Hey all, this is my first story I've ever written and completed and have posted on YS. I hope its up to standards with everything you like. Just to be clear on some things, the italicized means Lone's thoughts and dreams, I had a few wonder about those. Sorry but there is no yiffing in this one but there is partial nudity and maybe a bad word or two so I'd say no one under 14 though I doubt this even matters to the few of you who are 14 and read stuff that's full of yiff- * Pauses to take a breath* never mind I'm getting off subject. Everyone else, have fun and enjoy my first piece to the installment of A Wolf's Tail.
A Wolf's Tail Chapter 1: The Sons of Epion, Part 1
Lone the Wolf, well Lone the Grey Wolf actually. A good-sized wolf, for his age of 19 that is, but a little on the scroney side for lack of money and food. He was used to being poor though, living on the streets, either asking for food or just stealing it when the owner wasn't looking. Lone learned a lot over the 12 years, he's been travailing on his own, like how to pickpocket without even the slightest trace of a fur noticing, or, as said before, taking food from the cart without the owner noticing. Had he been caught before? Sure, but that was when he was first starting out. Now he was well skilled in the art of thievery and taught himself along the way. Recently he had stowed away on a sailing ship (He would have tried an airship but those were strictly for military and high luxury use. They were a lot harder to sneak aboard without the ship's scanner noticing that you didn't belong there.) and was headed for... well, Lone really didn't know where on Verra the ship was headed for but he did know that it was one hell of a journey taking more then 6 weeks to finally arrive at their destination. When Lone was able to sneak back off the ship, he had found himself in one of the biggest port harbors he had ever seen. It was even bigger then the one back home. And here is where are story begins...
As Lone was travailing through Greater Onen, one of the bigger port cities of Honun, he noticed signs all around the city that called for the capture of the Sons of Epion. It said that this was a band of thief's that had stolen many priceless goods from the Government and from the people for there own greedy needs. It also said that if they were caught, they would get a 100,000 enuri reward. One enuri was worth about 100 dematos, and 100 dematos could buy Lone a good 5 months worth of food. He knew he couldn't pass this opportunity to make himself some money.
"Meh it couldn't hurt to catch them." Lone thought to himself "besides, I've lasted this long alone why not get some cash for myself I deserve a good treat."
The night soon came, followed by a full moon that lit up the now quiet and sleeping city. The only things moving were the guards patrolling the streets. Lone sat in the shadows atop a building; the height of the building and the moon giving him full visibility of the city gave him a perfect vantagepoint.
"Either they would use the sewers, which I highly doubt in this city, or the next best thing, the rooftops."
Suddenly a shadow moved in the distance. Lone could bearly see but just enough to make out a white fox leaping from roof to roof making no sound at all. In a flash Lone was chasing after the fox, keeping a safe distance from him so as not to be seen. The fox stopped at a rooftop with a glass dome over top its wooden roof. He took some sort of small sword and attached it onto one of his claws and began to outline a hole just big enough for him to fit through. He then attached another odd device to his paw and pressed it against the glass, then pulling up, popped off a circle of the glass and set it aside. Unknown to the fox, Lone was watching the entire time from behind a chimneystack, peering only when needed to. The fox then tied a piece of rope to a chimneystack that was near him and slowly lowered himself into the building. This was Lone's chance, he leapt to the building the fox was on, and then drew his sword. Lone peered down over the hole and saw the sly fox steadily lowering himself.
"Hey fox, climb up slowly or the rope gets cut."
Lone brandished his sword over the hole as the fox suddenly looked up.
"Going up, I would face a problem with that odd wolf but," the fox looked down, "seeing that I'm too high for a safe fall..." "Damn."
The fox was hoping that he wouldn't have to kill anyone on this heist but sometimes the days just didn't go as planed. The fox looked back up at Lone.
"Hey shut up or you'll get us both heard by the guard, fine I'm coming up."
The fox made his way slowly up the line just as Lone said. Suddenly there was a loud cracking on the floor of the building, as a cloud of smoke filled right below where the fox was climbing.
"Damn it."
The fox peered down at his bag that hung from his neck as another black ball fell from it and there was another loud crack. Lone looked down and jumped at the second crack not knowing what was happening but he herd guards and lots of them from all around rushing to where he and the fox were.
