#7 of Jason Wolfe: Mortality

Chapter 7: The Family that Stays Together...

Day 18

"That's right, folks, Newroads has a new_hero in town."_

The newsfeed flipped to a video of a black and gold wolf dressed in similarly coloured armour soaring through the skies and catching a hurtling bus full of people in his bare hands. The wolf easily set it down and teleported in a burst of darkness beside the huge gorilla that had hurled the bus in the first place. With a single, devastating punch, he sent the gorilla sprawling to the ground.

Jason went rigid as a blast of fire surged from a nearby alleyway. Thankfully, a shroud of shadows erupted beside the new hero of Newroads and formed into a shadowy image of a Rottweiler with gaseous wings. Hellhound shot into the alleyway, dragging out a smallish feline by the scruff and depositing her on the ground.

Cheering erupted from all around them as the crowd acknowledge their newest superhero combination.

Hellhound and Force Wolf.

"In the face of Jason Wolfe's retirement as a Professional Superhero,"_the anchorman announced, _"this new hero, Force Wolf, had stepped in to be our city's defender. From official reports, he has the power of gravity manipulation, capable of altering gravitational forces to fly and even mimic telekinesis. He also has the ability to create an intense gravitational force that allows him to teleport!

"What are your thoughts on this, Dr. Monroe?"

Jason rolled his eyes and switched off the television. It had gotten to that point in the program where it became less about the news and more about speculation. No doubt they were either going to praise or slander Sam. Rumours were already flying around that Sam was Negative-X's son or clone. Someone also said that Sam was really Legion who felt guilty about attacking Jason and was now turning a new leaf.

It was all preposterous.

Especially with the reports Jason held in his hands.

Legion... Chris... What are you up to...?

According to the report, Chris was very selective about whom he murdered. Even when the supervillain was amongst a huge number of gangsters, he'd only kill a select few. There were no clear connections between each of the victims either. It seemed totally random.

But it couldn't be random.

No... He has a plan...

With a heavy sigh, Jason got up from the entertainment room and glanced towards the much larger kitchen. Dan was almost finished with the renovations. They only had one more room to finish up and that was the nursery for Robin and Warren's babies... if they were still going to give them up for adoption.

Giddiness suddenly gripped Jason as he thought about the possibility of having a baby under their roof in nine months! In the two days since the dinner, he had already been looking at parenting magazines and searching for ways to breastfeed their child. He wondered if Robin would give them both children or just one but either way, he would ask her if she'd be their wet nurse.

No one in the family was really that well equipped to breastfeed.

A door shut somewhere behind him and he quickly tucked away the folder in his hands under the sofa. He didn't want anyone else knowing their contents until he had investigated things himself first. While he may no longer possess his powers, he was still a hero at heart and Legion was a problem he would address personally.

Dan was coming in from the backyard, a stack of boxes in his hands. There was something comical about seeing his father struggle with the huge stack that almost reached the roof.

"Hey Jason," Dan began, "could I hide these in there? Sam has been really nosy lately and I'm finding it harder and harder to hide these Endyear presents."

Endyear?

"It's a little early to be getting Endyear presents?" Jason asked, rising to his feet and taking the top half of the pile so that he could see his father's face. A face that was giving him an inquisitive look.

"Jason, it's seven days until Endyear."

Endyear was, as its name suggested, a celebration of the end of the year. In the five days before the actual end of the year, festivities were held all over the world. Historically speaking, countless wars even stopped in the Five Days of the End. Some areas simply called actual Endyear as New Years Eve but there was much significance in the day as well apart from just the end of one solar cycle.

Endyear signified the signing of the treaties that ended the Hero Wars many centuries ago. On that momentous, diplomatic day, nations exchanged gifts to signify their willingness to co-exist with one another and the budding supers all over the world as well as the newly formed Reprieve. Carrying on that tradition, Endyear served as a holiday where everyone would gather presents and give them to loved ones.

It was also one hell of a shopping nightmare.

"It can't be," Jason answered, shaking his head in disbelief. Glancing over at the calendar on the fridge, he had to blink twice to make sure he wasn't seeing things.

Seven days.

Seven days to Endyear.

His heart jumped in his chest, doing a double somersault dive straight into his stomach where it was dissolved in a pool of his stomach acids.

Crap!

"Jason, how could you forget?" Dan asked, setting down his presents on the floor. "You've been invited to this year's Endyear Parade, remember?"

Double Crap!

In the five-day lead-up to Endyear, there were countless events held to really get everyone in the spirit of giving. The Endyear Parade was a Newroads tradition held six days before Endyear itself where local superheroes and specially invited superheroes would stand on huge floats and throw gifts to the crowd - usually action figures of themselves.

Jason remembered getting that invitation...

How could I forget it was Endyear!?

"There's been a lot on your mind,"_Reason said with a shrug. _"What with Sam's instalment as a Professional Super, that report you got form Jen, your coma. It's all been rather hectic. Oh, and shouldn't it be snowing right about now...?"

Being in such a cold place, normally it would be snowing at least two weeks before Endyear. While the temperature had definitely dropped, there were still only small hints at snow.

Stupid global warming, making me forget about Endyear...

"You haven't gotten anyone any gifts, have you?" Dan said with a wince.

Jason really didn't need to say anything. He was sure it was written all over his face that he had completely forgotten about the first Endyear he and his family would spend together.

