Chapter 5 - A Quest for Gifts

Nova makes his own clothes by manipulating his body into making a comfortable looking varsity jacket, jeans, and even his own shoes.

"Perfect replicas of master's clothes! This should help me blend in with the other inhabitants of this planet."

After making his own clothes, Nova fully prepares to leave to find Kitt's favorite items.

"It should be quick and easy if I fly there!"

And so Nova takes to the skies, but the sky today has no clouds for him to hide in.

"No clouds to hide in today and master said I need to avoid attention as much as possible. So I must find another way to travel to the city. I know! Let me take a peek at master's memories for ways to get to the city."

Nova's eyes glow and the eye mask Kitt is wearing glows too and relays information about the layout of the city and how to travel around.

"Aha! There's a bus stop just a few steps away from here and then I need to wait for a bus to pick me up and take me to the city."

And so Nova makes his way to the bus stop and perfect timing too as a bus has stopped to pick up any commuters. Nova approaches the bus and the door opens and an old white dog with curly fur greets him.

"Ah hello young cat! Are you looking to take a ride to the city? I have enough passengers to have some people to ride the bus for free."

"Ah yes! I need to go to the city!"

"Then come and take a seat at the back!"

Nova boards the bus and the bus makes its way to the city.

"Wow, it's warm outside, but now it's cold in here. This planet's technology never ceases to surprise me."

Nova takes a seat at one of the free spots on the bus and admires the scenery.

"This planet is so pretty! I guess I never really appreciated how the forests look when I have been too far up in the sky to admire them."

Shortly after admiring the forests, the scenery slowly changes to the look of a modernized gray concrete city.

"Err... These buildings aren't very pretty... I think I like the forest more."

Nova complains internally about the blandness of the city and as he does so the bus driver makes an announcement.

"Alright everyone we are now just a minute away from the next bus stop to the city center so please be ready to depart."

"Oh! I'm almost there? I thought this slower form of traveling would take longer, but I guess I shouldn't underestimate things I don't know."

The bus finally makes its way to a bus stop at the city center and drops off all the passengers.

"Woah! The gray concrete buildings are shiny now!"

Nova is surprised by the transformation of the surroundings as it went from a green grassy forest to a plain row of buildings and now to small glass skyscrapers and condominiums.

"There's so many people here!"

Nova is bewildered by all the new people around him in the city center ranging from lions to tigers to leopards and many different colors of cat and dog furries and even spotting a prestigious race of dragons that looks almost like his true form, but scaly and with horns and some having bright colored fur instead of scales, but all the same for the distinct lack of magical power.

"Ah! I shouldn't be distracted! I must make my way west of here to the bakeshop with the white chocolate!"

Nova rushes out of the bus stop and makes his way to the direction of the bakeshop while admiring the different buildings on the way.

"That building over there has a massive computer on its side and another one is shiny and reflective! This place is wonderful, but why does master not live here? Maybe he likes the forests more because it's more peaceful?"

Lost in thought, Nova had already walked past the bakeshop where the white chocolate can be found.

"Wait! I had just passed the bakeshop oops!"

Nova quickly turns around and runs back to the bakeshop which he then enters and is greeted by a short pomeranian furry at the counter.

"Hello and welcome to PP's bakeshop! What would you like to buy?"

"I'm looking for a bar of white chocolate, do you have any?"

"Yes we do!"

The short pomeranian cashier gets a stool to pick through a cabinet full of sweets to find the white chocolate Nova is after.

"Here you go! That will be 10$."

"10$? Give me a moment please."

Nova rushes out of the store in a panic not knowing he was missing another important aspect of the planet he's on.

"10$? I forgot the inhabitants of this planet barter with paper currency! We used to trade with mineral rich stones back on my planet, but now how will I get some money?"

Nova looks through Kitt's memories even more to find a way to get money.

"There! Small machines called ATMs that dispense money with the write credentials. They have money already in them and criminals sometimes steal from it, but ultimately get caught... I know! I'll use my slime to assimilate the stored money and then spit them out when I need to use some!"

Nova then quickly runs around to find an ATM machine close by and spots one just a block away from the bakeshop.

"Here's one!" Nova approaches the atm and produces a thin, but steady stream of slime that

seeps into the machine.

"Just a little more..."

Nova accumulates enough slime in the machine to wrap it all up and absorb it into himself.

"I got it all! Now it's time to go back to that bakeshop."

After completely draining the ATM with his five minute robbery, Nova returns to the bakeshop with a restored 100$ bill in his hand.

"Little store clerk? I am back with money!"

"Ah! Perfect sir! Let me bag it up for you."

The pomeranian clerk takes the 100$ bill and gives Nova the chocolate and his change.

"Thank you!"

As Nova grasps the change and leaves, it melts into his hand which the cashier notices.

"Huh? Did the change I gave that cat just melt into his hand? Maybe I should stop drinking too much coffee..."

Nova leaves the bakeshop with the bag in hand to find the next item, manga books.

"A popular bookshop where master buys his manga is somewhere to the North where a mall is located. I'll find it now!"

And so Nova returns to the city center and goes north towards the big mall.

"Woah! This building is both shiny and has a giant computer on it!"

Nova approaches the entrance of the mall which are two sets of automatic doors for going in and out.

"How do you open this? There's no door knob!"

But as soon as Nova tries to reach for the door to open it, it automatically opens sensing his arm.

"Gah! It opened automatically! Does this planet have technology with the same powers as me?"

Nova reluctantly enters the mall once again surprised by many new sights.

"The inside is even prettier! There's stores with many different lights and decorations!"

Nova. who was now star-struck, suddenly shakes his head to remember what he's really here for.

"No! Don't get distracted! I'm here for manga and not to be mesmerized by lights! The bookstore is located on the second floor along with the store that has the Catsune Hiku figurines so how do I get up?"

Nova walks around a bit until he spots an escalator at one of the main centers of the mall.

"There's stairs over there! I can get up now!"

Nova boarded the escalator and was instantly surprised by its mechanics.

"These stairs are made of metal and move on their own? What amazing innovation!"

After ascending to the second floor, Nova makes his way to the bookshop.

"There it is! There are a lot of books on display, but none of them I recognize that master likes."

So Nova comes inside to take a look further.

"Hi, welcome to... whatever this place is called I forgot."

A tall gray wolf with visible signs of missing sleep greets Nova at the counter

"Hello then... Do you know where the mangas are?"

"They're on the very corner of the store. If you're looking to buy a lot of books just tell me so I can box them up for you."

Nova goes to the back in search of the manga section and finally finds it.

"There's so many! And all of them are master's favorites! But I can't possibly buy all of these at the same time as it would look too suspicious! But what if I just scan through these books and recreate them?"

And with Nova's powers, he scans all the books and saves all the contents in his mind.

"All saved and I didn't even have to pay for anything!"

Nova leaves the bookstore empty handed, but with knowledge of all the manga books.

"Huh, he didn't even buy anything and what was that glow at the back? Ehh, they don't pay me enough to report suspicious activity. He probably took pictures of them."

Nova's second gift has been acquired so he now goes to the merchandise store right next to the bookshop.

