Discovering his hooves [Commission]
Meeting mares for the first time can have some unexpected effects on a stallion's body...
Another centaur commission for zornklaue
This was a fun and relatively short write. Medieval fantasy setting is one of my favorites to write so naturally had a blast with that. You'll most likely see more of Fuchs in future stories as well ;)
Thanks for reading!
“Do you reckon it will be much farther from here? Those farmers we talked to said it should be only three day's walk from the valley to the village.”
“Do not tell me you’re already tired… And here I thought us knights were supposed to stay in shape.”
“Bah! Easy for you to say! I’m not the one who looks like a horse from the waist down and has four legs!”
“Hmph! I’m still carrying most of our equipment!”
“As you should! There’s not a knight alive who would carry all their gear themselves… I’d at least need a squire if not a mount of my own.”
“Then why didn’t you bring a horse?”
“Because I cannot know if the rest of your kind would be offended by me riding one. I mean I suppose they wouldn’t, but it would still feel a tad arrogant just strutting in there, completely unannounced, and trying to pass myself off as a centaur whilst being just a regular human and his horse.”
“Hmmm, manners do make the knight…”
The buoyant conversation between the two knights was accompanied by the steady thumping of metal boots against the slightly damp soil of the secluded forest path as well as the more muffled thuds of four hooves treading on the surrounding grass. A bluejay chirped in one of the nearby trees, its cheerful call being answered by a common blackbird a bit further away while the moderate saddlebags on top of the beautifully chestnut fur of Fuchs’ lower bag jingled faintly with their metallic contents. Thanks to his extra height, the centaur with short, copper hair had to duck his head every now and then in order to avoid the low-hanging branches of the surrounding willows that drooped over the narrow dirt path weaving in their midst.
“Son of a-” Bernard cursed, loudly slapping his own neck, ending the life of one of the about dozen mosquitoes swarming around the odd duo making their way through the surprisingly muggy woodland.
“Must be easy for you… Having a thick coat of fur and a nice, bushy tail to shoo these bloodsuckers away with.”
“Haha! You make me sound like more of a cow than a centaur!” Fuchs chuckled, accidentally catching a particularly elusive willow branch on his face due to losing focus for a second.
“Haha! That’s some bovine delicacy for you sir cow!” The short-haired brunette guffawed, quickly jumping to his left as his half-equine comrade attempted to bump him in the shoulder with his withers as a form of payback. The young human knight, however, possessed the sharp reflexes required to evade such an attempt at his balance.
“Oh shut up!” Fuchs groaned, swatting another branch away from his face with the back of his palm.
The strange set of knights was on a journey to find a remote centaur village. Contrary to the capturing of bandits and plain old monster hunting the pair of armored warriors were usually up to, this time their expedition didn’t have quite as noble of a purpose. No, this adventure of theirs had motivations more selfish than serving justice through the sword and steel and was in fact a rather peaceful task, more akin to a simple search mission than anything that would truly test the expertise of a knight. That wasn’t to say that both Fuchs and Bernard weren’t adequately geared to take on a group of highwaymen or a manticore or two if any of those foes happened to cross paths with them. It was essential for good knights to always be prepared, after all.
This more peaceful quest had actually been Fuchs’ idea. The young half-equine knight was actually a child born from the illicit love affair between a human noble and a wandering female centaur. To say that he was a rare existence in human society was an understatement, and as far as he himself knew, there had never been another documented case of human-on-centaur crossbreeding. This was most likely due to the fact that just plain centaurs were extremely uncommon to just pop up in areas inhabited by humans, as they were rather reclusive and rarely mingled with those outside of their own kin. Having grown up and lived all twenty-four years of his life in human society, Fuchs had never even once seen another centaur, which if anything was a testament to just how isolated the herds of half-horses lived from the rest of the world.
Despite being a half-breed and a bit of an oddity in the general sphere of what most humans usually encountered, Fuchs had lived a very happy life up until now and had only rarely encountered any kind of discrimination from the people he had encountered; most humans simply met him with general curiosity and admiration. In that regard, it had been fortunate of him to be born as a son of a noble, as mere peasants and those without a title could hardly afford to anger a direct descendant of the province’s Duke. Fuchs was actually the next one in line to inherit the Duchy, although the matter of succession was rather complicated, since the current Duke, Fuchs’ grandfather, wasn’t particularly keen on having a centaur on the seat of power. The other, bigger, issue was Fuchs’ decision to become a knight, which in his grandfather’s eyes was a step lower in the social hierarchy of the noble caste their family belonged to, and thus would make Fuchs unfit to inherit the Duchy, at least until he renounced his knighthood.
Fuchs personally didn’t care much either way, since he was enjoying his life as a knight to the fullest and didn’t have any greater interest in politics.
The fact that he was a noble also meant that Fuchs had a high affinity for magic, and possessed a magic pool much more vast than that of an average peasant. It was a gift that, much like his nobility, was at least a bit wasted on the red-haired stallion as Fuchs had never had the patience or true desire to learn the finest nuances of the arcane arts, and much rather focused on honing his body and skills with the sword. He did know quite a few spells and how to cast them, but they were all extremely modest displays of magic, ranging from a simple fire spell to light a campfire, to a couple of different utility spells, such as fatigue removal and healing, which admittedly were quite nifty for a knight to know.
The one notable tragedy in the young stallion’s life had been the loss of his mother, who had succumbed to pneumonia before Fuchs had turned three, and he only had a few memories of her. Ever since her passing Fuchs had been just a lone centaur in the world of humans; a man wearing the coat of a horse, only pretending to be a real centaur. He barely knew anything about the equine half of his inheritance: how centaurs behaved in their herd, what were the societal norms in the centaur community, what professions did the centaurs usually practice, and what weapons would centaurs wield in battle? All of it was a complete mystery for Fuchs, and his ignorance had been gnawing at him ever since his teens. That gnawing feeling of ignorance had eventually transformed into a sensation of yearning, and at the age of twenty-four, Fuchs had decided he would venture out into the world and find the answers for himself by visiting an actual village of centaurs.
