Love will find a way

CHAPTER 1

The sounds and early smells that came in with the light morning breeze blowing in through the open window of John's bedroom pushing aside the curtains that had been closed allowing for the two that occupied the massive bed in the room to get a good night sleep without the outside bugging them. However the warm morning breeze pushed the curtain's aside allowing for the morning sunlight to stream down upon John's sleeping form and face causing him to groan wanting to roll over and go back to sleep snuggling into the sleeping form of his companion. Nevertheless, he truly looked forward to this day for two reasons that allowed him to open his eyes letting out a sigh and groan.

One was that each new day of research brought new developments and discovery in the study of Pokémon life and going about their daily lives without the research crew interrupting them. Sometimes their luck was amazing that each team member went back over each piece of data and information once more just to make sure that it was correct before they continued on with the next step which meant that it took some time to get a deadline done. However each team member enjoyed their job very much that the delay or overtime didn't seem to stop them from enjoying their work.

The second reason that came to John as being the most important one for him was being able to see Linda, his research assistant for a number of years now, that he had grown very fond of to the point that he had begun dividing his time with her and his work. Making sure that each one would get equal amount of time with Linda when she helped him with some important matters of understanding something. Her full name was Linda Silvers, he found that there was so many words to actually describe her appearance but one word came to mind right away...Amazing! Standing at 5' 6" an amazing beauty that seemed to be what many would describe her as a perfect diamond rarely found. With long silver like hair that reached down past her shoulders with blue eyes that were silloueted by a crystal like eyeliner that brought mystery in her eyes that almost looked like pools of the deepest water completed the mysterious woman.

When John had first met her, he had thought he was daydreaming when he had met her when his sister Bethany Lynn Blaine introduced him to her and Bethany's boyfriend did he feel his jaw drop in amazement because he had never met anyone that even came close to having her beauty or anything. Wearing a loose fitting adventure like suit that wore loosely on her form but not to the point that it would be considered sexual in anyway but seemed comfortable enough that nothing was rubbing against her skin. Although she turned out to be very shy and didn't talk much with them at first only she was a great listener as John went about explaining his beginning of Pokémon research that she showed interest as he went about explain of how much he really cared for Pokémon did she really open up.

After the first meeting she came by the lab one day surprising him at first although delighting in the process did he introduce her to the staff that were at the lab as most found her beauty like he did a sight to behold. After telling the group to get back to work, he invited her to a station where he showed her what he was working on did she interrupt him. She told him that she wanted to volunteer as an assistant to him to help with his work.

He was amazed to find that even though she was knowledgeable in the fields that they were researching into, once again it became apparent that she was shy barely telling anyone of whom she was or where she came from. But the most strangest thing that each found after a while was she didn't talk from her mouth but she had some sort of telepathy that she used to communicate, making it most confusing at times when she was trying to tell another something important startling many when she talked to them. This caused a funny thought to come to his mind as he allowed his legs to slip out from underneath the bed sheets as he remembered how they started thinking that they were going crazy with some sort of condition until Linda was able to stop the confusion to explain that she was mute and she had the talent of telepathy because of it was the only way she can chat with others.

However after sometime of working together, John and Linda found they had a lot in common with each other than originally thought. He finally found himself drawn to the mysterious woman to whom he had become transfixed with that he asked her to be his personal assistant with dealing with field work outside and inside the lab. With everyone else having already paired up to handle field work elsewhere, she seemed to take the chance of joining him to help further in the research as given time since the beginning the two started seeing each other more frequenically after work either grabbing a drink or John cooking her dinner. This also resulted in him walking her home several nights which came to the point that they are of right now.

That's where another mystery became deeper, John remembered as he threw open the shades allowing the breeze to continue in more freely causing the second figure to stir from her sleep rolling over in bed offering a groan of her own throwing the sheets over her head. It caused him to smirk as he grabbed the sheets pulling the sheets back off her head. "Come on, sleepy head. Time to get up, we got a busy day today."

"Mmmmm!" was the only answer as she tried a few last second before looking at him. "You know the trip won't take more than a few hours at best to get there." She answered showing that she enjoyed the sheets.

"Come on, Linda. Time to get up; let's have a good meal before we go into town to get our supplies before starting the trip. I want to get there before night falls." He said offering a smile before heading out of the room for the kitchen starting a pot of coffee before heading for the bathroom to start a shower.

Throwing the switch on, he began to allow the water to begin to warm up before allowing his mind to continue to remember their first walk. Whenever he would walk her home with a arm wrapped her waist, something that she hadn't allowed him to do such so he refrained to going about walking by her, which she would snuggle her body into his warm embrace. She directed him toward a four way section of room with one path leading toward the only town for miles, the other way being for the mountains that stretched nearly around the entire valley offering protection from hazards at times. The third way headed for the beachhead which was always the path that she had taken separating from John always at that point never allowing the pair to travel further from there.

During the times whenever it was really cold or raining hard in the beginning of their time together, he had offered that she could stay at his place or he wanted to escort her to her place just to give him some sense that she had made it home safely given that there were known dangerous Pokémon out there that had a tendency to attack travelers along the pathway traveling at night. However she would always decline the offer answering that she would be all right as the Pokémon of the area never seemed to bother her.

Never letting out if was something was different or wrong as she began giving him a passionate kiss after sometime showing that her love for him was growing reassuring him that she really did love him. Opening the shower curtain to allow him to step under the spray of the water, he allowed his mind to start planning out the day trying to remember everything that needed to be done.

