My alarm woke me up in a rough manner as I was just moments ago having a pleasant dream of raptors and everything else involving them. But when my alarm went off, I was jerked awake by the two droms being jerked awake themselves and I was suddenly crushed by the two flailing bodies as they tried to wake up in a sudden rush, potentially thinking they were in danger. But after a few seconds of flailing they both realized that I was mashed into the bed, mainly by Vex pining my body.

With both droms climbing out of bed, grumbling and growling as they didn't want to get out of bed and I don't blame them as I didn't either. Vex snorted and grumbled at me but I was too tired to actually answer him and went into the bathroom to check in on my appearance. Thankfully I looked no different than yesterday, thought I did notice that now my pubic hair was both purple and meshed with soft down feathers like what was going on with my hair. But I also noticed that my nails, both toenails and fingernails both looked like they had a point to them as well as having a darker tint to them. After exiting the bathroom Vex was still standing there looking upset and he snorted at me. I looked at him and yawned before crossing my arms while I slowly started grabbing my clothes and getting dressed. A simple button up shirt with a tank top underneath and black pants.

"Sorry about the early wakeup Vex. But I have to go out and get a check up with whatever is going on with me." I yawned again, honestly the idea of getting back in bed looking better than going to the doctors, well doctor and vet. Vex huffed and grumbled some more before walking out of the room, he was obviously not happy at the moment, great....angry Alpha.

I followed him out of the room and into the kitchen and living room. Adler was forcing the twins to get up, nudging them and barking at them while Red hissed, Rose was barely making an effort to move, lazy ass. Vex was still huffy about getting woken up by my alarm and was probably mad at me by default. I let the big blue raptor be pissy as I started getting breakfast ready while trying to go over what I was going say to Jessica and Rachel today. It wasn't going to be an easy write off of how and why I look so different now. It was going to be a long day and I wasn't looking forward with it. The two doctors were definitely different and I'm sure as I was going to get a tongue lashing from both. Jessica Marlow was the human doctor who works here often, though she also volunteers at the hospital in Bastion City. From what I heard, as I've thankfully haven't had to visit her often, she was a general practitioner and trauma surgeon for sometime before taking the job to work here at the Ranch. Rachel Gordon was former Army veterinarian, so she was always more upfront and a bit brash everytime I saw and spoke with her. But she was also pretty nice most of the time too. I sat everyone's bowls down and took my spot on the couch and of course everyone joined me there. The combined human and drom food helped calm my nerves and fill my aching stomach which felt nice. But now I needed to convince them to come with.

"Look Vex.... Alpha...I'm sorry for making you get up early today." After calling him Alpha he definitely paid a bit more attention."But...I need a huge favor from you... honestly from you all." They all glanced at me with some amounts of curiosity.

"I'm going in for a checkup because I'm.... obviously looking and acting less human and more raptor like you guys. I'm not mad, far from it actually. But I need to make sure that not only my body isn't going to crap out on me, but also to make sure this thing isn't contagious. I don't care if I...go full raptor in the end, as long as you guys don't treat me any differently than you do now, but other people won't like it like I do. What I'm trying to get at is....I think it would be best if you guys came with me." There were a variety of looks I got was expected. Rose looked bored, Red just snorted, Adler looked a bit afraid, and Vex didn't look any happier. I let out a sigh, knowing how difficult this was already going to be. I figured if I could talk with Vex, he could probably convince the others.

"Please? I....fine I admit that I'm scared about what I'm going to possibly hear. Both about my... condition and about how they'll take to our relationship. But they may need your help with figuring this out. I'll settle with just you coming along Vex. I just...would like my Alpha to be there with me." He looked at me while I gave him pleading eyes, something I don't think I've done since I was a little kid with my grandparents, but he let out a huff that's close to a sigh as a raptor could get, long and drawn out. He then started barking at the others and they all had a bit of an upset frown but then talked back at him and the back and forth continued as breakfast came to a close. I decided to do the dishes after I got back I got my final things needed and was standing by the door as Vex lead the others behind him.