And that was what he had done. Although isolated, centaurs didn’t live that far away from the human settlements, and Fuchs knew through rumors and general inn-chatter that there supposedly was a small village of half-equines living somewhere in the valley of Greenglow although no one seemed to know the exact location of the habitation.
The man assisting Fuchs on his journey to finding his equine roots was Bernard, a young knight in the service of one of the Barons who were under the rule of Fuchs’ grandfather. He was just short of six feet tall, had short raven hair, and possessed all the well-known virtues of an honorable knight, being honest, compassionate, and loyal almost to a fault. And on top of all of that, he was also one hell of a swordsman.
The two had originally gotten acquainted at a sword-fighting tournament some three years back, where they had been matched against one another in the finals. And although Fuchs, being a centaur and all, had had the physical advantage in the fight, he had been the one who was eventually forced to yield in the fierce bout of sweat and steel. Having recognized each others’ skills with the blade, it had been easy for the two young men to become friends despite coming from two different castes of society; Bernard being of common birth opposed to Fuchs. In the post-tournament celebrations, the two had bonded more and more, and a few months later were on good enough terms to regularly go on missions together. Now, after years of enjoying each other's company, the two were pretty much best friends.
Initially, Fuchs had intended to make his journey to the centaur village alone, but Bernard had almost insisted on joining his friend on this brief detour of their knightly duties and the chestnut stallion had decided not to argue with him. And to be completely honest, having a friend along had made the lengthy trip much more enjoyable.
So far the pair of best friends had been traveling for just short of two weeks, having reached the lush meadows of Greenglow Valley after about a week and now having spent their past four days zig-zagging around the vast plateau of forests and fields in search of their destination. The local population of mostly farmers had been very helpful towards the two knights, be it in giving directions to the supposed location of the centaurian settlement, or letting Fuchs and Bernard sleep in their barns in the absence of better accommodation. The advice they had heard most from the local humans had been to ‘go west’ and the further towards the west they went, the more pinpointed the advice had eventually become. The elderly couple on the last farm they visited had known not only detailed instructions on how to get to the village but also how long it would approximately take to get there on foot. ‘Three days’, had been what they told Fuchs, and that had been a good two days ago already.
They must have been getting close. Fuchs could feel it in his guts. It was a strange mixture of thrill and anxiety; a sensation similar to what the stallion usually experienced before a fight. It was something he thought he was already used to, and yet he couldn’t help himself from feeling at least a little nervous.
“Aahhh! My boots are killing me!” Bernard complained, most likely just wanting to reignite the conversation as he usually wasn’t one to complain about anything.
“Did you have to wear your armor on our way there? That might be why you’re tired.”
“I have to represent my Baron!” Bernard replied, proudly patting the red and white coat of arms decorating the pauldron on his left shoulder. “Figures a knight coming from a noble background with no actual master wouldn’t get it.”
“You could have at least allowed me to sponsor you those new, enchanted boots you were eyeing to make this trip easier.”
“I appreciate the thought, but a proud knight has to make do with what he’s got.”
“Still too proud for my money I see…?”
The two friends shared a small chuckle as the path beneath their feet and hooves started taking on a bit of an angle and climbing a gentle slope up from the swampy bottom of the damp grove it had snaked through for the last mile or so. The pieces of armor stashed away in Fuchs’ saddlebags started making a bit more noise as the brothers-in-arms began ascending the grassy hillside where the trees slowly transformed from willows into birches and oaks. Halfway up the slope, Fuchs observed Bernard – who was in his full armor aside from the helmet – wiping his forehead with his palm as the ascent naturally took a toll on his physique.
“That’s what you get from your pride…” Fuchs thought to himself, only donning a simple chainmail on his upper body whilst his equine half was draped in the same protective material. All of his plate armor was packed in the pair of saddlebags gently rattling on both sides of his haunches.
The hill proved itself to be quite high and the combined six feet of the two friends got to tread the gentle slope for close to three minutes before they were finally able to crest the hilltop and catch their breaths. Although, catching their breath was nothing neither of them got up to, as once they conquered the arduous ascent, they were both able to lay their eyes upon a very picturesque view of a modest village opening up before them.
There were about thirty tents from what Fuchs was able to count, all surprisingly large in comparison with the simple abodes of most peasants where the two knights came from. A remarkably wide dirt road extended throughout the entire settlement like a big tree, its robust branches reaching every tent in the impressive area that the village covered. Small field plots dotted the surrounding dale, extending long into the horizon, almost beyond what either Fuchs or Bernard could even see, the absolute sea of crops waving gently in the late afternoon breeze that swept across the valley. There even appeared to be a narrow river flowing a bit further away from most of the tents, a clear stream of fresh mountain water descending down from the distant mountainside in a long, glimmering snake, which weaved its way past the village on the left fringe of the valley.
The sun, which was well on its way down from the top of the firmament, cast a cozy, warm filter over the entire settlement with its rays, making the view of the village appear close to twice as cozy as it would have already looked without it.
“Well, looks like we found it!” Bernard rejoiced, slapping his palm onto the equine part of Fuchs’ back, drawing a triumphant smile onto his face. “I can definitely see why they chose this part of the valley to settle in…”
The red-haired centaur didn’t react to the words of his friend and simply gazed at the peaceful valley view in silence as the sensation of unease from before returned to tickle his flanks. This was really it. He was about to meet other centaurs for the first time. Fuchs began to restlessly shuffle his hooves on the grass as he wasn’t quite able to shake off the feeling of anxiety he felt in his heart.