"So many cool characters here! What's this one's name? Meowgemine Mewka? And these two yellow cats? The Catamine twins, Ken and Nin! Master likes these too, but he loves Catsune Hiku the most!"

Nova brings four of these virtual poet figurines to the cashier and asks to pay for them.

"Hello! How much are these little cats?"

"All of them would be 850$ sir."

"850$?"

"Yes, they're collector items and many other cats like you would fight for them. Must be popular overseas too huh?"

"Don't worry, I can pay for them!"

Nova turns around and produces an eight 100$ bill and the 50$ bill he was given as change earlier.

"Here you go!"

"Wow, most people would hesitate to buy this much on figurines, but not you I guess."

The cashier bags up the figurines and gives it to Nova.

"Here you go and have a nice day."

Nova leaves while the cashier wonders, where did he get the money from and where did it come from when he didn't see him carry a wallet in his jeans. Maybe he had single bills in his jacket? But who would bring their money that way?"

After buying the figurines, Nova gets ready to return home.

"That's all of what master likes acquired! But for the mangas I need a medium to put the knowledge on and for that I need paper and ink."

Luckily, as Nova leaves the mall he spots an office supply store with everything he needs.

"Oh there's a paper and ink store over there!"

Nova crosses the street and arrives at the supply store.

"Um, hello where are the papers and ink?"

A fluffy young green dragon runs to the register of the supply store who then asks Kitt his needs.

"How much do you need, sir?"

"About... five thousand pieces of paper and twenty bottles of pen ink" "Five thousand? Do you want us to ship it to you instead?"

"No, I can carry them all myself."

The clerk returns to the employees room and rolls out ten containers of paper on a trolley along with the twenty bottles of ink.

"Are you certain that you can carry everything?"

"Yes I am sure."

"Well that will be 80$ sir."

Nova pays the clerk and leaves with his paper and ink.

"How did he carry all of that? Not even the strongest employee here can carry six at a time!"

After buying the paper and ink, Nova hides in an alleyway and takes the paper and ink into himself.

"All secured! Now, to get back home."

It's now almost 6PM and the clouds have returned to hide Nova if he flies, but chooses to take the bus home instead and arrives at the bus stop where coincidentally meets the same bus driver from before.

"Ah hello again, young cat. Are you looking to take a ride to the outskirts of the city?"

Yes please!"

"Well, I don't have a lot of passengers so you will need to pay the 2$ bus fare. Is that alright?"

"No problem at all!"

Nova hands over the money he had prepared beforehand to the bus driver and while he was entering, a hooded fox follows soon after and the bus takes off.

"Ahh... It's so good to get back to sight seeing again."

Nova's peace is interrupted as the hooded fox pulls out a gun and prepares to rob every passenger on the bus.

"Nobody moves! Anyone who moves gets shot! Give me all of your valuables now! If none of you comply, the driver gets shot!"

The passengers of the bus panic and hesitate whether to be robbed or let the bus driver die and of course, Nova did not let his threats slide.

"Hey, what do you think you're doing!"

"Hey are you braindead? I said nobody moves or the driver gets it!"

"What do you expect to gain from killing this kind bus driver?"

"Stop asking me! Grr, that's it! The driver is dying!"

"Not so fast!"

The fox shoots the driver, but the bullet never reaches him as it had been stopped by Nova using his telekinesis and drops to the ground.

"What the hell!"

The fox then aims at Nova, shooting four bullets into him, but these bullets did no damage at all and are absorbed into Nova's body.

"Weak, futile efforts."

Nova, visibly angry, reverts to his true form and with eyes now glowing, he grabs hold of the fox robber's entire body.

"If you ever think of taking another life then you should think about what happens when someone takes the life of one you love."

Nova lifts the fox into the air and proceeds to break thirteen bones on the fox's body.

"Ack! What the hell are you!"

"You don't need to know as you will forget what has happened today."

Nova renders the fox unconscious and takes the memories of his encounter on the bus.

"I've had enough of the rude people on this planet."

Nova transforms back into his orange cat form completely forgetting that there were several witnesses on the bus.

"Crap! I just exposed myself to all of these people. I'm sorry everyone, but you will all have to forget about me!"

Nova instantly puts every passenger on the bus to sleep and makes them forget Nova and the robbery.

"And that should be all the passengers. I'll take my leave early, sir driver!"

Nova opens the sturdy bus door by himself and flies off just in time before the police arrive at the scene.

"There are some troublesome people on this planet that I must protect master from now on. But not all are malicious like Will so I must be careful with who I hurt because if I hurt the wrong people master will get mad at me!."

The bus had only stopped half way back home so Nova had returned at a fast pace.

"Master! I am home!"

Kitt had been waiting in the living room, pondering if Nova had left him for good.

"Nova where have you been! I thought you had abandoned me for good and left this eye mask on me that I couldn't get rid off. And what are you doing wearing my clothes?"

"Oh! These are just replicas I made with my slime and why would you think of such thoughts master? I would never leave you! But I did leave for something special."

"So where did you go?"

"I went to the city to get gifts for you!"

"You went to get me gifts without any help or knowledge about the city or what I like?"

"Well... I had a little help using that eye mask I left you!"

"So... what does this eye mask do exactly and why can't I take it off completely?"

"I had it read your memories in your sleep to guide me through the city!"

"Did anything go wrong?"

"Nope! Except for when a rude fox tried to kill the driver of the bus I was riding in. Everyone saw me use my powers when I defended the driver so I had to erase their memories of me and left half way through the trip."

"You put a bunch of people to sleep? Sigh... well I'm glad you're okay and saved the passengers, but how did you get the money to even buy me things? Don't tell me you took my remaining money to buy stuff I don't necessarily need right now..."

"Nope! I went and withdrew money from an ATM."

"Using who's card?"

"What card?"

"Did you steal from the ATM?"

"I don't think it counts as stealing when it's so easily accessible."

"Nova, you're supposed to have a card to withdraw money with. You can't just go around stealing stuff no willy nilly! The security is designed for creatures like me and not a flexible slime dragon! Don't steal again, okay?"

"Yes master..."

"So did you get rid of the money you didn't need?"

"Nope, they're right here."

Nova returns to his original dragon form and produces multiple stacks of cash from his chest which drop from the floor.

"Ah! There's so much! How much did you steal?"

"There were two thousand shiny pieces of papers in the ATM when I took it all."

"And these are all 100$ bills... You took at least 200$k..."

"Is that a lot or a little?"

"It's too much! I can't be seen with this much money! It will look suspicious! Hide it in you again!"

And as his master shamefully requests, Nova takes in the large amount of cash he had stolen and stores it in his body.

"Okay so don't spend so lavishly with that money because if someone asks you where that money came from and you can't answer, they will get you arrested"

"Yes master!"

"Sigh... Always getting into trouble... So what's in the paper bags?"

"Take a look inside!"

Nova hands the two paper bags to Kitt which he opens with contempt thinking there was no way Nova would know everything he likes.

"White chocolate and four figurines of four of the most popular virtual poets! You really know what I like!"

"There's more!"