"They all agree to come with? I don't want to force them to come just because of you. Especially you Adler."He chirped at me as I called him out."I know you still don't like humans that much, you can stay if you really don't want to go." But...he shook his head, brave bastard actually wanted to be there at least for me, that warmed my heart. Vex used his head to nudge my back and pushing me towards the door so I got the message and we all stepped outside. The sun was out and while it was still damp and soggy, the ground was already looking less flooded and rained on than yesterday. I had decided to wear a light jacket and my beanie to cover myself up as much as possible so no one pointed out my different look. Red immediately ran over to the ATV, he loved cars for some reason, always tried climbing in them and on them. He chirped and looked at me, expecting me to get on and start it up. But I shook my head.

"No Red not today. It's nice outside finally and we've all been locked up indoors for long enough. We're walking there, it'll be good for us all." Rose let out a whine, of course but I ignored her. Vex let out a snort but he followed behind me as we all started heading down the road. It was about a mile and a half stretch before we would reach Medical and the Paddocks. But as we walked I was looking around, the open air felt great and so did the sun. I had this.... strange urge to run.

"Err.... anyone want to run? It's nice out and all." Vex looked at me from my left and gave me a grin. Then he gave a loud bark and the bastard took off in a sprint as the other raptors took off as well leaving me in the dust, even Rose who was the slowest, was faster. I ran after them, and I was suddenly realizing how quickly I was actually able to catch up to Vex and the others. We were in a dead sprint trying to out run each other in a race. I'm not sure how fast we were all going but all I know is that we passed someone just cruising up the road on an ATV who looked damn surprised to see a human keeping up with 4 raptors right up there with him running like they were chasing him down. The large cluster of buildings were coming up quickly and soon the run slowed to a fast jog then to a brisk jog and then finally slowed down to a normal walk. The others did the same and finally the fun was over but Vex looked at me, seemingly no longer upset like earlier, and walked up to push his head into my chest.

"That was fun! I....I didn't realize how fun running like that was!" I said with a panting gasp, but I didn't feel winded nearly as bad as I probably would. I don't run usually, had a few track laps during gym in school that I had to do then but even then I was a huffy puffy mess afterwards. Now...right now I felt like I could do that again and again. I patted Vex's neck and did the same with the others for good measure. Rose looked more out of breath than I was and I just laughed internally. We all continued our way to the paddocks and more importantly Medical. The building was always usually busy with various people coming and going, often times it was deliveries but then it was also people coming in for a variety of things, sometimes medications for themselves or the raptors, checkups, just tons of stuff. I had to leave everyone outside for the moment while I went in the main office section to hopefully just say that I was to meet with Rachel and Jessica. The two receptionists were busy but one looked up and waved me over.

"Can I help you Alex?"

"Uh yeah I'm supposed to meet with Rachel and Jessica. Tim's orders." I hoped that it was enough and I didn't need any more questions. She nodded and then picked up a phone and dialed a number. She talked for a moment or two while I simply glanced around at the various pictures on the walls, just decorative stuff while little importance, like why was there a picture of the Blue Hole? We're in Colorado?

"Ok Alex they're both free. Tim's also already here. Just go around to the side where you can bring in the raptors, I'm sure you know where it is." I thanked her and left the office and got everyone's attention as we went around the left side of the building where there were sliding doors that led into rooms for drom checkups. Obviously the signs of going to vet made everyone take pause but I ushered them onwards and I found one of the doors opened. Most of these rooms were quite spacious and have various equipment for restraining raptors for a variety of reasons, and deep in my mind I had strange lewd ideas of raptor bondage, but I shook my head. All of us stepping inside there at the far end of the room were two women and Tim. Tim was dressed in a more professional looking suit with black pants, honestly it was a little unlike him. It was easy to tell the two women apart. Jessica was tall with dark blonde hair and she was dressed in grey scrubs. Rachel was short, a bit stocky but most of it was muscle, and had dark brown almost black hair and she was dressed in green vet scrubs, not sure what the difference between vet scrubs were honestly. But the moment that Tim saw us all his face lit up.

