#5 of The Hybrid Theory
Hmm... wow! How long ha it been? I don't know. Despite the longer time period, it is pretty short. But i think I did ok... Again, commentary, criticism and suggestions are always welcome. ^_^

Preliator ran to the other side of the room, toward Rector and Custos. He helped both of them up, holding them at the waist. He dragged them through the door. Filius looked around the room examining what was left of Diliga, and the bits and pieces of Mentis, splattered on the wall. How had it happened? Had they placed a bomb inside Mentis? How had they done that without him knowing, if that was the case? He looked at Magnus. His expression matched his in confusion. After minutes of silence, Preliator stuck his upper body in the room and gestured that they follow him. They complied, walking toward the Health Tubs. Custos was in one, while Rector stood, doubled over, grasping his stomach. He stood up straight, or he tried to and looked at the three.
He said in between painful gasps, "Explosives... inside Mentis... don't know how..." He collapsed before having a chance of finishing. Preliator tossed him into one of the tubs and attached the oxygen tube. As the tub filled with the liquid, Preliator sat down on a chair in front of a nearby terminal. He shook his head, and held his forehead in his palms, sighing.
"How could this happen? We just lost two of our best furs! Not to mention our best technician and most skilled medic, damn it!" Filius stood, eyes focused on nothing in particular. He felt numb and empty. He hadn't known the two for more than two days, and it wasn't the fact that they were dead that made him feel this way; it was the realization of how quickly someone can be ripped from this world. It made him feel lifeless. Preliator kept talking but Filius tuned him out.
Preliator eventually stopped talking and walked into the destroyed workstation room. Filius followed, although he did it subconsciously. Preliator looked around and sighed. "Well. Now those freak-things know where we are. They'll no doubt tell the Government..."
Filius cut him off with a question, yet he was still doing it subconsciously. "You keep talking about the Government as, like... one body, one person. Isn't there a leader? Someone to focus on?" Preliator assumed an air of surprise, as if the question was completely irrational and unanswerable. But he tried to answer anyway.
"Well... no. That is a question, isn't it? That's something we haven't thought about. At least I haven't. The last president we had was... Tomas Velayo. But that was ten years ago. I guess one day he stopped showing up to things and... well... there's a Council. I know that. They make the laws and junk. You really should ask Rector. He's the one who knows this stuff." Filius was baffled by the fact that they had no idea who leads this country. This was the capital, wasn't it? Was it so hard to find out? Filius decided to ignore it. Preliator spoke suddenly, "You guys want to come with me? I gotta do something. I guess it would take our minds of this whole thing." Magnus and Filius nodded simultaneously. "Just give me a sec. I'm gonna get something then we'll go." He walked back through the door to the corridor.
Magnus turned to him and asked, "How do you suppose they did it, huh? How would they put explosives in Mentis?" Magnus seemed almost unaffected by the fact that two furs, living, breathing furs had just died. He spoke like an excited child inquiring about a new toy, his tail flailing around his legs. Filius stared at his own tail that was in his paw. He brushed it with the other paw.
"I dunno. I guess when he was asleep or something. I've never seen anything so... so... evil. It's horrible." He looked at the blood, the burned pieces of flesh, the cratered body that was Diliga, and he spun around and fell into Magnus arms, and they hugged. "To think, if we hadn't gone with Preliator we'd be dead, too." He stood up straight and looked into those emeralds that looked back, beaming. Preliator stepped into the room again, and Filius turned around.
"You guys ready to go?"
"Yeah, let's go" They went back up the rungs that lead to the desert. They began to walk toward Korokos. He noticed a large cylindrical tower that dominated the cityscape. He really hadn't paid attention to the buildings before. It struck him as odd that such a building would be there. It was definitely out of place; it was twice as tall as the second tallest building and was a blackish-brown color, which was different than the dull gray that was everywhere. Preliator caught him looking and decided to explain.