"Well are you going to pull me up or just stand there!" Yelled the fox now climbing faster up the rope.
Lone pulled at the rope knowing that if the guards caught this thief then he wouldn't get a reward, but if he held the fox up he would be considered a hero of the city. Lone sighed and gave one last pull of the rope, the fox, jumping out tackling Lone knocking him to the ground, his sword skidding a few feet away. As he looked up the fox held a dagger to Lone's throat.
"You saw no one, got it!"
He pushed the blade harder on Lone, letting the tip dig in and give out a trickle of blood.
"Like hell! I want my money!"
Lone was able to put his footpaws under the fox and through him over himself into the chimney. Lone rushed to recover his sword, turning back to face his opponent but the fox was no where in sight.
***
"DAMN IT!"
Lone walked along a deserted alleyway after a quick slip of the guards.
"My one chance to catch a stupid little fox and I had to fuck it all up!"
Before he knew it, Lone was pinned to the wall, a knife to his throat once more and the white fox staring into his eyes.
"You caused me a lot of trouble tonight pup, thanks."
With that he leapt away back up a wall and onto the rooftops leaving Lone standing there a bit stunned.
"Hey wait, I'm no pup!"
Lone was after him climbing up the same wall and chasing after the shadowed figure along the rooftops. Lone was bearly able to keep up with the fox, it was incredible how fast he was moving it seemed like he was just a white blur. Every blink he was somewhere else. Lone then realized that he had begun to fall forward, slipping on one of the loose clay shingles of the roof and began to stumble forward. He quickly compensated for his mistake throwing his arms in front of him and pushing off a chimneystack. He flipped though the air and landed running yet again after the fox, this time gaining some distance on him and seeing shortcuts between the buildings. Before he knew it, Lone was facing the entrance to an old abandoned warehouse. He guessed this is where the fox's hideout was. As he cautiously stepped in he noticed that first it was pitch black all except for a single light shining down in a ring on the floor, just wide enough for a few furs to fit. Lone slowly made his way in, circling the ring and trying as he might, adjust his eyes to the darkness but without prevail. He made his way to the edge of the ring when all of a sudden a dagger flew from the darkness and caught Lones' swords' sheath slamming it into the ground so that it was stuck. Lone finally got the idea and stepped into the ring of light. After a bit of waiting, a figure appeared from the shadows, a siluett of a German shepherd appeared. As he stepped into the ring of light, he was wearing nothing but a pair of black jeans, some thick boots, and leather finger-less gloves on his hands embedded with silver studs. He had a very odd look to him as if to say he was neither happy to fight the wolf or he was just pissed off that Lone had entered his territory. The Shepherd, bowing to Lone, raised his paws in a fighting motion as Lone did the same, and slowly circled one another. The Shepherd spoke with a very heavy accent sounding as if he wasn't from this country.
"You not belong here wolf, but don't worry, I'll make this quick."
"Ha that's funny, I'd like to...Ahh shit!"
Lone stumbled backward, cradling his now bleeding muzzle.
"Damn man, your fast!"
"Lone, what have you gotten yourself into this time. Gods I could bearly see him strike how could somefur do that!"
Before Lone could do anything to recover the shepherd was on him throwing the wolf over his shoulder onto the hard stone floor of the warehouse. Lone let out a yelp as the air escaped him. Just as the Shepherd was about to deal a lethal blow, Lone turned his head right as the massive dog's fist slammed into the stone and breaking most of the surrounding tiles.
"Hey listen I don't want to fight you, I just want that White fox who came in here. I hear he's worth a lot of money, maybe we could get him together?"
Lone then heard the whole warehouse explode with laughter; the Shepherd smiled and looked at the wolf.
"Now why would us want to turn in one of our own?"
As the Shepherd said this, a smile crossed his muzzle. Candles were being lit in lamps and slid along the ceiling of the warehouse, illuminating dozens of faces surrounding Lone and his opponent.
"Uh oh..."
The Shepherd then charged at Lone, heading straight for what looked like a tackle.
"Wrong move." Thought Lone.
