Lora left the group in the winter with her mate to claim Maka's old den. Maka had died of sickness and Delia was not affected as much. Delia was use to death; half her pups died each year from various causes. Some were hunting accidents or sickness. Unknown to any one of them the reserve was in financial trouble. They had few options after the state cut their funding. The reserve was 6000 square mile and stopping poachers was a challenge. They could have a nature tour or a capture park to make cover the rest of the park costs. All that was going to be decided after a study. Several surveyors, scientists, and trapper were hired for the task. The trappers could track movements and observe from a distance. On top of a ridge they saw Delia's group hunting. The prey was a haxorus and larger and stronger than anyone in the group alone. Numbers counted as the hunting party was about eight. Leon and one of his pups chased it into a trap. The others were at different location as Delia used ice fang on it. Normally that was just damage and could heal, however; her ice fang was about 110 degrees Celsius below zero and the blood froze and it died quickly. The freezing cracked the armor and preserved the meat if frozen fast enough. The crew fallowed and saw a pack of predator pokémon. There were about 20 or so. There were various types: ice, fire, water, grass electric and normal types there to name a few. Leon and two male ninetales melted and cooked the prey. Delia had pups on the way and she ate first. The expecting female ate first, then, everyone else got to eat. There was nothing left but bones and the larger ones were broken for the marrow in the bones. This behavior was not documented in other areas. Further study was needed and the group moved to the winter den. It was defendable and the individuals who hibernated in the winter would be safe there. The scientist sent a herdier to enter the group with sub-dermal cameras. He joined the group for a short time until they found out he was a lousy hunter. Even two month old pups had better luck and skill and he did and was kicked out. The only thing they got was some females did not lay eggs. After the study was published, the state then increased the funding to allow later expeditions and build a rail line to allow tourism in the park. Delia was in early heat when she chased a zangoose who wandered too close the den when she fell in a hole. She was knocked out and the others searched for her until it got dark. A trapper found her and picked her up. She was still out and he treated her injuries. She woke up later that evening with a male dewott watching her. She was in heat and he wanted some action. He asked, "Care if I sample your inner parts and we can have an egg?" "No. I do not know you and I want pups but, you must prove yourself first." She replied. "I am young and strong. I can do anything you ask." He replied. She gave it a thought and said, "Get me a meal and prove you are a good hunter." He did not pay attention to the last part and gave her some of his food pellets. She sniffed them and was discussed. "I want a fresh kill! It had better be juicy and tender. You must kill it because I am blind and a good male provides for his pups!" She stated angrily. He was shocked and said, "What?" "How dumb are you?! Being strong means nothing if you are unable to kill and provide you mate who is carrying your pups!" She told him. "You just said you were blind. How can you be a good hunter then?" He asked. Delia replied, "A pack and I am an ambush hunter." He could not kill but said, "I am a great lover and who needs hunting skill to have fun?" She as tired of his teasing and said, "You are not good stock. I want a male who can do something other and give me pups. I will freeze your pair off if you try what you are thinking, I just might eat you too." He tried to mount her but, she heard him and straggled until he died. Then, she ate the body. Wondering around she found Lora and her mate and asked to stay the night. They allowed it. He was a mightyena and Delia could smell he was strong. Lora said, "He will be a great provider I will let you see him." Delia got a vison from Lora and there was a large fresh kill. He was a looker and good stock for her pups." Delia asked, "Lora. Can I use him? You owe me one for Leon and I am in desperate heat?" "Double the tail, I have not objections." He thought. Lora took a breath and said, "Just remember you leave and I will guide you tomorrow to the winter den. He is my mate and you get his seed and that is it." He was excited to have a second female wanting him and she had a group to provide for her. Delia spread her hind legs and was ready. His penis was erect and ready and he mounted her. Her vulva was pink and ready as he penetrated her. Slowly he sped up rubbing her vagina and she was lubricating his shaft. Her cervix was tight around him and he felt her passion. Her walls tighten around him and he knotted and ejaculating his semen in her. He dismounted and they were tied for an hour and a half. He was in no hurry to empty his seed in her. Her muscles relaxed and he was free with a (pop) sound, the remnants coming out from both of them. After some rest they mated again and her heat was gone later that day. The next day, the group was happy to have their best hunter home and she was pregnant from some new blood. Leon was the alpha of the group and could have any female. He picked two females and decided to only have a female luxio that year for a mate. He was still the primary hunting partner with Delia but, she had someone else's pups and a group to take care of her. The reserve was getting a boost from nature shows. This behavior of a pack hunt with several different types was intriguing and the fact that some female did not lay eggs was a strange development. The greater chance of poachers for that purpose was not foreseen until the shows started