I woke early in the morning violently by my alarm clock playing the thunder cats theme song. I rubed the sleep out

of my eyes as i though to myself why do i still have that set as my alarm to wake me up. I slip out of bed and

zombie walk to my closet and flip the light on covering my eyes with my hand as the light blinds me some what, as

my eyes adjust to the light I start looking through my closet for the cloths that I would be wearing on my first

day to the new fur school that I was allowed to transfer to and i wasnt really looking foward to school but was

happy that there are good thing bout changing schools one was that there was no dress code. After geting my cloths

out i check my clock to see its still 6 in the morn and school didnt start till 7:30 I decied to go down stairs in

my sweat pants not worrying to put a shirt on. as I walk down stairs and turn the corner i see the kitchen light

was left on and a note is left on the counter for me. I quicky read over the note that my mom had left for me

saying that she had alredy made breakfest and left mine in the tin foil on the counter. After eating my reheated

biscuit-n-eggs I went back up stairs to washe up and get dressd for school which dosnt take long. After geting

ready for school and check my clock seeing its just now only 6:45 I make sure I turn off all the lights n my house

and lock the door I make the silent walk to school which takes only 15 mins to get there.

I arrived at my new school, standing out front and looking up nervously. Taking a deep breath, I went inside and

began looking for the front office to get my schedule. After telling the secretary my name, I waited and passed

the time by looking out of the window. Outside, there were the usual furs and a few humans mixed in as well. They

seemed to be happy, (as much as any kid is in school) and looked pretty nice. Maybe this year at a new school,

wouldn't be as bad as I had thought. The secretary brought me out of my thoughts by handing me my class schedule

and a student handbook. Telling me to read them, she ushered me to the door and pointed down the hall as she

turned to take care of the next lost looking student. Looking down the hall, I began walking as I looked around

and checked the scedule for my first class room number. This place was huge! How was I going to find anything?

Sure enough, in minutes I was lost and worried I would not make it.

My plight must have been obvious and as I slowly walked down the hall, a young black female puma came up to me

with a smile and said,"Hi! I responed with a mumble as i stair at the girl while wishing i wasnt so shy. the puma

asked me if i was lost but i was only able to mumble some more and look down in shame from my shyness and hold

out my schedule as i mumble out a yes. she takes my schedule and looks at it for a moment and looks at me with a

smile and says, looks like we are going to be in the same classes together comon ill show u to the class room, she

says as she grabs my hand and pulls me down the hall to the class room. we get to the class just as the bell rings

and she lets go of my hand as we walk in and she tells the teacher about me being new kid and walk off to her seat

and I blush as i see everyones eyes were looking at me, i quickly walk to the teacher and he goes to introduce me

to the class and tells me to take any seat i want. I take a quik look around and see a seat in the back next to

the puma that draged me to my class and i decied to just go sit next to her as i think what the hell she seems

really nice and joyfull. as i get to my seat she looks up at me and gives me a big tooty puma smile with a

cheerful hi, I smile back as best i could and managed to say hi back as i take my seat and put my shoulder bag

down beside me and pull out a science book from under the desk.

I was happy that my first class was science because i was somehow really good at it i wasnt sure why but it was

just naturle to me. the puma leans over to me and introdcues heself hi im cortney but u can call me cort for

short, i manage to swallow my embarssement and introduce myself with a shy smile, hi im ryan. as the class goes on

I go into a zombie like state takeing notes and reading pages in the science book, the bell rings and startles me

half to death and cort looks over at me and lets out a small chuckle at me and i blush bright red feeling

completly embarrised, I close my book and gather up my stuff and put it back in my shoulder bag and walk out the

class room. as the day goes by i manage to embarriss my self many more times in my other class rooms untill it was

time for gym class which i did not like in the least bit especcaly since it was my last class of the day. I walk

in the gym locker room almost late and i see every guys eyes was on me for a sec i walk to the back room that was

supposdly the gym office and i talk to the teacher and hand him my schedule like i did all day to my other new

teachers. the teacher walks me to my locker and tells me were i place my bag till gym was over abd gives me a

order for to buy my gym uniform.

As gym class begins i see that every1 else was wearing their gym cloths while i was stuck in my normal cloths and

i didnt have a good feeling bout today at all. the teacher walks out of his office with his assissant teacher or

assissant sport teacher since they are the ones that lead the football team,I look at them one was a human with a

average build and the other was a german shepard with a better than average build. the teachers walk to the door

and get us to line up and walks us to the gym were they get us in a spread out form to make us do pt. i wasnt

really the alethic type so sum of the excerises was a little hard for me but when it came to use running a mile n

the gym i was able to keep up with the sum of the slow furs with no trouble, after the mile run the teachers got

the baskeballs and a volly ball net up and lets us do whatever we wanted to do for the rest of the class which by

that time all the girls came out of their gym room and started to walk about and other stuff. i went and sat by

the folded up bleachers and just kinda daydream and look around ad relax and out of the corner of my eye i see

cort walking up to me, hey cort i didnt kno you had gym to, hey ryan yea i do its kinda funny both haveing the

same gym and science class two outa four aint bad at all, um the others at the vollyball net wants to kno if u

wanna join us, uuhhh sure ill play a game or 2. I get up and follow cort to the net were she introduces me to the

others, after 10 mins its the 2nd game and my side is down by 3 points the ball is hit right to me i hit it up

and over to cort and she jumps up to spike it down. the game is tired up and theres only a few minets left for gym

i serve the ball over its hit back to cort she sends it to the back left who saves it and send it back to me I

make a dive for it and pop it up and over to the others.

After several minets of back and forth the coaches blow their whistles and i get distracted as the ball is hit up

and over to me and smacks me in ther head and i end up on the ground rubbing my head. I look to see a paw held out

offering me a helping hand up folloed by a good game there. I take the offering hand and respond with a you to and

look over to see cort just standing there laughing at me. I look back at fur and notice hes a fox with bright

orange fur with a bit of red to it and brown paws, hi im logan and this german shepard here is jack. I look over

to see jack walking up to me and places his paw on my should as he apoloiges to me for accidently hiting me. I

tell him its not a problem at all as i introduce myself, hi im Ryan, so um .... that was a ....... very good game

do yall play alot. after haveing small talk while walking back to the locker room to change back into our normal

cloths and wait for the bell to ring telling everyone in school that the school day was finally over. As i was

waiting i started to go into one of my day dreams but was intrupted by logan and jack floping down on both sides

of me and giveing me a friendly smile, so ryan (jack says) how do you kno cortney. I sit there thinking of what

jack askd me as nervous as i am with all new people, well i bumbed into her in the hallway um ..im new so she

showed me to my first class (i say with a blush). The bell rings and makes me jump a little, logan laughs a little

at me as jack gives me a good smack on my back, what you jumping for man (jack says). logan look at jack and gives

him a silent no, comon jack dont tease him. Feeling my shyness take over i get up and throw my shoulder bag on, um

well i um gotta go, i quickly walk out weaving threw the few humans and furs that was still walking out and head

for the front of the school to start my walk home. As i walk home i think back on my first day at my new school and wish that i

wasnt so shy but think that i might have made more friends that i think i made.
