Night Under The Cherry Blossom Chapter 3

Chapter 3 Returning The Favor
Ken had been walking to his school, it wasn't marvelous nor was it bad. It took him a full 15 minutes to walk to his "learning establishment". Fifteen minutes was a magical time it wasn't short enough to where Ken thought it was great, but it wasn't long enough to make Ken think it was ridiculous. He was a just a mere two minutes away from the school. Friends he had honked in nearby cars, Ken had made it clear that he'd rather walk to school then take a ride from a friend.
Ken had a slight grin on his face. He still couldn't believe how much had change over the weekend. He had found out his girlfriend had been cheating on him and had broken up with her. Perhaps Nick was the only male he would have an attraction for.
Ken was now outside his school, but before he had a chance to get off the lawn of the high school, another fur tackle to him to the ground hard. Ken let off a small growl as he managed to get his legs up and kicked the other fur off. the other fur recovered quickly and starting charging for Ken's mid waist. Ken step off to the side and wrapped his arm around the other fur's neck and made them both fell to the ground. Barry had been Ken's best friend since he was eight and Barry had come from some other city. No one had stop or had done anything when Barry had tackled Ken, because they did this every morning before school. Even the security guards had a lack of interest.
"Alright, alright. Uncle, uncle" Barry said trying to get some of his breath back. Ken released his grip and helped Barry back up. "Damn, I still can't beat you. What is your secret to success you super hunk?" This was a typical Barry. He was extremely goofy, up to the point where Ken thought he was ADD and making sexual jokes all the time.
Barry and Ken walked to their lockers, their lockers were next to each other. Barry traded lockers with the raccoon that was next to Ken, the raccoon thought he was getting a great deal, Barry's locker was closer to all of his classes; Barry just wanted a locker next to his buddy.
As Barry and Ken approached their locker Barry was ending a dirty joke he was telling Ken, "So the guy asked "Wow had did you get so smooth?" then the woman replies "Oh I just popped all of the warts and let the pus run out" Barry then roared with laughter. "That's fucking disgusting!" Ken replied though he was chuckling a little, "But it's funny isn't it?" Barry replied still laughing his ass off.
"So, since I'm your best buddy, your numero uno, your brother from another mother, will you give me the low down?" Barry asked Ken with a twinge of excitement in his tone.
"What are you talking about?" Ken asked, confusion written across his face.
"Oh come on, you know, the whole school knows. Don't tell me you're going to leave your brother hanging"
"I honestly don't know what you are referring to"
"Well word of the school says that things between you and the marvelous Lizzie are a bit... strained" Barry clarified for Ken.
"Well word of the school would be correct. Things between us are strained, hell their broken to be more precise. Me and the "marvelous" Lizzie are over. I am never going to date her ass again"
"Woah! What a bombshell! A little harsh might I add. What in the name of the almighty cookie god cause this to happen?" Barry asked. even though he was acting silly, Ken could still see the concern in his friend's eyes.
"She lifted her tail for another sire" Ken bluntly said. He said it in a mild manner because he didn't want to simply say "She fucked another dude", that was a little beneath him.
"Lizzie? Hottie miss hottie? That doesn't seem like her at all, are you sure?" Barry asked with shock in his eyes.
"Seeing is believing" Ken coolly stated. At that moment the warning bell rang letting all the students know that they had a minute to get to their classes or they would be tardy.
"Whoah! Has it already been five minutes? Sorry dude but I got move my ass, I'll talk to you about this "issue" later" Barry commented using his own air quotes before taking off for his next class.
"Well this is just fucking perfect" Ken thought to himself. "My class is on the other side of the school! Even if I ran I wouldn't make it on time" Ken sighed and began walking to his class at a normal pace. His school may not of had the best grades and it didn't have the new looks that most of the new schools contained, but he wouldn't go to another one even if other schools begged him. The school might of been old, but it had character.
As Ken turned into the hall that held his classroom, he ran into the last person he wanted to run into... Lizzie. An unusual quiet came over the hall that Ken and Lizzie were in. They stared at each other deeply, intensely. Neither of them could think of something to say. Ken wore an angry scowl for a face. Lizzie, on the other hand, had a more pleading look.
"Ken-" Lizzie began, before Ken raised his hand in a commanding manner, his hand practically demanded silence.
"I don't want to hear it" Ken simply stated, coldly. Unbeknowist to Ken and Lizzie, Nick had just walked into the hall on Lizzie's side. Once Nick saw it was Ken and Lizzie, he quickly hid behind a wall that lead to a classroom and just watched. The way it was, Lizzie's back was to Nick and Lizzie blocked Ken's sight to Nick. Nick had never seen Lizzie, but judging by Ken's look, he was pretty sure it was her.
"Ken, just listen. I am so sorry for what happened that night. I was weak and gave in to my temptations" Lizzie apologized.
"You gave into your lusts? I would never have guessed that" Ken stated sarcastically, "And giving into your lusts is just some bullshit excuse you came up with. I treated you like a queen, I turned down every girl her raised her tail for me, and how do you repay me or better yet how do you show appreciation? YOU GO AND FUCK SOME RANDOM STRANGER!"