This was the part of the year that he always enjoyed and had hoped to make the trip when he had the time and money to make the trip especially since he had become a Pokémon researcher remember the story that his mom and Aunt would always tell him the legend about the cove that he and Linda were going to be making today.

By local legend it is said that Lugia was supposedly was seen to appear above the point every year 30 miles up the coast from the research station was. Taking the time to allow the rest of the research members to take some time off or do their own field work elsewhere allowing John to be able to spend more time with Linda.

Being able to get back into camping and hike sense of the trip as he hadn't been out in the field for a while doing research in the lab. Although at times he had started regretting that because one thing that his co-workers and friends always like about him was that he had occasions in which happened on occasional either slipping on a stack of papers that had fallen over after being stacked too high or getting kicked in the nads by a Ponyta or Rapidash which he still didn't understand why.

Anyways, John thought at one point that he would have to make the trip alone cause he wasn't sure if Linda wanted to come along until she expressed a great interest in the idea in going herself. She had at one point explained that she was going to ask him if he had wanted to make the trip with her and when he agreed she squealed in delight knowing that they would enjoy the trip no matter what happened.

That was about two weeks ago, during that time Linda had taken the invite of spending the night with him as they love seemed to have grown since to the point that John expected beyond a given doubt that this was someone that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.

In the bedroom finally finding herself climbing out from under the sheets sometime after her companion and love had left the room heading for the kitchen, Linda sat there hunched over finding a smile slowly crossing across her face allowing for the stress to leave her body allowing her to sit up completely. The previous night that they had shared together stayed in her mind long after both of them had fallen asleep in each other's arms enjoying the embrace.

Growing up as a child hidden among the human kind, Linda had kept her secret well fearing rejection and to be either hunted down or thrown in a lab where she would be experimented on. The reason that she was able to meet John was that while she was a child she had become friends with William Dumont, someone that treated her like a sister which made her feel welcome in this world.

However she didn't let on who she was at one point when they were older did she meet Williams girlfriend by the name of Bethany Lynn Blaine did she come to meet John Blaine the man that she had fallen in love with. They had become a great team ever since she had volunteered at his work, hiding who she truly is.

You see below the surface of her appearance, hidden away from the sight of the humans was a legendary Pokémon only known by the name of Lugia but goes by the name of Linda. A creature that was among the rarest of all Pokémon, whoever that would see her in her true form were only among the few that got the chance.

However this also was the problem and main reason for finding her way into John's life as he shared a love for Pokémon and to care little at all for things that may be strange that she found herself drawn to him more than anyone else that she had met before. However there was something that she realized that needed to happen and the time had come that Linda told John of whom she truly was and see how he took the news.

Grabbing her robe off the door handle and slipping it on covering her undergarments that she had already gotten on tying the rope lightly around her waist before starting out of the room catching the first smell of fresh coffee brewing in the kitchen. Smiling once more, she headed to the stove pulling out the pans and ingredients for the start of breakfast.

~Hey John, what do you want for breakfast? ~ She asked catching him nearly off guard if he wasn't use to the sudden voice appearing in his mind while he was either working or taking a shower. Linda giggles as she his response over the roar of the shower.

"A ham and cheese omelet if possible. Not sure if we still have any eggs left after last week." He yelled to Linda as he finished up his shower wanting to save some hot water for her. Wrapping a towel around his waist after drying off, John stepped into the kitchen slipping in behind her wrapping his arms around her waist giving her neck and shoulder a kiss and nip causing her to groan leaning back into the administration.

"Shower is all yours, love. Let me get dressed and I will take over with making breakfast." He said stepping away from her allowing her to continue to cook the omelet.

~All right, about the time you finish your omelet should be finished. ~ She answered offering a smile. She found herself eager and yet nervous at the same instant about what would happen tonight. Linda was determined that it was time to reveal who she was and see what was to happen afterwards.

"All right, did you want an omelet or pancakes and hash browns?" he asked pouring a cup of coffee.

~Pancakes and hash browns will be fine. You know I am not much of a meat eater...too bad we don't have any fish though, I always enjoyed a good fishy meal.~ she answered offering a grin in which John return before pushing him off toward the bedroom so he could get dressed before she turned back toward the stove once more.

CHAPTER 2

Finishing up the breakfast taking the time to enjoy the meal rather than rushing around trying to get ready for work either sleeping in or whatever the trouble allowing both to enjoy the meal before closing and locking up the cabin. Grabbing the gear on their way out of the door, determined to come back to the cabin as changed people as it wasn't just on Linda's mind anymore...it was also on John's mind now.

Entering the town just on the outskirts of the market did John stop on the sidewalk next to a series of stores turning to Linda as she raised an eyebrow? "Why don't you go and get started on gathering food and supplies, I need to finish paying bills for the lab and the cabin before we leave on out trip."

~All right, I will meet you in the market as soon as you are finished. ~ She answered giving him a kiss before making her way into the crowd that had started arriving for the day. John watched her go holding on to the smile before turning toward the only store that he was interested in and intended on visiting at that point before rejoining Linda.

Pushing the door open and stepping inside the open shop where an elderly gentleman that was working on a project looked up offering a smile. "Good morning, John! How are you doing this morning?" he asking moving out from behind the counter to shake his hand. Taking the man by the arm in a hand shake, John answered returning the grin.

"I am good, Jim. Linda and I are going up for a vacation and I wanted to pick up the 'gift' that I ordered. Is it ready to go?" John asked as the shop owner directed him over to the counter where he quickly bent down behind the countertop before coming back up after a second holding a small box which he handled with great care placing it on top of the countertop.