When Lone was a kid he was taught some martial arts in self-defense, it seemed the years of wasted lessons finally paid off. Instinct quickly took over as Lone dropped to one knee, bearly avoiding a fist that flew right over his head, and slammed his elbow into the oncoming Shepherds stomach. The whole warehouse was silent except for the yelp of the Shepherd who was now in shock at the unexpected and lighting fast blow. Lone brought him down with another elbow to the back of his head, knocking him unconscious.
"Ahhh! You're going to pay for that!" Shouted one of the thieves, jumping from a pile of boxes and landing in front of Lone. Lone quickly eyed up his new opponent, this one a Red Fox who had died his fur with blue tribal art and had on almost the same outfit.
"Heh compared to that guy, you don't seem much." Lone chuckled licking at his cut muzzle, but before he knew it the fox had already sent him to the floor opening a new wound across the top of his eye.
"Hey listen, now that I know there are a hell of a lot more of ya, why not say we just act like this little thing never happened?"
"Sorry pup but that ain't gunna happen,"
The voice was one Lone had herd before, back in the alley. The rest of the circle of furs now made a path as the white fox walked down and looked at Lone,
"Now that you know where we are and who we are, I'm afraid there is no hope in leaving."
White gleaming smiles appeared on all the faces Lone saw as he peered around the dimly lit warehouse.
"Have fun boys."
The fox then left as a circle of furs started to close in on Lone.
"Then let me join you!" Shouted Lone desperately, who was now back in a defensive stance eyeing anyone who got to close for comfort. The Fox stopped and turned chuckling,
"Let you join us? You have got to be joking. Ki took you down in two hits, hell is brother in one, what makes you think your good enough to join us?"
Lone just smiled, "I was able to sneak up on you wasn't I?"
This brought a scowl to the foxes' face as the group chuckled and one shouted out laughing,
"Is he why you didn't bring home anything tonight?"
The Fox turned to Lone, looking him straight into Lone's dark gray eyes as Lone did the same, looking back into deep the fox's deep ice blue ones. He didn't plan on being scared by this Fox.
"Well then pup, we shall see who is better sneaking up on who."
At that he grabbed the dagger out of the ground that was pinning Lone's katana and unsheathed Lone's blade,
"Here catch,"
He tossed the sheath at lone who caught it and looked at the fox confused.
"If you can sneak up on me and get me with that sheath then we will think about letting you in but if I sneak up on you..."
He flicked the end of Lone's sword with his claw making it chime,
"You don't leave here alive."
At that he clapped his paws and shouted "Move the crates!" Almost instantaneously every fur disappeared and boxes and barrels were being shoved and pulled into what seemed like a maze. A voice echoed from the maze, filling the room with the sounds of furs and scraping noises from the box's. The he heard the distinct voice of the fox.
"Come on pup, find me!"
In a shot Lone was off in the dimly lit maze of boxes, turning, jumping, and smashing through some. Wanting to get to a better vantage point, he leapt for the tallest corner of the maze and hid himself in the darkness scanning the maze for any sign of movement. Something caught his eye at the last second as Lone jumped just as a barrage of shiruken flew his way and into the very wall he was leaning against. As Lone jumped he turned to look in the direction the flying weapons had come from and caught a glance of white fur darting in between a stack of boxes.
"Heh your not as dumb as you look pup," echoed the voice "maybe you'll survive, but I doubt that."
Lone ran to find a different hiding spot, now knowing the general location of the fox he could keep watch of that area. Something familiar then caught his eye again, raising his sheath and catching three shiruken in the wood.
"Heh ammo." said the smiling wolf pulling the shrukien from the sheath and putting them along his belt. Something else echoed in the warehouse, like metal hitting metal, as another shiruken landed right in front of Lone. Lone looked up and saw nothing but rafters and smiled.
"I'll find you pup you know there's no chance for you to AHHH!"
A shrukien flew right in front of the Foxes nose, surprising him and making him stumble back, falling off the box he was standing on.
"Are you sure about that fox?"
The fox's ears swiveled in all directions trying to pinpoint Lone's location.
"I mean you don't even know where I am"
Another shrukian flew in front of the foxes' nose.
"Oh and by the way, I'm not a pup anymore."
