My Flame burns for you (Working Title/Test run)
This is mostly a test to see if this works. The story itself was something i thought of years ago, with the main plot being the feelings of a Charizard that had brought great harm to its trainer and reflecting on the past.
If this get enough support i might make it a full fledged story. Also, don;t be afraid to give me your thoughts, anything that can help me be a better writer is always welcomed. Either way, hopes this works out.
Hey guys. This is my first time doing this and I hope I can write something good for you.
The waiting…the endless waiting. It's enough to drive people mad. To sit down and just see what would happen, to try and comprehend the time that flew away or wonder just how much longer you must stay patient until the very end.
Blaise hate waiting. He always did. Never had much of a knack for being patient, as he always wanted to get things done quickly. Everyone else around him though seem to be the complete opposite. They were all so very patient, so content on letting the clock tick away and wait until things come to be. Honestly, it was annoying to think that they were his friends once he realizes how different they were. Then again, despite how much the gap between them is – be it in the terms of power, seniority or even maturity – they all had one thing in common. Each of them had fought, trained, bled, wept and evolved – spiritually, mentally and physically – all for one person. The person that took them in despite how hard they were to work with in the beginning, who fed them when they were hungry for food that was not common among the group, to protect them from danger and harm that many people would have the sense to avoid.
The person who love them above all else, even himself…their trainer Tommy.
Tommy was always there for them whenever they needed something, treating them as something that was much more than pokemon, but as something akin to family. He would always ask them weather they wanted to stay out of their pokeballs and enjoy being outside, help bath them once they would get dirty after pokemon battles and training, Blaise even remembered the times when he would pick him up and carry him on his shoulders when he was a little Charmander. Back then it was one of his most favorite things really, being so high while on tommy. He would hold on tight and out of fear at first, fearing that he would fall. After a few more rides though, he started to love it, so much that even Tommy saw it as he would travel town to town with Blaise riding on his shoulders.
Back then, things were good…
Sadly though, things change with the passage of time. Soon Blaise went from a Charmander to a Charmeleon and then to his current and almighty form known as a Charizard. He soon outgrew things such as piggyback rides and parties, as far as he is concerned the only thing that matter to him was getting better and proving his dominance. Fighting against strong pokemon and proving his might, showing he fellow teammates and allies on the team that he is the alpha male in the group, that he is the best and that no one is going to boss him around, not even their trainer.
…or atleast, that was until now. Sitting on the floor, with his head hanging down, his cheek throbbing in pain from a punch that came from Star, a Lucario that knew Tommy almost as long as Blaise did himself. Even now he could still feel the full force of the punch, as well as the emotions behind it. Anger, rage, sadness…and disappointment.
Tears started to roll down his snout, staining the carpet floor as more and more started to come down. He knew full well that the punch she threw was something he deserved, hell he would even deck himself if he could. Of all the things he had done, all the brash and aggravating things he has ever said or did, this was something that he knew was borderline unforgivable.
'Did it finally click in for you Blaise? Are you ready to grow the hell up?'
Raising his head, Blaise looked to see a black frog-like creature, with what looked to be its tongue wrapped around it's neck like a scarf, staring at him with light red orbs.
Mizu…Tommy's 'official' starter and third pokemon, as well as a rare shiny Greninja to boot. Out of all the pokemon that was in Tommy's team, she was perhaps the most integral part of the group next to Star and himself. Despite being younger than the mighty Charizard, Mizu was the most mature of the group, even being the de facto leader at times when in times of crisis. In many ways, she was the opposite to him, being patient and very kind to all the pokemon, even helping Tommy with mundane and trivial tasks such as washing dishes and taking out the trash.
If Blaise didn't know her, he would see her as a simple house maid pokemon and nothing more. Of course, that would be an honest mistake, especially since Mizu is the strongest pokemon in Tommy's team, even surpassing the Charizard that is before her.
'I..I didn't mean to –'
'It doesn't matter what you 'mean' to do. The only thing that matter right now is what happened, and the fact that you caused it.'
Her words struck Blaise hard, making him hang his head again in shame. He knows that she is saying nothing but the truth, no matter how much it hurts.
Seeing what her words has did, the black Greninja shut her eyes and turned her back to him. 'Blaise, even you should know that no matter what you do, Tommy will always love you. But after all the things you've done, with all the crap you pulled at Sinnoh and now this. I am beginning to think that maybe it would be best for both of you if he did release you.'
With that, Mizu walked away, leaving a spiritually broken mess of a Charizard behind. His tears slowly began to flow again, this time feeling heavier than they did last time.
'Tommy…I…'
Feeling enough energy to barely stand, Blaise turned to his left to the hall way. There, at the very end of it, was a door that was slightly ajar. With each small step he took, the Charizard got closer and closer until he was able to grab the door knob. Gently and slowly, he pushed the door open and investigated the room. Upon peering his head in, he gazed to the bed with tears still streaming from his eyes.
There, laying on the bed, was Tommy, his trainer. The young man laid on his bed, bandages wrapped around his head with red stains. Below, under the covers, Blaise could see glimpse of more bandages on him, with more red stains.
Getting closer, Blaise could get a better look at his trainer, looking at his fairly tan skin and a few strands of his raven colored hair through the bandages. However, the most notable feature that Blaise noticed on him was the scar on his left cheek, a reminder of what happened back in Sinnoh.
Staring at the face of the person that took cared of him since the very beginning, Blaise slowly moved a clawed hand to gently caress the scared cheek.
'Tommy…I am so sorry.'
so yeah that it for a test run. Like i said, if you like it and want a full story just tell me and i might do it. Advice and opinions are always welcomed. Thanks for reading.