"It just came in a few minutes ago before you came in. Everything is set as you wanted it." Jim answered opening box revealing a beautiful diamond engagement ring with a medium size diamond that sat in the middle of it. "Isn't it a beaut?"

"Awesome job with it. Thank you, Jim; I owe you one for making this." John said handing over a check for the ring before allowing the same hand to close the box after giving it a look over to make sure that everything was correct. Although he knew that the work was unique and how much the ring meant to him that Jim wouldn't make a mistake on purpose.

"I have always said since I saw you and Linda together that you two were made for each other that destiny brought you together. Me and the misses were wondering when you would propose to her." Jim told John as he rang up the purchase bringing back the receipt for him. "So when are you going to ask her?"

"Tonight. I think it would be the best time." He explained.

"Well good luck to you. Let us know the results and when the wedding is." He answered with a grin as if he already knew the response. Shaking his head before thanking his friend, John left the store with the ring safely set in the box hidden away from sight started down the street keeping a keen eye out for Linda as she had a tendency to enjoy sneaking up on him.

With the early morning crowds weren't making it too difficult to spot Linda standing among the early morning buyers especially since no one else had a head full of silver like hair. Finding her standing at a stall picking through several fruits that sat on a display board in front of her with her back to him, causing John to smile as he started to weave in and out of the crowds toward her position keeping an eye on her.

There came a point where he thought he had noticed a weird looking figure seemingly watching her from a distance seemingly unnoticed by anyone except for him. Stopping to try and get a better look at the strange figure, he found that whoever he or she was had disappeared from sight causing John to look around trying relocate the figure or someone that may be wearing the same clothes.

"They are watching both of you, researcher." A voice spoke out from nowhere causing John to whirl around trying to locate the source. However once again he found that the people were walking around showing no indication of where the voice came from. "Keep her safe...don't lose her."

John found himself wanting to yell out to whoever was talking to him as it seemed. He found himself growing worried and yet angry about what the voice was saying that he barely noticed someone say his name.

~John...John...~ a soft voice called out although to him it was almost distant in his mind. When someone placed a hand on his shoulder causing him to whirl around to find a concerned yet confused look on Linda's face. ~Are you all right? You look a little confused. ~

"Yeah just a bit of a morning daze, I guess." John answered finally shaking off his daze look noticing her carrying an extra travel bag with one in her extended hand to him. "Find everything that we should need?"

~We still need a few other things like fuel for the lanterns and matches. ~ She answered slinging the other bag over her shoulder allowing John to take the other bag feeling how heavy it is.

"Dang, we must be planning a feast for tonight or for the next couple of days and nights huh?" he asked causing her to laugh trying to avoid from giggling outright. ~No, but it's not all food, love. So did you get all of the bills paid? ~ She asked as they continued on down the street past the stalls. At first he wasn't sure of what she was talking about until he remembered what he had told her that he had been doing at the stores.

"Oh yeah, we all set to go for another 6 months." He answered after gathering up his mind once more to get it set on the current state. After they were able to get the last bit of supplies that they required taking longer than expected finding it about 2 hours before they finally let the town taking a trail that lead up through the tree line and valley following the pathway toward their future.

CHAPTER 3

The trip itself was uneventful nothing strange like the morning had gone far from his mind as the only thing that was set on his might with the next few days will going for them hoping nothing else will ruin their time together. The trip up the coasts trail brought them to the edge of a cliff that continued to allow for a beautiful sight as they came to a clearing that was small enough for the two to fit comfortably enough that they decided to enjoy it.

Taking that opportunity to stop for lunch sitting down about 10 feet from the edge, they enjoyed the view while snacking on some hot sandwiches that they had already packed for an easy snack. Looking out across the water which had been covered by an ocean of mist which started to clear enough for a huge structure to suddenly allow about 2 miles of the coast to open up to the viewpoint.

Standing out surrounding by miles of ocean atop of four metal pillars that rose up from the sea and abyss holding up the structure about 700 feet up in the air, a platform lay secure in the air holding up several buildings that lay connected together. Although far out there were defiantly of different sizes than what it seemed.

"I didn't realize that they started drilling off shore." John said nodding to the strange structure in the distance allowing for Linda to turn in the direction after finishing her sandwich.

~Ruth Baker was saying something about a huge research project company sat that up to study the shelf activity near the island. ~ Linda answered tossing the sealed bag into her baggage to be taken care of. ~I guess they have been at it for months now. Although I am not sure what they can learn what everyone already knows? ~

"Hmmm, I hope their presence won't interrupt our nights together. I have something really special that I want to show you tonight." He said putting away his own garbage. The news brought a smile to her face as she moved over to him wrapping her arms around him kissing him deeply allowing him to truly understand that she loved him.

~That's good, because there has been something else that I have been waiting to share with you for so long.~ She said not breaking the kiss with the ability of talking without her mouth allowed her mouth to continue the kiss uninterrupted.

"Why not reveal it now?" he asked as the way that she said that it peaked his interest enough that he wanted to find out what she had hidden away from him. She offered a giggle shaking her head waving a finger at him with a smirk.

~Unless you want to share what you got right now? ~ She teased him.

"I bet that my surprise is bigger than yours." He responded with his own as she cocked an eyebrow in the process. ~I honestly don't that. Let's wait until nightfall and enjoy a nice swim together. I want the timing to be just right. ~

"All right, maybe we should walk slow so we can get there right at night so we can dive into the water and worry about setting up camp later." He answered slinging the bag over his shoulder once more rolling his eyes in the process.

