WestWood Part.2
#2 of WestWood
Jess Smiled as she stepped of the crowded bus and gazed around her new campus. They called the campus "Westwood Correctional High School for the Wayward Teenager." Jess laughed at the title, staring at her new play pen. A large red brick building, with two wings on both ends of the campus. The East and West sides were long, almost hall like buildings that stretched a good length across the campus. Large amounts of graffiti scrawled across almost every inch of available space, from elaborate gang tags to the basic "Steve was here." The wings were interconnected by a large, old clock tower that the students called "Old George." The sun beamed brightly through the barbed wire fence that surrounded the campus, which were littered with small metal signs that said "Caution Electric Fence." Jess seemed to doubt this highly, but then again, she looked to her new potential class mates. The rowdy students stood in large, huddle groups, all either puffing cigarettes or chomping cigars. Jess could see a lot of them exchanging small baggies filled with a green, flaky substance. A lot of them were stocking up on paper wads and air planes for the days classes, as well as creating wet wad blowpipes, taking their target practice on unwilling friends. Jess twitched as she felt a slight, wet sting hit her on the back of her head, and quickly gazed over to a large, fat panda bear who was chuckling under his breath. He looked almost like Gene Simmons with all that make up on. Jess just smiled as she waved to him kindly, smiling friendly, as he flipped her off with a large, yellow grin. Jess giggled, as she took it to be his way of saying "Hello, my dear friend. I do look forward to seeing you again" in one single, swift finger movement. She looked up at the clock tower that adorned over the school, and waved to the armed guard who stood up there with a pair of binoculars and a 2 way radio. She couldn't tell, but she thought he just flipped her the bird as well.. "Must be the new way of saying 'Hi'." She smiled as she looked at other potential classmates. Aside from the uniformed white shirt and red and black pants, these people had style Jess could agree with. Dog collars, studs, piercings , chains, and a LOT of fishnet. And the hair spoke for its self. Liberty spikes, Mohawks, emo flips, and some with the heads shaved bald. Jess kept a smile as she walked by all the big, burly security guards who kept a close eye on her and her classmates. A lot of them we're big, fat slobs, and didn't look like could catch a cheeseburger more than they could catch an athlete like her. Jess gazed around and saw Johnny hanging with a large group of furs, with a cloud of smoke so big that looked as if a fog had descended over them. She quickly ran into a jog, dragging her bag behind her. She was a few feet away, when she felt a large, blunt stick ram into her stomach. She lost her breath for a moment, but managed to stay on her feet. She looked at the long, black steel rod buried in her stomach, which was attached to a big, fat pig who snorted as she looked at her.
"You looking at something?" he said in a heavy Brooklyn accent.
"I was just.." The pig snorted again as he lent over and whispered in her ear. His breath was hot and sweaty, and smelt of fish and garlic.
"I like your thong, but your skirts rolled to high..." Jess was just in total shock. No one couldn't have noticed her thong unless they were deliberately checking her out. Jess figured if she WAS going to be checked out today, it wasn't going to be by a fat, slob of a Rent-A -Cop.
"And as much as I like staring at the fine ass of yours.." The pig grunted.
"We enforce a strict dress policy here. So your gonna have to pull it down." Jess just nodded as she rolled down her skirt just over top of the bottom of her butt. The security guard smiled and snorted as he removed the blunt object from her abdomen and smiled a disgustingly fake smile.
"Sorry for hurting that pretty little body of yours." He smiled as he picked up his walkie talkie before looking over to the scene kids who had obviously broke out into a small riot. Jess looked up to the Clock tower as the guard above rushed down to investigate, carrying what looked to be like another Billy club. Jess smiled as she walked quickly away from the riot and saw Johnny talking with his fellow anarchists, as she happily decided it was time to make friends.
"More like allies" she thought in her head. She practically bounced over to the group of shady boys, and smiled as she saw Johnny sliding a small bag of white powder into his shirt pocket as he handed a tall, muscular serpent a wad of twenties as big as her fist. Johnny quickly noticed Jess at his side, and spoke up to his accomplices.
"All right mates." Johnny said in that thick accent. "This here is our new friend, Jess." Jess smiled as everyone briefly looked at her, before heading back to their daily chat. Johnny frowned slightly.
"Aren't any of you pricks gonna be a nice and say hello?"
They seemed to mumble under their breath, as Johnny let out a quick sigh.