Lone leapt down from the rafters he was hiding in as the fox backed up again but this time into a furry body as Lone grabbed his sword's handle and flipped the fox over his shoulder.
"What the, oomph!"
Lone pointed the end of the blade under the foxes' scowling muzzle.
"Ok, you have some skill, I guess your in."
Lone gave a smile and extended his paw. The Fox hesitated then smiled back and pulled himself up.
"I am Anux, leader of this group of the most skilled furs you've ever met,"
"You mean thief's?" chuckled Lone,
"Thief's!? I'm appalled, we are much more... respectable, than a group of thieves. These furs you see before you have talent and skill, quick with the paw and the eyes."
The group of furs, now surrounding Lone and Anux chuckled and gave a yell of acknowledgement.
"We look after our own and I guess that now includes you,"
Anux turned to the crowd making sure to address every fur in the warehouse.
"Pup is now one of us! Treat him like you would any of our own!"
"I told you before I'm no pup, I'm almost 20," said Lone in a mumble, "The names Lone, learn it."
"Hey pup you cant start giving orders yet, you just got in."
Lone scowled and mumbled, "stop calling me pup..." bearly audible under his breath so Anux wouldn't hear, just to make himself feel like it was a victory.
At that the other furs started to introduce themselves, eventually meeting the new addition to the group.
"There were more members than I though." Lone mentioned to Anux as he was patted on the shoulder and rubbed on the head.
"Come, let's take a walk." Said Anux. He lead Lone out a back door of the warehouse while the rest of the furs got back to honing their skills.
"Were you really going to kill me back there if I hadn't beat you?"
Anux paused for a second, lost in thought. He looked up at Lone,
"You're different from the others, so, I wouldn't kill you immediately."
Lone looked back at Anux, an expression of shock and then a broad grin crossed Lones' muzzle.
"I knew it," Said Lone still grinning, "I'm better than you aren't I?"
Anux glanced at Lone, giving him a look-over before he suddenly burst out laughing and continued to walk on.
"Wa... HEY!"
"You got big mouth on ya pup, just watch who you talk to around here got it. I can't look out for you all the time."
"Don't worry, I can take care of myself."
At that moment Lone's stomach let out a tremendous growl making the wolf blush in embarrassment.
"So I noticed," said Anux, smiling at Lone, "come on there's food in the next house."
Anux lead Lone to another warehouse, but this one was filled with a maze of corridors and doors on either side of the halls.
"This," Said Anux "is our housing and dining quarters." Lone looked around in amazement, glancing up he noticed the walls were of an odd style in which he had never seen before. The walls seemed to reach to the ceiling of the warehouse, and the ceiling looked as if it was all glass, letting the brilliant light of both moon's cover the place and light it up.
"How did you do all this?"
"Meh It took a while but there are over a hundred quarters here and most of them are actually empty. The other warehouse we just left was the sparing and training arena."
Lone stumbled forward a bit still shocked at the mass size of the place.
"Hey over here!"
Lone looked over to see Anux heading down yet another corridor. He quickly ran after Anux, not wanting to get lost in the endless maze of walls thinking that it would take him forever to get out.
"Here we are."
Anux stopped in front of what looked like another wall. Lone glanced at Anux wondering what they were doing staring at a wall when suddenly Anux grabbed the side and slid the door open reviling a whole other room.
"Wha... How... You... but that was a wall!?"
Lone was greatly confused now not ever seeing anything like this before. Anux was now laughing harder than ever and quickly explained how the door and wall worked. As they stepped inside, Lone noticed it was bigger than he imagined. It was just a square room but could easily fit a mat on the floor next to the door. There was a couch set against the wall to his right and a small knee high table in the center surrounded by pillows. In the corners were stalks of bamboo to give the room a nice naturalistic touch.
"I think I might like it here." Muttered Lone to himself.
"Hey don't get too comfortable, you have work to do."
"What do you mean work?"
Anux left the room asking Lone to remain there for a second. He quickly returned shoving a mop and bucket into Lones paws smiling.
"Cant stay here for free ya know."
Lone just put his ears back and grumbled.
"Well better get to work, you have this whole corridor to mop."
