Painful Memories
Painful Memories
A tear fell from Ruby's eye as she watched the rememberizer. An image of Hiro's face was showing on it, his heartwarming smile seemed willing to weather whatever storm lay ahead. Ruby saw herself land on his shoulder. She leaned her body into his head and enjoyed his closeness.
Several tears splashed on the glass, snapping ruby out of her memory. The rememberizer faded and became dormant again. She put it back behind Nall's chair and laid down in the center of the room, sobbing lightly to herself. "Why can't I let him go?" She sobbed heavily. "I've accepted the fact that he left, and found a friend in Nall, but I still can't seem to stop crying. He's happy, I should be happy with that." She started crying heavily.
She rested her head on her paws, trying to stop crying. She felt a soft object rub up against her cheek, and opened her eyes. "Nall?" She whimpered.
"I could hear you crying from down the hallway." He kissed her forehead gently. "What's wrong?"
She sat up, tears still pouring from her eyes. She sniffled. "I miss Hiro. And the more I think about him, the more I feel like I'm being unfaithful to you." She started crying again.
Nall rubbed his face against hers again, wrapping his paw around her and placing it on her shoulder. "Ruby, he's gone. You will have to learn to accept that."
"I have..." She sobbed into his cheek.
"Then why are you crying. I know you loved him, but he left some time ago. You need to stop torturing yourself."
"For some reason I can't let it go. I loved him. I can't change that. Don't make me feel even more alone than I already am."
Nall stepped back and looked her in the eyes. "You are not alone. I am here, I love you. I will never leave you."
"Oh, Nall." Ruby pushed him over, knocking onto his back. Placing her paws on either side of him, she rubbed her face affectionately on the brown patch of fur on his chest.
Nall wanted to struggle free, but put decided against it. He placed his paws on her body gently, embracing her. She moved up, placing her head next to his. "Please don't leave me." She whispered in his ear.
"I would never leave you. I love you." He whispered back in hers.
She moved back and rested her head on his chest again. She turned her head, pressing her ear to it. She listened to his heartbeat.
"Ruby..." He stopped when he realized that she had fallen asleep. He sighed. "Have a good rest Ruby." He rubbed her head with his paw and closed his eyes and rested his head down on the floor. It wasn't very comfortable, but he didn't want to disturb Ruby, who was sleeping soundly at this point.
A tear fell from her eye and dripped onto his fur. Its warmth was a reminder to Nall about what he should be for Ruby. He laid motionless, and eventually fell asleep. He was awakened by a soft moan. His eyes slowly opened. Ruby was still lying motionless on his chest. He lifted his head slowly, feeling a sharp pain in his neck. 'I shouldn't have slept on this hard floor...' he thought to himself. His eyes focused. The room had grown darker, but he could still tell that the sun had not set yet.
He gently stroked Ruby's head. She rolled her head onto her chin and opened one eye slightly, still tearing.
"We should get up." He said, his paw still resting just behind her ear.
She stood up slowly. Nall sensed her unwillingness to get up. Her body trembled slightly.
Nall rolled onto his stomach and stood up. He approached her and kissed her on the neck. "Please, try to cheer up. I can't bear to see you like this."
Ruby put on a hollow smile and turned to him, which immediately faded. "I'm sorry. I just can't today. It's not that I'm not happy you are here, far from it, but I still can't help missing Hiro for some reason."
"He was your first love. I know it won't be easy, and the pain will never truly leave, but you have to be strong, for his sake if nobody else's. Can you imagine how he'd feel if he saw you like this?"
"It's his fault anyway...stupid Lucia..." She became very angry.
"Ruby, this isn't like you." Nall began to feel afraid of her, and backed off.
Ruby turned to him, wanting to apologize. He turned and left before she could say anything.
She looked down toward her front paws, tears falling from her eyes again. "Not only have I lost my first love, now I'm about to lose my second." She was frustrated and angry at herself. She put her paw to the spot behind her ear, where Nall had been touching minutes before. "Why does everything bad seem to happen to me?"
Her head began to hurt. She flopped down on the floor and tried to fall asleep again. Her thoughts kept flashing between Hiro and Nall. Her racing mind kept her from sleeping. She rolled onto her side and curled up tightly, hoping to block the images from her mind.
Her mind suddenly stopped racing. She stood up slowly. She couldn't see anything, save for herself. Everything seemed to be pitch black.
She heard a familiar voice to her left. "Ruby..."
She turned to see Hiro kneeling down, seemingly beckoning her.
"This isn't like you Ruby..." Nall appeared to her other side.
She turned around to see him, looking concerned, but loving. His gaze, although troubled, felt warming to look at.
She wanted to go to one of them, but turned back and forth through indecision. She stood there, her jaw open.
She heard an evil cackle. She turned to see nothing. The cackle echoed through the surrounding area, it was growing closer. Somehow she could sense an evil presence approaching quickly. She turned toward Nall. She then turned toward Hiro, who seemed to be beckoning her all the more. She ran towards Hiro and leapt into his arms, only to fall straight through his body.
Turning around, she saw Nall's body being consumed by the Darkness. She watched in horror as he struggled futilely against the avalanche of shadow. His paw was the last thing to disappear under the sheet of darkness.
She shed a tear, but quickly turned her attention to Hiro with a smile. Hiro's attention however seemed to have shifted elsewhere. He was now holding Lucia in his arms. They looked at each other with a smile, not noticing her. The faded from view. She was left sitting alone in the darkness again, her smile quickly faded into despair. She was suddenly approached by herself.
