(Authors note: When blasting through some of my old works I bumped into the first of a series that I believed long since deleted. Since I wrote the origional years ago (and its quite bad really) I decided to have a little rewrite, changing pretty much everything except the bast concept. I\'m quite happy with it considering that it was typed on a pda with a keyboard the size of a postage stamp (damn, my thumbs hurt.) Sorry for all of the random slashes, for some reason the pop up on any posts that I submit using this thing. I hope that you enjoy it and please rate and review!)

Shin and Light - Chapter One

Shin: On wings of passion I will carry on.

The fox grunted as he shifted his weapon, the point of his halberd slicing past his left shin, its slipstream causing a ripple effect in the midnight fur that covered his lower legs. Using the momentum of the descending weapon, he swept it up and across, a crimson arc accompanying the whistling sound as the edge cut the air. He span his body, sweeping his back leg to the front, tracing a semi-circle with his bare feet on the lacquered wood as he reversed his stance. The form was true. Perfect. The spike adorning the point of the weapon splintering a training dummy as he slammed home a thrust, the wood crumpled under his blow. The sudden stop of his body caused the transfer of tears from his face to what remained of his target. He glanced up, surveying the reflection of the carnage that his sadness had wrought. Surrounded by splintered wood, the foxes image shimmered in the glass, he slammed the reverse point of his weapon into the ground in an effort to look more imposing, the appearance of a fighter being one of the few that didn't make him feel so weak. Rearing at about six feet and with the blood red tassel that laced the head of his halberd, blowing in the faint wind of an open window, he had to admire the effect. He moved closer, the white of his chest complimentary to the silver cross and chain that laced about his neck. Dark hands grasped the wooden shaft of his polearm and another tear touched down by his feet. A rolled up pair of slacks covered him, their tan shade blackened, the material lightly frayed from use. He met his own eyes, lost in his own grey gaze, his ailments clawed at him from the depths of his mind. Another emergency meeting turned banquet, another embarrassing ritual where his parents attempt to pair him off with whichever foreign officials daughter suited them. Yet none had taken his fancy. Too regal, spoiled and as corrupt as their scheming fathers. He sighed dejectedly. Sixteen; he was already sixteen yet had yet to feel a woman's warmth. His elder brothers were paired up with nobles of neighbouring countries, their increased wealth as dowry and their 'taming methods' to ensure an obedient wife well suited them. Yet he remained alone. Scorned by his father, barred from councils and left alone most of the day slashing equipment to pieces in his private dojo. He glanced down, erasing the droplet that was a tear from the ground with his foot. The fox bowed to his reflection, pulled the halberd from the ground and began once more.

The rays of a dying sun set the city aglow, the sky alight with silver and gold; The sandstone of the sprawling buildings bore a pink hue as the evening lights struck; Narrow channels ran through the streets, bearing water from underground, the oasis of the capital a haven from the shifting desert sands spreading to the horizons. Even now at this late hour, merchants still peddled their wares in the vast bazaar that was this centre of commerce, the areas bordering with the palace a heaving mass of sound and colour. There she walked, among the crowds, within the melting pot of cultures and wares where only one principle mattered: money. In the drab rags that shrouded her, the vixen flitted from stall to stall, purse to purse, each time her hand extending and returning with a new prize. She grinned under the hood, shuffling up to a stall, pausing as if to examine the items on display. The moment the keeper turned to tend to a customer, her hand reached out, grasping a bottle of some amber liquid. By the time the merchant looked back, she was gone. Rounding the corner, she shrugged off the shawl. Blond hair cascaded to her waist, blue streaks racing through it, a remarkable contrast to fur of rouge. Light green shorts and shirt concealed her, a short sword hung on a leather cord at her waist, the silver reflecting the remainder of the light where the scabbard had worn through. It was a lonely life, being on the run, stealing for a living, glancing over ones shoulder at every opportunity expecting someone to be there, blade bared. Yet there was no remise from the potential of one of 'them' catching up with her. She had spotted two in town today, shuffling down a back alley alongside a dozen or so refugees. Every time she slept, she feared for herself. Fighting to survive had given her at least some edge though.