Lone and Anux both poked there head out the door and looked to the left and right. Both ways seemed endless.
"Awww come on cant you give this to someone else."
"Nope, now start working pup, I'll come pick you up when you're done."
At that Anux was headed down the isle and turned the corner and was out of sight.
"ITS LONE NOT PUP DAMNIT!!!"
Lone sighed and looked down the impossibly long corridor again.
"Why me?" He moaned and then began to mop the floor.
By the time Lone finished moping he was excused, hungry, tired, and aching all over. He leaned against his mop and went back to his room. He opened the door and looked up seeing a grinning white fox sitting at the table with two bowls of hot rice and chicken. Lones eyes lit up and he immediately dropped the mop and bucked and rushed over to the table shoveling the food into his muzzle. He didn't think he had ever been this hungry before in his life.
"I hope you like it, Rex whipped it up just for you."
Lone looked up, chicken hanging from his muzzle and thought back.
"Hmm? Mmm ex!"
He finally swallowed.
"The Border Collie right?"
"Yep he's the best cook in this country, Ill tell him you liked his cooking."
"Mmmm esh, eiry mush o."
Lone had yet again stuffed his muzzle starting on the second bowl. Once finished he fell back looking up at the ceiling and sighed a sigh of relief.
"Ooph I'm stuffed."
Anux got up, still smiling.
"You better get some sleep, you have to do the floor tomorrow too."
"WHAT NO WAY!"
"Like I said pup, cant live here for free." "But hey everyone says you did a really good job on the floor so far. Who knows, maybe I'll just keep you on floor duty for the rest of the time."
He chuckled and looked at Lone's expression of shock crossing his muzzle.
"Its not that bad is it?"
"NOT THAT BAD! You try to mop an endless floor!"
"Hate to break it to you pup but your going to have to do the whole place eventually."
Anux seemed very pleased when he said this, which pissed Lone off very much but just decided he was too tired to argue so he shrugged it off.
"Get some sleep pup, Ill see you in the morning."
At that Anux left Lone alone in his room and headed toward his own.
"Jeez what have I gotten myself into?" Lone sighed and got up. "Might as well get used to it."
He opened his door and noticed some furs in the hall going to their rooms and what ever else there was to do around here. Lone began to walk down the hall that seemed to lead to a number of endless halls, which hopefully lead to the exit.
"Hey Pup!"
Lone stopped and flattened his ears, "IT'S LO..."
A paw quickly shut around his muzzle,
"Hey shut up would ya. We don't want to wake the others."
Lone looked down at the white paw that had a hold of his muzzle and followed it up a muscular arm and into the ice blue eyes of a very cute husky. He had no shirt, which exposed his tone body and muscular chest, which lone noticed immediately. He did wear sort of baggy pants that tied off at the beginning of his footpaws and wore a sash around his waist. On his back lone noticed a medium sized staff, which was in leather casing with a strap slung around the husky's chest.
"Hey names Alic," He said smiling and offering a paw to Lone.
"Lone, not pup."
"Well then Lone it's nice to met you and let me be the first, or rather second, to welcome you to the this pack."
"Thanks, and its nice to meet you too Alic."
Lone took the paw and shook.
"Hey let me show you around the place. You could get lost in the halls around here unless you know your way." Alic laughed at that while Lone swallowed hard. "Hey don't worry I wont ditch you. Come on."
Alic lead Lone along the corridors to a room near the corner of the warehouse. As they entered Lone suddenly jumped when Alic let out a huge yell,
"HEY REX YOU IN HERE!?"
"Alic? That you? I'm in the back!"
"Hey come on Lone, I want you to meet a uh..." Alic paused for a bit, "a friend of mine."
Lone shrugged and nodded.
Alic led Lone toward the back of the room. This room was much bigger than Lone's. He noticed stoves and ovens and huge sinks with pots and pans hanging from giant racks suspended from the ceiling. Lone looked back in front of him when a Border collie suddenly came bounding around the corner embracing Alic in a hug.
"Alic! How was your day!?"
"Not bad love. Jace was still being an ass though as usual, but other than that just the same as always." Alic kissed the Collie and hugged him, "Oh hey I want you to meet the new guy."
