Unnerve and Ken then rolled their eyes before breaking the hug and standing by their respective partners.

"I wish you luck, especially with dealing with Chief Sal and Tai" Nocturne said as they bid Ken and Leo adieu.

"Thank you, we appreciate it" Leo said as he and Ken then began talking with each other as Unnerve and Nocturne left.

"You must be very lucky being Ken's best man, even with the past that you two had against each other" Leo said to Unnerve as they walked.

The two then headed over towards Chief Seth, Sorien, Baku, and Moxie.

"Good day Nocturne, congratulations on finding your son" Sorien said as he greeted them.

"And everything worked itself out for all of us in the end" Seth said as he smiled at them.

Unnerve never saw the two of them this happy before, but was glad that they were after all they went through. Unnerve then noticed the police uniforms that Baku and Moxie were wearing, before chuckling.

"Never did I believe that two crime lords were going to be part of the police force" Unnerve commented.

"I'm glad that the both of you will be assisted by Baku and Moxie in a more official capacity" Nocturne said as he smiled at them.

"And I can't thank you enough for bringing Baku to me! I've never been so happy in my life" Sorien thanked Nocturne.

"I didn't expect this either, but I'm happy to spend my life with the one I love" Baku said as he rubbed the back of his head.

"And having Moxie by my side has made me a better leader for my team. I thank you two with all of my heart" Seth said as he thanked them as well.

"Seth is a good leader, and I am happy to have this old mutt to be taken in as his mate" Moxie said as he smirked.

"This is what I envisioned, a world where you can be with whoever you want, despite your backgrounds" Nocturne said, smiling as he looked at the four of them.

Nocturne then leaned onto Unnerve as he looked up at him, while Unnerve ran his claws through Nocturne's hair.

"Never in my life would I have seen this world, but I'm glad I'm a part of it now" Unnerve said as he looked deep into Nocturne's eyes before turning towards Baku and Moxie.

"So how does it feel being lieutenants?" Unnerve asked them.

"It feels different being an officer off the law now, what with everything I did in the past" Baku said as he took in what he was now.

"And since Governor Jalorda pardoned us and allowed us to join the force and be lieutenants, it felt surreal" Moxie added.

"And I wouldn't want anyone else to stand by my side as I defend the law" Sorien said as he leaned against Baku.

"And the work may not be easy, but we know that all the four of us will be able to do it together" Seth said as he leaned against Moxie in turn.

The two couples then turned towards one another and hugged each other, before kissing each other.

"And I wish all of you well, and Unnerve and I will be there for you" Nocturne said as he clapped his paws together.

"And I see a strong team in front of me, one who will defend true justice and pride" Unnerve said as he nodded in agreement with Nocturne.

"By the way, how are Chief Kom and Drei doing? They're not giving you much trouble are they?" Nocturne asked them.

Chief Sorien and Seth made a troubled expression, with Baku and Moxie respectfully patting their partners on the back for comfort.

"Is everything alright?" Unnerve asked them.

"We just feel a bit uneasy talking about them" Seth explained.

"What happened to them?" Nocturne asked him, wanting to know more.

"Chief Kom has been a bit rowdy since he was locked up" Sorien said as he began to explain what happened.

...

"You pathetic little bitch! Is this how you repay me!? By locking me up!? If you open this cell up right now I might just fucking go easy on you!" Kom yelled as he screamed at Sorien from his cell.

"None of your words will affect me anymore sir. I've gained much confidence ever since I joined Nocturne's cause" Sorien said calmly as he looked at Kom in the eyes.

"Hahahaha! Really? That's what you believe? He will only bring ruin to you!" Kom said as he laughed.

Baku, who was right beside Sorien, stepped in.

"Don't yell at my partner like that! He is the most amazing police chief I've ever witnessed, unlike you!" Baku yelled at Kom.

Officer Taichi stepped in as well, who was overlooking what was happening. He had been assigned to watch over Baku despite the relationship between Sorien and Baku.

"Chief Sorien deserves more respect than you should expect sir" Taichi chimed in.

Kom smirked as he turned his attention towards Taichi.

"You know Taichi, you owe your service to me. I was the one who brought you here BEFORE that failure ever became chief. Why don't you break me out, and I'll promise to make you my lieutenant" Kom offered Taichi, who just laughed at the offer.

