"Supply and Demand"

by Teebo

Notes: I wrote this story as part of a trade for my good buddy Kimmerset. I can only hope that this story is half as good as the one he ends up putting out.

Waking up next to Kimmerset was always an unusual experience. Being curled up against the skunk's belly certainly felt nice, warm and cuddly, but there was still something jarring about the recollection of how much larger it had been before just a few hours' sleep.

Well, not jarring in a bad way, Alexis noted. Oh, it was surprising, sure, but then, if the skunk didn't have such a terrific metabolism, he'd never be able to get away with his dietary habits, the swift fox wagered. Taken in that regard, it was actually kind of impressive.

Still, not as impressive as watching Kimmerset in action, Alexis thought as a thin smile spread across his muzzle. Closing his eyes, the swift fox called up memories of the night before, along with lingering shadows of the (only mildly) guilt-laden arousal he'd experienced watching the black-socked legs of the red fox kicking uselessly in the air as the skunk effortlessly gulped him down. Yes, that had been impressive, as it had always been.

Alexis snuggled back against Kimmerset's front. The skunk murmured, the sound a low, lazy drone rising from deep in his throat; he was still asleep, Alexis could tell. The swift fox wondered whether his friend was so slow to rise on mornings like this because he was sleeping off the meal or sleeping off the sex. He'd never asked. Maybe he should, sometime, he thought to himself.

For several long minutes, Alexis just lay there, enjoying the feeling of warm, chubby skunk wrapped around him, the air still heavy with both their scents, and-if Alexis concentrated hard enough-the faintest remnants of red fox underneath it all. Had Alexis forgotten his name already? Mickey or Nicky or something like that. Didn't matter. In a week, it'd be some other fox, or some rabbit or otter or-

Sharp little teeth pressed in against Alexis' shoulder from behind, accompanied by a quiet growl. The swift fox tensed up all along the spine, even his tail going stock still for a moment until it became apparent that it was just a tiny play-bite. "Morning," the skunk murmured into the fox's twitching ear.

"Jeez, Kim," Alexis said, exhaling the words with a shaking chuckle. "Don't scare me like that."

Kimmerset drew his tongue along the back of the swift fox's ear, letting out a chuckle of his own as Alexis squirmed at the touch. "Oh, don't worry," the skunk purred. "I haven't forgotten our arrangement."

"Well, good." Alexis knew he didn't sound assertive, but then, he didn't feel particularly assertive, either. "Just so long as you remember that." He didn't really think that the skunk would hurt him. Hell, over the past few months, there had been ample opportunity for him to do so, if he really wanted. Plus, their deal had been working out well so far.

The swift fox shifted back a little bit more, the curve of Kimmerset's stomach settling against the curve of his back as he tried to press his backside against the skunk's groin. "You got time for a little quickie before I leave?" he asked.

There was a definite warmth against the root of Alexis' tail, but Kimmerset still sighed. "Not this morning, I'm afraid," he said. "Though the offer is a tempting one." The skunk pressed back, and now Alexis could feel that there was definitely more than just sheath sliding against his fur.

"Hey, I've got time," the swift fox said, extending the offer again.

Kimmerset was already starting to get up from the bed, though. He lazily ran his fingers up through the blue hair between his ears, disheveled after a night's sleep, and then paused to groan softly with a paw on his still somewhat distended gut. "Sorry," he said. "But don't worry; I'll see you again soon." With a wink that was equal parts playful and devious, he then added, "At least, I'd better."

Alexis felt his ears flush up and his pulse start to race. "Don't worry," he said as he leaned over the edge of the bed to fish for his own discarded clothes. "You know I'll follow through."

"That's a good fox," Kimmerset said, his grin wide and toothy as he reached over to ruffle Alexis' quite firmly between the ears.

Upon arriving back at his own apartment, Alexis found that he recalled almost nothing of the trip back home. That was typical, though; evenings at Kimmerset's place always left him with plenty to keep his mind occupied. The first time he'd come back, he'd spent most of the next day just sitting in his room, borderline catatonic, hours passing without his realizing it.

By now, the swift fox wasn't quite that shaken by what Kimmerset did. Still, he wasn't unaffected by it, either. He just had a different perspective on the whole thing, now. He had a different perspective on almost everything, really.

The first night that Alexis and Kimmerset had met, the swift fox had gone from being enchanted with the skunk to being absolutely terrified of him-and then, after they'd struck their deal, he'd gone back to being enchanted, mesmerized, smitten. It wasn't love or even lust-well, not just lust; there was something else, there, something just as base and primal as whatever Kimmerset himself must have felt whenever Alexis came by on his little deliveries.

The world just worked differently for Alexis now. After weeks had turned into months, he'd finally finished accepting that. Even now, though, he wasn't immune to the effects of what he saw. But then, that was part of the point. If he ever took it for granted, where would the fun be?

Fun, yes. Looking for fun was what had gotten Alexis into his predicament in the first place. He wasn't sure quite how he'd managed to turn things around on their shoulders, but the fear and panic were mostly gone, these days, replaced with the fun he'd originally been seeking.

Sitting on the edge of his bed, the fox leaned back, propped up by his arms, eyes closing as he tried to purge the lingering thoughts of the night before from his mind. He still had a week to resume living his normal life, the life of a guy who just went about his unremarkable daily routine, the life of an average citizen, of someone who hadn't struck some terrifying deal in the name of securing his own continued existence.

Memories of Kimmerset's teeth nipping into his shoulder made Alexis gasp and snap out of his little trance. For just a few seconds, the fox felt his blood starting to race, but then he shook his head. No, he reminded himself again; the skunk would have only done that just to give him a cheap thrill. Well, it had worked. Riding that edge of danger was probably part of what captivated Alexis so much now. Part of him had taken to actively craving the rush of fear and adrenaline that came, invariably, with each of his visits.

