Providence CH 4
Imported from SF2 with no description.
Michael landed on a cold, evil planet, and looked around. His eldritch form walked toward a cave opening, and walked into it. The darkness surrounded him, and he lit his wings with a dark blue flame. A voice echoed through the large cavern.
“Your too late, he is already long gone." The voice chuckled.
“I will find him later, but now I have been looking for you." Michael replied.
“Oh yeah?" The voice replied. “And what are you going to do?"
“Kill you." Michael smiled.
A bright flash cast away the shadows, and revealed a human. Michael had changed to his human form, his jet-black wings fluttered behind him. Another form was standing in front of him, he was pale, his hair completely white. He was malnourished, his skin appeared to barely hang from his bones.
“I'm an Origin, you cannot kill me, or you won't." The pale human smiled.
“Why not, every Origin that has died has died by my hand, why wouldn't I kill you?" Michael smirked.
He flicked his wrist, and a sword appeared in his hands, the other human winced.
“Now, do you mind telling me why you were in Providence, and why you created an eldritch dragon?"
“You were going to wipe out the human race."
“From that one planet, they were going to wipe out a species that only existed in that dimension, humans are everywhere."
“Sacrifice to preserve the species, were there really no other ways?"
“Not ones that fit the species, they aren't suited well to live in the ML."
“And you had to move them anyway."
“Because of a crystal you made." Michael squinted.
“Clever little spell, wasn't it?"
“You killed millions of innocent dragons, and hundreds of thousands of wolves."
He shrugged. “This is my way."
“Not anymore." Michael said, and lifted his sword. “Goodbye Delios"
Michael lifted his sword, and threw it. Delios tried to dodge but found that he was frozen in place. The sword sank into his chest, and he gasped. The power of the sword immediately obliterated him, leaving nothing behind. Michael looked around and sent out another pulse, but as Delios had said, Liam was no longer there. He sighed and looked around the cave, before returning to his earlier form and vanishing. He teleported to the nearest ISS and sat down at a desk.
“Sir?" A voice called in his head.
“Yes? What is it?"
“We need you to return to Providence ASAP, it's your son, Liam."
Michael immediately teleported, and appeared next to the entrance to the hidden city that he found Liam's egg in. Liam himself was floating in the air, a black aura radiating from him.
“LIAM." Michael called. “You've been corrupted, come down here so I can fix it."
“This is what I was meant to be, this is my purpose."
“Liam, when I adopted you, your purpose changed, you have no purpose other than to change your own fate."
“But this is the reason for which I was created."
“Forget that, he created you so he could get revenge on your entire species."
“You are lying, just how you always lied, you could have found my parents."
“I never lied, I found your father, you know this, he died before you were lain, your mother's records were not in the archive, which means she is from another dimension. The being that amplified you used you to bring forward vengeance."
“I will do what I was created to do, I will find the royal gems, and take them to my master."
“There is nobody to take them to, he's dead, I killed your so-called master."
Liam gasped. “You're lying."
“Liam, I never lied to you."
Liam landed in front of his father, and stared into his eyes, the horde that was slowly moving towards them started to reach the two dragons. Michael flicked his wrist, and the zombies dissolved into dust.
“I will still carry my purpose; I will destroy the Dracios Elementia species."
Michael chuckled. “You will never be able to do that, they are with the ML now, the forces that protect them are far more powerful than you, even without me."
Liam narrowed his eyes. “There are other ways."
“What? Like a Fetinos spell? You won't be able to gather the ingredients or the power for that."
Liam growled. “I will figure it out, and you won't be able to stop me."
Liam lunged forward and fell through Michael as he vanished. He looked around and watched as Michael reappeared and rushed forward.
“If you won't let me remove your corruption than I will have to banish you." He roared.
Liam ducked, and Michael spread his wings, then shot a massive beam on energy at his son. A portal opened behind Liam and he was thrown through it, then closed quickly. Michael sighed and looked at the horizon, and watched as a large explosion appeared, then another, and another. Soon, dozens of these explosions rang through the planet, vaporizing the hordes instantly. Now it was time for Michael to totally clear the disease from existence. He took flight and made his way to the nearest intact city.
Sapphire looked up as her father landed in front of her, Sam was teaching the kids to hunt, while she was napping in the sun.
“What happened, is Liam okay?"
“No, sadly, he is corrupted, and I banished him."
“Do you know where he is?"
“No, I sent him very far, and have trapped him in whatever dimension he landed in. He refused to be healed, and he wants to remove the fertility from your entire species."
“What? Why?"
