Calming the Beast (Louis/Legosi)
Its prom night at Cherryton Academy, Leogshi is nowhere to be found. Louis stumbles upon him having a panic attack and does all he can to calm the wolf down.
Louis was looking everywhere for Legoshi. Unsure where that stubborn wolf had gone too, it was almost time for prom to start and he was nowhere to be found. Probably off moping somewhere would be Louis's bet. He seemed to do that quite a lot lately. Louis peered about all the usual spots he had found Legoshi sulking about in the past, but to no avail. This was getting mildly concerning for him.
Once again he reached for his cellphone and sent a text.
Where are you….the dance is starting soon!
Still no response. A growl escaped the deer's throat as he walked about the school's halls, looking about. The place was empty seeing as everyone was in the gym.
'Where are you stupid wolf," Louis sighed deeply.
Suddenly his ears stood up instantly upon hearing a noise. He recognized the sound of heavy footsteps, not mistaken that they were Legoshi's. He had been around him long enough to tell how he walked.
"I can hear you," Louis said out loud. But half expecting no response from the wolf.
Legoshi could not hide from Louis anymore. He knew that for a fact, despite being a deer he could hunt like a carnivore and find his prey easily. Legoshi's ears splayed across his skull as he came out of hiding. Looking at the disappointed stag before him.
"Why are you sulking in the halls? The dance will start soon," Louis said.
Louis was looking at Legoshi's face, he seemed startled. Scared even. Panicking? He stepped closer toward him to close the gap between them.
"I am nervous, Louis," Legoshi finally said. Hands shaking a bit.
"I can see that," Louis said calmly. Eyes clearly focused on the wolf. He stepped closer, but Legoshi stepped back, soon his back against the wall.
"Why are you nervous, though is the question." Louis hummed softly in thought.
"Of others seeing us together, like dancing." Legoshi instantly said.
A chuckle came from the red deer.
"So that is what this is all about, you being nervous of me being seen with you?" He tsked, clicking his tongue slightly as he looked at Legoshi, who's back was now against the wall as he neared him.
"If we are going to be seeing more of each other, others are going to have to accept that as a fact." The deer said.
"We simply cannot just pretend what we have isn't real, it would only make it harder for us."
Hearing Louis talk was calming to Legoshi for some reason. He was always a voice of reason in many cases. But he could still feel his heart thudding rapidly in his chest. His legs buckled and soon he slid down to the floor, his rump against the stone floor hands buried in his face.
"I just don't want others to judge us harshly, I mean you're a herbivore and I'm a carnivore, they are going to frown upon it." He breathed in and out heavily, arms trembling.
Louis gave Legoshi some space. Not wanting to trigger him or make him worse. He would continue to let his charisma and charm do the talking for now.
DING.
Louis received a text. He decided to ignore it because Legoshi was his priority right now. He knelt down to be eye level with the wolf.
"Legoshi, look at me." Louis instructed. He started to scoot a bit closer to him.
"Listen to my voice," he would add.
"I'm listening," Legoshi sighed. His eyes only focused on the deer, and the drastic thundering of his heart in his chest. He was trying to calm himself down, but that seemed incredibly difficult for him.
Louis was close to him now, he could smell him. His scent calmed him a bit. His eyes focused on him.
"No matter what anyone thinks or says, we are in this together Legoshi. It doesn't matter how they look at us, we are the future of this world. We can prove to others that carnivores can be together with herbivores just fine."
Louis was right. There had to be a change in social behaviors towards herbivores and carnivores. What better proof to show them than what Louis and Legoshi had built together? Yeah, together they would have to shape the future of beast kind. Show others that they could pull it off.
'Right, we can do this together," Legoshi said calmly. His panic attack waning finally at last.
"That's my wolf," Louis said calmly. Reaching out to touch his muzzle. Those fingers wrapped around his snout and soon leaned in close.
"Are you better now hm?" He asked.
"Mmm yes.." Legoshi said, pressing his snout into Louis's and kissed him deeply. The kiss of course caught Louis by surprise. And Legoshi liked that about him.
Louis's own heart started thudding hard now, as he felt those lips against his own. He pressed himself onto Legoshi, feeling those lips against his. Wet and sloppy the two kissed. Before suddenly a female voice clearing her throat caught them off guard.
"Am I interrupting something?" It was Haru.
"Oh nothing," Legoshi said, breaking away from Louis's mouth, eyes looking at Haru.
"Just convincing Legohi not to be a wuss is all Haru, nothing serious." Louis promised.
"Wel if you two love birds are done, we need to get back to the dance, the headmaster has been worried where you two are, we don't want people expecting a worse case scenario," Haru sighed.
"Right, we'll be there soon." Legoshi said.
"Well, hurry it up, I can't cover for you forever." The rabbit soon trotted off back to the gym.
"At least she understands us more than we do," Legoshi chuckled softly.
"Come on stupid wolf, let's go have that dance." He took Legoshi's hand and stood them both up. Louis soon led the way toward the Gym, wolf in tow.
