Path of the Emerald Maiden is a coming-of-age adventure story with mild horror elements and, due to its nature, contains violent (and occasionally gory) scenes. This erotica seeks to tell a story first and excite in the other way second. You could read the entire thing and enjoy it without even being into the content depicted.

All of the violence depicted within the book is for story purposes only and exists independent of sex scenes, though they may be next to them. You can expect scenes of giant alien-on-person sex, said giant alien harming people, and acts of depravity such as torturous murder. The story is ultimately about the protagonist’s struggle to accept her new life and her journey in the doing, along with the changes that occur within her.

Description:

A young woman from a pre-neolithic society is accidentally whisked away to another world entirely during a raid on a research lab run by alien invaders. Stranded with no friends, badly injured, and no idea where home even is, she's forced to live off the land and learn how to survive in this strange and hostile world.

There's only one slight problem, though.

She's not trapped in this world with them. They're trapped in this world with her.

Disclaimers:

This story contains sexual elements and disturbing themes. The contents aren't purely intended to be pornographic, but some scenes objectively are. This is about a giant monster that eats people, so reader discretion is advised. This story contains vorarephilic themes.

This story will have a very slow and intermittent pace to begin with. True stakes don't really show up until halfway through, though the build-up is always there in the background. This is ultimately not a story of grand adventure and defeating one's enemies to rise to the top, it is the tale of a lost and naive young woman growing as a person and learning new things. It is a personal one concerning her, and thus this story will be told in present-tense first-person.

Chapter 24: Grudge (vg)

BANG!

MY ASS! OWWWW!! MY ASS!!!

A burning-stick shot has lanced out and landed between two plates in my side! Only now that my senses sharpen with the pain do I pay attention and notice the new and familiar scent!

MY PREY!

“Hrrk, HORK, HORRRRK!!"

With one final pulse I'm sent sprawling, free of the monster's gullet! Rolling backwards I nearly fall into the stream, but I quickly sit up and roll again to the side to dodge a flailing claw! I dropped my handgun at some point within the beast, but that matters little, I magdumped the fucker. My ears are ringing and bleeding, and everything else is either subtly numb or outright painful.

In a panic I run for my ATV and grab my rifle. I need to get some distance from this thing; this is what I get for buying a single-shot rifle!

Ears wide for approaching footfalls I rapidly fumble through reloading, hands slick with digestive enzymes and worse. I just need distance. I just need to get the hell away!

Finally I slam the bolt shut, stop, turn, and aim--

Only to find nothing chasing me.

What? Where is it?!

Paranoid, I search all around, staring off into the trees. Which direction is it coming from? Where the fuck is the fucking thing? You're not getting me again you piece of shit!

I turn and begin sprinting back down the game trail, eyes peeled and ears completely deaf. I can feel hyperventilation setting in and my skin is still burning, I need to get this shit off! Like it or not I have to pivot and head back the way I came... through the woods rather than the trail. I'll have a harder time spotting the monster but I have no choice.

Running and tripping through the undergrowth, my paranoia... doesn't come to fruition. Nothing happens. Nothing jumps out at me. A few small animals scurried away having been startled by my passing, but that's it.

...Did I kill it?

When I find the river again I drop my gun and jump in. The cold water instantly cleanses my skin and clothing of the foul muck. After a few moments I claw my way out of the flow and back to shore, where I quickly go and find my gun again back upstream.

The water also had the benefit of shocking me and calming me down. I can think clearer now.

My situation dawns on me.

Holy.

Fucking.

Shit.

...

I just got eaten by an alien.

...

I just got eaten by a motherfucking alien, what the fuck!

That's it, I'm done, I'm leaving, I'm out! Fuck this forest! Fuck the money! I'm out!

My teeth chatter endlessly. Despite being free of the beast for many, many hours my skin feels like it's on fire... at least, where there's still sensation.

So... cold...

I'm lost.

I'll admit it, I'm lost.

I have no idea where I came from. I have no idea where my camp is. I should've put on a brave face and gone back for my ATV. I shouldn't have just started blindly running through the trees. It's super fucking cold out here.

If I could make a fire, I would, but... I've got nothing. My clothes were soaked so I ditched them. I'm naked in the approaching-zero woods with just a gun to my name, dick flapping in the wind.

All I can do is keep moving... if I stop, I'll die to exposure.

Just...

...keep...

...moving.