Normal life, he reminded himself. Back to reality. Back to the everyday. Back to being Alexis, the swift fox who worked as a QA engineer, not Alexis, the swift fox who fed other people to a hungry skunk.

Going out to clubs always flipped the switch in Alexis' brain, turning off the part of him that persisted in trying to live a normal life. The few days in between these adrenaline-fueled nights had become more just a rest period in between the times the fox actually felt alive. How many other people out there lived as he did, now? Surely, he couldn't be the only one-oh, he was probably the only one for Kimmerset, but there had to be others like the skunk out there, and at least some of them had to have helpers like Alexis. Just as those predators had adapted to exist within the confines of normal society, it only stood to reason that potential prey had learned to adapt like Alexis had.

Well, Alexis hadn't really learned, per se; he'd scored a lucky break, and he wasn't going to try to convince himself any differently on that. It had been in a club like this one that he'd encountered Kimmerset for the first time, competing for the skunk's attentions (and affections) with an otter named Timo, and things could very well have transpired so that it was Timo here right now, instead of Alexis, helping to hunt down another free meal.

The first time that Alexis had come to a club specifically to pick someone out to bring back to Kimmerset's apartment, he'd felt sick to his stomach, nervous like a teenager asking his first crush out on a date, scared as child who'd gotten separated from their parent in a crowded mall. Only the memory of the skunk's words ("It's either them or you.") had convinced the fox to go through with his plan. It had still carried with it the morbid overtone of signing someone else's death warrant, something he'd tried so hard not to think about only to fail miserably in doing so. But he'd still done it.

That had been the first time. Tonight was Alexis' ninth time, and now, scouring the local crowd for a victim didn't make him feel nervous or conflicted at all. What had once been a case of, "Which poor, innocent sap am I condemning this week?" had now become, "What might Kimmerset feel like eating tonight?"

Not that it was as simple as picking out a frozen dinner in a supermarket. There was an art to the seduction, Alexis had learned, and he'd come to enjoy the hunt, to enjoy his part in this little scheme. His tail wagged and swished as he got himself a drink and started to work his way through the crowd just like any other single person looking for company for the evening. What might Kimmerset feel like eating tonight?

A rabbit sat alone at a small table over at the far end of the bar. Alexis tried to read his body language, but that was difficult, both due to distance and the number of people between them. The fox made his way closer, careful not to be spotted yet; he didn't want to get roped in to anything too early, or worse yet, drive off a potential easy score.

Once he was closer, though, Alexis was less convinced that the rabbit would be an easy score. Slouched shoulders and slightly drooping ears suggested a lack of confidence, that meant that Alexis could probably score a lunch or coffee date for tomorrow, but likely couldn't get the rabbit to come home with him that night. Since Kimmerset's week-long deadline was expiring in two days, the fox couldn't afford to waste the time.

Someone else, then. Someone more obviously confident and outgoing. Perhaps even someone blatantly slutty, someone who would even jump at the offer of, "Hey, want to come back to my place for a hot three-way?"

Someone like Timo.

Alexis swallowed a lump in his throat. But no, someone with unrestrained sexual energy would be good for tonight. He wanted to draw things out, to have fun with both the skunk and his victim before everything reached that fatal climax. Hell, he knew the rules of the game full well by now. Might as well have fun playing it.

A few minutes of people-watching later, the swift fox spotted his new mark: a young, lithe raccoon who was cutting quite a rug on the dance floor. He was small, but the way he moved showed that he didn't care. His tight denim shorts screamed "slut" almost as loud as his exposed navel piercing did, and his pierced eyebrow only reinforced. He hadn't spotted Alexis yet, but that was going to change.

The fox downed the rest of his drink in one long swallow, then hopped up onto the dance floor himself. Within seconds, his body had found the rhythm and beat of the music, and he just let himself move, his own self-assuredness carrying him along, all the while letting himself get gradually closer and closer to his target.

A minute later, he was close enough to the raccoon that he could call out to him and be heard over the music. "Hey," he said, first making sure that he got the little guy's attention. When the raccoon looked back at him, the fox grinned coyly. "I'm gonna dance right over here where you can see me. If you wanna join in, be my guest."

Exactly as Alexis had expected, the raccoon's eyes showed half a second's worth of indignant standoffishness before his gaze ended up following the movements of the fox's body and got taken in by them. Grinning proudly to himself, Alexis let his tail twist and writhe seductively as he moved, knowing that it would only be a matter of time before the raccoon was, in fact, dancing with him instead of just near him.

Alexis had been right, of course, just as he'd been right about the raccoon (his name was Kama, it turned out) jumping at the opportunity to come back home with him for a no-strings-attached threesome with him roommate. Of course, Kimmerset wasn't actually his roommate, but then, there were also definitely strings attached, too.

Kama, for his part, seemed somewhat blasé about the whole arrangement, as if getting laid had been a foregone conclusion the moment he'd left the house to head out to the club. The swift fox would be happy to oblige him. After all, it was only polite to give him one last bit of wanton pleasure before such an unfortunate send-off.

The drive back to Kimmerset's place felt like an eternity, but that was typical. This was pretty much the last "getting to know you" time that Alexis and his deliveries ever had together, and over the last month or so, the fox had developed some fixation with trying to learn as much as he could about the people he picked up. He wasn't sure why, really-it wasn't as if it was information he was ever going to use-but it was almost like a game or something, one where he was the only one keeping score.

Despite being pretty shameless about heading off heedlessly to have sex with strangers, Kama wasn't just a one-note raccoon, Alexis had been discovering. He was pretty fun and outgoing, and seemed to be an upbeat and optimistic guy. The slutty types usually came off as kind of self-deprecating, as if the sex was either some escape from the boredom of life or else was the only thing they felt like they could contribute. Kama, though, struck Alexis as someone with layers, someone worth knowing.