"Hey there! Glad you made it Alex. And I see you managed to get everyone to come along." I greeted him with a firm handshake and he actually shook his hand a bit after letting go."Jeez got a vice grip now." The two doctors turned to face me finally.

"Alex, glad to see you again." Jessica gave me a smile.

"Same here Jessica, and you too Rachel." I looked at the other lady.

"So what's this all about?" Rachel asked crossing her arms, straight to the point."Tim was all.....weirded out yesterday then had us both sign fucking NDAs. So what's going on? And....the hells up with your eyes?" I was going to say something but Tim cleared his throat.

"That's part of it actually. Alex you might as well just take the hat off and show them. I can't stay long as I'm being dragged into a video conference." He grumbled, ah that explains the outfit. I let out a sigh and felt eyes on me as I took my beanie off and if course there had to be at least one or two feathers that came out and fluttered to the ground. The two doctor's eyes both widened and stared at me. I heard Vex make a few chirps at me and I glanced over at him. Red and Rose were both laying down on the concrete floor being lazy like usual. But Adler had his head low and was trying to hide behind Vex's body, I don't blame him.

"Ok what the hell is this?" Rachel just blurted out. "I don't know really." I said."I woke up a few days ago with an extremely itchy scalp only for these down feathers to be growing in. And the eye thing was also part of it. I dunno what's going on so Tim thought it would be a good idea to come in and have you guys take a look." Tim was rubbing the back of his neck as Jessica gave him a sideways glare.

"Well he's smart to have you come in. Now please come over here and take a seat." Jessica and wheeled in an office chair, not the standard medical chair but it'll work. I took my jack off and sat it on a near by counter as I took a seat. Soon I was swarmed by the two as they looked at me all over, shined lights into my eyes which was irritating, looked in my mouth, and of course poked at my hair.

"I really can't understand what the hell this is."Rachel said shaking her head."You're like.... turning to a raptor."

"Yep...pretty much." I said plainly.

"How is that even possible really?" Jessica then looked at Tim."He told you yesterday you said. And do you know what happened to him?"

"Eh....no....just an idea really. Alex sorry but you're gonna have to come clean at this point." He looked at me with sorry eyes. I let out a groan.

"I've been having sex with them all."I gestured a hand towards the raptors in our presence and the looks I got from both ladies was about what I expected, slight disgust and disappointment. Not that I really cared at this point.

"I fucking knew it." Rachel grumbled."Seriously though? You've been fucking them?"

"Yes I have."

"Fucking gross." I heard Jessica mutter to herself."And you knew about this?" She then turned to Tim who shrugged.

"And your point is? Yeah I knew. But he's not hurting them, though the whole raptor turning thing is definitely new." Tim then got a call from his phone and he had to answer it. After a minute he hung up and let out a groan."Fuck me, I've gotta go. They're waiting for me on the conference. Let me know what happens. And Alex, take care of yourself." And Tim left grumbling about meetings and such leaving me alone with the doctors, though I felt safe as I had my pack here to protect me. Jessica and Rachel both looked at me and then at the raptors.

"Alright. Look, I'm not going to....say anything about this. Right now I think we should focus on looking Alex over." Rachel said pinching her nose a bit."Jessica go ahead and look him over. Alex, since what you've just admitted, I have to look your raptors over, ok?" I simply nodded as Jessica was pulling out a blood pressure cuff and strapping it around my arm. Rachel stepped towards the droms only for Vex to stand up tall and stare at her. But the short Army woman wasn't fazed by him and started talking with him as if she's known him all his life. That was one of her better qualities, treating the animals she cared for as actual people, and with how intelligent droms were, they appreciated it alot. While she was giving them all a once over, though Adler was trying to hide still, Jessica was writing things down and took the cuff off me.

"Ok your blood pressure is higher than normal, are you feeling any pain or uncomfortableness in your chest? Any feelings in your left arm?" Ah, so now my vitals are going to be wrong now.

