"The Price of Displeasure"

The silk draperies, glittering gold trim, and exotic incense made Jenak's chambers a room fit for a prince or perhaps even a sultan. The coyote had even been told, on more than one occasion, that the luxury and extravagance was for his own benefit, his own enjoyment, but Jenak had long since come to terms with the fact that such was not the case. He was not royalty. He was a display piece.

Not that the great and kind Kethos would ever dare use such a term. To those who visited the fox's fancy pleasure court, Jenak and his fellows were called attendants; in private, they were simply pets--or, depending on Kethos' mood that day, even cruder things.

Today was one of those days, it seemed. "Jenak!" Kethos snapped loudly from down the hall. "Jenak, come here at once, you slut!" The coyote nearly fell off the side of his bed when he heard his master yell his name. He'd been expecting a few hours of peace and quiet, since he knew that Kethos had taken to his chambers with Danna, the favorite of his pets. More alarming than having his rest broken, though, was the urgency Jenak heard in Kethos' voice. Had something gone wrong? Had one of the fox's games finally gone too far?

Jenak's room was the third from Kethos' master bedroom itself. Closest to the fox's was, of course, Danna's, and after that came Fionus, but he was currently out on retainer to a visiting dignitary who had paid Kethos quite handsomely (with what, Jenak knew not) for a week of the strapping wolf lad's company. That left Jenak as next 'in line,' at least insofar as Kethos' personal preference; the hierarchy among the some two dozen pets--the attendants, rather--was tough to sort out, even to those on the inside, and sometimes, as they all knew, Kethos could be fickle.

Fear of that fickleness was enough to make Jenak hustle. The coyote sprung out of bed and stopped only briefly to check the fitting on his violet loincloth and to comb the fur between his ears with nothing but his claws (Jenak, unlike some others, had been permitted to keep his claws). Deciding that speed was more prudent than fancifulness, Jenak wasted no further time preening, and trotted on down the hall at a speed just shy of a run.

The entrance to Kethos' master bedroom was not blocked by a door, but rather by a series of three heavy curtains, colored a mix of purple and turquoise, which did a surprisingly good job of muffling the sounds of pleasure and exertion that were often to be heard within. Jenak pushed them out of his way, and was immediately made dizzy for just a moment from the smell of some new incense that he didn't recognize. His tail slashed from side to side as he fought to keep balance, and he was mercifully able to hold on to it so that he merely stumbled through to the other side of the curtains rather than falling flat on his face.

At first, Jenak thought that he had to have stumbled into the wrong room, because he didn't recognize it right away, but he soon saw that his master had simply redecorated. Several fresh bundles of peacock feathers had been set up to frame the wall behind the enormous bed, and new silk curtains hung from shiny silver rods that reflected the dim light from the burning braziers that lined the room. Over in the back left corner, the incense burned, creating almost no smoke but still filling the chamber with its pungent (not not wholly unpleasant) aroma.

Despite the new décor, it was still the sight of the nine-foot-tall Kethos that drew the most attention. Even kneeling atop the bed as he now was, the massive, naked, white-furred fox was still brutally imposing, more so due to the snarl of displeasure twisting his snout. His gold-glittered, black-tipped tail lashed from side to side as he strained, however lightly, to hold the much smaller grey fox down against the mattress. One of his huge black paws was pressed flat against Danna's belly, and the other was closed over the littler fox's muzzle.

When he looked up and saw Jenak enter, Kethos' face changed entirely. His cold, icy blue--but still anything but unfeeling--eyes widened and lit up when he looked at the coyote, and his scowl gave way to a happy smile. He looked as though he wasn't even aware of the flailing grey fox he was holding down. "Ah, Jenak, there you are," the big white fox said, his low and handsome voice bearing none of the malice it had carried when he'd shouted for the coyote. "I'm glad to see you."

Jenak dipped his head in a bow. "Yes, of course, sir," he said, quickly but clearly, stilling his tail. "Is there something I can assist you with?" It wasn't uncommon at all for Kethos to enjoy the company of several of his pets at once, but while Jenak voiced no complaints about being part of the white fox's frequent bondage games, he was less of a fan of those that required him to exact cruelty on his fellow attendants.