She looked at her double inquisitively. The double's expression turned to anger almost instantly. The second ruby raised her paw and brought it down across Ruby's face. Ruby raised her paw to the area she'd been slapped.
Her eyes watered and quickly narrowed. "What was that for!?" She shouted at her copy.
The impostor Ruby slapped her again.
"Tell me! What was I supposed to do!?"
Her question was answered with a third slap.
"I panicked. I didn't have time to think."
The impostor finally spoke. "You shouldn't have to. If you'd open your eyes for a moment you'd see everything you've been missing!"
Ruby backed down, frightened and defeated.
The impostor rewarded the action with another slap to the face. "You coward! Do you always run away from your problems?"
"I'm scared and...and lonely." Ruby began sobbing.
"You had your chance. You threw it away for something you knew you could never have."
"If you'd just give me a second chance!" Ruby pleaded.
"That was your second chance! Just because you made a mistake does not mean that you always get another chance. If you want it so badly, make another chance."
Ruby curled her paws in frustration. "I don't know how." She sobbed meekly.
"Then your love is meaningless, and he is lost to you forever." With that, the pseudo-Ruby disappeared into nothingness.
"I've learned my lesson." She shouted into the darkness. "I won't make the same mistake again. I want another chance."
Everything seemed to play in reverse. Hiro and Lucia, Nall, the darkness, then everything was dark again.
"Ruby..." She heard to her side. She turned to see Hiro beckoning her again.
"This isn't like you Ruby..."
She turned to see Nall behind her. She turned to Hiro. "I'm sorry Hiro. You have Lucia now. I can accept that."
She turned around and, without a second thought, dashed toward Nall. She rubbed her cheek against his. "I'm sorry. I feel better now."
"I'm happy." Nall whispered into her ear.
She turned to look at Hiro. He had his arm wrapped around Lucia. They were both watching her, smiling.
Everything slowly faded white.
Ruby's eyes shot open. She jumped to her feet and ran towards the door. Night had fallen, but the darkness did little to slow her progress. She knew exactly where to find him.
She stopped at the entrance of the playground to see Nall sitting in the grass, staring up at the Blue Star. "Nall!" She shouted excitedly, running to him.
He slowly turned to her. "Huh?" His face momentarily turned to panic as Ruby tackled him onto the grass. "You know, there are more gentle ways of getting my attention."
Ruby smiled and laughed. "Yes, but this is more fun."
Nall pushed on her shoulder, forcing her to roll onto her back. He immediately stepped over her before she could react. "I'm glad to see you are back to normal." He stared at her momentarily. "You know, from this perspective, you are kind of cute."
Ruby scoffed. "And I'm not from any other?"
Nall stepped back, getting off of her. He smiled.
Ruby tilted her head down. "What is it?"
Nall stood motionless. "You look even more beautiful from this perspective."
Ruby rested her paws on her stomach. "Oh?"
Nall suddenly felt his body warm up drastically.
Ruby chuckled. "Nall, you pervert."
Nall shook his head. "What?" He felt his penis brush up against his stomach. "Oh." He said, mildly embarrassed, but wanting Ruby to accept him.
"Come here Nall." Ruby said happily.
Nall stepped over her again. His penis brushed over the soft fur on her underbelly, causing him to moan contently.
Ruby chuckled. "That tickled."
Nall leaned back and allowed it to rub against her belly a second time.
She giggled.
"You liked that, huh?"
She nodded happily.
Nall lowered his body, sandwiching his penis between their stomachs. He began slowly rubbing his body against hers. Her soft fur felt wonderful on his exposed flesh.
Ruby raised her head and slid her tongue over the side of Nall's face. "You know this will make a mess of my fur."
Nall lowered his head, pinning hers to the ground. He rested his chin next to hers and whispered into her ear. "Well then...we will have...a fun time cleaning it up." He managed to say between his light pants of pleasure. He felt her kiss him on the cheek as he continued to slide up and down her body.
Ruby enjoyed the feeling of Nall's member probing the space between them. She loved the way it glided over her fur. Just the sensation of his touch was a feeling she enjoyed...a feeling she wouldn't trade for all of Lunar.
Nall could feel his climax approaching quickly. His movements slowed dramatically. He strained to hold it back.
Ruby turned her head closer to his ear. "It's ok, let go."
He kissed her sincerely before picking up his speed again. The soft warmth of her fur made him almost feel guilty for what he was about to do. Nall released his seed onto their stomachs. The gooey fluid seeped into their fur as Nall continued to rub against her underside. His movements slowed and he exhaled in fatigue. He raised his head to see Ruby looking at him affectionately. Her beautiful eyes reflected the light of the Blue Star, amplifying the radiance of her already lovely face.
"Oh, Nall..." she said happily. She looked at him, smiling contently. Her face showed pure innocence.
They chuckled and shared a deep passionate kiss.
Nall stood up and stepped off of her. He licked his semen from his stomach before gazing upon her. He looked over her underside. To his surprise, his fluids did not diminish her beauty. The small wet spot on her stomach, to him, made her look younger and more helpless. He wanted time to freeze so he could forever glimpse upon her elevated beauty.
He saw her breathing softly. Her eyes were closed. He walked around to her face. "Good night, my love." He kissed her on the forehead before lying down nearby and falling asleep.
