Chapter I: The Greatest Warrior

Kale's eyes burned with humiliation. His arms were sore and weak from the long struggle. His body felt worn as it had only done after the hardest of conquests... he had never felt so low. He had been called the Great Cat for his prowess in battle, and now he stood... defeated by a female! Shame welled within his stomach like dark water, and his head felt as though a heavy weight had been placed upon him.

"I do not deserve to live..." he whispered, his voice harsh from heavy breathing.

The female who had just floored him with a clever move gave a purr and narrowed her eyes, as though she were receiving mother's milk. She was enjoying his humiliation... reveling in her victory. And why should she not? She stood over him in the circle of stones that served as their arena. The Rite of Reddened Leaves was done, but this year's festival would be the strangest.

"I am our greatest warrior now," Leorina, the female, cooed. She was dressed in a short skirt of animal furs, half a dozen dyed bracelets of woven flax around each wrist. Her hair was long, nearly to the ground, and was woven through with three separate braids, each of which had lilies and orchids tied through. Many of the flowers were crushed, and her beautiful copper fur was caked with dust and sweat. Her tail swished back and forth deliciously, and her feline ears perked up in boast. She was the chieftan's daughter, born under a strange sign.

Kale's ears folded back, his tail trapped beneath his body. He, too, was covered in sweat. He was a simple warrior, and he lacked the showy accessories of Leorina's ceremonial garb. He wore a loincloth made of the furs of animals that he had killed by his own spear. His heavily-scarred body was covered in short, light-colored fur. The Great Cat, floored by the chieftan's daughter... no matter how strange her sign, he could not bear this humiliation. Before he knew what had happened, before he could even react to his own whims, instinct took over. He rose with rage, his fist whirring for Leorina's face. The crowd, moments ago cheering, fell to stunned silence. A part of his sanity held true, and before Kale struck Leorina he opened his hand to slap her with his palm. The noise was loud, and the blow was so hard that Leroina nearly lost her balance, taking a step backward. She gasped in pain.

Leorina felt an odd haze come over her, and she gave a feminine roar as she dove on top of Kale. Again they wrestled, both tired but engaging with beastly ferocity. Their bodies, his a thick brace of muscle and sinew, hers a graceful stream of glinting fur and flowing grace, performed a dance so rough that heads hit the ground and claws bit into flesh, but neither would stop. Only one stern voice, calling clear over the tumult, ended their rough encounter.

"Stop, the both of you! Kale, Leorina, that is enough!" spake the chieftain. They complied, Leorina with embarrassment and Kale with horror. He realized at last what he had done.

"Stand before me, Kale." The warrior obeyed the chieftain's order, shamefaced. He had struck his opponent, and after she had already won the match! His honor as a warrior was gone.

"Great Cat, have you an excuse for striking my daughter after she defeated you?" Every eye was on Kale, and he felt the weight of their combined stare.

"Chieftain... how could I be so defeated? Any warrior would feel a wound to his pride, and the wounded crocodile thrashes his tail..." Kale mumbled.

"The crocodile is a fool, then. The Great Cat stays his spear when his honor commands, does he not?" The rebuke was strong in the chieftain's voice.

"I... I am deeply sorry... I will make the sacrifices that..." Kale whimpered.

"Your apology is unbecoming a warrior, Kale!" the Chieftain growled, "I would have you whipped with reeds, but it is not my decision what is to be done. I call forth the village elders to order! A warrior has destroyed his honor, and only they may tell us what must be done to appease the spirits."

Kale felt a lump of ice in his chest, an even greater pain than the shame he had felt at losing. He, slayer of a score, Great Cat... called before the village elders. A mere whipping? He would be lucky to keep his house...

Leorina smiled with haughty satisfaction. Her eyes went to Kale, attempting to add to the burden of shame he felt. She had defeated the mightiest warrior in the village in the Rite of the Reddened Leaves. She had obtained the blessing of the village elders to join in the match over Kale's very protests, and she had defeated him. And then he broke his honor to strike her? She hoped that whatever happened to him would be humiliating... and public. She wanted to watch. She had defeated him, and she wanted there to be no doubt.

The elders gathered one by one, dressed in ceremonial robes of woven grass and wearing carved masks representing the spirits of the village. All, even the chieftain, fell on their faces before the elders, reciting the imprecation of spirits before rising again.

"What business must we tend to?" asked the leader of the spirits, a representation of the mighty river-that-brings-fish. He had seen it happen, but the tradition was to lay out the information to ensure fairness.

"This warrior has disgraced his honor," replied the chieftain, "He has been defeated in ceremonial combat, and he bears ill will against the one who defeated him. He has struck the victor in rage. And he has broken his honor against my very daughter, born under the Sign of the Stag, descendant of Tammel-Ah."

"This is serious business. Warrior, what do you say?" asked the river-that-brings-fish.