Just keep moving, Henderson. Just keep moving, you can do this.

You're gonna find your camp--somehow. You're gonna find that fucking monster--also somehow. You're going to kill it. You're going to skin it. You're going to wear its stupid fucking carapace as a suit of armor like some knight having slain the dragon.

Ohhh, but it's just so fucking cold!

A woman's shrieks erupt in the distance, not far from my position down the hillside.

Holy shit! I need to help!

As I pick up the pace, the pain in my flagging muscles does not return, the nerves having long ago succumbed to the chill of the approaching winter. The trees open up and I find myself on a road through the forest.

Finally... civilization. I can see faint light around a bend in the road and I continue towards it. Is that... a truck?

Breathing hard, I run over only to freeze in place! The cabin's lights illuminate a large brown shape, dim in the light, but still very obvious what it is. It's forcing itself into the truck as the woman within shrieks and yells all the more.

I've found you, you piece of shit. Big damn hero time!

Carefully... patiently... I line up my shot...

...and fire.

BANG!

The monster recoils from the vehicle, my shot landing true despite the dim light! As I force my frost-bitten fingers to work the bolt and feed a new round, it turns to me, and begins to charge!

BANG!

It's closing the distance but my second shot nails it on the head, stunning it.

All too soon it recovers, but so do I. I just need to hit it in the eye.

BANG!

I miss my target but chip its face. I turn to flee, as futile as it is, to gain what little distance I can while reloading. Slowly its pounding stomps and hard breathing get closer, closer, and closer, until I reach the treeline, whirl around, and--

BANG!

I find it almost on top of me but I donk my shot straight into its head once more! Chitinous shrapnel flies and it recoils in pain, but it isn't enough! I continue into the trees, and the stomps...

Stop.

Every muscle in my body is shivering. My heart is beating a million miles a minute and adrenaline courses through my blood.

Come on, Henderson... you've got this... where are you, you big brown prick?

Rustle. Snap!

I whirl around to face the sound, raise my rifle and instinctively fire, but--

BANG!

All goes dark.

My jaws close over his head and I bite, swallowing in an instant the nude man's head. I continue down, chomping and chomping through bone and meat until I taste a larger spurt of blood flowing into my mouth. I swallow my prize down before rearing up and roaring my victory to all the world!

I HAVE WON! I HAVE BESTED YOU, HUNTER! YOU ARE MINE, NOW AND FOREVER!

And I...

...have a spectator.

As I lower back down I spot Carey cautiously approaching from the treeline, her sight-sound rectangle in hand projecting light. It plays across my blood-coated form and chipped scalp plate.

Well. Um. Surely this will have solidified my strength in her eyes?

I step forward. She flinches and I'm momentarily blinded by the light of her device.

When I can see again, I find that she is gone. Her back is to me as she pumps her legs back to her mover!

No! MY Carey! MINE! MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE!

Bloodlust courses through me as I pound after her. She is MINE!

I WANT HER!

SHE IS MINE!

She shrieks as I pounce her to the ground, pressing her into the mud. The light goes spinning as her device leaves her hand, splashing into a puddle of thankfully not too shallow nor too wet mud. It is MY device, I do not want it to break!

“Emeral! No! Stop! [Let] me up! Please, stop! [Don't] eat me!" she wails.

Mine, mine mine mine mine...

Tenderly, I lick her hair. I lovingly sit back and hold her to me. Mine. Mine. She is mine.

I stop myself before I go any further. The bloodlust begins to work its way out of my system... I calm down...

Oh, my Carey. Do not run from me. Please.

I... lost myself. Like I did within the tall intruders' place. The bloodlust. The rush. Death. A euphoric, long-awaited hunt...

She is sobbing.

She is... sobbing?

I have noticed this with her kind. Kin only cry when under the worst of pain, but she is... crying now.

Oh no.

What have I done?

I hurriedly get up, and check my Carey for broken bones. Oh no oh no oh no have I broken her? She is so fragile, and I was so rough, have I...

She continues to quietly sob into the mud, but gets up, turning onto her back and scooting away from me towards where her device fell.

“Carey. I am sorry."

She breathes hard and fast, eyeing me up and down. Once more she shines her light upon me, which I shy away from. I flare out my scythes in a show of peace, and she flinches as they move.

“I am sorry, Carey. No eat. No eat."

I approach once more. I rear up and grab for her...

