New story chronicling a bit of what happened to me this year! I protected a few of the names, but some I didn't.

New story idea, if you guys like I'll progress the hell out of it! I haven't written in a long time, so any encouragement or criticism is happily welcomed!

Her name was Aubrey. It rolled off the tongue with languid ease, as if you'd said it a million times before. It was a word that called to mind the image of a goddess, an eidolon of perfection that surpassed description in any language. The staggering picture of the woman behind that wonderful name, Aubrey, proved to everyone that there was indeed heaven on Earth. But memory of such a woman did little justice to the actual figure seen in person. And this demigod was sitting right next to Kevin.

Her shoulder length hair was smoother than the surface of fine china and it shimmered with every turn of her head, dark brown in some spots and lighter in others. Past the hair lay light brown skin, a tan Italian tone to match the big, round, deep brown eyes. Her smile brought a tingle of warmth to the coldest winter day, her pert little nose wrinkled slightly with the sheer radiance of the beaming grin, a small stud glinting against the light. When she was embarrassed, a faint pink hue rose to her cheeks, adding an endearing innocence to her. Shadows played across the alluring skin of her neck, stopping at the gray v-neck tee shirt she was wearing that day. It hugged gently to her form, curving delicately over her bosom and showing the contours of a well fed belly.

She stood up, walking to the front of the classroom. Kevin's eyes immediately caught onto her lower half as she made her way to the teacher's desk. A brown leather belt signaled the beginning of her faded blue jeans. Aubrey had the proportions of a real woman, wide sweeping hips and hearty thighs which met at the seam of her skin tight pants. She stopped at the cheap brown desk, her thighs giving a slight wiggle as they resisted her motion. Ms. Brown, the teacher, signed her pass and she was out the door. Kevin lifted his head of his hand, leaning back into the chair of his too-small desk. His paper was already filled out which left him sitting there fiddling with his pencil absentmindedly. This class was supposedly the highest level available, yet every assignment was easily completed in less than ten minutes out of the 80-minute block. He glanced over at his friend Evan who was playing Temple Run on his iPhone with the look of somebody who'd been in solitary confinement for thirty years. "Hey, Evan, homecoming's next week!" Kevin whispered, leaning in as if the silent classroom wouldn't hear what he'd just said.

"Yeah, and," Whispered Evan back, not taking his eyes off of his phone.

"_And _you should ask somebody to go with you, it'll be a good time!" Evan turned his gaze to Kevin, focusing his eyes on him.

"Yeah, sure, that'll happen,"

"Not with that attitude it won't! Why don't you ask Mackenzie, she'd love to go with you,"

"You think so, man?"

"Of course, you two are like peas in a damn pod!"

"Well hey if you really think so. What day is it?" He asked, but Kevin had turned his attention to the now-open door. Aubrey walked in, tossed the pass in the recycling bin and walked back to her seat. As she passed Kevin, he met her gaze and smiled nervously. She returned the smile, and turned to get into her desk. As she turned beside him, a gentle wisp of air brushed across him, smelling faintly of her flowery perfume. She bumped her knee on the metal support beam next to the chair and let out a short, surprised _'Ah' _sound. It was music to Kevin's ears, much like her laugh. He giggled quietly, bringing that excellent pink blush to her cheeks. She turned to her paper, pencil clutched in one hand, the other rubbing her knee.

"Can't even carry on a damn conversation when she walks by. You oughta' ask her to homecoming man. We can go on a double date," Evan said, indicating Aubrey over Kevin's shoulder.

"Maybe I will. It's on Friday, by the way."

"That's plenty of time. Ask her after class, dude," Evan said, shaking his phone violently. "Died! I'm about ready to throw this damn thing out the window," Kevin laughed, Ms. Brown looking up from behind her computer to scan the room. He met her gaze, waving wildly. She gave a miniscule grin and turned back to the computer, clicking with boredom. The class dragged by, and when the bell rang the entire classroom sprung out of their seats and sped out into the hallway as if the room were filled with nerve gas. Kevin rushed to catch up to Aubrey to ask her out to the homecoming dance, but she disappeared in the flood of people meandering through the cramped hallway.

