The Digimon Wars Chapter 17 Unexcpected Suprise

Alas! I make another weekly chapter in time! Well I try to make it weekly, so don't judge me!
I actually cut this one a little as well because the ending would have been too lame, but there's a problem...

People were frightened, they saw a huge cloud of people flying above them. They blocked the sun and their leader was way ahead of them. Annunziata is the only Seraphimon of the army, the rest are HolyAngemon and Angewomon. He slowed down a little so he was barely in the lead, he then turned around to face his army. Even thou he was flying backwards he was still faster than them, he started a speach. ''We are the warriors of god! We are the 9th Crusade! We will go to the Digital World and kill this Napoleon who declared war on God! We will kill once more in the name of Jesus! We shall have our revenge for Vatican! All of christengdom will join us in this war! After this we shall destroy the new Soviet Union and then we shall spread the name of Jesus all over the world with this new power! Are you with me!'' All of the soldiers cheered as Annunziata turned back around to lead his army. Michael would now have to face something he couldn't win against, he had hard time with only a few of them and now he would have to face an army of 6.145 consisting mostly on HolyAngemon and lessly of Angewomon who were being lead by an Seraphimon. Michael doesn't even know that they apparently have a way to the Digital World, if they find Freiheit Michael and the others are good as dead. Michael yawned as Tailmon kept on talking. Mihael had managed to get Tyler to join him and his cause, resulting in canceling the attack. Right now Michael was back at HQ, he was talking or rather being bitched at by her. ''Alright so let's get this clear, you persuaded Tyler to join us and managed to use him to get those invaders go away?'' ''Yeeess, how many times do we have to go over this?'' Michael was bored out of his mind, he was tired and hungry too. Tailmon sighed. ''Alright, I just had to make sure.'' She then jumped off the chair and walked to the digi gate machine room. Michael hit his head on the table. ''Finally!'' ''I can hear you you know!'' Michael stood up from his chair as well, he started walking towards the stairs. ''I'm the damn emperor...'' Michael walked up the stairs, he was going to Tylers room when he heard talking. ''... So now we're going to be with them from now on.'' Michael recognized Tylers voice. ''Are you sure they can be trusted?'' ''He could have killed me many times already, I trust him with my life.'' Michael was happy to hear this, but he continued walking to his own room. He opened the door to his room, the room itself was rather large. There were a few wardrobes. computers, consoles, 2 TV's, a huge bed, a window, a big carpet, few paintings, a desk and a big couch in front of the TV's. Michael just took off his hoody and jeans and jumped on the bed. ''If there's something I love to do it's sleepinnggg...'' He said as he fell asleep. Tailmon was sitting in front of the digital gate machine, the machine itself looked like an huge super computer. It had dozens of buttons and lights. The room had no windows and only one door, the flooe had dozens of empty bags of chips and other snacks. Tailmon was sitting in front of one of the TV's in the room, she was watching some human news. ''Boring... Boring... Boring... Seen...'' Tailmon was chancing the channels, she had to kill time in here somehow. Tailmon was switching channels like crazy. ''Discovery Channel... Animal Planet... Disney XD... MTV... Sports Channel... National Geografy... Isn't there nothing good here?'' As she was chancing channels she noticed one channel she had not seen before. ''Emergency Channel?'' She straithened up and turned on the channel. There was only a message on the screen stating that a podcast would start soon, Tailmon didn't really understand any of this. Why have a channel and then not use it? She wanted to go ask Michael why this channel had nothing on it but figured that he'd be pissed if she would go and wake him up. Tailmon was startles when the message went away and a torso of a man was shown. ''Listen to me people, it'll be over soon. The Vatican soldiers have apparently found a way to this 'Digital World'...'' Tailmons eyes widened, she even fell off of her chair. She stood up and ran away, as she opened the door Katie was in front of her. ''What's the matter Tailmon?'' Tailmon tried to explain Katie what