"MCFC. Matrian Correctional Facility and Capitol. It's supposed to be where the Council is kept. Several groups of Insurrectum have tried to breach it, but they've all failed." Preliator began to walk towards the second door, the shooting gallery. "We have to get disguises. You can't go out in that." He was addressing Magnus. He was still wearing the clothes he had put on back in Manicipium. His combat uniform. It was a pair of camouflage pants, with a brown tank top. The sleeveless shirt was bullet-proof, and therefore had a large plate under the chest portion. A brown overcoat and vest would have completed the ensemble, but he had left them. Besides the bulging plate on his chest, Filius thought it looked normal, but apparently it wasn't so. "Everyfur will know you're a soldier, and they won't take kindly to that. We can't be seen with a soldier. Most people hate the government a much as we do, but they're too afraid to do anything about it."
They walked to the door and descended the rungs once again. They were in the room they had been only 30 minutes ago. Preliator tapped the wall next to where the projection activation panel was. A rectangle appeared on the wall and moved to the left, revealing a huge warehouse-like room. It hand thousands of boxes, portable clothes hangers, and weapons/ammunition racks. Preliator spent a while sifting through the clothes portion, selecting some inconspicuous clothes for Magnus to wear. The walked over to a cart. The cart was large enough to hold about twenty furs standing up. Preliator picked up a portable panel from the floor and pressed some buttons. The cart was lifted by a chunk of the floor up to the ceiling where a large hole appeared as two large sections parted. Sand fell in and flew everywhere. The cart was lifted out and the portions reconnected to for the ceiling once more. Filius was truly in awe and a bit angry. This whole time, throughout his whole life there had been the possibility for this technology, for all the technology he had seen, for a better life. Yet not one part was shared with the furs across the sea. But he pushed the thought aside. He was excited that he could now utilize this technology and that he was going back to the source of this technology, the City.
By the time they got to Korokos, cart hovering behind them, pulled by Preliator, the sun was already half way between noon and setting. They entered through the main entrance. The city was walled, surrounded by an impregnable barrier to the inside. The magnificent arch that was the entrance was the tallest thing Filius had ever seen. It was guarded by to Shashanera. Filius froze for a second, but continued on. The two snakes were "taller" than the hologram Filius had faced, and much more intimidating. They wore the same armor, but held long staffs, with strange hexagonal shapes on top. These hexagons had randomly appearing and disappearing tendrils of electricity. Filius stared at them as the snake on the left spoke to Preliator.
"Identify yourself." Its voice was smooth and sounded like a continuous hiss or whisper. Preliator responded.
"Daniel Snihur. ID Number 5144142510." The Shashan turned to a screen and typed in the information.
"You may pass. And you?" He asked Magnus.
"Magnus Turnum. ID Number 4453092505."
"You may pass. And you?" Filius really froze this time. He had no idea what to say. Preliator stepped in, when he remembered he had not told Filius what to do.
"Um... He doesn't have ID. He's foreign. From... Zharun."
"Visa?"
"Huh?"
"Does he have a visa?"
"Oh... oh yeah. Sure." Preliator pulled out a small piece of paper from his back pocket. Filius caught the words "Permanent Resident". Filius was really confused. The snake's head bobbed up and down. It let them through. They passed through the gate. "So now you know my real name. And speaking of names, you'll refer to me as Daniel, and I'll refer to you as Adrian and Magnus." So now his fake name would be useful. "Alright. The first thing we need is a new T.V."
They walked down the main street, passing dozens of stores, restaurants, hotels, office buildings, etc. The stores that had windows where displaying their most extravagant products. They amazed Filius he stared at the jaw dropping things, like clothes, computers, and especially food. But he also smelled it. Layers upon layers of different scents, washed over him. They radiated around him, he felt like he was floating. It was an assault on the senses, but a pleasurable one. He walked on slightly behind Pre--Daniel--and Magnus. He had to get used to calling Daniel by his real name so as not to erroneously use the wrong name at the wrong time. They went by many different stores and eventually stopped by an electronics store. In the windows were a dozen different T.V. sets of different sizes. They stepped in, and after thirty minutes of Daniel comparing different models, they had settled on one and lugged it into the cart. After at least an hour of walking, Preliator stopped and turned around to face the two younger furs.