~Trust me, after you get the news that I plan on giving you are going to be breathless.~ she answered giving him a wink as she started down the path with him in tow.

"What? Are you pregnant?" he asked as a tease almost however if she said that she was at least he got the ring and planned on proposing to her by the nights end. She didn't break a step although she threw a smile and a wink added to his suspicions before continuing on down the path.

It took about 3 hours to get to the campsite it would've been a much easier trip if the path hadn't been scaled over with cliffs and rough terrain that went through the beach area and forest that slowed their progress down to a careful walk. Finally coming to a nicely settled point that was surrounded by trees on one side with the ocean and a walkway that lead into the water where anyone could jump in whenever they wanted.

John found himself nearly dying in anticipation of Linda's news as he barely set down the pack wanting to get down to work however he remembered that Linda wasn't about to break the surprise so easily. While she gathered up the firewood and stones for the fire, he went about setting up the tent with the entrance to the tent facing the ocean.

In no time at all, the campsite was all set up ready to go for the night allowing for the two to sit down at the fire that was burning brightly offering warmth and some light to the dying night fall. Bringing out the food for a nice dinner that should allow for the couple to enjoy the sunset before the two would begin to reveal their surprises to each other.

Snuggling up against each other to keep warm, John wrapped his arms around her drawing her close to his body placing the plates down in a pot for cleaning later the two continued to watch the sun slowly set allowing nothing to disturb their evening.

Just as the sun finally set a timer that either had set with both wanting to tell the other as soon as the sun dropped down behind the horizon allowing the stars to come to life signaling the end of their old life and the start of the new one.

"So did you want to take the swim now or reveal our surprises first?" John asked looking down at Linda being the first to break the silence. With her heart racing and her breathing slowed enough as she looked up at him offering a sweet smile before answering.

~How about you reveal yours first? My surprise can wait until you reveal your surprise. ~ She answered figuring best as she wasn't quite sure if John could take such a shocker. John nodded once more before pulling away from her causing her to look at him as he reached into his pocket of his jacket pulling out a small glamour box that caused Linda to look at it confuse. That was until his thumb the latch allowing the box's lid to open to reveal the ring inside in which caused a surprise and delight look on her face to spread.

"Linda Silvers, since I have known you and you have come into my life you have filled up the place in my heart that needed to be filled. I would be honored if you would agree to marry me and become my wife." He asked taking her hand stopping him from placing the ring on her finger quite yet until she answered his question.

She seemed to sit there in shock and delight as she looked from the ring to him about a dozen times before she threw herself at him wrapping her arms around his body squeezing his body tightly kissing him deeply. ~YES! I WILL MARRY YOU, JOHN! ~

Caught by his own surprise by her reaction plus her strength made him cough and laugh in delight as he returned the kiss as she clawed at his shirt and pants. She stopped herself as she looked at him in the eye as she let out a breath as she realized that it was time for her to reveal her own surprise. ~Now it's time to reveal my surprise. ~

Standing up once more, she slowly pulled off her loose fitting clothing to reveal a lose skin string bikini that hugged her form like her clothing allowing her clothes to drop into a pile at her feet. Getting up on his elbows allowing his eyes to fixate on her form which seemed to glow as she started toward the water's edge backing up to the edge before stopping before she would walk off the deck.

~Go ahead and remove your clothing then join me in the water...your surprise will be waiting for you, love. ~ She said before allowing her body to fall backwards into the water disappearing quickly into the dark water. As soon as she disappeared from his sight, John went about removing his own clothing leaving only his swim trunks that he had gone about putting on before they left. He jumped to his feet and raced down the dock barely stopping as he jumped into the water trying to aim for the same area that Linda had disappeared into.

A sharp chill went up his spine along with his body however the pain didn't stay in his mind long before he began paddling toward a spec that sat in the void of darkness. Allowing his eyes to adjust enough, John found the blur was a humanoid form hanging motionless in the water, coming closer to the figure he found it was Linda who seemed almost in shock not moving a muscle.

However the water thrummed with energy as the blue color seemed to grow brighter and larger with Linda's form seemed to change and grow bigger in the process. Her body began to grow to at least 6 foot in no time at all to a point where her body opened up to allow for a full figure displayed before him with the string bikini slowly pulling away from her crotch and breasts revealing everything to him. With her eyes closed allowing her skin to change color.

Changing from a pink/peach like color it slowly changed to a light hue blue color as if she had been exposed to ice, that covered her front side of her body from crotch to her breasts that had already started growing larger than before. The pink nipple that sat on top of each breast lost its flesh hue turning a dark blue to look like her belly blue hue. Her bikini bottom and top dropped away from her form allowing for it to continue to change unchallenged as the rest of her skin became snow white growing along the blue outline of her belly and mid-section. With her arms stretching outward becoming almost to the point in which she could wrap her arms around him twice, stopping at one point however her fingers continued to grow becoming almost swollen and growing bigger to act as wings almost.

Further down her feet became a touch bigger with the sight of webs between them but she would be able to walk upright in possible on earth.

From behind her about her rear was, a thick sprout shot out from her rear forming an almost paddle like tail forked out with twin flippers on either side of it. Her body began to rotate around showing her back to him allowing John to see six spines with the dark blue shooting out of her back while two spikes like forms came out from the corners of her eyes.

Once more her body rotated enough to allow for him to face her front as he was able to see that her face had taken on a beak like appearance. With that her body had stopped changing and a series of bubbles started to float up from her nostrils signaling that she was alive. With a sudden snap, her eyes snapped open with the final changes be revealed enough they had become bigger.