she had just seen but Katie didn't understand. ''Alright calm down, take a deep breath and explain slowly. What's the matter?'' Tailmon did as ordered, she took a deep breath and calmed down. ''On TV they said that the army of Vatican has found a way to the Digital World!'' Katies legs almost gave in, she couldn't beleive it. ''W-What? Are you sure?'' Katies fear was confirmed when Tailmon nodded. Katie had to do something. ''Alrigth look, Michey needs some rest right now just as we all do. But we have to do something about this, can you stay up for the night and watch TV?'' Tailmon nodded, Katie yawned again. ''I'm sorry but I have to go to bed.'' Tailmon understood, she had used a lot of energy today and humans generally need more rest than Digimon. She turned around and walked back into the room, as she closed the door behind her she listened to the TV. ''Apparently Soviet Russia has found a way to this 'Digital World', they are building the machine as we speak. According to them it works, as for the so called 9th Crusade army they are almost there.'' ''This is bad, I have to tell him but he's asleep...'' Tailmon had no clue if Michael would be either mad or happy if she would wake him up now even with news like this. She jumped off the chair and began pacing around the room while listening to the TV. ''Alright I'll just listen all of this and then wake him up...'' ''What!?'' Michael yelled as Tailmon finished her report. Tailmon was a little scared, she had brought this up at breakfest table where Tyler, Lilymon, Katie and Michael were just discussing about how glad they were that Tyler had joined them. ''That's what the guy on TV said, they have apparently found a way here and-'' ''I heard that! This is bad, very bad. Katie go check on Tom and Lopmon, we have to know if they are ready to fight.'' ''But Tom has broken bones and Lopmon was near death-'' ''I know that! We're running out of options here so go check on them!'' Katie did as ordered, she got off the breakfest table and ran towards the stairs. Michael then turned to look at Tyler. ''Tyler, I have no idea when will they arrive but one things for sure. Even thou you're strong you have no style, I need to train you.'' Tyler was suprised by Michaels offer. ''R-Really?'' Michael nodded. ''Yeah, really.'' As Michael stood up with Tyler after him he looked at Lilymon and said. ''Lilymon, I need you to stay in the air and look for the possible invasion.'' ''Right.'' She said as she stood up and ran outside. Michael started walking outside with Tyler behind him when he asked. ''Exactly what are you going to teach me? Kung Fu? Karate?'' Michael chuckeld a little. ''Human martial arts don't work on Digimon but, some basic technigues do work.'' Michael and Tyler were a few kilometers away from Freiheit when they digivolved into Darkdramon and ChaosGreymon. They were standing in front of each other when Michael activated his dark flame shield and sword. ''Now, tell me what do you know about medieval warfare.'' Tyler was confused. ''Why? Nevermind, no I don't know about medieval warfare.'' Michael started explaining. ''In the medieval times there wasn't guns, there was only steel that was in the soldiers arm. During this time they had to use a sword and a shield, it is true that they used trebuches and cavalry but we're going to focus on one-on-one combat. The knights of that time were the tanks of World War 2, and it so happens that we resemble knights. We have full plate armor just like they did, we have weapons of our choice just like they did. But we are digimon, we have special attacks. I will teach you how to use them wisely and on how to use your opponents strengths against them.'' ''Wait, don't you mean weaknesses?'' Michael hit his shield with his sword. ''No, strengths can also be used to your advantage. Mu strength is my shield and sword, I can get rid of them at will and also I can summon them on will. And to top it all no one else can use them. My fighting style is very defensive but I can be offencive if I wish. You on the other hand don't have an fighting style, you also let your emotions take over which is your last mistake on a real battlefield.'' Tyler was about to object when he realised that Michael was right. Michael chuckeld a little. ''See? First I need to teach you to control your emotions and then on how to use your attacks properly.'' Tyler was confused. ''My attacks? What do you mean?'' ''Even thou your Dark Roar attack is powerful it's slow to use and makes your