Not that he'd get to know him, the swift fox reminded himself as he parked the car. Realistically, after they got inside the apartment, the only other things he had a hope of learning about the raccoon were where his erogenous zones were and whether or not he was ticklish.

The door to the apartment was unlocked. As soon as he'd gotten into the car, Alexis had sent a quick text message informing Kimmerset that dinner was on the way; the unlocked front door was the skunk's silent signal to just come right on inside. The fox grinned, then invited the raccoon in with a simple wave. "You want anything to drink or something?" he asked, just to be polite.

"Nah, I'm good," Kama said. He adjusted the front of his too-tight shorts, and Alexis pretended not to notice. "I'm ready to just get down to it if you are."

Alexis smirked. "I'm as ready as you are," he said as stopped by the bedroom door. "Just a round of quick introductions, first." With that, he pushed the door open with his foot, giving the raccoon a look inside, as if he revealing some sort of prize.

Truth be told, Alexis wasn't even sure what Kama would see. A month ago, the fox had brought home a cute cacomistle, and the moment he'd opened the bedroom door, Kimmerset had just snatched him up that very instant (which had been kind of disappointing, since Alexis had been looking forward to fucking the little feller).

Tonight, though, there was no such shock or surprise. The skunk was just there on the bed, sprawled out lazily, his blue hair styled more neatly than his nakedness really required. He first smiled to the raccoon, and then to Alexis. "Well hello there," he said, teeth appearing in his smile.

Alexis had a brief flashback to the first time he'd seen the skunk flash a smile that big, just before Timo had-

"Hello yourself, handsome," Kama said, leaning his back against the door frame. "Alex said his roommate was a skunk, but he didn't say how hot you were."

The swift fox chuckled. "Kama, this is Kim," he said, stepping on into the bedroom. "Kim, Kama. We met at that club over by-"

Kimmerset interrupted him, though. "Well, Alex told me he was bringing someone home, but he neglected to tell me how tasty-looking you were." The fox bit his lip and stifled a laugh; the skunk sometimes liked to slip sneaky little double entendres in.

Kama wasted little time striding up towards the bed, peeling his skimpy half-shirt off as he walked, tossing it aside as he crawled right up onto the mattress. "I guess communication isn't foxy's strong suit, then," he said, his tail brushing over his own heels as he grinned at the skunk.

"Oh, I don't know if I'd say that," Kimmerset replied, casting a wry glance over at Alexis. "He's usually pretty good at making inroads with people on very short notice. That's been my experience anyway."

The raccoon on the bed crawled a little closer to the skunk. His movements, even now, were graceful and fluid, just like-

Just like Timo, the otter, crawling towards the skunk in almost the exact same way. His thick tail swayed side to side, the slick fur of his naked body glistening in the dim light. He lifted his head up, leaned in closer to the skunk, and then opened his mouth to say something that he never had the chance to get out.

Alexis hastily slipped up behind Kama, paws going to the raccoon's hips. "Here, let me help you out with these," he said, undoing the tight denim shorts in front, appreciating the lack of a belt. There was a noticeable tension release as he got the front of the shorts open, and he then proceeded to work at the clasp above the raccoon's tail, which came open even more readily. The fox let his claws graze the fur along the raccoon's hips and backside as he tugged those shorts back and then down.

"You boys aren't wasting time, are you?" Kimmerset pointed out, chuckling as he looked the others over. "If that's the case, why don't you scoot a little closer?" He reached out and crooked a finger beneath Kama's chin, then beckoned and coaxed him to bring that snout in between his legs, where he was rapidly starting to get more and more aroused by the second.

As Kama complied with the skunk's urging, Alexis had to crawl up onto the bed in order to stay with him. He quickly shed his own shirt, then leaned forward, stroking along the raccoon's bare sides. From his vantage, he actually had a pretty good view as the raccoon wordlessly took the skunk's stiffening shaft into his muzzle. The fox's breath got shakier as he spaced out for a few seconds, just staring at the little show that was playing out before his eyes.

The raccoon opened his muzzle nice and wide, then took Kimmerset's shaft even deeper into his mouth, and Alexis bit his lip as he watched.

It had all happened so fast that Alexis couldn't believe he'd seen it. The skunk had just opened his jaws and slammed them completely down around the otter's head in one smooth motion. If it weren't for the fact that the otter was still trapped, his slinky body writhing and thrashing atop the mattress, the swift fox probably still wouldn't have believed his own eyes.

But no, it was real. And the skunk just kept going. He held the otter by the upper arms, then just opened his muzzle again and took more of the struggling mustelid's upper body into his mouth, jaws sealing around the smaller fellow's shoulders.

Alexis, only feet away on his corner of the bed, was paralyzed with fear. Paralyzed. Why the hell wasn't he running?

Kimmerset reached out and rubbed Alexis between the ears. "Hey now, Alex," he warned teasingly, clicking his tongue. "Don't get too hypnotized, yeah?"

Alexis shook his head, tearing his gaze away from the skunk's lap, where Kama's muzzle was now bobbing up and down, nice and smooth. Soft, wet sounds made the fox's ears twitch in time. The smell in the air made his nose twitch even harder.

Undoing his own pants, Alexis was almost surprised at how hard he was already. He took the time to let his fingers stroke and tease along his length as he pulled it out into the open. A quick look up at Kimmerset showed that the skunk didn't appear to be in much of a rush tonight (he'd likely have been noisily licking his chops already otherwise), and if he was going to take his time, that meant that the fox could, too. He worked a single fingertip at his already leaking slit, smearing around the bead of drizzle that formed there, sighing to himself in both pleasure and anticipation.

