It all Started with a Second Coffee Ch 5
Hughie is a hyena who has noticed that he's a bit larger than he used to be. However, he enjoys the perks of his job too much to make any changes to his diet. Meanwhile, his best friend Gary, a red fox, would prefer to see a few more pounds added to Hughie's growing frame.
Chapter five sees Gary delve further into his lust for a fatter Hughie, and the fallout of Hughie's decision to move in with Gary leads to a question of love.
The end of the month would be coming quickly for Hughie and Gary, but their even hastier decision the previous night led to some consequences the next morning. The most notable, and most aggressive, came from Hughie's mother. Ms. Silva was less than enthused to learn that she would be denied a sizable source of income, and whatever façade she had been using to coax her portly son back home evaporated instantaneously.
Gary, having spent the night at Hughie's apartment, awoke the morning after to the shrill voice of Ms. Silva as she cursed her son for his disloyalty and breaking their agreement. Hughie had made the unfortunate error of video calling her, and she unsurprisingly attacked Hughie's weight. After thoroughly chastising him about his second chin and flabby man boobs, Ms. Silva moved to personal attacks, calling her son a lazy, freeloading glutton who was unrecognizable to the son she once knew. Hughie's ears were pinned to his forehead. It was brutal, and the hyena's body slouched more and more as he paced around the living room.
Gary grimaced at the beratement that he was a witness to, and made the untimely move to adjust his body and poke his head over the top of the couch just as Hughie turned his phone. Ms. Silva's voice raised an octave as she included Gary in her tirade. Blaming Gary for stealing her son and corrupting him with his degenerate lifestyle was just the tip of the iceberg. As the call reached the half-hour mark, Hughie was sitting on the couch next to Gary with tears in his eyes. Every single mistake in his life was thrown back in his face and every perceived slight was meticulously recounted. Every minute detail that Ms. Silva remembered was used to degrade her son, who looked broken and shaken to his very core.
At the hour mark, Ms. Silva finally seemed to reach her concluding statement. She denounced her son and until he came home with a nice, proper girl, he would be unwelcome in her home. With a final remark about how he would need to lose a lot of weight to look more attractive, she said that she would pray for him to renounce his sinful life and ended the call.
The room was silent. Hughie was no longer audibly crying, but the tears still coated the fur of his cheeks. His eyes were closed and his head was in his paws.
Gary found himself rubbing Hughie's back, feeling the warmth that radiated from his fur through his shirt. He didn't particularly know what to say in a moment like that, but he also imagined that there was little he could say to someone who had just been disowned by their own mother.
After a few moments of consideration and allowing the heavy air in the room to lift, he spoke. "I'm here for you, Hugh."
The hyena raised his head and turned to his best friend. A brief moment was shared between the two in silence before Hughie pulled Gary in for another hug. It was just as crushing as it had been last night, but it was a feeling that the fox would give anything and everything to experience on a regular basis. The warmth of the hyena's body was like a heated blanket turned up to the maximum setting. While only lasting a brief moment, it was impactful, and the fox took the opportunity to feel around the rolls of fat on Hughie's sides and back. His flat and lithe stomach pressed against the doughy and soft gut that protruded from the hyena's middle, and Gary could feel like erection growing with each millisecond.
So many of the thoughts he had agreed to give up on just a few weeks ago were resurfacing with renewed vigor. Gary had been given a taste of what hugging a truly fat individual was like, and he craved for more. He wanted the rolls of lard to envelop and smother him. He wanted the sweat of sugar and grease to coat his fur and mark him as he was pinned down by a hyena that lacked the strength or desire to move his obese form. He wanted the heaviness on his chest, like a weight that was going to break his ribs.
He wanted Hughie to be bigger. He wanted Hughie to be the fattest hyena that ever lived. He needed to feel Hughie grow on top of him, until he could no longer feed himself. And then he would be the one who forced more and more down Hughie's throat, until the end.
God, his whole body was hot. He was sweating just as bad as the hyena pressed against him.