A warm breeze swept across the hilltop, carrying with it a scent of flowers, grass, and smoke, the latter of which was steadily billowing out of one or two tents of the centaur settlement. Fuchs, however, was able to smell something more amidst the three, more dominant fragrances. He had a surprisingly hard time pinpointing what it exactly was, but he was still certain it was there and that it was quite pleasant of an aroma.
“Are you coming?”
Fuchs flinched and shook his head, meeting the gaze of his human friend who had already started to descend the hillside.
“...Yeah! It was just so beautiful I thought I’d soak in the sight a bit more.” He eventually replied with a faint smile before trotting after Bernard.
“Are you excited? Nervous?” Bernard asked as the pair descended the slope.
“...A little bit, yes…”
“Bah! You’ve got nothing to worry about! I mean obviously not with a smooth wingman like me, but you still have plenty of good qualities of your own to win them over. You’re tall, charming, and have a new, shiny armor on your shoulders on top of being a knight; probably the first centaur knight ever. You’ve made plenty of farmgirls swoon for less.”
Fuchs chuckled and did feel somewhat more at ease after the praise from his friend.
“Speaking of… Think you’ll find yourself a nice mare while we’re here?” Bernard smirked and raised an eyebrow at Fuchs.
After being decently flustered for a couple of heartbeats, Fuchs scoffed at the remark, waving his right arm dismissively. “That’s not exactly why I’m here… And it would hardly be noble of a knight like me to just gallop into a village I’ve never been to before and seduce myself a lady.”
“Haha! I guess not… But I’m sure a stallion like you would have plenty of takers. Women love exotic men, at least human women do.”
“...Well…” Fuchs cleared his throat. “In the case that it is not inappropriate for me to do so, I wouldn’t refuse a chance to court one of their mares.”
The two men exchanged smirks and Bernard gently punched Fuchs in his withers as they reached the bottom of the hill and were back to walking on even ground.
“Oh! You might want to tuck that in before we reach the village. That is… If you can.” Bernard snickered.
At first, Fuchs was confused about what his friend was talking about, realizing only a few seconds later that a good half of his formidable stallion shaft was hanging outside of his sheath. Being a centaur, Fuchs had more than gotten used to his junk sometimes having a life of its own and abruptly dropping out from its snug leather pocket between his hind legs. Such an event usually occurred whenever the male centaur was feeling particularly hot from training and the animal half of his physique was doing its best to cool off. At first, it had been kind of awkward, and Fuchs had had to endure relentless jokes from Bernarn whenever it happened, but with time, he had grown to accept it as a part of his unique anatomy.
This time, however, Fuchs was not nearly as sweaty and exhausted as he usually was whenever his dong decided to come out to play, which left the young stallion fairly puzzled as to what might have caused him to subconsciously drop his malehood all of a sudden. And it was not only that his cock had emerged from the folds of its home cave, but it was also uncharacteristically… enthusiastic about being out. Most of the time Fuchs’ equine endowment would be completely limp and just hang about lazily between his haunches until it decided to retract back into its burrow. Now, there was definitely some stiffness present in the imposing profile of his bi-colored horsecock, which faded from black to pink from the hilt up.
“Ahh~ Give me a minute!” Fuchs groaned with frustration as he gazed down between his legs and whilst Bernard tried holding back his laughter.
“Are you sure you’re not thinking about mares?”
After the incident of the accidentally dropped horsecock had been dealt with, the two armored men continued their steady walk toward the village, before long reaching the vast fields of wheat which surrounded the modest centaur community. The path beneath the two knight’s feet quickly widened into a proper dirt road, snugly nestled between two plots of fertile cropland, at places almost getting swallowed up by the lush greenery squeezing it from both sides. A modest orchestra of grasshoppers hiding amongst the crops serenaded the two travelers as they walked along the final stretch of their two-week expedition.
The man and centaur had barely walked the road for two hundred feet before they could already see a tall, four-legged character standing in the sea of slowly ripening wheat, observing the two visitors from afar, while they gradually made their way closer.
She was a mare. Her hair was blonde and tied into a ponytail, descending straight and luxurious along her spine, easily reaching the equine half of her body with how long the flaxen threads were. She was wearing a simple, short-sleeved blouse on her upper body and didn't have any jewelry on her as far as the two knights could see. From the waist down her fur coat was dominantly white, with about a dozen palm-sized gray spots giving her pale flanks some character whilst the tail descending down from her equine rump shared the color of gold with her hair. Overall, she was quite delicately built and definitely stood out as a mare in comparison to Fuchs, who – as a stallion – was considerably more robust in physique.
The unknown mare didn’t make any effort to approach the human-centaur duo and simply observed them from behind a safe distance, even backing off slightly as they got closer to her. Bernard didn’t hesitate to wave his arm at her, attempting to make his greeting appear even more innocent by smiling broadly toward the visibly apprehensive female centaur.
Instead of responding to the young human’s greeting, the mare chose to turn around on her hooves and quickly cantered away from the two, heading towards the village, in what the two knights could only assume was to warn the other residents of their arrival.
“You don’t suppose centaurs have a different kind of greeting, do you?” Bernard asked, lowering his arm, watching the flaxen ponytail of the mare fluttering in the breeze as she receded from his view. Fuchs, whose heart was suddenly beating twice as fast, didn’t react to the words of his fellow knight, feeling both great elation and moderate confusion from seeing another centaur for the first time. The two walked the rest of the way to the village in heavy silence, full of palpable tension.