to be aired the next year. That winter was harder than normal. The frozen meat and berries were the last resort. The hunting was scarce and soon the food was almost gone. In one hunt the party found a dead mamosine that fed them for the winter. Spring was near and the others woke up as Delia was stuck with the other pregnant females. The winter den was also where the young were born. A few laid eggs and were setting them. Shortly after giving birth to three male eevee's and four poochyena's: three females. She got word from the other that Leon did not make it back. During the hunt a beartic was after the same tauros and took a swipe at Leon. The tauros was claimed and Leon was dragged to the den. Delia was heart broken, her best friend as a pup was dead. She got a view from a psychic in the group and Delia began to cry. His face was shredded and fur covered in blood. She was heart broken from this. She froze the corpse and tried to speak to it. "Goodby Leon. You were my best mate and lover. You deserve a proper burial." She said and cried some more. The ninetales incinerate Leon and Delia nursed her pups. She wished she could see the fire and a male espeon gave her the sight of it. The spring thaw meant new life and more food as the group moved to the summer den by the lake. Maka came to see Delia and she was sick. Her old age and a cut made her blood septic. Her final words to Delia were, "I know you will make me proud. Only pepper and Arnold are still with us and I am gone from this world. You were the most suborn pup I ever had and I am sorry I kicked you out without saying goodby." Delia whimpered and said, "Mom, Leon died and now you too! You did the right thing. I had Leon and we had each other. I will miss you." Delia woke up and realized it was a dream. They were at the spring den. Then, she realized it was the day of lost souls where the dead could enter the dreams of the living and say farewell. A rail line was near the summer den and tours were given by train. A few traveled paths and old logging railroad lines remained from 100 years earlier. Delia was depressed and still hunted. Her poochyena pups were better hunters than she was. They improved her hunting tactics and had more kills. Delia decided to leave soon after near the fall. She had helped create the group and they would be fine without her. A Friendship that Surpassed Death A new trainer neglected to read the sighs as she walked through the reserve. She did not read any sign at all. All the signs said: "No Capture Park" or "Poaching Will be Prosecuted to the Fullest Extent of the Law." The blend of lowercase and capital letters was to get the readers attention. The trainer saw a glaceon; it was Delia. Delia was sunning herself and feeling the breeze. She missed her friend Leon and her sight was less of a concern at the moment. Being blind most of her life was complicating her hunting and her life. She was in search of a new hunting partner and a mate outside of her group. There were too many painful memories of lost pups and friends there. Delia heard the trainer and when closer to listen to what was going on. She had little to no contact with the world outside of the reserve. She was chewing on a bone to get the marrow from it. The trainer tried to catch her since Delia seemed very friendly and beautiful. She pulled out a poké ball and it did not activate. The glaceon was no use to her and left Delia. Delia fallowed her to the park edge and paused for a moment. Then, she continued to fallow her. The trainer tried to capture Delia again but it still did not open. Delia pressed the button and it still was not functional. She froze it and played with it. This was a new toy for her and even as a pup she never played with a thing like it. It rolled around and she chased at the shore line. The trainer pulled out a Buizel to catch some fish. His eye and nose looked at Delia. She was near heat and his instincts were in control. He caught three fish and gave one to Delia. By now the poké ball had the hinge and shell crack from Delia freezing it. "Hi. My name is Mel and I got you a fish." He said to Delia. She ate it right up and he was surprised to see her eye lids closed all this time. He asked, "Why do you never open your eyes?" She replied, "I lost them as a pup and before you say anything else. I do not like being talked down to by anyone still alive." Mel asked her, "How?" She stopped eating and looked sad, "I was a pup and a charmander pulled them out. I lost the battle protecting the food in the den and took one on purpose but he took both by mistake. He was scared and I learned he had no penis. It was pulled out and never came back when he evolved. His pair did come back but he still could not have young ever again. I nearly killed his pair out of anger. He ruined my life and regretted every day. Most days I wish I could see but some days it is a blessing in disguise. (Her tone changed.) Like when the one you care for most; suddenly dies and the pain of watching it happen. He never came to me in my dream that day." Mel was confused but fixated on her. She was near heat and turned around her vulva was not red or pink yet. If he played it right, he could have her. She was clearly wild and they had lower standard for males. All he had to do was give her fresh food and she would see him as a good catch and mate with him. The eggs would come out and he did not have to take care of her. She was blind so he might for a little while. He was retrieved and the trainer when to a pokémon center a few days later. Delia was creeping her out. "Nurse. I have a problem. That glaceon keeps fallowing me and my poké ball does not work on it." The trainer said. The nurse replied, "Let me look at the poké ball. I see the shell and hinge is cracked. This is a mark two model and those have scanners that can detect females that do not lay eggs. So, your glaceon is female and the battery is cracked. I need to look at the specifications. Negative 120 degrees Fahrenheit to break the battery. We have footage on film of this glaceon. It is from last year but I can make a note of the gender." The two watched the footage on the computer. "Nurse. There is still the problem that she is still fallowing me." The trainer said. The nurse gave it a thought, "Is it possible she chose to fallow you for some reason?"
