I got my inspiration for this lemon from the game Golden Sun 2: The Lost Age (Great game, if you haven't played it yet, go get it now!)
Anyway, there was a village in the game that was under the protection of a guardian dragon. However, the dragon demanded a maiden sacrifice every year in return for the protection. When you talk to the villagers, they wonder why the maiden has to be young woman. I wonder what the dragon's reasons could possibly be... ;)

Sometimes, after several months, she would suddenly return to the village. However, they always seemed to suffer from amnesia once they returned, as if their memory had been wiped. But most of time, the female chosen would never be seen again.
The village elders had created a method for choosing who would be sacrificed to the Dragonite. A month before the day came, they would go around and collect the names of every female Pokemon who was of the age demanded by Dragonite. All the names would then go into a lottery in which 16 Pokemon are chosen. They would then battle in a 1 on 1 tournament, the winner of each match would clear her name and the loser would go on to face the loser of another match. The overall loser is the female to be sacrificed.
Throughout the years, a particular Nidoqueen had been working tirelessly to figure out exactly what the Dragonite did with the female. Unable to get any answers from those who came back, she decided that this year she would have to find out on her own. Nidoqueen rigged the lottery so that she was one of the 16 chosen. She was told to sit on the rock and await the arrival of Dragonite. The elders wished her luck, bid her farewell, and left her by herself in the clearing.