~Surprise, love.~ she said suddenly causing John to let out a sudden burst of air from his lungs that he had been holding causing him claw at his throat signaling that he was having problems breathing coming to realize that he wouldn't survive long enough to break the surface for fresh air. Linda caught the frantic motion that her mate/soon to be husband made at his throat causing her shoot off toward him aiming her body up and underneath him allowing him to hold on to her neck as her own arms wrapped around his body holding him snuggly to her body as she quickly approached the surface.

Breaking the surface of the water and shooting up a bit before allowing her arms to fling open to allow for her to glide to the campsite where the campfire was slowly dying. John found himself coughing gasping for breath as Linda in her new form slowly dropped to the ground allowing her body to cover his to keep him warm. Bending her head down, she pressed her beak to his lips pushing in some fresh air into his lungs causing his heart rate to slow enough to normal nearly ready to puke as the foul smell of fish left a terrible taste in his mouth.

Allowing her beak to leave his mouth, Linda pulled back looking down at him with concern as John looked up at her in surprise and shock at what he had seen. "Linda? Is that really you?"

The creature smiled once more licking at John's lips and cheek offering some sort of purring that allowed him to relax somewhat. ~Yes it is me, love. You see this is a smaller form of my original form. You may know my species as Lugia. ~

"LUGIA! But how is this possible?" he asked allowing his hands to run up along her form still thinking it a magic trick. "You are real...this is amazing."

~I took human form a long time ago and knew your sister's boyfriend since we were kids however I never revealed my secret because I was afraid of how people may react to my appearance. But when I met you and saw how you treated Pokémon, my love for you has grown ever since. I know I should've told you sooner however I wasn't sure of how you would take it...maybe I should've told you long ago before showing you. You nearly drowned back there thankfully I was able to get you to the surface before you did. I am sorry about that. ~ She said looking down at him sadly the sadness clearly playing across her new face.

During that time John found himself considering things now that he had warmed up enough that he stopped shivering before reaching up with his free hands drawing Linda's head to his face as he offered smile. "Linda...even though you may look different now, in your eyes I see the same beautiful young lady that I met so long ago and have fallen in love with. You know even though it may have ended with my life just a minute ago, but when you rescued me you showed me that even under the skin you are still the same lovely woman that I have fallen in long ago."

~Oh Joh-~ she started to say something stopping in mid-sentence collapsing off to the side causing John to jump up moving to her side with concern when he felt a sharp pain in his neck as he found his surroundings slowly turn dark the world spinning all around him before he collapsed on to Linda's unconscious body.

CHAPTER 4

Being thrown on to cold hard steel floor shook John awake coming awake in a start scrambling around finding that himself was in his swim trunks in a dimly lit room. Scrambling away from the middle of the room, he scooted to one of the corners as he tried to look around trying to find Linda. "LINDA! LINDA!"

~JOHN! Are you all right? Where are you? ~ Her voice called out just as loud allowing John to breathe a sigh of relief.

"I am not sure; I am in a small room dimly lit. Where are you? Are you okay?" he asked hoping that he was loud enough for her to hear him.

~I am not sure myself where I am...I am in a room just like the one you just described. I am a bit sore although I think I will be fine. They have me strapped down to the floor, I can't move or nothing. I guess they know that my attacks can get us out of here. Can you move? ~ She asked sounding more concern about him that herself.

"Yes, they didn't tie me up yet again I don't think they feel me as a threat like you are, my love." He answered feeling soothed about the fact that she was all right. Trying to stretch his arms outward, he found that his arm was bandaged above a vein indicating that blood has been drawn from his arm while he was out. "Has anyone taken any kind of blood from you that you can see, love?"

Turning her head as little as she could with her body movements Linda went about examining her form trying to find any indication that her blood had been drawn however it was really tough to see however she felt a dull pain on her body that gave her some indication that she had been experimented on.

~I think so, John. There is a dull pain but its present that's for sure. Any idea what they are looking for or who they may be? ~ She asked trying to relax enough not to much stress to be on her body now.

"No idea, my love. I didn't even see who had hit us." He answered letting out a sigh as a thought hit him with wonder. "I wonder why they took both of us. I mean they could've just taken you and left me there...although I doubt that I could ever live without you."

~Indeed when they saw me they probably thought we both were Lugia's and it's better to take the chance and grab both if it was true. Do you think you can get out of your cell to get us out of here? ~

"Not without any kind of help that's for sure. But I will try my best to get out of here and get to you I swear to you." He promised her as he felt helpless almost as he tried to figure out what he was going to do.

In a different room located near the cells were located sitting around a long table with several scientist, medical doctors, and shady characters that remained silent as the head of the project allowed the head of science and doctor went about explaining how through their research they have found that the anthro like creature that had been captured was truly a Lugia.

However many found themselves upset about the fact that the human wasn't another meaning that they weren't happy about it but they allowed the research teams to explain the success with the single capture of such a Pokémon to drill into the shady characters minds before the leader to address the group.

" "So now that we have captured her and have her under our control, we can breed a successful team of Lugia for our own purposes." The leader presented with an evil smile to cross across his face.

"There is a problem with that, sir." The chief medical officer for the operations interrupted the lead before he continues clearing her throat. "One thing is that this Lugia is the only one that we have had been able to find and capture, we won't be able to breed her to create off spring properly."

