A Dance From Twilight To The Moon
A Dance From Twilight To The Moon
By Arogard Flame-Wing
It was another routine tainted day in which my mind wondered to its usual roost of what could be and the paths that were open for me to traverse down. Now that I look back upon all those possibilities and choices I've accumulated over the time, I realized that I was the root from which the routine sprouted. I wanted order and things to go smooth, but a part of myself wanted to rebel against it all, leading me to finally making the choice that would affect my life drastically. My head was on the table, but I wasn't asleep, I couldn't anyway from the discomfort of the chairs and my ass was already numb. I was just building up the courage to act upon my feelings and it didn't help that the current class was the one I hated most.
I tinged upward suddenly, my head ricocheting off the desk slightly as that dratted teacher's monotone voice changed into a rather loud ruckus.
"Cirrik! Pay attention! You'll have time to nod off in your next class, but here, I expect you to listen!" Was all that sarcastic paramecium of a furry could say before seeing my eyes lock onto his, making him merely shudder and resume annoying the hell out of the rest of the class.
"You're lucky I don't have a shoe, otherwise it would be connected to the back of your head by now with epoxy old man..." was all I could say, letting my eyes adjust from the sudden jolt.
"Excuse me!?"
"You heard me you old fart, anyone got a shoe I could borrow?" I asked in ecstasy of letting out pent up aggression and stress while making it humorous to the crowd now tossing the occasional shoe to me as I pulled a tube of super-glue out of my jacket.
I got up and chased that teacher all the way through the school, his clumsy aged feet making a ruckus compared to my subtle speed walking with two shoes in one hand and my tube of super-glue in the other.
"You know I don't make idle threats! Come here, it'll make this a whole lot easier!"
A security guard came up from behind and grabbed me. Out of the sheer enjoyment I gave a slight kiss to stun him and glued one of two shoes to his forehead. Now that I was free to chase down that old geezer I walked down the hall following the scent of his fatigue and finding him in a corner.
"I told you this is just gonna be real quick-like..." I chuckled out loud, squirting the superglue onto the shoe, lifting him up off the ground, and sticking it to his ass. "Just to make sure it don't hurt, I'll just keep it there rather than you have another bald spot to flash the class with."
I'm was suspended for a week and I am feeling fantastic from that endeavor to hold up my threat. To my surprise, however, it seems my parents were expecting a similar event to happen due to my solitude that they felt and had a vacation planned already.
"We know it's been hard on you, so we're going on a vacation you'd really like." I heard coming from mom's usual spot, followed by a closing of a cabinet. "We're going on a cruise!"
"A week-long cruise to boot. So go get your stuff packed, we've gotta be there in 5 hours..." Dad replied, finishing mom's news.
I always loved the sea, and this chance to travel and see the vast blue sky and water enthralled me into practically gliding up the steps to my room. Upon entering, I saw a suitcase already packed with essentials open on the bed. I packed the things I valued most, with my small sword being the only sword that would fit, my alabaster and obsidian stones for balance, my masquerade suit that I won from an estate's drawing, and my journal, which contained my ingredient log, ritual rites, dream log, and creations from art to musical compositions. After it was all packed, I lugged the heavy thing down the stairs and out the already open door, lifting it into the trunk gently as to not damage the contents. I hopped up into my seat and we drove to the pier. What amazed me was it was the same one I always ran away to, remembering I'd always wait for the ship to come and take me away, though this dock was all but abandoned and I was immediately wary as to the legitimacy of this cruise. We pulled over into the barren parking lot and stood on the pier, seeing a ship emerge from the sudden inclosing fog, slowing down and pulling it's port side to the edge and letting the anchors noisily hit the submerged rocks and sand.
"All Aboard!" I heard a voice call from behind me, making me blink.
When my eyes opened I was in a different place, surrounded by countless people and voices, being pushed to and fro by the boarding and exiting. I looked around to find no sign of my parents and I panicked, running onto the boat where fewer people were. I ran across the deck, luggage in hand, looking for the unseen duo that had brought me up. As the ship weighed anchor, however, I ran to the gangplank and I thought I saw my parents yelling on the moor side to me. I froze with panic and all went black amidst the thick fog and busy deck as I collapsed against the ebony boards.