"No I feel fine. Heartbeat feels normal, I'm breathing fine." She pulled out a stethoscope and started listening to my chest and my back. "Ok, you sound fine. Heartbeat sounds healthy and so do your lungs. Could you stand up please, and disrobe? I just want to check everything." I nodded and stood up and took my clothes off, though I left the purple collar on obviously. The sight of the collar caught Jessica off guard."Um....why are you wearing a collar?"

"A what? A collar?" Rachel said from across the room.

"It's a raptor collar and I feel comfortable wearing it. Just ignore it." I said. Jessica mouthed something but didn't say anything till her eyes widened at all the scars and bite marks all over my body. Trophies of my pack. She looked very concerned however.

"Jesus Christ, what the fuck have you been doing with them?" I simply smiled at her.

"They can get a bit rough. Mostly Vex, he likes to make sure I know who's in charge." Jessica looked over to Vex and Rachel, the latter was currently giving Rose a bunch of belly rubs while the drom was purring with content. Vex however looked at Jessica before giving her a grin and a wink, which seemed to freak her out a bit.

"I....ok....so you're not hurting then right? These scars look completely good, healed over well." She brushed a finger over the bite mark Vex gave me when he became Alpha. I held that one in high regards, Alpha gave me that one as a reminder that I was his.

"No I feel fine." Jessica let out a breath before continuing to look me over, took my height and my weight. She was surprised that the carpets matched the drapes and I fought the urge to blurt out a corny joke. Overall I was more worried about how Adler was doing as Rachel was very gingerly looking Adler over as he simply stood there shaking slightly, Vex was letting him lean against him. It was sweet at least. Jessica was finished writing everything down before clearing her throat.

"Ok I've gotten all of the normal things finished. It seems that you've gained some height. Your chart before said that you were 5'9" but now you're up to 6'4". Weight seems to have stayed mostly the same with the added bonus that it appears that you've gained some amount of muscle mass. Other than your blood pressure and temperature being high, you look physically ok. I would like to try and get some samples from you if you don't mind. Blood, hair, feather, saliva, and maybe even a urine sample if you're willing."

"Yeah that's fine." I nodded at her and she gave me a faint smile.

"If I would have known ahead of time I would have gotten the radiology team prepared to have you scanned." She looked over at Rachel then at one of the things in the room, the portable CT scanner used for droms."Hey Rach, you done already? I need you as a soundboard."

"Yeah yeah hold on." She gave Vex one last pat on his side and walked back over where we were then she got a good look at my body, which I was still naked."Holy shit, damn. You weren't kidding Jess."

"Exactly. So what's your verdict on his raptors?"

"They look happy and healthy. Well Rose is still fat, but she always was. Adler still looks a bit slim but from what I've been told is that he's eating well so it's just a matter of keeping his weight in check. So overall, as much as I don't like the....idea of him sleeping with them but they look fine. So what was it that you were wanting?" Rachel crossed her arms but obviously kept looking at me.

"I was wondering if the portable CT scanner you use on the raptors would possibly work on him?"

"I dunno, probably not. Not worth using really. By the way I heard you want blood samples from Alex here. I'd probably like to get some samples from his raptors as well in case this...whole raptor thing is something they could pass on. Just to be safe." Jessica nodded her head in agreement.

"Give me a few to go grab my things and I'll be back to get his blood drawn." Jessica didn't wait for a reply before she walked off and out of the room. Rachel and I shared a glance.

"If you're wanting to get blood from them you'll need my help." I said."I'm afraid that Vex may get upset, but he'll at least listen to me."

"You know what to do?" She asked.

"Yep. Had to learn in college." She nodded and waved me to follow her. I went over to the droms while she got the needles, tubes, and stuff prepared. I patted Vex's neck and he purred and leaned into me a bit."Vex.... you're not gonna like this but we need some blood from you and hopefully the others, you can be mad at me later. But I'm going to be doing in. Just... please don't get mad right now." He huffed as Rachel approached but he stood still. I was handed the needle and I gently took Vex's arm and found the vein in the crutch of his arm and stuck it in. He made a small noise but stood still as the small sample bag filled up with red blood.

