Passion: Romantic Intentions

Seamus drove along the heavily traveled interstate. He checked his speedometer as he passed a speed limit sign. He was running seventy miles per hour; just where he needed to be. He wanted to drive faster, to get home faster. But he wouldn't risk a ticket from a police officer. He was headed home from a military base in Mississippi. He was in the Army reserves, and he had one weekend a month where he had to go and serve. It brought in some extra money to the household, but it took him away from his love, his mate, his wolf. Seamus's full name was Seamus Accendo, husband and mate of Bane Accendo. The Bluetooth headset in his ear beeped its warning that a call was coming through to his cellphone. It was Bane, he clicked the answer button. "Hey babe, I'm on my way home." "YAY," said Bane, " I can't wait to see you." "I can't wait to see you babe, I'm about four hours away right now." "Ok, that's good to know. Love you foxy." "Love you too wolfy." With this exchange, both hang their phones up. Each yearning for the others touch. Seamus had never regretted his choice to join the reserves, but it was difficult. With an impatient sigh, Seamus adjusted the seat-belt he was wearing. After an accident where he hadn't worn it, he no longer took chances with not wearing it, even if it was uncomfortable.

Bane was sitting in his desk chair, in his office. He sat the phone down on his desk and sighed. He loved Seamus so much and these weekends were difficult, but he supported Seamus because he was fulfilling his dream. He had always wanted to be in the service, to serve for a greater purpose than himself. It was a noble sentiment, and one Bane tried to support fully. He had to admit that is was less than perfect as it took the two apart at times but he was willing to make the sacrifice, as so many other families had to do. He turned back to his computer and continued typing what he had been working on before he had called his foxy mate. He was writing another chapter of Through the Horizon. It had been an extremely successful series and Bane had a great amount of pride in it. It felt good that others liked what he created too. Bane smiled as he wrote a love scene between Seamus and Bane. It was amusing to him that he had used his name and that of his mate for two of the main characters. He sat back in his chair and thought of their history. The two had started as just friends, and Bane had been emotionally invested in another fur. However things fell apart and Seamus stood beside him and supported him. The truth was Seamus had loved Bane the entire time, and had kept his silence for Bane's happiness. That meant more to Bane then he could ever express. They had quickly became mates and then fiance's. Many said it was too soon, that they would wait. However both Seamus and Bane never doubted themselves or their love. Even when they were apart they could feel each other. Seamus liked to say they had a soul connection. The romanticism of such a thought made Bane smile, each time he thought of it. Bane had continued his college career and became a teacher and Seamus went to college and majored in chemistry, then took up teaching courses so he could join his mate as a teacher. Both taught at the same school, it was certainly interesting as nobody really knew they were married. Both went and taught as friends, and returned home as lovers. He was not ashamed of his mate, it was just that in a rural school district, it was easier to keep quiet about their relationship. Bane smiled as he thought of the night in store for he and his mate. Tomorrow was work, but tonight could be for play. Bane then returned to reality and finished typing his story. It was a very interesting chapter, the villainous Lord Whitepaw was about to be defeated by Bane. Just as he was about to submit the story the power died. This was a common happening where he and Seamus lived. They taught at a rural school. It was a poor area, but a good one nevertheless. It was filled with good and understanding people. Tonight Bane would show Seamus his love, but first preparations must be made. The backup generator came on and power was restored. Bane booted the computer back up and submitted the story. That taken care of, he then walked though the house and into the kitchen to begin to prepare the evenings meal.

Seamus was nearing his home. He approached the interstate exit and got off on the road that led to it . He traveled thru the country side. The sun was beginning to set in the western horizon. Seamus smiled as the road turned and he began to drive into the sunset. As his thoughts drifted to his mate, he approached the street he lived on. He quickly reached his house and pulled into the driveway, a smile on his face. He exited his car and walked though the outside door, contented to be home again. The two lovers lived in a two story brick home with a basement. The basement contained the office area, as well as armory, workshop, and game room. The first floor contained the great room, kitchen, and dining room. The top floor contained four bedrooms and three bathrooms. They loved their home, it was their dream home, they had worked and saved for years to afford it. It was a old south style home. There were trees around it, providing shade in the summer and leaves to be raked up in the fall. It even had a wrap around porch on it, something they were extremely proud of. Seamus set his duffel bag down beside the door and looked up to see his mate and the love of his life emerge from the kitchen with a happy greeting. Bane opened his arms and pulled Seamus into a loving embrace. He then stood back and looked at Seamus as he said,"Welcome home foxy, how did your weekend go?" Seamus smiled and looked at Bane as he replied,"I was long without you my love." The two walked into the home hand in hand. One fox and one red wolf united by love. The two were soul mates, that much was obvious to their closest friends. It was also obvious to both of them. Neither ever doubted the other's love and devotion because it was palpable in the way they looked at each other. A blaze of passion was visible, but this was not simple lustful passion, tho that had it's place in their relationship. No this was pure love, true love, a love that could not be destroyed by time, space, or anything else.

