Alex shivered as he looked up at his new school; "Everfield Secondary College" bore the inscription on the sign over the office door. He looked behind him, hoping to find his dad in his hatchback gesturing and encouraging him to explore his new school. He didn't see his dad or his car; he saw a tigress drop off her son and drive off. Alex sighed; dad had driven off to work without saying goodbye. He ran his right paw through his red head fur and swished his vulpine tail nervously. "Damn dad's work," Alex cursed silently, "if it wasn't for Dad's job, I would be back home, with my friends, where I belonged."

Alex was a 16 year old fox. He had green eyes that were dotted with brown and sparkled slightly, red fur that ended in a black tip at the end of his tail, the tips of his ears, and all his paws save one. The remaining front-right paw was the same creamy white colour that was splashed along the underside of his muzzle and down his chest. He was lean and average in height. Apart from his nerves and white paw, he looked like any other fur, and was grateful for the fact at that point in time.

Alex sighed again as he gathered up his courage and walked into the building. A mare with a kind smile looked up at him. "Why hello, and what can I do for you?" Alex blushed and cursed himself for doing so.

"Um, hi," he said nervously, "I'm new here, and I don't know where to go, year 10."

"Ah yes, that's right. Alex Rei I believe?" The fox nodded. "Right. Here, this is your timetable and a map of the school. If you need any help just ask one of the teachers." Alex stammered his thanks as he looked at the map, silently thanking his dad's foresight to bring him to school early.

With help from a few students, Alex finally found the locker bay. It was packed; he was entertaining the notion of barging his way through when a sapphire blue dragon did exactly that. He was huge, strong and even he was having a tough time. Alex grimaced decided that it would probably be best to wait the rampage out . The fox realised he wasn't alone in that decision. He looked across the bay and saw a tiger, large enough to probably be in the school football team, looking back at him with amusement in his light, hazel eyes. Alex ran his eyes over the tiger's arms, tracing each well defined muscle. The sheer size was making go weak in the knees. He looked at the tiger's face again, and could see him chuckling slightly. Alex blushed and turned away, trying to be rid himself of his thoughts. After all, he'd only been in school for twenty minutes; he didn't really want people to know, not yet.

He turned back to see the tiger making his way towards Alex. He yelped and looked for a way out.

"Great," he thought frantically, "if he caught me looking at him, I'm in for a real thumping, within my first thirty minutes of school!" It was too late, the tiger closed in on him. Alex turned his back, keeping his head down and pretending not to notice him. He closed his eyes, waiting for a shove, a punch, some angry words, or something to that effect. Nothing happened, instead, he heard,

"Hey, you new around here?" Alex turned, relieved he wasn't going to be bashed, and closed his eyes again. Now close up, he could reach out and touch the muscles bulging in his thick arm. He tried not to think about it as his shook the tiger's hand, noticing how it practically enveloped his white paw.

"Yeah, the name's Alex."

"Nice to meet you Alex. I'm Zack."

After the first three lessons of school, Alex and Zack became good friends; they compared class charts, and found that on most occasions that both their lessons were the same. When it came to recess, Zack introduced the fox to several of his friends.

"Hey guys," he called as he waved them over, "say hello to Alex, he's new here." Alex waved, another two were athletes as well, a husky and an arctic wolf. They both had strong builds, towered at around 7 feet and looked at him intensely, making Alex shift his weight from foot to foot slightly.

"Um... hi." the fox wished the two canines would stop staring at him. It made him feel small and exposed.

It was a small brown rat that broke the tension.

"Hiya, the name's Jack." The rat extended a paw cheerfully. The rat's eyes were tawny and alive with mischief. He wore a pair of black jeans, and a navy shirt that had N.A.C. on the back. Alex shook the paw offered, grateful for the interruption. An otter stepped up to meet him next.

"Murray." He stated, shaking the fox's paw. Murray was rather tall and lean. He moved with balance and grace. His eyes were a dark brown, like the colour of the earth after a rain. He wore a pair of three-quarter lengths and a tight-fit black t-shirt. The wolf stopped staring and simply named himself.

"Blair." The white wolf's head-fur was tied back, reaching a small way past his shoulders. His dark blue eyes were hard, as if guarding something. Alex turned to the husky and winced; the husky was still staring until Blair stepped on his foot.