"Fine, I'll do it... bunch of wankers.." Johnny pulled out a cigarette out of his pocket and stuck it in his mouth, as he pulled a gold Zippo from his shirt and gave it a quick flick, as the flame sprung to life. He put it to his mouth and gave a few quick puffs, inhaling deeply, and started the introductions.
"This here is Mad Dog." He pointed to a large, black Doberman who was angrily gritting his teeth on a cigar. His fur was deep black, with a bright brown under belly. He was very well toned and he obviously didn't have the manners to say hello.
"And this here is CandleJack." Jess store at the slender husky, whose fur was a smoky grey, as if he was covered in ash. His eyes were a deep blue, about the only thing on his body that wasn't that smoky grey. He was rather small in stature, not extremely thin, but still rather ting compared to his fellow friends. He gently nodded, puffing away at a cigarette before hacking rapidly.
"This here is Twitch." He pointed to a shaky little thing of a fox that was to busy shaking and mumbling to notice her. His fur was bright red, except for a few patches of a dingy brown that looked almost like rotten coffee. His hands were wrapped around his sides as he gently rocked back and forth, mumbling something along the lines of "The gnomes are gonna get me.." Johnny smiled as he stood under the lumbering frame of a cobra and chuckled, looking over at Jess and back the gigantic serpent. "And THIS..."
He stood under the massive frame of the snake he was talking to before. "Is Silas."
Jess looked up at his massive 7 foot frame, as she felt her self almost melt into nothing under his immense, intimidating size. He was huge and muscular, and he scales looked as hard as steel. His skin was pitch black, and his underbelly was a deep red, almost like blood. His arms we're full of pure, undeniable serpent muscle, and his long, snake like tail lay coiled under him. Johnny just smiled as he saw Jess began to shake, as he took a drag of his cigarette.
"Hey Silas, Show me new mate the eyes." Johnny smiled as he glanced over to Jess who was frozen stiff. Silas lent over the tiny zebra and lifted off a long black hood. Jess stared into the pale, yellow eyes of a snake. A large, jagged scar ran across his cheek, as his pale yellow eyes seemed to be cold and dead, as if it was rotten from the inside. She could only stand their as he store into her soul. He chuckled as he stood up and took a cigarette from Johnny, who was holding the pack up to him.
"Twitchy little thing, no?" Silas spoke in a deep, serpentine tone.
"Yeah, but she's cool. You gonna pay me for that, right? Cigarettes don't grow on trees you know." Johnny said looking at the massive snake, puffing his cigarette as it came close to the filter.
"Maybe." Silas slithered. "If it's not that shit you had last week."
"Hey" Johnny piped up. "Menthols ain't shit. Their for men who appreciate the finer things and.." Before he could finish, Silas butted in.
"They're for pussies, that's who their for." He took his massive fist and gently nudged Johnny's shoulder.
"And you ain't a pussy, are you Johnny?"
"Of course not!" Johnny looked over to Jess who was still frozen in fear. He wrapped his arm around her as he took a final drag of his cigarette before flicking it to the ground. "You don't need to worry about old Silas here. Harmful as a kitten he is." Jess took a deep breath as she regained consciousness. "go-good to know..."
"Now." Johnny said. Jess looked over to the handsome rat as he smiled gently. "We've gotta give you an Alias. Something to make you into one of us."
Silas smiled. "Yeah, one of us." He said puffing his cigarette, tightening his coils under him.
"Yeah, we all got them, you need one to." CandleJack said in a raspy voice before breaking out in an asthma attack.
"Well then." Johnny said lighting another cigarette. "What's it gonna be love? You can have any name you want." Johnny smiled as Jess tried to decide. A million words ran through her head, trying to think of the right words to describe her peppy, promiscuous lifestyle. Thousands of combinations ran through her mind before she thought of the perfect one. Jess smiled as she spoke to her new partners in crime.
"Call me... Luna Lovely."
Johnny nodded, as he said the name in his head. "Yeah yeah, I dig it, got a ring to it, it does." Johnny held out his hand to Jess and smiled, his cigarette hanging out the side of his mouth. "Welcome to the Anarchy club, Miss Luna Lovely." He took Jess's hand in his as he did a prince like bow. Jess giggled as she played along as she fakes a blush. Funny how someone who believed in a government free world somehow knew how bow like a prince. Johnny stood back up and re joining his fellow anarchists, who were all puffing away on cigarettes. Jess stood there for a moment, feeling uneasy as no one spoke. Johnny took a quick drag of his cigarette as he look to Jess, just standing there.
"What's a matter love? Don't have a smoke?"
