Alternate Lodging
A fox traveling the roads stops at an inn for the night, but is forced to stay in the stables. There he finds an unexpected room mate for the night. There is some soft, unwilling vore in this story in case vore isn't your thing. Otherwise, I hope you enjoy it!
The sun had practically set, and it was quickly growing darker. Thunder rumbled in the distance, causing Oliver's fur to bristle slightly. The fox had hoped he would have come to the inn he had been told was on this road, but had yet to come across it. Work had dried up in the last town he had stayed in, and Oliver had been forced to move on. He had heard rumors of work at the next town over, so had gathered his few belongings into his pack, and set out. Unlike most anthro foxes whose height generally topped out at around 5ft, Oliver towered at just over 6ft. His great height generally caused heads to turn, since most people in this area were a bit on the short side, probably 5.5ft on average. Anthros were not particularly liked, but they were tolerated. Due to Oliver's larger size, he generally had no trouble finding work as a laborer. He was not picky about the job, and would take anything that paid fairly. As he came around a slight bend in the road, his eyes widened eagerly when he saw the inn at the side of the road. Finally! Oliver had started to think he might need to set up camp off the side of the road in the woods. The weather wasn't particularly cold, but he didn't look forward to possibly having to spend the night outside in weather that looked like it was going to be rainy. The inn was fairly large and well maintained, and had a decent sized stable behind it. Oliver loped towards the inn, his long legs closing the distance easily. Rain drops had just begun to fall when he got to the front door, and entered. The smell of cooking and warmth greeted him. There were about a half dozen people in the common room. Conversation stopped, and all eyes turned to him when he entered. Oliver paused to gauge the mood of the room, ready to turn tail in case it seemed he was particularly unwelcome. But after quietly staring at him for a moment, people turned back to their conversations and food, mostly ignoring him as he made his way to the bar. Some shot him unfriendly glances as he passed, but Oliver was used to those. The innkeeper looked at him with mild suspicion, most likely never having seen anyone as tall as Oliver.
“Good evening sir, I was wondering if you might have a room available for the night?" Oliver asked politely. The innkeeper grunted at him before answering.
“Rooms are for people, animals sleep in the stable. It'll be a copper if you want to stay in there. Even a small wood stove out there, but you'll need to find your own wood and matches" the man replied gruffly. Oliver's ears drooped down in slight embarrassment, but it wasn't the first innkeeper who had told him to sleep in the stable. He clenched his jaw tightly, and somehow managed to hold his tongue. He fished in his coin purse and pulled out a copper and placed it on the bar. The innkeeper reached out and slid it towards him, and placed it in his apron pocket.
“I don't suppose there's any chance of getting something to eat?" Oliver asked, even though he knew it seemed unlikely. The innkeeper grunted again, and shook his head.
“Sorry fox, kitchens closed for the night. But I'm sure there's plenty of mice and rats in the barn, maybe you'll find yourself a snack. Tell ya what, they're on the house, all you can eat!" the innkeeper said, then laughed cruelly. Some of the others in the room had been watching and listening to their exchange, and joined the innkeeper in laughing at Oliver.
“Thank you for your hospitality, have a good evening" Oliver said, somehow managing to maintain a polite tone. He turned and headed back to the front door. Somebody stuck a foot out in an attempt to trip him, but Oliver saw it coming a mile away and easily stepped over it. As he exited the inn, he observed the rain had arrived, and was growing heavier. Pulling the collar of his jacket up, he hurried to the stable and went in. The stable was dark, but Oliver had excellent night vision. He saw a glow coming from the back of the stable, just beyond the last stall, and assumed that was where he would find the stove. He also wondered if he was sharing the stable with somebody as he approached the alcove at the end. When he came around the corner he stopped in his tracks and audibly gasped. His eyes widened in slight fear at the large serpent naga that lounged by the stove. The naga also seemed to be startled to see him. Their long tongue flickered out to taste Oliver's scent, and they regarded him with unblinking yellow eyes in a snakelike head. The naga's upper body was huge, clad in an open leather vest, and covered in dark green scales. The nagas thick coils were sprawled throughout the alcove, and the light of the stove glinted off of their scales. The coils on the floor were as thick as Oliver's waist, however near where the naga's torso joined his snakelike lower body, they were even thicker.
