Another Pause (story).

Me and Liontari were walking near to the Ghost Factories. I was still ashamed for what happened during the dawn and I avoided talking to him. Despite this fact, he was still actively trying to squeeze words from me by poking subjects that I might interest me, such as diapers and cubhood. Nothing would break my silence, I was just submerged in guilt.
Hey, Yure, what is wrong? - he asked.
I didn't replied. I just kept walking.
Is it because I pawed you off in the temple? - he asked.
I blushed.
I guess I'm hit the spot - he commented, noticing my blush. He stopped walking, turned to me and picked me up. - Look, champ, it's okay you need it. It's a harmless habit, at all. You did nothing to harm me or harm yourself. I am okay with it, don't you see?
Still... - I said, breaking the silence.
Ah, Yure... - he said, petting my back. - You worry too much for a cub. I'm starting to doubt that you are really a babyfur...
I sighed and got a little more comfortable, knowing that him wasn't mad at me. We decided to stop by a lake and rest for a while. He sat under a tree while I went to the lake to drink water.
Once I finished, I went to Liontari and laid under the tree. I sighed, feeling my guilt return. Liontari, though, just pet my belly and rubbed it.
Look, Yure, it's okay... - he said, my guilty now clear.
No, isn't - I said, my face completely out of emotion, except for slight sadness.
Yure, if you needs it, I won't argue - he picked me and put me on his lap.
Well... - I said, sighing and looking at his belly.
You aren't a freak, everyone has something to hide.
Even you?
Wanna know?
I looked up at his face, genuinely curious.
I dunno how you will react to this... - he said. -, but there's another reason why I wanted to take you with me.
I blinked.
Yure... Argh, no, nevermind - he said. He was really going to tell me something important, but hesited.
I sighed.
I won't push you - I said.
We needed to walk to the next city to get our battle supplies, there's a tough way ahead.
But, for now, we could just enjoy a warm breeze and have something to eat. I yawned and Liontari giggled, fondling my tail a bit.
Hungry? - he asks.
Yes, rather much - I reply.
He gets up and go into the woods to hunt. I decide to go to the opposite direction, to catch a different animal or maybe find fruits.
I come back to the lake, holding a rabbit with my muzzle. Liontari wasn't there yet. I sat by the same tree and started eating.
Liontari came back with a deer. We sat down and started eating it crude.
Hey, slow down - he advised, with his muzzle full of meat.
Gee, you too - I answered.
It was afternoon.