After giving the chocolate and figurines to Kitt, Nova starts producing many manga books from his chest amounting to almost thirty.

"Many of my favorite mangas! Don't tell me you stole these too?"

"Nope! I had read all of them and bought paper and ink to print them on using my body!"

"Thank you so much Nova!"

"No problem master!"

Kitt for the first time ever, goes to hug Nova which Nova thought was a sign to lend his body to Kitt.

"Ah! Nova! I just wanted to hug you!"

"Well this is the most affectionate hug we can have and I'm getting sleepy so..."

"So? Nova leave my body please..."

Nova's presence fades and Kitt is once again stuck with a slime dragon suit.

"Well no use in waking him up when he sleeps like a log when he decides to sleep. I guess I'll use this body's strength to carry these books back to my bedroom."

Kitt closes the lights of the living room and kitchen and carries the books upstairs and into his bedroom to inspect the mangas that Nova had bought for him.

"Nova really got everything! Faery Tale, Nyaki, Mew Peace, and the 6th part of Mew Mew's Crazy Travels!"

Kitt places the new mangas on an empty space on top of his bookshelf and turns to his computer to play some games on.

"Didn't Will say we should play that Drowned Gods game sometime? Let's see if he's online. Ah he is!"

Kitt messages Will to see if he has time to play.

"Hey Will, do you want to play the game you suggested?"

"Ah you want to play that game? Sure I'm down. But there's something about the New Year I want to talk about."

Kitt gulps down a mouthful of saliva, knowing what Nova had done to Will.

"What is it?"

"What happened at the time I went to the guest room to sleep? The last thing I remembered was your housemate coming up to me and everything else I forgot."

"I don't know, I was probably already asleep by the time he was in your room."

"The note you left on my nightstand seemed not out of the ordinary, but when I woke up, I was still extremely exhausted and my dick was sore. Did your friend suck me off when I was asleep?"

"Uh... Maybe?"

Kitt flushes as Will slowly pieces together the half truth about what happened to him.

"Then tell him to come over to my place some time!"

"What?"

"I probably enjoyed it and completely forgot. I didn't know your roommate was gay! So do you get it down in your free time?"

"What? No! I would never!"

"Come on... Just admit it, you're gay like him!"

"I'm not! I didn't even know he's into that!"

Kitt keeps playing a lie of denying Will's claims of homosexuality, not knowing Nova is more than just a gay cat.

"Well you got your answer. Shall we play now?"

"Yeah yeah yeah, I'll send you the buy link of the game."

Chapter 6 - Play in the Night

"So what's this game all about?"

"It's a roguelike permadeath game where you can explore a drying world to find ways to become the most powerful character in the game. The developers also pride themselves in saying that the game is a test of skill so no matter your level you can beat anything just by dodging. It's both online and offline and can be played with friends privately! I heard that the online mode is much harder as a lot of people want to kill you for your stuff and offline mode is boring because you don't have anyone to play with so let's start with an online private save."

"Alright then."

Kitt and Will boot up the game and start making their characters.

"Huh, I got a bee character. What about you Kitt?"

"I got a dragon!"

"Wow, that's so lucky! The dragon race only has a 1.9% chance of obtaining it and you got it on the first try without paying to reset!"

"You have to pay to change your race?"

"Yeah, but it's mostly cosmetic but the dragon race has a great passive that makes your element be twice as intense, but lasts half as long."

"So what magic element should I pick?"

"It's up to you, but the element you choose also changes the way your character looks so if you were to pick a fire element your dragon will be red and when choosing wind it will be white."

"I'll pick fire I guess since it reminds me of Nova."

"What characteristics does Nova have that he shares with fire?" "Very erratic and uncontrollable."

"Heh, I like it."

Will picks the ice element turning his character into an ice bee and the two finish creating their characters.

"So what do we need to do first?"

"We need to progress in the starter area first. Make sure to read the controls or else you won't know how to avoid taking damage."

"W, A, S, D, SPACE to jump, left click to do a weak attack and right click to do a critical and then Q to dodge and F to block, reducing incoming damage, okay got it."

Will and Kitt leave the starter spawn and makes their way to the starter area to farm slimes.

"Slimes? Typical starter monsters like always..."

"Yeah... They couldn't think of a better monster to be used as the starter monster. They're lazy too as the toughness of the slimes are dependent on the color with blue being the weakest and red being the strongest, being able to use fire spells and so on."

After killing a few hundred or so slimes in the span of two hours, the duo have finally reached the required level to move on to the intermediate zone, but as luck would have it, they encounter a yellow slime, the second strongest monster in the beginner zone that uses thunder magic and are usually only recommended to be fought by ending beginners, but even then those that fight it will still have a hard time.

"Kitt! Be careful! That slime is still dangerous even with our intermediate level stats!"

"Yeah I noticed, all the blue slimes around us suddenly fled when it showed up."

"Well, get ready to attack!"

Will summons four blue portals that latch onto the thunder slime which summons spikes that pierces it.

"I got it! Wait, it did almost no damage at all!"

"Let me try!"

Kitt's dragon unleashes a blast of fire from his palm, but this seems to have no effect on the thunder slime as well.

"No damage! What can we do?"

"It's weak to water and physical damage, but going in for a swing is risky and my attacks are completely ice and disappear before they melt!"

"Wait! Then let's combine our attacks to turn your ice spears into water spears!"

"Good thinking!"

Before Kitt and Will could come together to launch a combined attack, the thunder slime would not simply let itself be defeated without fighting back and so, calls upon the fury of the storms setting in dark clouds and striking the two with thunderbolts.

"Gah! That hurt! I'm almost dead!"

"Let's hide and heal!"

The thunderbolts knocked away the duo quite a substantial distance and with this silver lining, they ran behind some trees to use healing potions.

"We don't have enough potions to heal to full! We need to attack now or we will die and lose everything!"

"Then let's give it all we've got!"

Kitt and Will rush out of the cover of the trees and rush towards the thunder slime while charging up their attacks to combine together.

"Water... Jet!"

Will's ice spike is melted by Kitt's fire which turns into a fast moving stream of water, capable of cutting through stone, but due to the two's obvious plan of attack, the thunder slime easily avoids it and launches a counter attack.

"We missed!"

"Well see you in the next run I guess!"

The two then get vaporized by a more concentrated lightning attack brought by the thunder slime, ending their game early.

"Why does that thing exist in low level areas?! How are you supposed to fight that alone?"

"Well they did say the game was hard, but that was just unfair!"

"I know right! Ugh... I'm tired and I don't think I'll play this game again unless they balance that out and maybe even more of the enemies we haven't seen."

"Aww... well, see you soon. Goodnight Kitt!"

"You too Will."

Kitt logs off for tonight and rests on his bed.

"That game was too hard... And you can beat every enemy with skill? What nonsense!"

Kitt goes to sleep angrily from his experience with the game forever remembering it as a bad memory, but Kitt's frustration had been observed by Nova who was still on his body the whole time while he was playing.

"Master seems upset... Maybe I can cheer him up with a pleasant dream?"

Nova separates from Kitt and turns into his small slime form and rests on Kitt's head, slightly melting and covering his eyes.