She glanced around, seeking sanctuary where she could survey what she had taken, a lone building on the outskirts of the palace catching her eye. Shouldering her pack, she made for it, pulling out the bottle as she went. She raised it, turning and walking backwards to avoid casting shadow over it, the contents sloshed about as light shined through. She shrugged, removed the stopper and downed it in one; cringing as the fiery liquid slid down her throat. "Disgusting. I don't see why the men enjoy this so much..." She staggered slightly before continuing. The thief paused at the entrance, holding her head against the wood. Silence. She entered, softly closing the door behind her as it glided on silent hinges. Heavy breathing forced her to look up, a fox stood alone in the centre of the area, leaning against some polearm akin to those used by the town guardsmen and staring into his own reflection. Thinking fast she ducked behind a nearby pillar, placing her bag down and drawing her blade.

"I'll just knock him out and I can lie low here..." Ducking from pillar to pillar, careful to prevent him from seeing her reflection, she stepped closer. "Young, handsome... Probably rich too. Some people have it all." she tilted her wrist, momentum allowing her a quick spin of her weapon before she sprang.

He paused for a moment, breathing halting, a faint whistling noise behind him, too light to reach the ears of most caught his. Without hesitation, he dove forwards, twisting his back foot around as he went, adding a spiral to his jump. His halberd slashed across before his back struck the floor, forcing him to slide until his head thudded against the wall. A clang as a blade was sent flying. A dull thud as it impaled a nearby dummy, breaking its stand as it fell. His assailant took a step towards it but the polearm had already left his hand, slamming into the pillar infront of her and quivering. Disorientated, he twisted in an attempt to right himself. Before he gained his feet she was upon him, biting, scratching and cursing through a tangle of blond hair. He bellowed as her teeth found his neck, jaws to tear with, pulling yet failing to pierce him. Acting instinctively as she grappled his bare back he gripped arms, throwing over his head with a grunt, in a single fluid motion she was ejected from him, slamming into a pillar before hitting the ground with a rather horific crunch.

"Oh... Hell..." he moved forwards, brushing hair aside and placing fingers on her throat. A pulse. "At least I'm not a murderer now." he looked her up and down, breath catching in his throat. A female, perhaps a year younger than him, different than any he had seen before. Scruffy rather than elegant, dirty yet beautiful. He turned away, a light blush across his face, fortunately concealed by the colour of his fur. Getting to his feet he took a step or two away before turning to the side, pacing, his heartbeat slowed as he tried to divine a way out. "What do I do now? She went for me, I should turn her in and be done... But it just feels so-"

A knock at the door, "Shin...? Are you in there?" the voice was familiar, "I'm going ahead, meet you back at your place." The sound of a female giggling joined his. "Later!"

He grunted in answer, shaking his head and barring the door before continuing his ramblings. "I turn her in and... Attacking one of my status... Executed..." He couldn't do it. "If I... Guess there's no choice..." Bowing down and observing the wound on her head from which blood now leaked he formed his resolve. Lifting his shirt from the ground, he tore a strip, constructing a makeshift bandage before lifting her up. She was as light as a feather. "Shin... You must be insane."

*****

Shin sighed, taking a deep breath as the sunlight began to dispel the shadow of the night, chasing darkness across his room before the glare reached him and the beds occupant. Rich brown rugs littered the wooden floor, empty amphora of wine strewn around like spilled jewels. Oak furniture dotted about the room, couches, lounges, tables, and more than one weapon chest. He sat in an armchair now, fur lined and warm from the desert night, missing sleep as he watched over the bed and its occupant. She stirred now, the white linen rustling as she rolled over groaning. A clean white bandage adorning her head, almost like a bandanna. He leaned his head into his hands, massaging behind his ears. What a night: It was hard enough smuggling her in without the guards midnight rounds and the sound of Rowen screwing whichever 'lucky' girl he had ensnared that afternoon, granted it was muffled from the other side of the complex. With so many people moving through the palace it was easy for him to get some action then never see them again. "How... Ungentlemanly." He thought, even so, he envied the confidence of his cousin. Returning to reality he looked upon the girl. Her eyelids fluttered slightly, as if trying to open and failing. Shin leaned closer as she finally snapped to attention, looking at him fearfully, cerulian eyes wide; before shuffling against the headboard as if expecting him to stab her. He sat back, raising his hands, "Relax, I'm not going to hurt you."