In the little soap-opera in his head, Sam sat a disappointed smile on his face with the empty box in front of him, telling Jason in a broken voice that it when his eyes said Jason just lost major points with his son. Dan just sighed and went back to completing the renovations, alone and with his boyfriend a notorious supervillain...Again.

Then there was Brett... who, as Jason's Endyear present, handed back his wedding ring.

NO!

It should have been one of those things that he would never dream of forgetting!

Especially when the consequences were so dire!

But it was...

"Maybe a few things were knocked out while you were in a coma...?"

Jason ignored Reason.

Maybe if I get a peak at what Dan got everyone else, I might get some idea what to buy...

"Are you crazy!?"_Pessimist shouted. _"It'd spoil the surprise and the spirit of Endyear!"

"You're being stupid,"_Optimist huffed. _"If Dan didn't want him seeing the presents, he would never have asked Jason's help."

Horndog slid in with a big grin on his face. "Why don't you yiff him and while he's distracted or basking in the afterglow, take a peak?"

Optimist won.

He regarded the presents on the table. A frown crossed his features when he picked up a video case showing Brett grinning broadly back at him, cock fully erect and wrapping his huge, muscular arms around a big bull with the bull's third horn rubbing against the Rottweiler's ass. The words 'Branded' were written in big, broad letters across the top.

"Please tell me you weren't planning on giving Sam this."

Dan shook his head vigorously. "No! Of course not! Brett said that was one of the videos that he threw out when you guys got serious. He wanted to get a copy for old times' sake."

For some reason, Jason doubted that was the only reason Brett wanted the video.

A new thought entered his mind.

Dan just brought my_mate an awesome gift..._

... so what does that say about me...?

Suddenly, back in soap-opera-world, Brett handed back his wedding ring before giving his Endyear gift to Dan... another ring... and another proposal...

"Dan... Will you marry me?"

Oh crap...

NO!

Panic began setting into Jason's heart as he hurried to take in the rest of the presents, desperately searching for some indication that he wasn't a terrible father/husband for forgetting Endyear!

There were far more practical gifts in the pile. A nice new gaming console for Sam as well as dozens of the latest games. A new laptop computer for Brett and...

"Is that a new knife set?" Jason exclaimed.

Dan blushed and rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah... I thought you might like it..."

Guilt suddenly brought Jason's heart back up from his stomach only to fill it with that crushing emptiness of shame.

"Now I feel kinda bad knowing what it is..."

His father chuckled and tapped the tower of presents he had set down. "It's not the actual gift that matters, Jason. It's the act of giving. Even you have to know by now that even the smallest gesture could mean the world to people."

Jason regarded the presents and that guilt began building up more. What his father said was the standard, 'It's okay that you didn't and probably won't get me anything good this year' speech. A speech that held the 'I'm acting like I'm not disappointed but really, I am' undertone supplemented by the, 'You had better get me something better next year' connotation.

Classic parental guilt trip.

"You don't think there are any good shops open at this time do you?"

"Jason, it's almost five in the evening, two days before the Endyear Festival starts. The only thin available are either trout jerky, single shoes or those creepy dolls that people sometimes put up during All Hallows Eve."

Probably true... But...

Jason turned and grabbed his keys.

"Smallest gestures, right?" he replied, hurrying into his car and speeding straight into town.

Being practically bedridden for the past few days had left him oblivious to all the Endyear decorations and general Endyear spirit in the air. There were so many green, grassy wreaths hanging on windows, ornately decorated candles everywhere and angelic decorations hovering over every streetlamp and signpost.

Each was seemed to be mocking him.

Crying, 'Ha-ha! You forgot Endyear! Now you're the worst father/husband in the world!'

_"My god you're neurotic..."_Reason murmured.

"Shut up."

He went to all the shopping malls he could. There were still some pretty decent gifts but none of them seemed to outclass anything that Dan had set up. Jason bolted from store to store, looking for something... anything that was tell Sam, Brett and Dan that he loved them so much that his gift was no only thoughtful but also expensive. It was impossible to outclass gifts that were asked for.

"Don't you think that it's better if you give something that comes from the heart_instead of something that comes from the wallet?"_

"Oh yeah, that's a great_idea,"_ Pessimist muttered. "Let's perform open-heart surgery and give them Jason's heart!I bet they'll just love that! It's definitely a gift that comes from the heart!"

"You really aren't helping," Reason said.

"Then what's your_big idea, huh?"_

Reason shrugged. "First off, you've also got to remember that Sam, Brett and Dan aren't the only_ones you've got to get gifts for. There's also Robin, Warren, Jen and most recently, Todd."_

WHAM! WHAM! WHAM! WHAM!

Four huge weights crushed all of Jason's hopes, each one with the name of the mentioned engraved on the side.

_ And let's not forget now that Le'Tombe and Norwood are so close, inviting them is basically a_ must_and that means getting_ them_a gift especially since it's only been so recent that they were friends of the family."_

WHAM! WHAM!

Two more weights...

"And there's also Townes. So that's an additional seven gifts to get."

WHAM! WHAM!

There were two weights there because firstly, Jason realised he did have to get Townes a gift not only for Sam's sake but also for his own because he owed Townes his high school diploma. Secondly, it was Townes and knowing the horny big cat, at the Endyear dinner, he'd find some excuse to suck off someone...

Speaking of which...

...

Crrrrack!

Jason stopped in front of a massive bookstore, feeling all the weights of his obligations pushing down on his shoulders and the horrible prospect of having to prepare the Endyear dinner. With only seven days until the big day, all the catering services were probably booked solid and the prices for all the really good traditional Endyear meals had skyrocketed!