Upon their arrival at the actual settlement itself, Fuchs and Bernard were greeted by an atmosphere of suspense that was blatantly present on the faces of the village’s half-equine residents, most of whom were standing outside of their tents aside from a group of about eight mares and stallions who stood to block the two traveler’s path in the very middle of the main road. The mixed group of centaurs was armed with pitchforks, shovels, and hoes, and Fuchs was quite sure he even saw a spear or two wielded by the members of the modest welcoming committee who were facing the knights. Yet, there was no direct hostility in the air, and it appeared that despite their numbers, the inhabitants of the small community of cultivating half-horses were more afraid of the two foreigners than the pair was of them.
Fuchs scanned all of the grim, doubtful faces staring at him and his friend, simultaneously taking a good, full-body look at every centaur he could see to satisfy his built-up curiosity for his own kin. And there was quite a lot for him to look at since the villagers appeared to be quite the diverse bunch when it came to their equine inheritance, and Fuchs could immediately recognize the familiar colors and patterns of more well-known breeds. He saw the speckled, white flanks of an Appaloosa, the majestic, onyx curls of a Friesian’s tail, the creamy shade of a Palomino’s coat, and the blonde hair complementing it. The dark legs of a Lusitano, the robust withers of a Shire, they were all there; of course, attached to somewhat matching human torsos.
Being so caught up in admiring the ample assortment of both mares and stallions present, Fuchs nearly forgot that they were being stared down, particularly by the group of eight standing mere twenty feet in front of him and Bernard. Lucky for Fuchs, his trusted human companion was socially sharp just as usual, and was already attempting to de-escalate the situation.
Bernard raised his palms in front of his shoulders, making sure that all centaurs present – namely the intimidating eight – could see them. Next, he slowly lowered his right hand and just as slowly wrapped his fingers around the hilt of the sword he was carrying on his hip, carefully retracting the bladed weapon from its scabbard for all to see. Maintaining the lethargic tempo of a meditating monk, he turned the tip of his weapon toward the ground, before displaying a short burst of speed as he stuck the sword into the dirt to some mixed reactions from the surrounding crowd. He then slowly took his hand off the hilt and left the sword standing on its own, even going as far as to take a step back to show he had no ill intent.
Fuchs was quick to do the same, unsheathing his trusted steel longsword from the decorated, red-leather scabbard he carried on his back and striking the shiny metal weapon blade-first into the ground, leaving it there as he too backed off a step. Although there was no visible reaction from any of the villagers, Fuch could sense a wave of alleviation cleansing the aura of doubt and suspense amongst the villagers.
After some hushed whispers and quiet mutters had made their way through the four-hooved natives of the area, one of the eight centaurs standing before Fuchs and Bernard stepped up, shrinking the distance between herself and the two visitors to only seven feet or so. She was also a mare, an Ardennes as one could easily see by her robust lower half and the abundant feathering present on her hooves. From the waist up, she looked just like a regular woman; not particularly wide-shouldered or muscular, although Fuchs immediately took note of her having a strong set of arms, which were displayed quite generously by the mare’s choice of clothing.
A tall, tan apron of sorts hung down from her neck, draping down over her ample, feminine chest and reaching down almost below her knees, having multiple pockets along its entire length with plenty of small burn marks decorating it all. She must have been a blacksmith.
The mare, whose braided hair had already turned silver with age, but who still managed to look relatively youthful, defiantly crossed her arms above her chest and took a wide stance with her forehooves as she stared inquisitively at the two arrivals.
“Who are you? Where do you come from? What business are you on?” She asked in a very authoritative, scolding tone, which managed to catch both of the younger men slightly off-guard.
Fuchs and Bernard shared a look amongst each other until the brunette man eventually cleared his throat.
“...Please pardon our unannounced arrival into your fair and peaceful community… My associate and I were just…”
“Bah! Quit talking fancy, boy and just tell me who you are and what you’re doing here!” The silver-haired mare stomped the ground with one of her hooves and furrowed her brows even more than they were already furrowed.
“...Right!” Bernard was quick and gracious in his defeat.
“Our names are Fuchs and Bernard. We are both knights of the Ganrun province, under the authority of Duke Goronvil. I can assure you we mean no harm and are visiting you with peaceful intentions.” Fuchs explained.
The mature mare undulated her eyebrows but still appeared to be somewhat skeptical of the pair.
“...It has been quite a while since we have gotten any visitors… Especially human ones… Not to even mention a stallion traveling with a human.” The mare muttered, inspecting both young men from head to toe with her sharp, violet eyes. “Well then… You said you were here on peaceful intentions…? What might those intentions be?” She continued, leaning her aproned torso towards Bernard as if she was interrogating him.
“Me? Oh, no!” Bernard chuckled. “I’m just here for leisure! The one who really wanted to meet you is my friend here.”
Everyone’s attention subsequently shifted toward the red-haired stallion. And even though as a knight, Fuchs had gotten used to being in front of a crowd from time to time, having the attention of so many centaurs simultaneously focused on him made the usually confident stallion shuffle his hooves a little bit before he began talking.
“Well… You see…”
…
Fuchs told the villagers the story of his unconventional origins, how he had been the result of an interracial relationship and been born into human nobility despite having the body of a centaur, how he had been brought up in human society after his mother had passed away and how he eventually found his way into practicing the sword and eventually to knighthood. He told them how he had met and become friends with Bernard and the many adventures they had had together ever since. But most importantly, Fuchs shared his desire for wanting to reconnect with the centaurian-side of his inheritance and learn more about what it actually meant to be a centaur and how to act like one, since all of what he knew, he had learned for himself, growing up as a centaur amongst humans.
