Dancing Tails
A small story to get back into the swing of things. Life had kept me busy for quite a while and I had avoided writing for some time. I've got a few ideas now I'd like to put to paper, and after some research I may continue some of the projects I had been itching to do at the start of the year. I'm not sure when I'll publish again but I'll strive to make it worthwhile. With nothing more to add, please enjoy.
Johnny watched the tiger fly across the stage, the light reflecting on his bright orange fur. The tiger shifted from foot to foot with supreme ease, deifying gravity with every step. His tail followed him close behind, twisting and bending like the tiger’s body. Johnny could never do those moves, even when the tiger offered to help. And yet the man could make them look so easy, so natural. Not like the product of weeks of practice as the gorilla had seen. No, once the tiger got on stage, his every move and breath was natural, easy, captivating. Johnny could never get enough, no matter how many times he watched it.
Johnny gulped as a flash of white brought his eyes to the firm stomach of the dancer. Memories of late night exploring that snowy field flooded his mind. They naughty promises shared behind closed doors rang in his ears. Johnny bit his lips, the hardness in his boxers betrayed his intentions to all who would look his way. And that sent shivers down Johnny’s spine.
The crowd gasped as the tiger leapt and landed on the shoulders of his bull partner. Johnny grinned when the crowd gasped. His tiger had jumped and against all odds, stood on his hands on the bull’s horns. Cheers and whistles rang throughout the joint as the bull paraded the tiger across the stage.
Johnny held his breath when the tiger’s back tensed, his long tail curled on itself and the bull’s muscles bulged. All the failures of the tiger ran through the gorilla’s mind, all those nights holding cold compresses against sore muscles and the whispered reassurances to a sobbing tiger. Johnny dug his nails into his moments before the tiger jumped. His body twisted and spun in the typical feline fashion. He landed on his paws, his chin grazing the floor while he looked into Johnny’s eyes. There was an unnerving confidence in those green pools, sprinkled with a passionate gold. His tiger rose up slowly, teasing the audience with quick shows of the stripes beneath his costume.
The bull approached him from behind and his hands slid through the tiger’s body in a way Johnny was intimately familiar. A rush of heat came to Johnny’s cheeks, as his tiger winked at him. The gorilla hid behind the cover of his hands but his eyes still caught a grin in the bovine’s snout. A thousand jumbled thoughts came to Johnny’s mind. His heart beat faster than an excited drum and his rod throbbed with approval.
The tiger smiled before Johnny had recovered a playful and mischievous smile. He leaned back against the firm chest of the bull and traced the contours of his neck with curious hands. Johnny didn’t miss the surprised eyes from the bull nor the impatient flicks of his tail. The two dancers slid across the stage with renewed purpose, their bodies rubbing against each other in a sensual dance. Johnny couldn’t look away, he couldn’t calm down his heart. His world had been taken over by the tiger and he loved it. Loved him. And he needed to have him in his arms again.
Johnny checked his wristwatch for the tenth time. His tiger had promised to meet him in his suite after the show. The gorilla wondered how much longer he would need to wait. He had snuck in as soon as those stripes had been hidden by the rest of the troupe. Johnny had been dutifully watching the door for any sign of his beloved. The gorilla’s finger played with the neck of his shirt as his mind wandered the familiar halls of doubt. His foot tapped to the rhythm of an unheard song.
The gorilla’s face lifted when a click came from the door. Another click and light poured from the door, revealing the handsome tiger he had been waiting for. A coy smile appeared on the tiger’s face while his tail swung lazily behind him. Johnny’s shoulder eased down, his nerves finally relieved from duty. The tiger closed the distance between them with confident steps. But Johnny could see the signs of exhaustion cropping up on the feline’s body. Johnny took the tiger’s hand on his own, the gray of his skin matched by the white and black of the tiger’s. The gorilla pulled the tiger into his embrace, his lips easing into a smile. His partner smiled back, a hint of mischief glinting in his white fangs. Their lips met for a kiss. A gentle and soft gesture after a long day. Johnny’s heart beat faster, his arms pulling his tiger’s chest against his. The dancer’s hands caressed the gorilla’s neck as his tongue begged for entrance to the gray lips.
Johnny was quick to grant it, letting his partner set the rhythm. Their tongues danced slowly around each other, their hands tracing soothing lines over tired muscles. Time stopped for the two lovers while their blood grew hot with love and desire. The tiger was the first to break the kiss, and soft panting echoed in the empty room. Despite himself, his mouth opened in a yawn. Johnny could not suppress a quick laugh, earning an embarrassed look from his lover. A soft caress from the gorilla was all it took to replace the heat in the tiger’s cheek with a sweeter one. The exchange of a few murmured words soon undid the dancer’s facade. The tiger sighed as he rested his face in the gorilla’s chest, his muscles resting for the first time since the show started. Johnny’s fingers traced lazy paths down his tiger’s back, unwinding whatever knots they found. His tiger leaned in on the touch, a soft purr signaling his pleasure.
Johnny got into a rhythm, caressing and massaging his lover in tandem. His tiger yawned, shifting until he found the perfect spot to nap. Johnny chuckled, placing a kiss on his lover’s head. An old lullaby cam to Johnny’s lips as his tiger relaxed against him.