I'm doomed...

"Look,"_Reason said, patting his shoulder consolingly. _"Let's look at this reasonably. We'll address each of them one by one, alright? Every person is unique. They've all walked through their different doors and will expect or want different things. Some will want something expensive and material others will want things that are more symbolic.

"I don't think Endyear is about getting something expensive. It's about the act of giving and saying to that person that you're thinking about them a lot. So think, let's start with an easy one."

They both glanced at the bookstore.

"Okay, so Nora Le'Tombeis a psychologist," Reason began. "She'll obviously have a large repository of psychological books. However, remember that she and Norwood a looking to have a baby."

Jason rolled his eyes and shoved his hands into his pockets. "Right... Child of Evil," he grumbled. "So what do you suggest? We get them some contraceptives or maybe even fertility drugs?"

WHACK!

Reason hit him with his Epic Broom of Ass Kicking. "Firstly, stop talking to yourself. You're in public and chances are, people will start thinking you're crazy."

It was a good point. Even as an ex-super, he was well-recognised. Considering he just came out of a coma, retired as a Professional Super and lost his powers, talking to himself in public might just make undesirable rumours fly around. Like his well-established insanity going public... or the fact that he often mentally spoke to his subconscious...

"Secondly,"_Reason continued, _"be nice. I wasn't talking about fertility drugs."

Jason stopped in front of an isle books featuring parental material. Everything from basic childrearing, breastfeeding and...

... child psychology.

_"Tada!"_Reason exclaimed with a flourish.

It was perfect. Jason grabbed three books on making the perfect environment for a child and helping to nurture a child's brain so that they could reach their full potential. For Norwood, he grabbed a book on the paternal side of childrearing -

_"NO!"_Reason shouted, slapping the back of his hand with the Broom.

What!? Why not?

"Norwood is a High School Principal_. It'd be an insult to his capabilities as an educator if you gave him a book on how to raise children!"_

Jason grabbed the book anyway.

"Put it down!"

Sighing, he placed the book back.

Then what are we going to get him?

"What every father needs when they have a new baby coming."

Apparently, headphones and a portable DVD player. For those times when the baby was crying and the father needed some 'alone time'.

The rest of the shopping spree went by rather quickly and efficiently. Jason listened to Reason the entire time, picking up appropriate gifts for all the people he sought to invite to their Endyear Party that he knew he'd have to host. With the renovations nearly complete, a housewarming was probably in order and pooling it in time with Endyear would make the event just as spectacular.

Again, Reason's idea.

Less preparation with about the same amount of food. A little more food perhaps but definitely easier to manage.

Traditional Endyear dinner was held two days before Endyear itself. Endyear Eve was when the presents were opened and Endyear itself was meant for preparation for New Years Day.

Townes' gift was probably one of hardest to get because Reason had opted to grab him a dildo. Something to ensure the lion was well-occupied during their dinner instead of stroking the guy unfortunate enough to be sitting next to him. Getting it was embarrassing even if it was public knowledge Jason was gay. He couldn't meet the clerk's eyes as he handed over the cash.

Warren's gifts were some heavy power tools. Eventually, he too would get pretty serious with Robin. Perhaps the onset of the twins was too soon but Jason suspected there was a reason those two were together and there was also a reason why Warren chose her. Warren would need the power tools when he started being an actual father or husband.

Todd... Was a mystery. Jason didn't know the guy that well but since he was Sam's boyfriend, he had to get the guy a gift. He was tempted to grab another dildo but he couldn't bear to go back into that store to face that clerk again. Todd's gift ended up being a bottle of some fairly strong cologne.

Jen's gift was simple and easy. She needed something to make her feel strong again especially since she was essentially on her own now that her brother was gone. Jason got her a whole lot of rather expensive clothing and jewellery. Things that would make her beautiful and appreciated.

Robins' gift was much more personal. Jason got her a big, silver set of jewellery, photo frames and a photo album. The reasoning behind the set was Robin was going to have two children soon. Whether or not she gave them up for adoption didn't matter. They were still her children. Plus, this would commemorate a massive change in her life. The jewellery consisted of a locket and a pendant, ones where photographs could easily be slipped into. Mementos for the milestones in her life.

_I think she'll like these,_Jason thought as he carried the bag of presents back to his car.

Dan and Brett's gifts were pretty easy to get.

For his dad, Jason picked up a huge landscape photograph of the old crew of Reprieve. Ranging from the superheroes to the common staff, the enormous photograph cost well into the thousands to obtain since it was pretty much an antique. It was deep, meaningful and he knew Dan would love it.

For Brett...

Once he had all the presents back in his car, he returned to the mall to the only shop open at the time.

A special photographer's shop that did custom printing too.

Jason pushed open the door and poked his head in.

"Hello?"

To his relief, the lady at the counter was still there. He was afraid that he'd be addressing someone different when his appointment came up. There was no denying butterflies were fluttering around in his stomach, however. This wasn't something he would normally do... but all things considered...

"Ah! Mr. Wolfe!" she exclaimed with a big grin on her face. "Come in! Come in! We'll get started straight away!"

Jason took a deep breath and stepped into the dark, gloomy store that had to be some sort of converted Halloween store. A definite 'Haunted House' feeling hung in the air. Unfortunately, that atmosphere was killed by the presence of countless nude photographs hanging on the walls. All of them had the subject's private parts conveniently covered. The presence of near-naked women - even in photograph form - almost made Jason turn around and flee in terror.