The villagers had diligently listened to what Fuchs had to say, after which they welcomed him and Bernard with open arms. Everyone was willing to show sympathy for the chestnut stallion, who received lots and lots of kind words, firm handshakes, and warm greetings from the village’s inhabitants who quickly gathered around their two guests, inspecting both the man and the stallion with burning curiosity.
Most of the villagers had never seen an armored centaur before and were almost endlessly interested in the protective gear worn and carried by Fuchs, especially the silver-haired blacksmith mare, who introduced herself as Sana. She made at least three laps around Fuchs as she carefully inspected every part of the centaur-fitted chainmail, even digging through the hefty saddlebags to get a good look at the more robust plated armor Fuchs was hiding. Both his sword and his armor garnered him a lot of admiration from mares and stallions alike, and Fuchs definitely enjoyed the positive attention he was getting, being more than happy to interact with everyone who came up to greet him.
Before long, Bernard managed to convince Fuchs to put on his entire battle attire and even helped the star stallion put it on as equipping plated armor was at the very least an extremely slow task to be executed by oneself. Fuchs received even more admiration and gasps as he put on his helmet, cuirass, pauldrons, and custom-made centaur tassets, all of which were adorned with decorative patterns like the armor of most wealthy knights.
From there, it was only a matter of time before Fuchs ended up clashing blades with Bernard in a mock swordfight, which the villagers had almost demanded to see once the talkative human knight had brought up the idea with the very purpose of spawning those demands. Fuchs guessed his friend wanted him to show off at least a little bit, and perhaps Bernard wanted to engage in some grandstanding himself too. The villagers had cleared the road for the two friends to battle and had subsequently been given a riveting performance by Fuchs and Bernard, who eventually ended their fight in a gracious draw. And by then, the sun had already begun to set.
A muffled growl from Bernard’s empty stomach had then alerted the villagers to the famishment of their visitors who had a good half a day’s worth of traveling weighing in their hooves and feet. From almost completely out of nowhere, had the local stallions and mares began setting up a feast, emerging from some of the bigger tents near the road with four – by human measurements – absolutely gargantuan long tables, which had been set down into a large rectangle in the middle of the village. Fuchs had barely gotten out of his armor with the assistance of Bernard before the locals were already carrying baskets of freshly baked bread to the tables along with large jugs of beer and wine, roasted boar, salted river fish, and some early summer potatoes farmed right outside the village.
Whenever the sun finally fully dipped behind the horizon, the feast was already in full swing, with Fuchs and Bernard being offered every local delicacy imaginable, having their crude tankards constantly filled by their merry hosts. The night was still bright and the air refreshingly cool, and everyone present enjoyed themselves to the fullest.
As the night had progressed Fuchs had made some observations of his fellow half-horses, most of which were purely superficial. From what he had seen, most of the stallions in the village didn’t wear any clothes and had gone about their day completely topless; something that would at least have been an eyebrow-raising detail from where he came from, especially if one was of noble inheritance. Mares, on the other hand, wore all sorts of clothing and Fuchs had seen almost everything from dresses to aprons and crop tops to simple wrappings of cloth some mares used to cover their chest, and not much more. They too appeared to prefer dressing on the lighter side, which definitely left a lot of their feminine beauty out for Fuchs – and any stallion for that matter – to admire.
Barely anyone bothered covering the equine half of their anatomy, although some, more refined dressed did seem to sometimes drape over the mares’ lower backs. Such dresses made Fuchs feel somewhat more at ease, since from his perspective, coming from a much more prudish human background, almost all of the women present were naked from the waist down. And of course, the honorable knight did his best not to look, but still found his curious stallion gaze following a comely mare’s rump for an extended period of time every now and then. But to his fortune or misfortune, most of the mares had been quite diligent about keeping their tails down so he hadn't really seen anything he, nor the mares should be ashamed of.
…
“...So your mother… What did she look like? Do you remember anything about her?” Derrin, an older stallion with a mighty, dark beard inquired from Fuchs, pouring the slightly intoxicated knight’s tankard full of beer once more. The copper-haired stallion listened to the gentle, upbeat tunes played by a mare flutist standing in the middle of the four tables before responding.
“...She was blonde… And had chestnut fur similar to mine… I remember her being quite petite… My father could comfortably reach her head if they both stood on the same level. From what he told me, she came from the north and was a songstress… She used to sing me lullabies when I was young, but I never understood the words.”
“Did she have any markings? Scars, brandings, tattoos?” Sana butted in, leaning over towards Fuchs from his left, lowering her torso enough for the young stallion to see well down the mature mare’s ample cleavage.
“...Umm…Y-yes!” Fuchs said, shaking his head to take his eyes off the female Ardennes’ breasts. “Yes, she did have a tattoo. On her neck.” He nodded his head, running his palm down the side of his neck.
“What did it look like?” The silvery mare pressed Fuchs, who hastily drew a symmetrical, jagged pattern on the table with his left hand.
“Ah! She was indeed from the north! Probably from one of the Faxågull clans.” Derrin nodded his head. “Their mares are said to be excellent singers… She must have walked a long, long way to get this down into the south to have met your old man.”
“You know if I recall, Erynvil might actually have a book about the northern centaur herds. Didn’t her father buy it from a wandering merchant whenever she was just a filly?” Sana leaned against Fuchs, speaking to Derrin over the younger stallion’s shoulder.
“You’re right… I reckon she does. We’ll go and find it first thing in the morning. For now, we drink!” The bald stallion laughed boisterously, emptying his mug in one fell swig.
“We drink!” Sana rejoiced, ushering Fuchs to also pick up his tankard whilst she did the same, and the two emptied their tankards together.
“Atta boy! You’re drinkin’ *hic* like a real ssshtallion already!” Sana rejoiced. “You *hic* you should swing by my forge tomorrow! I want to take another look at that… That armor of yours! Rarely have I come across such fine craftsmanship… Did- Did humans really make that for you?”