“Because the eldritch god who created him told him to do that, right before I killed him."
Sapphire sighed and turned to her mate. “Are you going to look for him?"
“No, he will have to get rid of the corruption himself, then he can come back."
“What if he never does?"
“Then sadly, Liam is gone."
Sapphire cringed. “Forever?"
“Forever."
Michael nuzzled his daughter. “Sorry, I tried, but there is only so much I can do, his corruption can only be safely removed if he chooses it."
She nodded, and he laid down next to her. She looked down and sighed.
(Twenty-Five Years Later)
Sapphire woke up and looked over at her mate, she slowly got up, and walked over to their desk.
'Sam, my love, I have been thinking a lot lately, and have decided that I must at least try to find my brother. Our children have moved away, and before we have another clutch, I want to at least try to find him. I want nothing more but to bring you with me, but it is too dangerous. I will return, as soon as I can, but until then know that I love you, and I will see you soon.'
She looked over at him, and sighed, before setting the note on the ground and walked out of the cave. She charged her magic and opened a portal, and after looking back one last time, she stepped through it.
Sam woke when Michael burst into the cave.
“Hey, have you seen Sapphire?"
“Yeah, she's right…." He looked over, noticing that his mate wasn't there. “She was right here."
Michael noticed a piece of paper and picked it up.
“Just as I thought, she left to find Liam. I heard that she thought she found a way to find him."
“What? Without me?"
“She didn't want to drag you into it." Michael told him, handing the note over.
Sam sighed and looked over at Michael.
“I want to find her."
Michael shook his head. “No, she is traveling into cracked dimensions, you do not know how to traverse the void if one were to shatter."
“And she does?"
Michael nodded. “I teach all my kids that skill."
“How long will she be gone?"
“There is no telling, since your immortal it might take billions of years."
Sam looked down “What am I supposed to do, all our kids are long gone, we were talking about having another clutch."
“You could petrify yourself, and wait for her to come find you."
“Yes, that is what I'll do." Sam nodded.
Michael sighed and shook his head. “I told her not to look for him."
“Do you know where she's going?"
“Partly, but I know that she won't find him, not using the spell she found."
Sam got up and walked out of the cave.
“So, how does this petrification work?"
You're going to be put in a prison, and you will remain within its protective walls until she tracks you down and wakes you up.
“Where is it?"
“The nearest one is Providence"
Sam flinched, then nodded. “Of course it is."
“Ready when you are." Michael told him.
He looked back at the cave, realizing that he doesn't really have any important possessions, they always put them in their personal storage on the ISS orbiting the planet.
“Might as well go now."
Michael nodded and opened a portal, and they stepped through it. Sam gasped when he noticed a giant, egg-shaped, structure walking slowly across the desolate terrain. They flew up and landed on top of it, Michael tapped the door and it opened, exposing a spiral staircase. They walked down it, and Michael led them to a random floor and to a clean, empty, cell.
“You will be safe here; these prisons are indestructible." Michael told him.
Sam nodded and took a stance in the middle of the square. He charged his magic and cast the spell. He looked over and Michael offered him a reassuring smile, as he turned completely to stone. Once the spell had finished, Michael's smile fell and turned into a frown.
“Sapphire, you absolute idiot." He grumbled. “If she weren't my daughter."
He closed the cell door, and turned to leave. The cell next to him roared and the door shook as its captor slammed against it. Michael looked over at the door with a bored expression, then vanished.
[Logs accessed]
[Log 1]
[I'm leaving these here for anyone who wishes to learn what has happened here. I have received no word from Sapphire, and am starting to get worried, it should not have taken so long. I will send out a search to track her down.]
[Log 2]
[Sapphire is missing, I have been searching for a long time, but have no idea where she is, there has been no trace of her within the last million years. I have tasked Sophia with finding a better, permanent dimension for the Dracios Elementia species.]
[Log 3]
[I found Sapphire, she is currently petrified for an unknown reason on the earth of the dimension 68358269844-2-T-1, I can't reach her, Sophia has found a good dimension and I have to focus on that, it has been too long, way too long.]
[Log 4]
[I have successfully moved the species as a whole to their new dimension, but have decided that Sapphire must be found by someone else, any attempt I make to reach her is blocked by another event, fate is blocking me from finding my daughter.]
[Log 5]
[Whoever is reading this must find the prison and must wake Sam, then tell him where she is, he can get to her, I no longer am traveling to Providence for many reasons, sadness being the main one.]
(Many, MANY, Years Later)
Michael climbed up the side of a wall, he was climbing up to the middle of the cone shaped roof, and he was carrying a black dragoness wrapped around his tail.