“Oh, um, I'm terribly sorry! I didn't realize there was anybody out here!" Oliver said nervously, taking a step back and preparing to turn tail. The naga's face had been expressionless, but then it broke into a kind smile.
“No need to apologize, I'm guessing there was no room in the inn for you either? the naga asked in a deep pleasing voice. The deep soothing voice and smile relieved Oliver, and his muscles relaxed from tensing in preparation to flee.
“Yea, no room in the inn, but plenty of room in the stable. Story of my life!" Oliver said with a resigned sigh.
“I know the story well myself!" the naga said with a chuckle. “But where are my manners? My name is Artemis, you are welcome to join me by the stove, I know my appearance can be…unsettling, and I apologize if I startled you" Artemis said.
“I'm Oliver, it's nice to meet you Artemis" Oliver said, stepping forward and over a thick coil, then extending his hand.
“A pleasure to meet you Oliver" Artemis said, taking Oliver's hand in his taloned one. “I'm sorry for hogging up all the space, one moment, let me rearrange myself" Artemis said. Oliver watched as Artemis drew his coils closer to himself into a loose bunch, then settled his upper body on top of them. Oliver noticed a stool in the corner, and moved it closer to the stove, and set his pack down before sitting down with another sigh.
“I've been walking most of the day, nice to sit down" Oliver commented. I'm on my way to the next town in search of work, where are you traveling?
“Hmm, nowhere in particular. Just heading where the roads take me. I arrived here earlier today" Artemis responded.
“If it's not too personal a question, how do you make a living?" Oliver asked, as he dug into his pack and pulled out a piece of dried meat. Artemis chuckled.
“You wouldn't believe me if I told you" Artemis said with a grin. Oliver reached into his pack again and pulled out another strip of meat and offered it to the naga. Artemis' eyebrows raised in surprise, generosity amongst strangers was a rare thing.
“Thank you, that's very nice of you Oliver" Artemis said gratefully as he accepted the strip of meat. The innkeeper had refused to serve him food as well, and his stomach growled at the sight and scent of the meat. “But to answer your question…I give massages" the naga replied, then tossed the strip of meat into his mouth and gulped it down without even chewing.
“Massages?!?" Oliver asked in disbelief. “It must be tough to find customers I would imagine!"
“It is, but I have a technique for finding them. I give one massage for free in exchange for spreading the word. It works surprisingly well! At least when I have a room at the inn to work from, unfortunately that isn't the case here" Artemis sighed.
“If you don't mind me asking, how much do you get for a massage?" Oliver asked curiously.
“I usually charge 5 silver, but possibly less depending on the area" Artemis told him.
“5 silver! That's more that I can make in a week! Must be quite the massage!" Oliver exclaimed in disbelief.
"Would you like one? You were kind enough to share your food with me without me even asking. It would be my pleasure to repay you for your kindness" Artemis offered with a smile. As Oliver was considering Artemis' offer, they were distracted by the sound of footsteps. They both tensed, and Artemis produced a short blade, and bunched his coils beneath him in preparation to spring on a possible attacker. Oliver quickly fumbled in his pack and pulled out a small hatchet, holding it nervously at the ready. The footsteps grew closer then stopped.
“Hello?" a voice called cautiously. Oliver and Artemis exchanged a confused glance, the voice sounded like it belonged to somebody young.
“Who's there?" Artemis called out menacingly. A young man, looking to be a teenager, peeked around the corner. When he saw their weapons, his eyes widened in surprise.
“Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you! I'm Arthur, I'm the innkeeper's son. I uh, snuck you guys some food" Arthur said shyly, coming around the corner with a tray containing two small loaves of bread and two bowls of stew. Oliver and Artemis looked at Arthur in surprise, then quickly lowered their weapons.
“Our apologies Arthur, it's nice to meet you" Artemis said, stowing his blade back behind him. Oliver hastily put his hatchet back in his pack, and eyed the tray of food Arthur carried with interest.