Fuchs nodded his head whilst simultaneously perking up his ears to Bernard raising his voice at the other end of the table. He didn’t as much as need to glance in the brunette man’s direction to know he was already drunk.
“...And so anyway, ponyboy over there-” Bernard boisterously explained to the two mares diligently listening to him, pointing at Fuchs whilst spilling generous amounts of beer from his mug. “Thisss… This colt! Picks up the dislodged inn door like it is a damn bulwark shield and ploughs right into the gang of bandits! Just like that! And there I am just standing still, watching how he knocks out almost five men with a door! A door! Anyways I go in and help him of course, and the bastard kicks one of the ruffians in the chest, sending him flying like… Ten feet backwards! Never thought I’d have to block a flying bandit with my shield but…”
The mares giggled as Bernard poured the rest of his drink into where it was supposed to go, leaning backwards a dangerous amount considering he was sitting on a barrel. For a brief while Fuchs was certain the wooden container would tip and his friend would fall over, but miraculously, such an amusing event didn’t occur.
Fuchs was distracted from watching his human friend as he was suddenly approached by a beautiful mare who came over to freshen his drink. She had gorgeous, obsidian hair which appeared even darker in the early hours of the night as it descended over her shoulders in luscious curls of onyx. Her eyes, which briefly met with Fuchs’, were green, like a pair of smoky emeralds twinkling in the twilight. But what perhaps caught the noble stallion’s attention the most was her chest.
Already well on his way into inebriation, Fuchs couldn’t stop his eyes from tracing along the full shape of her feminine bosom, the two ample breasts almost spilling out of her frilly crop top as she leaned over to pour him a drink. And even though Fuchs had seen his fair share of busty barmaids in the dozens of inns he had visited, there was still something in the raven-haired mare which made him unable to take his eyes off her. At least her breasts, that was.
Fuchs watched the mare erecting her torso back into its natural position and her shapely breasts settling down more comfortably inside the white fabric of her top, still leaving plenty of female centaur cleavage visible for the stallion knight to enjoy. It took him a whole five seconds to eventually raised his gaze and catch the pair of green mare eyes staring at him. Blush began creeping up his cheeks as he realized he had gotten caught, and didn’t know whether he should first thank her for the drink, or apologize for looking at her with lascivious eyes.
But before Fuchs was able to get any words out of her mouth, the beautiful mare giggled brightly. She swept the onyx locks on the left side of her head behind her ear and offered the half-drunk stallion a flirtatious smile before slowly turning away from him. Once again, Fuchs couldn’t stop his eyes from getting attached to the gently dancing dark-chocolate rump of the attractive female as she clearly didn’t mind him looking at her. Running his gaze along her curvy equine profile, Fuchs eventually found himself staring into the mare’s eyes again, as she appeared to have closely observed the stallion’s observation of her.
Their eyes met. She gave him a wink.
As if somehow knowing what was implied, Fuchs immediately dropped his line of sight back down onto her rump, making it just in time to catch her deftly tossing her dark tail to the side and giving him another, different kind of wink.
It was only visible for a brief moment before the mare moved her tail back to where it normally resided, but he was sure he saw it. His first glimpse of a female centaur’s marehood. Had his emotions not been dampened by the effects of alcohol, Fuchs would have reared from sheer surprise.
The brunette mare offered Fuchs another, more playful smile before she trotted away from him, going over to serve the other tables. Fuchs followed her with his gaze until he felt a familiar sensation between his hind legs.
His cock was out. And not just a quarter, a third, or even a half. It was fully dropped. And this time, the mischievous extension of equine anatomy made it abundantly clear it wouldn’t even try to remain flaccid. It was going fully erect.
“Oh! Uh! Umm… D-do you spend the entire year in this valley?” Fuchs, who was rapidly descending into panic, asked Derrin in an attempt to distract himself and the others from his expeditiously hardening horse penis.
“No…!” Derrin replied, stuffing nearly half of a boar thigh into his mouth. “...We migrate here in the spring, then spend the summer here farming crops and gathering supplies.” He explained after swallowing the ridiculous piece of meat he had bit off. “When winter comes, we migrate back into the south. Usually, we spend our winters by the sea, mostly fishing and hunting…”
Tried as he might, Fuchs was not fully able to focus on the other stallion’s words as he was now rock-hard, probably the hardest his stallionhood had ever been. And to make things even worse, the swollen cylinder of stallion sex had begun to throb, and was not at all subtle about it either. Fuchs was almost afraid it would soon jump up and slap his belly, giving out his aroused state, no matter how mind-blowingly pleasurable it would have felt if his cock had decided to do so.
“...Speaking of which. You are welcome to stay with us as long as you want. And so is your friend.” Derrin chuckled, slapping Fuchs on the shoulder which prompted a hefty bead of pre to ooze out from the blunt tip of the younger male’s equine lance. The sensation of it made Fuchs shudder and his cock throb even harder.
“T-thank you! I-I appreciate i-it!” Fuchs forced a smile onto his lips. “U-umm, w-would you excuse me I need to go… Need to go…” He muttered, starting to slowly back away from the table.
“Don’t mention it! I should go and take a piss myself pretty soon! Enough beer will do that for you!” The older stallion chuckled, downing another mug of said liquid. “But you go ahead! We’ll keep your mug full until you get back!”
Fuchs carefully backed out of the immediate presence of his half-equine hosts, trying to draw as little attention to himself as possible when he eventually turned around and started cantering towards the treeline a couple hundred feet away from the tents. He, however, didn’t make it even halfway to his secluded destination before he had to slow down into a gentle trot, as any movement faster than that made his sensitive member wobble in a way that quickly became way too stimulating for him.