Gary pushed against Hughie until the hyena let go of him. He stood up, before quickly turning and moving away as the tent in his boxers was overwhelmingly obvious. "I've uh, gotta go to the bathroom real quick." He grimaced at his lame excuse and shaky voice as he headed across the living room.
He chanced a sideways look at Hughie as he walked behind the couch and saw that the hyena was refusing to look at him, only leading to further panic at the situation. Was Hughie weirded out and now uncomfortable with staying with him? Was he going to freak out about that moment? It was obvious that his boner was the result of Hughie hugging him, right?
Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit. Gary was hyperventilating in the bathroom, the arousal quickly dissipating and fear taking hold. He turned on both handles of the sink faucet and cupped water in his paws, splashing his face.
Looking up at the mirror, he saw the tension in his face muscles and forced himself to relax his jaw. Noticing the drops forming on his earrings made his mental focus shift away from his love of his best friend to the morning's critiques of his appearance. He didn't think of himself as a Satanist or Devil worshiper and he didn't imagine that guys with piercings would still be such an issue. And she never forgave him for introducing Hughie to fur dyeing, despite the fact that they both only dyed the fur on their head, each coloring theirs to match the other. Gary dyed his tuft amber and Hughie dyed his mane burgundy.
He and Hughie's mother lacked nearly any common interests, which now seemed to include Hughie. Gary's love for his best friend grew by the minute, while hers seemed to shrink. He loved to see the extra pounds on his frame, while she made it clear this morning that she hated it.
Some of the other complaints she had of him were less than connected to reality, but they also weren't really that big of a deal. What did it matter if he liked to wear a sleeveless undershirt under dressier clothes and what kind of message did that send to others?
The sound of a door closing caused Gary to snap out of his self-pity and turn off the faucet. He opened the door to see that Hughie had left the couch. Something was baking in the oven. As Gary walked back into the living room, his eyes caught a cardboard box full of clothes on the floor near the wall. Sitting on top, almost teasingly so, was a jockstrap. It was begging him to come closer, beckoning him to pick it up and inhale the sweaty aroma and--
The door to Hughie's room opened, scaring the fox. In a much larger shirt and sweatpants than just a few minutes ago, the hyena emerged.
"I thought I'd make some breakfast with the leftover stuff I have in the fridge." He avoided looking at Gary directly. "I uhm, would you like to stay? I know you have to work later today, but I already took off and I have to finish packing and you know, but if you want to, that's fine, too."
How could Gary ever turn down the opportunity to watch the hyena eat? He'd been dying to know just how Hughie was putting on weight so fast, and this would be the perfect opportunity to see the live performance.
He smiled at the hyena. "Of course."
As the hyena smiled and walked into the kitchen, Gary groaned internally at his perverted thoughts winning the day. He didn't need to have any reason other than just wanting to spend time with Hughie. Why on Earth would he psych himself up with those thoughts?
If Hughie moving in with him was going to work out, he'd have to reign in his ulterior desires and just try to be normal. Normal did not include the desire to fatten up his roommate. Normal did not include wanting to feed his roommate in bed while fucking him. Normal did not include wanting to tie him up and stuff a funnel down his throat to feed him until he was one bite away from vomiting.
His eyes widened. When did those kinds of thoughts get into his head?
"You coming?" Hughie called from the kitchen.
"Yeah, let me just wash my paws first."
Gary, once again succumbing to his lust, reached down to grab the jockstrap before running to the bathroom. He shut the door behind him and inspected the fabric. The tag read 2XL, but the band was showing signs of stretching. One paw down his pants, he stuck his muzzle in the jock and inhaled. Unfortunately for him, the only scent he found was lavender.
Disappointed, but no less horny, Gary quickly formed a new plan. Dropping his own shorts and boxers to the floor, he decided to try on the jock. While the fabric felt nice against his bits and pieces, it was way too big for his trim build. He was able to fold the band around itself once and make a makeshift tie that more or less held it in place. He turned and looked at his whole body, lifting his tail to check his backside. Even with his tie, the material was loose on his ass cheeks.