"I am known as the Great Cat. The people of the village depend on my spear; they love my warrior instincts. Those instincts have driven me to break my honor. I deeply apologize, and I accept my punishment, wise spirits." Kale could barely force the words out through his trembling lips. This couldn't be happening to him... not him...

"Silence, foolish warrior! How ever did you become known as Great Cat? The instincts of a warrior reinforce his honor, they do not destroy it!" Kale withered under the elder's rebuke. Leorina's tail curled deliciously, and her smile only grew. "We now shall decide what is to be done to appease the spirits..."

The elders retreated to throw runes, commune with the spirits and determine what was to happen. Not an eye moved and not a word was spoken... all watched for the spirits in silence, for they knew the gravity of what was happening. If one were to speak, the spirit of Tammel-Ah might mistake him for the accused, and the elders might decree that one worthy of the spirits' wrath as well. The one who hardest battled this urge to speak was Leorina herself... she was so excited that she could hardly keep still. The fight had brought her adrenaline up, and her whole body was tense with excitement. She had won, and her victory would go down in history. Perhaps the elders would even let her take a hand in Kale's whipping.

The elders returned, and Kale was visibly trembling as the river-that-brings-fish spoke. "The spirits have spoken! Warrior, you shall no longer be known as the Great Cat. You need not break your spear, and your title of warrior is not completely lost."

Kale could hardly believe his ears. He had lost his name, perhaps, but he kept his title. He could still be a warrior. Perhaps he would even keep his house.

"However, a great wrong has been done to a descendant of Tammel-Ah. Tammel-Ah is our master, and his spirit is restless because of your foolishness. You have struck one of his descendants. Therefore, for a score of seasons, you shall not be known as warrior, but as servant to Tammel-Ah. You are to be personal slave to his descendant, in all ways. You are to do anything she commands. Any punishment she deems worthy of your action, you shall take it. Any task she burdens you with, you will complete it. You are lower than one of her children. Do you understand?"

Leorina could not believe her ears. She had been disappointed with the first part of the sentence... but the second part! Oh, the second part. She had gained a servant for twenty whole seasons, and the one she defeated was hers to punish and humiliate for that same amount of time! Her gain could not be greater!

Kale's reaction was dismal. He knew that vicious treatment was going to come to him... he had seen it in Leorina's eyes. However, he reaffirmed his acceptance of his punishment to the elders.

"Very well, then," the chieftain spoke, "Kale, you shall keep your house, and your belongings shall stay there. However, you shall be by my daughter's side ever she commands you, and you shall number among her servants. You shall stay in the servant's quarters if she demands, and you shall follow any command she gives. Leorina, he is yours for twenty seasons; after the fifth Rite of the Reddened Leaves from this day, Kale shall be free and again a warrior. Thus the elders have spoken. Now, let's get on with the feast!"

"Hold a moment, father," Leorina said with a low edge on her voice, "I shall join the feast in a moment. I must first relieve myself... come, servant."

Kale's ears flattened to his head, and there was a murmur in the crowd. A descendant of Tammel-Ah never relieved herself on the ground. A servant would collect her leavings in a vessel and it would be disposed of in the river... it appeared that she had chosen Kale.

"A, allow me to fetch a vessel..." Kale stammered. He had not expected her to fall in to commanding him so easily and so suddenly...

"It will not be necessary, servant." Leorina purred dangerously, and lead Kale not to the riverbank, but beneath the great tree. She did not want to lead him away from prying eyes. She would deal with what embarrassment she would feel relieving herself in public. She wanted to prove that she had been absolutely victorious... she wanted to humiliate Kale in front of everyone.

Kale followed dutifully, but pitifully. "Lie down, servant," Leorina commanded. Kale did as bidden. "Lean your back up, and crane your neck just so." Kale grew suspicious, but did as he was bidden. "Open your mouth, servant."

There were murmurs and gasps. Certainly, the descendant of Tammel-Ah had such rights, but they had not been utilized before. Kale hesitated, a look of disgust on his face.

"You are my servant, are you not? I say again, follow my orders, or you shall feel a reed upon your back." Leorina was getting annoyed... she was supposed to be his master! He was supposed to be humble!

Kale hesitated still. He did not relish the thought of whipping, but he had coped with pain before. This was new to him.

"To hells with you, servant! Open your mouth and do what I command or you will never regain your title of warrior! This I swear!" Leorina growled at Kale. Kale had no choice... he relented. He opened his mouth.

Leorina smiled. "Good. Now you will be a good vessel and not let my leavings touch the ground, or Tammel-Ah will be cross with you, and I will deliver to you his wrath. Do you understand?"

Kale grunted miserably. Leorina took up a position, standing either side of Kale's ribs. She lowered herself, placing her hands on her knees, so that she was hanging over his mouth. She looked down at him, smiling viciously, so that she could watch. With a little concentration, she overcame her shyness and a trickle of urine escaped from her nether regions. She moved to aim, spattering a light stream into Kale's mouth. Kale swallowed as directed, and Leorina relaxed. She emptied her bladder into Kale's open mouth, forcing him to gulp to keep up. He had never done this before, and despite his best efforts small streams of Leorina's piss found their way to the ground. Leorina grinned, shaking her bottom as she finished. Kale started to rise.