"Months ago I would have considered it" Taichi said, making Baku and Sorien feel worried "But I serve Chief Sorien now, because I respect who he is and what he stands for"

"You fool! This line of thinking will make you weak!" Kom yelled as he grabbed the bars in an attempt to pry them open, before failing miserably.

Taichi ignored him and started walking away, but not before turning towards Sorien.

"I'll head back up and make sure that nobody bothers you" Taichi told Sorien.

"Thank you Taichi" Sorien said as he smiled at him.

"Anytime chief, just let me know when you need some extra muscle. I don't mind showing the former chief a thing or two" Taichi said as he left.

"I will stand by you as your lieutenant no matter what" Baku said to Sorien as Taichi left.

Sorien then leaned forward and kissed Baku in front of Kom, making the former chief become visibly disgusted by the sight of their affection.

"I can't wait to get out and punch you in the face" Kom growled as he watched them.

He expected Sorien to be afraid, but instead, he got a smirk from Baku and Sorien.

"If we defeated you once, we can do it again" Sorien said confidently.

...

"We'll be there for you if Kom attempts any trouble then" Unnerve said, reassuring Sorien.

"Thank you Unnerve, but this is my problem, and me and Baku will handle it together" Sorien said, thanking Unnerve.

Nocturne started clapping for them.

"I'm happy to see you working it out yourselves" Nocturne said before turning his attention to Seth and Moxie.

Moxie nudged Seth, making it known that it was Seth's turn to tell what happened to Drei.

"Chief Drei has been very vocal and throwing insults everytime I visited him" Seth said as he started to tell them what happened.

...

"You traitorous bitch! You dare lock me up!? After everything I did for you!? Have you ever thought about being grateful you fucking slut!? Everyone will backstab you one day! Including that mutt next to you!" Drei yelled from his cell at Seth and Moxie.

This angered Moxie as he started barking loudly at Drei.

"I'd rather go through torture than betray and harm Seth! Seth has gained so many friends who appreciate him! And all of them has his support, and ready to back him up! You must have felt lonely and fed fear into others to overpower them didn't you?" Moxie yelled at Drei.

Drei ran up to the bars and grabbed them hard, all of his heads seething in rage at Moxie.

"You know nothing about the dragon standing next to you!" Drei growled at Moxie.

Before Moxie can respond, Seth stood his ground.

"Moxie knew more about me than you ever did. And I trust Moxie and Nocturne with my life, and I know that they'll never betray me. The old Seth that you used to control is no longer here, and the new Seth that you see now will build trust to his team, and now they respect him" Seth said bravely.

"They will respect you now, but one day they'll betray you. And on that day, you'd have wished you listened to me" Drei said, smirking at him as he still held his beliefs.

"Everyone in the station respects Seth now, I doubt that anyone will lay a claw on him" Moxie reminded Drei.

Drei smiled evilly as he stepped back away from them before sitting on his bench and crossing his legs.

"Some things will never change, and you and I know how difficult it is to handle a station" Drei said evilly.

"We're prepared for whatever comes, and we'll take it in stride together" Seth smirked back before leaning towards Moxie and giving him a kiss.

"As the lieutenant, I will serve the chief proudly" Moxie said as he looked at the goopy dragon.

"Ugh, I cannot wait to teach you a lesson when I get out" Drei said as he looked disgusted by the display.

"I'll be more than happy to beat you down again" Moxie said as he smirked.

...

"Heh, Chief Drei sure loves to antagonize others with his words" Unnerve said as he chuckled.

"Moxie and I will handle this by ourselves too. This is our problem but we appreciate any help from you and Nocturne if it does come to that point" Seth said as he nodded.

"I'm happy that the two other chiefs are faring well, but now we have to go" Nocturne said as he smiled before grabbing Unnerve's arm and going to the next group.

The four nodded their heads at them and saluted, before waving goodbye.

"Looks like the two crime lords work perfectly with the other two chiefs" Nocturne said as they walked.

"You just have a knack for things with your charisma between pairs" Unnerve said as they reached the next group of people, which was Fry and Waru.

As the couple approached them, Fry and Waru began panicking before saluting towards their superiors.

"At ease, you may rest easy" Unnerve said as he chuckled.

