{Yes, it's a crossover episode.}
J and T heard him and looked up from the chickens they had been scenting. They curled their necks and waved to the giant reptile, who waved back and stalked toward them, human keeping pace.
“Who on Earth is that?” Charles said.
“That’s R,” T answered.
“What is he?”
J huffed. “He’s a ra[p]tor, [b]ut I know. He looks like so[m]ething fro[m] another [p]lanet, doesn’t he?”
“Whoa.”
He was the same height as J, but so bulky and muscular Charles wondered how he could walk, let alone move his arms. He came close enough to bump noses with J. T gave him the gesture as well. The human standing beside him nodded to both of them, and then to Charles.
“Hi, J. Hi, T. And you [m]ust [b]e Charles.” R bobbed from the waist, which made his legs bulge obscenely, also somehow making his chest pucker and ripple. “I [w]atched you sniff out T’s heat.”
Charles blushed and laughed. “I did draw a crowd, didn’t I?”
“It is so weird to see a hu[m]an scenting around. I had to co[m]e outside and watch. And then I found out it was T’s heat you were after. We laughed for hours.”
R scented, nosed T on the neck.
“Another two weeks until it’s full. You’re driving all the nor[m]al [m]ales in here crazy, T.”
She huffed at him. “Let the[m] go crazy. They’ll never have [m]e. Well, Charles [m]ight.”
“Only if he survives s[p]arring with twenty others.”
T laughed. R licked his lips in the human’s direction. Charles checked with J. He wasn’t laughing, so Charles stood taller.
“If they’re anything like J, I’ll be fine. Will you be there? And you...?”
“Oh, sorry,” R began, turning to the human next to him. “This is ___. We [m]et at a clu[b]. He saw [m]e dancing and liked [m]y slit so [m]uch he wanted to [m]eet u[p] again. Now he won’t leave.”
___ extended a hand. Charles shook it. “How long have your eyes been open?”
“About two weeks.”
“Same.”
R wrapped a bulging arm around the human, making a show of cupping ___’s rear. “[M]ight take hi[m] to the s[p]arring. Easy to find us. We’ll [b]e the only ones slee[p]ing through it.”
Charles blinked a few times. “Sleeping?”
T bumped him. “Heat never did anything for R. He was way [m]ore interested in his [b]rother.”
R huffed. “___ needs to see a normal s[p]arring. He’s been [p]art of a couple already. Several ra[p]tors fighting over his ass, and he’s content to let everyone use hi[m]. S[m]ells like you’ve been [p]art of at least one, too, Charles.”
Charles smiled. “T is the love of my life. I remember my Shakespeare. Love at first sight was a romantic idea. Never believed in it until I caught T’s scent.” He winked at J.
J bumped his arm with the side of his head. “I’m going to the store u[p] the street for so[m]e [m]ousetra[p]s. It’s what we do when [m]a[mm]als [b]urrow their way in.”
Charles smacked him on the shoulder. “I’ll be at K-mart buying locks for the doors.”
J growled and swiped his claws across the human’s lower back. “Lock [m]e out. I dare you. You’ll wake u[p] with your [b]alls [m]issing.”
Charles punched him across the snout, smiling. “It’ll be hard to reach them while I’m balls deep in T.”
J swiped his chest again, this time tearing his shirt. “That’s not very far in your case.”
Charles grabbed his shoulder and punched him again, teeth bared. J lunged, mouth open, clamping it around the human’s shoulder. The human had a death grip on J’s neck. They stayed there for a moment, and then Charles turned to T. She was standing off to the side, hips shaking, just a little. She was feeling herself.
J was dripping.
R was scenting. He winked at Charles. He could smell the human was hard. “Well, now we’ll _have_ to [b]e at the s[p]arring.”
___ was looking back and forth at J and Charles. “Damn.”
Charles let up on J’s neck. J released his shoulder. The human did not check to see if J had broken the skin, straightening his shirt instead.
T faced R. “J likes having a rival around. This has [b]een interesting.”
J growled as he stepped aside. “Charles is [b]ringing out the [b]est in us. I don’t know why, [b]ut I like what it’s doing to [m]e.”
___ was looking between J’s legs. “It’s not rude to...?”
R rubbed cheeks with him. “Nah, it’s [b]iology. What’s unusual is a hu[m]an getting hard seeing it.”
R’s hand wandered down and gave his crotch a squeeze. He then pulled ___’s shorts down enough to reveal his erection. ___ smacked R’s hand as he pulled them back up. Charles noticed the human feeling the orange raptor’s tricep. R faced J and T.
“See[m]s we [b]oth found a hu[m]an worth kee[p]ing. [M]aybe that [m]ovie was the [b]est thing I ever got you into.”
T huffed. “Al[m]ost [m]akes u[p] for our lines getting cut.”
“Al[m]ost,” J finished.
“I’ll let you get [b]ack to [p]icking out chickens,” R said. “We have food to [b]uy, too. ___ can’t live off my jizz [m]uch longer.”
___ leaned over and kissed R’s snout. “Who needs chicken when I have you?”
R huffed and turned them around. “You like [b]eing ex[p]osed in [p]ublic. Kee[p] acting e[mb]arrassed. I’ll only do it [m]ore. I’ll a[mb]ush you at work and rip your clothes off in front of everyone.”
___ was kissing R as they walked away. Charles couldn’t help but stare at R’s thighs. Each was thicker than ___’s waist.
“Wow.”
T nosed the small of his back. “R was [b]ig even as a hatchling. Then he stared lifting [w]eights, and now he’s obscene.” She shuddered.
“How does no[b]ody see him as a dinosaur? What do they see instead?”
“Not sure, [b]ut he’s [b]een around hu[m]ans long enough everyone should know.”
J: “He likes [b]eing around hu[m]ans. One reason he’s at the clu[b]s all the time. Never seen hi[m] with a hu[m]an this long though. Could [b]e a serious relationshi[p] in the works.”
Charles laughed. “Like ours?”
J growled and poked his chest with a claw as he walked by and joined T sniffing chickens.
*
Charles had to trust them when they said each chicken was different. To him, chicken was a byword for something so flavorless as to be nothing at all, so it baffled him to see so many dinosaurs being picky about which hen to choose, which bull, which buck, which dog, which cat...
Hours later, they met the clerk at the front who had wrapped their selections in standard grocery store packages. They loaded them into backpacks and then walked home. They were too large for him, so Charles carried some of them in his bare arms.
Twenty minutes later, they were home, and the meat was in the refrigerator save for three packages of thin-sliced beef.
“We don’t cook the [m]eat,” J said. “Unless we want it to feel alive. We do have a few pans you can cook yours in if you want. No s[p]ices.”
“Too early in the day to get high,” T said, tearing open a package.
J tore one open and gulped a hunk down, barely chewing it. He eyed Charles the whole time. Blood still running down his muzzle, he nuzzled T, and she licked the blood off him.
Charles pulled the film off the meat and picked up one of the slices. He bit into it and ripped a piece off. The meat was not tender at all. It was like chewing wet leather, but he endured, never taking his eyes off J.
T seemed impressed, for she leaned over and bumped noses with Charles, licking the blood from his chin.
J looked uncomfortable.
Charles got hard, and he took pleasure knowing J could smell that.
J sniffed. He dripped.
This puffed up feeling in his chest... This drive... This urge... Everything he did had the same effect on J. They were pushing each other higher, and it felt amazing. It was all new to him. He had never known he could be so confident in himself. It was how he wanted to feel all the time. Every day. At work and at home.