Lone looked stunned for a minute, amazed that he actually saw what he just thought he saw.
"Rex this is Lone, not pup."
"Well then nice to meet you again Lone, names Rex, I believe we met down in the sparing house."
Lone shook his head coming out of his daze and shook the Collies paw.
"Nice to meet you again Rex, Oh and I loved your food! It was the best I've had in a while."
Lone found this a bit cheese to say but decided it was better to suck up and make some fast friends rather than enemies.
"Well then I'm glad to hear that! At least someone around here likes my cooking."
"Oh hush, you know everyone loves it." Alic gave Rex a teasing shove and turned back toward Lone. "I was just showing Lone here the place, care to join?"
Rex looked at Lone and shook his head. "Sorry, I'd love to but I got to clean this place up, not very good help around here when it comes time to clean up."
"Awww ok then. Meet you back at the room."
Rex grinned and smacked his paw against Alic's ass. "Looking forward to it."
At that they kissed once more and Alic lead Lone out of the room. The walk to the exit of the building was quiet and Lone could tell Alic was nervous about what he just did in front of Lone. Finally Lone decided to try and break the silence.
"So how long have you and Rex been together?"
"Huh? Oh I'd say about two years now. I hope your not uncomfortable with it, I'm sorry I did it in front of you I..."
"Hey Alic its ok, I don't mind, in fact I was, um... kinda thinking about myself that way but, I don't know yet..."
Lone blushed hard and Alic looked at him, the husky's face now lit up. "You really think you are? Do you have someone special in your life?"
Lone looked down slowly, "No, no one like that. I never could hold a relationship with a female and honestly I found most of them more as friends then girlfriend."
"Oh well it's nice that you have some female friends to talk to. Hey maybe you could find someone here, there are actually more furs that are that way than you think."
Lone looked back up at the grinning Husky giving a weak smile, "I don't know, maybe."
"Hey something wrong? Did I hit something personal?"
"No its nothing don't worry about it."
"Hey I understand, you're still not sure about it right? It's ok. But hey if you need anything you can ask me ok?"
Lone looked back up and gave a small smile. "Thanks Alic."
"Hey no prob pup, er I mean Lone. Heh."
Lone then sniffed the air as a pungent odor filled his nose. "Uhh I stink, are their showers around here?"
"Ummm I don't know about showers but we do have the bath house."
Lone looked at Alic with a questioning glance, "Bath house?"
"Your not from around here are you Lone?"
"Not even close." Said the smiling wolf.
Alic gave out a small chuckle waving his paw indicating Lone to follow, "Well then come on I'll show you."
Alic lead Lone to the exit of the warehouse and then across the ground to the bath house. As soon as he entered, Lone could bearly see through the thick steam that emanated from the different rooms. Inside there looked as if it was the same design as the warehouse full of rooms but this time there were shorter walls and in each room there was a big pool of stemming hot water which looked as if it could fit a good five or six furs comfortably. Lone then saw many different furs walking around in towels and bathrobes as the males went to the springs on the left and the females going to the right.
"Hey Lone over here." Alic had found an empty spring room on the left side and waved Lone over to it. When he stepped in it was hard to see because of the stem covering the top of the pool. He looked over he saw Alic in a corner where there was a big dresser full of shelves. Alic opened it and inside found two towels and through one to Lone.
"You can keep your clothes in here until your done."
Alic then began undressing himself, taking off his sash, folding it and placing it in the dresser where the towel he took used to be. Lone couldn't help but pause where he was and watch the ripped Husky slowly pull his remaining clothes off and place them in the dresser. He began to remove his pants, sliding them down and slowly reviling his sheath, his muscular legs hiding the rest. Lone couldn't help but feel his own length pulse inside his sheath, aching to come out from its furry prison.
"Like what you see?" Lone suddenly realized that the husky had noticed him staring. He turned deep red, which even showed though his gray fur and turned away embarrassed. Alic chuckled and gave a smiled before heading to the edge and diving into the spring. As he broke the surface he looked back at Lone who was still standing in the same spot.
"Hey come on now its my turn to see you strip down."
