Thunderclap Echo's First Day
#1 of First Echo: Beginnings
My first MLP Fanfic. Copyrighted characters belong to owners and not me. Thunderclap Echo belongs to me. This is SPARTAAAAA-I mean a work of fiction. Thanks to the following great authors: Beowulf1991, jami31, GingerM. These guys/girls inspired me to write, and you should all go check out the stuff they have. It's much better than mine. Echo braced himself. WHAM! 140 pounds of pent up Pinkie Pie potential energy transferred into kinetic, the bubbly earth pony almost knocking Echo over despite his readiness for impact.
"WHOA! Lotsa ponies fall over when I run at them! But I'm just so happy to see them. You didn't fall over. Y' must be strong like AJ. Yup,"--here she looked him over a little--" you're an earth pony! That means you get a special kind of cupc-"
Echo raised a hoof to Pinkie's lips. "Hey. Hold on a sec. Can't talk right now. You know I take these morning walks around Ponyvilke just to think. Alone?!"
"Aww, can't you think with me? Come on I got plenty of stuff to think about. Like why Fluttershy and Twilight have been hangin out almost 24/7 these days. Whaddya think is goin on there? And not to mention they say Nightm- I mean, Princess Luna is gonna host a party at Rarity's house! Imagine it! Ooh, I just can't wait! Gotta tell Dashie...Bye!" With that, Pinkie Pie zipped off the way she came, leaving a slightly confused Echo coughing on her dust cloud.
"Uh...kay then. Now maybe I can get back to walking....Hey. What is that glowy flower over there at the edge of the woods? And another deeper in? And who am I talking to, for Celestia's sake?"
Echo ventured into the forest, and noted no birds or animals seemed to be making noise, and no sun made it thru the thick canopy of trees that seemed to get harder to trot theu as he followed the flower path. It seemed like hours he trotted, till at last he came to..a hut? Who lived waaay out here?
Echo mustered up enough courage to knock on the door with a raised hoof when suddenly it swung open, and there in front of him stood some sort of nature spirit, like the ones Twi told about in those books! Runrunrunrunrun-
"On second thought...Y-you're not a spirit. You look kinda like me...only...not. Uhh..Hi, I'm Echo."
Zecora the Zebra blinked thrice, and looked over the colt. He had a nice mane and tail of white, and his coat was a solid dark brown. This one had no cutie mark! "Odd, for one his age," she thought. And then she interrupted the stammering Echo. "YEA, THE ONE WHO GOES WHERE THE INVISIBLE FLOWERS LEAD, HE HAS POTENTIAL, AND SKILL INDEED."
Echo almost keeled over. It sounded louder than that one time Princess Luna used the royal we! He figured he should probably explain. "Yeah, I followed the flowers..they weren't invisible.They were pretty big actually...big...uhh.." Echo lost his tongue at that moment, because whatever she was had just stood on her hind legs, and he was seeing...things on her chest. And there was something between her legs, too? What were these things, and why was he feeling funny all of a sudden? The whatever-it-was spoke again.
"I am Zecora, resident zebra. I know many magicks, and I can always surely healya. You saw the flowers, and I'm obliged to say, Would you like to stay with me, and learn the healer's way?"
Now it was Echo's turn to blink. He didn't really hear most of what she said, and had to tear his eyes away from her chest. "Oh um..yes, Ms. Zebra?"
Zecora chuckled heartily, and a purple mist seemed to envelop the small hut. "Then by all means, prance inside, dear apprentice. You look like you need rest, some food and a dentist."