"Sweet dreams master!"

Nova's slime body glows a bright pink before melting even more which covers Kitt's cheeks and neck.

"It's so warm... Huh? What's this? Sand? I'm at the beach?"

Nova had made Kitt dream about the beach to reduce his stress from his awful experience with the game he played earlier.

"How did I get here? It must have been Nova... But why the beach?"

A voice calls out to Kitt over the horizon.

"Hey Kitt! Come join me for a swim!"

Will was the one calling out to him, wearing nothing but a pair of swimming trunks and carrying a beach ball.

"Will? What are you doing here?"

"What do you mean? You asked if you and Nova could come to the beach with me! How could you not remember?"

"Well I don't even remember how I got here, but where's Nova?"

"She went and picked up some coconut juice for us. Look! Here she is now!"

"Wait, she?"

Instead of a shiny dragon with a male physique, Nova in Kitt's dream is a tall red female dragon with no powers, but has respectable female proportions and is now covered in fur instead of shimmering slime and wearing an orange bikini.

"Hello Kitt! Here's your drink and here is Will's."

"You're not calling me master anymore?"

"Huh? When did I ever call you master? It's not like we're in a relationship or anything..."

"Yeah Kitt, you shouldn't be telling Nova to call you master when you haven't even proposed yet."

"That's not what I meant! Nova was a-"

but before Kitt could send out a rebuttal, the female Nova gave him a quick kiss which made Kitt freeze up out of embarrassment.

"Enough chit-chat! Let's play on the beach!"

"Come on Kitt! You've had enough to rest anyways so get up and play with us!"

Will and Nova pulls up Kitt and drags him out of the shade to play in the sea.

"Okay pass the ball around and don't let it drop in the water! The person who drops the ball in the water has to pay for the drinks I ordered!"

"I'm not losing today!"

Nova serves the ball to Will and Will bounces it to Kitt.

"Oh I'm not paying either!"

The three have the time of their life playing in the sea until someone inevitably fails to catch the ball.

"Looks like Will is paying! Haha!"

"Man... I didn't want to spend even more money after treating you two during this vacation."

"Well sucks to suck!"

Nova playfully taunts Will's misfortune.

"Well looks like that's all the fun we can have because the sun is setting. Let's go back to our rooms and sing some karaoke songs!"

"Oh yeah! Our room also has a karaoke machine in it. Come on Kitt!"

The three wash off and switch to new clothes and return to their room to sing some songs.

"What songs are you into Kitt?"

"Well... it's complicated..."

"Yeah the songs Kitt listens too are too modern for karaoke machines because they mostly contain songs from the 80s to the early 10s. So what about you Nova?"

"Well I love singing love songs and my favorite is Ran Out of Love by Aer Surprise."

"A classic love song huh? Then sing for us!"

Will inputs the song code for Nova and Nova starts to sing,

"Ohh I've ran out of love, I'm so gone without you!"

And while singing, Nova looks at Kitt every time the song's lyrics mention a person.

"Were you looking at me on purpose?"

Kitt blushes having caught up to Nova after she finished singing.

"No I was just admiring your... handsome face..."

"Hey I'm still here don't flirt in front of me okay? It's my turn to sing!"

"So what are you gonna sing Will?"

"I'll sing a popular song by the King of Pop, Mewchel James on."

Will inputs a song code which generates the song Kriller.

"Hey this song is pretty popular in the Halloween season!"

"Yep! Now listen!"

Will could perfectly sing in tune with only the given instrumental and without any aid with the lyrics.

"Wow! You memorized the entire thing! You must really like this song!"

"Yeah, I'm a big fan of the King of Pop. So Kitt, it's your turn to sing!"

"No thanks, I think I want to do something else."

"Then we could go out and find some shiny stones at a cove not too far from here! Some people have found diamonds that could pay for their trip here tenfold!."

"No thanks, I'll just rest for now."

"Aww, what about you Nova? Do you want to find diamonds with me?"

"I'm getting pretty tired too. I'll get some rest instead."

"Well it looks like I'm the only one getting rich tonight. Your losses!"

Will turns off the karaoke machine and heads out to find some gems to hopefully repay for the money he spent on the trip.

"Uh... Nova? Why is Luna on the floor bleeding and injured? And why are there guards all around us?"

"This fox had violated you master! So I shall make her pay for what she has done..."

Max and Mina had arrived at the scene, trying to talk with Nova who they thought was still Kitt in control.

Nova reluctantly obliges, giving Kitt control of the body and making his energy scythe disappear. Seeing that Kitt had disarmed himself, Mina comes closer to Kitt to talk about why he attacked Luna.

Two nurses with a stretcher carry Luna away while Max and Kitt walk together to find a new empty living quarters.

"Pretty impressive show of power there Kitt!" "Huh? That wasn't me, that was Nova!"

"This Nova guy eh? Is he like your alter ego?"

"No, he's my servant that I found sucking on me one night and after that, he showed me his powers and asked to be my servant because he was indebted for letting him suck on me to replenish himself. "Yes, your bloodline from the first glance seems like there's nothing special, but in reality, your family were descendants of a legendary explorer whose children would be fated to follow in his path to explore and develop the world."

"Probably because she didn't want to pass down the burden of being an adventurer like your sister and wanted you to have a normal life in the modern age."

After a bit of talking, the two finally found an empty living quarters to settle in.

"Alright Kitt, go take a rest a bit inside. If you're hungry, I'll grab some food for you in the meantime. I know you must be really weak from your forced sex with Luna so I'll bring something special."

Max leaves Kitt in the room alone to finally have peace and quiet and to talk to Nova.

"Nova? Are you there?"

"I do not know master because I haven't actually used up all my power in a fight. The light show I displayed at the New Year's party was just six percent of my power and the weapons I used against Luna was just a quarter of my full power."

"Do you think you would ever be forced to use it all?"

"I do not think so. Maybe there is another creature as powerful as me here in this world, but if they were to try and attack you, I will use up all my strength just for you!"

"You're very protective over me Nova, maybe too protective."

"I do not ever want to lose you master! Whoever it is, I'll protect you no matter what!"

"So... What were Luna's powers?"

"She could summon blue flames which turned into weapons and also summoned a fox head to breathe balls of fire. I don't know how powerful any of them were as I simply did not let them hit me. Oh! And she can also turn her blue fire into armor which still wasn't a match for my power."

"Have you tried copying that ability?"

"Yes I already have! Let me show you!"

The third eye on Kitt's head opens up and glows, suddenly producing light around his body which condenses into armor which looks a lot like a samurai's armor, but is decorated with red dragon scales and a helmet with horns.

"Woah, so cool! And it's pretty light too! How strong is this I wonder?"

"I hope we do not need to know, but I can assure you it will protect you from any damage!"

"And you can make weapons too, right?" "I can! What would you like me to form?"

"Hmm... Could you make a longsword?"

"Alright! Hold your hand into the air and I'll get started."

Kitt raises his hand into the air as if he's holding an invisible weapon and after a moment, Nova forms a curved sword of light on his hand. "Wow! It's very light! But does this even do damage?"