He took a deep breath and resolved that this was for his mate... This was for Brett...

Something he knew his love would cherish and use forever.

"So... Erm... How does this work, exactly?" he asked as the woman led him away from the front of the store and to a large closet. There were countless costumes there further exemplifying Jason's 'Halloween House' theory. Firemen outfit, policeman uniforms and countless, flowery costumes were stacked on top of one another.

"Simple," the woman replied, smiling and waving at the costumes. "You just take of your clothes and put on any costume if you want to. We will then enter the stage area where our photographer will take photos of you anyway you wish. When you're done, we'll print out your photographs in the form you wanted." She regarded the clipboard she was holding. "So... It was in 'coupon' form, right?"

Jason swallowed hard. "Y - Yeah... That's right..."

"What exactly is on the coupons?" she asked, lowering her glasses slightly and raising a pen.

Oh crap... She's gonna make me spell it out...

He took another deep breath. "So how much will the three hundred I handed over be worth?"

She regarded her clipboard. "The photo session is two hundred and the next hundred will give you about seventy five print outs. High quality."

Crap...

"Can't we just write it after the photos?" Jason asked meekly.

"Sorry. I'm printing the coupons as you take the photographs. We close soon and you said you wanted these ready by tonight."

He did... In his desperation, he hadn't thought about doing it tomorrow or the day after. No, it had to be done this night...

Sighing and letting out that breath he had held, he said, "I want the first twenty to say, 'Good for one...'" He stopped and gulped. "Fuck..." he finished. She began scribbling on her clipboard. "The next twenty should read... 'One Free Ride'... and the next twenty to say 'Buy one sausage get one free...'"

This is so_embarrassing...._

"Uh-huh," the woman replied nodding. "Fifteen left."

"Right... The last fifteen should say 'Admit One.'"

The lady nodded. "Okay. I'll have these for you right after you finish your shoot." She pulled aside one of the curtains leading to the stage room. "David! Your last customer is up!"

Jason sighed and regarded the costumes set in front of him. He had four messages for four types of erotic coupons. Thinking of those, he picked up three different costumes. One was a fireman's uniform, another was what appeared to be an all leather outfit and the last was an erotic superhero costume. He decided that the photographer was probably going to be someone he didn't know and it would be perfectly fine to do the last few shots in the nude.

Besides, if he had seen Brett a thousand times naked doing it with some guy, his mate wouldn't mind if he posed nude for some erotic coupons. Hell, Brett would probably love it.

He hurried into the fireman's uniform, a little unnerved by the fact that it left his chest bare and his groin exposed. But that was the intention. Just thinking about Brett coming up to him one night, giving him his specially prepared coupons made him shiver in delight.

Best present ever...

He headed through the curtains in the uniform and -

... froze...

"Oh no..." he murmured.

His photographer gawked.

"You have got to be kidding me!" David Storm cried. "You're my client!?"

The jaguar had been the source of both his and Robin's pain for a good few days back while he had been attending college. He was openly bisexual and had obtained sexual gratification not only from Robin but also Jason. In fact, he had blackmailed Jason into keeping his orientation a secret from Robin lest he tell Brett - whom had asked Jason to marry him at the time and was engaged to.

The conflict had ended with Jason telling Robin who promptly kicked David out.

And now...

Oh great... Now he gets to take photographs of me...

"I am not doing this!" David snapped, turning around and storming out of the room.

Their surroundings were decorated mostly rather bright, cushions and drapery. There were a few photographic umbrellas and tripods standing around the small, square room. A few of the walls were painted realistically like particular scenes - primarily one of a fire engine or a jail cell. Props also littered the ground.

"This is what you're doing?" Jason asked, puzzled but with a grin crawling onto his face. "What happened to your journalism career with that newspaper?"

"In case you forgot," the feline snarled, "our little agreement with Robin stipulated that I be nowhere near you guys. Being an enemy of a world-renowned super isn't great especially when you're no supervillain."

There was a pang of guilt that jabbed Jason's heart but he ignored it for the moment. "It wasn't my fault that you lost your job. That was something you decided, not us."

David snarled, grabbing the curtains and pulling them aside. "Whatever. I'm not taking nude pictures of you."

A sharp comeback concerning the last time nude pictures were taken of them together boiled to the surface but was snapped back thanks to Reason's Broom.

"Every action has a consequence. Every door opened is countless others not_opened. When you choose one path, your actions affect others. Never forget that something you do could hurt someone else even if it's not obvious."_

He hated that Reason was right...

"Wait," Jason said, reaching out and grabbing David's shoulder. "Look, this is just an Endyear present for Brett, my mate..."

"Good for you," David growled, shrugging off Jason's hand. "Have a Merry Endyear."

"Just listen!" He forcibly spun David back around so that they were staring eye-to-eye. While he didn't have Genesis anymore, he was still a lot stronger than more normal humans or Animarians. "If you do this for me, I promise there's a job in it for you. Way better than this."

_"Do you know where you're going with this?"_Reason asked.

Not really...

"Oh yeah?" David scoffed with a shake of his head. "What makes you think I want anything better than this?" The feline made a vague gesture around him. "I get to surround myself with naked chicks and cocks. I get photographs of them too. What's better than that?"

What is_better than that...?_

The possibility of being Dan's assistant was pretty good... but Dan was self-reliant and managed well by himself. Maybe David could write another biography of the 'Great Jason Wolfe'... But there were already so many of those it was ridiculous.