In the back yard of the center Mel and Delia had something else on their minds. She was in heat and chosen Mel. The two mated and her vulva was burning. His penis was ready and he was working his shaft in her. Her vagina was tight for him and soon he was at the cervix was ready and he ejaculated several times before dismounting her. Delia was surprised there was no knot and they soon mated again hours later. "My sweet talk and giving her care did work." He thought that was it when she said, "I will need your help in the spring with the pups." "What?" He asked is surprise. "I do not lay eggs and when I am nursing your pups you need to provide me food. Probably one past five pups." She told him. He was taken off and said, "You mean six? How high can you count?" "Only five where I am from you have one or many." She replied. His trainer retrieve Mel and Delia fallowed her though the winter and soon her pups would be born. The trainer returned home a picnic and Delia was days away. She gave birth the night before the picnic. Mel gave her dry food but she stole a steak that was going to be cooked. She ate the steak and the trainer's parents were surprised that Delia had two eevee's both males and four buizel: two females. The picnic was unusual now and the guest tried to touch Delia's pups, but she was scared of the guests. The pokémon made her the center of attention and not the food. Mel was scared of the implications. He sired eggs before and knew more about that. She fell asleep after nursing her pups one day and had a deep dream.
The dream She dreamed she was in the field of flowers right after a heavy rain. She could see the field because she had seen it before she lost her sight. It was her favorite play area as a pup. She saw Leon and began to cry. Then, she ran to him and pounced on him; she was happy. Leon had the final scar that killed him and asked her, "Why are you crying?" Her reply, "I missed you last year. I really am missing you." She lay on his side and asked, "Why did you not come last year?" "I was scared how you would react." Leon replied. Delia relaxed and said, "I do not care how you look as long as I am with you Leon. Leon. Leon! Where are you!?" He was gone and she was alone again. She woke you and Mel asked her, "What was the dream? You looked happy." Delia replied, "It was the best and the worst dream I ever had." Mel said to her, "You cannot have both at once." "Did you have a strange dream today Mel? It is all souls' day where the dead can say goodby to the living in there dreams. I saw Leon and he is very special to me. He was my friend as a pup and he was more. He was my mate, hunting partner, best friend and lover." She told Mel. She got up and a burned image was on the wooden floor. Mel looked at it and it was a rose. "Why is there a rose where you were sleeping Delia?" Mel asked her. She cried and said, "That was Leon saying farewell. I will see him soon. I have to live every day as if it were my last. Being old does that to you." Delia was content that summer. Her primary fear was flying pokémon and her pups. Her pups were small and could be an easy meal. This happened in the wild and the group had to guard for that. The house was big and Delia was lost there and did not like the inside. She dug a den in the hill. The yard was fenced in and Mal left to fight in the league. She raised her pups and wanted more in her life. The pups were adopted out and she left to live somewhere else. Mal was too nineveh about the world. She lived near the butcher shop and ate the leftovers the butcher had. He allowed her to stay there. She ate the marrow from the bones in the front and customers would buy bones for their pokémon. She looked happy and they thought their pets would like them to. The butcher noticed she could freeze meat and other items in the front. At first he used her to chill his beer at picnics. Then, he brought her to local farms and she froze the animal to a cryogenic level and she got the unwanted parts as payment. He adopted her and she was given a collar. His house was small and near the woods. The butcher soon used her as a living freezer. She would sleep in his yard and enjoy the constant flowers in his back yard. Mel came home and tried to win her back. She wanted no part in it; he was too soft for her. Her dreams of the flower field with a mud coated Leon lasted longer and she had to contemplate her end. Delia found a more mature vulpix male she liked. He had a hard life that she admired. He knew she liked fire types. His name was Douglas and he was missing a leg and the tip of his right ear. He lost his leg as punishment for losing a prize fight in an underground fighting league. His leg was held on by a few tendons. He lost his ear piece in a fight at the shelter after being rescued. He lived in the woods near the butcher. He liked Delia for her lack of caring for his looks. She loved sleeping on him in the yard by the flowers. He was like Leon in personality but he was still alive. He was laying on her and she was sleeping when he heard her speak in her sleep, "Take me Leon, I want you." She woke up and he asked, "Who is Leon?" She hesitated and gave him an answer, "He was a growlithe and I truly cared for him and he is dead." She wanted Douglas for her next pups. His friends thought they made a good misfit pair. He learned she was not born blind and did not care now. She wanted Douglas and not because she was near her few remaining heats. He made her feel special