"I just want you to listen, for now," Kethos said, fingers tightening against Danna's sides, even if he showed no other sign of paying the other fox any attention. "Well, listen and watch. I know you can do that, right, Jenak?"

"Of course, sir," Jenak said, lifting his head back up and ensuring that his ears were upright and at full attention.

"That's right," Kethos said. "Because you're a good and obedient pet, aren't you, Jenak? You know how to do what you're told. You know well enough to not risk my displeasure." Now, faint signs of that anger and cruelty were cracking through his voice and his expression.

Jenak was worried. He seldom saw Kethos legitimately displeased with his pets, and it was even less frequently something that was directed at him. "I do, sir, of course. In all ways, at all times."

Still holding Danna's muzzle shut, Kethos began to pet along the smaller fox's chest and abdomen. "Yes, and I believe you mean every word of that, of course," he said, speaking to Jenak, still, but casting his gaze casually and dismissively toward Danna. "Nevertheless, there have been others whom I also believed embraced such ideals of loyalty unwaveringly and without question, and it saddens me greatly, Jenak, when I find that my trust in those vows has been misplaced."

"I assure you, sir," Jenak said, nearly stammering, "if I have done something that has--"

Kethos shook his head and cut the coyote off. "Oh, no, Jenak, you have been nothing but loyal and eager to please since you first came here," he said. "I thought the same of young, lovely Danna here, too, though, and it's no secret that I thought more highly of him than I thought of you--any of you."

There was legitimate regret in Kethos' voice, but the use of past tense made Jenak even more nervous. "I... I swear," the coyote said, "that I will do all I can to assure you that my devotion is absolute."

Again, Kethos went back to looking and sounding blasé. "And your devotion pleases me, pet," he said. "Danna seems to have been under the sadly misguided impression, though, that the pleasure I took in--and took from--him made him... oh, somehow worth more to me than he was."

Angry fire returned to the fox's eyes. "I need my pets to know, Jenak, just exactly what they are worth to me." With that, he turned to look down at Danna again, and finally released the little fox's muzzle as he bent down so that they were face-to-face.

At once, Danna's face was alive with terror. "No!" he screamed. "No, sir, please, I--" His protests were cut short, though, as Kethos' thick tongue slid out from between his lips and wrapped around the smaller fox's muzzle, managing to keep it shut. Kethos started to lift his pet up off the mattress, then, his tongue extending further to lap messily all over the grey fox's face before he let out a predatory growl.

Jenak stared in horrified disbelief. He couldn't. He wouldn't.

But he did. Kethos parted his jaws and slipped his massive snout right over the screaming grey fox's head. His lips sealed down around the throat, and Danna's cries and shouts became nothing more than faint, muffled noises that nobody but Kethos and Jenak would be able to hear. The huge white fox held tightly to Danna, and he slipped from his kneeling position into a seated position, with his long legs swinging down over the edge of the bed, his feet firmly planted on the floor.

Kethos' eyes closed as the sides of his muzzle pursed inwards, as if he were sucking on Danna's skull. Jenak heard what he could only assume was the sound of the fox's tongue slathering that trapped head, and there was a wet smacking sound as Kethos parted his lips again, only to stuff the smaller fox deeper into that wide, long muzzle. Danna's legs kicked and his tail lashed, but Kethos' strong arms and paws were more than enough to hold the other fox steady. The white fox clamped Danna's arms to his sides, wrists down by his hips, and held him up.

Jenak's breathing had become nervous panting, now. He didn't want to look, didn't want to see this happening, but he knew that even if he tried to look away, he'd fail. Terrible though it was, he couldn't not look. He and Danna had not been best friends, it was true, but they'd been on pleasant enough terms with one another, and on more than one occasion they'd gotten the chance to share a bed, as Kethos allowed his pets to do when he was otherwise occupied. When your life was devoted solely to serving another's needs, the chance to simply play freely with someone without the burden of duty or obeisance was at times the closest you could come to feeling like you were your own person again.

And now, here was Danna, a fellow attendant--a fellow person--being devoured whole by his master. Jenak couldn't imagine what Danna could have done to so anger Kethos, but he couldn't think of anything that would justify this.