He still thought he looked sexy, as evidenced by the tent in his front. It was not just the material, but the fact that Hughie's jock was overwhelmingly so much larger than his body could carry was hot. He was so much smaller than his best friend, and these appeared to be a bit snug on the hyena. He surely wouldn't miss this pair and, before he could change his mind, he put his own underwear and shorts on over the jockstrap.
After washing his paws, Gary emerged from the bathroom to see a smorgasbord of plates of food on the kitchen table. There were pizza rolls, hash brown patties, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage patties, cinnamon rolls, breakfast sandwiches, biscuits and gravy, and fruit. The latter of which seemed a bit out of place, but who was Gary to question what his friend went out of his way to prepare for him? Additionally, the hyena had prepared a large pot of hazelnut coffee. The smell overwhelmed the aroma of the food, but Gary again decided to refrain from complaining.
"I hope it's okay. I wasn't sure how much to make, and I'm trying to get rid of stuff in the freezer and I didn't want you to feel like I didn't give you enough to eat, and I also don't want to..." Hughie spit out excuses and justifications and apologies until Gary could no longer keep up.
It seemed odd to the fox, who couldn't remember the hyena being this nervous around meals and serving food before. He had to wonder if it had something to do with Joel. The more he considered the possibility that Joel was at least partially responsible for this change in behavior was frustrating, but he wasn't sure that bringing it up would lead to anything productive.
With as friendly a smile as he could muster, Gary cut off his friend's fears by sitting down at the table and scooping a large helping of eggs. "This looks great! Thanks so much for cooking!"
Hughie, for his part, quieted down and joined his friend at the table. It wasn't long before the two were back to a lighter mood, the morning's catastrophe of a phone call long behind them. The issue wasn't resolved, and there was a lot that Hughie was bottling up, but Gary was content to let it rest for the moment. They could deal with that another day.
The pair ate while joking and talking about how they were going to get Hughie's stuff into Gary's apartment. Gary finished his plate of eggs and fruit, but it wasn't a moment later when Hughie put down his own knife and fork.
Gary frowned. "You aren't finished already, are you?"
"Yeah," Hughie smiled nervously. "I'm still full from last night." He picked up his coffee mug and took a deep sip.
A growl broke the silence between them.
Gary considered how to approach this topic without betraying himself, but he had a strong suspicion of the source of this hesitation. "You sure? I won't be bothered if you keep eating after I'm done. I can start cleaning the dishes while you finish." It was a good out for both of them, without putting any pressure on the hyena. Gary mentally patted himself on the back for his quick thinking.
"No, I probably..." Hughie trailed off as his stomach growled again. His paltry meal of a single gravy biscuit and a scoop of eggs did little to satisfy his growing body, and it was letting him know. "Well, if you don't think it'll be rude..."
Gary was already up and walking to the sink. "Not in the slightest."
Positioning himself to be able to glance at the table, Gary began to scrub the pans in the sink. Each pan he finished wiping and placing in the dishwasher was replaced with a freshly cleared plate from the dining room table. The half dozen hash brown patties went down quickly, followed by the remaining platter of eggs. Greasy bacon met a similar end, as did the dozen cinnamon rolls. The four breakfast sandwiches, from a brand of frozen meals that Gary didn't recognize, caused the hyena some difficulty. His pace slowed considerably as Hughie seemingly reached his limit.
Gary, finished with the dishes in the kitchen, walked over to the table to remove the emptied plates. There were about eight pizza rolls, two sausage patties, and an additional gravy biscuit remaining. Gary picked at the grapes, strawberries and pineapple, figuring that the hyena wouldn't need to worry about finishing those.
"Do you want me to toss the remaining food?" Gary asked while staring at the heaving middle of the hyena's stomach. He was making a calculated risk, and wanted to see how it would play out.
"No..." Hughie breathed out. "Let's just... put it in a container."
