Sobek
Author's note: This is my first yiff story ever to be written... who knows? I may write more.
Ancient Egypt. 3045BC. Giza. On the city border, in a small sandstone hut belonging to a young merchant by the name of Tehkmet.
Sehkmet rolled over in his sleep, his subconscious mind being flooded with dream after dream, each one as bizarre and nonsensical as the previous. Then came a dream he recognised. Not one of bizarreness or randomness... one of fear.
_"Tarjal! Get out of there!" Sehkmet cried, waving his arms frantically, his face blanching as he watched his partner wade across the Nile. Tarjal grinned over his shoulder, opened his mouth to reply and instantly got a mouthful of river water.
"I'm... fine! It's clear... okay?" he called through hacking coughs.
Something was disturbing the water's surface a few hundred cubits downstream. Sehkmet had just seen a scaled tail disappear below the surface of the green-blue water, his eyes widening.
"TARJAL! There's a crocodile!" he screamed, pointing towards where the tail had sunk out of sight. Tarjal looked over to there and smirked.
"Yeah, very funny."
He carried on paddling lazily through the water, completely oblivious to the immense reptile gliding effortlessly through the undercurrents, towards the young man. The crocodile eyed his prey with his half-lidded eyes, the immense jaws opening, ready to strike.
"Please Tarjal..." Sehkmet whimpered, "please come back..."
Tears streaked his face. Tarjal saw these and sighed, turning about in the water and breast-stroking back towards his partner. Sehkmet's face lit up a little from this, kneeling down by the water's edge and holding his hand out.
Just then, there was a sudden rush of water. The loud splash of the spray wasn't enough to cover the rumbling growl and the agonised scream of Tarjal. Sekhmet threw up his arms to shield his eyes from the water, gasping in shock. At first, he didn't know what had happened, he just knelt there in shock, his face covered by his tanned arms. It wasn't until he no longer heard splashing that he finally lowered his arms.
It took him a while to realise that the water droplets on his arms were tinted pink. He took a shuddering gasp and fell back onto his hands, whimpering, staring at the water. A large dark red patch of river was a few feet from him. He slipped from the bank and fell into the cold bloody water, his face coated in the blood of his former lover._
Sehkmet jolted awake, a cold sweat trickling down his forehead. He wiped it off and looked to his side, gently stroking the other half of the bed. A single tear made it's way lugubriously down his cheek and onto the linen sheet. With a sigh, he brushed the salty tear off of his face and swung his legs out of bed, numbly finding his sandals with scarred toes.
The human made his way through the darkened room to the wooden door, pushing it open with his elbow. Down the stony steps he trudged until he entered the kitchen, dragging his feet through the sand, kicking the crumpled body of a scorpion into the corner. He looked out into the back yard, examining his sundial from a distance.
"Nine... fifteen." He muttered to himself, drawing his head back inside and pulling out a ceramic urn from the cupboard, pouring himself a small cup of wine and downing it in one gulp.
He shivered slightly from having done this so soon after waking up and turned away from the window, scratching behind his head at a persistent itch.
"Why Tarjal?" he murmured, staring blankly at the wall in front of him, the stone head of Anubis the Jackal god staring right back at him.
He believed, if he said that question enough to the God of the Dead... that he may get an answer. From Tarjal or Anubis, he didn't know.
There was a sharp tap-tap on his front door, making Sehkmet start. He put down his empty cup and shuffled to the wooden sheet, pulling it open. There stood a Palace Guard, glaring down at the merchant, his spear held tightly in his gloved hands. The king always had his guards wear gloves... nobody knew why or cared. As far as the general population was concerned, the Guards were best when not in your face.
"Sehkmet Arkhat. Have you the package that our king has asked for?" he grunted, his expression not changing in the slightest.
Sehkmet sighed and nodded, reaching into a cupboard behind the door and pulling out a statue. It was a cat, with two minuscule emeralds for it's eyes and gold filigree laid into the body to create a shimmering fur effect. It was quite a remarkable item.
"Thank you Arkhat, his majesty will be most pleased with this artefact."
The merchant nodded dully and closed the door in the guards face, retreating back and sinking down onto a stone bench in the corner, leaning his head back against the rough wall. The drudgery was unbearable. If Tarjal was here... he wouldn't be so alone and bored... that's for sure. He slapped himself.
