New Beginnings with Doctor Sylvia

, , , , , ,

We figured we should write a sequel to the story Ehks wrote for us here (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/51462225/), so we did!

Doctor Sylvia Atlas is a pioneer in human-to-Pokémon transformation, and now a lucky patient gets to meet her firsthand to undergo the process. More setup than the actual tf, but I'm happy with it.

Sandra looked around the clinic's waiting room nervously. Pushing open the door she found she was the only patient, but that didn't make her any less nervous to enter and face the secretary, walking past various posters and anatomical models. She watched as the man at the front turned his head to face her and swallowed.

His plain blue shirt was contrasted by the wild mane of tan fur, covering a muzzle full of sharp teeth. His eyes were full of warmth, but also were those of a natural predator. His paws moved to close a solitaire game on his computer while he prepared to enter the new patient.

"Hello! Welcome to the Alcremie New You Clinic! May I ask who you are?"

Sandra nodded. Unlike the confident Arcanine, she was a relatively scrawny and fully human girl; her already light skin was pale from lack of light, her oversized hoodie compensating for her poor self image. She tapped her running shoe on the floor as she answered.

"Sandra Compton. I, um, have an appointment..."

The secretary nodded, pulling open a tab and scanning it.

"Ah, yes! Just wait a few minutes, wecan get you started early. Lucky you, you'll be with Doctor Sylvia herself!"

She nodded, stepping away to rest on a couch. She took the time to look at the various pictures on the wall, showing humans and Pokémon together, health warnings and advice. Among them were some showing anthros, a recent but growing segment of the population thanks to the discovery of new gene-splicing techniques.

She turned her gaze to a portrait of a woman, her black chitin contrasted by white hair spilling around her antennae. Sylvia Atlas, the Slither Wing responsible for many of the breakthroughs. Sandra remembered an interview she read with her; she was happy to call herself a genius, but insisted she was just the latest in a chain, from those who produced beasts such as Mewtwo and Silvally, to those who made species like Ditto, Muk, or Golurk, all the way to those hundreds of years past who made the first Pokéballs and started to document Pokémon beyond their threats to people and local legends about the most powerful.

Before she could continue her thoughts, an Audino tapped her leg and chirped. The secretary called out to her afterward, "Miss Debra here will bring you to Sylvia's office."

She silently nodded, standing up and taking the smaller Pokémon's hand. As she was guided into the halls, she saw a human man on break next to a Flygon woman, the two ignoring her as they talked. Another doctor was talking to an Eevee, perched on a table; Sandra couldn't see them but got the impression they understood the creature. Finally, they reached a door with Sylvia's name on the front, and pushed it open.

"Hello?"

Inside stood a pair of hybrid women, looking over a many-paged document. One had a massive set of orange wings and thick green tail, her dress nearly backless entirely to afford them room. Clearly, that was Sylvia herself. The other had a traditional labcoat that could wrap around her whole body, although a hole allowed a thin tail with a yellow star on the tip to wave freely. Judging by her wild black mane and blue ears, Sylvia guessed she was a Luxray. Her guide let out a small call to catch their attention, and she soon felt the two doctors gazes, the piercing yellow eyes of a Luxray looking over her while Sylvia's pupiless ones seemingly saw everything at once.

"Hello, I'm here for my appointment..." she said in a quiet voice, watching them look at each other.

"Ah, yes, Darryl said you'd be early. Come in, take a seat."

Sylvia's voice was soft and warm, that of someone who was concerned for her patients. When her companion spoke, it was more cold and clinical, although still friendly.

"Debra, we'll take this from here."

The Audino nodded, gently closing the door while Sandra settled into the chair. It allowed her to lean back a little, and she took the chance to better admire the two hybrids before her. Sylvia's simplified feet clattered on the floor when she walked, and she noted the apron she wore to compensate for her inability to don a full coat. The Luxray washed her hands with disinfectant, settling into a chair facing the human while Sylvia pulled her file up.