back vulrneable, you must know how and when to use it just like I don't use Glorious Burst that often. You see our strongest attacks may be powerful but they have a major weakness, they leave you vulrneable.'' ''You arleady said that...'' ''Then you have been paying attention, that's good..'' Tyler was somewhat starteld when Michael got rid of his sword and shield. Michael lowered his arms and spoke to Tyler. ''Attack me with your fists.'' Tyler was suprised by his words but he complied, he started running at him with his right arm raised. Just as he was about to punch Michael he did something, Michael grabbed his right arm and with his right arm he grabbed his shoulder. Michael then turned and threw him away, Tyler had not realized what had happened until he hit the ground. Michael got ready for another attack. ''You got to remember never to underestimate your opponent, I was able to do that because you underestimated me.'' Tyler was getting a little mad, how does this have to do with anything? Tyler had stood up and ran at him again, this time he was going to tackle him. Just as Tyler was going to wrap his arms around Michael he kicked Tyler to the face, Tyler was stopped to his tracks. ''You got to be more unpredictable, you're giving your opponent an easy victory with an performance like that.'' Tyler was getting mad again, he stood up with his right arm ready. ''Demon Stab!'' Michael chuckel a little when Tyler tried to hit him, it was easy to dodge him. Michael Grabbed his right arm again and then his shoulder and threw him over again, as Tyler hit the ground Michael laughed out loud. ''Which one are you? A weakling or stupid?'' Tyler stood up, he had had enough. ''Dark Roar!'' Michael sighed as he spawned his shield to block his attack, Tylers attack did close to nothing to Michael thanks to his shield. After the attack Michael went on attacking Tyler. ''Shining Blast!'' His entire body started to shine as he was rushing towards Tyler, Tyler couldn't defend against Michaels attack and was thrown off away from him. As Tyler was standing up Michael yelled to him. ''You're too predictable, you're weak and stupid. You can't defend Lopmon if you can't defend your self!'' Tyler was getting angry, Michael had touched his weak spot. ''Don't you dare talk about her!'' Michael grinned under his helmet, he had found it. ''If you can't defend yourself then Lopmon and everyone else is going to die!'' Tyler had stood up and yelled to him. ''I'm not weak and I'm not going to let her die!'' Michael was starteld when Tyler started shining. [I-Is he... Digivolving?] Tyler was getting slightly amaller and it seemed that he got a new set of armor. Tyler had finished with his digivolution, Michael couldn't unerstand how he could digivolve. He was already a mega level digimon, but then again so was he when he digivolved into ChaosGreymon. Tyler was now more of an royal looking knight rather than being an warrior, he also resembled BlackOmegamon somewhat. His left arm was the head of an Dardramon and his right one was the head of an BantyoLiomon. His armor was now greenish and less frightening but Michael knew that he was stronger now. ''How could you digivolve into something that requires two Digimon?!'' Tyler didn't say anything, he only looked at him. Michael didn't like this. ''Helloo? Anyone there?'' ''Bantyo Blade!'' Michael was startled when he pulled out an sword from the Bantyoliomon head, just like BlackOmegamon from his BlackWarGreymon hand. Michael quickly got his sword and shield ready when Tyler charged at him. Michael pushed the sword aside with his shield and hit him with his sword, the strike didn't do much to him. [What?! He's resisting my attack? Impossible!] Michael showed Tyler away with his shield and prepared to attack. He rose his sword ans struck it down, from the sword came an wave of dark fire that flew at Tyler. Tyler took his left Darkdramon arm and shouted. ''Gigastick Cannon!'' Michael was startled when the hand turned into a cannon and shot right throught the wave of fire and straight at Michael. [Even his attacks are the same as BlackOmegamons! How is this even possible?!] Michael blocked the attack with his shield, he was suprised by the power of the attack. [Increnible! His power and speed was raised so much during his digivolution that he might even beat me.] Michael wasted no time, he rushed forward for an counterattack. Tyler prepared his sword, he was ready to cross blades with Michael. Michael swinged his sword and