"Sorry, it just feels so weird with you no longer being the chief, but I'll give my full respects to Gabu and Vern from here on out" Fry said as he calmed down.

"And I feel weird in this police outfit I'm wearing, and especially when I was being chased by the police not too long ago" Waru added.

"Hehehe, it's different for me too seeing my team in police uniforms, but I'm happy that we're all working together" Nocturne said as he chuckled.

"How are you both feeling after this?" Unnerve asked them.

"I'm happy to be in the world that we live in right now, with no prejudice on who we can be with. And I'm forever thankful to Nocturne for raiding the police station and introducing Waru into my life. I was scared for my life when I was dragged into the closet, but I wouldn't turn it back for anything" Fry said as he looked over at Waru with a smile.

"Gahaha! I was not anticipating those turn of events, but I'm happy to find my soulmate" Waru said as he chuckled.

Fry blushed before giving Waru a kiss on the snout, which Waru returned.

"The two of you make a lovely couple as well" Unnerve said as he smiled warmly at the sight.

"And I'm happy that Governor Jalorda pardoned Waru" Nocturne added.

"And thank you for hiring Waru into the force before stepping down" Fry thanked Unnerve.

"I know Waru will be a great addition to the team, and help out at the security station" Unnerve said as he nodded.

"It's a lot of work being the head of security, but I know that Waru and I can ensure the safety of everyone in the station" Fry said as he held Waru's claws.

"I'll make you and Nocturne proud by becoming an officer of the law, and make sure that any mishaps don't happen at the station" Waru said as he promised Nocturne and Unnerve, before holding Fry's claw back.

"We believe in you. Now if you'll excuse us, we have to leave" Nocturne and Unnerve said as they nodded their heads towards them.

"Don't let us keep you sir" Fry said before he and Waru saluted as they left.

"Fry and Waru will do a good job to ensure nobody gets rowdy at his old station" Nocturne told Unnerve as they walked.

"Yes, Fry may not look like it but he can put up a fight if he tries. And with Waru by his side, he knows no one will step out of bounds" Unnerve agreed with Nocturne.

The two set their sights on the next group of people, Gabu and Vern.

As the two approached them, they both noticed another garchomp hugging Gabu before slowly walking away. From what they could tell, the garchomp's scale tone was noticeably more radiant blue compared to Gabu's. He was also wearing an alolan shirt and sunglasses on his head. He had some fur on his body, which seemed a bit different from the garchomp line. Lastly, he wore a fancy ribbon across his neck, which contrasted against the natural scale tone of his scales.

The garchomp waved goodbye, and motioned to Gabu by putting his talon near his head and mouthing words that neither Unnerve or Nocturne could decipher.

"That was a great speech Unnerve" Vern said by the time that Unnerve and Nocturne had reached them.

"Who was that other garchomp?" Unnerve asked them.

"It's a close friend of mine" Gabu replied.

"I've never seen this shark before" Nocturne said as he raised an eyebrow at Gabu.

"He's Gabu's karaoke buddy if you must know, while also being my music buddy when going to concerts" Vern said as he stepped in for Gabu.

"I didn't know you liked music, Vern, or if you even played anything" Nocturne said, visibly surprised.

"Heh, I play the violin in my spare time. And I know that you play a certain musical instrument as well" Vern said as he smirked at Nocturne.

"How come you never played for me then?" Unnerve asked Nocturne as he blew a puff of smoke out of his nostril.

"I was more focused on my goal at the time, but I wouldn't mind playing the lyre here and there. I like the elegance of the lyre, but I'd prefer the harp in a more professional atmosphere" Nocturne answered him.

"I look forward to hearing that then... Speaking of which, Gabu, I didn't know you liked singing" Unnerve said as he turned towards Gabu.

"I'm not too good at it, but my friend helps me after working hours when we want to have some fun singing tunes together" Gabu admitted as he blushed in embarrassment.

"Gabu's voice is rather cheerful. Let's just say I enjoy his singing voice" Vern said as he smiled, causing Gabu to blush and hide his face.

"A chief shouldn't be embarrassed about this, you should take it with pride! You are someone who I know will lead the team with pride and justice, and your assistant will assist you every path of the way" Unnerve said as he patted Gabu's back and brought his head to face him.

Gabu blushed as Unnerve seemed standing too close to Gabu when he said this, causing him to blush a bit before hugging Unnerve tightly.