An idea hit him.

"What about exclusive rights to photograph and interview Newroad's newest hero?"

David pulled away from Jason's grip. "You're hardly new. Everyone knows everything about you."

"I'm not talking about me," Jason answered, crossing his arms securely. "I'm talking about Force Wolf."

At that, David's eyebrows rose and his eyes filled with a glimmer of ambition. "You're saying that I get to do a story about Force Wolf? And only me?"

"Realistically speaking, that's not something you have the right to negotiate about,"_Reason began. _"You're talking about Sam's identity here. Are you sure you trust David?"

You know what...?

I do.

David Storm was a liar, a two-timing backstabber and a rotten boyfriend but underneath that all, he was really a pretty decent guy. If anything, he was trying to make a clean break. Regardless of his claims, he hated this job. That much was evident just in his eyes alone.

Everyone made mistakes...

... opened doors that they regretted...

But the best thing anyone could ever do was to offer other doors to those that had taken the wrong path.

"I can't assure you anything," Jason replied. "But if you do this for me, I promise I'll fight for your case."

Another idea hit him.

"And hey! Why don't you have Endyear Dinner with us?"

David blinked in surprise. "What?"

"We've had our differences is the past, I'll admit," Jason said, holding out his hand. "But if there's anything I've learned, it's that you gotta let the past go. If Robin can forgive Warren for nearly ending the world, then I'm sure everyone can forgive you for trying to blackmail us and cheating on her."

A long, strained pause followed where David just stared at Jason's hand. An instant passed when Jason thought David would just shrug and turn away, leaving Jason to think of yet another Endyear present for Brett that was deep, meaningful and damn sexy at seven in the evening.

Then, David slapped Jason's hand and turned towards the camera.

"Get in position," the jaguar said. "Don't force it either. The best pictures are those that are done naturally. I know you want to look sexy for your man but you don't want to look desperate."

Jason just grinned.

*****

The biggest problem of coming home late with a bunch of Endyear presents was that everyone was waiting up and it would have been impossible to keep them from seeing it. However, Jason already had a plan to address that.

During the long twenty-minute drive home, Jason had contrived a way to make sure he had the gifts to distant relations - like Townes, Le'Tombe and Norwood - out in the open but the more important ones kept secretly in his car. He shoved the important presents underneath the driver's seat and the rest were placed in the trunk.

Everyone would assume to look to the trunk and not in the car.

Jason drove up to the almost completely united houses just in time to see the front door open.

"Dad!" Sam exclaimed, immediately emerging from the house with his sapphire-blue eyes brimming with joy and that brilliant grin cloud-parting grin on his face. Brett and Dan were quickly behind him.

"Hey-hey!" Jason replied, quickly opening the trunk.

True to his plan, Dan went straight to the trunk to unload the presents while Brett and Sam hurried over to him. Brett wrapped his arms around Jason's shoulders and planted a wet kiss on Jason's nose. Their noses were pressed against one another a second later.

"Endyear snuck up on you this year, huh?" his Rottweiler sniggered.

"After the coma, it pretty much bit my ass," Jason chuckled.

Sam's eyes went wide when Dan stood up from the trunk holding a big, black dildo in his hand. The expression on Dan's face was priceless. It was somewhere between, 'I can't believe he bought this' and 'I hope this is for me'.

"Dad... Who's that for...?" Sam asked tentatively.

"Todd," Jason joked. "I thought he might put it to good use."

Sam's jaw just dropped.

Brett laughed, a bright, hearty guffaw that sent Jason's heart jumping in glee. If that was how his mate reacted to a gift for someone else, he couldn't wait to give Brett his real present.

"I'm guessing that's actually for Townes," his Rottweiler replied.

"Huh?" Jason replied, his heart stopping in mid-somersault.

His mate grinned and poked his nose with a finger gently. "Knowing you, you sent yourself on an anxiety trip just thinking about what to get us all and over-thought everything. So, you thought you'd get everyone something meaningful. In the process of that, you remembered you probably have to prepare Endyear dinner as well and invited everyone while you're at it.

"So, thinking about dinner and the last time we had dinner with everyone, you anticipated Townes jacking off someone and opted to get him something to occupy himself."

Despite the many years they had known each other, Jason was still both horrified and astounded at how well Brett knew him. It was like his mate could read his mind. Creepy but at the same time, it made him feel so loved.

"Okay, if you're so smart," Jason challenged, "what did I get everyone else?"

Brett's hands slid down from his shoulders around his waist. For a second, Jason feared his mate's hands would brush against the pockets of his jeans where he was keeping the custom-made coupons but they didn't, much to his relief.

"Let's see..." his Rottweiler began. "Hmmm... For Nora, you probably got her baby-raising books since she's a psychologist but one how deals mostly with teenagers and adolescents. Not babies."

A little scoreboard appeared in Jason's mind. A loud ding indicated that was one point towards Brett while he remained at zero.

"Okay... Got me there," Jason muttered.

"For Ted..." Brett bobbed his head from side to side. "I'm going to go for something electrical... A DVD player?"

Ding.

That counted.

"Portable DVD player and headphones," Jason conceded.

"Found 'em!" Dan announced, bringing out the stuff from the trunk. "Hey! These are pretty expensive, Jason!"

"Nah," he cried over his shoulder, "they were on sale."

Brett leaned in and rubbed their cheeks together. "I'm guessing you got Todd football gear or something football related."

Bzzzzt!