Silence for a few moments, "Where... Am I?"

He glanced at the floor as she slid back down the headboard, rubbing her head. "I... Couldn't just turn you in, it's not in me to condemn someone to death so I... Took you back to the palace."

"The palace... Am I... safe here?"

His face brightened, "Of course. Uh... I am Shin. You are?"

"Kris... Please..." her head dropped back onto the pillows, "Don't let them... Take me..." Her focus seemed to fade.

He placed his left fist over his heart, clenching the pendant that he wore. "Who wants to take...?" But she was already unconscious.

~ Now that... Was a very, very stupid thing to do. ~ He was waiting in the hallway, curled up on a chair when Shin left the room. The white dragon surveying him lazily from his position, his serpentine features twisted into a frown. Silver scales lined his stomach, neck and chest, lessening as they progressed along his tail. Wings folded neatly across his back, seemingly overlarge for a dragon that would grow no larger than two foot high, five from head to tip of a snakelike tail.

"Enough, Light. It's not like I had a choice."

~ Regardless, I know what you're thinking... But taking her in won't be the same as- ~

"Can we stop talking about this please?" Shin put his back to the door, sliding down it while staring either way down the corridor. Rooms were posted on either side, white doors almost blending into white plaster - knobs of some plainly coloured wood in their centers. Only two rooms were occupied at the moment, his and Rowens, at least it was silent now. The odd chair was all that filled the space between, a skylight across the entire length of the complex allowing the sun to light the space.

~ Fine... But there is one thing you'll be interested to hear: He's found a home for Water. ~

Shin raised an eyebrow, "I still remember the day you came to me... Only five left if Water has a home - Any idea who the new master is?"

~ Only that it's a female, as Water is herself... Anyway, it's more important to sort out the mess you've got yourself into first. Unfortunately, I'll be unable to help you, I need to assist Water. ~

Shin sniggered, "Assist? More like seek an opportunity to have your way with her..."

~ You know this insight works both ways right? There's no way you'd have picked up that girl if she hadn't been so attractive... ~

Shin gaped fishlike for a few moments, as if trying to pick out some choice words to counter and failing. He settled for blushing and staring at the ground.

~ By all means, enjoy yourself... I'd best be off, he's waiting on the outskirts of town. Later, I should be back in eight or nine days. ~ The dragon crouched, silver claws digging into the lavender material covering the chair before springing. He shot upwards, through an open pane of the skylight and was gone.

Shin got to his feet, "Shes gonna be about for at least a few days before her wounds have healed... Guess I'm gonna have to let Rowen know too..." He paused at his door, hoping that he wasn't about to catch his cousin in the act. "Gods help me..."

It had been almost a week since she had joined the household yet already she suited the place as well as any other guest. The food was good, as was the company, all that one truly needs in life. The complex was beautiful, inhabited by only the rare guest, though there had been none yet since she moved in, and the permanent residents: Shin and Rowen. She chuckled: The wolves frequent passes flattered her and it was always enjoyable to blow him out of the water. Shin however seemed more shy and withdrawn, blushing whenever she got even remotely intimate. After discovering that she didn't really have anywhere to go back to he had immediately granted her the use of one of the rooms - eastern facing over the city with a wonderous veiw, oposite his infact. Though the places greatest asset was the secure feeling she had, safety from the men who hunted her beyond the palace gates. She relished the feeling of her shy exterior melting away to be replaced with the warmth of belonging. Kris grinned, shoveling rashers of bacon onto her plate as Shin and Rowen argued over the latest tournament results. Each morning was the same daily ritual of breakfast and lighthearted discussion. She glanced at the duo, the wolf gesturing a violent motion with a bagette. Dark brown fur covered the majority of his body, his chest and face the colour of almond; hazel eyes peered out beneath prominent eyebrows. Garbed in fashionable cloth and experienced as he was, it was unsurprising that he always wound up with the girl. He placed Shin into a headlock, "So, Kris, you decided to go on that date with me yet?"

