Passionate Escape: Chapter 4
Finally, the fourth chapter is done and now I can focus on the next entry. This is a slower paced chapter, exploring a bit of the personality of Keith and Amy. Hope everyone enjoys this chapter, critique is welcome.
Keith sat quietly in his hotel room, staring into the dark. Amy was in the bedroom with the door slightly cracked open, busily making a few phone calls about the incident to a few of her friends. The dragon had not moved for over an hour, listening to the patter of rain upon the side of the building. This was the second time in his life he had ever seriously considered ending the life of another individual. It was a possibility he was slowly realizing he may have to consider, the safety of his family and loved ones now foremost in his concerns. Diana was scheduled to be released from the hospital in two days, her delay due to the doctors wanting to make sure she had suffered no further internal damage that was unaccounted for. He had immediately offered her a room, more as a statement than a question. To his surprise she had accepted with no argument or defiance that had become typically associated with her behavior. He listened to Amy's muffled conversations, making out some words while guessing others. It didn't matter; they all revolved around the same subject matter. The male leaned forward and sighed heavily, placing his hands under his chin to support his head. He would have stayed with Diana that night, but he had things he needed to take care of. He knew a few people who could sell him an unregistered firearm, though none of them lived in the city. He reached for his cell phone and flipped it open, perusing his list of contacts. He'd never done anything like this before, but he was prepared for the consequences that would follow. He came across the name Marco, clicked the Send key, and out the phone to his ear. After approximately twelve seconds of ringing he could hear weighted breathing on the other end.
"Do you realize it is fucking 5:43 in the morning Keith?" said Marco, his very annoyed friend.
"I cannot go into specifics right now, but I need something from you my friend. Something has happened to my sister, I need you to acquire something for me."
"Oh..." there was a long pause. Keith wondered if he should just hang up and call back later. A few seconds later came his answer.
"Okay man, don't worry. Just tell me what you need and I'll take care of it."
The nightmares came when the dragon finally fell asleep, horrible things on display beyond his ability to intervene. He saw the person who stabbed his sister doing it again, this time killing her. He saw that Amy was then gutted next in her own bed, the blood pouring over the sheets in a geyser of red. Keith flinched and turned in his sleep, growling out loud enough to momentarily waken Amy. The Doberman groaned and shifted, drifting off shortly after, just as exhausted as the dragon was. They had been through an emotionally taxing night, one that was going to stick with them for quite a while longer due to the threat that still loomed. Before he passed out Keith had made sure to keep a knife next to the bedside stand. He realized that being overly paranoid was going to have a psychological impact on him, but it was something he could not help but suffer through. It was affecting his dreams now, the one place where he always felt safe at all times. He blamed that bastard for everything, he wanted nothing more than to put a bullet right between his eyes, preferably his cock first. The tossing and turning continued until he awoke at 5:57 pm, exhaustion still lingering within. He rose slowly, shaking his head and blinking, his vision blurry but clearing. He sat up next to his still sleeping girlfriend, looking over to her and smiling. He watched her for a few moments, leaning in to nuzzle her neck. Amy shivered instinctively and moved onto her stomach, burying her face into the pillow. Keith chuckled quietly and looked towards the bedroom window, sun shafts pouring through the blinds. After a few minutes of staving off sleep the dragon rose to his feet, walking over to the window and lifting the blinds away. The ocean was beautiful outside, the surface glimmering from the sun's reflection. The waves moved calmly as they crashed against the shore, the occasional fin breaking the water as a pod of dolphins swam through an area not far from the shore. The coast was dotted with numerous people, most either in the ocean or soaking up the rays. It looked all so peaceful to the dragon, something embracing and tranquil. He came to this place for many reasons; one of them was to temporarily leave behind everything that stressed him. Things would change but the overall feel would always be the same, it was his haven.
"Amy, throw on a bikini, we're going out."
The crisp ocean air revitalized his senses, flooding his olfactory receptors with various scents. His eyes darted around, taking in everything that could be seen. Amy casually strode alongside him, wearing a rather revealing red and blue striped bikini that accentuated her curves perfectly. She got looks from passersby, she always did. It strengthened her confidence to know that others thought she was sexy, it helped that Keith shared the same opinion. She knew though that the ocean would always take precedent the first time her returned to it, at least for a few minutes anyways. The dragon was wearing semi-sparkly purple swim trunks, matching his scale color. The two walked over to a clearing and unfolded a large towel over the sand, placing a small cooler right next to it. Amy slid the top back, taking out a bottle of water and twisting off the plastic top. She took a large gulp and offered some to Keith, who kindly declined and simply gazed out over the moving waves with silent amusement.