Kama let out a moan from around the skunk's cock as Alexis pressed the tip of his shaft up beneath the raccoon's tail. The fox teased him by drawing his length up and down the short-furred valley between those pert little cheeks, his paw cupping the raccoon's balls and tugging very gently as he started to bring himself back into position. He stroked that ringed tail, thinking once again about that little cacomistle he'd never gotten to fuck. He'd make up for that now.

With only his natural vulpine leakiness for lube, Alexis started to push forward, very slowly and carefully, and he sighed to himself as he watched his length begin to disappear beneath the raccoon's tail.

Swallow by terrible swallow, the otter disappeared into the skunk's maw. It was all happening so fast. Why was it so horribly quick? Was it because otters were slick and slippery, or was the skunk just that ravenous, that powerful?

In between each wet, saliva-smacking gulp, Alexis could make out the sounds of the otter trying to call for help. But who could help him now? Certainly not Alexis. Not a little swift fox like him, who was probably next, anyway.

Alexis hadn't been next, though, and he wasn't going to be next this time, either. Kama was going to be next. Slutty, shameless, cocksucking, tail-raising Kama. The fox gritted his teeth and started to shift his hips back and forth, his arousal coating that smooth, tight passage as he rocked in and out of it, still nice and slow.

Meanwhile, Kimmerset had begun stroking and petting the raccoon's head, ears, and muzzle. Sometimes he actively and forcefully guided Kama's motions, but more often than not, he just touched and caressed the raccoon. He leaned back, legs spreading further apart, the scent of skunk get subtly stronger through the heavy haze of arousal already assaulting Alexis' nose. Now, both the skunk and the raccoon were groaning and panting loud enough to fully drown out the wet sounds of the raccoon's muzzle.

The fox leaned further forward. He wasn't completely hunched over Kama, but he was able to let his arms slide fully over the little raccoon's body, taking in the warmth of his fur, feeling the shuddering along his spine with each thrust. With only a little encouragement, the raccoon began to press his weight back, rolling his hips and grinding his rump against the fox's front. Alexis grunted and pushed back, in turn, getting nice and deep while he still could. He needed to fill that urge now; he didn't know what Kimmerset would do if he ended up typing with the raccoon at a bad time, and he wasn't keen on finding out, either.

Webbed feet and that thick, rudder-like tail disappeared between the skunk's lips with a smooth swipe of moist tongue. Over the last few moments, the otter's struggles had gotten noticeably weaker, but still hadn't ceased completely. That meant that he was still alive, at least for now.

After sealing his jaws shut, Kimmerset swallowed one last time, and Alexis' eyes stayed wide open as he saw the bulge ripple down the skunk's throat before disappearing. Now, the bulk of that distended weight had shifted to his stomach, stretching it almost impossibly wide.

Alexis whimpered as the skunk licked his lips again and then turned his gaze towards the fox. "So," he said, voice clear and matter-of-fact, as if he hadn't just eaten someone alive, "now the question is: what do we do with you?"

Sometimes, Alexis could hear the rumbling in Kimmerset's stomach as the hunger began to grow in him. The fox hadn't heard it the first time, but then, he hadn't thought to listen for it. He didn't always catch it, and he wasn't hearing it now, but that didn't mean it wasn't there. Besides, it was getting harder and harder to concentrate on faint sounds that may or may not exist while he was caught in the throes of his own pleasure.

His knot had swollen now, and so he was working with shallower thrusts, making sure that the bulb of flesh didn't slip inside Kama's body and get him stuck there. He only needed to hold out for a little bit longer. Just a few more quick little jabs of his hips and he'd-

The swift fox threw his head back and cried out, wordless and desperate, as he got off. The raccoon felt so tight around him, and even without that warmth gripping his knot, the ecstasy was consuming him, surging through his entire body. Something about knowing that this would be the only orgasm he'd experience with his hapless partner made him appreciate, whether consciously or subconsciously, just how special the moment was.

Without the tie to hold him in place, Alexis soon slipped free, his shaft still dribbling messily over the fur of Kama's rump as his head spun and he tried to catch his breath. Part of him had expected the scene to change completely while caught in the grip of climax, but there was the raccoon, still on all fours, still dutifully sucking off the skunk, still oblivious.

Kama's face was fully buried in Kimmerset's lap. With the raccoon's attention markedly elsewhere, Alexis and Kimmerset shared a secret look with one another, and the fox nodded to the skunk before scooting back and rolling over to lie on his back.

Positioning his head down between Kama's legs, Alexis gave the tip of the raccoon's shaft a playful kiss before taking it into his mouth. The fox heard those muffled groans get louder as he went to work, lips and tongue sealing firmly in place as he began to suck. His paws reached up to grab hold of the raccoon's rump, keeping his hips tugged down, the fox pressing his nose into the coarse fur of his groin.

The sounds of Kama's own sucking stopped, followed by a soft gasp as the raccoon lifted his muzzle up. "Oh, wow, fuck," he panted. "Careful, now. I don't want to get off just y-"

Though Alexis couldn't see with his face still pressed into Kama's crotch, he knew that the word 'yet' had been cut off by Kimmerset sealing his muzzle over the raccoon's own. A panicked jolt shot through the raccoon's body, and Alexis had to struggle a bit to keep his hold on those skinny hips, wanting to help keep the skunk's prey trapped, even if he knew the help wasn't really necessary.

Soon, though, Kama's thrashing became so frantic and violent that continuing to try to suck him off became untenable. Reluctantly, Alexis pulled off, and let his head fall back onto the mattress, watching upside-down as Kimmerset's jaws stretched the rest of the way around the raccoon's face and head, sealing his fate.