"Ah! I advise you not to swing it around because-"

Nova had warned Kitt a little too late and he had swung the sword into the air, summoning slicing blades of energy like Nova did before which pierce the walls of the room, but luckily did not completely demolish it.

"Phew, It's a good thing I limited the power."

"Oops! I hope Max is okay with this..."

Coincidentally enough, Max had returned with a box of pizza at roughly the same time and caught Kitt in the act.

"Hey Kitt, I'm back! What was that noise? And why are there cut marks on the wall? And where did you get that suit of armor!"

"Ah Max! I'm so sorry about the damage! I was just testing out Nova's abilities!"

"In here? No way! If you want to try out your powers then follow me to our training grounds! Come on, follow me!"

Still carrying the box of pizza, Max guides Nova to their training grounds just a few steps from the rooms.

"Here we are!" The training grounds is absolutely massive with many different machines for swordsmanship and marksmanship and also had other beasts sparring as well.

"Woah! There's so many people here!"

"Yeah, recruits are trained here and are put into squadrons that are sent out as teams when they're needed. We'll go into one of the special chambers specially designed for destructive tests. But first, let's eat!"

Max lays down the big box of pizza on a nearby table and opens it and inside it contained two flavors which are pepperoni and creamy spinach. At the sight of the delicious pizza, Kitt couldn't help but drool a little which Max notices.

"Haha! You must be really hungry! Don't worry, I'll just take a slice and you can have the entire box if you want."

And so Kit hungrily ate the entire rest of the pizza, and after doing so, his stomach bulged a little, but eventually all the pizza he ate dissolved in his stomach.

"Ah... So tasty!"

"You really liked it huh? There's more food at the cafeteria, but they aren't serving any more until breakfast rolls around."

"What time is it anyways?"

"It's 2AM" "What? It's so late! But I'm still not sleepy so I guess we can test out Nova's powers."

"Alright, follow me to the special chamber."

The special chamber was at the very end of the basic training grounds and was sealed by a strong door which was operated by a black cat behind a control room.

"Ah! Sir Max! What brings you here today?" "I'm here with Mina's brother to have some testing inside"

"Mina's brother? I thought civilians weren't allowed to be here?"

"Oh, he's not a civilian anymore. He's more like a special grade beast."

"Hm? What happened to him?"

"Well, the monster that Mina was sent to hunt was actually under the care of Kitt as his servant and he let him merge with him after an unfortunate event that would be too weird to talk about. Just open the door will you?"

"Right away!"

The special training grounds was absolutely colossal and was completely white and had square patterns all over the room which were almost a quarter of a kilometer long.

"Now, show me the extent of your abilities." "Really? I don't even know how to hold a sword properly!"

"What? You don't even know how to hold a sword?" "Well yeah, I don't fight for a living."

"So... Do you want me to teach you?"

"You can really teach me how to fight?"

"Yeah I can and even if you aren't a fighter, this could be a useful skill to learn when you're back to normal."

"Then teach me please!"

Max signals to the black cat from before who was observing them to summon two wooden swords for them to practice with. Max taught Kitt all the basic principles of sword handling which he quickly picked up at a fast pace thanks to Nova's ability of copying.

"Now, try hitting me once. If you hit me once then you win! But I won't go easy on you and even if you tell Mina I don't care."

"Master, let me handle this."

"Huh? Nova? I need to be the one to do it!"

Nova takes over to be the one to fight Max and lunges towards him at a blinding speed, instantly hitting him on the shoulder and unfairly winning.

"Gah! That's not fair! Nova was the one who fought me, not Kitt!"

"Ah! I'm so sorry Max! Nova just took over for me without asking."

"Sigh... It's fine, just try again for real this time."

Kitt is the one who fights for real this time, but now that he is the one in control, he couldn't utilize his combined body to the fullest and Max's proficiency and experience lets him block, parry, and dodge all of Kitt's attacks without a sweat.

"Try harnessing your body's power Kitt! You're barely faster or stronger than a normal cat!"

Kitt, who was frustrated by his lack of skill and inability to hit Max without Nova's help, takes his advice and starts to focus, gripping his sword and closing his eyes while having a feel for every muscle on his body. After concentrating, Kitt launches another barrage of attacks, this time faster and stronger from before but still not enough to land a hit on Max.

"Getting better now! But still not enough!"

This time instead of relying on a combination of speed and power, Kitt concentrates on his speed and once he had closed the gap with Max, he switches to exerting his full strength and takes a swing at Max which he tries to block but fails.

"Ack!"

Kitt had exerted too much strength in his strike and broke the sword Max had used to block his attack and his sword hit him so hard that he fell to the ground and was disoriented.

"Oops! Max are you alright? I put a little too much strength into that blow."

"Oof... Yeah... I'm fine... Just a little bruise, nothing to worry about" The black cat seeing Max injured, summons a medical kit in front of him to treat himself with Max waving back as a thank you.

"Alright, while I'm patching myself up, bring out Nova to show me your powers."

"Nova? Show Max what you're capable of!"

Kitt let's Nova out to play and the first thing Nova did was use his telekinesis to help heal Max's head wound.

"Ah! Thank you Nova! So I assume you have the power of telekinesis like Mina's report mentioned?"

"Yep, but of course, I can do more than that."

Nova grasps at the air and starts raising his fist up and down and a strange movement comes from Max's pants.

"Ahah... What are you doing Nova..."

Nova had used his telekinesis to stroke Max's penis, making him fall over from pleasure, but immediately stopped before he could wet himself.

All the weapons swing into the air and produce the same destructive blades of light from the fight with Luna and which made a massive explosion once it hit the wall in the distance.

"Hmm... I don't really see the extent of it. I'll call the operator to recreate a small town for you to destroy."

Max then signals back to the black cat to construct a virtual recreation of a town for Nova to test his powers on.

"There, try it now."

Nova disperses his weapon and instead flies up into the air and charges a small ball of energy which speeds off into the middle of the fake town and after a slight delay, the attack finally connects and completely vaporizes the simulated town and even cracked the tough floor where the explosion went off.

"Absolutely incredible! I can't believe you hadn't destroyed an entire city before Mina had found you."

"Well, master said to never hurt or do anything to anyone with no good reason so I am usually careful with my powers."

"I heard you're very good at mimicking, can you try and copy my body?" Nova approaches Max and licks a bit of blood that he had shed from his injury and transforms into him, with tiger stripes and big limbs and everything!

"Woah! A perfect copy! Even the fur texture! But did you also..."

Max tugs on Nova's pants and takes a peek at his copied genitalia.

"Damn! Still small... I guess you can turn back now..."

After turning back into their combined form, Nova shows off his tentacles that he had sprouted from his back which had all kinds of tentacles including his mouthed one and the spiked one he used to attack Luna .

After Nova retracted his tentacles, an earpiece on one of Max's ears notifies him of something important.

"Alright so, Mina just told me that she's done with her meeting and has another mission, this time she wants you to come with her so you wouldn't just be wandering around in here like a lost kid."

"And what are we doing and where are we going?"

