The next week was the last week before the vacations. Ryan was looking foward to it the whole week, but the best thing was that Cath felt better, too. She didnt call him Master anymore and acted a lot more like a friend. She told him more about herself, she even asked him to teach her something on the guitare. And she was good, she learned the songs even faster than himself.

Nick had some plans for the first days of the vacances. They would met at Nicks home, a short ride from Ryans place, and then they will go camping on a lake. Ryan gathered everything he needed and a sleeping bag, blankets and all the other stuff Cath would need. Ryan would have to hide it in his and his sisters baggage. Until now he never told his parents about her, he know they would freak out if they saw her, so he tried to delay it as long as possible.

"What is camping?" Cath asked while watching Ryan.

"You dont know?"

She shook her head and continued to watch him while he was packing his bags.

"Well..." he gave it a try" You go into the nature, on a field or something like that. In our case we will drive to a lake and there we will put up some tents, go swimming and make some barbeque. Its going to be fun."

"Yes, sounds like... could we take the guitar with us?"

Ryan nodded, which caused her to smile. She liked to play on it, the songs he teached her sounded so beautiful. He finished packing and carried the Bags into his car. He got it for passing his driverslicense from his grandfather. An old, but still good working VW. It was small but there was enough room for their baggage. Then Megan showed up and put her bags in the Car, too.

"You have everything?"

Megan nodded. "I'll get the front seat." she demanded, but Ryan chuckled slightly.

"Sorry Megan, its taken already."

"Thats unfair. Your mean Ni-Chan (jap. for brother)"

But he just laughed and grabbed his keys. They said goodbey to their parents and went into the car. Ryan and Megan started to drive and not a minutes after they left Cath showed up on the free seat.

They drove for a while and eventually reached Nicks Place. Ruki, Viktoria and Nick were already waiting for them. After a little bit of small talk they got to their cars and drove on. It already got dark as they reached the Lake.

Nick got out of his Car looking around. It was a good place for camping, besides a small forest and near to the lake. Right away he claimed the place for his and Rukis Tent. The both got together a while ago, Ryan knew somehow that this would happen. They got out of his car and began to put up the tents first, so this would be ready when they're tired. They had three tents, one for Nick and Ruki, then one for Victoria and Megan and the last one for Ryan and Cath. She insisted on sharing the tent with Ryan, but he did'nt mind at all. After the tents were put up Nick began to start a campfire and prepared some sausages and steaks, while Ryan brought his guitare and began to play. They laughed and sung, even Cath began so sung after Ryan teached her the lyrics, he recognized that she had a good voice for singing. Later everyone went to his or her tent, going to sleep. Cath sat in the tent, alone. Ryan was still outside talking with Nick. Ruki and Nick surprised her a little bit. She saw how close they were to each other, it was... they seemed happy. She sighed. Since Ryan told her that he dont want to be her master, that he wanted to be her friend, she felt much better, happier. Everyday she saw how different he was compared to her old Tamer. Josh had been like monster compared to Ryan. He was kind and nice, she liked to be around him. But looking at Nick and Ruki made her feel... like there had to be something... something more...

She snapped back to reality as Ryan stepped in the tent.

„Hey, still awake?"

„Yes...Uhm... Ryan?"

He looked at her while he tried to get in his sleeping bag.

„There is something i have to do. I want to do..."

„What is it?" he asked her.

She sighed slowly.

„I think i can trace down the Tamer we met last week. I want to find them."

„Why that?"

„I want to... fight him."

„So when should we go?"

„I want to go alone. I wanted to go tonight, you can stay here with the others."

He looked at her, surprised.

„Alone?! No... No, please. You can't fight him alone, its too dangerous!"

„After i found him, i will come back and then we both will fight him."

He sighed, he couldn't understand why she wanted to go alone. The whole week he was looking forward on this trip, because he liked camping... but maily because she would be there, too.

„But why now?"

„I have to do... i... i cant tell right now."

„What is going on, please tell me."

She shook her head.

„I will... i tell you when i'm back, but now... just trust me, Ryan."

He remained silent for a moment, trying to figure out why she was acting so weird.

„Okay... Cath... i... just keep careful, yes. Dont do something stupid."

She nodded slightly and hugged him shortly.

„I will be back tomorrow evening. Dont worry, Ryan"

She disapeared in front of his eyes. He sighed and sat there for a while. He didnt like that, the idea of her trying to find them alone. After a few minutes he got out of his tent and walked up to the campfire. It wasnt burning anymore, but still giving some heat.

„...just keep careful... please..."

He stood up and walked over to the lake. He was standing there for an while and then he heared steps behind him. Hoping it was Cath, he turned around.

„Cath, is..."

But he stopped in his sentence. There was no Cath, but Ruki standing in front of him.

„Hey, Ryan, is everything alright."

„Yes... just thought you were Cath..."

„Something wrong?" she asked, she thought he was acting a little bit weird.

„She... went searching for the other Tamer."

„Why that?"