"You guys hungry? Cos I'm starved. Come on, I know a great place." They walked another thirty minutes through sinuous streets and alleyways, eventually ending up in front of what looked like a house. Stepping inside revealed something different, a restaurant. A new combination of smells hit Filius' nose like a sledgehammer. They sat down at a table and Daniel put his elbows on the table, and his head in his paws.
"So, you want anything in particular... Adrian?" Filius didn't respond, but remembered that he was Adrian.
"Umm... what do you suggest? I've never really had the choice."
"Right. For dinner, I suppose you should have something substantial, like meat. Maybe, beef. Um... I know what you can have." Apparently he wasn't going to tell him. "And you Big Guy?"
"Guess I'll have the same thing. I'm in the mood for beef." They spent an hour there, eating and talking. Daniel seemed interested in the colonies, but Filius was feeling a bit sore about that. At the end of the meal, He gave the wolf something he called "chocolate"; something he would definitely have to try again. When they left, they continued to collect items for another 3 hours, until the cart was almost touching the ground from the weight. They discreetly walked back out toward the desert.
"So why hasn't anyone, like, noticed the giant cart?"
"Well, Korokos is a major city, so it's not uncommon to see something like this. They just don't usually go out toward the desert, but some do." And they went back to the "base". Custos was still in his tub, but Rector wasn't. This didn't seem to worry Preliator or even Magnus. They both went to their respective rooms. Filius went to the workstation room, only to find the walls cleaned the crispy remains of Mentis and Diliga. Rector sat on the sofa head in paws. He moved slightly with the familiar movement of the shoulders that someone made when crying. Filius Walked over to him and sat down.
"You ok?"
"Fine."
"You sure?"
"No. I really don't know anymore. Tiens ahs toh uuo."
"What?"
"Well. Matrian, or English, wasn't always the language of Matria. And you know Latin was before it. But even before that, there was another language. The true language of the furs. Nervodshagla, literally language of friends. The phrase I just told you, tiens ahs toh uuo, means Time heals all wounds. I'm just finding that hard to believe. Anyway, are you still having trouble with Magnus?"
"Sort of."
"There's another saying. Tiens dasha'dao dikut kecha hwaet. Time leaves behind those who wait. If you're going to do anything, you should do it now. There's no use waiting for tomorrow, cause chances are, you'll be as unprepared then as you are now."
"Oh. I guess your right." He paused for a moment, then added, "How do you say 'thank you?'"
"Diata. Norelko. That's 'your welcome.' Anyway, you'll have to 'sleep' with him now. You'll be sleeping in that room. I'm mean. I suppose you could use Mentis' or... Diliga's room. But would you really want to?"
Filius walked back to the hallway. He stood in front of the door to Magnus' room. He raised a shaky paw to the handle. He withdrew it and turned around. Then he turned once again. He just couldn't do it. An invisible wall blocked him off from what he wanted most, Magnus. He touched the metal of the handle; cold, shockingly so. He grabbed it and closed his eyes. He pushed down and forward with all his weight and walked into the room.
"Magnus, I..." he stopped and opened his eyes. What he saw shocked him, in the good way. He stared at a naked Magnus, who had jumped back at the sudden entrance, but seeing that it was Filius, had become confident again. He had taken off his clothes to change into his night-clothes. But Filius continued to stare at the panther cock that draped lazily over a furry sack. He couldn't tear his eyes from the sight, and Magnus took notice. He walked up to Filius and kissed him tenderly on the lips. He walked Filius over to the bed. "Magnus, I've never done anything like this before... I..."
"Don't worry." Magnus closed the door, and walked back to Filius. He sat next to him. "First, are you sure you want to?"
"I'm not sure I'm ready, but I definitely want to." Filius' own maleness had begun to harden, as had Magnus'.