"She said she needed to investigate an ancient artifact that was revealed at a tundra. And since it's cold, Luna will also come with us, but I hope she doesn't kidnap you and run away."

"Uh... Alright then, I'll come."

"Good, let's make our way back to the lobby."

The two leave the testing chamber and return to the lobby where the damage from before has been covered up and is already being repaired. Shortly after arriving, the two meet back with Mina and Luna who has fully recovered

"Hey Kitt! What have you been up to while I was gone?"

"Oh! Max taught me how to sword fight!"

"Really? Seems like you're getting ready to work here. Hah! Just kidding, but if you really want to, I can apply you as a rookie under my wing and work with me and leave that awful news report job." "And leave Will forever? Hell no!"

"Don't worry, we have holiday breaks too."

"Still not looking to work here, I don't even have any real fighting experience! How am I supposed to help in your mission?"

"Aside from bringing you with me so you don't just stay here and do nothing, Nova's powers might be useful as a usual psychic bring I would take with me is on leave so I'll have you as his replacement."

"Alright then, so where do we go now? Do we take the portal?"

"No silly! We'll go to the hangar and take a helicopter to fly there." And so the four make their way to the hangar which is actually some ways above ground and with it being the only surface part of the base which also acts as the entrance for regular employees.

"It's almost dawn and wow! We're in a forest all this time? And there's so many helicopters and planes here!"

"All supplied by the government since we didn't really have any company to approach without looking suspicious of what we're doing with the aircrafts. Go to the helicopter that's revving up and I'll be with you shortly."

Mina leaves to talk to some of the hangar employees so the three board the helicopter to wait and without even noticing, Luna had sat next to Kitt and laid her tail on him.

"Umm... Luna? Your tail is in the way... can you... remove it... ough... so sleepy again... zzz..."

Luna's tail had cast a sleeping spell on Kitt once again and picked him up and laid him on her lap like a sleeping child.

Max browses on his phone, looking for the latest news and mission orders and still getting connection in the air while also being in the middle of a forest that is quickly flying to somewhere even more remote.

"Thanks for caring Max, but this fox is so clingy to master that I do not want her anywhere near him ever again!"

"Hmph! If you weren't here I would have no problem putting everyone to sleep and having Kitt all to myself!"

"Hey! What's all the commotion about?

Mina had noticed Nova and Luna's argument about Kitt and scolded them.

"Don't be moving around so much and stop making so much noise! Can't you calm down? We're almost here."

The three look outside to see that the originally green forest had disappeared and there were now leafless trees around them which quickly transitioned into that of the scenery of a tundra.

"Hey we're here!" The helicopter makes a landing at a flat field and the four disembark to start their mission.

"Huh, it's not very cold at the moment so why bring Luna with us? And where are we supposed to look for anyways?"

"The mission details say that a hunter who was on his way back home from a hunt stumbled upon a massive flight of stairs that he knew hadn't been there before which led down to a massive labyrinth which he initially explored, but was frozen by some sort of magic trap. His body was frozen solid, but was still barely alive and was found by his fellow hunters and resuscitated back to good health. Before being frozen, he reported seeing two figures; one being small and had a glowing stick and the other was a beast in a full suit of armor that seemed transparent from far away."

"Huh, so we have to find the entrance to some weird underground maze that appeared completely randomly to someone?"

Mina and Max ponder about how they should start their mission while Luna and Nova are on the sidelines still bickering with each other. "Come on Nova, let me play with Kitt just a little longer!"

"No! I am not letting you touch his body anymore!"

Nova runs off a short distance from Luna and now that her tail wasn't around Kitt, Kitt slowly woke up from his dream.

"Master! You're awake! We are in a tundra right now where our mission location is. Max and Mina are currently discussing about what to do while I have been protecting your body from Luna."

Nova gives up control to Kitt and returns to Luna and tries to reason with her. "Are you ready to be a good boy now?"

With Kitt wrapped up in her tails, Luna carries him around her back and returns to Mina and Max.

"So... We can probably find it using Nova's telekinesis or just letting him raze the ground until we find it. But it just randomly appeared to the hunter so we could probably just go walk around until it finds us."

"That's also a possibility. Oh hey Luna, where's Kitt?"

"Right here."

"What are you doing to him? Put him down!"

"Huh? What's that?"

"Luna! You bitch! Let go of my brother, now!"

Mina summons a spear of ice and throws it at Luna which she barely dodges and cuts a bit of her hair.

"Hey! You don't have to kill me for me to put him down!"

"Then let go of him right now!"

"I will, I will!" Luna lets go of Kitt and from there he immediately wakes up on high alert."

"Ah! Luna! Stop! I don't want to sleep!"

Kitt then runs behind Mina crying, expressing his discomfort around her.

"Mina, can you tell Luna to stop? I don't like it when she puts me to sleep!"

"Yeah, I will. And if she does it again without asking I'll kill her."

"No! You don't have to kill her! Just make her stay far away from me okay?"

"Alright."

Kitt huddles up with Max while Mina scolds Luna.

"I swear to god Luna! If you do that one more time without Kitt's approval I'll cut off one of your tails until you'll only have one left." "Ah! No! Not my tails! I'm sorry!"

"You tell that to Kitt, not me!"

After talking to Luna, Mina gathers up everyone and briefs them about her plans to find the artifact.

"Alright, since the entrance to this underground labyrinth seems to appear randomly, we'll look around for it in twos, Max and Kitt, you go together while me and Luna will be together. Try looking at any unusual shape on the ground or any snow that seems too deep to walk on normally."

The group splits into two teams and go their own way.

"Max, how can you constantly work with Luna when she's like this all the time?"

"Well to me she isn't. Luna wasn't even interested in me in any way even when we three were first paired together. She must have a real thing for young cats even though your age for a normal cat is already old, but for her it's just as much as a young kitsune."

In the distance, Mina and Luna also talk about the two.

"So are you looking to have a partner sometime in the future? Probably not, I was hoping for Kitt to get a girlfriend, but the one he was dating rejected him."

"That's tough... But he's free now so he should start dating me instead!"

"Not gonna happen unless you miraculously convince him and even then hybrid beasts haven't been observed to exist. The closest thing we have are wolf dogs and cat tigers or cat leopards and never dog cats or fox cats. Maybe there's something we haven't found out about the anatomy of gods or mythical creatures that would allow these hybrids to exist."

"I could stop it with my flames but... I don't think I will."

"If you can stop it then do so!"

"Nope!"

Mina, angry at the possible tainting of their bloodline, grabs three of Luna's tails and threatens to cut them all if she doesn't comply.

"Eek! Alright I'll burn them!!"

Luna complies and Mina lets go of her tails. Luna's abdomen produces a faint blue glow from the burning of her fertilized egg.

"There, are you happy now?"

"You better not have sex with him again or I'll cut off all of your tails!" "Nine hundred years of searching for the perfect husband and you ruined it!"

Luna runs off crying for having her only chance to have the perfect children ruined by Mina.

"Whatever, she'll be back soon enough. She has to have experienced this before unless she wasn't lying and has been single her entire life."

Back to Max and Kitt, they have stumbled upon a weird patch of snow that Mina had told them to look out for which they disturb and break. And luckily enough, the snow breaks and opens up to a huge descending staircase.