The dream I had was a vivid one, as I remember it clearly: I was on the outdoor ballroom area of a grand ship in my masquerade suit, only I had my small sword at my hip and my masque was on. I continued walking toward the circle of lights serving as pillars and onto the floor made of marble, hearing the clicking of my heels as I walked with pride to this exotic gathering. There was one who accompanied me, A gallantly dressed and modest looking fellow draconian, with his short hair slicked back as opposed to the lengthy braided ponytail I kept mine in. We were holding hands and walking in sync, hinting that he was my mate and we were going together. We arrived to the site to see that we were a bit early and we giggled to ourselves as faces eyed us carefully, unaccustomed to a male pair arriving in such grandeur as we bowed valiantly as if to ward off their dagger-like glances. With the whole crowd seeming to have arrived early, the music kicked up and the guests entered the floor, my partner and I taking near center. It began with a light step, my purple coattails fraying around rhythmically and meshing with my partner's deep blue frills. It moved onto a medieval piece, with both of us staying on the floor and seeing a few step off for not knowing how to dance thusly. We paraded around, blending in with the rest as if all were professionals, catching us off guard when the music approached its end and we were one of five pairs left on center.
The crowd applauded as it was break time and we stepped off to get drinks and food. My mate took my hand and walked out to the bow of the ship with me, both of us wanting to hear the gentle lapping of water against the ship rather than a bunch of talking. We kissed momentarily, with my partner breaking off, wanting to speak.
"We'll be together soon, as soon as this is over we'll be together, forever..."
I woke up suddenly, my eyes stinging from the sudden intake of light as I looked over to see my parents leaning over me in a ship cabin.
"You walked off the pier before the ship came, and bumped your head on the way down." It was mom's voice, full of worry as usual when something out of habit happens.
"The ship started pulling up out of the fog as soon as you hit the water, and the crewman helped us get you out." This time it was dad, his voice calm and soothing in an attempt to counter mom's tension. "You were out for at least ten hours, it's night right now..."
I sat up a little and saw the draconian from my dream standing at the foot of my bed. Our eyes met for a long moment and he came over and hugged me as if we were reunited, his deep jade eyes locking onto mine.
"He was the one who pulled you out, seems he has a fondness for you, but I told him you were hetero-"
"Actually, I didn't know when it was a good time to tell you, the both of you always seemed tense when you got home so I didn't want to say anything yet... but I guess now's the time: I'm gay..." I said interrupting my synchronous parents' speech and shocking them.
The draconian sighed in relief as he held me closer and I embraced in return, leaving nary a shadow of doubt in the two adults' minds. We eased off each other, our eyes locking yet again as the depth and sights hypnotized us into the other's pupils. The only thing that prevented us from locking lips was the presence of the two dumbfounded adults. But finally, my eyes gave a reassuring flash to the draconian as I leaned forward a little more out of the bed and we met lips in front of everyone, for I saw out the corner of my eye that the window was open, making me smile a little as we kissed.
"We'll just leave you two alone then..." mother said; pushing my shell-shocked father along out of the room followed by a click of the door.
Our lips disconnected after two minutes, the draconian closing the window and rolling down the blinds. Abruptly, mother opened the door and threw in a condom, and I saw it was from my bag, leaving me to wonder if she had found the other stores of naughty pleasure invokers through my backpack as well. The draconian giggled a little before taking off his shirt to reveal a muscular chest and burly arms, and my eyes traced instinctively down his body to the slight bulge that was present in his pants.
"I never got your name..." I blurted out, my eyes looking back into his.
"It's Raegor, and you?" the blushing draconian asked me, seeing that his erection's fight with his underwear had been noticed.
"Cirrik, nice to meet you. I saw you in my dream but never heard your name, anyway is there a masquerade ball tonight perchance?" I asked cringing, seeing that this was a mood breaker.
"I had the same dream, and yes, in three hours, do you have a suit? If you dance as well as in my dream we should attend and finish it..." Raegor asked eagerly, relieved to feel his boner die down for now.
"Yes, it's a-"
"Purple suit with long coattails, along with a vixen mask, yes? I have a-"
"Deep blue suit with a wolf mask, and I guess we did have the same dream..."
"Spot on, shall we meet outside your cabin at 11:30?"
"That would be wonderful, and don't forget to bring your tools for after the ball." I said winking suggestively to the now deeply blushing draconian and see his shaft stiffen once more, "My you're eager aren't you?" I finished, groping him a little and hearing him let out a heavy sigh.
"I-I'll just get going then..." Raegor stuttered, shivering in delight to the contact and wetting my hand a little with pre that shot out.