and did not try to be pushy about helping her. She wanted a best friend to feel normal for her. A few days later she spoke to him in private, "Douglas, I want to have pups with you." He sounded surprised, "Why?" She asked, "Have I ever told you how I lost my sight?" "No. How?" He asked. She started to tell a story, "I do not act like it, but you were not originally disfigured. I was a normal pup. A raid in the den made me blind and the details are not pretty and Leon saw me and did not act odd toward me. Pride and bad luck made me blind. I realized that last week. I have been fearless all my life except when I am not near the time for my pups to be born. I hate it when I need help with hunting but, I needed it and Leon was my hunting partner. We spent more time together than anyone else. When you are blind, you want to see with your own eyes and appreciate the little things like the sun, dirt, smells and textures. I find that the pellets are too dry and I like softer food. I love fresh meat. It is juicy and full of texture and taste. Pellet food tastes off to me and is hard to chew." "Why do you like fire types and not ice types like most pokémon? They mate with there own types." He asked her. She blushed and replied, "I like fire types. From my experience they are soft and fluffy or they have lathery skin. Their seed is very hot and I like how it feels. It almost burns and I like how much they give. Ice and normal types give less and do not give me the dame feeling. They rarely interest me. Water and dark types feel weird to me, there is plenty of it and it is rough. I can tolerate their seed. I love to rest on fire types they are always warm in the winter. I can control the air but that is less concern and I froze fresh meat and any fire type melted it and the group could have fresh meat all season." "Only if you want to and are ready." Douglas told her. In the back of her mind her heat was near and hormones were flooding her body. The need to reproduce was making her go crazy. "With how you look I think you are really pent up and soon I will be in season." She whispered to him. A few days later she was in early heat and waited for the next day. Douglas was like any other male pokémon and smelled her heat and wanted to mate with her. Her vulva was bright red. She wanted to mate and the butcher left without her. She widened her hind legs and Douglas came to see her like every morning. "I am ready, are you? I want all of it." She said seductively. His penis was erect and he was quickly. He tried to mount her but he missed and asked her, "A little lower please?" She obliged and he tried again. His penis entered her and she loved it. Her body took all his seed and he was knotted for an hour. She was growling a low tone in pleasure and loved the feeling. When he was done there was a (pop) sound. The two ate and slept just to mate again. The pattern was simple all day. First, Mate and knot, Then, eat and sleep just to mate again. Her need was satisfied and she was like that for two more days. He was concerned when she did not lay eggs. He thought he missed his chance but she knew better he hit the mark. Her pups would be ready in the spring and he needed to give her love and food in the late winter. The house was nice and under the shed was a nice place to have pups. It was cool and safe from predators. Douglas spoke to her, "I have to confess that I have a second mate. I thought I missed the mark and you did not have eggs. I found a willing, drunk female and I made a big mistake with her. She is obsessive and wants more of my time and wants to take it from you. I have no solution." Delia was surprised and was a little angry at him for not telling her up-front. She told him, "You should have told me earlier. Things happen, all I can say is I am with pups and you need to convince her to stay in my new den. I will not leave and then you can have the time to hunt for me in the spring. I will be stuck here for a month caring for your pups. I will be able to move when they can talk. What is she?" "She is a snubbull and she knows about you and me. I just remembered, she as eggs with her." He replied. Delia sounded mad now, "One, I am mad at you for not telling me earlier. Two, this den is large enough for three females my size! Three, I still care for you and forgive you." Hours later he convinced the snubbull to move in with Delia. Before she came in Delia told her, "Before you try to kill me remember you are killing about seven by killing me, also I can freeze your eggs at will." "Do you lay eggs anymore then?" The snubbull asked. Delia replied, "No, I have live pups once a year. Also, I am blind and do not want to tell you about it."
Delia's Twilight Years
Delia and Douglas hunted small game. Soon the butcher's wife figured something was off with Delia. Delia looked like she was gaining weight and eating the same amount of food. His wife realized Delia was pregnant and moved like it. Delia was old and had the mobility of old age. His wife wanted her fixed after her pups would be born but, he convinced his wife that she was near the age to stop having pups. Delia was about eight years old but she could not count and did not care. She was still mobile and loved red, fresh meat. The snubbull was very domesticated and was named Sugar Loaf. Delia called her Sugar. Sugar had never wanted hunt for food. She was younger and afraid to kill. Delia would set her eggs and Sugar would hunt and almost never bring back a kill. Hunting together was a failure to. Sugar had no timing and Delia hunted alone would come to the den with a kill most of the time. In mid winter Delia was felling her joints hurt but, food was vital for her and the unborn pups. The butcher brought Delia to work every other day and she liked the company. The costumers liked her to and her ability to freeze to a cryogenic level was useful for deliveries. One day she was used to