"Did I give you permission to rise? I am not finished, servant."

Kale's eyes widened with dread. Surely she could not mean...

Leorina lowered herself further until her tail was practically brushing Kale's nose. With a few moments of concentration and effort, she defecated into Kale's mouth. He gagged and nearly coughed it up, but he managed to devour this quickly. He had never felt so sick or disgusted in his life. Most of the crowd was horrified. They had never heard of such treatment for a servant.

"Clean me, servant," Leorina ordered. Kale closed his eyes and licked at her until she was satisfied and clean. As soon as she rose, Kale started to gag and cough miserably. He felt unclean and foul, and he immediately went to his knees to begin vomiting into the bushes.

"Leorina, daughter," the chieftain spoke, "that was hardly necessary to do before us all, and immediately before a feast! You may be a descendant of Tammel-Ah, but that means that you must be more considerate of the tribe, not less."

"I am sorry, father," Leorina tipped her head, "I will not do so to the tribe again."

"See that you do not. From now on, do not defecate into your servant such, for it shall make him sick and unable to do his work. And do not urinate into your servant before others. Such acts are best conducted in privacy."

"Yes, father. You may begin the feast as soon as you like... I shall deal with my servant's failure later."

Kale was too miserable to join in the festivities. Leorina celebrated as she never had before. Besides the rebuke from her father, she had never had so fine a Rite of the Reddened Leaves, and she dined on roasted bird and fish as never before. After the feast was over, Leorina approached Kale, who was still lying, groaning, on the ground beneath the great tree.

"I was going to have you flogged, servant," Leorina said as she sauntered over to Kale, "but I think you've rather suffered enough. So you shall not calm the restless spirit of Tammel-Ah with your pain... but with my pleasure."

Kale's ears perked up inquisitively. He still felt awful from being used as a latrine. "What now?"

"Ah! Watch your mouth, servant. That's worth a beating in my house," Leorina clucked her tongue, "But not tonight. Come with me, but see that you address me properly."

Kale followed Leorina into her house with a sigh of resignation. He was very depressed. Leorina lead Kale into her room, a simple place with a window with a wide sill and a comfortable feather bed. There was a woven-reed chest that contained all of her clothing and accessories, as well as vessels of plant dies that she used to decorate her clothing and fur. Leorina sat on the sill and leaned her back against the window.

"Servant... celebrating my victory over you has excited me." Leorina giggled softly. Kale was mystified, but he listened. "I want you to get on your knees... and..." Leorina opened her legs, revealing her puffy, wet slit, "please me with your tongue."

Kale stared at her with wide eyes. "How could you expect this of me? I am not your mate. I am not your lover, even. I have never had a wife, and I do not know of what you speak."

"Oh, no?" Leorina cooed, "but you are my servant, are you not? And you will do as I say. Get on your knees and just simply begin to lick me. You will be doing this a lot for the next score of seasons, servant, so I would experiment and learn."

Kale hesitated, but he knew that there was no way out of this... he was becoming more familiar with Leorina's nether regions than he cared to be already, but he did not want to lose his house or title, so he knelt before her. He slowly, carefully brought his muzzle down between her legs and nudged her crotch with his nose. It smelled... wonderful. Strong and musky and warm. He had only ever known the smell of an aroused female from afar, and he liked it more than he realized. With slight trepidation, he took an experimentative lick. Leorina made a noise that invigorated him, and put her fingers in his hair, behind his ears. He went forward, licking around, trying things here or there. He dug his toungue deep within her. He licked her thighs. He flicked his tongue across her clitoris, which brought such a wonderful noise from her that he was compelled to continue.

With a little experimentation he found that she really went wild for circular motions, and he began to circle his clit with her tongue repeatedly. Leorina pulled her legs wide apart and dug her fingers into his scalp, her claws making soft patterns. He shoved his muzzle deep into her crotch and purred as she made gasps and groans. Finally, after dozens of minutes of oral stimulation, Leorina came strong. She made a series of sounds that cause Kale to feel ten feet taller. She came and came... wonderful feelings flooding her from the bottom of her crotch to the tips of her ears. Her tail thrashed the sides of the windowpane and she cried out.

"Th, that was good, servant... very good," Leorina stroked Kale's hair. What was this she felt? He had been better at this than her other servants, and he had never done it before... "I will not have you beaten. I... tire. It has been a long day. My order is that... you shall lie with me to keep me warm tonight."

It was the first day of autumn, after all, and the nights could get cold. Kale lie next to Leorina as she drifted to sleep, worn out. He was aroused. Very aroused. As soon as she was asleep he rolled to his side and pleasured himself, and he couldn't help but think of Leorina. She was his master... and she was not going to make it easy. He knew it would be painful and humiliating. But maybe... there would be more moments like tonight.