"I'm Doctor Walker, and you've probably already heard of Doctor Atlas."

"Jeanne, please, I like using my first name with patients." Sylvia called out, setting a laptop next to her coworker before taking her own seat.

"Ah, my apologies. Anyway, Sylvia will be your main caregiver today. I'm here to study under and assist her."

Walker nodded to Sylvia to continue, Sandra still a little tense.

"I understand that you made some specific requests, yes? About your, ah, sex?"

Sandra simply nodded, unable to admit to these strangers about her dysphoria directly, about how wrong her human body felt.

"Don't worry, I won't judge you. Hell, I'm in the same spot as you!"

Sandra leaned forward in surprise, looking into the unblinking eyes of her doctor.

"Wasn't that an accident, according to your papers?"

"It was, yes, but it helped me realize things about myself that I... had been in denial and misunderstanding about. It felt good at the time, but took me a bit to admit to other people."

Walker took over for her, skimming the file herself.

"I see you got through the emotionally hard part, figuring your ideal gender out, on your own, yes? I can't say I relate myself, but I'm always up to help with realizing your inner self. Just look at me, I was a whole foot shorter as a human!"

Seeing the two professionals relaxed, hearing them talk about their own stories, helped calm Sandra. She smiled softly at them, sitting upright.

"It wasn't that bad for me, figuring it out. The real issue was admitting it to folk, a lot of my theoretically supportive friends don't quite get it, you know?" Seeing the two nod along, she continued. "But yeah, I figure I might as well streamline the process for the physical half."

Sylvia giggled a little, brushing a hand down her chest. "And I see you opted for species changes too, but didn't have any in mind."

"Our facility has genetic samples from most species found in Paldea and many from other parts of the world," Walker added, "but we need to know what the right one for you is, if you're unsure."

"Don't worry about clothes, by the way, we've got a top-notch Leavanny ready to help make any adjustments." Sylvia added, leaning forward a little.

"Thank you." Sandra nodded, wiggling excitedly as she began to think about what she wanted from her body. "Well, um, I am a bit on the small side..."

Sylvia nodded, both doctors taking a few notes.

"Go on, dear."

"Um, this is embarrassing... but maybe I was thinking something soft, too? A body my girlfriend can hug and squish..."

Walker smiled, looking at Sylvia. She lifted up a small paper to her coworker, who nodded in approval. Looking back to her patient, she made her proposal.

"Perhaps a Snorlax morph, then? That species is naturally large, and between its fat and fur you'll be very huggable. Of course, in exchange you can expect to need both more sleep and more food."

Sandra blushed, her knees pinching together. It was hard to admit, but she did like that... she thought about having her partner snuggle up, gently feeding her snacks while they cuddled. It felt good, and right, in a way she'd only briefly considered before.

"I... I want that, yeah, that's perfect for me."

Sylvia smiled, passing a bundle of papers to the human.

"Alright! Before we start, we'll need you to sign these; just because the process is 99.5% safe doesn't mean there isn't a risk of the change not going right, plus there's still the legal issues being only half Pokémon bring..."

Sandra smiled, signing off on the papers eagerly. Her pen strokes were quicker than normal, her eagerness getting the best of her while the Luxray brought out a large gown. Returning the papers to Sylvia to file away, she turned to Walker, taking note of the fabric bundle.

"I assume you don't want to be naked for the change, and you can't wear those for it. This'll keep your front covered while our tailors get something better suited to your new body."

"Oh, thank you!" Sandra said, taking the gown, a small jolt coming from the doctor's fur as she touched it. Walker gave a small smile, pulling a wall-mounted screen out, a chair and table soon hidden from her view.

"You can change back there, and we'll give you the serum in the next room over. Sound good?"