„I don't know..." he answered „ maybe she still thinks that she dissapointed me by loosing against him..."

„Now you're worried, right?" she said.

„...yeah... i hope she doesn't get into trouble..."

Ruki sat down on the shore and looked at the lake.

„You like her, don't you?"

„Yes sure... i...wait, what do you mean."

She chuckled and turned to him.

„Sometimes... it seemes like you're in... love."

„What?" He looked at her, alittle bit puzzled. „What are saying. Sure i like her... and... i like to have her around me , shes friendly and... but... it wouldnt even work with us..."

„Why not?"

„Er well, because she is... she's a digimon and im just a human... it wont go..."

She laughed.

„Look, Nick's 21 and i'm 15... my father went mad when firgured it out. He said it wont go because hes lot older than me. But then, after a while, he got to know him and accepted it."

Ryan stood up and walkes a little bit around.

„Yeah but... i... i... i think...i ... love her..."

„So then why not?"

He sighed and looked up to the sky. The moon pooked trough the clouds. He turned around to Ruki.

„A week ago she still referred to me as her master, she didn't even know how to be a friend to someone." he explained.

„But you thaugt her how to, she didn't call you that for the whole week, and now she is friend to us all. Tell her, i think she loves you too"

Ryan looked at the lake.'should I do... I really... love her. I cant even image a life without her...'

„I'll tell her... I'll tell her as soon as she is back, but... how do you knew that i have these feelings...?"

She was grinning.

„Sometimes... when you looked at her, you look like Nick when he's looking at me."

Ryan began to smile slightly.

„And what about her, what do you see in her eyes?"

Ruki looked at him and sighed.

„I'm not sure, she's... so... i don't know hot to say. I think she tries to hide something, especially when we others are around. Last week at Viktorias place, i woke up in the night. Everyone was aslepp, except for her. She watched you sleeping... and smiled."

„Must've been after... i told her that i want us to be friends."

Ruki nodded.

„You should go to bed, but one thing before you go!"

He looked at her, concered what she wanted.

„You promise me that you will ask her tomorrow."

„I promise."

Ruki nodded and went back into the tent. Ryan stood there for a little while, looking at the sky, then he decided to go back into his tent.

Ryan sat at the shore, looking at the sheet of paper on his lap. He was working on a new picture.

„Ryan?"

He turned around to see Nick coming to him, with a bit of breakfast.

„What are you doing?"

„Just... drawing..."

Nick got a peek at the picture. It showed Cath. She was leaning against a tree, looking directly out of the picture.

„Oh... Cath, huh?"

Ryan nodded slightly and took the breakfast. Bread and sausages and a bit of fried eggs.

„Yeah... Are you okay?"

„Yes, why are you asking?"

Nick sat down beside him.

„Ruki told me last night."

Ryan began to grin, somehow he knew this would happen.

„Shes not good at keeping secrets... what did she told you."

„Uhm..." Nick scratched his head." She went searching this other tamer, right? And now youre down, because you didnt want her to go alone."

Ryan nodded.

„How did you do it. How did you two become a couple, what did you say?"

„I... dont know... somehow it just happend... I think it's not this imoprt what you say, more how you say it. You have to be honest."

Ryan sighed and began to draw some details at the eyes.

„Looks good."

„Thanks... thank you."

Over the Day ryan tried to play the scenario in his head, trying to find the right words, how to say it, but he just couldnt imagine her reaction. She said she would be back by evening, now it was noon. Ryan got nervous, hoping that nothing bad happened to her. He layed in the grass, he stopped drawing an hour ago, the picture was finished and he had enough sketches for weeks. All of her. He opened his eyes. It got darker, the sun hides behind thick clouds. Then suddenly Ryan heard a strange noise. It sounded like wings... huge wings. He stood up, looking around, then he heared something hitting the ground right behind him. Before he could turn around he was hit with incredible force so he was thrown through the air. He hit the ground hard and rolled around to see what hit him. He saw a tall being in front of him. It had huge Wings and long arms with claws. It was completely white and had red eyes. Ryan recognized it, he saw it in the anime.

„Ice... devimon...?!"

He looked at Ryan, inspecting him.

„Youre the Tamer...? Wheres youre partner?!"

The others heard the noise and stopped at the tents as they saw the big evil Digimon.

Ryan got up and looked around. There was nothing to hide, he only saw Icedevimon grinning at him.

„Cath... please..."

„It's not here?! You fool, why is it not here? I want to fight! So call you Digimon!"

Ryan stared at him, his grin disapeared and he kicked at Ryan.

„CALL IT!"

Ryan was sent flying again.

„CATH!!!!"

He fell to the ground again and struggeld to get up. Icedevimon formed a fist and prepared to blow another hit on Ryan, but just in this moment, something rushed by, hitting Icedevimon striaght into his face. He stepped back holding his face and looked around, then Cath apeared between him and Ryan.

„Don't you dare to hurt him!" she shouted at her opponent.

*Oh my god, Icedevimon vs. Cath! Going to be an epic fight XD