"We found it! I'll radio Mina to notify her."

Max radios Mina and after a short while, the two ladies head to where the two found the staircase.

"So this is it huh? Pretty chilly and dark."

"I'll help with that."

Luna snaps her fingers and a blue flame appears above everyone's head, protecting them from the cold and illuminating the way.

"Huh, I don't feel any different."

Nova, who had been floating around space for a very long time, had gained a very strong resistance to the cold so when the two merged together, Kitt had also inherited Nova's resistance to the elements.

"So? Ladies first!"

"Shut up Max, just go."

Max leads the way down the stairs and through the icy labyrinth while contemplating how they're going to find the artifact they have been sent to retrieve.

"What does it even look like?"

"It's apparently a staff of frost that can summon harsh snow storms with ice magic. There wasn't a problem like this in the region until now so someone must have found it and have been using it to cause trouble like freezing random people and maybe more."

The group wanders around the labyrinth which is filled with many skeletons that wield rusted swords and spears while some rooms directly resemble the rooms of a castle with one being a dungeon and one being an armory. One thing the labyrinth's rooms have in common is that they are all being illuminated by a dim torch that seems to radiate cold instead of fire. After taking different routes with no real progress, they eventually stumble upon an impasse of a caved in hallway.

"Huh, a dead end. Let's go back and try another way then."

As the group turns around, the two figures mentioned in the report appear behind them.

"Crap, it must be them."

Everyone begins to get ready to fight with Max baring his claws, Mina preparing magic spells, Luna making weapons of fire and Nova preparing Kitt his armor and curved sword. The small figure seems to have been the one that has been using the ice staff to freeze unsuspecting travelers and cause the harsh snowstorms so Mina launches her binding spell at the figure, but the bigger figure deflects the chain. The impact of the deflected chain caused a spark bright enough to illuminate the identity of the two with the small figure being a young orange Persian cat while the tall figure was nothing but a floating suit of armor controlled by a gray wolf spirit.

"What the? A ghost?"

The opposing force wastes no time in launching their own counter attack with the young cat casting a spell that freezes the entire room and the wolf spirit picking up two rusty blades from the floor and rushing towards the group.

"Let me handle this!"

Max gets into a hand to hand combat with the wolf spirit only using his strong claws to attack and block its attacks. After freezing the entire room, the young cat produced spikes of ice which it made protrude from the floor where the other three were standing.

"What a tricky cat! But your simple spells of ice are no match for my blue fire!"

Luna launches her flaming weapons at the cat, but they simply countered them with their own weapons of ice.

"Hm... I guess that was too simple, so how about this!"

Luna forms her giant fox head to spew more intense fire at the young cat with the young cat retaliating with its own charged attack with it being a giant ice serpent which puts out all of Luna's flames and bites her giant fox head dispelling it.

"Gah! It actually beat my fox head! I can still resummon it, but I need to conserve energy to keep our flames lit or we'll all freeze to death!"

Luna falls back to concentrate on keeping their flames lit to prevent their deaths from the cold so Kitt gets ready to be on the offensive.

"Then it's my turn!"

Kitt rushes in with his curved blade, quickly surprising the cat by speedily closing the gap between them, but Kitt is blasted away by a shockwave from the staff.

"Mina! I need some help here!"

Max had been continuously fighting the wolf spirit all this time, but since he is still a living breathing person, his stamina does not last forever unlike someone who is already dead.

"Right away!"

Mina tries to relieve some pressure from Max by distracting the wolf spirit with her magic, but it's as if the wolf spirit has no problem fighting both of them at the same time with Mina's help barely making a difference.

"Mina! Use the enhancing spell!"

Mina casts the enhancing spell on Max, slightly energizing him while making him glow red with the claws on his arms and legs glowing a deep red. With the enhancing spell Max is able to match the wolf spirit once again while slowly getting the upper hand in terms of speed and power with the wolf spirit's old swords slowly being chipped away. Not all has been won though as Kitt had been knocked away by the staff wielding cat, but swiftly gets back on his feet.

"Wow! This armor is very strong, but it still stung when I hit the wall. But enough talking, surrender now little cat!"

Kitt swings his sword into the air, launching his blades of light at the cat which it tries to block with their ice serpent, but was ultimately cut apart and thawed back to water.

"No! I can't lose like this!"

The cat, shocked by Kitt's power, runs away leaving the wolf spirit to fight by itself.

"Hey! Come back here!"

Kitt gives chase to the cat while the other three tries their best to finish off the wolf spirit.

"It's a ghost? Then my flames can eat it away!"

Max stalls the wolf spirit just enough until Luna could charge a wave of fire as a finishing blow and with the perfect timing, Max disengages and lets Luna launch her attack, completely disintegrating the armor leaving the wolf spirit to have no vessel to cling on to and fades away.

"Huff... huff... So did we win?"

"Not yet, Kitt gave chase to the cat using the ice staff so let's hurry up and go after them!"

The three leave the frozen room to find where Kitt and the young cat had gone off to.

"How is he so fast?"

"She isn't fast master, you are simply forgetting to use our body properly again!"

"Huh? I am?"

Kitt focuses properly on running this time quickly catching up to the little cat and pounces on them to catch them.

"I got you! No more running little cat! Huh? It's a girl?"

"Kiya! I'm sorry for taking your toy, you can have it back! Now let me go!" The cat lets go of the ice staff which Kitt takes while the other three finally find them both at the main hallway near the entrance.

"You caught him! Erm... her. What is such a young cat doing with an artifact while being in the middle of a tundra and inside of a disappearing labyrinth?"

Mina points out.

"Yeah and who was that wolf spirit you were with? You had to know who he is, but I guess you wouldn't answer us now since we just killed him."

"You killed Gab? That's impossible! Oh! There he is!"

"Huh? Where?"

The three turn around but see nothing.

"Me and Gab have been bound together since we were little so when he died protecting me from an avalanche, his spirit continued to live with me, but if he does not have anything to possess, only I can see him."

Kitt lets the cat stand up while still grabbing hold of her arm

"This cat is friends with a ghost? So what's your name?"

"My name is Eve! I mean- I have no name! Now let go of me!"

"Getting difficult are we? Well, I have something that will make you talk."

Mina takes out one of her truth serums and injects it to Eve to get her to talk.

"Ow! What was that?"

"So your name is Eve and your ghost friend's name is Gab, Do you know anyone else other than him?"

"We have been living alone together ever since our small town was engulfed by snow and when a majority of us perished, everyone left alive who I knew had split up to live their own way. Ah! Why am I saying this? I don't know anyone!"

"Hmm... How did you conjure this labyrinth out of nowhere and use the ice staff at such a young age?"

"I came from a secret town of forgotten magic practitioners and I was gifted to be taught a spell that lets me recreate any place I have been to, with one of them being an old magical tomb that my parents took me to study with. No! Stop saying things Eve!"

"Looks like you aren't holding up too well against the truth serum. I'll ask you one more question then, where did you find the staff and why did you use it to freeze a hunter and cause snow storms?"