She bowed her head, finnishing a mouthful of her food, "I'm still thinking about it."

"Best hurry up and think or you'll be stuck with Shin." The fox blushed heavilly before twisting free and bopping Rowan over the head with the bagette.

"You say it like that's a bad thing!" He dropped into his seat, snorting and grabbing a plate.

The wolf dropped down besides him, "Oh, you got your eye on someone then? That settles it, one date, Kris? Please?"

She shook her head, "No chance, one date is all it takes you from what I've heard. Shin's got more of a chance than you."

He chuckled, "Just as well I guess, a delegation from Aran is due within the hour, so I'll be off to see if there are any lovely ladies about. See you two tonight." the wolf bent down to her, getting a spare piece of sausage rather than the kiss he was after, he shrugged as if to say 'worth a shot.' and wandered towards the exit, "Don't you guys try anything while I'm not here!"

"Later!" A chime in usion from the remaining pair. Kris bowed her head, staring into her plate; the last time she had been alone with him she'd had a blade drawn, not counting the few times she had attempted to flirt with him, her comments flying over his head for the time before Rowen returned from whatever his pursuits were. It was odd, though she didn't know him so well, just the little things he did, the blushes, the smiles; his aura drew her to him. "Rowen was right, this guy is insanely slow... Guess I'll try a more direct approach."

Shin glanced up, "You say something?"

"Nope."

*****

Face down on a book, Shin struggled with his most recent dilemma. Adept of hearing as he was, he had caught the vixens earlier comment, he even knew what she was getting at those times she teased him when Rowen was away. "First she tries to kill me, I get to know her and now... I'll never understand women." He sat upright, staring around the study, the odd book lay open on the ground, shelves of everything from philosophy to geography ran parallel to the walls, even an ominous little pile with the label 'Rowens, do not touch.' The moon shed its slivery light through the windows, candles suplimenting it, adding to a homely atmosphere. He lowered his head and sat riged, staring into the page as he heard the door creak open behind him. The muffled sound of footsteps then arms around his neck and a weight on the back of his shoulders as she leaned over him. "Whatchya doing here on your own?"

Shin reddened slightly, his mind exclaiming 'Woah! Are those her boobs? Think! Reply! ...God - I hope that Light isn't listening in.' as the weight pressed harder into his back. "I'm j-just reading some."

She moved to his side, sliding onto the arm of the chair and lying against his side. "You know, Rowen won't be back for a few hours yet, you and me could have some fun..." Kris placed a hand on the foxes bare chest, Shin often leaving his shirt off due to the heat of the desert environment.

Shin was quite suddenly finding himself short of breath and blushing crimson. 'Oh... My... God, Is she going down the lines that I think she is? She always seemed so innocent... No way, It just isn't happening. Forget what you've heard, a cute girl like this...' His mind reeled, "Like what?"

She came closer, cool breath carressing the foxes cheek, "This." He had enough time to turn fully, a slightly befuddled look splashed across his face before her lips clamped upon his, tongue snaking into his maw. If it were possible to smile through a kiss she did as he returned it, his tongue joining hers as arms laced around her. They broke apart, breath quickening, chests rising and falling in usion.

"Where did you learn to...?"

"Rowens pile of erotica." She chuckled for a few moments before reaching up her spine and finding that her shirt was already undone at the back. "How did you...?"

Shin twitched his head in the direction of the stack of the wolfs books. "He's got some good stuff in that pile."