Kethos was taking his time, Danna's attempts at a struggle wholly ineffectual. As large as Kethos was, the true extent of his overwhelming size was fearsomely apparent now as he pushed the small fox deeper, his shoulders disappearing into that stretched muzzle and his head starting to form a bulge in the larger vulpine's throat. Oh, gods above, Jenak could actually see it! Danna's slender legs kicked even harder, but Kethos just swallowed, his throat rippling, tugging his pet downward by another foot or so.

The cold blue eyes opened back up and met Jenak's, and the fox just stared at the coyote as he continued to cram Danna's body into his maw. Watch, those eyes seemed to say, as if to compel the coyote to keep his attention on the horrible act. There was no smile on the white fox's full snout, though, as if he knew that Jenak could do nothing more than watch as he was.

Already half of Danna's body was gone from view, and the rest was disappearing faster now that Kethos had gotten the grey fox's shoulders--the widest part of his already-slender body--into his gullet. Even now, Danna kicked and struggled, but Kethos' throat continued its unrelenting gulping, the wide bulge of the fox's body moving down through it in steady, even, punctuated swallows.

Kethos released his hold on Danna's arms now that his jaws were doing a good enough job of keeping them pinned to the grey fox's side. His tongue slipped out from between his lower jaw and Danna's belly, and it curled up between those thrashing legs and up under that frizzled tail. It made a slow scooping motion, and Danna's rear end disappeared from view behind the master's lips and teeth.

Finally, Kethos tilted his head back slowly until it was near vertical. Danna's tail dangled limply, and even his legs had stopped most, but not all, of their struggle. With gravity on his side, now, Kethos swallowed again, one, two, three more times, before his muzzle closed around the soles of Danna's feet, and his jaws clicked back shut. A more visceral gulp game next, and the big white fox leaned back and let out a groan of perverse satisfaction as the bulge that had been Danna sank down the rest of the way, leaving him with a big, fat, round and distended belly.

"You see, then, Jenak?" Kethos said, lazily licking his chops as he gazed back at the coyote. "This is what you pets are worth to me. I adore you all dearly, and your devotion gives me nothing but pleasure, but you must remember that I own you, and that you are both replaceable as well as disposable."

Jenak swallowed a lump in his throat, and Kethos grinned. "You won't forget that, will you, Jenak?"

The coyote shook his head and mouthed the words, "No, sir," but no sound came out.

Kethos accepted the answer anyway, and he smiled again. "Good," he said, and then he reached down beneath his bulging belly and fondled his sheath for a moment. "Come over here, then, and remind me why I allow a faggot of a coyote such as yourself to remain in my court."

There was no mistaking the intention, but Jenak had almost as much trouble believe it as he did believing the gruesome sight he'd just been witness to. Did his vulpine master really expect him to be able to perform with the near-paralyzing fear that now gripped the coyote's mind?

Of course he did, Jenak though. Kethos knew nothing if he didn't know what it was he wanted.

Slowly, the coyote approached Kethos, but the fox didn't seem impatient. He spread his legs further, his stomach hanging down almost enough to hide his sheath from view. Jenak could still see it, though, and he could see that it was growing, filling out, and by the time he reached the foot of the bed, the coyote could smell the fox's maleness even over the pungent incense.

"Don't be afraid," the fox said, and his grin of reassurance just looked cruel under the circumstances. One of his big paws cradled Jenak's cheek, and the coyote closed his eyes and nuzzled it weakly. "I'm not going to hurt you," the fox murmured to him. "Not so long as you give me the pleasure I seek."

Jenak opened his eyes, looked back up into Kethos', and nodded with his face still against the fox's paw. He knelt down, then, between the fox's wide feet, and took a deep breath in order to flood his senses with musk so that his body could absorb the shock and get it over with. It was his hope that with his already meek and trembling demeanor that Kethos wouldn't notice a quick choke or sputter as the scent of arousal temporarily overwhelmed him.

The round, white-furred belly seemed to loom in front of the kneeling coyote. Jenak knew that Kethos had intended for this display of his to serve as little more than an object lesson to keep him in line, but from the soft groaning and the way that the fox had been licking in between his lips and teeth and gums, Jenak knew that his master had also legitimately enjoyed the meal he'd made of his once-favorite pet.