Gary frowned. It wasn't the outcome he expected. He'd need to rework his angle right now and figure out a different approach for the future.
"Well, we do need to pack those up at some point today, right? You don't want to have to do another load in the dishwasher."
The heavy breaths out of the hyena sitting at the table conveyed how full he was, and it was turning the fox on in ways that watching him at Pasquale's never did. He needed the hyena to finish the food and stuff his fatty cheeks to the brim. He needed the hyena to be immobilized in his chair, both from fullness and pain. He needed the hyena to eat more.
Gary's erection was fighting against the jockstrap, desperate for attention. His head was consumed by his thoughts of feeding his friend. He was so close to just picking up the food and straddling the hyena and stuffing him himself, jiggling his rolls and grinding against his sweaty, doughing body...
"Okay, yeah. I hate doing the dishes, anyway." Hughie reached for the pizza rolls.
Gary stared at his friend as he forced himself to eat the remaining food. It was enthralling. It was everything he wanted to see and more. Hughie was in clear discomfort and was struggling to finish. His breathing was irregular and sweat was staining his shirt around his sides and neck. God, he looked like such a glutton. And Gary was so close to exploding in his pants.
"There... done..." Hughie wheezed, rubbing his stomach and groaning.
Gary had to bite back a moan. The only way that this situation could be more enticing for the fox would be if Hughie had said 'master' after he finished. He could smell his arousal, and surely Hughie could as well. Gary was too lost in his reverie to care.
Gary leaned over the table and reached for the last of the dishes, ears tuned to listen to the churning protests of Hughie's overstuffed stomach. It was a glorious symphony in the fox's ears, and he moved as slowly as he possibly could to avoid disturbing the hyena.
Unfortunately, his heavenly dream turned into his nightmare scenario as Hughie's paw brushed his tented pants. Gary froze in an icy panic as he thought of anything he could say to get out of this situation, but nothing came to his rescue. There was no way to talk away what just happened. Maybe there was something, but the fox's brain had shut down completely.
"Oh..."
Nothing. Hughie had shut his eyes and was rubbing his gut in distress. His stomach was so distended and filled to the brim. Gary took his chance to move away. Specifically, he took the opportunity to turn around and push his erection down as he walked into the kitchen with the last remaining plates.
After a few more minutes of cleaning and putting away the dishes that did not need to go through the washer, Gary turned around to announce his victory, only to find that the hyena had pulled off his shirt and was gently rubbing his stomach in small, circular movements. He belched and patted his stomach before taking another drink of his coffee.
Gary could not stop the pre that was leaking from his member, and he was enraptured by the sight of the shirtless hyena in front of him. His friend's stomach was so tight and round. It was playing with his mind, his heart, and his cock. But, how? How could he tell his best friend that he was attracted to him stuffing himself and gaining weight?
He needed to find a way through this mental block. Had he not just succeeded the night before? Had he not overcome his fears just hours prior when he invited Hughie to move in with him? Maybe he didn't have to start with that part of his attraction to Hughie. Maybe he could start with just saying that he liked him and maybe they could go out some time for a real date or maybe just to grab a coffee? Maybe it would work out alright or maybe it would work out even better?
Hughie still had his eyes closed, blissfully unaware of the jittery panic that currently enveloped the fox in the kitchen. The debate raged like a war inside Gary's mind, and his distrust of his own ability to avoid catastrophic humiliation was maddening.
But, staring at the hyena just a few feet away from him, Gary knew that he could find the courage. He would find the courage to ask his friend out.
Running out of excuses and distractions, Gary made his way over to the kitchen table and sat down. He pulled out his phone to force himself to stare at something other than Gary's exposed stomach. As he took a peek at the hyena out of the corner of his eye, he realized that his determination was rapidly deteriorating. If he wanted to make this dream a reality, he had to act immediately.
"Hey, Hugh?" He called out.
"Hmm?" Hughie replied with a grunt, his eyes closed.