“Yea, sorry Arthur, when you travel like us a lot, you're always on edge!" Oliver said with a laugh.
“I understand! I just wanted to apologize for the way my father treated you guys, he can be a real asshole. He's always refusing to serve anthros food or drink, it just doesn't make sense to me" Arthur said.
“Thank you Arthur, it's refreshing to meet somebody with an open mind for a change" Artemis said. Oliver nodded his agreement. Arthur smiled, and handed the tray to the fox.
“Is it ok if I sit with you guys for a bit? I can only stay a while, my father will notice if I'm gone for too long" Arthur asked.
“Please do, here, take the stool" Oliver offered, and took the tray from Arthur. He took a loaf of bread and a bowl of stew, then passed the tray to Artemis. The naga rearranged his coils, and set the tray on them. They dug into the food eagerly as Arthur watched.
“That was the best meal I've had in ages, thank you again Arthur" Oliver said gratefully. Artemis nodded his agreement.
“If you don't mind me asking Arthur, what made you come to be so nice to anthros? Most people aren't so kind to us" Artemis asked. Arthur blushed slightly at the question, but after a moment answered.
“Well, one time a gray wolf anthro was staying here, his name was Clayton. Of course he was out here in the stable, but I found him fascinating. I snuck some food out here for him like I did for you guys, and uh, well, accidentally walked in on him pleasuring himself. I couldn't help but stare, his cock was so different! After he ate the food I brought him, he then proceeded to pleasure me in ways I never could have imagined in thanks for my kindness. I'll never forget it! Don't get me wrong, I didn't bring you food in hope of sexual favors!" Arthur said as he blushed, suddenly realizing how it sounded. “I've snuck food out to countless anthros, but he was the only one who ever thanked me like that!" Arthur said with a chuckle. “I never saw him again, but I think about him all the time. I hope he's ok wherever he is" Arthur said thoughtfully. “Anyway, I see you're done, I'll take the tray and bowls back, my father will never be the wiser!"
"That's quite the story Arthur. Oliver and I are grateful for your kindness" Artemis said, smiling warmly at the teenager.
“Yes, thank you Arthur. I hope you see Clayton again someday. I'm sure he thinks of your kindness to him often as well" Oliver said. Arthur smiled back at them, as he collected the tray.
“I apologize again for my father making you stay out here. I'm glad at least you have the stove to keep you warm. Anyways, good night, and good travels if I don't see you before you leave" Arthur said, nodding to them, then returning to the inn.
“It's so rare to find a human who treats us with kindness" Artemis said.
“I know, he's a rare one" Oliver commented.
“Well, before we were distracted, I believe you were considering my offer of a massage?" Artemis said with a grin. Oliver chuckled.
“I had almost forgotten! But I guess it would be rude of me to not take you up on your kind offer! So…how does this work exactly?" Oliver asked.
“Well, for it to be most effective, you should remove your clothes. I assure you, I'm not trying to pull any funny business on you!" Artemis assured Oliver. The fox thought about it for a second, then shrugged, and stripped off his jacket and shirt, then dropped his pants. He gathered his clothes and put them aside. Artemis admired Oliver's muscles, toned by years of manual labor. The naga rearranged his coils in front of him, circling them to leave an opening in the middle. He then held his hand out to the fox, beckoning him to step towards him. After a moment of hesitation, Oliver came over to him, Artemis taking his hand to help him as the fox carefully stepped over the pile of coils. Oliver couldn't help but wonder if willingly stepping into the coils of a naga was the wisest thing, then gasped when he felt Artemis' tail rapidly begin winding up his legs and body. Artemis took Oliver's other hand, and held his arms up as his coils continued winding up his body, stopping below the fox's armpits, the end of his tail curled gently around Oliver's shoulders and neck, leaving his arms free.