"I found it embedded in a stone inside a cave not too far from here while out gathering food with Gab. Gab taught me how to use it, but I went too far and caused some snow storms. I froze the hunter because I got scared by his sudden appearance inside our little space. Ah! I'm sorry about the hunter! I didn't mean to hurt him! Is he alright?"

"So the culprit was just a young cat who lost everything to the snow while ironically finding a weapon of ice and destruction. We'll have to take you with us for further study along with your friend Gab so I hope you can also tell him to come with you. Don't worry, we'll give you a place to stay and all the things you need."

"What? I can come with you? Me and Gab would be delighted to have a place to stay! I mean, no we're fine living in the wild and we don't need any material things! What's that Gab? You want to take a chance with them? Alright fine..."

"Alright then let's get out of here first."

The four leave the icy labyrinth with the sun slowly setting and with Eve obediently following them while also observing their odd characteristics.

"Hey tiger, why do you have cat ears? Aren't tigers supposed to have round ears?"

"Oh, I'm not a tiger. I was cursed by an evil spirit to have the characteristics of a tiger, but I'm still a cat."

"Hmm, what about you six ears? How do you have so many ears and two tails?"

"I'm actually two people in one. I merged with my servant who is a slime after an unfortunate decision I made while I was drunk." "Slime? What's that?"

"It's probably for the best if you don't know."

"Woah! Hey tall fox! How do you have so many tails?"

"Wouldn't you like to know little cat?"

"Yes I would!"

"Just feel some of my tails and I'll tell you."

Eve excitedly plays with Luna's many tails not knowing that they can put any beast to sleep.

"Wow! They feel just like the tail of one of my friends I knew who was also a fox! And it's so fluffy... I just want to... touch them... Gab.. do you want to touch them too... zzz..."

Before Eve could fall to the ground, Luna quickly catches her and carries Eve around with her tails.

"Why can't you take a break from putting cats to sleep?"

"I probably just have a thing for young cats. But this little cat is too young to be using magic so I'm doing her a favor by letting her rest a bit."

The group makes their way back to the flat field where a helicopter has been waiting for them. They get on and make their way back to the secret base with the artifact and the culprit in hand, completing their mission.

"Ah... We're finally back. I kinda miss the cold though, but I guess the air conditioning inside can work."

"Luna, can you put the kid down now? You don't have to keep carrying her all the way to the holding room."

"Alright sure."

Luna wakes up Eve before setting her down, but it seems like Eve really enjoyed her tails maybe even too much.

"Ah! No my dream about your tails! They're so fluffy I dreamt about having them! Ahahaha! So fluffy!"

"She's absolutely hooked on my tails. Should I just put her back to sleep for now?"

"Yeah sure I guess."

"So fluffy, so fluffy, so fluffy! I want to have tails like this! Can you tell me how to... get these... ah... back to dreaming..."

Luna continues carrying Eve and the four get on board the elevator they took before which descends back underground and heads to the lobby for Max and Mina to submit a mission report.

"Well Kitt, thanks for your help in the mission. We could have probably done it without your help, but if you weren't there to chase Eve then she would have gotten away and we would have never gotten the artifact."

"I am happy to have helped."

"It's almost twenty four hours already, I can send you home if you want so you can separate with Nova in peace."

"You can send me back right now?"

"What? Are you sure about this Mina? Using the teleporter to do something trivial like returning your brother home would be a waste! You can just send him on a plane back home! How far away does he live anyways?"

"Like on the other side of the world which is gonna take half a day to get to. I don't care if they cut my pay to one fourth at the end of the month. It's not like I'm bleeding money when I'm paid two hundred thousand dollars for doing a simple artifact retrieval mission. Do you know how much they paid me for hunting down Nova? They paid me half a million."

"I was just being careful you don't have to flex your salary on me."

"So Kitt, are you ready to go home?"

"Yes, I'm ready."

"Then wait on the portal for me and I'll send you home right away."

Before going home, Kitt says his goodbyes to the trio.

"Aww... I hope I can see you again some time! I know you really love my tails and if you come back I'll let you play with them as long as you want! As long as you let me play with you as long as I want hehe..."

"I don't ever want to see you or your face ever again."

"Me too master."

"So rude much?"

"Well I guess this is it Kitt, don't forget what I taught you! And maybe in the holidays we can visit you sometime."

"I'll be happy to see you again and don't worry! The swordsmanship skills you taught me are too cool to forget!"

The portal charges up with the previous yellow light, getting ready to transport Kitt back home.

"Looks like the portal is ready. Goodbye Max! Goodbye Mina! And good riddance Luna!"

"So rude!" The portal finishes charging and Kitt is transported back home near where they originally took the portal to go to the base.

"We're finally home, Nova, and it's very good to be back, but I do miss seeing Mina again. She only sent me some money on my birthday which I hated her for, but seeing that this is what she really does for a living, I can forgive her."

"What's wrong with receiving money as a gift master?"

"We haven't seen each other for almost a year so the very least she could do was come to me in person for my birthday, but again I now know that she has been upholding our family legacy in my place."

"Ah, I see. So shall we separate now master? Your body has settled enough for me to return you back to normal!"

"I'll miss using your powers and your body, but we have to separate before another two days pass and this becomes irreversible."

Kitt goes back home and into his bedroom where Nova melts their body back into slime and forms a cocoon to start the separation process.

"Don't worry master, I have a surprise for your new body, but it shouldn't change your appearance in any way."

"Hm? It better not!"

The separation process is complete and the cocoon condenses back into Nova while the beast inside is the restored Kitt.

"Ah! I'm finally normal again! Thank you Nova! So what did you change about me? I feel the same as I was before, even weaker now that I don't have your body."

"This is my new change!" Nova quickly kisses Kitt, feeding a bit of his slime to him.

"Mmm.. Ack! Nova! What was that for? I'm not even hungry! Huh? What's happening to my body?"

Nova made a change in Kitt's body that turns him into their combined form if he were to ingest his slime in any way, letting him have his previous physical characteristics like his six ears and two tails and being able to use all of Nova's powers like his energy armor and weapons for a short while.

"Ah! I thought we separated! Why do I look like our combined form again?"

"It's a special change I made for your body so if you ever need my powers then just have a bit of my slime and you will turn back to Nitt!"

"Nitt? Who's that?"

"It's a name I made up from our combined form from just putting our names together!"

"Oh! Okay, but can you turn me back now?"

"Don't worry master, you will turn back to normal right about... now!" And with Nova's perfect prediction, Kitt turns back to normal with gray fur, two ears, and one tail.

"Ah there we go! What can we do to pass the time?"

"We could watch some movies or I could help you play on the computer if you want!"

"Hmm... I know! Nova, can you please me in bed? But this time I want you to completely exhaust me with every trick you have. I want to see how long I can last when I eat your slime and transform into our combined form."

"So eager to test out your new body! Then I'll please you all night!"

And so, Nova pleases Kitt for the fourth time since they have first met, now able to last longer than before and until the sun had risen. The two clean up after and start another wonderful day of their life together as a powerful and loyal slime dragon with a lonely and kind cat as its master.