That strong, incorrect buzzing noise echoed in Jason's mind and he grinned broadly.

"Ha!" he exclaimed in triumph. "I got him cologne!"

Brett frowned slightly. "It was a long shot. We both don't know him that well. I got him some weights. He needs to trim a bit of that fat."

Sam slinked up beside them and pouted slightly. "I like him when he's not so trim. He's more cuddly."

"Gotta have to test that out one of these days," Brett answered with a grin at their son.

That reminded Jason that he still had to 'initiate' Todd.

Boy that'd be fun...

"Well, we better head inside now," Jason said, stretching and gently brushing Brett's arms off him. "I'm kinda hungry and I didn't get time to shop for anything else. I'll pick it up again tomorrow."

His mate shrugged and proceeded to hold him tightly, those big, meaty hands gripping his ass tightly. "Yeah, I suppose trying to hide the other presents under the car seat would've been tiring."

"I -"

Ding! Ding! Ding!

That was an instant three points to Brett.

Sam turned back to the convertible. "Hey! There's more under here!"

No!

Before Jason could protest, Brett silenced him with a long, passionate kiss that sent his mind reeling. Suddenly, all thoughts of the Endyear surprise was banished as Sam fished out the remaining presents. The big group portrait of the Reprieve staff caused Dan to falter, dropping the presents in his hands. Jason whimpered when the portable DVD player for Norwood hit the concrete.

His father's eyes, however, were filled with so much emotion that it was well worth a thousand DVD players. Dan reached out for the portrait that was in Sam's hands, taking it gently and running his fingers over the massive photograph that was nearly as wide as his arm span. Jason noticed his dad was staring at one particular area... He pulled away from Brett, turning to his father.

"Dad... Are you alright?" he asked softly.

Sam moved beside Dan, eyes darting between his grandfather's eyes to the portrait. "Dan... Is that you and... Chris...?"

Jason and Brett exchanged glances and quickly scrambled to have a look.

There had to be over five thousand people in the portrait making the people in it incredible small. Jason had tried to spot Dan and Chris but had failed since he had no idea where to look. If fact, he had hoped Dan was in the portrait...

Standing on the forefront of all the thousands in the picture stood the Blue Wolf in his trademark trench coat and metallic helm. Right behind him stood Dan Wolfe, grinning from ear to ear. There was no mistaking, however, that Chris Thornton's right hand had slid backwards slightly and was gripping another hand tightly. It wasn't clear whose hand it was but since Dan was there...

They really were close...

"Jason... Where did you find this...?" Dan whispered softly. Tears were welling up in the older wolf's eyes.

"In an antique store," Jason replied.

Dan's eyes locked with his, a staggering smile on his face. It had been a long while since Dan Wolfe was left speechless... but this was one such time. His lips were quivering but his eyes said it all.

Best present ever.

Without warning, Dan lunged forward, grabbing the sides of Jason's head and wrapping their lips together in the ultimate sign of gratitude. Dan even uttered a faint 'thank you, son' down Jason's throat. Jason replied by poking his father slightly with his erect cock. After being molested by his mate and now kissed by his dad, Jason was in heaven.

When Dan pulled away, he chuckled softly. "I guess I'll have to wait to actually get this, huh?"

It would have been cruel to make his dad wait to receive such a gift. "Nah," Jason replied. "It's not the gift but the thought behind it. Just like it isn't when the gift is given but rather that it is given. Take it, dad."

"Thank you, Jason," Dan choked, regarding the massive picture again. "This means so much to me..."

"Does that mean we can get all our gifts too?" Sam piped up, bouncing happily.

Erm...

"Maybe I can use my gift now?" Brett asked, absently fanning himself with a suspicious coupon book.

Oh no...

Jason patted his jeans pocket and his heart sank when he couldn't feel Brett's present.

"Huh?" Sam asked, peeking over Brett's shoulder. His eyes went wide like saucers just as a grin crawled on his face. "Whoa... Dad!"

Dan left his emotions behind as he also regarded the coupon book Brett was shamelessly flaunting. "Oh my god..."

Jason wasn't sure that his black fur could keep him from blushing bright red. The book had just been meant for Brett... Well... Okay, he admitted that his entire family was entitled to it but still! He didn't want it exposed like this!

"You look good in uniform, Jase," Brett chuckled, flipping through the book.

Having seen each and every one of those photographs, Jason knew that each coupon showed a different pose for him. While they said vaguely the same things, each one was unique. Sometimes, he'd be halfway nude, other times, completely nude. There were even some shots where his cock was up at full mast and David had gotten some 'fake semen' and lathered it all over him.

At the time it had seemed like a good idea.

But now...

"This one's my favourite," Sam announced, taking out one of the 'Admit One' coupons that showed Jason in full-spandex superhot attire, cock erect, tongue hanging out like he had just had the best sex in his life and fake cum dripping down his highly defined chest.

"I prefer this one," Dan chuckled. It was clear he was trying hard not to burst out in laughter but there was no denying that his cock was giving him trouble too. He held up a coupon where Jason was in a fireman's outfit, a fire hose dripping water right between his legs and the words 'One Free Ride' over his head with the motif of a big, red fire engine behind him.

"Can we just please go inside?" Jason whimpered, picking up the dropped presents.

"Wait!" Sam exclaimed. "What did you get for me?"

Uh-oh...

Jason just stared at his son, frozen.

...

He wasn't sure what to say... His gift wasn't something so readily packaged... or easily given at a moment's notice... It required build-up, suspense... and miraculous suprise...