“Just relax, and leave the rest to me" Artemis assured him. Oliver nodded, wondering how this would work, then grunted in surprise when he was lifted off his feet, and laid down on his back in the nest of coils in front of Artemis that weren't currently coiled around him. The fox clutched the thick coil around his chest, and looked up at the naga smiling down at him. As Oliver lay there, the coils wrapped around him began a rhythmic undulation, squeezing his body, and slowly sliding around and against him. The fox couldn't help but sigh with pleasure at the gentle squeezing, and the feeling of the soft scales sliding against his fur. The constriction of the coils around him would gradually grow tighter and tighter as they slid across his body, then just as Oliver would start to grow concerned, they would loosen again and repeat the process. The stimulation was causing the tip of his cock to peek from his sheath, and he couldn't help but moan, then quickly clapped his hand over his muzzle, looking up at Artemis in embarrassment. The naga merely chuckled at his reaction.
“Do not concern yourself, it is a common reaction to my massages" Artemis said with a grin. Olive nodded, still slightly embarrassed. The fox's eyes wandered down the naga's body, and widened slightly as he noticed the tip of the naga's cock had emerged partially from its genital slit, a clear fluid ran down their scales below it. Artemis noticed where Oliver's gaze had focused, and grinned.
“I offer other services as well, which again I would offer for free because of your kindness if you are interested?" Artemis said, raising an eyebrow in question. Oliver couldn't tear his eyes away from the rapidly emerging cock. It glistened with fluids from the genital slit, and had fleshy ridges down its length that gradually grew thicker as they approached the bottom. At its base was a bulbous knot. Considering the naga's huge body, it wasn't terribly large, perhaps only about 10 inches in length, and not much thicker than Oliver's own cock. The fox glanced back up at Artemis's face, and nodded slowly.
“Very good then" Artemis replied, and Oliver was caught off guard when he was quickly maneuvered in the naga's coils. The fox was lifted and spun briefly in the air as his legs were freed from the coils that had restricted them. Artemis took hold of his thighs, and gently spread them as he brought Oliver's crotch to his face. The fox was briefly disoriented, but as he regained his bearings, he gasped when he felt Artemis' warm breath across his most intimate area. He craned his neck to look down, only to throw it back again with pleasure as he felt the naga's long slick tongue slither across his asshole and taint. Oliver squirmed and moaned softly in the coils that held him tightly as Artemis continued licking him, occasionally pausing to prod at his asshole with the forked tips of his tongue. The fox's toes curled with pleasure as the naga finally slid his tongue inside him, exploring his depths. Oliver gripped the thick coil around his chest as Artemis' tongue pistoned in and out of him, spreading the naga's thick saliva across his insides. Satisfied it was enough, Artemis repositioned Oliver so that he was straddling him just above his cock, the fox's face was just below his.
“Just to be sure, you do want this, yes?" Artemis checked with Oliver before going further. The fox nodded eagerly, and ran his hands across the smooth soft scales of the naga's chest. Artemis nodded and smiled, then began sliding Oliver down onto his waiting cock. Oliver gritted his teeth when the large pointed tip first made contact, and began to penetrate him, but then sighed with pleasure as he began feeling the sensation of the fleshy ridges sliding into him, one after one. Artemis continued to slide into him until Oliver came to rest on his knot. At that point, he began using his coils to gently move Oliver, thrusting slowly into the fox's soft clenching backside. Artemis hissed with pleasure, his long tongue lolled from the side of his mouth. Oliver panted with each thrust from the naga into him, the coils around him loosening and tightening with each thrust. The pace of thrusting began to increase, and after one particularly strong thrust, the naga's large knot popped into Oliver, causing him to cry out with pleasure. Artemis' coils tightened around him, almost painfully so, as he felt the naga's cock pulsing and twitching inside him, and then felt the naga's gushing load fill him with warmth. Oliver sighed with pleasure, but that pleasure quickly turned to alarm when he felt the coils continue to tighten around him. The end of Artemis' tail began to curl tightly around his neck.
“Artemis, you're squeezing me a little too tight" Oliver gasped, beginning to fight to breathe. He looked up at the naga's face, and his eyes widened with fear as he saw Artemis' yawning jaws descending towards him. The naga's eyes appeared to be blank. Artemis' long tongue licked across Oliver's face, and curled around his head, dragging him into the drooling jaws. Oliver beat his fists on the naga's chest, though he might as well have been beating a stone wall. His strength was fading rapidly.