"That isn't a problem as we have found that a Ditto who is asked to change into a male Lugia should still be able to produce a reliable offspring for us." A scientist answered making sure to reassure the financial parties there at the table.

"Second the blood tests of both of the captives have revealed something that you all need to consider before you proceed with your plans for her."

Pacing back and forth in his cell with concern and rage racing through his mind, John tried so many ways to get out of the cell yet nothing worked during that time. During the pacing, he found himself having stopped in the middle of the room finding that he wasn't alone in the cell.

"Who's there?" he whispered not loud enough to worry Linda but hopefully loud enough for the figure to hear. There wasn't any response for several minutes before he could make out a single shadow became apparent in the shadows, his features hidden away by the shadows.

"Do not fret, I do not mean you or Linda any harm. I have come here to help you both to get out of here." The figured answered in an almost silent tone.

"How? You are trapped in here as much as we are." John asked in confusion.

"Right now I am not here. However that is not important right now, what you must realize that whoever caught both of you have people that work for them that aren't willing to kill or experiment on either one of you. Given that they may be able to get you two out of here." The figure answered never moving from the shadows.

"What am I to do as I am not a fighter?" John asked not wanting to sound like a wimp.

"Then use your skills and head and you will find the job much easier than you may expect." With that the figure disappeared.

"Are you positive that these results are correct and nothing has been tampered with?" the leader asked drilling the medical/doctor about the results that she had presented to the group officially delaying the departure.

"Positive, sir. My team ran the blood and tissue samples that were collected and the tests came back positive." She answered confidentially.

"Is there any way that you can removed it or get rid of it immediately?" he asked her quickly wanting to defuse any kind of problem.

"No! I won't risk Lugia's life just so you can take over the world." She answered with aggression in her voice and determination about the answer.

"Sir," the team leader for the science team spoke up, a man that only craved money than life itself, "my team can go about removing the thing without killing the Pokémon creature."

"You can't! You know very well that a procedure like that usually kills the patient or causes too much mental trauma for her!" the doctor cried in anguish.

"Oh please. You know that's a 50/50 chance of either happening." The scientist threw back at her before turning to the leader. "Sir, allow my team to perform the procedure and the Lugia will be ready for breeding by tomorrow with no harm done to her ability to mate."

The man seemed to care more about world domination than the risk of life. "Get your team together and start the procedure as soon as you are ready. Doctor, you and your team are no longer needed here. Get your things packed and leave this facility immediately."

Seething in terror and shock from the news and how things were going so badly before the doctor rose to her feet motioning for her team to follow her out of the room not even acknowledging anyone else. After the team got out of the room, the doctor turned toward the team behind her.

"We can't just let them to continue with their plans." One of the assistants commented in a hush voice.

"Agreed, it will take them sometime to get the equipment and supplies together so it should give us enough time to get them out of here." Another threw in.

"Yes but how do we go about getting them out of here without the guards noticing. Unless she can turn into a human by will, we are stuck." Another replied.

"Let's get them out of their cells and find out what to do then." The doctor answered as they made their way to the medical lab. "Get a cutting torch and the tranqulizer gun, this way we can knock out any guards that we come across."

"And the torch for cutting off the bounds that hold her down." The assistant answered as the group quickly went to work getting the needed items for the operation. Already the men were going about working getting things set up as guards were moving about in the hall-way.

CHAPTER 5

Sitting with his back against the cell wall and his eyes closed trying to think about getting the two of them out of there when there came a series of thuds against the steel wall causing him jump slightly. An eerie silence seemed to run through the hall as nothing else happened until a series of tumblers that could be heard through the room before the door was pulled open shining a harsh light into the room on his face causing him to draw his hand up trying to shield his eyes before a shadow block the light for him.

"Come to get rid of us huh?" John asked letting out a final sigh knowing that the time may be near.

"Not exactly, professor. It's time to get both of you out of here." A female voice said as two people moved into the room grabbing him under the armpits helping him to his feet before being hustled out of the room into the blindly light causing him to wince in pain.

It took him a bit to get his sight to clear enough to allow him to see who his saviors were. He was amazed by the sight that greeted him as they weren't police officers or military personnel but people dressed in white jackets carrying a single action rifle under ones arm. The other held what looked like a cutting torch in another hand.

"Come on, we need to get you both out of here before they take either one of you away." The doctor with the rifle under arm informed him as she didn't allow him to ask any questions moving toward the other cell door. The sound of heavy footsteps fast approaching the hall caused John to realize that their time being free was going to be short lived if something doesn't stop or slow down the fast approaching whoevers soon.

"Get her out of the cell, I will see about slowing down anyone near us." He quickly informed the others as he grabbed one of the torches from another doctor as he headed for the door at the end of the hall-way before they could argue with him; John was already half way to the doorway.

"Get to getting her out of there, I will cover him." The doctor said reloading the rifle taking up a position near the door while John went to work on the door panel. He may not be the best of a mechanic that went about disabling the doors but he had his luck with bad luck of getting shocked a number of times when he tried fixing something.

Quickly the others unlocked the second door as the sounds of the heavy thuds had awaken Linda who had found herself growing tired lately with the reason she already knew but had yet to tell John. Snapping her eyes open figuring on the worst, she glared at the door way as two humanoids appeared in the door way. Not speaking at all, the two went about working on the straps that held her in place quickly as possible cutting through the bounds.

~Who are you? Where's John? ~ She asked frantically as the final strap was removed allowing her arms and legs to stretch out. Taking a brief second to allow her muscles to stretch out before climbing to her feet looking down at her so called rescuers.