I can't give it now_..._

Slowly... Sam's features lost their mirth. While not totally gone, they took on that heartbreaking, 'Oh you forgot' edge tinted with 'That's okay' and mocked with 'No, I'm really heartbroken'.

Sam just shrugged, keeping his grin. "Don't worry about it, Dad! You don't have to get me anything! You already gave me a home, a family and your love. That's enough for me."

It so wasn't.

It never was.

Sam picked up some of the presents and headed back into the house.

"What are you waiting for!?"_Reason exclaimed. _"Go after him!"

"Sam!" Jason cried, shoving the pile of presents in his hands into Brett. "Wait!"

Sam turned around, eyes bright and hopeful.

"I did get you something," Jason said softly. "But..."

The question remained whether he should give it to Sam now... or at Endyear... There was more significance at Endyear. Tradition added value. However...

Jason took the gifts in Sam's hands and handed them to Dan. Then, he took Sam's hand and led his son back into the house, practically dragging the gold and black wolf up the stairs and into the master bed room. Shutting the door behind him, he pushed Sam onto the bed.

"Dad..." Sam whimpered, as Jason quickly began undressing. "I appreciate the gesture but really... We don't have to do this..."

"Yes we do," Jason answered, pulling his pants down and throwing them aside. He only stood in his underwear in front of his son, his cock poking out from his boxer's waistband. "If everyone gets their gift now, you do too. You're a member of this family as well."

His son rolled off the bed. "Come on, dad... We're not animals. Giving someone sex for Endyear is just crude and a little disgusting..."

Jason pulled down his boxers and crawled onto the bed even as Sam headed for the door. "I'm not giving you sex, Sam."

At that... Sam froze, hand inches away from the doorknob.

Just as his son turned back to him, Jason turned his back to his son... slowly lifting his tail.

"I'm giving you me."

Even without looking, Jason knew his son's eyes had gotten wide in shock... Not to mention that Sam had stopped breathing.

"D - Dad... N - No... I can't..."

Jason glanced over his shoulder, grinning at Sam. "You don't like my present?"

...

An evil trick.

There was no way out.

Either Sam rejected his present and thus him... or...

"I... I love it, dad..." Sam whimpered. "But... You're my dad! I... I can't mount you..."

"Sure you can," Jason replied, winking at his son and slapping his ass playfully. "Are you telling me you don't want this?"

...

He heard Sam move towards him... Despite knowing exactly what he was in for - what he was asking his own son to do - Jason still felt nervous. All those times that Sam had never mounted him had been just times of empty sex, nothing significant to it. But this... This was something special. Even if it never happened again, Jason wanted the experience the magic of giving - the spirit of Endyear - to be something truly magnificent for his son.

Sam's strong, muscular arms wrapped around his chest, rubbing against his thick, round pecs and gently running across his abs. The gesture made him shudder, the shaking running from the tip of his tail, up his spine and crawling against the back of his neck. The trembling stopped when he felt Sam's lips gently peck at his broad shoulder, following a thick vein up to his neck before drawing a gently lick in to Jason's ear.

"Dad... If I hurt you..."

"I love you, Sam..." Jason answered, gently wrapping his hand around Sam's. His son's hand was still smaller compared to his... but he knew that would change soon. "I trust you more than anything."

Sam hesitated... "Dad... I can't..." He shook his head. "I just..."

A third voice came in.

"What if you had some help?"

The door to the room, swung open.

Like two, muscular, sex angels coming through a door to heaven, Dan and Brett stood in the doorway, naked and with their cocks bouncing excitedly in the air. Jason's heart - and manhood - instantly leapt for joy.

"Whu...?" Sam began, dumbfounded.

Dan took long, powerful strides into the room, quickly encircling Sam in his arms and licking the young wolf's neck. "Why don't I help guide you in, pup?" Jason grinned as his father's huge, meaty, vein-crossed hands slid down Sam's shorts, stroking the monster cock deep in there and slowly pulling it out into the open.

At the same time, Brett came striding in, positioning himself right in front of Jason with two coupons in his hand. He winked at Jason and set them down in front of him. They showed Jason offering up his ass to the camera, completely nude with his butt flanked by the words 'Admit One'.

"I really like my gift, Jase," his Rottweiler sniggered. "I am so going to use it every day."

Like a hungry dog, Jason's tongue dropped out and he panted as Brett's cock hung in front of him, long, red, hot and dripping with precum. He heard a moan from behind him and he glanced over his shoulder. Dan removed the last of Sam's clothing - his shirt - and threw it aside. Grandfather and grandson had their lips locked into one. Sam was clearly distracted as Dan's left hand worked all over the young wolf's body and his right was securely wrapped around Sam's cock, slowly guiding the black tip into Jason's ass.

Jason moaned when he felt that blistering tip slid between his ass cheeks and tease his tight pucker. His moan was cut short when another hot rod was slowly slipped into his muzzle and a drip of precum dropped onto his tongue. The salty taste mixed with his mate's mouth-watering, steak-like scent drove his instincts into overdrive. He gobbled up that cock greedily, shoving his muzzle down its titanic length and pressing his nose into his mate's brown crotchfur, taking a long, good sniff of his mate's euphoric scent.

At the same time, he felt Sam's cock slide into his ass, pushing him wide open. His moan was muffled against Brett's cock the twin sensations from both ends of his body send wave after wave of pleasure washing through him. Brett's right hand slipped behind his head, holding it in place as his Rottweiler began rhythmically thrusting into his muzzle, blasting him with squirt after squirt of precum. At the same time, Sam - under the guidance of Dan - began squirting his ass full of the natural lube.