Just what on earth was wrong with him? Never in the twenty-four years, he had galloped the green pastures of the world had he been so incredibly aroused, so much so that feeling a passing breeze on the throbbing surface of his junk nearly made him lose it. And all it had taken was the mere sight of a mare cunt that had made him feel like this. All hot, restless, and confused.
Fuchs had never had any particular issues with his libido before and he considered himself as having less lust in his loins than your average human, who, from what he had experienced, were not from the most abstinent end of intelligent creatures. Naturally, there had been times when he had found himself longing for the gentle touch of a maiden more than an honorable knight should and he had grown accustomed to relieving himself on occasions, whenever he couldn’t retract his stallionhood back into its sheath with sheer willpower alone. He had even had the pleasure of having his desires tended to by the capable hands of some of the more adventurous human women he’d come across in his travels, but he had always abstained from actually going all the way with them, out of fear of potentially harming them in the act as… Well… He was a lot bigger than a normal human man, in more ways than one.
But this time, it was completely different. It wasn’t just a persistent erection that was out looking for something lewd, it was an entire surge of nothing but pure lust, sweeping through his whole body with each beat of his heart, throbbing in his equine testes, flaring at the very tip of his cock. All of a sudden Fuchs was experiencing dire symptoms of an urge he never even knew existed, and they were rapidly driving him and his equine loins mad.
Fuchs was already out of breath as he finally reached the dark shade of the tall oaks surrounding the wheat fields. His balls felt like they had gained an extra pound of weight during his short trot from the feast to the treeline and their incessant throbbing, along with the generous length of horsecock, was getting close to unbearable at that point.
“Just what in the world is happening to me…?” The stallion muttered out loud, walking past one of the tree trunks rising up before him to form the great wooden wall of the untamed forest. Fighting off both his inebriation and absolutely raging arousal at the same time, the young knight failed to notice one particularly long and mischievous blade of wild grass dangling in the breeze just on the level of his stallion sex.
The delicate touch of common flora was like a dagger being stabbed into the very heart of Fuchs’ libido, and the simple sensation of a lone blade of grass dragging along the side of his harder-than-steel equine breeding pole set him off in a split second.
The twilight treeline echoed with an uneven moan of surprise and satisfaction as Fuchs reflexively reared on his hooves, unleashing a majestic torrent of centaur cum from the blunt tip of his flared stallionhood. The thick ropes of equine ejaculate shooting out from the yawning entrance to his urethra competed with each other on who would get launched out first, and which one would reach the furthest on the grassy forest floor in a messy spectacle of stallion virility that could have put a fountain to shame. Fuchs had never experienced an orgasm like it.
The demihuman knight was still squirting ejaculate out of his flare like a broken faucet when he was eventually able to re-earth his front hooves, having to take support from a nearby tree with how fiercely the sensation of pleasure assaulted his body. He could feel his swollen centaur colt churns contracting with each throb of his turgid mare stuffer as they pumped out an unholy amount of centaur seed in a relatively short period of time, although the orgasm itself lasted for what felt like at least twenty seconds. It felt so sinfully divine to cum so hard and so much, even if the eruptive bodily function had been prompted by an innocent blade of grass.
The orgasm was so powerful it left the physically strong stallion weak in the legs, and Fuchs had to search for his balance on the forest floor a few seconds after he was done blasting his colts all over the place. The strong sensation of dizziness and feebleness he experienced was however followed by a pleasantly mellow sensation of post-orgasmic euphoria, which soothed both Fuchs’ rattled mind and body in the aftermath of the intense ejaculatory reaction.
“...What in the name of Caravis was that…” The spent stallion muttered to himself, trying to get his breath to settle as he leaned against the tree with his right arm. As much as he was confused about spontaneously spilling what almost felt like a whole bucketful of his liquid stallion passion, he couldn’t deny just how good it had felt, letting his equine member flare to its fullest and spew out enough seed to knock up at least a couple of mares.
Dropping his gaze onto the thick, gooey output of his meaty colt cannon, Fuchs was immediately taken aback by just how much cum was now glistening on the blades of grass before him. He could have sworn it was at least three times more than what he was usually able to squeeze out of his nuts whenever he masturbated. It was almost as if his body had suddenly decided to up its sperm production for some unknown reason.
“...I should get back…” Fuchs eventually muttered, pushing the questions he had about the increased activity of his testes to the back of his mind.
But the red-haired stallion wasn’t able to as much as lift one of his hooves off the ground to leave before he encountered a problem. A long, hard, and throbbing one.
He was still hard.
“Seriously…?” Fuchs muttered twisting his torso and raising one of his hind hooves to get a look at the battle-ready stallion lance twitching beneath his equine abdomen. “You’re not satisfied even with all that?” He chuckled by himself, glancing at the dozens of long streaks of stallion seed on the surrounding vegetation.
Starting to quickly feel a little lewd – still rocking a full-sized equine erection after all – Fuchs carefully slapped the impressive length of his stallionhood against the fur of his abdomen, promptly shivering from how good it felt to have his cock stimulated. He was still super sensitive, perhaps even more so than before. Performing another playful belly slap with his sex, Fuchs let out a hoarse moan as the chestnut hairs of his coat pleasantly prickled on the surface of his equine hardon, forcing his breeding baton into full flare. This time, the stimulation was enough to make the esteemed knight dance on his hooves just a little bit.
He was getting excited.
Leaning his left arm against the elderly tree trunk yet again, Fuchs raised his member into the brown pelage of his belly, this time lingering in the soft caress of his own fur for a bit longer. Holding his breath, the randy stallion started gently rocking his equine hips back and forth, rubbing his length against the soft sensation of his own coat in a heated act of equine self-pleasure. His meat was still so sensitive from its previous ejaculate ejection that Fuchs could almost feel each of the individual hairs of his chestnut coat raking along the throbbing surface of his centaur shaft, all hundreds if not thousands of them sending small shocks of pleasure down into his sheath, enticing the rest of his body to join in. It felt absolutely amazing.