“What, did, I, say, about, those, sweets." He grumbled, pulling the unconscious dragon up towards the entrance to the cave.
He pulled his right paw out of the rock, then stabbed back into it. He eventually made it to the hole, and pulled both of them through it. He set the dragoness on the floor and shook her.
“Silver, get up, we need to go."
She groaned, and slowly opened her eyes.
“Oh, come on, you've been hit worse, you wanted to come with me." Michael rolled his eyes
Silver got up and shook her head. “What was that?"
“You forgot to duck the rocks that were being aimed at our heads."
They walked through the cave and into another room, this one was filled with elaborately designed walls, and light was coming from an unknown source. Michael froze when he saw a strange statue in the center of the room.
“Liam? It can't be." He gasped.
“What, him?"
“That's not a petrified dragon, but they were worshipping him." Michael told her. “He's been here."
“WHEN YOU SPEAK OF THE DARK ONE, YOU WILL ONLY CALL HIM THE DARK ONE." A voice boomed.
Michael turned to the priest dragon that seemed to appear at the altar.
“When was he hear?"
“THE DARK ONE TRAVELED HERE LONG AGO, AND WE HAVE WORSHIPPED HIM SINCE."
“Of course, close, but not that close." Michael sighed.
Silver frowned. “Why do you worship a corrupted dragon."
“THE DARK ONE IS OUR GOD, YOU SHOULD WORSHIP HIM, OR FACE HIS WRATH."
“I'm his father, I raised him, I won't be worshipping him, thanks." Michael smirked, looking around.
“THEN YOU WILL FACE THE WRATH OF THE DARK ONE."
“Blah, blah, blah." Michael sighed. “Let's get out of here."
Silver nodded, and they both teleported to the surface. They immediately began walking along the path.
“So, he comes here, starts a religion, and leaves?" Silver asked
“I don't know, he might be building an army, or finding spells to give to the Dark Authority." He told her.
“But why?"
“Who knows, who cares. I sensed his magic, but he is long gone, we need to return to Faun, Malefor's waiting for you."
She blushed, looking away. “What do you think of him, his parents hate me."
“Who cares about his parents? I like him, he's respectful."
“Really?"
“Duh, I'm not doing that stereotype where I hate everyone my daughters court. Only the bad ones."
Silver nodded, still blushing.
“Do you like him?" He asked.
“Dad." She called, hiding her face with her wing.
“Well?"
She was quiet for a moment, before she squeaked out a “Yes"
He smiled. “Good, then let's get back in time for your date."
She gasped and looked over at her dirt and ash covered body.
“I won't have time to take a bath." She looked back at him pleadingly.
Michael sighed and rolled his eyes, then he snapped his fingers. “You know that he will think your beautiful even if you were covered in blood."
“Thank you, thank you, thank you." She squealed as the dirt and ash vanished, revealing polished scales, then she cringed. “Gross, but yeah, I know that."
“You heard about your sister?" Michael asked, raising his eyebrows. “Fury asked me to be her mate."
“He did?" Silver gasped, then smiled. “What did you stay."
Michael gave her a cold look. “I said no."
She looked over at him.
“What do you think? I said yes."
She squealed. “I'm going to plan their ceremony, we promised to plan each other's."
Michael smiled over at her. “Good luck with that, you'll need it."
Silver paled, realizing that he was right, planning ceremonies takes a lot of work.
“How do you make it look so easy?" She asked
“Doing it fifty billion times helps." Michael chuckled.
They laughed and talked for a while, before they reached a clearing filled with the usual blue flowers.
“Wait." Michael called her.
He plucked a flower and attached it to her horn.
“Remember how you used to dazzle him with this look back when you were younger?" He smiled.
She blushed and smiled back at him. “It's only supposed to be a date, not anything else."
He chuckled and opened a portal, and they both stepped through it. When they reached the other side, Silver immediately noticed Malefor talking with Fury in the square. When the purple dragon noticed Silver, he froze and stared at her, his jaw loosely opened as Silver smiled shyly at her. She motioned for her to follow and took off, causing Malefor to shake his head and follow. Michael watched the two dragons fly away and laughed. Fury walked up and followed his gaze.
“They look good together." Fury smiled.
“Yeah, Rose will be ecstatic that she finally is courting."
Fury chuckled. “Yeah, we talk about it often."
Michael nodded to Fury, then turned and vanished. Fury stared at where he used to be for a moment, before he heard the voice from the love of his life calling him from her house. He turned and walked in, wondering what Michael and Silver were doing that made him that distracted.