the two swords cladhed, now the two were competing which one had more physical strength. At first Tyler pushed Michael back a bit but then Michael started pushing back, he started to use his legs for more power. Michael had a huge advantage, he was able to move his sword around freely while Tyler's sword was stuck on his arm. Michael pushed him back, he shoved him away and then rammed him to the ground. As Tyler was about to launch his cannon again Michael took his shield and blocked the attack, making it so that Tyler was the one who took the most damage. When Michael took off his shield he saw Tyler lying there in his human form unconsious, Michael sighed. ''Even thou you just did something amazing and dangerous it also proved my theory on digivolution.'' Michael got rid of his weapons and grabbed Tyler, he then started flying back to Freiheit. Once he reached the gates he got back to his human form, as he entered many Digimon came gongralitating him on his victory. Even thou Michael liked to be cheered at he also recognized a few suck ups who wanted to get their emperor to like them. Once he reached the HQ he was aproached by Katie. ''Tom, he's.... Well...'' Michael immideatly got worried. ''What is it? Is he OK?'' Katie scratched her head. ''That's the thing, he's completely healed.'' ''Come again?'' ''For some reason he's broken bones healed in a matter of a week while it normally should have been for a month or two...'' Michael walked in, he was aproaching the stairs with Tyler on his arms and Katie behind him. When they reached the door to the room where Tom was Katie opened it, Michael walked in to be suprised. Tom was looking through the window, Michael couldn't believe this. He walked to Toms bed and put Tyler down, he then walked to Tom. ''This place breaks a lot of laws of physics but this... This is too much to believe.'' Tom turned around, he looked like a different person from what he was before. ''Agreed, this place is wonderful. I hope you can forgive me for attacking, I didn't understand the cost of war.'' Michael smiled and grabbed Toms right shoulder. ''Don't worry, mistakes are bound to happen multiple times in a human lifetime. I'm glad you're back.'' Tom smiled back and turned to look at Katie. ''I'm sorry if I caused any trouble.'' ''No worries.'' Katie said with a smile. Michael started to walk out the room. ''Rest, for tomorrow we're propably pretty busy.'' Tom was trying to find the words. ''Who's this guy you put on my bed?'' Michael turned around. ''Oh yeah, he's Tyler and could you take him to the room to the left of yours? Thanks!'' He said as he left. Tom was left with an open jaw, he tried to say something to Katie but she left as well. ''Why?'' In the morning all of them were having brakfest except for Lopmon, they were all glad and confused that Tom had healed. During his time lying on his bed he had been talking with Lilymon who took are of him while he was healing, that way he had gotten almost all of the news. Michael was laughing with the others when they were joking around, but he stopped and stood up. Everyone waited for him to speak, Michael took a deep breath and then started talking. ''Everyone, as you might already know we are going to be attacked by those christian morons.'' Everyone knew this already, but they trusted Michael so much that they weren't so affraid. ''When we spot them we have to evacuate the town and leave the strongest to hold off the enemy while the innocent civilians escape.'' Tyler raised his arm and asked. ''Who's going to stay?'' Michael sighed, he didn't like the plan but it was the only possible one. ''You, me and Katie.'' Tom immideatly stood up to protest. ''What? Are you crazy? I demand that I'll stay to defend this town as well.'' Everyone was suprised by his demand, Michael leaned towards the table. ''I'm sorry but only us who have achieved the full control of mega level digimon are capable of defending this place.'' Alexander stood up to protest. ''Well what about me?'' Michael had no time to answer when Tom continued. ''I believe that I can reach mega level too.'' Everyone was suprised by his words, Michael crossed his arms and dove into his thoughs. ''Well if we could get you two to control your mega levels that would increase our chances of survival tremendously.'' Tom and Alexander were both a little confused, Tom asked. ''We?'' Michael simply waved his hand towards Katie. ''Who do you think? Katie gets to teach Alexander while I deal with you Tom, we don't have