"I'm still nervous about my new role, but I'll do my best and make you proud" Gabu said gratefully.

"Awwww are you gonna kiss now?" Nocturne teased them, making Unnerve roll his eyes and grunt.

"This will be a lot of work, but I know my mate will do a perfect job" Vern whispered into Nocturne's ear as he leaned in.

"I see that he would be a stronger garchomp one day with a proud lineage. How about you? How do you feel joining the police force again?" Nocturne said as he shot another question back at Vern.

"I was hesitant at first knowing that I'll be working with the other chiefs. But

working with Governor Jalorda, the city will be protected now that I'm on it as well. I'm just happy to be alongside Gabu again, and the two of us will be the dynamic duo that would be a force to be reckoned with" Vern said as Nocturne released a few tears.

"I'm still shocked that my goals were accomplished" Nocturne said as he wiped the tears away.

"I never once doubted that. I'm glad that you had found me and helped you reach your goal, knowing that I can accomplish mine as well" Vern said as he hugged Nocturne.

"Well look who's talking" Unnerve said as he looked at them hug each other and placing his talons on his hips.

A clapping sound was heard as Nocturne and Vern were caught off guard by it, and turned towards the source of the noise, and saw a golduck in a police uniform continuing to clap at them.

"I never once doubted either. I'm happy to see the little noibat is now happy with the path he set his mind to" The golduck said as he stopped in front of them.

Nocturne looked at Vern, who just shrugged his shoulders.

"Alright who is this mysterious duck that's talking like he knows everything?" Unnerve asked as he and Gabu approached Nocturne and Vern about him.

"I never forget" The golduck responded, causing Vern's eyes to widen.

"Officer... Officer Kodi?" Vern asked the golduck.

"So the young bat dragon finally got to the top, along with his land shark roommate" Officer Kodi said, causing Gabu's eyes to widen next.

"Officer Kodi!" Gabu and Vern yelled before rushing over and hugging their former academy officer.

"I'm proud to see my own cadets grow into such wonderful officers" Officer Kodi said as he patted them on their heads.

"This is one of the cadet officers who worked at the academy" Unnerve said as he pointed at Officer Kodi to Nocturne.

Nocturne placed his paw underneath on his chin, staring off into the distance deep in thought, causing Unnerve to tilt his head in confusion.

"I have always believed in both of you, knowing that the two of you will be a police chief, and the other one being a lieutenant, but here I thought it would be the other way around with the both of you. Who would have thought" Officer Kodi said as he looked at them proudly.

"I'm just happy to be working alongside Gabu, the titles do not matter to us, we are one unit" Vern said as he looked at Gabu.

"Both Vern and I will be making decisions together, and will share equal power in the station at most. The titles are nothing more than formalities to us" Gabu assured Officer Kodi.

"I'm happy to see the both of you being successful in my old age" Officer Kodi said as he smiled at them.

"What are you doing now Officer? Still working at the academy?" Gabu asked him.

"I just enjoy a life of retirement now. I mostly spend my days playing golf and visiting the other islands" Officer Kodi informed them.

"Wait... How did you know about this event? I remember this being a private one" Vern asked Officer Kodi.

"I was asked by Governor Jalorda to attend it. And I never forget the face of any cadet, and anyone I truly believe in being successful in their career. Now young lads... I... *yawns*... Must go... I'm late for my nap" Officer Kodi said before hugging them both one last time before saluting them.

Vern and Gabu saluted back, before Officer Kodi left, just as Unnerve and Nocturne began approaching them.

"Where did the old officer go?" Nocturne asked them, still in an inquisitive state.

"Officer Kodi had to leave, but he told us that he was proud of our success. He has amazing memory and never forgets a face that he came across" Gabu told him, causing Nocturne's eyes to suddenly widen.

Nocturne turned his head frantically, trying to search for the golduck as if in a panic to find him, causing Unnerve to grab him by the arm.

"What's up with you? You look like you just lost something or someone" Unnerve asked Nocturne as he held him still.

Nocturne calmed down, realizing how he must have looked trying to search for him.

"No... It's nothing... I'll talk about it later" Nocturne said as he calmed down.

Unnerve gave Nocturne a concerned look, which Gabu and Vern did the same, wondering what had made Nocturne lose his cool.