"Damn, man, I lost her already,"

"You'll get it tomorrow, dude, see you at lunch," Evan said, walking off towards his gym class. Kevin had to get to German next, and on his way he passed by Aubrey at her locker. His heart jumped, thundering inside his chest as though it were going to jump out through his mouth. He walked right past her, butterflies laying waste to his stomach. The moment he got to his next class he was kicking himself for it. How could he just walk right by? With his luck there'd be no second chance, she'd be sick until the dance or something. Not to mention, now he had to go through all the worry and trouble again tomorrow. Good lord girls made him a wreck. Kevin often wondered why he couldn't be at ease around members of the fairer sex, like Austin. Every single girl in the state of Maine loved him instantly. Kevin just didn't get it!

"Something on your mind, herr Kevin?" The German teacher asked, standing behind her computer trolley, wearing a green velvet skirt and tall boots.

"Nein, alles ist sicher," Kevin responded, unpacking his binder as Lucas walked in.

"Hat!" Ms. Bongard called. Lucas scoffed, ripping off his beanie and throwing it onto the desk. This class was an oddity, as it consisted of only Kevin and Lucas. Apparently there aren't many people looking to take German at Lawrence high school.

"Ok, Jungs, today we will be watching a film. Either of you familiar with ' __Goodbye_ Lenin'? _Weil das ist was wir Heute schauen," As the teacher struggled to set up the DVD player with the classroom's projector, Lucas and Kevin got into a deep conversation about video games.

"I'm really looking forward to the new Forza game. I've sunk more than my fair share of time into Forza 3, I'm ready for some new shit!"

"I've never played Forza actually," Lucas began, interrupted by the lights turning off. The movie started in all its eighties German splendor. After struggling to keep up with the intense East-German lingo, the bell rang. Somehow this single teacher always managed to keep people WELL after the bell rang, and Lucas was consistently late to his biology class because of this frivolous language class. Kevin didn't mind hardly as much since he was just missing the beginning to lunch. He walked with Lucas down the stairs, and the two parted ways. Kevin sat down in his usual spot, the rest of his table mates quickly found their seats.

"You get it done, kid?" Evan asked. He passed his pizza to Trevor immediately. "Tastes like ass."

"No man I gotta wait for-"

"What you pussied out?"

"I prefer the term chicken but-"

"Well kid she ain't gonna' ask herself!"

"I know, I know. You ask Kenzie?"

"We're talking about Aubrey right now, not Mackenzie,"

"So no?" Kevin responded with a smile, riffling through his wallet.

"Well looks like you both are bitches!" Brian said through a mouthful of pizza. "This tastes like donkey balls. I love me some donkey balls," Kevin immediately locked his eyes onto the entrance to the cafeteria, and by extension, Aubrey as she walked in. Her body moved in all the right places, and she was renowned as having the largest breasts in the sophomore class. She often tried to hide them, but today she took a little liberty with the outfit and they were more prominent than usual. Her mouth was pursed gently, giving a subtle hint of determination or frustration. Once she sat down, Kevin turned back around and sighed a long, low "Damn," Evan laughed at that, shaking his head.

"Let's face it, you're doomed to chasing after her."

"Probably for no reason too," Brian joked, but Kevin couldn't help but think that he was right. He had always been rubbish with girls, why would now be any different? Not like self pity would do anything. He'd just have to do it tomorrow no matter what happens. Kevin bought his lunch, a bag of pretzels and a bottle of water. Back at the table he tried to open it, and the lid came off all of a sudden, causing water to fly all over the table and onto his lap. "YOUR MOTHER SEWS SOCKS THAT SMELL!" He shouted, the cafeteria instantly silencing. His face felt as if it was on fire as the blood rushed to it.