any time to waste so let's get a go at it.'' Michael and Tom were at the same place where Michael had fought with Tyler just a while ago, Tom was confused about the sings of battle around him but he listened to what Michael had to say. Michael was explaining the same thing to Tom that he had explained to Tyler. He was telling him about medieval warfare and how they should fight in their mega form, Tom was still confused. ''And how does this have to do with anything?'' Michael chuckled. ''Preperation is half victory, if you come to battle unprepared you might as well throw in the towel.'' Michael explained to Tom about how important it is to keep your emotions at bay while in battle, he also made sure that Tom would understand what was at cost here. If they would fail defending Freiheit against the 9th Crusade they and all the citizens would die. After a while of explaining they had turned into their champion levels, Michael was explaining digivolution to Tom. '''your digimon form is the warrior of friendship, don't ask me why but from all the texts I found it says so. Anyway, try to think that all your friends would be in danger. Try to imagine it so that they would die if you would fail, which they propably are.'' Tom was alarmed ''What do you mean?'' Michael sighed. ''Well if we fail here then the Crusade will propably go around the human world as well, I have no clue if it's going to or not. I'm just speculating.'' Tom thought of it for a while. ''If I fail then all my friends will...'No! I WILL not fail!'' Michael was impressed by his spirit, and more impressed by the trigger of his digivolution. ''Determined one aren't you?'' Michael watched as Tom was digivolving, it seemed that he was skipping straight to mega. Michael had no clue how he managed to do it but he wasn't complaining. Tom was getting huge, to the size of an ShineGreymon. To compare Michael digivolved to his mega level. Tom was nearing the end of his digivolution, Michael was impressed bu his form. It reminded of his own. ''MirageGaogamon!'' Tom yelled as he finished with his digivolution. Michael was amazed. ''Oookay, don't know how but you somehow chanced your digivolutionary line.'' Tom was looking at his new form. ''Is that a good or a bad thing?'' Michael thought of it for a while. ''Well actually it's perfect, if you can chance your digivolutionary line like I can then... Enough of this, let's see what you're capable of. Come on, attack me!'' Tom was confused by his words but he also wanted to see what he was capable of so he charged at him. ''Sonic Move!'' Tom started shining and became a lot faster. ''Shining Blast!'' Michael countered Toms attack with his own fast moving attack.. When the two collided they both grabbed eachothers hands and tried to push the other, Tom started pushing himself forward using the ground and his strong legs. Michael was in a situation where he couldn't push back so he decided to activate his jetpack, when he did Tom lost his balance and Michael pushed him to the ground. Tom was now on the ground with Michael on top of him, he couldn't push Michael away so he decided to use his ace up in his sleeve. His chest opened and started collecting energy as Tom yelled. ''Howling Cannon!'' Michael barely had enough time to get out of the way of the attack, when the two were back on their feet Tom continued his attack. ''Double Gale Claw!'' Michael was taken by suprise when Toms claws created duplicates and sent them towards him. Michael quickly blocked the attack by using his arms. He was suprised by the power of his attack, as he took off his arms he saw Tom charging at him. Michael quickly jumped back dodging his attack, Tom jumped after him. Tom rose his right arm and prepared to use his claw on Michael, Michael on the other hand spawned his sword and charged at Tom. Tom was taken by suprise by Michaels sudden attack and thus didn't have time to defend himself, Michael rammed him down to the ground and put his sword on his throat. ''With some training you could even beat me, I think you're more than enough to defend Freiheit.'' Michael got rid of his sword and got off of Tom, he then offered his arm to him. Tom grabbed the arm and was pulled up, when he was dusting himself off he spoke. ''Thanks, I'm still nervous thou.'' Michael looked in the horizon. ''Understandable, we are going to face against an army of digimon humans.'' Michael then jumped in the air. ''come on! Let's get back to Freiheit and see how Katie's doing with Alexandra!''