"Shall I wait 'till you de-clothe yourself or should I do it myself?" Filius took the hint and took off his shirt. He wasn't as sculpted as Magnus, nowhere near it; but for someone who had been basically starved his whole life, he was doing pretty well. He slowly took off his pants. As he did, his semi-hard shaft jumped up. Magnus bent down and licked the tip gently, sending ripples of shivering pleasure through Filius' body. Am I really doing this, can I... he was interrupted as Magnus took Filius' now fully erect penis in his mouth, sucking softly. Magnus bobbed up and down slowly, his teeth softly touching the sensitive skin in his mouth. Filius' normal thought processes were obliterated and replaced by images of Magnus in increasingly "dirty" poses. His body was becoming overrun by pleasure as Magnus continued to suck. Magnus started to rub his own shaft and had closed his eyes. Filius instinctively placed his hand on Magnus' head, providing encouragement, although he needed none. The little annoying rational part of him that refused to die continued to eat away at the pleasure of the moment. Stop! Don't do this. He managed to metaphorically suffocate the voice. Magnus let the wolf meat out of his mouth and grinned. Magnus made a signal for Filius to turn around.
"Get on the bed." It was a gentle command that Filius was happy to obey. He got on the bed lying on his stomach. The panther got up and pulled the wolf up on all fours. "This is going to sting a bit, k?" The panther spread the wolf's cheeks apart and poked a finger inside. The wolf was, whose hardon had softened by now, was instantly aroused again, backside tingling with pleasure. He moved the finger around the rim several times before sticking a second finger in. It hurt a bit, but the wolf let out no signs of it. After a minute or so, the panther removed the fingers and looked at it. It called to him. It had been a while since he had allowed himself some sexual pleasure. He rubbed his paw up and down his shaft a couple times and then took aim. He pushed as hard as he could with his hips. The wolf felt it go in along with an explosion of pain and twice as much pleasure. He growl-moaned, as the panther thrust until his hips hit the wolf's buttocks. He pulled back and thrust again and again slowly picking up his pace. The wolf was enjoying ever second of it, as the pain was not as severe anymore. He started to tilt back as the panther would push. As the panther started to pant a bit, the wolf tensed the muscles in his ass. The panther moaned and plowed on, getting closer to climax, just like the wolf. The panther grabbed the wolf's throbbing meat and started to move is his paw up and down the length.
The panther grunted softly as the familiar pressure-like sensation filled his crotch. He shuddered, threw his head back and closed his eyes. The wolf's insides were blasted with shot after shot of warm semen. The thought was enough to drive the wolf's own libido crazy. The wolf started a howl but tried hard to stifle it by clamping his muzzle shut. He failed to contain it and the sound resonated in the room and, no doubt, in the hallway. The wolf collapsed mid-howl, followed by the panther on top, as wolf cum layered the sheets underneath. The panther got up on his knees and pulled his cock out of the wolf's tailhole. A bit of the clear-white liquid dripped out. The panther fell back down next to the wolf on the bed.
Magnus looked straight into Filius' golden eyes and could help but smile. They laid there smiling for a bit longer as the panted. Their breath soon caught up with them and they felt exhausted. Filius could tell Magnus was feeling the same way as he was. Magnus kissed Filius on the fore head.
"Good night." He turned and closed his eyes. Soon the panther was asleep. Filius looked over him and wrapped his arm around his lover. As far as he was concerned, he had never existed before now. His life as a colonist had never happened. He could tell life was going to be a lot better now that...
Rector stood outside the door to Magnus' room. He had heard Filius howl and, being a wolf himself, he knew that meant he was in a big situation. He opened the door slowly. Magnus was on the bed and Filius was next to him arm wrapped around him. They were both completely naked and both fast asleep. He smiled and wondered how he hadn't realized it. He had given him the advice, after all. He walked over and pulled the sheets over the both of them. He felt like a regular father, in a strange way. He walked back to the door and turned off the light. He walked out and closed the door. He leaned back on the door grasping the knob with both hands behind his back.
"Oh, Diliga..."
