Can't Keep My Eyes Off of Him (Part 2/8)

Dylan slowly walked home from Xavier's house. He had just learned that his otter friend was gay. Of course, he didn't mind at all. However, he just couldn't keep his mind off of him. Dylan shuffled his feet together on the sidewalk, wondering why his friend's confession was still ringing in his mind. "I don't care that he's that way. I'm happy for him!" he thought to himself. But there was still one thing bothering him. When Xavier told him, why did feel happy? Was he just glad for him, or was it something else? And that lightness he was feeling. Was that relief? Why would he be relieved?

Still plagued with these puzzling emotions, Dylan realized that he had already walked home. He mentally shrugged and opened the door. "It's Friday!" he said to no one in particular. He rushed home and lied down on his bed. He took out his own laptop, and logged on. The first thing he saw was a notification of a missed message. He clicked on it, and it only said " dylan, thanks for everything. youre the best"

Dylan closed his laptop slowly. He could feel butterflies erupting in his stomach again. His heart rate was increasing, and a warm sensation was rising in his face. "Why?" he mentally screamed. "Ugh, if I were slightly more impulsive, I might even say I had a crush on him!" he chided to himself. He thought for a moment. "A...a crush...? On Xavier?" Dylan groaned. What was happening to him? He thought far back into the deep corners of his memories, searching for any sign to prove him wrong. He couldn't think of any. Instead, reminders of himself staring at the otter, feeling nervous when he was near, shying away at his touch, and blushing when he was close flooded his mind. "Oh no. No way. I'm straight. Totally straight. The only gay thing about me is how I color my spines rainbow, that's it," he told himself.

Yet, his mind insisted on thinking back to previous instances. "You've never had a girlfriend, you stare at guys more often than you stare at girls, and for god's sake, you paint your spines rainbow. RAINBOW. Are those not enough as indications? Plus, when you look at porn, you practically ignore all the females" said the voice.

"I'm straight, I like girls," he said firmly.

His mind disagreed: "Then why do you keep staring at Xavier? You like him"

Dylan groaned, and stuffed his face into his pillow, trying to take a nap. Images of a certain brown otter kept haunting him. When his mind finally relaxed enough, he felt the waves of slumber overtaking him, welcoming him to a land of sleep.

Dylan stepped out of the shower, still dripping wet. Still temporarily blind from the water in his eyes, his flailed his arms until he found a towel. He grabbed it, and shoved it on his head. He ruffled it around on his face, and took it off, slowly opening his eyes. What he saw took his breath away.

Naked, Xavier stood in front of him, looking more perfect than ever before. Dylan opened his mouth wide, trying to find the words to demand an explanation, but no sound would come out. Xavier stepped closer, smiling gently. "I like you a lot, Dylan" he said softly. The otter approached him, clasping both of his claws. He slowly pulled Dylan to his bedroom. The dragon was transfixed on the otter and quietly followed him.

Xavier sat down on the bed, still staring Dylan in the eyes. He softly pulled the dragon toward him, pressing their muzzles together. Dylan's eyes flung open, but immediately began to fall slowly. He lost himself with Xavier. He could feel a tongue slowly tapping on his teeth. Dylan slowly opened his mouth, granting him entrance. He could feel the otter's tongue exploring his mouth, trying to find his own tongue. He brought it out, tentatively touching Xavier's. The moment they touched, Dylan could feel himself becoming consumed with his desire. He started wrestling the otter's tongue down, thrusting it against himself. He felt Xavier do the same.

Still connected, Xavier lied down on the bed, pulling Dylan with him. As the dragon lied on top, still kissing, he felt a paw slowly make its way down his front. They were both naked, and Xavier had no problem finding the most sensitive part on the dragon's body. Dylan moaned into the kiss, which was still unbroken. He wrapped his arms around Xavier, holding him close and he was being rubbed gently.

"GAH!" Dylan screamed, awakening from his graphic dream. He realized he was sweating, and threw off his covers. What he saw was even more unsettling. He stared down at his boxers, and realized that a formidable tent had formed from his arousal. He thought of the dream again, but it just made him harder. "Why did I enjoy that so much," he whined. He looked at the clock. It was almost ten at night. He was about to go back to sleep, but then realized he skipped dinner. His stomach grumbled, emphasizing this point. He reluctantly rose from his bed, and searched for food. He couldn't find any.

Dylan groaned. He would have to bike to the local drugstore to get some food. He hopped on his bike, and went out the door.

