A Perfect Beginning
This is the intro to my main chars story. A story I've worked on perfecting for over 7 years. A tale of a rabbit gaining everything he could ever desire. A perfect life makes for the perfect loss. This is part one of several detailing my chars back story and origins. Enjoy
Here I lay under foot of what my people called our savior. Now this Dragon of the order we worshiped is crushing me into the dirt with one massive paw while I can feel his massive energy piercing through the planet and shattering it to pieces. I never thought my life would take so many dramatic twists. Where should I begin? My kind were a race of tribal rabbits of whom been able to tap into the mystic energies of magick. While still primitive we made up for our lack in technology with manipulation of our energies. Our homes were made of stone slabs we had learned to shape and simple wooden doors. We had not the use of electricity but used colorful glowing flames we cast from our bodies, their color would reflect the color of energy that our bodies would create. Our favorite color tend to be the same color of our energies though we could not figure out why. Our communities were small, spread about on our moon sized planet. Yet our harmonies about life has kept our society peaceful. We couldn't even tell you the definition of war then. Our most common goal was working together. As I later learn to discover we had striven towards that goal far more then most. Finding our soul mate was only a beginning step towards working as one and we did so as early as possible. It wasn't uncommon for us to find our soul mate at the turning age of 16, set to live 50 years as one. The earlier we met our soul mate the closer we grew together.
As for me, well this rabbit was very lucky. I had met my soul mate at the age of 13. We knew at first sight like most do. We shared similar traits and those traits would only shift to make us both mirror reflections of each-other opposite in gender. In the common tongue her name translated closest to Sasha and mine translated to Snake. Mine was a bit more strange but I grew use to it in time. By the time we had reached the age of 17 both Sasha and myself had reached a pinnacle of likeness that took others all there life to reach. We both shared the same tan colored fur. Our eyes had matched each-other at emerald green. While a Jagged black marking ran down the left side of her body the mirror opposite ran down the right side of mine. We both shared a mix between blue and purple colored hair. We had reached our max matching height at five foot eight inches tall. We didn't even speak often to one another, some started to say we had grown telepathic to each-other. As our world was peaceful this didn't mean we never fought. One of the greatest ways to show a pair's abilities to work with one another was often tested in the challenging grounds crafted in a village not far from our own. These grounds was the eye of everyone one in our community. All of our kind young or old, male or female would watch or meet here. This was where our tournament was held. Couples confident enough to think they were the top team fighters
would challenge one another on friendly terms of competition. Of course Sasha and I were there, and you best believe we were one of the best. Even one year we manage to gain that very position.
My parents were very proud, though they always had a shadowy feeling of worry that seem to strengthen as Sasha and I grew closer together. I couldn't tell why though I knew it had something to do with the ones we served as our guardians. Our kind was blessed with the annual visit of our gods from above. Magnificent Dragon's not of our realm who have given us life and shared with us the knowledge of our mysticism. While there were several Dragon's of this Order who guided us our village only saw the graces of one in particular. Lord Serevious Draconis which is Draconic for the Watcher Dragon. Lord Serevious was always an unmeasurable joy to see. A Light brown color, western Dragon of whom stood normally at thirty six feet tall at his shoulders. He could easily change his size if needed but usually didn't. Though non other his size could I have said was more gentle. Many of us ran to him giving his for-paw a hug, to which he would hug back with his mighty paw but it was a warm embrace that carried no harm nor threat but only pure love.
The Order had one unbreakable rule however, to not physically interfere with the events of any on the mortal planes. Sharing with us there wisdom was as far as they could bend that rule for us, However I've found this rule was actually broken. Before I was born Lord Serevious came to my parents with a material gift. Something unheard of from the Order. To my Mother and Father Lord Serevious gifted them two swords. These Black colored Dragon Claw Katanas were made of a material we couldn't determine. Etched with Draconic language. They were to be kept safe with my parents until the day comes when they would be needed. This weighed heavily on my parents as they had grown old by this time and they were obviously meant to be passed down. No one could have guessed what Lord Serevious knew then and how his actions would affect so many outcomes. To me, those swords became haunted memento's that stung at my spirit every time they were held.~The Wanderer