"He's fine, he's making sure that we don't have any kind of surprise," one of the assistants informed her before turning toward the doorway. "She's free, doctor. Now how do you plan on getting us out of here?"

"Still working on that." She answered as John sparked off a circuit causing the door to slam shut before the group pulled back to where the group regrouped together. John instantly went to Linda wrapping her up into his arms as he held her close where she returned the hug with the relief.

"Now how do we get out here?" the doctor asked. "It won't take them long before they break through those doors."

~How thick are the walls on these cells? ~ Linda inquired looking at the walls that were in her cell.

"About a foot or so thick but I don't think even our cutting torches could get through that." The doctor answered.

~Then let me try it. Better get out in the hall-way. ~ She said pushing her mate and the others toward the cell door making certain that they well clear before she turned toward the far end wall. ~Better cover your ears this is going to get loud. ~

Turning back to the wall without making sure that they had done so before drawing in a huge breath as a medium size ball began to form in her mouth. As her lungs filled, she didn't hesitate once before releasing the ball slamming it into the wall sending a thunderous explosion sounding throughout the room as dust, metal and debris rain throughout the room as Linda held up her arm and huge hand blocking the debris from injuring her body any further before allowing the hand to drop away. The others stepped into the room finding that the attack had worked leaving a good size hole to open air.

"Well that was a good idea, now how are we going to get to the island? It's got to be cold water down there to even consider it." The doctor asked pointing out the obvious.

~I can take everyone here back to the island but I am going to need to get into the water to change back into my natural form. ~ Linda answered the question however the comment caused the doctor to step up taking Linda by the elbow causing her to look down at her.

"If that water is indeed cold, the shock to your system could be harmful to you." She told Linda in a hushed voice feeling that Linda should be the one to tell John the news.

~There shouldn't be any worry about that, my fur should keep me protected until I come back and get you guys.~ she answered making sure that the only one to hear the comments were her and the doctor. ~Don't worry, I will be all right. ~

Drawing back amazed on how willing she couldn't argue with such an intelligent creature and the fact that she was the only way to get them out of there left little to argue. "Better hurry before they get through those doors."

Linda smiled once more before she bent down and kissed John once more. ~Don't worry I will be right back. Just keep yourself safe until then. ~

John could only nod as he knew that Linda was tough and the transformation to her complete form shouldn't take that long to do. Backing up to the opening, she allowed herself to fall backward out into open air as she disappeared out of sight within seconds.

It didn't take it long before she disappeared when the sounds of heavy thudding against the steel doors at the end of the hall causing the group to get into the room pulling the door shut behind them just hoping that the guards would figure that only John had escaped not Linda. A sudden crack and spark sounded dull but it gave them the idea that the guards had brought in their own cutting torches cutting their time down a great deal.

Moving away from the door into what little shadows were left choosing to wait to see who would reach them first, the group felt as in the time had slowed to a crawl. Time seemed to tick by allowing them to wait several agonizing minutes before a new noise was heard of voices.

"The human escaped but by the looks of it the creature is still in her cells. Shall we get her to the lab?" one voice asked standing between the two cells with no indication that they were going to check the cell to make sure that she was even there.

"Nah, the boss said that the science team wants to make sure they have all of the equipment before they continue." Another answered; there came a long silence before a huge explosion rocked the rig sending cement dust from the ceiling. "WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?!"

Another explosion hit the rig again sending the group to the ground as Linda or Lugia by the very sight of her caused the group to gape in aw from the sight of her. ~Sorry but I wanted to get some revenge on these guys before I came back. Get on! ~

The group didn't need any more encouragement as they scrambled to get on just as the guards outside the door kicked the door open finding John start toward the opening as the doctor lifted up the rifle to cover him. However she was too late before one of the guards began firing on John one of the bullets hitting him squarely in the foot sending him flying into the gap between the floor and Linda.

~JOHN! ~ Linda cried as she drove toward the deck with the doctors clutching on to the spikes on her back. The free fall seemed to last forever before John found himself being caught by Linda as he wrapped his arms around her neck as he found himself slipping into unconsciousness because of the pain but he didn't stop holding on to Linda as the darkness took over.

Sometime later, he awoke finding himself in his own bed wrapped warmly in a thick wool blanket, with Linda laying down beside him back in her human form with her arms wrapped around him pulling him in close to her. Looking down at her, John couldn't help but smile as he slid on to his side as he wrapped his own arms around her kissing her softly which seemed to draw her out of her light yet beautiful slumber.

She tilted her head up to meet his kiss with an even deeper one of her own before she opened her eyes. ~How are you feeling, love? ~

"A bit sore, what happened?" he asked her as she offered a smile.

~You lose consciousness right after I caught you, so I took us back to the cabin. Lucky enough that it was night time by the time we got here so no one actually saw me when I landed. The doctors went about bringing you inside while I went back into the water and changed back to human form. The doc was able to remove the bullet that hit your leg and stitched you up wrapping your leg in bandages that was 12 hours ago. She examined you after she had withdrawn the bullet to make sure that there wasn't any infection, although she didn't find any they decided to stay to make sure that one didn't develop later. The group is sleeping in the family room right now. ~ She answered explaining the events that had happened since he passed out.

"I should thank them before they leave for everything that they have done for us. First saving us from whoever had captured us and then saving my life by removing that bullets." He answered as he laid back on the bedding as Linda smiled once more cuddling up to him. He wrapped an arm around her drawing her in close to his body as he let out a sigh. "What a couple of days huh? You sure as heck know how to throw in surprises although I wish we could've had a day without any kind of interruption."