Bane led Seamus into the dining room, and the fox was awestruck at the sight that awaited him there. Bane had prepared lasagna for dinner. The room was alight with candles! Seamus loved candles and the air was filled with a sweet perfumed scent. Soft, romantic music was playing and a bottle of their favorite wine awaited them already chilled and poured into glasses. Seamus turned to his mate, his wolfy and looked into his eyes. He could see the love in them for him. He could see how much Bane had missed him but he could also see the pride Bane had in him for what he was doing. Bane pulled Seamus into a passionate kiss. As they kissed, the world melted away from them. At that moment nothing mattered except for their love. They broke apart and Bane guided his lover to his seat and then took a seat himself. Bane plated up the food and handed Seamus his plate. Bane said with a smile, "Dig in foxy." The two ate and drank their whine. The food was good but the atmosphere was more satisfying than anything to Seamus. His wolfy had taken a lot of time and prepared this special meal to welcome him home. In this moment he had never felt more loved. The two finished their dinner and Bane told Seamus to go and sit by the pool out back, where he would bring desert. Seamus turned on the pool lights and went outside to the patio where he took a seat in one of the lounge chairs. He removed his shirt and sighed contently as the pool sparkled with moonlight and the illumination. He loved how the water cast shimmering s of reflected light on the house as a soft breeze blew through his fur. He smiled as Bane stepped out; he too had removed his shirt. Bane walked over and gave Seamus a large piece of pie and a cup of coffee. He then went and retrieved his own and joined his foxy lover.

The two sat by the pool, eating their pie and drinking their coffee. They were silent but no words were needed. No, everything that needed to be said was being expressed by the looks and smiles the two shared. As the two sipped their coffee in the moonlight, a rustle of bushes alerted them both that they were not alone in their back yard. The rustle grew quiet. What was causing this mysterious sound? Whatever it was moved again, this time Seamus reached in his pocket and got his knife in his pocket. His military training made him cautious and prepare to defend himself and his mate. It was in this moment that a strange creature leapt out of the bushes and had Seamus pinned to the chair before he could do anything to prevent it. Bane's lack of alarm made Seamus pause before attacking the creature on top of him. Bane gave a chuckle and said, "Honey, meet our next door neighbor, Dasher Cheetah. He moved in Friday after you left." The cat got off of Seamus and bowed low raising his tail slightly in an elegant arc as he said,"Its an honor to meet the mate of Bane Accendo." Seamus smiled and gave a soft chuckle. He had indeed been startled but the cat seemed nice enough. Seamus stood up and offered the kitty a paw. It was at that point Dasher saw the opened pocket knife in it and his fur stood up in fright. He had just pounced an armed fox! Seamus noticed the knife, flicked it closed with a practiced movement and pocketed the blade before once more extending his now empty paw and saying,"Nice indeed." With a wolfish grin, the fox gave a lunge, planted his paw on the cat's chest and pushed Dasher backwards. Into the pool the surprised cat went, arms flailing and a surprised yowl escaping his mouth. Dasher splashed and hissed as his fur was soaked to the skin by the warm pool water. Bane and Seamus laughed loudly at seeing the wet cat stand in the pool, his arms crosses and a displeased look on his face. With his eyes shut in laughter, Bane didn't notice the rapid movements Dasher made, until a soaked pair of pants hit him in the face. Dasher stood in the pool, completely naked, and grinned at the now surprised and wet wolf. Dasher shrugged and said with a laugh, "Well? It is all I had to throw at you." With that he turned around and dove under the water, raising his tail and exposing his pucker for the briefest moment. Bane sputtered then laughed and Seamus stood stunned. After the shock wore off, Seamus turned to Bane for some sort of explanation regarding the cat. However all he got was Bane throwing Dasher's wet clothes into his face followed by a splash as Bane joined Dasher. Seamus chuckled at the playful wolf, then gave a grin as he got an idea. Seamus gave his mate a teasing look and began to remove his clothes in a decidedly provocative manner. Bane appreciated the show but was not so sure of how their new acquaintance would take the deliberately sexy display Seamus was putting on. Bane looked at Dasher, who was leaning on the side of the pool across from his teasing mate. The smile on Dasher's face as he looked at the furry form being exposed before them, set Bane's mind at ease. It seemed the cheetah was not a prude after all. In fact, from the way Dasher was placing his paws in front of a certain part of his body, he was having a reaction not unlike the one Bane was having also! Seamus quickly finished stripping and joined his mate and new friend. He swam up to Bane and surprised him by groping his balls as he came up before him. Bane jumped and yelped in surprise and Seamus chuckled loudly. Dasher smiled as the two once again embraced each other and shared a passionate kiss. Seamus then looked playfully and said "Why Bane, if you wanted me naked all you had to do was say so." This caused Bane to blush slightly as Dasher and Seamus laughed.

The three new friends splashed around for a while, shouting as they played and then got out and lay on the patio to dry off in the summer air. They lay on their backs and looked up at the stars. "Dasher?" asked Bane, "Have you ever wondered if there was anybody on another planet looking down at us wondering if there was life in the universe besides them?" Dasher chuckled before answering,"Yeah, I have . . . but its just idle speculation." The three continued to talk, and Dasher told his story. He had previously lived further south and had made really good friends with another gay couple, oddly enough one was a teacher and he was also a wolf. But he had decided he needed to move on and change locations. They could tell there was more to the story than the cheetah was telling. He had an air of sadness about him that made Bane and Seamus hold off questioning him further. There would be time to learn more about him, in time. Seamus thought him a bit of a mysterious figure but decided he was trustworthy nonetheless. Bane moved closer to Seamus and wrapped an arm around his foxy mate. It was obvious to Dasher that the two wanted some alone time. He couldn't help but to admire their bodies, but there would be more than enough time for play in the future. This was there time and he was intruding upon it. He bid them good night as he got up and walked next door. As he walked though the gate that connected their two yards, he turned to see Bane pick Seamus up and carry him into the house. He gave a sad smile. Such wonderful memories he had. Perhaps he would share them some day, but not today. No this was their day, and it was a joyful occasion. He turned and walked into his house. It was as good as his old home, but it wasn't really home. Not yet, but it would be soon enough. He showered off and lay down in bed, sleep soon took the exhausted cheetah, but as he slipped under he could hear sounds from next door. Whatever they were doing, it would make one hell of a story.