Jess began to blush. "I.. I don't.."
Johnny smiled as he pulled a cigarette out of a silver case and handed one to her. "gotta have one love, I promise their the BEST on campus."
"Unless their menthols." Candlejack chimed in, taking a drag before hacking up his lungs again.
"Forget you guys.." Johnny said as he puffed his cigarette before throwing it to the ground. Jess tried to smile as Johnny handed her a stick, as he took the lighter and lit it. Jess couldn't decide. Was she gonna look like a fool in front of her new friends by turning down this gracious offer? "Not today you don't" Jess thought inside her head. She put the stick in her mouth as Johnny stuck the lighter to the tip. Jess had never smoked before, so she tried to inhale right off the bat. She took a deep inhale, and almost died the second after. Jess practically threw up from the strong waft of smoke filling her virgin lungs, as she stared at everyone laughing.
"She takes it like a bitch.." twitch mumbled, shaking heavily before he began to mumble to him self again.
Johnny smacked Twitch in the back of his head as he took another drag. "HEY!" Twitch yelled.
"Oh yeah? I remember when you first tried smoking Twitch. You threw up all over your mom's Persian carpet, you did." Johnny smirked, looking at Twitch who had now reverted back to his inane mumbling.
Jess smiled as she took another drag, this time finding it much easier. The thick smoke filled her mouth, as she blew it out through her nose. "That can't be good for my allergies" she thought to her self.
Jess stood with her friends for a few moments before she looked over to the metal heads. She scanned their faces for a few seconds, before she saw that familiar face. Her jaw dropped as she saw him for the first time in years. "NATHAN!" she dropped her bag as she ran over to him and wrapped her arms around him. Nathan almost toppled over from the sudden attack, but he regained his footing as he stroked her head lovingly.
"Hey babe. Long time no see." He said as tears began to well up in Jess's eyes.
"I missed you so much." Jess moaned softly. "I know babe." He lifted her chin so she could look him in the face. She looked at the gentle face of the large wolf. His silver grey fur glistened in the sun, as his lip and nose rings gleamed as well. He wrapped the long arms of his trench coat around her, hugging her close. "But we're back together now, and NOTHING is gonna split us up..."
Suddenly, Jess's ears rung out loud as the screech of the clock towers bell rung out loud.
"Except that." Nathan joked, scratching his head. He picked his bag up and threw it over his shoulder. He looked back at Jess and smiled. "Listen babe, I'll catch you after class, okay?" Nathan had the voice of an angel, a voice that could make anyone melt. Jess smiled.
"Of course. I'll be counting the minutes." Jess smiled, as Nathan smiled back, before one of the security officers screamed through a megaphone.
"All right maggots! Socializing time is over! Get your measly little asses to class before we tear gas you all!" it screeched to a halt as everyone picked up their bags and shuffled in through the doors.
"I better go." Just as Jess lent in for her first kiss in ages, Nathan was already making a dash for the door, his fellow metal heads following close by. She felt a sudden disappointment as Johnny snuck up behind her again and leaned on her shoulder, puffing his cigarette one last time before throwing it to the ground. "Who was that love?" Jess smiled looking over to Johnny. "A old friend.." She sighed loudly.
"Well," Johnny threw his bag over his shoulder. "We better get to class; they're not joking about the tear gas." Jess nodded as she picked up her bag and hustled into her new school, waiting the moment when she would be with him, together again.
Johnny stopped for a moment just out side the school, looking at a beautiful bronze plate engraved into the brick re walls of the school. Jess leaned over to read the inscription in her head. "Westwood High School. Helping Your Teens On The Way To Recovery Since 1862." Johnny grunted as he took a black sharpie out of his back pocket and began to scribble over the grimy bronze. He wrote quickly and efficiently, before standing back and chuckling, sliding the sharpie back in his pocket. Jess smiled as she re read the inscription. Written in a scratchy, dripping ink, the school's motto read the following "West Wood High School. Fucking Your Teens Over On The Way To Recovery Since 1862." At the end of the sentence Johnny drew his trade mark Anarchy A. Jess giggled as she admired Johnny's work. "That's a bit better, eh love?" Johnny snickered. Jess giggled as she wrapped her arms around Johnny's. "I think you and me are gonna get along really well, Mr. Napalm." Johnny grinned as he continued into the large wooden doors of the school, pushing them out of his way, dragging Jess along with him. "Couldn't agree more, Miss Luna Lovely." She smiled as she walked through the wooden arch and into the dingy halls of Westwood.