Kris smiled again, shuffling closer to him, placing her weight besides his on the wide armchair while at the same time reaching down the side, pulling a lever that forced the seat into a reclining position. She removed her shirt fully to match the fox lying beside her before laying back on the soft brown fur covering, an arm behind her she placed her head onto his shoulder. Fingers traced through her hair, the other hand gliding across her stomach, between her breasts, up to her neck and behind her head as he engaged her in another kiss. Her breath caught as the free hand dropped and sought each breast, lightly caressing, she closed her eyes, hands sliding down his chest, loosening a belt before brushing against his sheath, stroking the red tip of a protruding organ and drawing a satisfied groan from Shin. Disengaging herself from his arms she moved down, discarding his belt to free the tail pinned beneath it, tossing the slacks aside and drawing closer to him, mere inches from his crotch, the strong scent of arousal eminating from him; she extended her tongue, placing a single firm lick along the entire length of the seven inches before her. She wrapped long fingers about it, brushing gently, lips decending to the head, she took the tip in, enough to allow her to slide her tongue about it as pre pooled rapidly, coursing down the length of it as her other hand closed around his balls, massaging softly. A sharp intake of breath has a hand traced her stomach, pressing close and sliding down the front of the tight shorts she wore, a finger brushing along the clit as damp underwear was brushed aside, the same finger now pressing softly before sliding into her, pulsating to a rhythem identical to that which she was giving him head too.

It was mere minutes before she was rewarded with a burst of cum, she choked, outdoing his groans as it hit the back of her throat, her gag reflex overridden as he added a second finger to join his first. She felt a tug about her waist, shifting her legs as Shin removed her final items of clothing; exposed she shifted her head, glancing at herself and the triangular patch of shaven hair, dyed blue to match the streaks in her hair. He moved closer to it, his inhalation forcing cold air across her clit, swolen with need, forcing her to clench her hands in fistfuls of his tail. A wet probing mass reached the opening, his tongue tracing around but not entering the place she needed it most, giving cause for Kris to wimper with lust; as if taking pity he set to his task, cold nose pressing against the tip of her crotch as tongue entered her folds, shuffling and rough. She groaned loudly, footclaws curling as she dampened Shins chin, a wet splash as she near screamed in delight when he hit the spot he had been aiming for. Kris shifted position, placing a hand on either side of the fox, she pulled herself up and around, sliding up his body and kissing him once more as hands glided down her hips. She sat on his stomach, his additional foot of height forcing her to in order to continiue. Something hard poked against her tail, she grinned, pulling her body back and up, suppoting herself with a hand while placing the other on his dick, guiding it up to her entrance, tip brushing her. She paused in an attempt to tease him but got nowhere as hands gripped her waist and forced her down onto him, its entirity slamming into her. The pain of being taken so forcefully was intolerable, the knot forcing her wider than she had ever managed with her hands, a tear welled but was swiftly wiped away when he moved himself, tracing a hand across her face before removing the throbbing tool and placing her back onto the chair, he was slower now, spreading her legs and watching himself slide into her as she initiated a high pitched whining noise. Lust preventing him from prolonging the act, he sped up, her moans echoes to those from Rowens room just those few nights before. He felt tightness as each of her orgasms struck and left Kris gasping for breath, a dry feeling in his throat as the constant motion sapped his stamina and left him parched. Unable to hold back any longer, he buried himself, pulling close and groaning into a kiss as his balls drained. Fluid leaking onto the chair, matting in the furs damp already with her juices. Shifting to the side he lay, smiling up into the skylight as he saw a happier future with the one draped across his chest, eyes closed, chest already moving to a slow rhythem as she slept on him. Shin chuckled to himself, leaning over and draping a blanket over the two of them, dropping his head back onto the recliner, yawning and promptly falling asleep.

Two pairs of eyes watched from the doorway, the flickering light revealing their owners to be identical twins, foxes yet dark in colour, grey to the point of being almost charcoal black. "Relax... Our brother has played right into our hands..."

(So, there you have it. I hope I can finish the sequel soon but when I blasted out from the top of my head all that I wound up with was speech, speech, f/f yiff, speech, speech. Once I finally get around to adding the description to the \'bones\' of my next chapter, I will post it. Liked it? Hated it? Suggestions? Review!)