Leaning in to snuffle and lick, Jenak could already see the shiny black flesh starting to emerge from Kethos' heavy sheath. At nine feet tall, the white fox had an impressive endowment, to say the least; ordinarily, the coyote took some pleasure in being able to service it, but now, all he could focus on was keeping Kethos happily enough to let him leave these chambers alive.

More of that thick black spike started to slide free in suit. Evidently, doling out Danna's punishment had gotten Kethos rather excited, as well. Jenak kept his own paws on the floor in front of him and started to lap at the wide shaft as it grew out of its sheath, the taste and scent of musk seeming dull to him through the haze of his fear. Firm twitches greeted his tongue, though, and so for a time, at least, the coyote calmed at the thought that he was doing well.

"Good, Jenak, good," Kethos rumbled, his thick fingers ruffling the back of Jenak's head. On reflex, the coyote looked up at the fox, but the too-familiar sight of what his master looked like from down on his knees was gone. Thanks to the fat, fox-filled stomach that Kethos now sported, Jenak couldn't even see his master's face without leaning back, and he didn't dare do that for fear of such a withdrawal coming across as recalcitrance.

Thick, heady drizzle ran down the underside of Kethos's member as it swelled further and further, closely approaching its full size. Jenak tasted it, then started to lick even faster, as if to clean that firm flesh before the copious fluids could make a mess of it. The dark black started to develop a thin layer of gloss, the firelight showing in fuzzy reflection whenever the fox turned one of his thighs a certain way.

For the time being, Jenak continued to treat his master to firm kisses and long, slow licks. Fitting the huge black cock into his muzzle was something he could do that some of the other attendants couldn't, but it wasn't something he usually attempted until Kethos made it known that that was what he wanted. For now, the fox seemed happy enough with what he was getting, and happy was exactly what Jenak wanted for him.

The sound of a low gurgle broke the coyote's concentration. It came, of course, from Kethos' belly. It made the coyote pause and hesitate, and in the next second or so, the fox's gut burbled some more. Kethos thumped a paw on his heavy, weighed-down stomach and chuckled. "Considering how easy it is to get replacements for you little ones, I really should consider eating you more often." He was matter-of-fact, and his tone suggested that he liked the idea, not for the sinister image it conjured in Jenak's mind, but just for what it was. As if reading the coyote's mind, then, the fox reached down to pat him on the head some more. "Oh, not you, of course, Jenak," he said, but the degree of his sincerity was dubious.

With a slothful groan, Kethos leaned back, setting his weight on his paws behind his back. His full belly shifted and wobbled, and so did his turgid member. Jenak moved his muzzle to get it back in place, but then Kethos reached down, wrapped his fingers around the base of his own shaft, and bumped the tip of it against the coyote's lips suggestively. Disguising a whimper as a deep breath, Jenak obeyed, parting his lips, sliding them down around the smooth-skinned, leaky tip.

It was always a strain on Jenak's jaws to get Kethos' shaft into his muzzle, and even when he did, it was impossible for him to take anywhere close to the whole length of it. That never seemed to bother Kethos, though, usually. Today seemed like a different story. Once the coyote had gotten the fox's tip lodged into his snout, the fox gave the back of the coyote's head an impatient push.

As the coyote's head was forced downward and his muzzle spread uncomfortably wide around Kethos' girth, Jenak's mind was filled with the awful mental image of the fox's own muzzle spreading similarly as he stuffed it with the whole of Danna's body. Just the thought of it made him try to jerk his head back on initial impulse, but Kethos' paw was strong and did not yield. There was no reprimand, though--only another slow push.

The tip of the fox's cock pressed against the top of Jenak's throat, and the coyote felt like his jaws were going to snap. Thankfully, the paw on the back of his head slid away, then, and a few fingertips stroked his ears. "Just suck for me, pet," the fox purred. "Be nice and gentle, and let your master relax."

Having his snout stretched this wide was already forcing Jenak's eyes shut, and he was glad for that, since it allowed him to hide his pathetic wince as he started to do what he was told. For the first time since he'd come to Kethos' court so many years ago, he honestly wanted nothing more than to get out, to get up and run and get as far away as possible. He knew that it was an impossible dream, and that even if he did somehow manage to escape the premises (which was futile in its own right), Kethos was so well-connected that Jenak would just be caught again, and the coyote doubted that his fate, at that point, would even be as kind as Danna's.