"I just have some thought on things, but now's not the time for that. I'll talk about it another time with all of you" Nocturne assured them.

"Hmph... If there's something you're concerned about, you should talk about it now" Unnerve said as he blew smoke from his nostrils, but nodded his head.

"No, I might just be overthinking it. Anyway, congratulations to the both of you, I know you'll both fit in well with your new roles" Nocturne said as he congratulated Gabu and Vern.

"And thank you for reuniting us together again" Vern and Gabu thanked Nocturne, knowing not to probe their boss any further and hugged him. Unnerve rolled his eyes and joined in on the hug as well.

They broke the hug and smiled at each other.

"We still have one more group to talk to before calling it a day" Nocturne told Gabu and Vern.

"We look forward to the after party later tonight then" Gabu said as he bid Nocturne farewel..

"Maybe we can see who can chug a chair the farthest" Vern teased Unnerve.

"You're going to lose" Unnerve said as he cracked his neck.

"I'm not going to lose to you. And I doubt a fire chicken will want to either" Vern said as he smirked at Unnerve.

Unnerve rolled his eyes and grabbed Nocturne's arm as he dragged him to leave.

"Goodbye you two" Nocturne said as he chuckled and waved goodbye to Gabu and Vern.

Gabu and Vern saluted as Nocturne and Unnerve left them.

"Is everything ok Unnerve?" Nocturne asked Unnerve as he was dragged away.

"Nothing, just trying not to get riled up" Unnerve muttered.

"I'm happy to see you have grown this much already" Nocturne said as he smiled at him.

"And I have my night fox to thank for that" Unnerve returned the gesture.

"I'll allow some chair throwing tonight, since it'll be in good sport" Nocturne said as he grinned at Unnerve.

"And I'll win" Unnerve said before they approached the next group.

It was SnipeS, Kain, Inferno, and Sleuth.

As they approached, they saw that SnipeS was reading a brochure and was pointing at various things on it with Inferno.

Once they reached them, they were greeted by Kain and Sleuth who weren't too busy, followed by the two heroes.

"Hello Unnerve!" Kain and Sleuth greeted them, catching the other two's attention.

"Sorry about that, we were busy looking at something" SnipeS said as he apologized.

"What are you looking at over there?" Nocturne asked them, pointing at the brochure.

"It's a pamphlet about a cruise" SnipeS said as he pointed at it.

"Do you think you can take a break from your hero work?" Unnerve asked them as he raised an eyebrow.

"Mhm! Sleuth and I decided we'd surprise SnipeS and Inferno with tickets for a cruise, just the four of us!" Kain said as he looked excited.

"We just wanted to take a break after all that's happened. We were thinking of only taking a weeklong vacation before resuming our duties again" Sleuth added, just as excited as Kain was.

"Heh, would that be a good idea? For the number one and seventh hero to forego their duties?" Nocturne asked as he chuckled.

"I already informed the other eight heroes that make up our division, and they will rotate to ensure that Gabu's district will be protected in SnipeS' absence" Inferno assured Nocturne and Unnerve.

"Well after all that's happened since the beginning, I just want to relax with Kain for a moment with the two of us together" SnipeS said as he stretched his back.

"And I'd like a quiet moment together with SnipeS as well" Kain said as he leaned in against SnipeS' shoulder and blushed at what SnipeS said.

Inferno then gently punched SnipeS in the shoulder, causing SnipeS to recoil in pain since Inferno didn't know his own strength that much, causing him to give a death glare at Inferno.

"Sorry... Anyway the four of us are going together, although we will have private time among ourselves in the cruise" Inferno said and apologized to SnipeS.

"And I want nothing more than to see my partner relax and not worry about the world too much" Sleuth said as he jumped in and hugged Inferno.

"Then that would mean a lot more work for me, Nocturne, and Gao with both of you gone" Unnerve said as he shook his head.

"It'll be fine, this will be a good experience to see what we can do without relying on a hero's help" Nocturne said as he chuckled and patted Unnerve on the back.

"Speaking of which... How is Chief Kai fairing?" Inferno nodded his head and decided to change the subject.

Unnerve blew smoke from his nostrils and punched his talons together, making Kain and Sleuth recoil, while SnipeS frowned at Unnerve's reaction.