"Get over yourself Sehk... he's gone and there's no point mourning still, three years later." He hissed to the still, Egyptian air. Resigning himself to the inevitable, he picked up his worn staff and trudged out of the door, shutting it behind him with a snap and making his way down towards the river.
The river was as it ever had been since that fateful day three years ago: blue-green and surging towards the delta. Sehkmet sank down onto the riverbank, lifting his staff and idly poking the water to amuse himself with the odd shaped ripples his disturbance created. It didn't work however. He sighed sadly and leant his head forwards, resting his cheek on his left knee and staring off downstream.
It was as he did this that Sehkmet noticed something odd. What appeared to be a large malformed log was slumped on the riverbank. Tentatively, the merchant withdrew his staff from the water and crawled along the side of the river towards the 'log'. As he drew nearer, he saw that it was scaly... his heart froze. It was a crocodile. Anger suddenly coursed through his veins as he gripped his staff tightly, seeing that the reptilian was unaware of his presence.
He took a closer step and saw that there were deep wounds all over the crocodile's body that looked like they'd been made with harpoons. A shard of barbed metal protruding from a wound near the reptile's head confirmed his suspicion. No matter. He raised his staff, ready to finish off the creature... then it looked up at him. Its large green eyes stared right into Sehkmet's, making the merchant shiver slightly, holding the staff poised... but not striking.
The wounded crocodile opened its mouth and let out a low despairing growl. It wasn't threatening... it was pleading, begging for help. The desperation for help in its guttural noise struck Sehkmet as being the same way he had pleaded Tarjal to come back to shore. He drew in a short breath and lowered the staff, kneeling down beside the crocodile. He couldn't believe he was doing this... he wasn't killing the very thing he hated. As though something else was controlling him, he put down his staff, which rolled away and into the river... but he didn't attempt to get it - his attention was totally focused on the reptile.
He sighed softly and gently ran his hand over the scaled head before, resigning himself to his emotions, leaning down and whispering audibly to the croc.
"I'll be right back..."
With that, he scrambled back up the riverbank slope and walked as fast as he could back to his hut. He threw open the door and looked around for something he could use... then he saw his wooden cart out in his back yard next to the sundial.
Minutes later he was back at the crocodile's side, gently lifting the large reptile onto the cart, struggling to support its weight. After a couple of tense minutes, the croc was in the cart, barely moving and its breath low and pained. Sehkmet carted the reptilian back towards his hut as fast as he could without being spotted. He opened his back door with a kick and pushed the cart indoors.
The merchant looked down at the croc, something similar to sympathy sinking into his heart. He couldn't be feeling this... not to something he'd hated for the past three years... but he was. He smiled weakly to the reptile, reaching out to stroke the large scaly snout before moving his arms to its underside. With immense difficulty, Sehkmet lifted the croc into his arms, his legs trembling under its weight.
He went as fast as he could up the stairs without damaging the huge reptile in his arms, pushing his bedroom door open with his foot. He staggered over to his large bed and slowly lowered his charge onto the linen sheets. Without pausing to think, he turned to the sink behind him and grabbed a white cloth and filled a bowl with cold water from the indoor pump. Turning back to the croc, he set the bowl down by the bed and knelt down beside the wounded creature. With slow movements, he soaked the cloth in the water and dabbed gently at the large gashes and cuts, mopping up the blood and cleaning the wounds.
The crocodile hissed softly in pain as it felt his wounds being dabbed at by something unknown to him. It turned its head towards the human that was tending to its injuries. This human... wasn't afraid of it.
"Th-thank you..." the reptile growled gently.
Sehkmet dropped the cloth in alarm, staring at the large reptilian head and back into those emerald-green eyes. He couldn't believe it.
"Y-you can talk?" he croaked, sweat coursing down his face. The crocodile nodded as best as a crocodile could.
"Yes... one of the few of my kind who learned."
"But... how?"
"I do not... know..." he looked up a little "... what's your name human?"
Sehkmet was slightly taken aback by the fact that a crocodile was asking for introductions. Reluctantly, he went along with it.
"Sehkmet... Sehkmet Arkhat." He murmured. The reptile smiled.
"Sobek." The croc was all the croc was able to say before he passed out.