"Oh," the husky snapped from his daze. "My name's Avery." His hazel eyes looked troubled as he averted them, his white fur turning slightly pink around his cheeks. All three of the athletes wore pretty much the same thing, except Blair wore a red and white jacket; Alex suspected it to be the schools colours.

They sat in the cafeteria and talked about their likes and dislikes. Zack and Blair were on the football team, Avery was a forward in soccer, Murray was a gymnast and Jack was a sprinter for the athletics team. Alex felt out of place as he told them he was a pianist. They were intrigued at his talent, and Zack announced that the fox had to perform for them sometime soon. The tiger was really nice, he's even asked Alex over for the night the next day. Alex was astounded at all the friends he's made, and it was all thanks to Zack.

After recess, all of them had P.E. Alex was more nervous than ever, his tail wrapped around his leg as he moved from foot to foot. In the changing room, the fox averted his gaze from everyone. Zack was able to get him a locker next to his, and that's what worried him the most. If he refused, it would seem rude. So there he was, standing right next to the fur whose body made his heart skip a beat. Alex hadn't gotten changed yet, he was waiting for Zack to finish up so the tiger wouldn't see his growing stiff. "Hurry up, Coach Crellen doesn't like to be kept waiting."

"Ok," Alex muttered "you go on and ill catch up."

"You sure?"

"Yeah, see you out there."

"K."

The fox sighed, relieved that he could get changed; all he had to do now was make it through the showers.

Coach Crellen was a very big bear. His muscles rippled underneath his skin as he ran with and beat everyone else in a sprint, save Jack and another leopard, who where the taunting the bear about it afterward. Alex had met the Coach earlier. The bear was really nice, but always had that ability to make you want to shrink of and hide. He was in a good mood today.

"Hello Alex, how do you like school so far. Made any friends?"

"Yeah, I've made friends with Zack, who introduced me to the rest off his group."

"Indeed?" Alex looked in the Coach's eyes, and saw a glimmer of confusion, very tiny but present in the bears face. The fox wondered what it meant.

"Yep, and he's invited me over for the night tomorrow." Coach Crellen shook his head, as if trying to clear his thoughts. "Well good luck with that. I would also like you to try out for hurdles, you almost were up front in the sprint, and you seem to have enough balance to jump and land on two feet."

"You mean it? I've never tried hurdles before,"

"I think you'll be really good at it."

"Ok, thankyou Coach" and with that, Alex ran up to Zack to tell him the news.

Alex was really happy, if he got into the athletics team; he'd be able to fit in better with his new friend group. On that note, Alex forgot where he was, what he was, and who he was with. Alex went to his locker, deftly pulled of his sport gear so he was left in just a jockstrap, and turned make his way to the showers, towel and shampoo in each hand.

He stopped in his tracks; right in front of him was Zack, removing all his clothing. Alex gulped as he saw Zacks abs fully, well defined and strong. The fox felt himself hardening, but what got him most is that he could easily see the tigers's member through his briefs, his cock-head easy to trace. Alex ran for one of the private showers, hoping Zack didn't see his hard on.

Alex thanked his stars that his last two classes were a double music. It gave him some time to compose an excuse if anyone saw him earlier. When the bell went, the fox quickly threw all his books into his locker - which was again next to Zack's - that he didn't need for homework, and walked briskly to the parking lot. Alex waved to Zack, who was making his way towards the fox, and jumped into his dad's car. The tiger winked at him. Alex started and looked around, hoping no-one else caught the wink that he hoped - and feared - was for him.

"So, how was your first day?" Alex's father, Steven, asked.

"Yeah, it was good..." the fox tried to keep the stunned tone out of his voice. "I made some new friends already."

"Really, well that's good,"

"Yeah, and one of them, has asked me over tomorrow night."

"Great, that didn't happen to be the tiger who winked at you, was it?" Alex jumped for a second time. And his father grinned at him. "How did he know?"

"Well..." the fox mumbled, he blushed, "I think he caught me looking at him." His father chuckled,

"You need to be more careful, not all people accept you for what you are Alex." Alex sighed, he had no idea how many times he'd heard that lecture, and zoned out as his dad drove him home.