"Here's how this is going to work," Kimmerset explained in the same matter-of-fact tone. "If you want to leave this bedroom alive, then I want your promise that you're going to work for me."

"Work for you?" Alexis asked. Was this conversation even happening? "What do you want me to do?"

The skunk chuckled. "It's simple, really," he said. "I just want your help in staying well-fed." His paw thumped his stuffed gut, the squirming that the fox had been watching before having ceased completely by now. "Now, if you can promise to keep a secret, and you're willing to bring me someone oh, let's say once a week, then I promise not to eat you."

Alexis was dumbfounded. "You want me to feed you people?"

"We can still have sex if you want, too," Kimmerset replied. "But basically, yes."

Alexis rolled out of the way and sat up on his haunches, watching from a better vantage point as Kimmerset devoured his meal. The skunk held strong and fast to the raccoon's torso, big paws pinning those skinny arms in place as they also lifted the little guy up. The raccoon's feet kicked at the bed, but the only possible way for him to kick and push himself was further up, which likely suited the skunk just fine.

The terror that Alexis had felt when he'd watched Kimmerset eat Timo was nowhere to be felt. That feeling was gone. Now, he felt only the adrenaline, the rush of excitement at seeing the beautiful efficiency of such a perfect predator consuming its prey. Though he'd already gotten off, the fox fondled his spent shaft out of reflex; the sight wasn't specifically an arousing one on its own, but that didn't stop him.

A pained, desperate shriek echoed from inside Kimmerset's open muzzle as the skunk opened his jaws wide enough to seal around the midpoint of Kama's chest. Alexis' ears folded back just a little. His fear may have been suppressed, but a shadow of guilt still remained. The fox remembered their dance at the club, their conversation in the club, the sight of the raccoon's naked body underneath his own. He was a person-had been a person, once, but his revised status as 'food' had been sealed as soon as Alexis had laid eyes on him and decided, "Yes, he'll do."

Kimmerset had been right: it was a simple choice. The swift fox would watch the skunk eat as many victims as he could if it meant guaranteeing his own continued existence. And if, during the course of that, he learned to enjoy it for what it was, what was the harm in that? Was he really any worse than the skunk if he liked it? Kimmerset had to eat, too, and Alexis knew that the skunk felt no guilt in that.

Kama's feet lost purchase with the bed completely as the skunk hauled him higher into the air. The skunk tilted his head back, and the raccoon's legs wheeled about, spectacularly and uselessly, his still-hard cock bobbing between his thighs as he was bodily jostled about. Alexis panted quietly, riding the excitement, staring transfixed as his one-time lover made this one-way trip.

After the raccoon's head and shoulders were stuffed firmly into the skunk's gullet, swallowing the rest of him looked rather trivial to Alexis. He'd tried to ask Kimmerset about the biological details once, but the skunk had brushed him off, and really, the more Alexis tried to think about it, the less he was sure he wanted to know. From his spot on the bed, he saw all he really wanted to see, anyway-the fruits of his labors, the little mark he'd hand-picked for the skunk and had seduced all by himself, all to be brought to this point. There was a kind of power in that, a form of incredible responsibility that the fox had never felt before in any other aspect of his life.

His heart continued to pound in his chest, and the rush of blood in his big ears muted all other sound as he just kept staring, barely blinking at all as he watched the skunk's teeth crest past the raccoon's hips and then the curves of his backside. Those flailing legs got squished closer together, and soon it was just the tip of the raccoon's tail flipping about in the air, his lower legs unable to do much more than shift against one another.

Alexis scooted in closer to Kimmerset as the skunk took a few more swallows, plain and simple gulps that finally pulled the last vestiges of the raccoon out of view forever. The bedroom was then silent, save for the muffled cries from within the skunk's stretched belly, which were already getting weaker by the moment.

"You want me to feed you people," the fox repeated, only this time, it wasn't a question. "That's... That's horrible!"

The skunk just grinned, teeth gleaming in his proud muzzle. "To you, perhaps," he said. "But I'm betting it should be an easy choice for you. I mean, I'm going to eat someone_. It's either them or you."_

The swift fox looked down at his own paws, not willing or able to make eye contact. Each of his breaths was punctuated by a heavy heartbeat. The moments dragged on without him knowing what to say. "Well, I mean, how am I supposed to get you people?" he finally asked, unwilling to add the words 'to eat' to the end of his sentence.

"That's your problem, not mine," the skunk said. He then leaned closer to the fox, and let just the barest tip of his tongue trail across his upper lip. "So... do we have a deal?"

Kimmerset let out an immodest belch, punctuating the end of those squirming struggles inside him. For a few seconds, he just grinned back at the swift fox, and then he slouched some more, his white-furred toes wiggling about.

"You know," he said, the corner of his mouth curling up into a smirk, "I still haven't gotten off yet. Did you want to help out with that?"

Breathless and lightheaded, Alexis recomposed himself, if only partially, and licked his own lips, which had gone dry from his mouth hanging just slightly agape. "Oh, God, do I ever," he murmured.

Days later, Alexis still found himself returning to that night with Kama whenever his mind had cycles to spare. Dull moments at work were spent trying to recall details that had come up during their conversation in the car. When he lay in bed jerking off, he fantasized about fucking Kama again, adding things to the scenario that hadn't actually happened, such as the raccoon begging for his life, and Alexis growling into his ear, teasing him and mocking him for his fate.

That had been the big difference between them: Alexis was important, and Kama wasn't. At the end of the day, Kama was-had been-nothing more than food. Alexis was more than that; he had a role to fill, not just a stomach.