freeze ice after the freezer broke down and, it was fixed the next day. Her activity slowed down as her pups developed. Sugar's eggs hatched, all three of them. They saw Sugar as there mother but Delia as a caretaker. Delia stayed around and treated them like the wild. They needed to know how to hunt and kill. Sugar liked to run off to be with her girlfriends and would bring them to the den. Delia did not care and came back with a fresh kill. This disgusted some of Sugar Loaf's friends. "How unclean it is to eat that." One of them said. Delia replied, "What if this is what you have to survive? I like fresh meat and those horrible pellets hurt my teeth. Never talk down to me or wish you were dead." Delia was mad at the tone used. It was aristocratic tone with a lot of arrogance in underlaying it. Delia decided to insult them more and ate her kill near them. The butcher gave her a new bone and she saved it for later. The others were jealous of that and Delia started to eat her kill. She had cleaned out the nasty stuff at the site. She asked them, "Care for some testicles or liver? They improve your love life and the liver is good for growing pups. Delia enjoyed her meal and ignored the bowl of dry food that was left out. She like the wet pokémon food if she had to eat. Sugar's friends were eating the dry food. Sugar said, "And, this is why she had no girlfriends. I have no time to spend with you since Delia makes me watch my own kids." Douglas came and said, "You know she is blind and in the wild that is your responsibility. Grow up and think of them. What happens when you die? Delia does not have long to live at her age and she has pups on the way." Sugar's friends left feeling unconformable and confused around the two wild pokémon. Sugar had to live with it or raise her kids alone. Later that week Delia found a ball in the neighbor's yard. They had a new pokémon pet. Delia rolled it around and then rolled her back on it to reduce the pain. "That is my toy!" He said. She rolled off it and asked, "Who and what are you?" "Are you blind?! I am Jake." He said. "Well Jake, I am blind and what are you? Your foot steps are different to any pokémon I know." She told him. He was taken off guard and said, "This is my territory and I am a houndour. Get out!" He snorted smoke and she knew he was a fire type. She left and found a ducklett in a ditch and pounced on it. She had a meal and she knew her area well. In the early spring her pups were born and Douglas had to provide for her and his pups until they could speak. She had small pups like usual. She had Two female eevee's and one female vulpix. She also had two male vulpix's and Douglas was proud. He said, "I am surprised they are so tiny and so precious."Delia rested as they nursed. Sugar's kids were surprised and liked them. Sugar was not pleased with how Delia acted with them. Delia was very defensive for the first two weeks as they nursed. It was natural for her to be cautious. They were defenseless and an easy meal to predators. Jake saw her pups and thought they were not hers. He got a closer look at the fence. Sugar and her friends looked at the pups and thought Delia pup was a freak. Douglas knew that it was a rare trait that gave him a chance to have vulpix pups. Two looked different. The female vulpix was a shinny and an eevee had red fur. One of Delia's male friends was a gothitelle who allowed Delia to see: Her pups and name them, Douglas, Sugar, Jake, the flowers and most importantly the sun and, her reflection in a pool of water. She started with her sons, Leo and Arnold. Her female vulpix daughter was named Connie. Her last two daughters were named by their father: Jane and Dorothy. They were decent names and they were mostly normal. A purugly (who was one of Sugar's friends) gave a negative comment on the red eevee. The other jumped away knowing the danger; Delia pounced and froze her to the ground. Delia said to her, "Did any one of you lousy parents or spoiled family ever tell you to never insult a pup when the mother is right there?! You idiot! You have not regard for me or my pups! I allow Sugar to stay here and this is my territory! Use what little brains you have and never come here with that attitude! I will kill you and I should for that remark. I might just take one of your eyes and see how you feel about it?" The purugly was urinating out of fear. Delia was the queen and she was enraged. She took a breath and let her go free. Delia dogged the retaliation strike and used ice beam on the ground and caused the purugly to slip and fall. The other laughed at the fall and she stumbled home with a boused ego and leg. The others shut their mouths and Delia sat down to nurse her precious pups. Delia was sitting and Douglas came to see his pups in fur when Delia asked him, "When I go I want to be incinerated. I want to leave this world without a way back. Also, I like your ear scar; it makes you cuter." Delia's pups were in a tough spot. They had two choices to make they live either in the wild or as domesticated with humans. If they lived in the wild they would be free but, it was a hard life and lots of potential future mates. If they chose to live with humans, it was an easy life with battles they were not life and death. That was a lazy life in Delia's mind. She gave her pups milk and fresh kills until they could speak and learn to hunt and kill. Douglas and Delia alternated their pups and took turns hunting. Connie acted like she had a real attraction to Jake and Delia decided to talk to them early about the facts of life. Delia rolled Jake over and felt his belly and he was fixed. He asked Delia, "Do they ever come back? I want to have them." "If you evolve, they can. I have no idea if you evolve. If you do not, sorry for the news." Delia told him. He sounded excited and said, "I do evolve I need to train and evolve fast!" "Not so fast you two! I need to tell you