Sandra nodded, quickly stepping behind the shield. When it came time to actually strip, she hesitated, uncomfortable looking at herself, nervous about how the doctors would still see her rear. Still, she thought about how good she'd feel after the changes finished, pushing through her mental block. Soon, she'd have a body that was easier to feel nice in, or at least that was her hope.

Slipping her arms into the gown, she noted how oversized it was; while the anthros only ranged past normal human sizes by a foot at most, she was going for a species known for size. On the positive size, she was able to tie it such that it covered her on all sides, while still loose enough to make room when she inevitably grew. Stepping back to the office, she saw the smiling, chitinous face of Sylvia, who quickly guided her into the proper medical room, sitting her on a reinforced bench.

Walker was already preparing a sample from what appeared to be a walk-in freezer, stepping outside the reinforced door with an injector in hand. As she loaded it, Sylvia took Sandra's hand in a gentle grip, explaining her process.

"Now, this will hurt when the injection itself is done, but it should be fine afterward."

Sandra nodded, preparing herself as she adjusted her sleeve. Walker was already finished her part of the preparations, and soon lent a paw to clearing a space on her arm to allow the injection. "Are you ready?" she asked.

"Yes."

With a quick press, the serum was shot into Sandra's bloodstream, her heart pumping it throughout her body. A burning sensation spread through her whole body, and it was only the comforting hold of the doctors that kept her from screaming out.

But just as quickly, the pain was gone. In its place was still heat, but it was comforting, relaxing, keeping her grounded and focused. Sylvia smiled, stepping back to allow the changing woman room to grow.

"This should take a few minutes, a half hour at most. Just relax and enjoy the changes." Walker explained, settling into a chair and checking her phone.

"It feels good, right?" Sylvia asked, her compound eyes gleaming in the room's sterile lighting.

Sandra simply nodded, looking down at her fingers. Her nails were growing larger, stronger, sharping, claws overtaking the tips as fur grew around them. She gave a few flexes, watching them move even as her arms began to fatten. Her toes wiggled as they went through a similar shift, nails covering the digits, several fusing together to leave her with just three.

"If you're worried about the claws, Sylvia's got a good physiotherapist to help with adjusting." Walked noted, watching Sandra's fascination with her new digits.

Already, the fur was starting to cover Sandra's body, a pale cream hidden under her gown while blue spread to the rest of her. Her existing hair was shifting to match, more tan fur coating her face. Her method of tying her gown in place worked as intended, letting it stay in place even as fat began to coat her body. Her belly, hips, chest, all swelling, muscles growing just under the fat to support her weight. She blushed as she squeezed her stomach, feeling the soft layers of fat, and the powerful muscles of a weightlifter below them.

She stood up, noting how, while only a little taller, she was already seeing things from a new angle. Her ears were pointed, slowly relocating; a pair of canines grew larger, forcing themselves from her mouth like small tusks. She giggled a little at the strange feeling of her nose shrinking, getting pulled into her fur as her changes settled.

Before the doctors had a chance to ask her how she felt, she pulled the two into a hug, each held tight by an arm as she started to cry. "Thank you, thank you..." she said, before releasing them.

Sylvia adjusted her wings, fluttering them a little while Walker tried to keep her composure. "You're welcome, dear. Now, let's get you some new clothes, yes?"

Sandra nodded, before letting out a small yawn. "Of course, doc. Let me, just, get some rest first..."

She sat herself down in a corner, before falling flat onto her back with another, louder yawn. Walker looked at Sylvia, before gently poking the new Snorlax a few times, looking for a response. They could tell she was still alive from her soft, steady breathing, but it was only with careful listening they could tell she'd fallen asleep on the spot, her new body's instincts having caught up with her.

"Let's just leave her here for now, I'll let Piper know to get the silk ready for when she wakes up and we can measure her." Walker suggested.

Sylvia nodded in agreement, as the doctors stepped outside to resume their work. Sandra simply smiled in her nap, her mind already starting to dream about the possibilities of her new form.