~Aye, however the surprises aren't quite over yet, my love. ~ She answered biting her tongue as she fought back from saying it outright. ~I'm pregnant...with our first child. ~

Now that was something that drove the nail home for surprises as he gaped in surprise even more from finding out who she truly was. "Okay you better stop springing these surprises on me, my heart can't take this much longer."

Linda giggled as she got more comfortable in John's arms once more feeling more secure with him than she had ever been now.

CHAPTER 6

5 months later

The sounds of waves crashing on to the beach brought a calm sound to the group that had been gathered on the beach in the warm air as they sat in rows of 7 with 5 people per row. All were dressed impressing entered in tuxedoes and well formal dresses; they waited for the ceremony to begin. Up front of the group stood John who himself was dressed appropriately with his brother in law standing next to him with Artemis Blaine, his uncle and gym leader for a gym in the region, on the other side.

Bethany and the three doctors that Linda had chosen for this occasion acted for the bridesmaids began coming up the middle of the rows finally dressed in blue gowns that had been the choice of Linda's favorite color. A little girl about the age of 5 walked behind the group dropping pedals on the ground as a final figure stepped out on to the beach that really caught everyone's attention as the group turned toward the end.

Finely dressed in a long silk gown that flowed out behind her as she moved fitting snuggly against her form, a choice of her own choosing that had surprised many but no one really questioned her about it, with a long veil drawn down over her face hiding her true beauty from everyone that looked upon her. In her hands held a bundle of white daisies freshly picked added to the amazing sight before the crowd as Linda approached John a smile hidden under the veil that he didn't notice until she reached him and pulled the veil up away from her face.

Sitting in the front with one of the researchers that were keeping an eye on her since she was so young yet neither John nor Linda wanted her to miss out on this occasion, Lena sat in the researchers arms confused almost by what was going on because she was still too young to fully understand what was going on. Dressed in a little blue outfit of her own that her mother and father had gone about picking out for her for this occasion, she looked almost like her mother. Although her hair was an auburn like color that reflecting just like her father, she seemed like a jewel of her own making both parents proud of her as soon as she came into the world.

Although the gestation for Lena was only 5 months since she was conceived which would concern many doctors if they didn't know about Linda being who she was, the doctors that had helped the group escape helped in delivering the child so none of the doctors would know about her than the fact that she was a normal child.

Within minutes of her joining John at the altar did the priest start the ceremony which was one thing that both of them had looked forward to from the day that she had agreed to marry him. The time seemed to tick by slowly before the priest finally allowed the two to kiss with love finally as both were overjoyed by the event as the wait was finally over.

The couple turned toward the gathered group as the priest closed the bible before raising his hands. "May I present John and Linda Blaine?"

At those words the crowd clapped welcoming the new couple to the community with love as both stood before the crowds proud as anyone could be to having found their soul mate in this life.

7 years later-Blaine Home

Stepping out on to the porch overlooking the beach clutching a cup of lemonade in his hand, John watched his children play in the waves making mischievous trouble either dunking each other under the water or splashing each other with water. John found himself chuckling as he slipped into the hanging family swing that sat on the patio having a good view of watching the kids as they played.

It had only been six years since he and Linda had been but it seemed like yesterday that the wedding had happened. And in that time they have had at least 4 children in that time, to one point he would always jokingly tell William and Bethany that she was like an Arcanine in heat at times. They never did let on who she truly was as John figured that he would allow Linda to tell them whenever she was ready to reveal her secret. In the meantime both families had welcome her into the family warmly making her feel more at home on land at times than the sea.

Since the increase of the number of children, John went about adding on some extra rooms for the kids adding another room just for Linda a bit larger than any other room. The room was set up as a hobby room where she could go to be by herself or with the children or with John when the children were in bed. Set up with a port where it overlapped a bay where the water came into land that won't interfere with water supplies for the town, this allowed the two to go swimming at night without really leaving the house.

However that didn't mean she didn't enjoy a midnight swim once in a while with John joining in on it on more than one occasion. It was at that point that she conceived their second child was in Anthro form which made John think that the child wouldn't be born as a human but that of a Lugia, boy was he surprise when the child was born, a male this time, was born as a human. Although he figured that the children would be able when they became older would have the same ability to change form like their mother.

The sound of footsteps coming out of the house drew his attention to the door as Linda came out wearing a sexy looking dress that showed off her curves that always caused him to grow an erection at points that made him groan because at times it was either when the kids were nearby or in public. Honestly, John figured that she did that on purpose.

"I swear that you dress like that just to drive me insane, love." He commented to her as she joined him on the swing snuggling into his arms as they took the time to enjoy the embrace. Linda offered a giggle as she turned her gaze to the children as they continued to play.

~Maybe but you have your own teases, you know. Just wanted to let you know that dinner is nearly ready. ~ She said nibbling on his neck.

"You know at this rate we are going to need to skip dinner." He countered causing Linda to allow a grin to spread across her face.

"Well then it should get you in the mood for later tonight. ~ She answered standing up away from his embrace as she called out. ~KIDS! Dinner in 5 minutes! Come inside and get cleaned up!"

"Okay, mom!" a series of answers as the kids finished up their play before heading out of the waves toward the house.

"Wipe your feet before you go in!" John added as he always found himself having to clean up after the kids at times.

"Yes, dad!" several of them groaned as they raced by into the house. Linda joined him once more on the swing as they watched the sunset on another day remembering the day that started their adventure at the same location ended on the sun setting in the same day.
