forsworn briarheart who overpowers her and fucks her until she rips his heart out of his chest or something.
