Long is the road walked by man. Far is the path trekked by spirit. True is the journey taken by both- The Venus Sage

Chapter 1 - Enter the Site

Hakoda made his way through the temperate forests of the lower Appalachian mountain area. Traveling deep into the thicket, away from civilization, it was now early spring in Georgia. Normally a time for the blooming of native flora, Hakoda took this opportunity to dive further into the spiritual nexus. The time 4pm and he contemplated what he was about to do as he trekked through mountainry. It seemed like a good Idea when he had come up with it about a month ago, but maybe doing it alone was an error in judgment...

"I should have bought another Bruinson shaman. Maybe my sister Kala? No, she hasn't done this in too long..." Hakoda thought to himself and began to trail off. Sunset was looming. Within time, roughly catching the onset of twilight, Hakoda made it to his destination. The Bruinson family ritual grounds. When one of Hakoda's ancestor migrated here many years ago, they formed a close-nit relationship with the native Black Bear tribe that held dominion over that area. They taught his ancestor many things including annexed religious secrets not known to outsiders. This was his family legacy. And he wanted to know more about it. He wanted to know more about this ancestor.

Hakoda got comfortable and began to disrobe. He could feel the sacred churn if bio force that ran over the area like precious blood through veins. The ritual grounds were home to ancient magicks. Strong rites were worked here in the name of the Great Mother Goddess, the patron deity of the Bruinson family. The Great Mother was an ancient tribal bear deity that modern ursidae culture had long since forgotten, but not Hakoda, nor his kin. Hakoda is now disrobed and settled. He sat on the cold ground, naked.

The bonfire was lit. Around Hakoda was a small assortment of ritual tools for the ceremony. Black wooden bowls of plant matter that had its own purpose and water that also had its own reason for being present. Hakoda Took 4 deep breaths and then he was ready to start; he made the cross over his head and chest.

He opened a decorated hide pouch. The production of hide was expensive and somewhat black market in the most extreme, but this sachet was older then parliamentary regulations on zooman behavior. It was the hide of one of his own indigenous kinsmen. A tribal black bear who had fallen in war. In the pouch was a generous collection of ground herbs and dried plants. Jasmine, Frankincense, Myrrh, and Mustard seed were in the mix. Hakoda pulled a handful out. "In the name of the Mother I consecrate these herbs. May they be charged for meditation and be used for the greater good. Blessed Be." Hakoda intoned this aloud. He tossed the mix into the fire and watched as the hypnotic aroma and mesmerizing smoke filled the space. Hakoda's practice wasn't limited to only neo-shamanism but to as much as the Mother would let him learn.

Hakoda sat cross-legged on the chilled earth and took a swig of herbal tea he had been drinking on all day. Peppermint and rosemary fill him with cleansing warmth. The sun had reached its end at setting and only its dim afterglow remained. A soft amber cast over the forest floor. Fowl- folk, Eagles who inhabited the cliffs of the Appalachia as a quiet mountain community, flew overhead; minding their own. Surely they would not disturb Hakoda due to the surplus of invisibility charms and secrecy wards that littered the area, but he took precautions. "Watch over me my friends," Hakoda thought to himself. At timed he'd found himself relying on the kindness of strangers and had hoped that they would feel the unnerving need to scan the area for intruders. As though they knew Hakoda's heart and what it wanted they continued to circle. Not sure of why... but Hakoda knew exactly why. "Thank you brethren."

Hakoda started to hum an ancient hymn. The words long forgotten; the tune ancient and powerful. By the end of a verse he was gone. The power of the site had overtaken him. Hakoda had descended into another world.

Chapter 2 - Enter the Depths

The warmth of the fire and the serenity of the hymn allowed him to enter the ephemeral with minimal effort. Even within the ephemeral Hakoda kept his focus. Unyielding determination drove deep into his heart. "Truth is the name of this game. Soon there was silence. It filled Hakoda and the darkness of the back of his eyelids faded into soft light and, soon a vision of another, familiar yet foreign setting came into view.

Hakoda had come here before. It was an astral place as old as The Great Mother herself. And he stood now before a pair of parallel, nearly translucent Dragons. These beings were the ancient gate guardians that protected the entrance to the grand Temple that lay in the center of the realm. Despite their fierce demeanor Hakoda bore no fear. This was a prerequisite to gain entrance. He looked up at the dragonite imposers and they looked down at him. "Why have you come to this the holiest of grounds young traveler?" The dragons spoke with ultimate authority. It's hard for Hakoda to thin that they once roamed earth as gods. "I seek knowledge wise ones, answers to questions beyond mortal paws." He waited for their response...