"So....how are you handling this?" Rachel asked suddenly.

"I'm fine with it honestly. It feels...I dunno.... freeing a bit? I'm not in any pain, just constantly hungry though." I shrugged. "So increased hunger then? You eating enough I hope?" I nodded.

"Yeah I am. Though I've had to eat more, but I've found that mixing human food and drom food together fills me up much better." That caught her off guard.

"You're eating raptor food? The wet raw mash mix?" I nodded again at her and she just shook her head."Why am I not surprised. Well as long as you're getting enough to eat I suppose." After a few more minutes the bag was full and I withdrew the needle and held the spot for a minute or two so that his body would start clotting up. Raptors have incredibly fast healing it seems, not scary fast, but something like getting clawed by another will usually heal up mostly within a few days as long as it doesn't get infected. The next one was Rose and she wasn't happy with it but I just held her while the bag started to fill. I was just calming her down.

"I'd rather not ask honestly but morbid curiosity is killing me, how exactly do you go about having sex with them?" Rachel asked and that caught me off guard.

"It depends on who and what they want. Vex usually is in control and I'm usually face down."

"You let that big fuck mount you? How are you not dead.... actually don't answer that question considering what the hell is happening to you." She shut up after that and we finished up with Rose and moved on to Red. He was more brave but still didn't like it and wanted to move, so I had to hold him tight in order to keep him from running off. Red eventually stayed still long enough for us to fill a bag up and finally it was Adler's turn. I dreaded this and I knew he did too.

"Rachel can you move away. I want him to be as calm as possible." She did so and I walked up and placed a hand on his side."It's ok, just listen to my voice and it'll pass quickly." I continued to speak softly to him as I stuck the needle in his arm and let the blood fill up the bag. He whimpered but placed his head and neck on mine as I massaged his neck while keeping his arm still. He was being much braver than I figured he would which was amazing actually, he wasn't shaking really and soon the process was over and I let him go but I planted a kiss on his snout regardless of who was watching right now.

"Well that was....that was impressive. I remember him just being a shaking ball of terrified but he seems to really like you." Rachel said as I gave her the sample bag."You really love them don't you? Differently than I do because I'm an animal lover, but you actually...love them like an actual.... spouse." I didn't answer but nodded slowly. A moment later Jessica walked back in with a bag of stuff to get samples from me. She waved me back to the chair and I went back and took a seat so this could begin. She drew my blood first into several tubes for various testing but I was just bored really. Next she swabbed the back of my throat and plucked some hair and feathers off my head. I opted out of the urine sample because I honestly didn't need to pee at the moment but she was understanding thankfully. Soon everything was mostly over and the samples would be shipped over for testing, and I was both curious and dreading the results, but they wouldn't at least come back for a day or two.

"So what do you two think?" I asked as I finished getting dressed.

"Well this is extremely bizarre for starters. We find out that you're a freak in both means of the word." Rachel began but Jessica just shook her head at her."But you seem healthy enough. Physically look ok despite the scars."

"Only thing I can say is that you need to watch this closely." Jessica said with a sigh."I honestly can't say anything else because I've never seen something like this before. But please call us or Tim if you begin to start feeling ill or start feeling extreme amounts of pain."

"Understood Jess." I nodded at her.

"And I'm going to write up a set of deliveries for you." Rachel said pulling out a notepad from her pocket."To have extra drom food delivered for you so you can maintain this faster metabolism of yours." Jessica was not here went I told Rachel about the food thing.

"You're eating raptor food!? That's fucking disgusting! You know that it's all raw meat and uncooked right?"

"I'm aware of that. But it tastes fucking delicious and keeps me fuller than several sandwiches would!" I sapped back at her and I could tell Jessica was a bit surprised, but Rachel let laugh.

"Wow... raptor mannerisms on a human. He actually bared his teeth at you Jess. That's fucking fascinating!" I shook my head and looked down a bit feeling embarrassed by that.

"Sorry...sorry that just sorta came out. I'm still figuring this all out."