It took Fuchs almost no time at all to go from a few, moderately innocent belly slaps into full-on bucking of his horse hips as he was soon thrusting his throbbing cylinder of stallion sex with absolutely no restraint against his own body, masturbating like a true stallion. Each jab of his powerful equine haunches rewarded him with an electrifying sensation of pleasure that coursed through his sex whenever he flared his cock, and which the young knight fervently devoured with all of his four-hooved being whilst leaking copious amounts of equine pre-ejaculate. And all the while his cock demanded more, growing more and more addicted to the sensual stimulation with each passing second.
Before he knew it, Fuchs was already jerking off to the full capacity of his half-equine body. He was by no means a stranger to equine masturbation, but never before had he been quite this thrilled to engage in it, savoring every thrust, every slap, and every rub between his abdomen and his cock to the maximum.
As the pleasure throbbing within his genitals kept on intensifying, Fuchs’ lust-clouded mind began to gallop, quickly taking his thoughts onto the multiple attractive mares he had met during his short time with the centaur herd. He thought about the beautiful mare who had flashed him her cunt, and the other beautiful centaur women who had caught his eye during the festivities. Their slender waists, eye-catching busts, and curvy equine behinds. All of it filled Fuchs’ head in an instant, aggravating the feeling of satisfaction the restless stallion derived from rubbing his flare against his belly. Even Sana’s full cleavage flashed in his mind as he pleasured himself to the raunchy fantasies of mares whom he had only just met.
Dear god, did he want to mount one.
Ignoring the warning signs of an impending orgasm from his sheath and testes, Fuchs kept humping his length against himself as he closed his eyes and allowed his imagination to take the helm. He imagined a mare with beautiful, long hair the shade of mahogany, her equine lower half donning the same color. Her ample bosom was spilling over to the sides of her slender torso as she stood still in front of him, her back slightly arched, her full rump stuck out for mounting. Deriving inspiration from the stallion’s memories, the imaginary mare then tossed her tail to the side with a seductive smile, and the look she had in her eyes would have made any stallion mount her within a heartbeat. And so did Fuchs in his mind.
And the very second he fantasized about his cock sinking into the moist, fleshy caress of his fantasy mare’s cunt, Fuchs came. And just like before, he came hard.
The fantasizing stallion squeezed his right hand into a fist so fiercely that his knuckles turned white as he expelled another small flood of thick centaur sperm from the flared tip of his stallionhood, a wavering moan escaping his mouth as the violent eruption of ejaculate happened. The tumescent tower of horse meat jumped around like it was attempting to wrench itself free of Fuchs’ sheath, spewing fat ropes of liquid colts all over the forest floor like there was no tomorrow. The not-so-noble knight was utterly flabbergasted his balls had so much seed to give, even though his first climax had already been so voluminous in its output.
Fuchs was forced to take a wider stance on both his front and rear hooves as the mere support from the tree trunk he was leaning against wasn’t enough to maintain his balance in the throes of the debilitating sensation of pleasure coursing through his body. He shivered from his head to his hooves as the tingly waves of sexual satisfaction rippled through his body one by one whilst his centaur gonads grew considerably lighter just in the span of a few seconds. Fuchs relished every second of his balls being drained of their potent stallion essence, almost growing dizzy towards the end with how utterly his senses were being dominated by sheer euphoria.
And then, it was all suddenly over.
The potent stream of centaur cum gradually subdued, leaving behind it a wistful throbbing in Fuchs’ leathery scrotum, as well as the same, warm feeling of contentment that the stallion had experienced after his first orgasm. As he subsequently inhaled his lungs full of the brisk forest air, Fuchs could feel the tension slowly starting to leave his swollen member, which began getting sucked back into the out-fo-breath male centaur’s gently pulsating sheath, shrinking steadily as the half-equine knight’s wild heartbeat progressively slowed down. The air of rut which had previously enveloped the four-hooved half-breed, was slowly fading from around him, allowing the cool night breeze to clear Fuchs’ thoughts and cool down his body, the upper part of which was still wrapped in a sweltering leather jerkin.
The young knight shook his head, almost feeling like he had woken up from a long slumber, and finally able to think clearly for the first time in a while.
“May the Holy Goddess have mercy on me…” He muttered out loud, staring at the impressive streaks of centaur semen decorating the vegetation in front of him, deep down, feeling strange pride from having put out so much colt batter just in the span of a few minutes. “Was I really that pent up?” He scratched his head.
Although the intelligent stallion did have a strong hunch about there being something more to the sudden surge of arousal he had experienced, he was again, quick to just stuff it to the back of his mind as the wind carried the gentle tunes of a flute to his ears from the feast. He had managed to calm himself down for now, and that was all that mattered.
“I suppose I should return or else Bernard at the very least will start to get suspicious of where I went… If he hasn’t drunk himself under the table already.” Fuchs said to himself as he began to sober up, stretching his arms and legs as the immense relaxation from his two climaxes gradually wore off.
“Think you’ll be able to keep it together for the rest of the night?” The stallion then craned down his torso, looking in between his legs where a good third of his cock was still hanging outside its leathery home, decorated by a thin strand of cum dangling from the tip. The knight’s question was answered by the distant hoot of an eagle owl, as well as the buoyant notes played from a flute.
“...Thought so.” Fuchs chuckled, launching into a light canter towards the tents and the ongoing feast as the few stars above his head twinkled in the twilight of the early summer night.