Sobek awoke the next day to find the human by his side once more, dabbing away at his rapidly healing wounds. There was a pause before he spoke.
"Th-thank you... for doing this... But I must ask... Why?" He looked into the human's eyes again, maintaining that connection from when they first met. Sehkmet stopped cleaning the wounds in the scaly hide and just held his hand on the crocodile's back.
"I... don't know..." he said quietly. Sobek saw something flicker in the back of the merchant's eyes.
"What happened..?" he asked softly, a gentle growl reverberating in his voice, "something happened long ago to you.." Sehkmet bit his lip, the old memory of his lover being killed by a crocodile striking him once again. Tears formed in his eyes as he looked into Sobek's.
"Th-three years ago.." he murmured, struggling even to speak, "...my lover.. Tarjal... he was killed by one of your kind..." he smiled dryly. "I've hated your kind since then... but now I'm helping you. I guess it's because I saw the same desperation in your eyes when I found you on the riverbank... that was in my eyes when Tarjal was taken."
Sobek blinked and let out a soft growl that might have been hiding a gentle sigh. He shook his body slightly, making sure he had feeling in all of his limbs. He did. He turned slowly on the bed to face the human before lifting one of his front legs and placing a clawed paw on top of Sehkmet's hand.
"I'm so sorry Sehkmet..." he squeezed the hand under his gently, "I truly am."
Sehkmet couldn't control himself now. He whimpered then flung himself forwards, wrapping his arms about the crocodile's body, holding himself close and sobbing hard into the smooth scales. Sobek did all he could to hold the human, he lifted both of his front legs and managed to place his clawed paws on his friend's back, whispering soft, comforting growls in a vain attempt to soothe the human.
"I m-miss him S-Sobek." the human sobbed. Sobek nodded his head as best as he could and nuzzled the tip of his snout into the human's neck in another attempt to comfort him.
"Shh.. shhh.. it's alright..." the crocodile whispered. Then he added before he could stop himself, "I'm here now."
Sehkmet paused at this, leaning his head back to look into the croc's eyes again, his face barely an inch from Sobek's snout tip. Then, without even thinking about it, he leaned his head forwards the rest of that inch and placed a gentle kiss on the reptilian's scaled lips. Sobek was taken aback by this, but he let out a soft growl and opened his jaws slightly, licking at the human's lips with his large tongue.
Sehkmet closed his eyes as he stroked the muscular, scaly shoulders under his fingers. What was he doing? He was becoming intimate with a crocodile! This was unbelievably wrong... yet it felt so right. The feel of the soft tongue running across his lips made him breath in through his nose sharply, instinctively parting his lips and allowing the large reptile's tongue to access his mouth. Sobek's tongue slid inside slowly, lightly grazing across the human's blunt teeth before gently stroking the top of the other tongue it found. The taste of Sehkmet's tongue and saliva drove him a little bit over the edge.
The crocodile's claws moved slowly down the human's back, the clawtips gently massaging each individual muscle as they descended, both creatures still locked in their kiss. Sobek's claws found the waistband of Sehkmet's legwear. He stopped there, not wanting to be more intrusive than this. The merchant, on the other hand, did want this. He moved his hands down his own sides to gently push at the crocodile's claws, urging them to unclothe him. Sobek sighed gently into the kiss and slid his claws down, pulling off the rest of Sehkmet's clothes, leaving him completely nude and, the crocodile noticed, quite aroused. Sehkmet did not care for his nudity and arousal, he leaned his head back ever so slightly and mercifully broke the kiss.
"Please... take me Sobek..." he begged in nothing more than a whisper.
The crocodile let out a tiny growling whimper from the kiss being broken, but nodded slowly. He used his muscular front arms to pull the human slowly onto the bed with him, the merchant making it easier by clambering up as well. The naked human was now pressed against the crocodile's side, his engorged cock rubbing against the scales. Sobek couldn't believe this was happening. However, he slowly rolled onto his back, his four legs slightly outstretched, displaying his genital slit to the human. Sehkmet took the unspoken invitation and slowly crawled forwards, running his fingers over the smooth-scaled legs and up the sides.