"Eh... You feeling alright?" He continued to fight against his growing hesitation.
"Argh... Definitely not... Ate way too much. Trying not... to vomit." His breathing was uneven as he chuckled to himself, earning a groan and growl of protest from his gut in response.
Was the timing inappropriate? Most likely. But, do or die. Now or never. Some third figure of speech that was meant to be vaguely inspiring.
"Can I... Uhm-" He took a deep breath. "Do you remember, during our first year, when our economics professor gave us that group presentation for the last unit of the semester? He decided that it would help us learn the material since we weren't going to have an exam that covered it until the final?"
Hughie opened his eyes and focused his attention on the fox across from him. "Yeah?"
"Well, we had to go to the library late at night for the entire week. Which was Dead Week, and basically the entire student body was trying to fight for a computer or table in there. And we had reserved a space in one of the quiet rooms, and this bear was there during our time." Gary snickered. "And this dude tried to tell us that he had double-booked the spot, which wasn't even a thing. And you sat down right at the table and pulled out all of your books and laptop and just ignored him until he started to yell at you for moving his stuff out of the way."
They both started to laugh, until Hughie groaned from the pain from using his stomach muscles with pounds of food weighing against him.
"And then the bear got up and went to complain to the front desk, and he never came back."
They both erupted in laughter.
"Until, like three hours later, when we saw him again in the cafeteria, and he was glaring at us like we were the assholes!"
Gary stopped laughing. "I never would have been able to make him leave. I never would have had the courage. But you, you didn't even acknowledge how rude he was. You just did your own thing, and he got the message." His voice grew quieter. "That was when I really started to see you in a different way. That was when I started thinking of you as this really cool guy, who was confident in himself in ways that I never was. And..."
The moment had arrived. He couldn't look at his friend.
"And... I really like you, Hugh. Like, more than a friend. I want to spend more time with you, and do more with you and..."
Gary, deep in his panicked sweat and fear of rejection, was initially confused by the continued laughter emanating from the hyena. Maybe it was how he dealt with tension or fear as well? Was he mad at Gary? Was he unsure of how to say no to him?
"Oh, wow, Gary!" The hyena continued to rub his gut as he broke off his species' characteristic cackle. "If my stomach wasn't about to burst, I'd get up and hug you. I'm floored by you telling me this. I really needed to hear that today, with the stuff my mom said and all that shit."
Gary was cautiously optimistic. He hadn't been rejected, yet.
"But..."
If the fox's pointed ears could wilt like a starved flower, they would have withered away and fallen to the floor.
"I'm not sure that you'd want to date someone like me. I'm just... a mess. You've seen a bit of it lately. I'm just this walking bag of drama. If it's not my mother, it's my roommate. If it's not him, it's my ex. Maybe if we were still in school, back before I fell into this funk and let myself go..." Hughie gestured to his form.
If only he knew how much Gary preferred him that way. How skinny he was compared to how big Gary wanted him to become.
"I... I like you, too. You've always had my back, unlike my family, or Joel, or Ryan. Even with all my shit and how much I've pushed you away recently..."
Gary smiled and put his paw on Hughie's. "Well, how about we go out and grab a coffee or tea and you can fill me in on all that stuff?"
Hughie smiled back at his best friend, but groaned. "Absolutely not. I'm way too full to go anywhere but the couch, and I haven't showered since yesterday before work. I can smell myself, and I don't think anyone else should be subjected to it."
"I don't mind." Gary blushed as Hughie raised his eyebrows. "Sorry, a bit too much, too soon?" The fox clapped his paws together and stood up. "How about you go sit on the couch and I'll make us another pot of coffee and we can have our first official date here?"
The overstuffed hyena stood up reluctantly. "Sounds good to me!" He belched again as he stretched. "Sorry," He muttered sheepishly.
"I don't mind that, either."
They both laughed again as the aroma of freshly-brewed coffee filled the room.
A little bit cliché at the end of the chapter, but they both deserved it after what had recently happened to them.