The dragonite guardians lifted their wings which formed the doors that protected the threshold to the pathway that lead to the temple. The sheer magnitude of their rising wings caused a gale wind that could have easily knocked off most mortal males footing. But Hakoda's spiritual pressure steadied him. He had not been so lucky years ago. He bowed in honor to the guards and pressed onward through the gate and onto hollowed grounds.

Hakoda was still stark naked, normal for a cross dimensional expedition in shamanism. At least it was in his tradition. He could feel the power of the realm swirling around him. It was like a fusion of warm and cool winds circulating at once, pushing and pulling him all at the same time. For a young inexperienced shaman, which he once was, the current might be too strong and unstable to move with nor fight against. But Hakoda was now a grown Bear, a boar of 20 years. The energies weren't as strong as when he'd came here at the tender age of 13.

Hakoda pushed onward through the current and up a stairway that scaled the face of the mountain. Again, the mountain is always steeper to an inexperienced shamans. In 10 minutes, where it once took an hour, he had reached the peek. There was the temple.

Hakoda now enter the temple. The temple is a sacred site for anyone worthy of her power to access. Hakoda had come here 7 timed now, and each time before it was to honor The Create Mother. Except now he was here to gain knowledge... knowledge of the lost past.

Hakoda fell to his knees before a huge statue of a quadruped bear female. The large sow bore shimmering claws and eyes. They shinned like starlight. And she possessed an eternal pregnant belly. The mother of all Bear-kind. "My mother and mother of all things... I bid you bless me now with truth and knowledge..." Hakoda petitioned to the great sow and waited for his goddess to answer.

In time, the great lady's eyes shined brighter than before and her muzzle opened. A blinding white light flashed out and demolished Hakoda's sight. He toppled back onto the temple floor and was stricken unconscious.

At a point later in time the suns warm glow faded through his eyelids. Hakoda, momentarily confused, tried to shake his head but could not. He opened his eyes and sat up energetically. He felt different, like he wasn't where he should be. "I am in the forest," he thought to himself. "It is morning, and I am alive... wait" Hakoda realized the physical actions he was taking were not of his own accord. He got up. Hakoda tried to speak aloud but was unnerved to see his mouth wasn't his own. He did manage to identify part of his body. "I am a bear still... black fur... and... short black hair? Hakoda looked further at himself as he looked into a basin of water. He looked through this person's eyes. "Their eyes are light brown... and they're shorter"

Hakoda splashed water on his face and toweled it off. He got dressed, there were scattered cloths on the ground, and he was about to walk off when he heard his name being called. And elderly male voice of British accent crackled through the chilled air.

Chapter 3 Enter the Past

"Bernard... Bernard, my boy!... Bernard, where are you?" The voice was quite ancient yet it had some sort of feel to it that issued assured trust. Hakoda, now apparently Bernard, jogged spryly to a ransacked hovel. It was a small excuse of a shack and was probably 2 roomed, definitely 1 level. The only redeeming quality was that it was a historical beauty. She was covered in ivy and moss and it looked old European (presumably English) in design. The step leading up to the door creaked violently as Bernard entered the house.

The inside, however discouraging the outside looked, was warm and cozy. A roaring fire lite the room, with the exception of some candles., which was filled with plants, books, utensils, vines, bowels, tables, and rather comfortable looking red leather and velvet furniture. The walls looked solid and the floors sturdy. There was probably more to the house but the homey interior of this room took away any desire to explore anywhere else.

"I am here Daedalus. In the study" Bernard said this than let the regal writing on a parchment laying on a nearby table catch his eye. It appeared to be a summons to the home of one Lord Vincent Pawdorf the wealthy bachelor who owns the village and most of the land around it. That included the forestry their shack which sat in. In moments the elderly rabbit, brown and gray with large tired eyes, entered the room.

The old rabbit Daedalus shook his head in disapproval. "Bernard, my boy, you mustn't sleep in the field like some savage. Now, suppose Vincent would be stirring about and have caught you. He already plots against us at every turn. Conspiring with the townspeople and hosting audiences with her royal highness. As if Queen Elizabeth would truly bare interest in him" Daedalus scoffed at that idea. Hakoda sat back and watched the scene play out. Keeping mental notes of key points. "Yes, but Daedalus, he has made use of our remedies now. As came last Friday he is a patient of our medicines. He need us now." Hakoda thinks to himself about the previous comment. "This guy really seems confident. I hope that isn't a mistake..." Hakoda continues to listen.