Then he slowly brought his hands down the middle, his fingers coming to a halt right on top of the slit. There he started to caress the soft-scaled lips of his reptilian lover's slit, urging him to become as aroused as he was. Sobek let out a soft churr from his throat, his body squirming under the human's caresses and his tail gently rubbing against one of Sehkmet's thighs. The merchant slowly lowered his head towards his new lover's genital slit, sliding his tongue out of his mouth and carefully dragging the tip of it between the closed lips, savouring the salty taste of crocodile musk.
The thing that Sehkmet had been waiting for started to happen before him - the genital slit was slowly opening, pushed open by Sobek's own member. Out it slid, glistening like moist flesh in the faint light within the bedroom. The smell of the musk was overpowering to the merchant, so he tentatively ran his tongue along the growing crocodile cock, tracing with the tip of his tongue from the tip all the way down to the immense knot at the base. This was the second animal he had seen with a knot at the base of their penis. The only other he knew of was the canine... but this knot was just as wide as the cock itself. The merchant sighed happily as he breathed in the scent of his reptilian lover, enjoying the taste of the slick member under his tongue. Sobek groaned and growled in lust at the same time, making him seem less dominant than he was.
"Sehkmet... take it in you..." he growled quietly, his tail swishing slowly between the human's legs, brushing against the merchant's own cock.
Sehkmet nodded and gradually climbed on top of Sobek, licking and kissing along the crocodile's neck. Sobek used the immense strength within his body to turn himself over, so that the human was underneath him, his throbbing cock pressed against his lover's. The slick length slid slowly downwards as Sobek shifted slightly. It dropped between the merchant's legs then back up underneath Sehkmet's ballsack as the crocodile climbed back up to lay atop of his human. Sehkmet gasped gently as he felt the engorged tip of the immense member touch against his gluteals, sliding in between them to press against his anal ring.
"Are... are you sure you want me to do this?" whispered Sobek, rubbing the side of his snout against Sehkmet's cheek. The merchant nodded, wrapping his arms about his newfound love, stroking the hard scales on the crocodile's back.
Sobek closed his eyes, held on to Sehkmet's body with his front paws and slowly pushed the tip of his immense cock inside the human. Sehkmet bit his lip and whimpered with pain and pleasure as he felt the huge shaft stretch his anus wider than it had ever been stretched with Tarjal. After the large cockhead had finally slipped in, he clenched his anal muscles around the thick member, which continued to slide in inch by pleasuring inch. The crocodile stopped sliding into the merchant when he felt his knot press against the other male's buttcheeks. Of all the things that could have happened to him in his lifetime, he never thought that he would be making love with a human. Neither could Sehkmet believe that he was doing the same with a crocodile.
"Ohh Sobek..." the merchant groaned, holding the crocodile's heavy body close against him, his own cock squeezed between their two bodies. The smooth scales rubbing against the sensitive underside of his length was exquisite, heightening his arousal. Then, Sobek started to pull out slowly, the ball-like cockhead dragging against his insides and the belly scales acting as a frictional surface by which his own human length was caressed with every thrust that was to come.
The crocodile continued to pull out until the base of his cockhead was at the entrance of the human's tight hole, then he pushed back in, this time a little harder and therefore meeting little resistance - but eliciting a strangled groan from his human. He opened his jaws and gently licked under the human's ears, along his neck and over his cheek as he started to slowly pick up a rhythm with his thrusting - making sure to press his belly against Sehkmet's cock to ensure that it was attended to.
The rhythm started to take shape - thrusting in and thrusting out slowly, but picking up speed with every push into his lover that Sobek made while the smooth scales on the crocodile's underside ground against the human cock, encouraging orgasm while approaching orgasm himself. They seemed to continue like this for hours, just connected in lust and love, until finally Sehkmet gasped to his crocodile.
"S-Sobek... I'm ab-bout to....unggh!" he groaned, arching his back underneath the crocodile. Both beings felt the human cock pulse between them. Sehkmet felt his balls tighten in what he knew would be one of the wildest orgasms in his life. It came. His length shuddered and pulsed, forcing out as much ejaculate as his testicles would allow. The thick white cream from his cock spurted out between the two heaving bodies, coating both of their chests. Sehkmet shivered from such an amazing orgasm and slowly relaxed underneath his lover, letting him continue his thrusting - the now slick length was still being ground against the smooth, moist scales - whereby the human's pleasure was increased still, even after release.