It was something else entirely... Twin pleasures for two of the three men he loved most in the world...

... all he needed now was -

"AH!" he gasped, Brett's cock shoving down his muzzle and making his gag slightly. He felt something else squeeze in beside Sam's cock and he dared a glance behind him. Dan was positioning himself beside Jason, his cock sliding in right beside Sam's as he crawled wrapped his arms around Jason's torso, one hand wrapping around Jason's cock and the other teasing Jason's left nipple.

Taking his grandfather's lead, Sam did the same. He repositioned himself to Jason's right, driving his cock further into Jason with the movement. His long, muscular legs both wrapped around Jason's thighs while his arms curled around Jason's torso, one hand tweaking Jason's ultrasensitive nipples.

It was sensory overload.

Two cocks driving into his ass like twin jackhammers...

Another cock thrusting down his throat, a massive hot sausage filled with succulent juices...

His son and dad on either side of him, caressing his body...

... and Brett... Brett his mate in front of him, the epitome of his love...

It was perfect.

Staggered moans escaped him as Brett's thrusts increased in pace. What pain in his ass was quickly overwhelmed by the sheer pleasure of having both Sam's titanic foot-long cock press up against Dan's thick, muscular, vein-crossed member. They were thrusting into him one after the other.

When one pulled out for another thrust, the other would dive back in.

Dan's hand was running up Jason's member in tandem with the thrusts, Jason's precum pouring all over his father's hand and the bed, mixing his scent with that of his father's, son's and mate's. The aroma was otherworldly. Brett's hearty, natural odour mixed with Dan's electric musk, Sam's clear, crystal-like scent and Jason's own heady fragrance filled the room alongside wither their symphony of moans, groans and grunts.

Sam suddenly changed tactics. He dipped his head under Jason's arm, positioning his lips right above Jason's nipples and let out a tender lick against those sensitive, fleshy nubs.

"Oooh - ah!" Jason moaned, a new wave of pleasure shooting through him.

Sam dove right in, wrapping his lips around Jason's nipple and suckling on it tenderly, occasionally lashing out with his long, flat tongue.

Jason shuddered with every move. His eyes rolled back into his head as he felt Brett's cock dig deeper and deeper into his muzzle, pushing down at the back of his throat. He forced down his gag reflex and drove his tongue to explore every inch of that fantastic member. In his mind, he was painting a picture of that dog meat using only the sensations he got from his tongue. Those thick, pulsing veins, the pink, meaty length and to the tampering point dripping with his mate's seed.

Perfection.

Dan grunted softly as he hilted into Jason, his thrusts becoming feverish and his grunts growing deeper and deeper until they became a constant growling. His hand dropped down from Jason's nipple, falling to Jason's ballsac and massaging the furry orbs to pump out every last drop of cum as Jason felt his knot forming from the pleasure.

His moans became more than just lustful.

They became desperate.

He wanted to cum... He wanted his family to cum...

To cum into him.

His son, his dad and his mate...

The three men he loved... to all send their seed shooting into him.

Sam suddenly let out a long moan as his cock slipped to the hilt right beside Dan's. His pounds became longer but faster and the pain was gone. Jason only felt true pleasure as both his dad and his son's cocks slipped into him and then longing when they pulled out again.

The gap between each pleasure and hunger became shorter and shorter. As the seconds ticked by, he could sense a thick, bulbous growth start to form at the base of all three cocks surging into his body. Suddenly, the thrusts came only at half a second each. Brett's precum grew thicker and thicker, pouring down Jason's throat like warm, salty milk that started to take on a gooey consistency.

"Oh god!" Brett cried. "I'm... I'm gonna cum!"

"D - D - Dad!" Sam roared before thrusting himself fully into Jason, his knot popping right in.

"Jason!" Dan howled giving one powerful trust and driving his own knot into Jason, pushing Sam's huge foot-long cock deeper into Jason.

At the same time all four of them let out an ear-splitting howl as their four cocks came simultaneously.

Jason's howl didn't last as Brett's cock was shoved right down the back of his throat stopping all gag reflexes and blasting liquid fire down his throat in wave after wave of spasms. Jason felt similar spasms shake his rear as Dan and Sam shuddered wildly, their own cocks spraying their seed into his ass.

A beautiful union of love filled him.

The molten pleasure shot up from both ends of his body, sliding down his throat and driving up from his ass to meet directly in the middle... at his heart.

The three men he loved... completed him... If it wasn't enough that he had pulled himself from a shattered soul, not there was a thick adhesive that would forever hold him together. Nothing would tear him apart anymore because he knew that these three men... Brett, Dan and Sam... would be always be in his heart.

His own pleasure was little compared to this realisation.

Even as he empties his balls onto the bed and collapsed from exhaustion into the thick, pool of his own seed, Jason's mind and heart was reeling with the sheer knowledge that his family had come together, as one, in him.

Jason blinked and his vision returned... He felt Sam's arms wrap tenderly around him, coming face to face with his son. Their noses touched and for a second, Sam looked shocked. Then he grinned that brilliant, heavenly grin and he turned his head, their muzzles meeting in a tender kiss. Jason felt Dan's arms curl around them both from behind... and Brett rest behind Sam, arms looping around them as well.

Slowly, Sam broke the kiss.

"Best... present... ever."