Moments of listening has given Hakoda a descent feel for both where, and when, he is. England, middle class, Tudor reign... 1500s. Hakoda was an excellent young historian and had always been interested in English history since his mother had told him he had English ancestry when was 10 years old.

"Yes, well, maybe Lord Vincent isn't as appeasable as I thought." "What are you saying Daedalus? You know, you still haven't told me how it went past Friday..." "I ran into a snag. He asked more of me then I could provide. the Lord didn't take well to that. But I do have a solution" Daedalus spoke as though he was confident, but Hakoda caught the undertones. Daedalus was uncertain. Bernard on the other hand, was angry. Hakoda could feel the anger swelling up in his belly. He also felt suspicious of Daedalus. He was being far too vague. "Vincent is a big baby," Bernard mumbled under his breath.

Chapter 4 - Enter the Lake

Hakoda continue to listen into the conversation as Bernard and Daedalus continue to talk. "Daedalus, when are to going to the Lord's castle. I want to go with you..." "Oh, you must! I cannot go without my apprentice but my side." Daedalus walks to the fire to warm his hands. "And we leave at noon today... why don't you go and enjoy yourself. It's a beautiful day..." "Don't I have work to do?" Bernard picks up a leather bound book. "Any herbs you need gathered before we go?" Daedalus smiles. Hakoda see traces of regret. "You have been working are my ward for most of your life. Strait out of the orphanage and into my apprenticeship... you've had no real youth..." Bernard looked at his Guilds Master with a sort of exasperation. "I had a youth. It was full of frivolity in the forest. Picking out plants and playing in a kitchen. It was filled with spending time with a man who cared for me as I learned a valuable skill. I had a perfect life..." Daedalus looks at Bernard and Hakoda knows that look. the look of a proud father. He'd seen it in his on father's eyes a time ago. Bernard smiles at his master.

"Coriander... that's what I need Bernard. Yes, coriander, I think so" Daedalus took a seat in a close chair buy the fire. He seems to be exhausted. "Yes sir, I shell fetch it right away and be back in time for the carriage." As Bernard runs out the door Daedalus looks into the flames. They flicker and cast shadows that perhaps mean something more to Daedalus then one could ever hope to know. "Dark day," he whispers to himself. The fire continues to dance.

Bernard reaches a nearby local lake. He looks slowly around the forest floor for coriander and he manages to find some. He begins to line the messenger bag that is sash across his chest. After a moment of fruitful hunt he hears a splash. he turned his attention to the lake and throws his back against a tree. "A swimmer? In our lake?" Hakoda sensed a mix of surprise and general inquisition. Apparently this wasn't normal. "A visitor in his lake? It's just a person swimming... Does no one swim here?" Hakoda thought to himself.

In the lake are 2 figures. A tall one and a short one. Bernard looks closely. "They're lions... lion!" both he and Hakoda are confused to see lions bathing in a lake on an English countryside. The short figure is a lioness. He is quite beautiful. Her fur was a soft, light Picea wood color. Her hair short. she wore stunning make- up that, despite the water, didn't weaver. Her rump and breast were exposed as her tail swished in the water gingerly. She wore a golden belt that sat playfully on her midsection. The taller was a caramel furred stunner. Young, strapping with firm muscles and a gorgeous auburn mane. It lay somewhat flat due to the water but was still full of volume. The female scampered of into the bushes. Obviously she was done for the time. The male, on the other hand, continued to bath as such.

Chapter 5 - Enter the Lion

Bernard fell back onto the tree when the lion turned to reveal his front side. The sun danced on his glistening fur. "My God," whispered Bernard. He seemed captivated by the lion. He rubbed every inch of himself from ear to fore paw. An array of firm biceps, curved pecs, and rippling abs made this being to be almost otherworldly and tree truck thigh that supported the lot. Almost embarrassed, even Hakoda found his mind wondering to places best left in imagination as he gandered at this wet cat. his tail, long and playful, came around his thigh and brushed his phallus. As though a switch was turned buy and invisible force the lions cock spring to life. Slowly, like the morning sun, it rose. Hardening more and more as it ascended.