But she begins to shake, and once more... she passes out. I quickly lunge forward to catch my Carey.

I smell no blood in the air, at least from her, so I hold her to myself as a new mother would her precious eggs. I grab her covering and as I pass her mover I spot a bag behind her seat. For good measure, I snatch it as well.

Light begins to shine from down the path and I make a split-second decision to leave, returning to the cave with my possessions in my forelegs.

Only later do I realize that I forgot her sight-sound rectangle where it fell from her hand when she fainted.

Warmth surrounds me. A heavy heartbeat. There is great pressure on all sides, and my body is slick with moisture. What--

My eyes fly open. I fainted again.

It's dark. Is it still night? What's going on? Where's Emeral? Where am I?!

I begin to struggle and feel around, and lower my arm to my waist where I find a leg pinning me to a hard yet warm body. With the other I reach up and pull the blanket down from my face.

Emeral's snores fill the cavern as soft morning light peeks in from around the rock. I'm back in the cave.

The events of the night prior rush back to me. I'm alive.

And Emeral just killed a man.

Oh my god.

Images of her bloodied form rapidly flash through my mind and I shut my eyes tight willing them to go away. No. No. This is a nightmare. None of this happened. But the blanket around me says otherwise. My heart is pounding again and it feels like I'm about to explode, but...

I breathe. In. Out. In. Out.

Calm. Calm. I need... to stay calm.

...

For some reason, I'm completely nude. Reaching up to feel my face I find it free of grit and very slightly moist. I can see my muddy clothes off to the side with Emeral's bag, and... my own! I'm saved! I have my food supplies and my winter jacket is in there. I won't have to eat any more berries or subsist on moss.

Snort.

My movements jolt Emeral awake, and after blinking her eyes open and closed she peers down at me, flashing me a smile that I badly hope isn't predatory.

No hesitation... just... she just chomped him down...

Only the barest fleck of blood on her lips and teeth betrays that anything had happened at all. She must have visited a stream or pool of water while I was passed out.

“...Hello, Emeral."

“Hello, Carey. You good?"

No. 'Me not good.'

“...I'm fine."

Those horrible jaws lower down, her wicked blood-coated smile parts as she readies to bite my head off--

Her tongue gently, almost lovingly, caresses my cheek.

“You are fine. This is good," she responds as she hugs me tighter. A shake of adrenaline rushes through me as my panic rises, then lowers.

It all happened so fast. I was fighting her for my radio, there was a gunshot, and more, and more, and- and then I followed her, and I found her over him...

He had... attacked her. He'd attacked her. She was... just defending herself in the only way she knew how. She was just defending herself. She's not going to hurt you Carey, it's fine, you've got what you need, you can go home now.

...

“Emeral? Up? Please?" I ask.

She releases me, grin never leaving her face as if nothing happened at all. I keep the blanket around me both for my own modesty and its warmth.

“...Out?"

She was... reluctant to let me out again, but in the end, she did. Getting her to understand that I needed to go to water was a bit hard, and at first she thought that I meant back to the road and my truck, but I simply went back to my first drawing from last night and scattered the lines of the truck. I retrieved a water bottle and laid it out over my 'river,' which could definitely be mistaken for a path otherwise.

She picked it up quick after that. She's a clever girl.

She watched me wash and scrub my clothes free of mud before returning me to the cave. Both ways, I rode her back, hugging against her with the survival blanket draped over me. It was warm, and despite the solid surface, not unpleasant.

I wish I could speak to her about what happened. Get her thoughts on it. See how she feels about it. Explain how I feel about it, but... the language barrier is still just too large.

I want to understand her. I want to know what she is. I love all creatures, and for as dangerous as she is... she seems, well... nice, as strange as that sounds. We might have gotten off on the wrong foot but she helped me and she just wanted to learn.

Despite taking five bullets she's handled it like a champ... and she's just smiling at me, still.

Just smiling.

END OF ARC TWO

A/N:

Well, that's arc two finished. It was a lot lighter on action scenes and had very different pacing and content compared to the first one. Each of the arcs will be pretty different from each other. The first one was about Emeral's arrival on Earth and focused on her interactions with the local wildlife and trying to understand the world she's found herself in. The second arc was about her first few interactions with humanity. The third arc will have continued character development and will be about her coming into her own and becoming a person.

Emeral has been changed by her experiences, and those changes are only just beginning.