Now Lone was even more embarrassed because of what he felt pressing against his own pants. He stepped over to the dresser and took off his shirt trying to think of something other than the cute husky that he was about to take a bath with.
"Damn no good, I can't help but think of him, I mean I haven't been with anyone in a long time and just thinking about his sexy body and that... Ah damn not again! Come on get a hold of yourself, he taken anyway I have no chance even if he was available anyway."
Lone began to take his own pants off feeling his length retreat back and becoming more comfortable taking the rest of his clothes off before he was fully undressed. He noticed the husky's eyes glued to him the entire time figuring that it was a fair trade after he got to see the husky. He smiled and turned around, swaying his hips from side to side toward the husky teasing him, before finally jumping right beside him, making a big splash and drenching them both with the warm water.
"Ahhh now this is relaxing." Alic stretched out against the rocks leaning on the edge of the spring.
"You can say that again, after all that mopping I'm worn out."
"Heh Anux has got you working already, well at least you have something active to do."
"What do you mean, mopping sucks man."
"Hey I'm working guard duty, do you have any idea of how boring it gets just standing and guarding a door all day? I would give anything for a little action every once in a while but everyone in this city knows that this is our territory and wont come close."
"Jeez maybe you do have it worse off, though aren't there two of you on guard duty?"
"Yeah but mostly it with the fur you don't get along with. As you heard before, I'm paired with Jace. He doesn't like guys like Rex and I. I'm guessing Anux does that on purpose so we stay on task and avoid getting distracted."
"Wow that sucks."
"Tell me about it." As Alic and Lone were talking they didn't seem to notice that Rex had snuck into the spring room and was now in mid-air heading straight for, what he hoped, was his mate for he couldn't see very well in the steamy room. Suddenly something caught Lone's eye and he just had enough time to turn and notice a big black and white Border Collie flying through the air at him.
"AHHHHHH!" Rex slammed right into Lone, dunking both of them under the water. Lone then felt something strange yet soothing, a paw was rubbing against his sheath and then a muzzle pressed against his own slipping its tongue into his maw. Lone wanted to stop but it just felt so good and he hadn't felt this kind of pleasure in some time. As they broke the surface Lone looked at Rex and giggled as Rex's eyes suddenly widened as he pulled his muzzle away.
"Hey love I'm over here." Smiled Alic, watching the two.
Rex quickly removed his paw from Lone's crotch and turned a deep shade of red. Alic waded over and hugged his mate from behind, giving him a kiss on the side of his muzzle.
"Sorry about that Lone and I think I have an idea of what he did too judging by that red I see."
"Yeah I'm really sorry Lone I didn't know which one was which so I just kinda picked one and well... It was you. Oh jeez you probably think I'm a total ass now I'm sorry you're probably not even that way. Oh by the gods." Rex sunk himself deeper under the water so that only his snout, eyes and ears were above the water.
"Hey Rex its ok,"
Rex slowly raised back up a bit, the red still showing through his fur. "Really?"
"Yeah, and in fact, I was thinking about going that way so actually I kinda enjoyed it." Lone smiled at the blushing Collie and gave his ass a slight squeeze before turning Rex toward his mate.
"Now I believe I didn't get what I was supposed to."
"Oh don't worry love you'll get what's coming to you sooner or later."
The three chuckled at that and relaxed for a bit longer before getting out and drying off. Once dressed, they all headed back toward their rooms. They all stopped in front of a room that was Rex and Alic's.
"Hey Lone do you remember where your room is?" Asked Alic.
"Yeah actually I'm right next door to you guys."
"Wow what luck, hope we aren't too loud." Alic and Rex just grinned at each other and gave a quick kiss. "Night Lone see ya in the morning."
"Night you two, have fun now."
"Nights not over yet." Rex smiled at Alic and Alic the same to Rex, then they kissed once more and walked into their room sliding to door closed behind them. Lone walked into his own room and lay out on his mat exhausted from the nights work. He heard a few grunts and yips from his new friends and neighbors but didn't think much of it and ignored most of the noise.
"I think I'll like it here." He thought as he stared up at the glass ceiling, the twin moon's of the night now gone and dawn beginning to show. He quickly fell into a deep and relaxing sleep recalling all of the things that had happened to him that night.