Raegor walked out of the room, repositioning his cock so that it wouldn't tent his pants as I licked my palm to taste what had seeped through the linen, and felt that he had no underwear on, not even a loincloth.
I let my pillar throb out as I took off my clothes, playing with it slightly as I put on the surprisingly well fitting masquerade suit and mask. The crotch area was a bit hugging, but I guess that was to my advantage with how close quarters I'm going to be with that muscular hunk. I nit-picked and aligned the suit until it was almost time for me to step out. Making sure my hair was in its usual braided ponytail, I straightened my jacket and walked out to be greeted by Raegor.
"Right on time I see."
"You know it, now let's get this ball over with." I replied, groping the hot draconian again and making him pulse in hands, wetting my palm with more pre, "Mmh, you're just teeming aren't you?" I replied to his sigh as I licked my palm seductively.
"I'm lucky I'm not wearing a light-colored suit..."
"You just love going commando don't you?"
"Huh?"
"I'm gonna do some teasing tonight..." I chuckled as we walked toward the lights as if we were reliving our dream.
It was a quiet and peaceful walk, letting our minds wander as our steps instinctively became synced and we giggled. The ship was different in my dream, but the people and atmosphere were the same. We bowed to ward off glances and took this time the center of the floor, with us being in the circle. The two songs were replayed as our steps differed due to the position, but we performed even better than in the dream, with me guessing he also studied how to dance from the center. Also, there were now 4 pairs of people, leaving me to think that our future selves in my dream took the center. Raegor grasped my hand as we both walked to the bow of the ship for air, with us kissing the whole trip. I broke the kiss this time, wanting to talk.
"We'll be together soon, as soon as this is over we'll be together, forever..."
"Of course we will, whether my parents like it or not, I'm going to go wherever you go, No one will break us apart." I replied, knowing in my mind my parents wouldn't approve of him staying with me so I already had my mind set on running away with him.
We went back to the ball and the next song was a swing, the dance I learned since elementary. We danced elegantly, with me correcting his slight errors whimsically and improvising his mistakes. When the song ended, we were still center, and the only ones standing for the last song.
"Not much for competition is there?" Raegor whispered into my ear giddily from the attention, as we stood ready for the next composition, "Thanks for improvising for me, I didn't pay attention during swing lessons..."
"You're going to make up for this in bed." I whispered back, winking to him as the announcer stated the next song would be a waltz named "Into the Moonlight".
"A fitting song, let us keep its name in mind..."
The song started elaborately, and we coordinated steps in exquisite accentuation, leading the audience into awe as they cheered the twirls and twists that decorated the floor. My hands started glowing as they slid and grasped Raegor's, painting the air around us with amber traces, like an ever-extending ribbon following the movements of our hands. The audience watched with widened eyes, seeing the exotic sight flow with beauty to the rhythm, eventually cheering again as the translucent ribbons went unbroken by our bodies sinuously winding through them. I gave the cue and we started drifting toward the bow, twisting and turning up the steps flawlessly and continuing upward. Lucid steps appeared under our feet as we proceeded over the edge onto a transparent floor over the sea. We looked onward, seeing the path toward the moon stretched out before us, me tearing to the beauty as we waltzed onward to the ever-present song in our minds. I looked back and saw the crowd trying to climb the clear steps in vain, and then it was discovered. A couple began dancing, their hands lighting up as ours did, and they proceeded in our footsteps.
"Are we up for the journey?" Raegor asked over my shoulder feeling no need to whisper.
"With you, I will always be, and we have those who will follow us on our path..." I said un-fatigued and feeling Raegor's chest rise in confidence and reassurance onto mine.
"Then let us do this; together..."
We waltzed onward, our hands glowing brilliantly as we painted the way for others to follow in our footsteps, the path illuminating what light the new moon hadn't provided over the sea and into the horizon. The path became more solid as we went on, turning from translucent myriad of colors into a solid alabaster path, with streaks of all kinds of colors and hues along it. Though we knew it was safe to walk on, we didn't stop dancing until we were sure everyone else had made it onto to solid path. When we stopped, everyone continued dancing until they reached where we were. We continued walking into the star-lit, star-bright path hand in hand, always toward the moon, always... toward peace.
Dedicated to my friend Skylar, who was always there for me when we grew up together, and inspired by the song "Waltz Into The Moonlight" by Tryad for waking up fond memories that I thought I had forgotten.