something. When you are older, Connie might not lay eggs so Jake if you want pups with her you need to feed and protect her when her pups are near and until they can walk to a decent extent. I had a growlithe who was my first mate. I grew up with him and I got pregnant by accident. Connie will go in heat in the winter and Jake, if you mate with her she will have pups and I was thrown out when I was pregnant because I had a mate. Connie, you need to train harder sooner than Jake. He will likely double is size and you need to evolve or he will be too big for you. My friend never evolved for that reason. I would die in the mating. You might have only one chance to have pups' Jake. They may fix you again and then you will never have pups if that is your final evolution. If both of you want to have more than one litter you need to be wild and a mother must be strong to protect her pups. I know of a reserve I grew up in and live for a long time. It is months away and I know it is the great canyon reserve and I do not know where it is but is on the way to the next town on the way to the lake." Jake was sad in his tone, "I have no idea how to survive in the wild and if Connie evolves she will out live me." Delia told him, "What is one more pup to teach. We can start tomorrow and you need to try fresh meat you kill. That is the major food you get. Never lose your penis! It never comes back and I felt yours. You two have fun and I need some sleep, be watchful of flying pokémon. You two are small and an easy meal." She went to the den and took a nap.
It was all souls day and she dreamed of the flowers in the field. She looked at her paw and it was blue and white. She was confused. "Why are you in turmoil Delia?" She looked up and saw Leon speaking. "How can I see my evolved form now and I am old how long to I have to live? I am afraid of death and I have to accept it." She asked. "Your dream is a construct of your memories and I do not have long so I can tell you two things. One, you will have a couple more litters until you die. Two, when I see you next the field will be covered in white. I will be here with Maka and your dad. He is proud of how long you have survived being blind and the number of pups you have had." Leon raveled to her. She asked, "Before you leave I miss you and how many have I had?" Leon was confused and said, "Apparently 40 or so and half are not of the living anymore, mostly the older ones and 320 grand pups roughly. I will see you again; my time to talk is about up. Goodby." Delia woke up and Douglas was there with their pups. She asked him, "When I go I want to be incinerated and burn off all the bad memories. Can you do that for me?" "I will try and you asked before, I did not forget." He replied. The next day Delia got a fresh kill and Jake tried it. His senses were on fire. The blood and juices covered his tong and it was soft. He never had that taste in his mouth. He ate all for it and said, "How do you get more?" His tail was wagging. "Come with me and Douglas to a hunt right now and just watch. Do not say a word about it." Delia told him. He did what she said and saw the three others: Delia, Douglas and, Connie got a large sawsbuck. All four ate the kill and the pups learned to clean the kill and not what to eat. Delia told Jake, "The liver goes to the expecting mother and the testicles go to the male to enhance his fertility. This is a female so no pair, enjoy the food. Jake was covered in blood and washed up. He played with Connie and his owner knew he was fixed and not that his testicle could grow back. They thought they were just play mates. He learned quickly and was a good hunter as Connie was staring to see him sexually and she learned flamethrower and wanted to evolve. Delia pulled out a fire stone and said, "Wait for you to learn fire blast first then, use this. Jake was on a trip to the reserve and Delia and her party hid in the back of the truck. Most of her pups wanted to be domestic. Jake ran off and the four stowaways jumped out. She knew the butcher would be sad if she did not come back, but that was a risk. After one final battle Jake evolved and Connie left with him near heat. "Before you go, Connie, you need this!" Delia yelled at her. Delia gave a pouch to Douglas and he threw it at her. Connie pulled out the fire stone and touched it; Connie was now a ninetales. The two blushed and ran into the woods. Douglas said, "Those two look happy and we need to go home." "This was my home and I want you to stay here Douglas." She asked. He replied, "I cannot, I have a bad memory of this place. I came from an egg here and this is where I was taken for the vicious fights. I have bad memories of this place." The two returned home and Sugar was missing her pups. Delia knew that sound and talked to her, "Sugar, you miss your kids but, they are old enough to survive and my first pups almost wrenched my heart out. It will pass in time and every time it hurts a little, but the first time is the worst." "Thank you for that Delia. Do you want to know my territory?" Sugar asked. Delia was cautious and asked, "What are the conditions?" Sugars said, "One, do not hurt or scare my friends on purpose. Two, do not mark it as yours. Finally, I asked them to respect you so do the same to them." "I will agree to that if they stick to the last part. I need you to guide me after I need help to get this collar on it itches my neck." Delia replied. Sugar showed Delia her house. The yard was big and Delia smelled fruit trees and perfume. The smells inside the house were strange to Delia, I was an off smell and her paws were not stable. It was not dirt, or carpet. It sounded familiar when she figured it out. It was a wood floor. Delia felt uncomfortable and still fallowed. Sugar had six house pokémon to live with. They were insulting her and Delia did not like that and talked to Sugar in private. "Sugar Loaf, you need a backbone. If you are the lowest rank in the group, do not just take it. When things' fall apart they will leave you behind they treat you like trash and I give you respect at my den. They did not earn it from me. I know your friends' voices. If your house mates insult me, it was not agreed to. Do you understand?" Delia said in a serous tone. "They my friends too." She replied. Delia took a breath and said, "Friends do not treat each other like that. Enemies do, they are not rivals who give some respect. They do not deserve your friendship." One of them said, "The old lady scared of the floor? What is it, are you a coward?"
