#2 of Two Amulets
Many years have dwindled on since the two children have been ripped from each other's life, ten years now. Both Takace and Yumai have matured greatly.
Takace grew up becoming a skilled thief, mastering the darks arts of magic and shadow copying, he has been known through out the lands as Shadowce. He has become quite the skilled warrior, carrying himself with much pride, even though the fate of him becoming a thief was ill. At first he had no intentions, but that being his only career choice next to a harlot in his town, thief was the better deal. Takace was considered the next in line to power of the Thieves Guild; he was aiming for that position, he seeked and craved power more then anything now.
Takace wore a crimson jacket trimmed with gold, buttoned up to about his muscular chest, underneath revealing a white shirt, clenched at his hips were tight red pants tucked into his black boots, around his waist he wielded a brown leather belt, holding his rare dagger.
Yumai herself become someone of great power, changing her name as well for protection, she was now addressed as Beatrix, a vital enemy to the Thieves guild. Yumai was the General and lead of the army Zion, Kindle being her right hand man and main stalker, he was besotted with her.
Her golden mane sprouted from the black bandana she wore wrapped around her head, stopping at her forehead where the remaining triangle fold, folded over her eye, patching it. She wore a silver and white trimmed steel plate body armor and a white mini skirt to match it, starting at her knee were her large, sleek, white leather boots, sheathed at her waist was a diamond bladed sword. She wore a suit worn only by white knights or mage warriors. She accomplished becoming a white knight, a skilled swordsman and healer.
But as always, both the warriors, tucked away in the layers of there clothes, wore there amulets, hoping one day to find one another, and be reunited.
" Beatrix, we have the set routine of the Thieves Guild, should we pursue it and make those fiends parish for their crimes or wait?" spilled from the pale lips a Kindle.
His mane was wild, mixing in with his silver fur, he wore an iron plate body and plate legs, matching his medium helmet, carrying the sign on Zion across the back. Yumai looked at him shaking his head, " Let me see this on the map."
Kindle handed her the map, she examined it, handing it back to him, " My experience and intuition says this is a fake route, they plan or intend or us to head down this path, it is merely a trap. Where did you get this map from?"
" A mugger, she at first did not give up the map so easily, we had to use other methods to get it out of her. Does that not count Beatrix?"
She shook her head, " No, that is there intention, why would a common mugger be holding such an important map? I highly doubt that the Thieves Guild would be so dim-witted, you have been fooled Kindle, don't let it happen again, discreditable behavior is crossed in the Zion army."
Kindle nodded, " So then what do we do Beatrix?"
" We head north, opposite of there set direction, I find we may run into them."
" Why north?"
Yumai cleared her throat as she mounted a horse, " The map reads south west, Zion is to the east, there only direction to run is north, west is the city of warlocks, or are main counsel as you like to call them. The thieves will see it as we got a hold of this sort of map and must have the warlocks look at it, as we do with anything important we find. So we travel north. Inform the men."
Beatrix started to rush out into the woods heading north, her army soon following.
" Takace, the Zion army has obtain the fake map, what do we do?"
Takace turns looking to the older thief before him as he spoke, " We do as we always do, head north, with the Zion army not there to protect it, it gives us free bait to the innocent."
" What makes you so sure they will not be there?"
" The Zion Army has a strict code to live under, they must take all important pieces of information about an enemy to the warlocks to look over, after it is looked over they will head towards the counsels direction. That is a sure bet to give us two weeks of time to get to the northern city and rob them of all there riches."
" Takace you're so smart, you will be a great leader of thieves!"
" I know I will, now we just have to wait for the one we have now to croke."
The elder thief chuckles as he starts to walk away, Takace stopping him with words, " Tell maybe ten of the men to head to the fake route, be armed and dangerous, and tell the rest to mount up on steed, we head out tonight!"
The elder nodded, walking off towards the rest of the men. Takace laughed in the nights air, looking at the stars and said, " Take that Beatrix!"
Kindle, following Beatrix with the rest of her men, trots all on horses as they head towards the north. Kindle riding next to Beatrix and says, " So do we plan to kill all the thieves this time?"
" All but the leader, you know my code and rule about the thieves."
" Why not kill them all Beatrix? There all sinners, there all brutes and all savages, they should die for there sins!"
" The leader might know where Takace is, and Takace is my main goal for our quest."
" Do you think Shadowce knows where he is?"
" A thief never forgets there raids. That is what I was always told, while I was being trainned, so they know where he is."
" What if Takace is dead?"
Beatrix whips around to look at Kindle, glaring at him with a mean look as she says, " You always have been crude, no makings to be a white knight! Dont say that about Takace!"
She looks back at her main sights and doesnt look at Kindle again. Kindle sighs as he looks down, " Is is time you let that go, Takace was ripped from us long ago, and we all weeped at the lost, but its time you let go. Takace is in the heavens of Zion, protected by the Gods and Goddess. You must keep that at mind, move on Yumai..."
" The name is Beatrix, I dont go by that name anymore, you know that Kindle, so stop using it! That is an order!"
" Sorry, Beatrix, but that is your name!"
" No that is what Takace called me, and only he will call me that name."
" Why? Why not me? Takace is gone and you cannot move on to someone else? What does Takace have that I dont? I can be a better man then Takace could ever be!"
Yumai pulled hard on her reigns, whipping the horse completely around, sitting side by side to Kindle, " Really? You can such a better man then Takace?"
She said leaning in close to him, not letting her eyes leave him, " Prove it Kindle! Prove that you are so much better a man then Takace!"
Kindle gulped licking his lips as he slowly leaned in to kiss her, she from her side, balled her hand up in a fist, pushing it forward she felt her paw collide with the side of Kindle's face.
He flew off his horse and crashed into the ground. Kindle looking up at Beatrix wondering why she did that. Kindle hops up to his feet yelling out, " What the hell is your problem?"
" You! Stop comparing yourself to Takace! I dont love you and never will! Drop the subject and keep our relation strictly job related! We work together nothing else, got that Kindle?"
Kindle sighs, nodding as he mounted his horse, " Yes, I do got that Beatrix..."
Beatrix turned herself around and started to head towards the north again, Kindle and the rest of the army following.