"You don't need my permission." joked the Doberman. Keith smiled and nodded, turning to stride towards the shore. The clouds in the distance were an orange tint, an easy indication that dusk was approaching. The dragon stopped when only his feet were submerged; walking forward a few steps every few moments to let his body adjust to the temperature decrease. He sighed pleasantly, remembering just how much he missed the cool ocean waters surrounding him. He felt something nipping at his toe claws, looking down to see small schools of tiny fish swimming around the area, their silvery scales glinting from the sunlight. Soon enough he was waist deep, gentle waves lapping against his form. He looked around, seeing plenty of others farther out than he was, most using a flotation device. He chuckled to himself and lowered himself to a sitting position, now only his neck, head, and wingtips visible above the surface. He closed his eyes and enjoyed the soft sounds of laughter, rolling water, and distant splashes. His tail curled around a partially submerged rock close to him, keeping him anchored on the spot in case an unusually large wave knocked him off balance. He sat there for about fifteen minutes before he heard the water stirring behind him, a glance back showing that Amy had decided to join him. Her movement was slow and off balance, still adjusting to the low temperature of the water. Her teeth were chittering as she struggled to warm up, her arms wrapped around her waist. Keith smirked and welcomed her over with a wave of his hand, placing his arm around her as she settled next to him. He held her close in the glistening waters, warming her up with his body.
"Thank you for coming out here with me, always glad to have your company babe." said Keith as he nuzzled her neck, noticing her tail slowly wagging from the affection. Amy nodded and smiled wide, grateful to have her strong drake against her. They pressed closer together, simply content in each other's presence. They watched the distant clouds together, oblivious to everything else around them. Amy yelped lightly as she felt Keith's hand grip her hip firmly, shaking her head and giggling girlishly.
"You know I could fuck you pretty easily out here." said the dragon as he teased her. Amy squirmed against him, blushing slightly.
"You are not having sex with me out here in front of everyone!" she exclaimed, sticking her tongue out at him.
"Okay, okay then. We'll wait until night before I rail you out here."
"God Keith, you are so crude!" said Amy as she pushed against him gently, enticed by the idea. It had been a long time since they had made love on a shore. The last time also happened to attract several onlookers, a few of which recorded the sultry event.
"But you love me", stated the dragon, grinning toothily. "I'll try and pick a better spot this time; I would rather not end up on another porn site like last time." Amy laughed, remembering a friend of hers showing her the video. She had been mortified after her first viewing, nearly fainting before the show ended. Keith didn't mind at all though, in fact he found it quite a turn on to be filmed plowing his lady. He did not however enjoy the sheer amount of perverts who tried to contact both of them, wanting a date or a short-lived good time. At his request the video was removed, ending the debacle. They had both learned to be a little more discreet in their sessions from then on, though Keith still had a knack for voyeurism.
The dragon rolled onto his side, huffing and panting as his body slowly recovered from his excursion. He growled and stretched his wings out, his tail curling in the sand. Amy merely lay where she was, staring up into the night sky and enjoying the afterglow. The stars were out in all their brilliance, partially obscured by dark blue clouds slowly crawling across the sky. The Doberman refastened her bikini bottom, her bra a few feet from the couple's position. She had been taken aback by how enthusiastic Keith was this time, as if he was emptying all of his worries into her, through a manner of speaking. His speed and stamina had surprised her once again; it had been too long since they last had a proper fucking. She traced her toes in the sand idly, listening to her lover pant. She rolled onto her side to gaze at him, a smirk forming on her face as he lay there with his eyes closed.
"Don't tell me you are going to propagate that stereotype sweetie." Keith opened his eyes and chuckled, lifting himself up into a sitting position.
"There, I'm sitting up."
"That hasn't stopped you from passing out before love." she said as she teased him. He nudged her side with his tail and let out a loud, growling yawn. The couple gazed out upon the waves as they crashed against the shore, the rolling water creating a serene tune as the tides progressed and receded back. This night was what they had been awaiting for so long, just some time to spend with each other in solitude. The beach was not completely deserted, but just enough to afford them the opportunity to indulge in their barely restrained desires. It had been explosive and powerful, the amalgamation of months and months of stress, need, loneliness, and romantic isolation. The claw marks on Keith's back would be proof of the intensity they had just experienced. The couple shared a short but meaningful kiss before they re-dressed themselves, laying back in the sand and content with the presence of the other. It had been an evening of unchained bliss prior to a day of living hell. After a time Keith looked at his phone and saw how late it was, reluctantly standing up. Amy pouted a bit, definitely not wanting to leave her comfortable spot. The dragon smiled at her and offered his hand to his partner. She took it tightly into her own, rising up to be level with him. They gathered their belongings and set off for the entrance to their hotel, looking back at the shore one more time. The lights of a nearby pier burned brightly through the dark night; always on to guide lost beachgoers back to a meeting point. The air was crisp and cold, absolutely invigorating to the senses. There was peace here, in a place that truly felt like home.