Delia pounced on him and said, "You do not disrespect someone I care for! Second, she is far more considerate than you! Killing you is too good for you! I need someone to see for me and you are so pathetic it is funny!" Sugar interrupted, "That is enough Delia! He meant no harm!" Delia continued, "Not from that tone?" Then, she let him go. "He is the worst and he hates me. How did you find him in the room?" Sugar asked in private. Delia gave it a thought, "Wood floors echo well and the weakest of group members gets respect not by force but, determination. He is not a friend in my opinion. Sorry if he was a good friend?" The two were silent and he staggered away from Delia who was clearly a dominating female. He was out of her league and she was too stubborn to be his mate. The smell from the kitchen was lured all for them in and Delia was given pasta like the rest. Delia started to eat first making the leader angry. "I start first, not a guest." He said. Delia spoke to him, "Where I am from the expecting mothers eat first then the alpha's so, I am not expecting yet and I am not afraid of you. Big bark means little bite." Sugar smirked and the other laughed at him. Delia put him in his place and he was embarrassed. Later that night she returned to her den and just sat outside wanting to see the stars. Sugar came and said, "After some thought, you were right, can I move in with you. It is not as nice but, I am treated better here." "I have no problem if we take turns brooding your eggs. Last time I did more than you and that is not fair." Delia told her. Sugar replied, "I can accept that." Then, she moved in for the winter. Her regular friends soon learned she was happier at Delia's den. Her mood was lighter with less stress. Her old house mates tried to have her come home but she refused. Sugar's owner found her and she was fatter and was happy. Every time she retrieved her, Sugar would run back to Delia's den. Douglas kept the three of them warm at night. Jake was happy but his old owners searched for him and gave you figuring he was a runaway. They replaced him with a male glameow who hate Delia but, the feeling was mutual. Never cross the fence and we are good, cross the fence and we have problems. Delia was going bald in her tail and that was a concern to the butcher until he found out why. It was not hormonal but old age. Delia was late in heat and Douglas mated with her. The butcher figured he was Delia's younger lover but he was too smart to be trapped. Delia hated the doctor. Every week it was to check on her unborn pups or more shots. The shots made her feel worst and soon they ended as her pups developed. She knew it was likely her last litter and she was very careful not to harm her pups. Sugar mated with the glameow and had four eggs that winter. Delia hunted as Sugar set her eggs. Delia wanted a new bigger den. She had Douglas find a spot and Delia dough to her current den. It was a lager chamber with two entrances now. The cold air flowed down as the temperature warmed up in the den. Some furs from previous kills made a great nest for the eggs and Delia had spares to keep her pups warm later. Life was pleasant for the three as Delia was less afraid of death. Old age was crashing in front of her and she knew it. It was her final litter of pups and she put all male seed she had in it. She started to feel morning sickness more often and knew her pups were near. Soon she had her pups. Douglas did not expect the pups. There were two: male growlithe's, one female poochyena, two: male vulpix's, one female vulpix, and two: male eevee's. "How many males did you mate with this season?" Douglas asked. Delia stuttered, "Well you know furret's mate all year round and have eggs only twice a year. They keep some sperm from the male and the female keep it alive until they are ready to have eggs. I picked up that trick by freezing part of my vulva to a cryogenic level as the excess sperm that come out; I keep as a rainy day supply. I was scared you missed my heat being the last day so I used my supply to have pups this time." He was confused, "So, you only mate with me this year but, you hoarded some sperm from every male you mated as an emergency stash?" "Yes. All but Mel, he was not good stock and I avoided his." She whimpered to him. She was starting to feel guilty. Douglas did not say a word and walked outside for a minute then, returned and sat next to her. "This is too strange for me to understand and I am not asking. The father of the growlithe's is Leon, what about the poochyena then?" Douglas asked her. Sugar was surprised Delia had this ability. It was a strange story and now wanted to try that next time. Delia told a story, "A winter after my mother died an espeon named Lora took her den and had a mightyena mate. I was desperate and there was a fresh kill in the den so, he would be a good father. Lora owed me and she repaid me with her mate. I had a group and I do not need him to provide anything else." Douglas forgave her since he did father three of her pups. Delia felt old and knew her time was near. She spent as much time with her pups as possible. She nursed her pups like normal and let them choose their own names. It was not she gave up but, she gave them a greater level of freedom than she had. Her pups