"Artemis, please! Don't do this! I thought we were friends!" Oliver begged, as his head was dragged further into the naga's jaws. Seeing it was useless, the fox gave up. He slumped in the naga's coils, and accepted his inevitable fate. Suddenly he heard Artemis gasp, and Oliver was quickly pulled from the naga's mouth, the coils around him loosened immediately and he slid off of the naga's rapidly softening knot. Artemis quickly uncoiled himself from Oliver and gently placed him on the floor, then retreated to the corner, bundling himself in his coils. All Oliver could do was stand there in confusion, shaking slightly at what had just happened.
“I'm so sorry Oliver, please forgive me, though I will understand if you don't" Artemis said, practically sobbing. The fox was confused, and even though still shaken, cautiously approached Artemis where he cowered in the corner.
“Artemis? Are you ok? I admit I'm a little confused and scared by what just happened, but what exactly just happened?" Oliver asked. Artemis sighed, and relaxed slightly, loosening his coils from himself.
“I must apologize for that Oliver, I should have known better. I have not eaten in the last few days. The food I had tonight was a drop of water on a raging inferno. Having you in my coils, and being overstimulated from our sex, my instincts took over. I had prey in my coils, and I was hungry. My body reacted automatically, but thankfully I was able to come to my senses in time! Again, I'm so so sorry" Artemis said, and hung his head in shame.
“It's ok Artemis, I forgive you. Tomorrow I can help you find something to eat? Maybe Arthur can help convince his father to serve us. Also I know there are rabbits out there, I can smell them. I can set some snares in the morning" Oliver offered.
“You are much too kind to somebody who nearly devoured you alive" Artemis said, chuckling sadly.
“Common sense has never been my strong suit" Olive said, and smiled. “I've got some more meat jerky in my bag, would you like it? Hopefully it will help keep you from trying to accidentally eat me again" Oliver offered.
“I would be grateful, and I will pay you for your kindness that I do not deserve" Artemis said, and reached inside his vest. Oliver could hear the sound of coins clinking, and his eyes widened when the naga held a gold coin out to him.
“Artemis! I can't accept that! That is more than I could earn in a year!" Oliver said in shock.
“You will take it, I nearly ended your life tonight! I don't mean to sound arrogant when I say this, but this is only one of many gold coins I possess. I told you my price for a massage, I generally give dozens of them when I stop somewhere. Trust me, I am happy to give you this, and still feel like I owe you more!" Artemis exclaimed. Reluctantly, Oliver reached out and took the coin. The fox turned it over in his fingers, he had never held, let alone even seen a gold coin before.
“If you're sure I guess. It will certainly make things easier for me for a while!" Oliver said, and slipped the coin into a hidden pocket inside his jacket.
“Thank you for accepting it, and I'm glad it will help you. I apologize again. I'm so ashamed" Artemis said sadly.
“It's all right, like I said, I forgive you. Now why don't we get some rest? We'll find you more to eat in the morning" Oliver offered. Artemis nodded, smiling gratefully. Oliver went into his pack and produced the few strips of jerky he had left and gave them to Artemis. As before, the naga ate the jerky in one bite, not even chewing. Oliver then gathered up some hay and made a pile in the opposite corner for himself, well Artemis arranged himself more comfortably in his own coils, and the two of them settled down to sleep.