Alexis knew he hadn't earned that, though, and that was something was more and more aware of (and appreciative of) with each passing day. If he'd been closer to Kimmerset than Timo had when the skunk's hunger had kicked in, or if Kimmerset had had a hankering for fox instead of otter that night, or if... if any number of things had turned out differently, then Alexis would have been just another meal, just as helpless and oblivious as the victims whose duty it was for him to track down now.

But whether it had all been just a matter of dumb luck or not, Alexis had survived. He'd had a very real brush with death, and he'd survived. If that didn't teach someone the value of life, what did?

Be that as it may, the swift fox knew that Kimmerset hadn't done what he had just to teach him a lesson. The skunk really did just want to eat, and Alexis made that easier. So long as he kept doing that, he was valuable. How many other people out there could say with that kind of certainty that they contributed meaningfully and tangible to the world around them?

Alexis would need to figure out where he'd go in search of his mark. Part of the reason Kimmerset probably wanted a helper, the fox had concluded, was that it would become very obvious very quickly if folks kept disappearing forever wherever a skunk of his description showed up. Someone like Alexis could blend in more easily, slip in under the radar, escape that sort of inconvenient notice.

It therefore came as quite a surprise to the swift fox when he got a phone call while at work on Friday morning, after he'd already picked out a bar two towns over that he hadn't gone to since before his deal with Kimmerset had even been struck.

"Kim?" he asked as he picked up, trying not to sound too surprised.

"Yeah, it's me," the skunk replied. "Hey, look, I'm going to send you a website link. It'll tell you who I want you to bring over tonight."

Over the last two months, the skunk had never had any specific requests. He'd even specifically said that he didn't care who Alexis found or how he found them. "There's someone you already have in mind?"

"I sure do," Kimmerset said. "Go check it out in a little bit. I think you'll like him." With that, the skunk hung up.

Alexis queued up his computer and checked out the link that the skunk had sent to him. To his further surprise, the link went to someone's dating website profile. The initial shock made the fox blurt out a chuckle, but then he went over the profile itself in more detail, trying to see if he could figure out what was so special about this guy that Kimmerset would have singled him out.

He was a wolf, and his name was listed only as Zerind (the site didn't seem to have a field for last names, probably for privacy reasons). There was nothing in his profile that indicated anything about how easy it would be to get him into bed. His listed hobbies seemed innocuous enough, with interests spelled out in generic terms like 'sports' and 'beer' and 'good bad movies.' It all made Alexis want to scratch his head.

As the fox thought about it some more, though, it made some amount of sense, at least in a roundabout way. For two months, the skunk had been eating whoever Alexis brought home; he hadn't had any input of his own. This Zerind fellow certainly didn't fit the pattern of guys that the swift fox had been tricking back to the apartment as of late. Maybe the skunk wanted a change of pace from the usual-or heck, maybe had a specific hankering or craving, and this was his equivalent of "ordering out."

Thinking about it that way made Alexis just grin and chuckle. Well, if it was a wolf Kimmerset wanted, it was a wolf Kimmerset would get.

Zerind had been quick to respond to the messages Alexis had sent him through the online dating service. Within no time, it seemed, he'd decided that a fox like Alexis was right up his alley, and he suggested they get together for a drink that very night.

"Hey, it's Friday, right?" he'd said in one of his emails.

Exchanging these communiques while on the clock made Alexis feel sneaky and naughty, which suited him just fine. It was like a more innocent and playful preamble to the far more dire events that would play out later that evening. For a little while, it almost felt like real e-dating, before the fox remembered where it was all leading. Then it became something much, much better.

They met at a sports bar, something far more close by and convenient than the place Alexis had picked for his hunting grounds before getting his change of orders from Kimmerset. The place was crowded, but thankfully, the acoustics were good enough that it was possible to have a conversation without shouting. Also, the smell of beer and greasy food was enough to overload Alexis' nose, so that he didn't have to deal with the smell of the crowd, which in a joint like this was probably a godsend.

The wolf was drinking a beer from a huge mug that was probably bigger than Alexis' entire muzzle. He took big, heavy sips, too, but other than that, he didn't have the demeanor of some lowlife barfly at all; his gray fur was well-kept, and his collared shirt gave him an air of just enough sophistication that he didn't look completely out of place among the crowd of guys wearing sports jerseys and ball caps.

Definitely different from the usual type, the swift fox reflected. He wondered how much Kimmerset had found out about the wolf ahead of time.

"So," Alexis said, taking a tiny sip of his own beer. "You said in one of your emails that you think you're kind of an adventurous guy?"

Zerind plucked a fried pickle from the basket in the middle of the table. He chuckled as he held it up, pointing it at the fox. "Now there's a nice, ambiguous term," he said before stuffing the pickle whole into his mouth. He chewed quickly, swallowed, then continued. "Why don't you tell me your idea of adventurous and I'll let you know if I'm in line with you."

Alexis had to mask his smile behind the rim of his beer glass. You don't want to know what my brand of adventurous is, he thought to himself. "Let's just say I'm not talking about mountaineering."

The wolf sized him up and grinned again. "Oh, I dunno. I bet you'd look cute all done up in hiking gear," he said, quiet enough that the probably very straight crowd wouldn't overhear him. He took another big gulp of his beer, then let out a happy sigh. "But you still haven't really answered me."

"Fair enough," Alexis said. He eyed the basket of pickles, but kept his paws to himself. He was worried he might hit it off too well with this wolf, and he didn't want to end up feeling that bad when Kimmerset ended up eating him. Maybe he'd have to dial back on his "getting to know you" game a bit. He'd still need to reel the wolf in, though, and trying to find that perfect balance was a nerve-wracking prospect.

It looked like Zerind was pretty patient, however. He kept his eyes on Alexis, but didn't stare or leer. After a few seconds of the fox not answering, though, he just cleared his throat, leaned in again, and said, "Let me make it easier for you: when were you going to tell me that you're already in a relationship?"