"This is a bit of a sour topic for Unnerve" Nocturne warned them as he rubbed Unnerve's back.

"It's alright, this is how it went. I put him in solitary confinement, away from other criminals" Unnerve said as he started explaining the situation about Kai.

"Is that even a good idea?" SnipeS asked as he interrupted Unnerve.

"It's fine, and there's nothing the dragon can do to me anymore" Unnerve assured SnipeS.

SnipeS nodded his head as he let Unnerve continue the story.

As Unnerve visited the dragonite, it was always the same as before. He would always be sitting on his cot, reading the newspaper, and nothing ever changed whenever he visited him, even at different times.

When Unnerve approached the cell, the first thing Kai had done was smirk at him, before placing the newspaper down and approaching him just behind the bars.

"So how are you" Unnerve asked Kai as he crossed his arms.

"Oh everything is going so swell and perfect" Kai said sarcastically.

"You deserve to rot in jail for everything you've done, especially the turmoil that I've had to go through in my life" Unnerve said as he glared at Kai.

"My teaching was the best way to show how powerful dragons really are, and you were the perfect candidate in every way. You had authority, strength, wit, pride, things that would show how dominant the dragon type species will be and not to mess with us as police chiefs" Kai said as he grinned at him.

"You just created a fake that wanted nothing more than to hurt the ones around him. Nocturne showed me my true self, the same officer who supports others and respects the law" Unnerve said as he remained firm.

"The officer back then let a criminal get away, and that criminal turned out to be the infamous Illusionist. Don't you think that already proves how stupid you are for throwing away what I taught you? You're the one who broke the law, and if anyone should be in jail, it's you" Kai said as he stomped his foot.

"And it's our duties as officers to help those less fortunate. I agree, the Illusionist did steal something, but he actually returned and paid for it. And I'd be happy to do it again, to help a starving family survive for another day than throw the father in jail and let the family suffer" Unnerve said as he stomped his foot back.

"Your heart's gotten weak since you've fallen for that night fox" Kai said as he smirked.

"No, my heart's stronger than before, and I'll never trade that encounter for anything. Nocturne had saved me and showed me what it means to be a chief again. Nocturne is someone I want to spend the rest of my life with, and help raise our son together" Unnerve said as he shook his head at Kai.

"The fake governor will falter one day, and you and Nocturne shall suffer for it" Kai argued.

"As a family, we will conquer everything, and there is nothing you can do" Unnerve argued back.

Kai then walked away and sat on his cot.

"I'll make you eat those words one day" Kai smirked, swearing revenge.

...

"Unnerve visits Kai everyday, and I'm not happy with that" Nocturne said, frowning at Unnerve's visits.

"Don't worry, there is nothing that Kai can say or do to make me change my views. I check on Kai regularly to make sure that he doesn't try anything to get out of his cell" Unnerve said as he reassured Nocturne.

Nocturne sighed, before being pulled close by Unnerve as they looked at each other's eyes.

As Nocturne looked into Unnerve's eyes, he saw a haxorus holding a zoroark and a zorua, all as one happy family, causing Nocturne to shed a small tear.

"I guess I have nothing to worry about, since I looked into what's in your heart" Nocturne said as he smiled at him.

"Chief Kai is still a force to be reckoned with" SnipeS warned Unnerve, making Kain nod in agreement.

"Chief Kai was the number one chief for a reason" Kain added.

"My mentor knew what to do with his job, and he's good at it, but I don't agree with his methods" Unnerve said as he felt sour just talking about Kai now.

Unnerve then turned towards Inferno and Sleuth, and eyed them for a while.

"Is something bothering you Unnerve?" Sleuth asked Unnerve.

"How did Kai know about Gao's secret? Wouldn't he have snitched on him before we came?" Unnerve asked them.

"I was a bit surprised too after knowing his identity, but it seems that Sleuth knew for quite some time" Inferno revealed to them, causing Unnerve and Nocturne to turn towards Sleuth.

"I had some sort of idea about Governor Jalorda from before. I just thought he wasn't the real one. I thought that it was a body double, but not Gao. It wasn't until Inferno and I joined the group that everything started making sense to me, so I relayed the information to Inferno eventually. We wanted Nocturne to find out for himself. We didn't want him to change his mind about the plan if he knew" Sleuth said as he felt a bit nervous.