Sobek on the other hand continued to thrust in and out of his tight lover's hole, a steady stream of pre oozing out into the human's innards. He had never felt a lover like this. No female in the Nile had been this tight or warm...nor as caring either.
It took at least another fifteen minutes for the inevitable to happen. Sobek's thrusts picked up even more speed into Sehkmet, his lustful growls vibrating in his throat against his human's shoulder. Sehkmet knew that the crocodile was about to release into him and held on tightly, knowing that this was going to be a rough end. Sure enough, the merchant felt the immense length pulse and shudder inside him, closely followed by immense loads of crocodile cum. Spurt after spurt of Sobek's ejaculate filled his insides rapidly and the crocodile thrust harder and more wildly, eager to finish off his orgasm within his lover, pounding his knot against the loosening hole until it finally forced it's way in. Sehkmet let out a strangled cry as he felt the immense knot push through his hole, locking his body to the croc's.
Sobek heard this cry and came to his senses, starting to pull out again - properly this time. Sehkmet on the other hand didn't want this to end, and held the croc more tightly to him.
"No... stay in me..." he moaned, holding his cheek to the reptile's, "...stay with me.
Sobek neither nodded or made any sign of affirmation, he just stayed there, hilted and locked with his lover for what seemed like hours. Eventually, the croc slowly pulled out of the human, a few trickles of the load he had just released inside the human trickling out of the stretched hole. Sehkmet sighed softly, running a finger down his own semen-coated chest before turning to his crocodilian lover and wrapping his arms about him. Sobek shifted his exhausted body against the merchant's, keeping himself close.
"Sleep now, Sehkmet... sleep..." he murmured before he himself drifted off into slumber, the gentle breathing reverberating against Sehkmet's chest. The merchant whispered something to the sleeping crocodile before he too fell asleep, holding the male to his chest.
Sehkmet awoke the next day to the morning sun pouring through the gaps in the shudders on his windows. There next to him was his crocodile, Sobek. He smiled happily and softly stroked the scales on the sleeping crocodile's back.
There was a loud knocking on the door downstairs that made the merchant jump a little. He heaved himself out of bed and re-clothed himself. Down the stairs he dashed until he reached the kitchen, pulling open the door and blinking in the bright Egyptian sunlight. There in front of him was the guard that had collected the statue two days ago.
"What is it? The king is not pleased with the cat?" he muttered groggily, rubbing his eyes. The guard scowled at him.
"Watch your tongue, peasant. His majesty has caught word that you have a talking crocodile in your abode."
Sehkmet suddenly became very awake. He stared up at the guard, hardly daring to believe his ears. How could people have known about this? Unless... He felt sick inside... Unless someone watched him with the crocodile. Saw the two of them making love. He couldn't lie to a Royal Guard... so he nodded.
"Yes... this is true." he muttered, looking down at the sand. The guard tapped the merchant on the top of the head with his spear.
"Oi, you are to bring your crocodile to the palace for an audience with your king." the guard ordered. Sehkmet felt his stomach turn to ice. Before he could say anything, the guard turned around and marched back up towards the palace. The merchant again felt sick. What was he going to do? He heard a noise behind him and wheeled around. Sobek was there, looking up at him from the sandy floor.
"D-did you hear...?" stammered Sehkmet, looking down at his lover. Sobek nodded and crawled across the floor to nuzzle against the human's leg.
"It's alright... if you do not go, you will be killed for disobeying the king. Let us go now..." he growled softly, pushing against the human's leg. Sehkmet bit his lip.
"Bu...but if he sees you talk, he will demand that you be his personal pet." the merchant whimpered, kneeling down beside Sobek and stroking the crocodile's scaly nose. Sobek nodded again and licked at Sehkmet's arm.
"It's okay... I have an idea..."
Sobek didn't tell Sehkmet this idea so the merchant resigned himself to opening the door again and leading Sobek out into the street leading towards the palace. Several people outside gasped as they saw the merchant trotting up towards the palace with a Nile crocodile at his side... and the crocodile not attacking him or anyone else. Several women screamed in fright as they came around the corner to see this. Children hid behind their parent's legs and several of Sehkmet's friends called out jealous remarks to the merchant. Sobek wanted to severely hurt all those who were beguiling his love, but a look from Sehkmet disarmed him.