"I really am sorry, I just feel awful about it" Lizzie retorted back, "I hurt you and someone like you doesn't deserved to be hurt"
Ken had cooled down slightly, he knew he shouldn't holler at her, that wouldn't solve anything, "Okay thanks for the apology, you can leave now"
"Wait Ken" Lizzie interjected after Ken had taken one step, "I want you, after what had happened that night, I felt sick. I knew that you were the only stud I needed. I want to go back out, I want us to forget about what happened that night and put this behind us"
"Hmm tempting" Ken said while feigning amusement, "But I'm going to have to say no"
"But why? You're mother said you had forgiven me. I thought we could just put this in the past!" Lizzie launched the question onto Ken.
"I do forgive you Lizzie" Ken began, "But I don't want to go back out with you, we can still be friends. Also I'm kind of with someone else already"
"You're back with someone after a few days? Acting like a tramp now are we?" Lizzie interjected.
"This coming from the mare who had another male inside her?" Ken counter attacked, "And yeah, I'm with someone else. AND this person is perfect for me" Ken replied bragging. Nick smiled at Ken's remark.
Lizzie then covered the gap between her and Ken in a few strides. "Oh come on" Lizzie said. Now she had her hand rubbing slightly against Ken's chest.
"Lizzie what-" Ken got out before before Lizzie put her finger upon Ken's lips. "Ssshhhhhh" She cooed. Lizzie walked behind Ken trailing her tail behind her letting it wrap around Ken in a seducing manner. "Me and you have too much history to simply forget" Lizzie stated. When Ken turned back around to head to his class, he was confronted with the sight of Nick. "Oh no!" Ken thought to himself, "How much did he see?"
"Nick listen, I know what that must of seen like. Trust me noth-" Ken got out before Nick embraced him into a hug, Ken gave him the hug back.
"Thank you so much for choosing me" Nick thanked Ken. "Please" Ken began, "There wasn't really a decision". Nick grinned at his response, Nick checked the hall, the he quickly gave Ken a peck to the cheek. "See you after school" He said.
*School has ended*
Ken was going to work out with Barry after school, but Barry made another dose of his "exploding" gum. "You asshole" Nick replied finding less amusement in Ken's tiny prank. Ken snickered a little before asking, "Who was the little puppy you were talking to?"
"He's not a puppy and his name is Bud. He's been my best friend since middle school" Nick explained to Ken.
"Well, my afternoon is devoid of any activity, do you have anything in mind that we could do?" Ken asked Nick.
Nick pondered upon the topic, his finger going under his chin as he lost himself in thought. When an ideal came to him, he snapped his fingers at the sudden realization.
"We could got to my house, I have a Xbox 360 and some of the best shooter games that were released into the market" Nick proposed.
Ken obviously had a slight scowl, the thought of Nick and him on a shooter game scared him, the memory of the arcade was still a cruel lesson. Then, on the other hand, he was curious about where Nick lived, he might be able to meet Nick's father. "I guess, sounds kind of fun" Ken replied.
Nick ignored the "kind of" part of Ken's reply. And began leading Ken to his house. Nick's house was also walking distance from the school, but his house was in the opposite direction of Ken's. Nick soon led Ken to a neighborhood that he had walked through a few times, didn't really stand out or made an impression on him. Nick soon starting walking through his lawn straight to his two story house. It was only a ten minute walk from the school.
Nick's house was a plain white house with beige trimming. There was only one window at the second floor, underneath was a garage door. Nick went over to a bush and pulled out a stone. He split the stone in half, it was fake, and pulled out the house key. Nick unlocked the door and walked in, Ken followed behind.
The house was pretty nice, it was a small house compared to most, but it was still nice. When you walked in, to your left was the living room. To the right was the dining room connected to the kitchen that only had a counter to separate them. Straight ahead was a hallway with the stairs, to the second floor. Down the hallway, at the end, was the bathroom and the left, at the end, was the master bedroom.
"Where's you dad?" Ken asked a little curious to see Nick's father.
"He's out right now. He's going to get groceries then used the left over money to play Texas hold' em and try to win more. The problem is, he sucks at poker and has a terrible poker face. He usually doesn't' get home until eight" Nick explained. Ken looked at his watch, it was 3:22 pm. "Let's head upstairs, that's where my room is" Nick suggested.
The upstairs was less than interesting, you would get to the top of the stairs there would be a little hallway to right that led to a door. Nick opened the door and motioned for Ken to follow.
"You can put your backpack off the side" Nick offered as soon as Ken walked in. Ken looked to the side of the doorway and saw Nick's backpack off to the side, he placed his beside it. The room was kind of a mess. The floor was littered in crumpled pieces of paper. There was a twin size bed off in the corner. To the left of the room was a small entertainment center with a television in it, surrounded by different consoles.
"Is that the NES system?" Ken asked, shocked at the sight.
"Yep" Nick replied, ignoring the fact that he had such an archaic system lying around. He threw Ken a Xbox 360 controller, then put a pile of games in front of him. "Pick any you want" Nick offered Ken.
Ken sorted through them, whiling scanning them. A few games instantly caught his attention. Eventually he picked a game that took place in WWII.
*Two hours later*
Ken would of been lying if he said he was doing as well Nick, but at least he was helping a little. They're we're doing co-op on the hardest difficulty. They hadn't earned a game over yet, but it was mostly because of Nick, Ken had lost count on how many times he had died and respawn.
Nick paused the game, "Hold on, I got to go use the restroom" Nick explained. "I'll be back soon".