As soon as he pedaled down the driveway, he deeply regretted not wearing a jacket. He looked down at his gym shorts and T-shirt. He silently cursed himself for forgetting that it was nighttime. He shivered constantly, as his body threatened to collapse on the street from the cold. He had just biked past Xavier's house, when he heard someone shout his name. He turned around, but didn't see anyone.

"Dylan!" the voice called.

Dylan whipped his head around, scanning for the source of noise. Finally, he found an open window on Xavier's house. The otter had caught sight of him biking in the cold, and called him over.

"Oh H-hi Xavier," Dylan shouted upward, still shivering.

"Are you crazy? You can't bike in this cold!"

"W-well I r-ran out of f-food, so I'm going to get some more"

"No way, Dylan. You come in right now. I have a ton of food, so you can have some too"

"You, you sure?"

"Definitely," Xavier called out, then closing the window.

Ten seconds later, the front door opened, and Xavier invited him inside. Dylan parked his bike next to the door and followed the otter inside.

The warmth enveloped Dylan as he breathed a sigh of relief. "Thanks Xavier," he said, blushing slightly.

"No problem. Why were you biking in shorts and a T-shirt anyways?"

"I...I forgot it was cold outside..."

"Silly dragon..." said the otter, going into the kitchen to fix up something for them to eat.

A few minutes later, Dylan was given a plate of fries and a sandwich. "Thanks!" he exclaimed, starting to devour it.

"Don't you know you'll get a cold if you bike outside without warmer clothes?"

"Actually," Dylan said between bites, "temperature only indirectly causes colds. When it's cold outside, we tend to stay inside more, and staying inside with others encourages the transmission of flu or cold causing viruses. So really, I'm more at a risk of getting a cold by staying here with you than biking outside"

"Um...I swear, you and biology should just get married"

Dylan scoffed, but couldn't help but smile at Xavier's joke.

After a good half hour of chatting and sharing stories, Dylan realized that it was already eleven. "Oh, I should go now," he said.

"Oh no, it's still really cold! Maybe you could stay here?" Xavier asked hopefully.

"Um, I don't want to be a bother..." Dylan said, even though he would love nothing more than to stay with Xavier.

"I want you to stay. Really, I do"

"O-okay. Thanks, Xavier"

"Yay, sleepover! What should we do first?" Xavier yelled, clapping his paws together.

"Um...how about Truth or Dare?" Dylan suggested, remembering his first sleepover years ago.

"With only two people? Ooh, I've never done that before! Sounds fun!"

"Okay. To your room?"

"Let's go!"

Dylan and Xavier rushed to the otter's room, and sat down on his bed. "Okay, I'll start," Xavier said, "Truth or dare?"

"Um...dare!"

"Hmm... I dare you... to...wear one of my sister's dresses!"

Dylan groaned. "Fine," he said, as Xavier handed him one. He easily slipped it on over his shorts. "Good enough for you?" he said with a smirk.

"Very. My turn! I chose...truth!"

"Um..." Dylan thought. He was going to ask his friend what he used the lotion and tissues for, but he suddenly thought of a question he desperately wanted answered. "How did you figure out you were gay?"

Xavier rubbed the back of his head with his paw, and took a breath. "Well, I guess I realized it a few months ago, really. But I only felt ready to tell you about it today." He looked at the clock. It was past midnight. "Oh umm, yesterday. Thanks for your support, by the way"

"No problem. You still didn't answer my question though," said Dylan quietly.

"Oh yeah. Um, I kind of guessed that something was off when I found myself looking at guys more often than girls. And when I um... ahem... 'surf the web,' I tended to like to look at males more than females. I only knew for sure when I got a major crush on another guy"

"Yeah, but how did you figure out you had a crush on a guy?"

"Well, I would feel a little bit nervous around him, and I couldn't stop looking at him. Also, when we were together, I would feel really happy, and be kind of sad when he left. Plus, I fantasized about him all the time"

Dylan sat on the bed, mouth open with a worried look on his face. He suddenly realized that what Xavier had been describing was what he'd been feeling for months. Xavier noticed his friend's face, and asked "Are you okay?"

"Y-yeah. I-I have to go. I'll see you later," Dylan said, standing up and walking out the room.

"No Dylan, wait! Dylan! What's wrong? Is something bothering you?" Xavier shouted, grabbing the dragon's arm.

Dylan jerked his hand away, shouting "Yes, something's bothering me! It's you! You're what's wrong, Xavier!"

At these words, Xavier slowly sank into the floor, onto his hind legs. Tears flowed from his eyes, as he cried. Dylan ran downstairs and out the front door, tears streaming down his own face.

DUN DUN DUN! Cliffhanger!