Oliver was awoken by the sound of soft moaning. He cracked his eyes open, and nearly gasped from what he saw. In the opposite corner, the innkeeper's son Arthur was straddling Artemis' body, the naga's coils wrapped around him just as they had been around Oliver earlier. The fox could see Artemis' cock thrusting into the boy's ass. Arthur was doing his best to be quiet, but couldn't help himself. Oliver closed his eyes just enough so he could see what was happening, but so that they would still look closed. The fox debated if he should intervene, Arthur had no idea the danger he was in. Their pace grew more frantic, and with a powerful thrust, Artemis buried his knot in Arthur. The boy cried out quietly, then slouched forward in the naga's coils, laying his head on their scaly chest. Then the thing Oliver feared could happen did. Artemis' tail coiled around Arthur's lower face, and the fox could see the coils beginning to tighten. Just as Oliver had reacted, Arthur began to beat frantically on Artemis' chest. The boy's cries were muffled by the tail coiled over his mouth, and the naga's jaws began to open widely, as he lowered his head towards Arthur. Oliver knew he should act, but he was paralyzed with fear, and could only watch. With a soft pop, Artemis' knot slipped from the boy as he was dragged off of it, and Arthur's head and shoulders began to disappear into Artemis' jaws. The naga's coils unwound from the boy's upper body as he began to slide down his throat. With his mouth ungagged, Oliver could hear the muffled screams from Arthur as he slid further down Artemis' throat. Only the boy's waist and legs were visible, his legs tightly coiled to prevent him from kicking. Oliver could see Artemis' tongue slither out and across Arthur's hips, curling up and around his waist to drag him further in. The boy's legs soon disappeared from sight, and a large bulge moved down Artemis' body, Oliver could make out the frantic wriggling as it descended further. The fox couldn't bear to watch any more, and shut his eyes tightly. He shivered with fear as he heard the sound of Artemis' scales sliding across the stone floor towards him.
“Oliver, I know you're awake" Artemis said quietly. Oliver opened his eyes and trembled, the naga towered before him, his coils slowly beginning to surround the fox. The squirming bulge had moved further down Artemis' body, and Oliver was horrified to think what Arthur was experiencing. Artemis belched loudly, and with a final spasm, the bulge stopped moving.
“I saw what was happening, I should have tried to warn him. He was so kind to us!" Oliver said sadly, sitting up.
“Don't blame yourself. Arthur came back after you had fallen asleep with some more food. I offered to repay him for his kindness as I had with you. I thought maybe I would have more control with the food he brought me, but I was wrong. If it's any consolation, his suffering is over, and I gave him more pleasure than he could have imagined before I swallowed him. I understand you probably won't forgive me for what I did, but I promise I won't harm you" Artemis said, and turned and slithered back to the opposite corner. Oliver felt unbelievable relief, and also sadness for Arthur. He watched as the naga settled back into the corner and rearranged his coils. Artemis moved the bulging coil that contained Arthur's remains closer to him, and gently massaged it. Oliver sat in the corner with his back against the wall. He didn't think he could possibly sleep another wink that night, but time proved him wrong.
With a snort, Oliver lifted his head. He didn't know how long he had been asleep, but when he looked to the opposite corner, Artemis was gone. A gleam on the floor in front of him caught his eye. He gasped, and reached down to pick up the small stack of gold coins, five of them in all. The money meant he wouldn't have to work for years if he didn't want to, but he still felt emotionless. All he could think of was the bulge in Artemis' throat sliding down his body. Oliver sighed, and dragged himself to his feet and collected his pack. The fox headed back into the inn, this time the common room was empty, and only the innkeeper was there, idly polishing the bar with a rag. His eyes narrowed when he saw Oliver.
“Sorry fox, kitchen's closed, you missed breakfast" the man said with a sneer. Oliver approached the bar and placed a gold coin on it. The innkeeper's eyes bulged in shock when he saw it.
“Maybe you can make an exception for me" Oliver said flatly. “Keep the change." The innkeeper gawked at him, then quickly made the coin disappear.
“It's going to be a minute, don't know where the worthless boy of mine has gotten off to this morning. One moment, I'll be right back" the innkeeper said in an almost groveling tone. A while later, the innkeeper returned with a huge tray, piled with an enormous breakfast meal. Oliver ate in silence as the innkeeper hovered nearby.
“I need some rations for the road, preferably dried meat if you have it" Oliver requested. The innkeeper nodded eagerly and hurried back into the kitchen and returned with a large bundle.
“Is there anything else I can get you? Perhaps you would like to stay another night? I can have my finest room prepared for you?" the innkeeper offered eagerly.
“I thought animals slept in the stable?" Oliver commented, and was satisfied to see the innkeeper look mortified. Without a further word, Oliver stood up and collected the rations and stowed them in his pack. The fox turned and left the inn, and continued down the road without looking back.