Alexis' ears perked right up, then immediately went red on the insides before he could try to hold back his blush. "What makes you think I'm in a relationship already?" he asked, snatching up one of those pickles just so that he wouldn't be stuck fidgeting with his own paws.

Zerind just laughed, but it was a friendly laugh, not a derisive or mocking one. "It's the little things," he said. "The way you phrased yourself in your emails. The way you look at me like you really like what you see but are still shy about flirting even though you've clearly done this before."

While he'd been embarrassed and even a bit panicked at first, Alexis' realized that he could easily twist this to his advantage. "I guess you're right," he said, smiling sheepishly for effect. "It's not really what you'd call your typical relationship, though." That was only about the biggest understatement ever.

"I figure if it was typical, you wouldn't be here in the first place." Zerind downed some more of his beer. He rapped his claws on the tabletop as he gave Alexis another once-over. "So what's the deal? Where's this adventure of yours going to take me?"

Alexis smiled, and this time he didn't hide it. "How'd you like to meet my roommate?"

The scent of horny wolf overwhelmed Alexis' senses as he drove Zerind back to Kimmerset's place, the car's air conditioning unable to keep things circulating quite fast enough. The fox had to fight to keep his eyes on the road, resisting the urge to take a long look over into the wolf's lap to see how big he was.

In all good time, he told himself. He'd been patient before, and he could be patient now. The ride was uncharacteristically quiet, though, with the fox afraid to ask too many questions, and that just made time seem to drag. Each red light was like an eternity, and each song on the radio seemed to spontaneously generate an extra verse or chorus.

"You all right there?" Zerind asked when they were less than a mile from the apartment.

"Huh? Yeah, of course. Why?"

The wolf chuckled. "Because you're clutching that steering wheel so hard I think it might snap in half."

Alexis looked down at the wheel, and could see that his paws were shaking. He tried to laugh it off as he let his grip relax a little, the tension instead just slipping back into his chest. Oh, God, just a little bit further.

By the time he parked the car, the fox thought he might just burst out of his pants at any moment. He surreptitiously adjusted himself as he opened the door and fished his keys out of the ignition, but he thought Zerind might have seen anyway. What did it even matter, though? They were here. Nothing Alexis did at this point could change where things were going.

"Someone's really excited," Zerind said with a low chuckle as he followed Alexis inside.

The fox could feel how fast his tail was wagging, and so he made it wag even faster for show. "Can you blame me?" he asked, casting the wolf a quick glance over his shoulder.

"Not if you don't blame me."

Alexis set his paw on the doorknob to the bedroom. You'll be blaming me soon enough, he thought, and then pushed the door open, taking a nice, deep breath of the scent of skunk as he entered the room.

Sitting on the bed, just like last week, was Kimmerset, waiting and smiling. He was wearing boxers this time, but the overall effect was very similar, the calm and silent predator just waiting for the night's entertainment to begin.

"Ah, I see you found him," he said.

"Sure did," Alexis replied.

To his horror, he heard Zerind say the exact same thing at the exact same time.

The fox turned to look up at him, his mouth hanging open as he stammered wordlessly. The wolf just chuckled the same friendly chuckle from before and clapped a paw on the fox's shoulder. "Oh, Kim, you were right-he is a cute one!"

Spinning around so fast that he nearly toppled over from his rush of dizziness, Alexis looked back over at Kimmerset, who was stifling some laughter of his own. "Wait, Kim, what's going on?" he asked, panic and confusing warring within him, preventing him from putting all the pieces together. "You two already know each other?"

The skunk casually slipped his half-hard cock out through the flap in the front of his boxers. "Not in person," he said as he reached over to the nightstand. "Just online a bit." He pulled a bottle of lube out of his drawer, then cracked the top open.

Zerind steered Alexis closer to the bed. Now Alexis was even more confused. "So wait, what was all that about me needing to-"

"Aw, he hasn't figured it out yet," Zerind said. "And I thought you said he was one of the smart ones."

"Thought he was," Kimmerset said, getting his fingers slicked up with the lube before starting to stroke himself, not moving yet from his spot on the bed. "I mean, smart enough, considering."

Before Alexis could get another question in, Zerind pushed him onto the mattress. "Guess he doesn't need to be smart," the wolf said. "He smells wonderful, at least."

Time seemed to slow down for Alexis as he stared dumbly upward, watching the wolf lick his chops, the faint smacking sound seeming ten times louder than normal in the swift fox's ears. "Wait, Kim, hold on," he barked out, still too terrified to take his eyes off of Zerind's face. "What's going on? We had a deal! You promised-"

"I promised not to eat you," Kimmerset said. "And that was the only promise I ever made." The skunk continued to stroke himself as if nothing at all was amiss.

Zerind grabbed hold of Alexis' shoulders and hauled the fox up, propping him up on his knees. The wolf leaned forward, keeping his hold on those shoulders as he drew his tongue right up between the fox's eyes, a much darker chuckle rumbling in his throat.

"Kim, please, call him off!" Alexis squeaked out. "I'm... I'm your supplier! You need me!"

The skunk barked out a cruel laugh. "Is that what you think?" he asked. "Oh, foxy. Don't you remember? I caught you all by myself that first time."

When Alexis tried to turn to look back at the skunk, Zerind firmly nudged his head back into position with big lupine muzzle, stealing another lick at the fox's cheek. "But I... I mean, you..."

"I had you make my life a little easier for a couple months," Kimmerset replied. "You weren't the first, and you won't be the last." The mattress shifted as the skunk moved, but Alexis still couldn't see how or where.