"It's fine. I was just surprised is all." Jessica shrugged but I could kinda tell that it definitely gave a bit of a fright for about one second. Damn I need to get this under control."Regardless...I suppose nothing about you is now normal at least. If we're going to look at this both from human and drom perspectives, then I should be more prepared next time. But for the time being you still have all of your facilities it seems, hopefully your blood work shows us more about what's going on inside of you. Rachel anything else you should say before we let him go home? I've got a mountain of paperwork to do now because of this."

"Well keep yourself fed. If I had to take a logical guess, your body is craving calories like crazy to keep up with this new metabolism of yours. So like I said I'll have someone deliver more drom food for you to eat, but at least make sure to eat human food too. Any particular flavors you'd want?"

"I dunno, haven't paid too much attention to what flavor was which. Honestly I kinda like the stuff Adler and Vex has, the high protein and high calorie stuff. Not sure what you'd call it really." I scratched my head a bit.

"Alright that's good enough to go on. I'm also going to have you take some supplements too, make sure you're getting everything that isn't in the food itself. And I highly recommend you getting outside as much as possible for physical activities of any kind. Sun would also be good for you too. Other than that..." She paused and looked over at Vex and the others as they were all looking a bit cranky now, tired of being here which I don't blame them either."Just.....keep doing whatever you're doing with them. They are your pack now after all. I guess I should also apologize to you about Adler when you first had him moved to your trailer, he's gotten much better since he first arrived so I owe you an apology." I let out a bit of a chuckle.

"You're cool. But it's not me you should really apologize to, it should be Vex. It was his idea to move him home, I tried to stop him at first but I knew what he was doing was the right thing." She nodded before walking over to Vex and giving him a pat on the side.

"I'm sorry for being angry about you taking Adler home. He looks happier with you all. Take care of him will ya? And take care of Alex too, it seems he has alot going on now." Vex snorted before nodding his head at her and then nudging Rachel's forehead with his snout. Rachel was probably the best person to take care of these creatures, she saw them as people like I do, honestly she probably deserves to go full raptor more than me, she understands them so damn well.

After it was all said and done I was given a box of pills, powders, and lotion (for my feathers of course). I signed a bunch of paperwork and then I was free to leave with my pack. I decided against running back home and just enjoy the sunny day, though I could still feel the humidity from the storms during the weekend. It was a quiet walk, peaceful, and with some of my concerns at least quelled for now I was happy and content. I was also extremely proud of everyone and their behavior at the Vet's, even though it was mostly about me, the blood work was going to be important, and I really was proud of Adler for being brave today. He hid a bit but didn't freak out or pass out when Rachel was near him. Vex looked honestly more happy now too, maybe he was worried about me like I was about myself, honestly I still expect him to hold a grudge against me for the rest of the day and the prospect of Alpha's punishment too. But the others looked tired, which I also felt. The IV spot on my arm where Jessica had drawn blood had healed up already which definitely meant that I had to some degree, a more durable body now.

Once we all got home it was close to noon so I prepared everyone lunch while Rose was already wanting to go back to bed, but Red was energetic and was dashing around with "raptor zoomies", and knocked something over in the office, probably a camera stand. I just shrugged and continued getting lunch ready before giving everyone their food, plus some bonus cuts of steak as a reward for being so good today, it's the least I could do. I ended up making sandwiches with drom food in the middle along with cheese, lettuce, and some tomato. There was also some ham slices too, and I have to say it was downright delicious combined together like that. Vex seemed to agree after taking a bite out of one of them before just snagging it entirely, eh whatever. We ate in silence before I forced everyone outside for some needed exercise, and I joined in the racing around the new trailer for an hour or two before we all were hot and sweaty, I had lasted longer than I thought I would racing against full grown raptors but I out lasted Rose which wasn't much of a feat but I'll take whatever little wins I can. Everyone was inside for the rest of the day gulping down water and Rose settled down for her afternoon nap, Red seemed to want to do the same. Honestly it looked like everyone wanted to nap some so I took this downtime to start working on that video. I got settled into the crappy office chair and started the tedious effort of editing the porn we made yesterday.