And so Jenak just continued to suck. He kept on sucking and slurping and tending to the white fox's thick, throbbing black member, because that's all that he could do, because he was a pet and nothing more, all that he would ever be, for the rest of his 'privileged' life.

Kethos had the coyote's full and total acquiescence. The fox got to make use of his pet's talented, stretchy jaws, having to do nothing else but just lie back and enjoy the ride until he came good and hard, making the coyote cough, pull back, sputter, and make a mess of his own throat and chest and also the floor down between the fox's feet.

"It's okay, pet," the white fox cooed. "Not all of us have the same sort of muzzle capacity." He then adoringly stroked the fur between Jenak's ears as he forced the coyote to simply clean up the mess with his tongue.

When that was over, Jenak washed the fox's shaft and sheath clean with perfumed soaps, and dried him off with soft, velvety cloth. At last, that black-skinned object of worship disappeared back into its sheath, which in turn shrank until it, too, was mostly hidden behind the low-hanging curve of the fox's distended stomach.

"You've done very well today, Jenak," Kethos told him as he stood up and started to pace around the bedroom, tidying things up at random. The coyote stayed on his knees, dwarfed by the tall fox. "I might go so far as to say I've found myself a new favorite." The words came with an honest grin.

Jenak dipped his head and turned his eyes to the floor. "Sir," was his only reply.

"You hay have Danna's old chambers," the fox said, turning away from the coyote, wandering over to one of his shelves as he waved dismissively for his pet to stand back up. "His possessions, too. It's all yours, Jenak."

The coyote took no pleasure in his upgraded status, but he nodded and thanked his master all the same. "You are too generous, sir," he said.

"Oh, I don't think so," the fox replied. "After all, I know I can place my trust in you, Jenak. I know you won't disappoint me."

Kethos flicked his paw once more, and Jenak accepted his dismissal without another word. The coyote tried to block what he had just seen from his mind, but he knew already that, whatever grievous mistake poor Danna had made in upsetting their master, the fox had fully ensured that his new favorite would not repeat it.

*

Samril looked in the mirror one last time, checking the fur between his stubby ears. He knew that Kethos liked his otters to keep their oily pelts in check, and so Samril took pride in the grooming routine he'd come up with that allowed his fur to keep its bright sheen without being greasy and slippery.

Today was going to be a big day for him, the otter knew. He'd been in the white fox's court for just a few months, now, but already he seemed to be making a name for himself. Attendants' families got paid an exorbitant sum for committing one of their sons to the fox's pleasure den, and it made Samril flush to know that not only was he doing right by his family, but also that he was pleasing his master.

He knew that he was pleasing his master because he'd been asked by Kethos himself to join him along with the most esteemed of his pets, the handsome coyote named Jenak. Jenak had purportedly been Kethos' favorite for several years, now, and Samril, having gotten the chance to play with the coyote on his own one wonderful evening, was delighted to be given the opportunity to help the canine serve their master.

Samril could barely contain his excitement as he walked down the hallway toward Kethos' master bedroom. From some of the other rooms came the sounds of his fellow pets enjoying one another's company, as it was no secret when Kethos had specially set time aside for particular attendants. They were probably happy to have the 'time off,' as it were, but Samril was glad that he'd gotten such high recognition.

When the otter stepped on into Kethos' chambers, he nearly cried out in surprise at what he saw. The fox, huge though he already was, had lost his usual masculine, athletic form; instead, he had now somehow, managed to develop a massive potbelly. He was sprawled languidly on his bed, one paw lazily stroking his new, fat gut. He had easily put on at over a hundred pounds since the otter had last seen him just the night before.

His smooth blue eyes alighted upon the otter, and he grinned. "Ah, Samril," he said, smirking as he registered his pet's surprise, thumping his belly for effect. "There you are."

"Yes, sir," Samril stammered. "I'm here, just as you asked." He took another look around the room, just to make sure, but it looked as though the fox was indeed alone. "Is Jenak not here yet, sir?"

"Jenak won't be joining us, I'm afraid," Kethos said, sitting up slowly, curling his tail off to one side. "You will, however, be joining him."

The fox patted the mattress. "Come up here, my cute little pet," he said, flashing the otter a delighted, toothy grin.