Zerind looked past Alexis, and must have seen the skunk flash him some kind of signal, because he nodded and then took one of his big paws and wrapped it right around the fox's slender muzzle. Alexis' eyes went wide, and he tried his hardest to wrest himself free from that grip, but Zerind was far, far too strong for him.

He tried to throw his weight back, instead, but just as he tried to, he felt Kimmerset's paws land on his hips, holding him even more securely in place. The skunk used his knees to nudge the fox's kneeling legs apart, and then he just tore the tail-clasp of the fox's pants open, snapping the button clean off before just yanking them down along with his underwear.

Alexis squealed even louder, but Zerind's grip on his snout just got harder as a result. The fox scrunched his eyes shut as he felt the skunk's lubed-up shaft bearing up underneath his tail, and a few moments later, with barely any teasing or toying at all, felt it starting to push forcibly inside.

Tears started to well up in the corners of Alexis' eyes, and Kimmerset leaned in and licked some of them dry. "That's a good fox," he whispered as he kept pushing his hips forward. "You just hold nice and still."

This wasn't the first time that Alexis had been mounted by the skunk, but-but this wasn't sex. This was something else. This was-

The fox's train of thought went right off the tracks as Zerind extended his tongue, this time lapping right up over one of the fox's eyes, past his forehead and up to one of his ears, which he took whole into his muzzle and started sucking on. His entire body squirmed at the sensation, and behind him, he could feel Kimmerset, shuddering a little more in response. "Not too fast," the skunk warned. "I don't want you finishing him before I'm done with him."

Alexis whimpered pitifully as the wolf kept licking all over his head, matting the fur down with drooling slurps as the skunk rocked his hips, his hard shaft sliding smoothly back and forth. There was no pleasure in it, though-not for the fox, at any rate. With two larger males holding him in place, though, his struggles were less than useless.

Finally, Zerind released his grip on Alexis' muzzle. The fox sucked in a quick breath on reflex, and then had just enough time to squeal out a high-pitched "Please-" before Zerind shut him up again, this time by sealing his chops right down around the fox's snout. The wolf groaned, and the sound of it caused tiny vibrations all through Alexis' head.

Kimmerset's thrusting got a whole lot harder and faster at that, the skunk letting out an aroused gasp as Zerind's jaws parted a bit more, letting his lips slide up past Alexis' eyes, consigning him to near-total darkness. There was still some light creeping in through the imperfect seal of those slavering jaws, allowing the fox to stare at the back of the wolf's throat, which was already rippling in anticipation of the meal to come.

There was just barely enough space for Alexis to keep breathing, but each breath was hot and rank with the dampness of the inside of the wolf's muzzle. It kept him conscious, though, which was a mixed blessing, he soon realized. Kimmerset was still ramming into the fox's sore, stretched rump, having his way with him, nice and rough and concerned only with his own pleasure. Each thrust ended up nudging the fox's head even further between the wolf's jaws.

Sharp claws grabbed at Alexis' back. It took the fox a second to determine that they were Zerind's, which sent him into a new panic. For a second, he was sure that he was going to be torn apart while he was still alive, but instead, the wolf just proceeded to shred the shirt right off of his torso, making short work of the fabric, pulling it completely free just before his jaws managed to seal around the fox's shoulders.

There was conversation happening outside, Alexis could tell, but he couldn't make any words out over the sounds of his own blood in his ears and the hungry, slobbering sounds of Zerind's muzzle. Then, with one fantastic gulp, the fox was forced, muzzle-first, into the wolf's throat, the tightness of it gripping at his skull, forcing his jaws shut, silencing any further protests or cries for help.

Moments later, he felt Kimmerset's hips draw back fully, the skunk's shaft slipping free from his wriggling body. After that, ropes of warm stickiness splattered their way across his rump and lower back, clinging to the fur where they landed. Gravity then went topsy-turvy as Zerind leaned back, lifted, and hauled the fox right into the air. Now Alexis understood just why all of Kimmerset's victims had kicked so hard at the open air despite being such a useless and futile effort-it was either that, or give up quietly, and even as he felt himself getting pulled further and further into the wolf's gullet, Alexis knew that his innate instinct to survive was never going to let him give up quietly.

And so Alexis' legs and feet kept on kicking and flailing about as his body got dragged ever downwards. With each swallow, more and more of him was subjected to the tight, constricting pulses of Zerind's throat, pressing in almost painfully on him as he was funneled towards the stomach below. The wolf's heartbeat seemed to echo all around him, interrupted only by the occasional hungry gurgle that came rising up to meet him.

The fox jerked his legs again as fingers-he couldn't tell whose-tickled at his paw-pads. The wolf's body shook with a hearty chuckle around him, and then a row of sharp teeth pinched softly in against the curves of his sticky, messy backside.

Alexis' sense of up and down was thrown for a loop again as Zerind jerked his head back even further. The fox finally lost his losing battle against gravity, and he whimpered to himself as he felt his own weight pull himself down even faster than the wolf could swallow. That huge tongue lapped at his shins, then at his feet and toes, and then there was one final gulp and all that licking stopped.

With all perspective of time gone, Alexis wasn't even sure how long it had taken the wolf to swallow him whole. It had felt like forever since he'd last drawn breath, though, and now that he was packed tight in this cramped, dark, dank stomach, trying to do so was still impossible. Nothing felt right anymore. Nothing made sense. There was tingling, and there were noises, and there was...

There was some patting, the patting of paws, paws on the outside of the wolf's gut, that thick, fleshy wall that now kept Alexis separated from the outside world that he'd once been a part of. There was rubbing, then-gentle rubbing, tender rubbing, but it was getting harder for the fox to feel it.

Words again, from the outside-God, why did they sound so far away? The voice was familiar, though. Yes, familiar. Kimmerset?

"Okay. So maybe he wasn't all that smart after all."