They reached the palace door, which was held shut by six armed guards. They saw Sehkmet and Sobek, realised who they were and immediately opened the door, showing the two inside the palace. Sehkmet trudged unwillingly through the palace with Sobek at his heels. Occasionally, the crocodile would nuzzle against the merchant's ankles as if to say 'it's okay..'
Another door was opened and they suddenly found themselves entering the cavernous throne room. The king was there on his throne, watching the two enter with an eager, hungry smile on his face.
"Your majesty, King Ramses! I bring Sehkmet Arkhat, the owner of the talking crocodile." a guard at the front called out in the silent throne room. Sehkmet bit his lip again, watching the king rise from his throne, signalling to the guards. The six guards backed off from their two charges and retreated to their posts outside the doors. Sehkmet sank down on one knee as the king approached. Even Sobek bowed his head respectfully.
"Your majesty." murmured Sehkmet. Sobek said nothing, still looking down at the floor. Ramses looked imperiously down at the merchant then at the crocodile.
"Well?" he said impatiently, "Aren't you going to greet me, reptile? You can talk can't you?"
Sobek again said nothing, still looking down at the floor. Sehkmet was wondering what the hell his lover was playing at. He tilted his head to the side to look at the crocodile. Sobek was deliberately not looking at him.
"Talk, beast!" the king commanded, tapping the top of the crocodile's head. This was a very dangerous move to do to such a feared animal. But Sobek merely lay there, breathing quietly and acting as calm as ever. Ramses looked furious. He stood up and turned to look at Sehkmet.
"Your crocodile is allegedly able to talk! He doesn't! You liar! Guards! Execute him!" he roared, spit flying from his mouth, making him look quite insane.
A guard marched forwards behind Sekhmet and drew out his Khopesh. He raised the blade as he approached the merchant, ready to decapitate the 'liar'. There was a sudden movement as the blade came down. Sobek had snarled and thrown himself in the way of the blade, knocking Sehkmet out of the way. The crocodile roared in pain as the blade cut through his scaly hide and opening up his side. Blood gushed out of the fatal wound in the reptile's side.
Sehkmet shook his head to remove the disorientation from being knocked over and looked around to Sobek. His eyes widened as he saw the blood and the immense wound.
"SOBEK!" he cried, throwing himself forward to the crocodile's side. The king and the guard stood there, looking down at the bleeding crocodile and the desperate merchant.
Sobek tilted his head to look at Sehkmet, seeing the merchant's eyes fill with tears which rolled down the fleshy cheeks and onto the floor, mingling with his own blood. He seemed to smile very slightly so only Sehkmet could see. Sehkmet was sobbing now, holding himself to the crocodile's body, whimpering into the scaly hide once more.
"Please don't leave me Sobek... I... I love you..." the merchant cried. With difficulty, the crocodile moved a bloodstained front paw to place against the human's back. With even more difficulty, he opened his jaws and spoke.
"I... love you too Sehkmet... take care of yourself... remember me."
Then he was gone.
Sehkmet burst into tears and held the crocodile's limp form against himself, not caring that he was slowly being coated in the reptile's blood, not caring that the king was staring down at him in fury. A guard seized him by the shoulder, ready to drag him away. Sehkmet held on tightly to Sobek's body, not allowing himself to be taken away so easily. The king lifted a hand to the guard... who backed off with an apologetic bow.
"Sehkmet Arkhat," he said quietly, the fury fading from his face as he knelt down beside the weeping merchant, "I... I am sorry... I didn't realise that he... really could speak..." Sehkmet lifted his head and glared at the king, not caring about the consequences of him doing so. Nothing happened to him however. The king merely smiled and placed a hand on the merchant's shoulder. Sehkmet shook it off with a growl much like Sobek's.
"You killed my love... don't touch me." he snarled. The king looked sympathetically from Sehkmet's furious eyes to the limp form of Sobek.
"You have every right to be angry with me... but you have brought before us the greatest thing we have ever witnessed... a talking crocodile. One of the water lords that could communicate in our tongue. He shall be remembered throughout history."
He gave Sehkmet's shoulder a gentle squeeze.
"Sobek, the Crocodile Water God of the Nile."
And so, throughout the rest of history... even until this day... the crocodile lover of the merchant Sehkmet Arkhat was remembered as the Crocodile Water God of the Nile.