The lion kept washing himself as if he didn't notice his mounting member. Bernard continued to watch, his mouth slightly open and starting to water slightly. He licked his lips. Hakoda could feel the heat rising in the young bear's body. It was hard for Hakoda to blame him. And Bernard, who was new to all this in many ways, gave into his own lust and slid his hands down his own trousers. He griped his shaft lightly and began to churn. Hakoda was surprised at how sensitive it was. He of course could feel, but not control. The Lion turned to reveal his backside. Broad shoulders topped a strong slope that glided down into 2 golden globes separated by a long swishing tail. All this sat, again, a top a pair of firm unyielding thighs. Water gently streamed down from his shoulders to the nape of his back to his generous rump and down his thighs. "Damn it! Why the hell is he so sexy!? What reason could one have to possibly be that attractive!?" Hakoda's sexual pressure caused his to become impatient. But seeing as he was inside of another body he was limited in his actions. Bernard was drowning in his own hot bloodedness. He, at this point, had pulled out his member to expose it to air. He continued to stroke it calmly, although he was anything but...

Enough time had passed for the lion to pay some proper attention to his own complete erection, which he revealed to Bernard once more by going under and resurfacing in a manner that caused Hakoda to be skeptic of whether this was being done on purpose. His skepticism may very well have been checked. Bernard lay back his head and pressed on with his massage. The shaft was scaled as though built. Like the mass of a ship of grandeur the muscle stood unbending. The lion began to stroke himself. It pulsed and jumped in his paw. His paws, apparently, large enough to hold the monster unassisted. The lion and Bernard stroked themselves in unison beside and within the cool waters of the lake. But something happened as Bernard was bought back to consciousness. Bernard felt an anchoring gaze...

The lion was watching Bernard, still stroking himself steadily. The 2 were locked in gaze. They continued to move their paws in tandem but Bernard found it horribly difficult to look away. He began to sweat and his fore paw's digits began to curl. He bit his bottom lip and tried to pull away. The lion placed 1 paw behind his head and grinned, thrusting his hips forward enough to suggest. Bernard broke free by closing his eyes shut. The forlorn bear scrambled to his fore paws and turned heel. He may have made it a few feet but with his trousers at his knees there wasn't much for him to work with. I'm a moment the lion caught him. Bernard struggled to regain his freedom. The lions touch like fire glazing his skin. Hakoda realized Bernard only halfheartedly fought and he couldn't blame him for want to submit. The lion held Bernard hunched over and face down, his arm wrapped around the bear's midsection. Bernard elevated his rump to in some ill-gotten effort to buck the lion from atop of him. This caused him to grind roughly into the lion. The lion lowered his paw from Bernard's midsection and proceeded to fondle him. Bernard burned with the feeling of having his privates groped buy another male. His embarrassment was tempered by overall outrage when he felt the lion's member between his legs. The lion slathered his tongue over Bernard's ear and inserted his tongue inside of it. All this he did as he engaged with a constant rhythm. The lion would slowly slide his phallus to and fro, under Bernard's. His own cock longer then Bernard's by only so much.

In time Bernard gave into submission and rocked back into his captor and was at this point totally consumed by the feeling. The bear let out a soft moan. His captor grunted lustily into Bernard's ear as if to vocalize his sexual erraticism. It took no time before Bernard was driven to the brink of sexual devastation and released his life over the earth in a wild display of orgasmic intensity. Both he and Hakoda felt the pleasure take over his groin, shoot through his thighs causing them to shake, run down to his fore paws, and up his spine. Bernard curled his toes as lightning traveled through his body struck through his core. Topping off their climax was a lusty roar from both lion and bear. Bernard sat on his knees and did his best to catch his breath but did not have much time to do so. "Bernard, where are you lad? The carriage is on its way boy! Bernard!" It was Daedalus. His voice was faint and distant, thankfully for Bernard, but still audible.

The consequences of the outside world flooded back to Bernard in a snap. He quickly reclaimed his composure and started to run off towards his master but then stopped. He turned to look at the lion and saw his grinning muzzle. The lion turned heel and ran back towards the lake. "Wait, I..." Bernard went unheard as the lion dived back in the lake. "Bernard!," called Daedalus from the distance. Bernard, torn, took off for his master. The ground, still cold from the winter's past, seemed almost plasmic. Bernard felt for sure the ground that he would fall. But the youth held his footing. "Hmm, I think he was a virgin. He's certainly feeling as though that was his first time..." It took him no time at all to make a pliable excuse. "Sorry Daedalus, I fell out under a tree buy the lake. You said I should enjoy myself today, right..." "Ay, boy I did. But now we've to depart. The ferns whisper of approaching equestrian carriers. Our transport surely" "Yes Daedalus," Bernard replied. A careless breeze ran through the towering trees. Bernard carried the scent if spice upon his fur. A connection to his past moment lover. Hakoda couldn't help but find humor in all that had happened. It also stuck him in a way as a tad romantic. The shaman felt content to have been a part of it. But he still needed to know why he was here. In this time. In this body...