were five months old when she took a nap. She was not feeling well and felt her time was you. Before she took the nap, she spoke to Douglas. "Douglas, I love you and I feel my end is here, today. Please fulfil my last wish." She told him. She fell asleep and never came up. One of her pups who called her self Susan and she was the poochyena. She asked Douglas, "Where is mommy, she did not wake up? Please, wake mommy up!" Douglas began to cry, "Susan, she is not coming back Susan; I need to incinerate her so please gather Sugar and everyone for the ceremony in the old pool." He gathered as much wood and gave Delia his final goodby. "I love how you loved me Delia, please let me be with you on the other side." He said sounding depressed. Then, he used flamethrower on the fire and watched her burn. He was having a hard time with it. Delia woke up in a snow-covered field. She was excited and had never seen anything so white. She was scared and said, "I can see, that means I have passed on? No, this is a dream but I have never seen anything so bright." She turned around and saw Maka and Leon. Then a ninetales she had never seen. He spoke, "Delia, I am Arnold and I am your father. I wish I saw you grow up but Douglas misses you. I think you should see him with your own eyes. I know how you feel. I came here and I was terrified." "How?" Delia asked. Leon spoke, "Think of him and for today only you can jump in his memories and see him in his dreams." She thought of him and fell in. It was a cage and he was scared and she came to him. He yelled at her, "How! You just died. Why am I here in my worst nightmare?" He was crying. She felt his best memory and they jumped there. She spoke, "Open your eye's Douglas. I was honest about how I feel and I will stay with you as long as I can but, this is your place, I think." He open his eyes and saw Delia see him. It was fresh snow covering an ice-covered lake with a small area of water. "Delia, you made me feel special and I want you back." He said. "I'm being pulled back! I will see you again and goodby for now!" She screamed. He woke up and scared the pups and Sugar. Then, he was scared when he said, "It was all souls day. Pups. Mama loves you and she is safe." Delia returned to Leon and pounced on him, "I feel better now. Just stay with me for a little while. My heart felt like it was wrenched out of my chest and I desperately missed you. What is there to here?" Arnold spoke, "Nothing right now. You never get tired or hungry. It will be spring tomorrow and we can frolic in the field of flowers. You have had a big day take a rest." Delia slept on Leon and her mind wondered as she had a dream of Jake and Connie. She could not figure out why. Leon was there when she woke up and asked him, "Why did I dream of Connie and Jake and not my memories?" Leon looked confused and Delia gave him the story, "Douglas and I had a litter and Connie was a female vulpix who fell in love with Jake a houndour. The two evolved so he could have pups with her. He was fixed by his owners and needed to evolve to have his pair grow back. I gave her a fire stone and they ran in the woods." Leon said, "Look up and see the flowers. Here you dreams are a day of the living and by chance it was one of your pups." Delia felt like a pup and wrestled all day. She knew it was her first day dead and wanted to feel free. She wanted to see the stars that night and spend time in a town. That night the two of them visited this town. Delia enjoyed the sights and sound and spent the night watching the stars. It was dawn when she took a rest and had a dream of the charmander who took her sight and he was a charizard and had some eggs with a ditto to repair his body. He was three eggs' hatch and Delia was happy for him. That afternoon she asked Maka, "What is there to do all day here? I want to see my pups and family but, what is there to do?" Maka gave her an answer, "We wait for our loved ones to come here and spend time with them. Forever is a long time and time slows down here. One day here is two weeks when you are alive. Douglas is near his time here and you can do anything but, tell him the exact day he will die. Leon skirted that rule." "That is boring what can you do here?" Delia asked. "Pups are everywhere and you can do practically anything. You can mate and not have pups or get tired. The only rule here is never enter the world of the living, Only all souls day you can enter their dreams and speak to them for a short time. If you are unhappy here, you can rejoin the living with reincarnation, however, you will not remember anything from your past life until you die and then, you can change your appearance at will." Maka told her. Delia gave it a thought and she had found something to do. She would find all her pups that have passed on. Delia felt loved and finally got a chance to see them. This took some time when Douglas appeared to her. She pounced him, and he was in shock. "Welcome to the afterlife my love." She whispered in his ear. He asked her, "Am I dead and how? What is going on here?!" Delia got off him and showed him around. She spoke to him, "This is Maka, my mother, Arnold, my father, and Leon, my best friend. How is Sugar Loaf doing?" "She returned to the house and was hardened to the other treatment. She got respect and she lost her eye in the process. I was going to see her and move in there. The butcher loved you and his wife took two of our last pups to stay there. I left because I had too many fond memories of you there." Douglas told her. "Let's mate tonight there is no rule that we cannot; Leon can join in but we do that often. She asked him. "How did I die then?" He asked. Delia looked at him and figured out what it was not. She said, "Not from hunting, drowning, exposure, or attack; so I have no idea. Who care, I missed you a lot and I want to give you a tour around here." She was acting like a pup in love.
